7 - Summer Adventure Tag League Block A - YAMATO[W], Naruki Doi (20:24 Gallaria) BxB Hulk, Dragon Kid [L]

Ryo Saito and Susumu Yokosuka celebrated their victory over the traitorous ex-Jimmy Yasushi Kanda. Saito said this win was especially sweet as he managed to get the pin on the man that destroyed his beloved Jimmyz. Hoping to carry the momentum forward, Saito stated that he very much hopes that Susumu and himself meet up with DoiYAMA in the semi finals of the Summer Adventure Tag League so that they can get a small manner of revenge for the Jimmyz.

Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin didn't attack Kzy after the match this time, Kzy's Dia Hearts comrades Masaaki Mochizuki and Big R Shimizu staying at ringside for his match in case of a Kyu Kyu attack. Instead Kyu Kyu claimed that the madness was over and starting from now, he was back to the clean fighting Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin. He took the end of the Jimmyz hard but now he's over it and ready to forge his own path!

Shingo Takagi took to mocking his stable mates Masato Yoshino and Shachihoko BOY. What kind of a Dream Gate champion loses to an old fool like Mochi? And what kind of a partner is Shachihoko BOY, he didn't even make an attempt to break up the pinfall. At least Monster Express had two winners tonight in Akira Tozawa and Shingo Takagi. Yoshino went face to face with Shingo here, Tozawa playing peacekeeper and getting the two stable mates to shake hands, Shingo looking noticeably displeased at having to make amends with the "weaker" Monster Express members.

DoiYAMA called out Susumu & Saito after the main event. Doi asked Saito what he was hoping to achieve by saying he hoped to meet the great DoiYAMA in the finals of the Summer Adventure Tag League? Was it not enough that Doi embarrassed Saito, Susumu and all the rest of those pathetic Jimmyz when he helped Yasushi Kanda come to his sense and end the pathetic display that was the Jimmyz? Doi wondered if Saito was all there, thinking he and his stupid parter Susumu could even take DoiYAMA. Saito countered saying the Jimmyz might be dead but the spirit lives on and when the Summer Adventure Tag League is over, Susumu and Saito are coming directly for DoiYAMA's Open The Twin Gate championships.

6 - SUMMER ADVENTURE TAG LEAGUE BLOCK A MATCH - Eita[W], T-Hawk (14:36 Numero Uno) Akira Tozawa[L], Shingo Takagi

Mochizuki and Big R celebrated getting through to the semi-finals of the Summer Adventure Tag League after their win over Kotoka & U-T. Mochizuki said that everyone else was talking as if himself and Big R were out of the running, adding that maybe everyone else's focus on their own revenge might make it easier for himself and Big R to walk away winners. Big R didn't really add much to Mochizuki's statements, simply stating that BIG! R! was ready to tackle anyone standing in his way.

CIMA and Gamma had another argument following their last Block A loss. CIMA was the one to walk away, leaving a pissed off Gamma in the ring alone.

Eita and T-Hawk celebrated their victory in the main event before being interrupted by DoiYAMA. Doi did most of the talking, saying that the Millenials haven't beaten anyone of note. They beat a pair of losers in CIMA and Gamma and then made that idiot Tozawa tap out. They'll fall at the feet of DoiYAMA just like everyone else has so far. Doi attempted more trashtalking but was met with a superkick from Eita. Taking the microphone, Eita said he was through listening to Doi's nonsense. 2015 is the year of the Millenials. Eita would love nothing more than to shut Doi up permanently and when they face off, Doi would be at the same fate as Tozawa, a Numero Uno except with Doi, Eita won't be so quick as to remove the hold. YAMATO stood in the background, looking impressed by Eita's fire and bemused at the sight of Doi on the mat recovering.

Dragon Gate Summer Adventure Tag League Tour Show #5

  1. Dragon Kid, Seiya Sanada[W] (9:26 This Is It [Dragon sleeper with bodyscissors]) Cyber Kong[L], Yasushi Kanda in 9:29 when Seiya Sanada defeated Cyber Kong by pinfall with a German Suplex
  2. Kzy (12:17 Impact) Ricochet
  3. SUMMER ADVENTURE TAG LEAGUE BLOCK B MATCH - Ryo Saito, Susumu Yokosuka (14:22 Dragon Suplex) Kotoka, U-T[L]

  6. Masato Yoshino, Akira Tozawa, Shingo Takagi[W] (16:08 MADE IN JAPAN) Masaaki Mochizuki, Big R Shimizu[L], BxB Hulk
  7. SUMMER ADVENTURE TAG LEAGUE BLOCK A MATCH - Naruki Doi[W], YAMATO (16:28 Muscular Bomb) Eita, T-Hawk[L]

Yasushi Kanda berated Cyber Kong for tapping out after their match. Kong looked set to fight with Kanda but decided against it and walked away from the proceedings.

Mr Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin was relentless in his match with Flamita, shades of their 2014 Dangerous Gate encounter shining through. Choosing to end the match with the Implant after a Casanova that rattled Flamita's brains, Kyu Kyu looked set to slip back into the mindset he carried himself with after the collapse of the Jimmyz but pulled himself together and let Flamita away after the match.

Gamma got involved towards the end of the fifth match, accidentally hitting CIMA with a kendo stick shot that was meant for K-Ness which allowed K-Ness to pull off the Hikara No Wa flash pin. Post-match K-Ness interrupted the argument that was brewing between CIMA and Gamma to challenge them and Don Fujii to put their Open The Triangle Gate championships on the line against K-Ness, Yasushi Kanda and Mondai Ryu. CIMA looked back in disbelief at the mention of Mondai Ryu as a partner, asking K-Ness if he meant Cyber Kong or even Punch Tominaga. K-Ness was resolute saying that under his tutelage, Mondai Ryu was even greater than before. CIMA accepted the challenge and said whatever troubles were occurring between himself and Gamma, they wouldn't affect their Open The Triangle Gate reign.

