Another great card, as always. Keep up the good work and on a personal note am looking forward to hearing those two reasons. LOL. Four Men meet at a crossroads in Georgia, only one can pass!… “CROSSROADS” four-way singles elimination match for the held up, WCW Heavyweight Title: “Wildfire” Tommy Rich v. The Junkyard Dog v. “The Rock” Ole Anderson v. The Usual Suspect...I think he definitely wins this one in an underdog role and then unmasks to reveal who he really is. Quote: WCW National Tag Team Title match: The Outlaws v. ©Wrecking Machine...Should make for a great match but I don't see Wrecking Machine losing the titles just yet. Quote: MACW NWA United States Title match: “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer v. ©Bruiser Valentine...Same as the Wrecking Machine. Just don't see Valentine coming away a loser. -PLUS- Quote: 30 minute Iron Man match: “The Dragon” Ricky Steamboat v. Triple L Zbyszko...I can see Larry Z replacing himself with Severn in this match and Steamboat picking up the win. Thanks for the kind words guys and the predictions also. I really appreciate it! Jonlawson, I remember you around the boards at about the time that I popped up. Welcome back, and glad to be able to earn a fan! Thanks! To those that follow this, Fight or die will be up as soon as I write it out. That said, can I get some feedback on certain things in the meantime. What I'm looking for are the areas where I can improve. What are certain things people would like to see? Are the angles too long? Should I reduce the write up's? That sort of stuff. Anything in that regards would be helpful. I want to continually find ways to improve this thing while keeping it enjoyable to write. Again, thanks, and keep those predictions coming!

WCW: The Black Saturday Era: - Major announcement, as WCW National Tag Team Champion, Dick Murdoch, has yet to confirm if he will be on hand to defend at Fight or Die. Stan “The Hammer” Hansen is outraged by what appears to have been a genuine abduction, and demands that the match be postponed. Officials at WCW have decided that the titles will be on the line at Fight or Die, with or without Dick Murdoch. This is to avoid stripping Wrecking Machine of the titles all together. What is yet to be determined, is if Stan will be allowed to choose a replacement partner. - Speaking of the WCW National Tag Team Champions, Many reporters on the wrestling seen are inquiring in to just which Tag Team is the best in America? The Following is a list of the top Tag Teams on the tip of everybody’s tongues: 1. NWA World Tag Team champions: The Horsemen (Ric Flair/Jerry Brisco) 2. WWF World Tag Team Champions: The Strongbows 3. AWA World Tag Team Champions: The High Flyer’s 4. WCW National Tag Team Champions: Wrecking Machine* * With Wrecking Machine currently ranked so high, there are talks between both WCW and MACW about a possible attraction match pitting The Horsemen, against Wrecking Machine. This of course, would be based on the success of the upcoming NWA US Title match at Fight or Die. More importantly , depending upon who comes out of Fight or Die with the titles, as The Outlaws aren’t at the top of MACW’s wish list, and Murdoch is already shared by both of us respectively. - MACW has been very cooperative in allowing Greg Valentine to defend the NWA US Title at Fight or Die, and we thank them for that. Fans in the Mid-Atlantic will have an opportunity to view the match via closed circuit television courtesy of MACW and it’s affiliates. We also thank Ricky Steamboat, the current #1 contender to the title for allowing WCW, and Buzz Sawyer, an opportunity to showcase this match! In regards to MACW, both companies continue to benefit from a strong working agreement. Executives from both parties have expressed a desire to further strengthen our relationship in the future. - And since we are on the subject of MACW and our relationship with them, allow me to fill you on in what that has to do with the formation of a certain stable known as “The Four Horsemen”. It appears that since Harley Race bested Ric Flair for the NWA World Title in the first week of January, that Flair is striking back with a vengeance. Flair showed up with Jerry Brisco the very next week and won the NWA World Tag Team Titles from Slaughter and Kernodle. Jack Brisco won the MACW Heavyweight title the same night and then, the three went on to destroy Harley Race at the end of a great show. The next Week, they employed the aid of NWA US Champion, Greg Valentine, and The Horsemen were born. Harley Race enlisted the aid of long time ring vet, Wahoo McDaniels. Wahoo aligned himself with WCW’s resident Legend, Triple L, and shockingly enough… Ricky Steamboat! Together, “Harley’s Heroes”, as they are being called; waged a war against the Horsemen that has lasted the entirety of the month. Harley Race has defended his title against both of the Bricos, the treacherous Jay Youngblood, and Ric Flair. Larry Zbyszko and Wahoo McDaniels, have already beaten the NWA Tag Team Champions in a non title match that saw Triple L pin Flair for the upset! Ricky Steamboat has been the main contender for Greg Valentines US Strap, and has come within inches of taking it on several occasions. - WCW is very excited about Zbyszko and Steamboats involvement in MACW’s main-event scene. We want our own superstars to get as close to that NWA Title as is possible! A notion that clearly has allowed these two individuals to put aside any personal differences while under the employ of WCW… - WCW has been scrutinizing it’s tag team division and has determined that the Young Guns, after having a decent performance against The Outlaws, will be given another opportunity to fight for the Southern States Tag Team titles some time in February. The A&B Connection are also lined up for a shot, but have declined for the time being as Arn wants to focus on Regaining the WCW Southern States Title. Former Southern States title holder, Les Thornton, will continue teaming with Brad Rheingans, and under the tutelage of Triple L, may find themselves at the heart of the Main Event The Dragon and Mr. Olympia are a top tier team, and their amazing match up with The Real Deal did much by way of confirming that. Savage and Idol are primed to enter the fray with a bang. I’ve not determined which Tag division they’ll be competing in as of yet. I will be keeping a close eye on them for the time being. - WCW ends it's "Money Month" with Fight or Die coming up on Sunday. It's been a long month and we are glad it's over. We have an optimistic outlook on the future, with or without TBS! WCW”s merchandising dept. has developed a program detailing, as well as analyzing Fight Or Die. These will be free to all those in attendance. We are going to kick February off with a complete Territorial report, as well as the most up to date roster report. Until then... ... Four Men... The Crossroads... Fight or Die... Be There!