Shingo pushed around Big R after the match. THIS is the great Big R everyone has been talking about? Shingo defeated him easily! What chance does he have against established teams like DoiYAMA and SusumuSaito if he can't even beat a team that contains a loser like Masato Yoshino. Yoshino questioned Shingo, pointing to the Open The Dream Gate championship. Shingo countered that Yoshino's performance in the Summer Adventure Tag League was not the performance the Open The Dream Gate champion should be having. Tozawa stepped in to prevent any further conflict from occurring. Mochizuki did the talking on behalf of an enraged Big R. If Shingo was so great, why is his record in this year's Summer Adventure Tag League so bad? Shingo mentioned Yoshino's performance but Yoshino won more matches in his block than Shingo did in his! Leaving the ring soon after, Shingo stood in the ring, glaring daggers at Mochizuki as he left.

Doi gloated in his victory after the main event. DoiYAMA were undefeated in their block just like he said they would be. The f***ing Millenials were defeated, just like Doi said they would be. Now was the time for the idiots to realise that 2015 isn't going to be their year. No year is. Not whilst DoiYAMA walk the earths as the greatest tag team around. Turning his attentions to the other teams, Doi declared that it doesn't matter who steps forward. DoiYAMA has beaten them all. They may as well just end the Summer Adventure Tag League right now and crown DoiYAMA the champions for 2015 and any future tag leagues that occur.

Bloody hell, BxB & Dragon Kid have just sneaked in there ain't they? Might just be me but I feel like they've received very little attention haha. I'm pulling for SusumuSaito still but just like I had Eita fall short of the mark, I think you're gonna do much of the same just to spite me. :p

I can't be held accountable for the future however.

Dragon Gate Summer Adventure Tag League Tour Show #5

Prelude to the Finale!~

  1. Super Shisa, Shachihoko Boy[W] (7:33 Moonsault Press) Yosuke
  2. CIMA[W], Gamma, Kotoka (7:41 Egoist Schwein) K-Ness, Mondai Ryu, Punch Tominaga[L]
  3. Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki (6:27 Implant) U-T
  4. Cyber Kong (7:38 Pineapple Bomber) Don Fujii
  5. Akira Tozawa, Shingo Takagi[W], Masato Yoshino (16:02 Pumping Bomber) T-Hawk, Eita, Flamita[L]
  6. YAMATO, Naruki Doi[W] (19:14 Bakatare Sliding Kick) Masaaki Mochizuki[L], Big R Shimizu
  7. Ryo Saito, Susumu Yokosuka[W] (18:05 World Liner) BxB Hulk, Dragon Kid[L]

The semi-final draws were made at the start of the show. Every team was out in force and gave a short speech. DoiYAMA once again taunted the remaining teams, saying he was surprised to see BxB Hulk and Dragon Kid standing out with the other finalists as their performances were so nondescript that Doi had even forgotten that they were a part of the tournament! Hulk responded to Doi's words by saying that all the focus was on the other teams, perfect conditions for him and Dragon Kid to sneak up and steal the Summer Adventure Tag League victory. Mochizuki quickly reminded Hulk that Mochizuki and Big R had a perfect record in the block stage and that they'd carry this momentum forward and win the whole tournament adding that he hopes he meets Hulk and Dragon Kid in the finals. Saito took to the microphone admonishing Doi for his arrogance but also the Dia Hearts teams for their confidence. Susumu and Saito might have had a rough start to the tournament but they have the most to prove. They have to redeem themselves for the Jimmyz! The draw was then made - DoiYAMA vs Mochizuki & Big R and Susumu & Saito vs Hulk & Dragon Kid.

CIMA verbally berated K-Ness after their match. Here he was with one show away from the Open The Triangle Gate match and he picks Punch f***king Tominaga as his partner in this warm-up match? Was Kanda busy? Monchan was the one to speak, saying that Punch was merely a distraction. Were was CIMA's other old fool? Why did this young idiot Kotoka have to be involved? At the Summer Adventure Tag League tour closing show, the result would be a lot different. MAD BLANKEY will become the Open The Triangle Gate champions and then Mondai Ryu is going to pickle the earth with his deadly championship caliber salt!

Mr Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin reverted back to his old ways, attacking U-T even after Tanizaki won the match. Tanizaki's fellow ex-Jimmy Genki Horiguchi made his way out to stop the attack and told Tanizaki he was stepping up to stop Tanizaki's madness! Horiguchi took the end of the Jimmyz hard himself but he hasn't stooped down to attacking people post match. Hopefully after their match, regardless of the result, Genki would get the old fun loving Mr Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin back instead of whatever he has become.

Flamita stayed down on the mat after the Monster Express/Millenials match. Shingo taunted him, saying that the weak don't deserve to belong in Dragon Gate and that certainly includes Flamita and the rest of the damn Millenials. Eita quickly reminded Shingo that Eita & T-Hawk defeated Shingo & Tozawa in the block stage of the Summer Adventure Tag League. But that wasn't Eita's main point. He pointed to Tozawa. Eita reminded Tozawa that it was he who lost the match for Monster Express in the tag encounter thanks to Eita's Numero Uno. Eita kept it simple. He wants a shot at Tozawa's Open The Brave Gate championship and he wants it at the next show. Shingo looked to interrupt but Tozawa was quicker. Yes, Eita made him tap out. But it won't happen again. Tozawa is the permanent Brave Gate champion and Eita wasn't going to change that.

DoiYAMA came out after the main event. Doi was impressed. He expected Susumu and Saito to choke at this stage. It's what they're known to do. Regardless of that, it will all change at the finals of the Summer Adventure Tag League. DoiYAMA will defeat them and show them as the pathetic losers they are. DoiYAMA are the greatest tag team in all of the world. Susumu and Saito aren't even worms compared to them. He told them to get out of his ring, to go and prepare for the quickest beating they'll ever face. Saito was steadfast. The finals bring the greatest shot of redemption for the Jimmyz. Saito isn't doing this purely for himself. Susumu the same. They're doing it for Genki. For Mr Kyu Kyu. And last but not least, they're doing it for poor Kagetora who, thanks to Yasushi Kanda's treachery, doesn't have a unit to come home to! The time for talking was indeed over however. The finals would bring closure to the end of the Jimmyz and closure to Doi's arrogance.

Kenichiro Arai & Super Shenlong IV vs Super Shisa & Shachihoko Boy

A pretty play-by-the numbers tag match in the dark match. The main story of the match was Kenichiro's attempts to keep up with the pace of Shenlong & Shachihoko as well as combatting Shisa's technical prowess. Shenlong came into his own in the later stages of the match, striking Shachihoko with stiff shots and ending the match with a big Brainbuster.

BxB Hulk, Dragon Kid, Kzy vs Kotoka, El Lindaman, Yosuke

More of an excerise than a competitive contest for the Dia Hearts trio as they faced the Millenials lower rung trio. The Millenials trio had small pockets of offence but ultimately they would fall to the experience of the Dia Hearts trio. BxB Hulk would be the man to get the win for his team after a First Flash to El Lindaman.

Ricochet vs Seiya Sanada

Sanada looked to reverse his fortunes since joining Dragon Gate, a win over the former Dream Gate champion Ricochet would definitely do that. Starting off slow, the match ramped up in pace as soon as Ricochet gained the offensive. Almost grabbing the win with a shooting star press that gained a very close two count, Ricochet attempted a 630....only for Sanada to move at the last minute. A briding tiger suplex led to the This Is It [Dragon Sleeper with Bodyscissors] and aptly enough, that was it for Ricochet in the contest.

Cyber Kong, Dr Muscle vs Big R Shimizu, Masaaki Mochizuki

Mochizuki and Shimizu came out all guns blazing against the MAD BLANKEY duo. Dr Muscle looked and acted differently than he has done in previous matches which confused even Cyber Kong. Shimizu had no time for mystery masked men, slamming and brawling with Cyber Kong which left Mochizuki to handle the seemingly new Dr Muscle which Mochi handled with kicks a-plenty. Wearing the MAD BLANKEY duo down, Big R got the win with an impressive Shot-Put Slam on Cyber Kong.

Masato Yoshino, Shingo Tozawa vs T-Hawk, U-T

Shingo sent Shachihoko Boy to the back as he came out to second Monster Express, a move that raised the ire of his partner Masato Yoshino. T-Hawk and U-T were a more cohesive unit, two of the original Millenials working together to cut off the Monster Express team whenever they could. Shingo eventually bullied his way back in, showing no mercy as he battered U-T from pillar to post. A quick break saw T-Hawk enter the ring and a proper HOSS BATTLE!~ occurred as neither Shingo or T-Hawk wanted to give way. A Yoshino interception broke up the hoss fest, Yoshino using his lightning quick agility to run rings around T-Hawk. A Torbellino attempt was countered into a BT Bomb by T-Hawk which seemed to anger Shingo more than it did Yoshino. Charging in with a Pumping Bomber which put T-Hawk down for a 2.9 count, Shingo was a man uncaged. Dishing out punishment with a reckless abandon, he eventually won the match for his team with a MADE IN JAPAN on U-T.

Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!! vs Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin

Genki was apprehensive as he approached Naoki - who was decked out in the Jimmyz Combat Mode paint and jumpsuit combo rather than his normal wrestling attire. Genki tried appealing to Naoki as the match started, asking him to come back to the fun loving Mr. Kyu Kyu who was with the Jimmyz even getting a Mr Kyu Kyu chant going from the crowd. Naoki was having none of it as he manhandled his former stable mate, even pulling some hair from the head of Genki. This seemed to flip a switch inside Genki who got up and engaged in combat with Naoki. Genki's anger at the loss of some of the very little hair he has powered him through to victory as he ducked under a Casanova attempt and caught Naoki in a Backslide from Heaven for the win!

As Genki celebrated, Naoki looked desolate then enraged. Clubbing Genki from behind, he picked up his former stablemate and dropped him down with an Implant before finishing him up with a Casanova. Saying that Kanda had the right idea when he betrayed the Jimmyz, Naoki made it clear that he was done playing nice. It's gotten him nowhere. No unit. No championships. A stupid name. He was sorting that last one right now. Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin is over. Once again, he was the old out of control Naoki Tanizaki!

The promo video played for the Open The Triangle Gate championship match which highlighted Kanda's betrayal of the Jimmyz, the problems between Osaka06 and the last promo battle where CIMA and Mondai Ryu faced off.

CIMA, Don Fujii, Gamma © vs K-Ness, Mondai Ryu, Yasushi Kanda

The MAD BLANKEY trio attacked as soon as their introductions were done, swarming around the Triangle Gate champions and throwing them all out to the ringside area. Don Fujii and Yasushi Kanda fought their way into the stands of the famous Korakuen Hall whilst Mondai Ryu, K-Ness and the rest of MAD BLANKEY that seconded the challengers set to work on hurting CIMA and Gamma. Kanda almost ended up over the balcony thanks to Fujii but fought his way out of the situation and back to the ring. In the ring, CIMA had powered through the MAD BLANKEY attack to out wrestle Mondai Ryu, almost grabbing the win after a Meteora but a K-Ness kick to CIMA's head broke up that pin attempt.