All rights reserved.
The Georgia Crossroads match Junkyard Dog v. Ole Anderson v. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich v. The Usual Suspect for the held up WCW Heavyweight Title! Match analysis: For the first time in history, four men will enter the ring with a single goal in mind… Leave as the WCW Heavyweight Champion. Four men will enter at Fight or Die, and only one walks away with the glory! Elimination Rules are in effect, and the match can only end when all opposition have been individually eliminated, and one man remains. There is no set time limit, and a no count out rule is in place. Participant Analysis: Tommy Rich Rich was the reigning WCW Heavyweight Champion coming into the month and was set to face the then, MSW North American Champion, Junkyard Dog. However, Tommy Rich Suffered a brutal attack at the hands of The MIB, and his partners in crime; Jake Roberts, and Manny Fernandez. The MIB had Rich decimated by his crew under the guise of “The Usual Suspects”, and then stole the WCW heavyweight Title from Tommy Rich. Tommy has since suffered a second attack at the hands of MIB, and currently holds the greatest claim to the title. Ole Anderson Ole Anderson was the first to contribute to the Black Saturday era when he agreed to step down as head booker of WCW. He was given a #1 Contender status in the Main-Event for his sacrifice, and a match against the ranking contender, Buzz Sawyer. Ole defeated Buzz Sawyer in the first week of January, in a match that turned out to be an A* classic! Ole has been the #1 contender since then and isn’t giving up his claim to the title anytime soon! Junkyard Dog JYD walked in the door with the MSW North American title, and was determined to unify it against WCW Champion, Tommy Rich, in week one. Tommy was declared unable to compete however, and The Dog went on to defeat Paul Orndorff instead. JYD has stated that he feels had he faced Tommy, he would be the champion now, and was given a #1 contenders status due to the legitimacy thereof. The Usual Suspect/ The Man In Black This mystery man showed up on the inaugural episode of Black Saturday dressed all in black, and ordered his henchmen to destroy Tommy Rich. He then stole the WCW Heavyweight Title and has held it ever since. The MIB made a second appearance to accost Rich once again, and a third after it was revealed that Jake Roberts was one of his cohorts. He secretly ordered Manny Fernandez and Greg Valentine to attack both JYD and Ole Anderson; as well as Eric the Red, and then went on to blackmail Commissioner Malenko, into placing him into the match that could legitimize him as the champion. Four Men! Four Reasons! One Title… One goal! At the Georgia Crossroads, one man passes, everyone else falls to the Wayside!
Page 1.
NWA United States Title match: “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer v. ©Bruiser Valentine Match Analysis: NWA Rules and regulations apply. Participants: Buzz Sawyer For the greater part of the month, Buzz has been a man apart. He has been fighting for his job, as well as his life. He first lost his #1 contender-ship to the WCW title when he faced off against Ole Anderson in the match of his career. He then had to endure the firing of his younger brother, Brett Wayne, at the hands of Boris Malenko. Lastly, he was given a match in which his career was placed on the line against Bob Armstrong, in which two of his own ribs were broken. Buzz hasn’t had an easy month, and it isn’t getting any easier with Bruiser Valentine in his path. Is an NWA US title reign in the future for the young “Mad Dog”? Bruiser Valentine The reigning NWA US Champion showed up in WCW in week three of January and made an immediate impact. He, along with Manny Fernandez, under the guise of The Usual Suspects; savagely attacked #1 contenders, Ole Anderson and JYD on The Mouth of the South Show. The duo would then go on to assault Commissioner Malenko’s Enforcer, Eric the Red that night, as well as set him up in a similar capacity the following week.

WCW National Tag Team Title match The Outlaws (“Rugged” Ronnie Garvin/’Blackjack” Bobby Duncum) v. ©Wrecking Machine (Stan “The Hammer” Hansen/Dick “The Crippler” Murdoch) Match analysis: This match is set two be a normal tag team bout however, handicap rules may apply due to current circumstances. Participants: The Outlaws Ronnie Garvin was the WCW National Champion heading into the month of January. He had just introduced his good friend and new partner Bobby Duncum; and was challenging Wrecking Machine for a match for the Tag team titles when he was attacked in the ring. Jake Roberts and Manny Fernandez, in a plot to soften up WCW’s champions, had assaulted both he and Bobby under the guise of the Usual Suspects. The Outlaws assumed it was Wrecking Machine who were also wearing masks at the time and, accused them for it. An act which would later cost Garvin his National title to none other than Manny Fernandez, at the hands of Wrecking Machine. Not to be out done, The Outlaws have apparently abducted Dick Murdoch, and his whereabouts are yet to be determined. Wrecking Machine Stan Hansen and Dick Murdoch or Machines I & II Showed up in WCW at the request of Ole Anderson in week one and won the vacant WCW National Tag team titles in a classic match held in Japan. From there, they issued challenges to the toughest two men in WCW citing that they would be coming to take them out. The Outlaws answered the call immediately, and the two teams have been warring ever since. Stan Hansen may stand alone going into Fight or Die however, as after successfully defending the straps against The Real Deal; he was witness to his tag team partners abduction at the hands of The Outlaws.
Page 2.

As others have said, this is one of the more entertaining diaries. This, truly, is a great homage to the time period. You are not only capturing the wrestler's personalities very well, but also the spirit of the times. I am very much enjoying all of the thrills and spills of the M.I.B. saga (Go, Spoiler!!!). Also, I love your unifications of other regional belts. It's a great way to explain your signings and to enhance the image of GCW, Inc. as a premiere organization. Well, except for the shady dealings of that TBS deal. ;) Great job, and thanks!