Gamma soon forced his way in to the displeasure of CIMA, a minor argument between the pair allowing Yasushi Kanda to come in and JOHN WOO!~ Gamma into the corner - unintentionally aided by a CIMA shove to Gamma. The MAD BLANKEY numbers game came into earnest as Mondai Ryu distracted Referee Yagi which allowed the MAD BLANKEY train to run in and attack Gamma with a wave of attacks in the corner. Don Fujii soon entered the ring, slapping his old rival Kanda in the chest with great tenacity.

Gamma would be responsible for his team's loss as an errant cane shot struck Don Fujii instead of the intended target K-Ness, the follow up salt attack by Mondai Ryu being almost unneccessary and the Darkness Buster from K-Ness being the icing on the MAD BLANKEY cake.

Akira Tozawa © vs Eita

Eita flashed the Cero Miedo handsign on his way into the ring, sporting the Perros del Mal style shirt as well. Tozawa was more subdued in his entrance, forgoing his traditional run onto the turnbuckle. Instead Tozawa stood in his corner, seconded by no one and starting intensely at the challenger.

A large portion of the beginning of the match saw Eita and Tozawa trade holds and throws with Eita ending up on the outside and Tozawa gearing up for a dive....only for him to spring off the middle rope and land in his signature TOO EASY pose whoever the usual cheeky smile wasn't on his face, replaced with a look of determination and focus. Kicking Eita in the head as he attempted to make his way back into the ring, Tozawa was in complete control and his confidence began to creep back in. Throwing Eita into the corner for a rapid fire series of chops, Tozawa finished off his trademark flurry with a closed first punch to the jaw which left Eita reeling.

Tozawa soon found himself on the back foot however, Eita blocking the pump kick attempt and using his speed to take Tozawa down for an immediate Numero Uno attempt - an attempt that was only blocked by Tozawa getting a foot on the ropes! Targeting Tozawa's arm, Eita was ruthless in his attacks but every time he went to fully lock on the Numero Uno, Tozawa would find his way to the ropes before the hold was locked in.

A German Suplex reversal from Eita saw the first pinfall attempt of the match, a 2 count that seemed to rattle the defending champion. Rolling outside to gain his bearings, Tozawa turned around at the last possible second to see Eita come sailing through the air with a big suicide dive, Eita crashing into Tozawa and sending him and Eita's seconds to the ground.

The impact seemed to stagger Tozawa for the rest of the match, leaving Eita with advantage. An R-TEACH (Hammerlock Argentine backbreaker flipped backwards into a facebuster) got Eita a two count but Eita wasn't too hurt by this, locking Tozawa in the Numero Uno in the middle of the ring. Tozawa fought as long as he could but with nowhere to go, Tozawa found himself tapping out to prevent further damage to his arm,

Naruki Doi, YAMATO vs Ryo Saito, Susumu Yokusuka

Doi and YAMATO brought their big match attire - Doi with his hair and beard bleached silver and YAMATO debuting a new, more regal looking ring jacket - whilst Saito and Susumu had their regular attire. One upping the MAD BLANKEY pair, Saito and Susumu attacked Doi and YAMATO as the ring announcements were being made - forcing the action to the outside to start. Keeping the momentum, both Susumu and Saito used the outside environment to their advantage and kept DoiYAMA downed. Even the numbers advantage of MAD BLANKEY on the outside couldn't stop the initial onslaught from Saito and Susumu, only the referee's count nearing 20 got the action back into the ring.

Doi quickly regrouped, gaining the upper hand on Saito. With Mondai Ryu distracting Referee Yagi, Doi used the cheating edge of MAD BLANKEY, throwing Saito into the corner and starting a MAD BLANKEY train that ended with a big splash from Cyber Kong that squashed Saito in the corner and left him open to YAMATO's running single leg kick to Saito. A Bakatare Sliding Kick followed up, Susumu getting into the ring just in time to break up the count and keep his team in the match.

Being the fresher man Susumu overpowered Doi, keeping on top of him and hitting him with a Jumbo no Katchi! In a similar scenario to Doi's Bakatare, YAMATO got into the ring in time to break up the count, stomping on Susumu's arm as he broke the count up. Once again attempting MAD BLANKEY interference, the attempt failed as Referee Yagi refused to listen to Mondai Ryu, turning around to see MAD BLANKEY swarming on Susumu. Sending the whole MAD BLANKEY squadron to the back - to incredulous looks from Doi and YAMATO - Yagi wasn't listening to any arguments telling DoiYAMA that his decision is final.

This turned the tide of the match, DoiYAMA growing desperate knowing that their security net was gone. Frantic finisher attempts from both men led to quick counts but nothing would stick to win the match. Saito reversed a Frankensteiner of the Almighty attempt by YAMATO, grabbing a very close near fall. Diving out of the ring after the pinfall attempt, YAMATO was wide open to a Jumbo no Katchi!-gatame from Susumu, Saito grabbing and holding onto Doi for dear life - Doi clearing himself from Saito JUST after the three count!

Post match Doi took to the microphone. This was an injustice! Yagi practically handed Saito and Susumu the victory! Calming down, he offered a handshake to both Saito and Susumu. Looking wary at accepting it, the victorious pair eventually accepted the offer - Doi leaving ahead of YAMATO.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Dragon%20Gate/Others/Ryo%20Saito%20150.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Dragon%20Gate/Others/Susumu%20Yokosuka%20150.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Dragon%20Gate/Others/Genki%20Horiguchi%20150.jpg

Saito took to the microphone to give the victory speech. The Jimmyz disbandment was tough to soldier on through. That unit was his home for so long and he didn't think he would ever get over it. Winning the Summer Adventure Tag League with his good friend Susumu helped him move on from the Jimmyz. Joined by former Jimmyz stablemate Genki Horiguchi, the winning team posed with the Summer Adventure Tag League trophy and bowed to the fans in attendance before leaving.

I'll admit, for someone who feels confident in how much I know about puroresu, I'm very uninformed when it comes to DG. However, this is some great work. I think the first few posts you made are some of the best journal setup pages I've ever seen. That is enough info for someone to dive right into the real product, and beyond enough to follow your work. I really like what you have so far, and I will do my best to read and make reasonable predictions going forward.

Moreover, I definitely understand the struggle with formatting and pictures. I really wanted to try just posting text, but I don't put nearly as much effort into match write ups as you or Mootinie do, so I think my format is somewhere in-between, with minimal text and some pics too. If only we had a robot or an intern to type all these up...

Great show. And not just because my boys won it. :D

Let's be honest, it's because T-Hawk lost. Isn't it? :p

Thanks for the kind words dean! I've got a real passion for DG and I'm glad it's coming through and I'm glad that the opening posts were a help/pleased yourself.

If we had a robot to write shows it'd make all of our lives 100x easier! Either that or I could employ the robot to do the trading card gimmick I had planned to run with this. :D

I loved the show! Great to see Eita winning the belt.

Eita boys! He's in my top five of DG workers - BxB Hulk, Kzy, Mochizuki & Tozawa round out the rest of the list. I was extremely upset when he lost at Kobe World to Tozawa, this is my way of rectifying that! :p

And, now, the news!

Thanks to Mootinie for the graphic!

I'm happy to announce that myself and Mootinie will be teaming up for two cross-dynasty shows!

He'll be welcoming the world of Dragon Gate into his New Japan diary and I'll be welcoming New Japan into here. This project's been in the works for a long time and was actually the #1 factor behind me picking up the ball and running with the diary again. It has taken some amount of time to get to this point and it's had some real thought go into it from both sides. If you, for some reason, are reading this without having read Mootinie's work I heavily encourage you to do so. For me personally, it's the single greatest RW diary on the board.

If you're not familiar with his NJPW work, I'll be writing the characters from his world in great detail so you, as a reader, can understand the motives behind the matches. I know for a fact Mootinie will be doing the exact same.

I'm very interested in seeing how this goes over. It's been a while since I've seen a crossover on the boards - Jim Force Month was the last one I seen (we need to do it again! :p). It is a fresh idea, an idea that is challenging to myself as a writer and hopefully entertaining to you as a reader. The schedule is that Mootinie will post NJPW Together Gate first and I'll follow it up with Dragon Gate Open The New Japan Gate. These will be the next show in either diaries and they should drop in a week or so.

Hope you enjoy! And if you're new to this thanks to Mootinie's post, welcome! :)

Open The New Japan Gate Preview

Credit to Mootinie for the graphic above!

Following on from the New Japan Together Gate, New Japan and Dragon Gate will once again join forces to present Open The New Japan Gate live from the World Memorial Hall in Kobe - live on traditional PPV and iPPV around the world!

0 - Big R Shimizu & El Lindaman vs Sho Tanaka & Yohei Komatsu

Dragon Gate's youngest generation clash with New Japan's young lions in the pre-show as Big R Shimizu of Dia Hearts and the Millenials' El Lindaman face off against Sho Tanaka & Yohei Komatsu!

1 - CIMA, Gamma, Don Fujii, Kotoka & T-Hawk vs Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga & Punch Tominaga

Pissed off about being left off of the Together Gate, the Bullet Club issued a challenge to any Dragon Gate workers. Finding themselves faced with the challenge of Osaka06, Don Fujii and the Millenials pairing of T-Hawk and Kotoka, the Bullet Club recruited MAD BLANKEY's Punch Tominaga onto their side hoping to deliver even more humiliation to Dragon Gate's team.

2- Dragon Kid & Kzy vs Ryo Saito & Susumu Yokosuka vs Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson

A Dragon Gate staple, three teams face off in a high octane match. No strangers to Dragon Gate, the Young Bucks return to the promotion after a six year absence. Opposing them is the Dia Hearts pairing of Dragon Kid and Kzy and the 2015 Summer Adventure Tag League champions Ryo Saito & Susumu Yokosuka. A win here would do wonders for any team - a win for either of the Dragon Gate pairing would definitely put them in contention for a shot at the Open The Twin Gate champions whilst a win for the Young Bucks secures the bragging rights for the brash and cocky Americans.

3 - OPEN THE TRIANGLE GATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

K-Ness, Mondai Ryu & Yasushi Kanda © vs Jushin Thunder Liger, U-T & Alex Shelley

Building from their encounter at Together Gate, K-Ness leads his team of Mondai Ryu & Yasushi Kanda into a battle with his New Japan nemesis Jushin Thunder Liger and his team of U-T and Alex Shelley. No stranger to Dragon Gate gold, former Open The Dream Gate champion Liger is looking to add more Dragon Gate gold to his already long list of championship achievements whilst the MAD BLANKEY trio would love nothing more than to ruin Liger's fun.

4 - IWGP JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Akira Tozawa & Shingo Takagi © vs Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly

Coming away from Osaka Castle Hall with the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team gold, the Monster Express pairing of Akira Tozawa and Shingo Takagi haven't had an easy path to Open The New Japan Gate, a lackluster run in the Summer Adventure Tag League has seen tensions growing between the pair. Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly aim to play the spoilers here as they challenge for their second reign with the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team gold.

5 - OPEN THE BRAVE GATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Eita © vs KUSHIDA

What should have been an excellent encounter between Eita and KUSHIDA at Together Gate was ruined by the interference of MAD BLANKEY's Yasushi Kanda, Mondai Ryu and Punch Tominaga. With T-Hawk coming to their aide on that night, both Eita and KUSHIDA asked for the chance to face off against each other and show fans what they could do. With the match made before Eita's successful Brave Gate victory at the Summer Adventure Tag League finale, Dragon Gate management and Eita himself decided to put the championship on the line!