30 Minute Iron Man Match The Dragon Ricky Steamboat v. Triple Zbyszko Match Analysis: This is WCW’s attempt to try something new. It has been common practice for superstars such as Steamboat and Zbyszko, to participate in matches lasting a half an hour or longer. Matches like these, usually end with a pin-fall or some other type of victory, but also end up as a Broadway or a draw. WCW would like to see these two competitors fight to a decisive victory, and as such , has attached a special rule set to this match. The competitor having the most victories in any capacity within the half an hour time limit, will be declared the winner. Victories can be obtained via pin-fall, submission, count-out or disqualification. Participants: Ricky Steamboat The Dragon may be the most sought after man in all of the territories. Currently he is pulling duties in CWF, MACW And WCW respectively, and stands as the ranking contender to the NWA US Title. In MACW, Rick has aligned himself with “Harley’s Heroes“, in an epic battle against The Four Horsemen. One of his allies, interestingly enough, is none other than his WCW nemesis, Triple L Zbyszko! Triple L Zbyszko Triple L is the self professed most intelligent man in the industry, and according to himself, a living legend. Hence the Legends challenge, a weekly segment that culminates with Zbyszko granting someone the opportunity to wrestle greatness. It was during one of these challenges that Larry first encountered Ricky Steamboat who answered the call. Zbyszko did indeed wrestle Ricky, but walked away from the match citing that it was too easy for him, while accepting a count-out. The very next week, Ricky interrupted Triple L, who was a guest on the Mouth of the South show, and challenged him on the spot. Triple L then went on to cheat his way to a victory using a set of car keys. Larry has also cost Steamboat a tag team victory which resulted in a brutal brawl that was carried into the backstage area. As it stands, Zbyszko sees Steamboat as nothing more than an annoyance. A small thorn in his side. Steamboat however, is out to prove that he is the best wrestler in the world, and sees Triple L as a stepping stone with which to do so. The bad blood between these two men continues to flow. Will Fight or Die be an ending for them, or a new beginning?

WCW National Championship match Mr. Olympia v. ©“The Raging Bull” Manny Fernandez Match analysis: Standard title defense match. NWA rules apply. Participants: Mr. Olympia Olympia has had a relatively quiet start in WCW. He’s teamed with The Dragon regularly on the under-card, but has yet to make a real impact in the Georgia region. He is however, the reigning Southeastern Champion, and as such, is an adequate contender for the WCW National Title. Manny Fernandez Manny’s impact in WCW has been immediate. He showed up in disguise on day one alongside Jake Roberts, and preceded to destroy every singles champion in WCW. He then won the WCW National title the very next week, before going on to attack both of the #1 contenders to the WCW title, as well as Eric the Red under the orders of MIB. It was when he was set to defend his title against Bruiser Valentine, that it was revealed that both he and Valentine were indeed working together as members of the Usual Suspects. They went on to brutally attack Eric the Red once again. Clearly, this match is an attempt for Commissioner Malenko to wrest back some of the power usurped from him by The Usual Suspects. Can Manny retain the title, or will the heroic Mr. Olympia, prevail?
Page 3.
Last Man Standing “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff v. The Spoiler Match analysis: A no disqualification rule will be in effect. There will be no count-outs, or pin-falls, as the match will continue on until one or both competitors are unable to answer a ten count from the referee. Participants: Paul Orndorff Mr. Wonderful has been the consummate example of a fan favorite. From his exhibiton performance in week one against JYD, to his famous pose down challenge, he aims to please. Paul however can’t please everybody, as when he fought to a double count-out draw with The Spoiler, neither man left happy. After the match, Spoiler immediately took a mic and began to taunt Orndorff, citing that their match couldn’t end that way. Orndorff agreed, and challenged Spoiler to a finisher first match for the next week. During this match, Spoiler was attacked by Chick Donovan, and as a result, both men were deemed unable to continue. The very next week, Orndorff met MIB in the main event and was attacked from under the ring by Spoiler. This attack would cost Orndorff his shot at stardom, as well as the match by count-out. The Spoiler The Spoiler has been in the thick of things from the start. From teaming up with Wrestling II in an epic match against Wrecking Machine for the vacant National Tag Team titles, to his ongoing war with Paul Orndorff. Spoiler actually kicked out of a Pile driver during a finisher first match against Orndorff, and also revealed that he has secretly been a member of The Usual suspects; when he attacked Orndorff during his match with MIB, thereby costing him the win.

WCW Southern States Championship match Malenkos Enforcer, Eric the Red v, ©Jake “The Snake” Roberts Match analysis: Standard title defense match. NWA rules apply. Participants: Eric the Red Eric was brought into WCW by Commisioner Malenko as a way to combat a string of vicious sneak attacks carried out against his current champions. In his first act as an enforcer, he rescued Tommy Rich from an attack at the hands of MIB. Later, when it was discovered that Jake was one of the masked Usual Suspects, Eric was placed in a match with Roberts as a way to punish him for his involvement. This plan would backfire however, as a disguised Manny Fernadez and Greg Valentine interfered in the match destroying Eric in the process. Eric was then supplanted into a National title match against Fernandez in the place of an apparently injured Bruiser Valentine. Valentines injury turned out to be a ruse to cover for a set up which would result in another attack on Eric at the hands of manny and Greg once again. Jake Roberts The man with the plan. It has been revealed that the mysterious Man in Black, in collusion with Jake Roberts devised an elaboprate plan to soften up WCW’s champions and then take their place. This plan started with an assault on the Southern States champion, Arn Anderson, at the hands of Manny Fernandez, and Jake Roberts. The duo would then go on to attack all of the champions in WCW before individually winning all of the singles title. Eric the Red has been Commissioners Malenko’s best attempt to thwart The Usual Suspects as they are called, but up until this point he has come up short. He has disqualification victories over both Jake, and Manny in title matches, but has yet to return the coveted gold back to the commish. Could Sunday night be the night when Eric comes through for Commisioner Malenko, or will the vile plot of The Ususal Suspects continue to come to fruition? Find out as these two superstars meet for the second time at Fight or Die!