6 - BxB Hulk vs Tetsuya Naito

Running his mouth off since the Best of the Super Junior tour, it is no secret what Tetsuya Naito thinks of Dragon Gate and their stars. Facing off in an 8 man tag in the main event of Together Gate, the challenge was made by BxB Hulk for Hulk and Naito to face off in a singles match. With Hulk's shoulder still not at 100%, this match could be disastorous for the Dia Hearts member - not that Naito will care if Hulk leaves the World Memorial Hall in one piece or not.

7 - Naruki Doi & YAMATO vs Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi

Angered by Doi's comments post match at Together Gate, Tanahashi demanded a match with Doi to right the wrongs. Doi refused unless he had YAMATO on his side - Tanahashi being deemed not worthy of Doi's time solo - and so Tanahashi and Ibushi make the trip to Dragon Gate to face off against their new found rivals. What could be the difference maker is the presence of MAD BLANKEY at ringside, their presence a factor in so many of DoiYAMA's matches in Dragon Gate.

8 - TORYUMON CLASH - 7TH TERM vs 13TH TERM

Masato Yoshino (7th Term) vs Kazuchika Okada (13th Term)

Both men being aces of their respective Toryumon terms - Okada not spending much time in the Toryumon system before finding his way to New Japan whilst Yoshino has spent his entire life in the Toryumon syterm. Taking to boasting about how he is Ultimo Dragon's greatest protege and better than anyone in Dragon Gate, Okada cut a egotistical figure at Together Gate, claiming he left his partner Shinsuke Nakamura the "easy" task of facing Shachihoko BOY. Hearing enough, Yoshino put it to Okada to put his money where his mouth is and face him in the main event of Open The New Japan Gate - a challenge readily accepted by Okada!

0 - Big R Shimizu, El Lindaman vs Sho Tanaka, Yohei Komatsu

The New Japan young lions came out of the gate swinging with hot fire, throwing dropkicks and forearms at the Dragon Gate team. Both Big R and Lindaman powered through the initial attack and soon the match is in favour of them.

El Lindaman shone early on, using his background in judo to throw the young lion pairing around and almost won the match with the Locomotion German Suplex [two German suplexes followed up with a bridging Tiger Suplex pin] on Komatsu, Tanaka breaking up the pin at the very last second.

It would be Tanaka who lost the match for the young lions however, falling to a Shot Put Slam courtesy of Big R Shimizu. After the match the Dragon Gate pairing shook hands with the young lions and all four men bowed to the crowd before leaving the ring.

1 - CIMA, Gamma, Don Fujii, Kotoka, T-Hawk vs Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, Punch Tominaga

An odd sight on the Bullet Club team as they had perennial loser Punch Tominaga on their side - a point that CIMA took great delight in laughing at as the pre match introductions were made. T-Hawk and CIMA settled their differences in the pre match as well, shaking hands with each other.

The Bullet Club with Punch swarmed as the bell rang, using their size advantage to stop any attempts at offense from the Dragon Gate team. Anderson directed traffic, using Bad Luck Fale as a seemingly impenetrable brick wall and having Tama Tonga and Punch Tominaga to keep Gamma, T-Hawk and Kotoka at bay whilst Doc Gallows dealt with Don Fujii. Anderson squared off with CIMA, CIMA breaking out and kicking the match into a pace that favours the Dragon Gate team more than the Bullet Club.

Bullet Club's experience as a unit kept making turning the match against Dragon Gate, the more experienced unit exploiting moments of miscommunication between the fragile DG unit. Gamma and CIMA continually argued whilst the headstrong youngster Kotoka kept rushing into the ring to try and fight on for his team to the bemusement of T-Hawk.

The argument between CIMA and Gamma eventually boiled over as Gamma grabbed his cane and pointed it at the Bullet Club team, preparing to swing....only for him to turn around and nail CIMA in the head! The rest of the team stared in shock, reacting too late as Gamma struck each of them with his cane before spitting on CIMA and walking out.

From here it was easy pickings for the Bullet Club, singling out Kotoka and hitting him with a combination of all their finishers, ending with a PT Kick from Punch Tominaga which scored the first victory in quite some time for Tominaga!

2 - Dragon Kid, Kzy vs Ryo Saito, Susumu Yokosuka vs Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson

The Young Bucks are no strangers to the two other teams in this match - their first match in Dragon Gate was against Susumu & Saito and they've faced off against Kzy and Dragon Kid on separate occasions - but their attitude quickly won them no fans or friends in the match with both teams choosing to target their offence on the cocky Americans.

The Young Bucks tried to play the home teams against each other before catching Saito and Kzy with superkicks thanks to the distraction. Two more superkicks were delivered to Susumu and Dragon Kid, followed up by The Young Bucks' pose (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9f/The_Young_Bucks_pose.jpg)...

...which was broken up by all four men dropkicking The Young Bucks and throwing them out of the ring. Kzy and Susumu then squared off, Susumu bullying him around the ring. The Young Bucks ran in the ring and attacked both Susumu and Kzy. With the home teams now fully united on one common enemy, it wasn't long before The Young Bucks were eliminated - with Kzy downed by the rolling fireman's carry slam that starts off the More Bang For Your Buck and Nick Jackson on the top ready to land on Kzy with a 450 Splash...only for Dragon Kid to come in and save Kzy with a hurricanrana to Nick, Kzy quickly scaling to the top and flying off with the KZ TIME frogsplash for the pinfall, Susumu and Saito stopping Matt from breaking up the count.

With The Young Bucks gone, the Dragon Gate home teams both kicked it up a notch with all four men flying around the ring at a blistering pace and big moves all round. A Jumbo no Katchi! to Kzy almost won the match with Susumu and Saito but a Dragon Kid intervention saved his team mate.

Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for Dragon Kid as a frantic end to the match saw him fall to a Jumbo no Katchi!, Kzy unable to break the count as Saito had him on the outside.

3 - OPEN THE TRIANGLE GATE

K-Ness, Mondai Ryu, Yasushi Kanda vs Jushin Thunder Liger, Alex Shelley, U-T

The Kobe fans gave Jushin Liger a warm welcome as he revisited Dragon Gate for this Triangle Gate clash. The MAD BLANKEY trio didn't care however, attacking the challenger trio as soon as the ring announcements were finished in the typical MAD BLANKEY fashion. Discarding of U-T and Shelley, the attention of the championship trio was purely on Liger and the champions used quick and dirty teamwork to cut Liger off from his partners.

A MAD BLANKEY train turned the tide in the match for the challengers, Liger enduring the attacks of K-Ness, Monchan, Kanda, Punch only to move out of the way of a Kong elbow followed up by a Koppu Kick to Monchan that knocked him silly. With the tides now reversed, Liger led his team in teaming on Kanda and a brainbuster to Kanda almost saw the Triangle Gate titles change hands.

A timely intervention from K-Ness broke the fall and led the charge for his team once more. Squaring off with the only DG representative in the challengers, K-Ness bullied U-T around the ring with no mercy. With Punch Tominaga distracting Referee Yagi, the MAD BLANKEY dirty tactics came out in full force. A yellow box and a salt throw from Mondai Ryu blinded U-T leading to K-Ness striking U-T with his hammer. Adding insult to injury, K-Ness locked U-T in the Aoki Hikari crossface with U-T going limp. Referee Yagi raised U-T's arm three times to no reply, Yagi awarding the victory to the champions.

4 - IWGP JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Akira Tozawa, Shingo Takagi vs Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly

Despite being the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team champions, the Monster Express pair of Akira Tozawa and Shingo Takagi didn't look like a functioning team. Tozawa was all smiles whilst Shingo looked even more serious than usual.

This didn't affect the early goings of the match as Tozawa and Shingo showed the world class teamwork that secured them the tag team championships in the first place. A cheap shot from Fish on the apron cut off Tozawa, allowing reDRagon to go on the attack and angering Tozawa's partner Shingo.

Shingo's frustrations grew as reDRagon teamed up on Tozawa, each double team manuevre landing etching more and more anger on the face of Shingo. Eventually exploding into the ring, he dominated the pace with shoulder tackles and vicious punches. A Pumping Bomber to Kyle O'Reilly nearly secured a defence for Monster Express but a well timed kick to the head of Shingo by Bobby Fish broke up the count.

This only seemed to rile up Shingo more as he broke free and went on the attack, throwing caution to the wind and battering the challengers around the ring and the outside of the ring. Even Tozawa looked concerned by Shingo's actions, pulling him away to allow reDRagon some time to breathe.

This breakdown in communications would go on to cost Monster Express as it gave reDRagon more than enough time to get back into the ring. Attacking Tozawa as he got into the ring, reDRagon were like a well oiled machine. A Double Dragon [Wheelbarrow hold by Fish followed by a double underhook DDT by O'Reilly, who pushes opponent into a wheelbarrow suplex by Fish] nearly won the match for reDRagon but Tozawa kicked out at a count of 2.9.

Tozawa fought on but with a partner that didn't seem to have much interest in the match and reDRagon swarming, Tozawa soon fell to the Chasing The Dragon [Vertical suplex lift by O'Reilly followed by a roundhouse kick to the opponent's back by Fish followed by a brainbuster by O'Reilly], Shingo not even bothering to try and break up the following three count.

Bobby Fish[W], Kyle O'Reilly (17:42 Chasing The Dragon) Akira Tozawa[L], Shingo Takagi

As reDRagon celebrated with their newly won IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, Tozawa sat in the ring despondent. Shingo still was uncaring as Tozawa got up and asked why he didn't break up the count. Shingo looked at Tozawa with a look of disgust. How dare he question him?! Shingo picked up Tozawa and carried him through the Summer Adventure Tag League. Shingo carried Tozawa through Monster Express. He was done. Monster Express was filled with losers. Shachihoko BOY is a joke. Tozawa couldn't even beat those two losers. Even the great Yoshino wasn't a credibly Dream Gate champion. It's been two years since Shingo was the Open The Dream Gate champion and in those two years he has had to deal with Monster Express. It ends here for him. It's time Shingo went on his own path. Tozawa looked crestfallen as Shingo spoke and didn't even have anything to say in return, cutting a sad figure in the ring as Shingo stormed to the back.

5 - OPEN THE BRAVE GATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Eita vs KUSHIDA

The two competitors showed their great respect for each other, shaking hands and posing in a friendly manner in the centre of the ring as the pre match picture was taken. The opening stretches of the match saw neither man able to get the advantage with quick exchanges being exchanged between the pair.

Both men worked over each other's arm over the course of the match - both Eita and KUSHIDA using arm based submission moves to win matches. KUSHIDA got the upper hand eventually, catching Eita in a quick cradle for a 2 count and then staying on the attack, keeping Eita on the ground where he would be unable to hurt KUSHIDA's arm in any way.

A slip up from KUSHIDA gave Eita the advantage he needed however and he capitalised quickly, locking in the Numero Uno. Unfortunately for Eita, KUSHIDA was able to get a foot on the ropes forcing Eita to break the submission with frustration growing on the young man's face.