Page 4.
CWA Southern Tag Team Title/WCW Southern States Tag Team Tournament Final and Unification match Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton/Robert Gibson) v. CWA Southern Tag Team ©The Fabulous Ones (Stan Lane/Steve Keirn) Match analysis: Standard title defense and unicifaction match. NWA rules apply. Participants: Rock & Roll Express The Rock & Roll Express have been undefeated as a Tag Team since jumping ship from MSW. Undefeated, but not unbeaten, as The Road Warrors have been making a practice out beating on the young Rockers any chance they are able. In their first encounter, Ricky and Rob beat the Warriors by DQ, when Hawk and Animal beat them from pillar to post before the ref could even gain control of the match. Hawk was then set to face Robert Gibson in a grudge match, when he was attacked by Ricky Morton before the match could start. The Rockers preceded to destroy Hawk in tandem as Animal had been taken out earlier in the evening. In the weeks since, The Rockers have experienced nothing short of hell at the hands of a united L.O.D. consisting of not only The Road Warriors, but Lord Humongous and Bam Bam Bigelow as well. In spite of all of this, Rick and Rob have managed to defeat both the A&B Connection, and Jim Cornette’s, NME to advance to the finals of the Southern States Tag Team title tournament. The Fabulous Ones Stan Lane and Steve Keirn have been nothing short of perfect since entering WCW. They are the reigning CWA Southern Tag Team Champions, and remain undefeated in both federations. It was a no-brainer, to enter them into the Southern States Tag Team tournament, and after scoring victories over both The Young Guns, and The Road Warriors; they seem primed to unify the Tag Team Titles. Could Fight or Die be such an occasion? Could a Title Unification be in the near future for The Fabo’s? Will The Rock & Roll Express come away with the biggest win of their young careers? And what of L.O.D.? What sort of impact, if any, will the Doom bringers make on this potentially epic match?

The Real Deal (Les Thornton/Brad Rheingans) w/Triple L v. The Road Warriors (Hawk/Animal) w/Paul Ellering Match analysis: Standard Tag Team match. NWA rules apply. Participants: The Real Deal To call this team a diamond in the rough is an understatement. The Real Deal individually had achieved moderate success in singles competition, with Thornton being a former Southern States champion, and Rheingans having been involved in a victory over The Armstrong family. But it was when they were placed together as the mystery opponents for Wrecking Machine that they achieved superstar staus, and legitimized themselves as a Tag Team to be reckoned with. In an Amazing match, The Real Deal took the National Tag Team Champions to the limit. Though they came up short, it was clear, Thornton and Rheingans truly are, The Real Deal! They proved this on their second outing when under the tutelage of Triple L, they picked up a victory over Steamboat and Mr. Olympia in another classic match. It is fast becoming apparent that anything these two men become involved with is destined to be classic. Will this ring true when they step into the ring against their fiercest opponents to date… The L.O.D.? The Road Warriors Hawk and Animal have been nothing short of unruly since the Black Saturday era began. They violently welcomed The Rock & Roll Express into WCW in week one when they were dq’ed for brutalizing their opponents before the bell. This resulted in a war with the Rockers that culminated when Rock & Roll Express, cost The Road Warriors a Southern States tournament finals match against The Fabulous Ones, when they ran in attacked L.O.D. Having been removed from the tourney, the entire L.O.D. stable then destroyed both the Rockers and The Fabo’s. With so much enmity between the two teams, will the Warriors be able to focus on the task at hand... The RealDeal? Or will vengeance get the better of them?

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are reading this, then WCW proudly welcomes you to Fight or Die… Enjoy the show, and we thank you for attending! D. Boon- Thank You! This is an amazing mod. Thanks for taking the time to create this so that others might enjoy it! I'm having fun with it. So many memories! OOC: Fight or Die will either be up in the wee hours, or sometime tomorrow. It's already written, it just takes me as long to code it lol. There won't be many angles in the show as I don't really use the in-game storylines, so there is nothing really to end. Just more seeds to plant, and plenty of action! Sorry for all the build up, but I felt it was nescessary as I have a big surprise in store for the show. This one is going to either make or break me, as I'm definitely going to be slapping history in the face! Stay tuned to find out exactly what happens, and afterwards, I hope I still have readers lol!

What a fantastic read this is. I love all the hype & behind-the-scenes write-ups that you use. Despite the fact that there have only been four shows, I'm enthralled in the stories, as you go to great length to make everything seem important. Keep up the great work, man. I look forward to Fight or Die, as well as the future of WCW. Hopefully, we'll see you on TV again soon.

Presents... WCW FIGHT OR DIE! Brains or Brawn? The show opens at ringside where announcers Gordon Solie, T-Bolt Patterson, and Freddy Miller are Joined By Paul Ellering and Triple L. Solie inquires about their presence together at the announce table, and Triple L explains that he and Ellering have placed a hundred dollar wager on the upcoming tag match involving their clients. Triple L goes on to say that he guarantees that The Real Deal will win this match provided that The Road Warriors enter the ring first. Ellering seconds Triple L on the bet, and then follows up by saying that it doesn’t matter which order his Legion come out in… There will be no losing for the Legion tonight, as his Warriors are far too strong. Triple L laughs this off , telling Ellering that it is all about the brains!= B+ Match 1
The Real Deal v. The Road Warriors: The Road Warriors came out to the ring first which was a change of pace. Hawk and Animal smirked as they awaited their opponents. The Real Deal stepped out into the arena and raced down to the ring much like the Warriors would do. Once there, they rolled inside and marched right up to their adversaries. Les then immediately slapped the living daylights out of Hawk. Outraged, Hawk went after Les who fled around ringside. Finally, the ref is able to gain control, and the match begins. Rheingans started this one off with Animal, and pretty much let Animal chase him around. Occasionally Animal would catch him and muscle him to the ground, only for Brad to squirm his way out, and flee again. Eventually Animal tired of this game and tagged in an awaiting Hawk. Hawk entered the ring and fell upon Rheingans with a fury. In moments, Rheingans was pounded into the canvas, when Thornton began to pat his own face with his open hand; clearly taunting Hawk. Reminded of the earlier slap, Hawk threw all caution to the wind and went after Thornton. Seeing that Hawk had taken the bait, Thornton jumps off of the ring and heads to the back at pace, with Hawk in hot pursuit. Triple L snatches his hundred dollar bill off of the announce table and points his finger at his brain as the ref reaches a ten count thus giving The Real Deal the win. The Real Deal b. CWA Southern Tag Team ©The Fabulous Ones: This was decent match between two teams that respect each others abilities. Furthermore, it was a classic example of Tag Team wrestling at it’s finest. This one had it all… Isolations… Hot tags across the board, all out, in-ring, four-way action, the whole nine yards. The match ended when all four men entered the ring and The Rockers asserted control. They hit both of the Fabo’s with their double dropkicks but decided to go to the well once again instead of making the cover. The Fabo’s used this inexperience to their advantage when they were both able to reverse Irish whips from The Rockers, and send the duo crashing into each other. Both Stan and Steve rolled Rock and Roll Express up at the same time, as Scrappy McGowen made the count. The Fabulous Ones b. Fernandez however, had other plans, most of which involved rule bending. Early on, Manny connected with a flurry of closed fisted blows, and then an eye gouge to put himself in control. Surprisingly, this match was not a brawl as the technically sound Olympia was able to force Manny into several grappling exchanges. Olympia, eventually got the better of these exchanges forcing Manny to resort to a side headlock on Olympia in order to recover some energy. Manny used his body to lay on Olympia while working the lock. Olympia got pumped on the mysterious energy that the crowd gives one in situations like these, and worked his way to his feet. The crowd rhythmically clapped him on, as he began to plant elbow’s into Manny’s stomach , in an effort to break the hold. The third elbow did the trick, as Manny was winded enough to release it. Olympia went to run into the ropes but Manny reached out in desperation and grabbed the back of his mask. He then yanked him backwards, and right into a sleeper hold. Placing his back up against the ropes, Manny frantically begins shaking Olympia. Just as it looks like Mr. Olympia was done, The A&B Connection come from out of the crowd in plain clothes. Triple L, however, being the ring general that he is, never allowed Steamboat to get him in a pinning position. A series of sunset flips from Steamboat sent Zbyszko retreating to the outside of the ring to regroup. When Zbyszko finally rolled back inside, he was met by a running cross body from the Dragon. Battle lines were drawn, and then they were crossed. Valentine quickly proved why he is the reigning NWA US Champion by taking it to Buzz from the onset. Buzz gave as good as he got, and the ref quickly lost control of this one. Buzz and the Bruiser brawled like they were in a bar room with Buzz fighting as if his life depended on it. Surprisingly, Valentine became overwhelmed by the tenacity of young Buzz, who was on him like a pit bull. Valentine is a true selling machine! That or Buzz is the Incredible Hulk. Valentine dropped to anything Buzz hit him with, and Sawyer had a lot to give. Eventually Valentine had had enough and rolled out of the ring. He grabbed his title and was going to leave when he was speared by Buzz who’d been following behind him. Valentine crashed into the announce table where Buzz straddled him and began pounding the hell out of him. Buzz then rolled Valentine back into the ring and continued to punch him full on with closed fists. The ref intervened, and Buzz relented only to resume again once the five count was broken. Buzz then began banging Valentines head into the canvas before picking him up into a big power slam. Next he made his way to the top turnbuckle and prepared to hit his finisher. As Buzz perches on the top turnbuckle and prepares to execute a top rope splash, Valentine suddenly jumps up an runs over to the corner. He Grabs Buzz by the head and let’s loose with a flurry. Buzz becomes dazed and loses his balance. He is then knocked off of the turnbuckle and to the outside of the ring. His leg however, catches onto the ropes and he is hung upside down. Valentine seizes this opportunity by planting sharp elbows onto the vulnerable limb. Once he is satisfied with the damage done, he unhooks Buzz’s foot and lets him drop to the floor below. Buzz hits hard, and lays outside the ring for awhile, clearly in pain. Greg goes right after him, and continues to work the leg while on the outside of the ring. The ref makes Valentine move the action back inside. Once there, Valentine begins dropping knees and elbows on Buzz’s wounded leg. Then dragging him to the center of the ring, Greg locks in a figure four leg-lock. Buzz screams out as the Bruiser applies pressure. Buzz reaches out for the ropes but finds that he is a world away. Next he tries to reverse the lock by flipping Valentine over, but it is to no avail. The ref gets in Buzz’s ear, and Buzz screams out: NOOOO, as indication that he is not submitting. Greg is unrelenting, as he works the lock with a vengeance. Finally Buzz drops to the mat as if he had passed out from the excruciating pain. The ref begins to raise his arm to see if Buzz is still in this match. His arm is raised and dropped twice. When the official makes the third attempt, Buzz’s arm remains in the air. Suddenly, he pops up off of the canvas and struggles to flip the hold. Again, it is to no avail. Buzz then grabs Valentines hair and begins punching him in the face. Valentine responds in like manner, and the two men trade blows back and forth while locked in the figure four. Buzz holds nothing back, and begins to pick up the pace with which he is swinging. Eventually he is able to overtake Valentine who is knocked to the canvas, thereby breaking the hold. Both lay prone for what seemed like and eternity before Buzz finally staggered to his feet. Valentine is soon to follow. Seeing this, Buzz locks Valentine into a front head lock and executes a DDT. He then crawls over to the turnbuckle and struggles his way to the top. The fact that Buzz has a wounded leg slowed the process down and allowed Valentine to get his bearings. Buzz slowly climbed down from the turnbuckle and hit another DDT. He then picked Valentine up and hit yet another DDT! Apparently satisfied, Buzz then returned to the top turn buckle and successfully lands a body splash on the Bruiser. After tonight he says, everything will be different, because he is going to win the WCW title at the Crossroads and then every enemy of the Wrecking Crew is going to have to answer to him!= B+ Stan “The Hammer“ Hansen comes out to the ring wielding both of the WCW National Tag Team titles as well as his rope and cowbell. He paces around the ring before addressing The Outlaws: Stan: Ya heard Ole out here jaw jackin ‘while ago, and ya seen what Arn and Brady did tonight! Garvin was eager to start this one off. The two men squared off in the middle of the ring with Hansen taking control. Stan hit Garvin with several knees to the gut before taking hold of his head and whipping him to the ground. He followed up with an elbow, and then bounced off of the ropes and hit another. He then drops a few knees to Ronnie’s head, and locks in a headlock. Occasionally he slides his hands down to the throat area, turning the lock into a choke. He also rubs his wrist bone roughly across the bridge of Ronnie’s nose and eyes. The match goes on for awhile in this manner with Stan in charge, and Bobby desperately awaiting a tag. Stan effectively Isolates Ronnie while taunting Bobby. Duncum tries to get in the ring but is held back by the ref. The fans begin to stomp there feet trying to motivate Garvin. Stan remains unrelenting as he lays into Garvin with a series of vicious chops and slaps across the face and chest. When Ronnie was finally able to muster the strength to fight his way out of the corner, he was stifled again by Hansen with a gouge to the throat. Stan whips Garvin into the ropes, setting him up for the Lariat, but Garvin shows a sign of life and instinctively grabs the top rope. As Stan bounces off of the opposite rope, he is met with a Hands of Stone punch and KO’d on the spot. Garvin drops as well, and both lay on the mat with Hansen asleep, and Garvin completely exhausted. Duncum stomps his feet to get the crowd going as he screams for his partner to get up. Ronnie begins to stir much to the pleasure of the crowd. He raises himself up off the canvas and begins to crawl towards the corner. The wrong corner! By the time he realizes this, Hansen has also begun to stir. Slowly moving by Hansen, Garvin struggles to get to Duncum. Seeing this, Hansen grabs Garvin’s foot preventing him from getting to his partner. The two men engage in a sort of tug-o-war, with Hansen firmly gripping Garvin’s foot, and Garvin trying to yank free. Garvin’s effort finally pays off as his foot rips loose from Hansen, and he lunges into his own corner. Duncum makes the hot tag and enters the ring on fire. Just as Stan gets to his feet, Bobby meets him with a series of blows. Stan goes down to his knees from the onslaught and begins pleading for a time out, but Duncum would have none of it. He presses the attack, slinging Hansen into a turnbuckle and then climbing up on top to unload some more. The fans count aloud as Duncum hammers him ten times before stepping down and slinging Stan into another turnbuckle. He repeated the process until he'd effectively pounded Stan ten times in all four corners. On the fourth exchange, Stan ended the assault by executing an inverted atomic drop on Duncum. As Bobby slowly turns around, Stan hit’s a desperation Lariat. Instead of going for the cover, Stan rolls out of the ring and grabs his rope and cowbell.
Stan: YOU S.O.B’s THINK THIS IS A DAMN GAME!?!…
He rolls back into the ring and Levels Duncum with the cowbell, immediately drawing blood. The ref calls for the bell as Garvin staggers into the ring in an attempt to save his partner. In turn, he is also hit with the cowbell and dropped to the canvas. Hansen then ties the cowbell to the top turnbuckle and the other end of the rope around Ronnie’s neck.. Once the rope is in place, Stan props Garvin against the ropes and then runs and hit’s a Lariat as the crowd looks on in horror. Garvin’s body is flipped over the top rope and he is effectively hung in the process. Garvin kicks wildly about as his face turns purple from asphyxiation. Stan surveys his handiwork before grabbing his National Tag Team Titles and heading off toward the back. Scrappy McGowen races over to Garvin and props his feet up while other officials hurry to free him. The Outlaws b. Stan Hansen via DQ= A
Again, we join Gordon Solie, Freddy Miller, and T-bolt Patterson at the announce table where they are talking about the upcoming Crossroads Elimination match. They talk about all of the participants and about everything leading up to this potentially historic moment. They then explain the rules, citing that there will be no DQ or count out, and that a loser must leave the ringside area immediately or be suspended from the company. They then say that each man will compete until one remains. When four men meet at a Crossroads… Only one can pass!= A As the announcers continue to hype the match, JYD heads out to the ring wrapped in chains, and a carrying a mic. He enters the ring and goes to speak. Instead, he lets the mic fall to the mat, and drops to all fours as if he is was on watch and is guarding his territory. However comedic this may be, The Dog is clearly focused as the official hasn‘t even made it out for this one yet. Clearly, JYD intends to be the first to make an impact in this historic match.= A Match 9: Crossroads, four man elimination match for the held up WCW Heavyweight Title
Junkyard Dog v. “The Rock” Ole Anderson v. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich v. The Usual Suspect: This one starts off before the bell as JYD is already in the ring ready to meet whomever emerges first from the backstage area. Ole Anderson steps out and makes his way to the ring. The Dog greets him with a head butt that drops Ole to the mat. Ole is quickly up and JYD downs him again with another head butt. At this time, Tommy Rich races down to the ring to join the fray. He is also greeted with a head butt from the Dog. JYD has a strong upper hand on both of his opponents as they continuously charge him only to be head butted to the ground. In moments, JYD has cleared the ring. Tommy and Ole are on the outside trying to regroup when MIB steps out from the crowd and tries to sneak in the ring behind JYD. The crowd are on their feet as JYD is on fire. MIB slides into the ring behind JYD who turns just in time to see him. MIB tries to retreat but JYD is on him. He grabs MIB by the back of the pants and yanks him across the ring. He then falls on him with a big Head Butt. Before picking him up and hitting the THUMP! JYD covers MIB and the ref begins to count: 1... 2... At the last second, a hand grabs JYD by the leg and yanks him off of MIB. JYD turns to see Ole Anderson who immediately throws himself on MIB. The ref goes to make the count, when JYD pulls Ole off of MIB and attempts yet another cover. Ole breaks this one up as well, and the two begin to argue. Meanwhile Tommy has positioned himself on the turn buckle in an effort to hit MIB with a flying elbow drop. MIB rolls out of the way, and heads to the outside of the ring. Tommy crashes into the mat and lays there for awhile as Ole and JYD begin to slug it out. No real art to this exchange, just sheer brutality. Two of the baddest men in WCW squaring up toe to toe with it all on the line. Ole gets the better of the Dog while MIB looks on from outside of the ring. Seeing that Tommy is beginning to recover, MIB grabs his foot and pulls him out of the ring. Tommy’s head bangs against the ground with a sickening thud as MIB leaps on him and begins wildly slapping him across the top of the head. Inside the ring, Ole has JYD on the canvas and is working a chin-lock. He releases the hold and replaces it with and arm bar. Eventually, JYD fights his way out of it and takes it to Ole, knocking him back against the ropes. On the outside, MIB has Tommy up and propped against the ring. He grabs a chair and swings it full on. Tommy ducks under it, and the chair hits JYD who had just been Irish whipped by Ole. Seizing the opportunity, Ole hit’s a running knee lift and pins JYD. Ole Anderson Eliminates JYD

MIB is still on the outside giving Tommy the what for, when he bumps into Ole Anderson. Ole Grabs him by the mask and the seat of his pants, and hurls him into the ring. He follows behind him and presses the attack. MIB struggles to get away from Ole, but is cut off. Anderson again takes a hold of the mask and begins repeatedly ramming MIB’s head into the turnbuckle. When he finally releases him, MIB falls to the ground in a heap. Tommy is still on the outside, but has managed to get back to his feet. He rolls into the ring just as Ole sets MIB up for the pin. The Ref begins to make the count when Tommy grabs his hand. Ole jumps up in anger, and Tommy covers MIB. Ole snatches him off and exchanges words with Tommy.
Ole: He’s mine you hear!? You let me take care of this and then it’s me and you!
Ole goes to cover MIB again when Tommy grabs his shoulder thereby staying him. In frustration, Ole turns and knocks the crap out of Tommy. Tommy falls into the corner where an angered Ole begins planting boots to his chest and face. MIB crawls to the adjacent corner, and watches the action while he recuperates. Ole appears unstoppable at this point as he viciously kicks Tommy into the mat. Once MIB has recovered, he goes to join in on the assault when he spots something out of the corner of his eye.
The Princes of the Universe! Instinctively, MIB rolls out of the ring as Buzz Sawyer comes running down with chair in hand. Buzz enters the ring and whacks Ole in the back of the head with the chair.= A*
Ole’s eyes reduce to pin pricks, but he does not fall. Instead, he slowly turns around to face Buzz. Buzz raises the chair again and levels Ole with it, busting his head completely open. Ole falls forward and lands on his face. Buzz again lifts the chair high above his head and brings it crashing down on Ole. He then rolls Ole over, and throws Tommy on top of him. The ref makes the three count as Buzz stands against the ropes keeping MIB in check. Tommy Rich Eliminates Ole Anderson

Seeing that the deed is done, Buzz eyes Rich for a moment before heading to the back. MIB watched on from outside of the ring as Rich rose to his feet. He turns in MIB’s direction and points his finger at him. The crowd goes bananas! MIB refused to get back in the ring so Tommy took the fight to him.. MIB fled around ringside as Tommy chased him. Finally, MIB rolled into the ring and stopped short to plant a boot to Tommy’s already injured head. MIB then began hitting Tommy with an uncontrolled flurry of punches that effectively aggravated the damage. Tommy was all fight though, and willing himself through the attack he responds with some punches of his own. From there it was all Tommy as he was able to seize control due to the advantage given him by Buzz Sawyer. The crowd got behind him 100 percent, and Tommy began to heat the place up. A hip toss here, a running clothesline there, and MIB was soon on his knees pleading for a break. Tommy came right at him and eventually set him up for a flying fist from the turnbuckle. The move connected, and Tommy found himself in position to make the pin. Instead, Tommy set MIB up and began to unlace his mask. MIB remained motionless as Tommy was able to get it completely unlaced. With a sharp tug, the mask is ripped off of MIB’s head to reveal… Another mask! In frustration, Tommy goes to pick MIB up and finally put him away when he is hit in the growing area. MIB grabs a hand full of Tommy’s hair, and pulls him down to the mat. He then locks in a sleeper hold before Rich can react. MIB wraps his legs around Tommy’s waste and begins to shake about. Tommy reaches out for the ropes but he is in the center of the ring, and MIB has him wrapped so that he has little to no mobility. Here is where prior damage begins to take it’s toll. Over the past few weeks, Tommy has been concussed on more than one occasion, and has taken several bangs to the head in this match alone. Reality quickly sets in, and Tommy falls to sleep just as fast. The entire arena falls silent as the ref drops Tommy’s arm for the third time, and the bell rings out. The Usual Suspect b. Greg McNeish, thanks a lot for the kind words. They were/are very encouraging. I'm glad you are enjoying this! Again, thanks. Angeldelayette, I have to give you props for calling out Piper as a Usual Suspect from the start. I was VERY surprised by that. You called out Jake and Roddy right off the bat. Also, I have to thank you for helping me out with deciding who should win the tag tourney. I used your idea but in reverse, and a week earlier. I had the Rockers cost LOD the semifinals match instead of the LOD costing the Rockers the final. However, it was your comment that inspired the idea. Also, aside from wrecking my car two days ago, I dragged on posting the second half. I’d written it out and then decided to expand the Iron man match. Once I did that, I didn’t feel right with the rest of the show, so I re-wrote the main event matches all together hence the drag. As always, I appreciate your comments, and more importantly, your input! I also laud your insight! Thanks!

WCW: The Black Saturday Era:
- We have received an overwhelming response from our fans over the course of the last week. I’ve been pouring through letters from die hard fans expressing their disgust with TBS over the block of info-mercials that aired last weekend in the time slot normally reserved for Black Saturday. In response, WCW officially announces that it has parted ways with Ted Turner and associates, and will no longer be seen on TBS television. - We have also promptly been informed by the NWA, that the NWA UNITED States Title is to be returned to Greg Valentine, as they are not recognizing the Buzz Sawyer match that took place at Fight or Die. Apparently, the NWA feel WCW mislead them by not disclosing information in regards to the cancellation of our National television contract. The NWA feels that our current war with MSW, coupled with this “deception” as they are calling it, is a clear attempt to go against territorial values. As a result, they are the declaring the US Title match unofficial. To substantiate this for fans in the Mid-Atlantic, MACW showcased another classic Steamboat/Valentine match for the United States Title. Valentine retained once again, in a match that I am told, rated a strong A. - On a similar note, CWA have been more than happy to continue to recognize The Fabulous Ones as the reigning, Unified Southern Tag Team Champions. - I’ve been in several closed door sessions with Finance Dept. Throughout the past week, and I’ve been told that WCW has lost just over a hundred thousand dollars in the month of January. As a result, my job could be in Jeopardy. I’ve convinced Mr. Barnett to look at the losses as an investment as our popularity has grown in the region as a result. So much so that… - WCW has been in negotiations with TV Cable Southeast, and things are looking good! TVCSE is very enthusiastic about picking up our programs. They had executives on hand at Fight or Die, who had nothing but positive things to say about the experience. They want to be apart of it and have offered a contract for two seasons. The only thing left to be worked out is the day, and the timeslot. - Fight or Die was the first event where WCW was able to turn a profit. We made a whopping 2,253 dollars after expenses. The bright side is, we now know that we can make money off of our shows! Speaking of shows… - WCW postpones it’s trip to the Great Lakes in the first week of February as we prepare for THE SIX DAY WAR! WCW is going to be strategically striking venues throughout the Southeast, starting on the third Monday in February, and culminating the following Saturday in the Mid-South! We are going to be releasing a promotional poster advertising the Main Events for each night. Advance booking has already been released for the Mid-South show. WCW intends to drop a bomb on the region by giving their fans a Stan Hansen/Dory Funk Jr. Main Event. JYD has also been confirmed for the show. - In regards to Funk Jr; He is just one of many attempts to reach out to superstars not currently employed in America. Commisioner Boris Malenko, has also called in several foreign workers to aid he and Eric The Red, in their power struggle with The Usual Suspects. “The Warsaw Pact,” is the name of the agreement signed between Boris Malenko, and a contingency of four foreign workers. Malenko has informed me that the group will be operating under the moniker, “The Red Army,” and will be making an impact very soon in the WCW. - As impacts go, Fight or Die was pretty big! Several of our workers have been placed on the injury list until further notice. They are listed as follows: 1. Ole Anderson: Severe Concussion 2. Paul Orndorff: Neck Injury, Severe Concussion The following workers have been placed on the injury list but are cleared to wrestle: Ronnie Garvin: Bruised neck Ricky Morton: Broken Nose Randy Savage has returned from injury and is expected to participate in The Six Day War with tag partner, Austin Idol. Savage Idol are set to face The Fabulous Ones for the Unified Southern Tag Titles, when WCW hit’s Memphis. - It has also been confirmed that Roddy Piper will have a mandatory WCW Heavyweight Title defense at some point in time within the month of February. - Ted Dibiase continues to reject negotiations with MSW, as he feels that he is the future of the Mid-South. I am high on him, and will continue to pursue him in the months to come. In the meantime, I see no reason not to attempt an audience with Tully Blanchard down in SWCW. He is in a similar vein as Dibiase, and perhaps will be more willing to work with us. - Whatever the case, WCW marches on. “Money Month” is over, and without a TV deal until next season, we are focusing on recuperation in the form of the Six Day War. Get your tickets now, folks… …Be There!
While this isn't as big a gate as yesterdays show, as long as I'm not losing money, I'm happy. On another note, The Real Deal continue to have a midas touch in the ring. Savage Idol and The Fabo's performed well in fron't of the hometown crowd. Here's hoping CWA doesn't decide to capitolize off of my booking ideas! Lastly, I had to get Tommy on this card at the last minute because, what is Tennessee without Tommy Rich?
Next: Triple L Zbyszko & Dan "The Wrestler" Severn take on The Dragon & Mr. Olympia when the Six Day War heads to Alabama! This is our biggest profit ever, so you know I‘m breaking out the bubbly! On another note, screwed up travel arrangements have kept both Ricky Steamboat, and Triple L laid over in the Mid-Atlantic. That‘s the reason why the scheduled main event was cancelled. Fortunately for us, Buzz Sawyer and Tommy Rich were more than happy to fill in, along with Piper and The Spoiler. The results… Another classic for the beta max collectors!
Next: 1. It paid off as our profits were sizeable. Looks like the four dollar increase in ticket prices is going to become the norm. I booked the Piper/JYD match at the last minute as Ole has not been cleared to wrestle. It turned out to be a great match, and it looks like the DOG is going to be real strong when we hit the Mid-South this weekend!
Next: WCW comes home to Georgia, where The Rowdy one goes up against Tommy Rich in a mandatory WCW Heavyweight Title defense!