A lightning quick exchange followed once again with both men just trying desperately to get the upper hand. This time it would be KUSHIDA who came out on top - a headscissors attempt grounding Eita with Kushi following up with the Hoverboard Lock! Eita managed to contort his body into such a position where he could get a foot on the ropes even as Kushi had the hold locked in, forcing the break and setting the two men on an even footing once more.

Forcing each other to break out more from their bag of tricks, it would be Eita who walked away the victor after dropping KUSHIDA on his head with the Hidalgo (Back-to-Back Double Underhook Piledriver) for a barely there three count.

6 - BxB Hulk vs Tetsuya Naito

Naito took a disproportionately long amount of time to get to the ring, emulating fellow Suzuki-gun member Minoru Suzuki by kicking Takehiro Yanemura away as he held the ropes open for Naito. Hulk didn't give much away in his entrance, a look of solid determination on his face as he entered the ring. As Hulk entered the ring Naito exited, a move that frustrated Hulk. Eventually deciding to get into the ring, Naito looked as if he wanted to be anywhere else as the match introductions were made.

Naito made a break for the outside of the ring as the match got underway, taunting Hulk by mockingly clutching his shoulder with a faked look of pain on his face. Throwing caution to the wind, Hulk flew out of the ring with a big suicide dive....that saw Naito move out of the way at the last second and Hulk crash into an assortment of his Dia Hearts colleagues and the young dragons. Kicking at Hulk's shoulder, Naito's offence was targeted directly at Hulk's injury and an irish whip into the ringpost increased the pressure and pain on Hulk's shoulder.

Fighting through the pain, Hulk got back into the ring and beckoned for Naito to join him. Going straight on the attack as Naito lazily entered the ring, Hulk's educated feet saw him land kick after kick on Naito - even impressing Masaaki Mochizuki at ringside. A quick First Flash from Hulk saw the first pinfall of the match, a two count that did more to anger Hulk than it did anger Naito.

Letting his anger overwhelm him, Hulk was wide open to Naito grabbing his arm and wrenching on it, putting more pressure onto the injured shoulder with Naito transitioning the hold into the Polvo de Estrella (Modified Hammerlock Cradle) for a two count of his own. Staying in control, Naito picked up Hulk and put him right back down with a Gloria (Lifting hammerlock cradle hold dropped into a sitout side powerslam), Hulk landing directly on his shoulder.

Growing cocky, Naito headed up top for the Stardust Press (Corkscrew Moonsault)....only for Hulk to mirror Naito from earlier on in the match and move out of the way. Another First Flash from Hulk looked like the match ender, Naito saving himself by getting his foot on the ropes at the very last second.

Taking a moment to catch his breath, Hulk soon went back on the attack, throwing everything he had at Naito but nothing seemed to keep the arrogant Suzuki-gun member down. Once again taking advantage of Hulk's anger, Naito grabbed Hulk's leg out of a kick attempt and transitioned into another Gloria. Kicking at Hulk's shoulder a few times as Hulk lay prone, Naito went to the top and flew off with the Stardust Press, this time landing on Hulk with full force. A three count followed, Naito laughing at Hulk as his arm was raised in victory.

Post-match Naito rubbed the victory in Hulk's face. He knew he was going to win. It was academic. Sure, it took a little longer than he expected but here he stood, victorious over on of the so-called best in Dragon Gate. He beat him in Osaka and now he's beat him in Kobe. And now, he's leaving before he has to spend any more time in this wretched town with these idiot fans that don't even support Naito's home promotion. They came here for their little heroes and their little heroes are broken and beaten.

Hulk took to the microphone to apologise to the fans in attendance. He was so sure he'd be able to shut Naito's mouth but clearly he's not 100%. Maybe it's time to take a step back and let the other members in Dia Hearts step up. Maybe it's time for Hulk to take a break. Regardless of what happens, Hulk knows he disappointed the Kobe fans today and ended his short speech with a guarantee of two things. One - next time he is wrestling in Kobe, he'll be 100% fit and two - He'll walk out with his arm raised.

7 - Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi vs Naruki Doi, YAMATO

In the traditional MAD BLANKEY manner, YAMATO & Doi didn't even give the visiting team a moment to catch their breath - attack as soon as the ring introductions were finished. However unlike other DoiYAMA matches, both Tanahashi and Ibushi were ready and waiting for the ambush resulting in a hectic start to the contest with bodies flying everywhere!

Ibsuhi was quick to match up with YAMATO - memories of their clash in the 2009 Best of the Super Juniors still lingering - leaving Doi to try and wrestle Tanahashi. Tanahashi continually frustrated Doi, always being a step ahead of Doi in the ring and stopping Doi from getting any sort of momentum.

The tides turned as Mondai Ryu distracted referee Takayuki Yaga, MAD BLANKEY deploying the expert teamwork they're known for. Ambushing Tanahashi in the ring, a chain of attacks saw each member of MAD BLANKEY - even Punch Tominaga - land an attack on Tanahashi...until Cyber Kong went for a big splash and Tanahashi rolled out of the way. With MAD BLANKEY scrambling from the ring just as quick as they entered, Doi was still able to stay on the attack barely.

Whipping Tanahashi into the corner, the MAD BLANKEY momentum was saved by YAMATO's laser guided foot crashing into Tanahashi's jaw which led into the Dai Bosou! (Cannonball), Doi dragging Tanahashi out of the corner for the pinfall which was broken up by Ibushi before a one count even happened.

Taking the match straight to Doi, Ibushi was relentless. Not even allowing Doi breathing space on the outside - Doi having rolled out to avoid Ibushi's assault - Ibushi flew out of the ring with a massive suicide dive that wiped out all of MAD BLANKEY at ringside. Throwing more caution to the wind, Ibushi followed it up with another dive to the outside before Tanahashi decided to get in on the action with a suicide dive of his own!

The last stages of the match saw frantic finishers flying everywhere, a Bakatare Sliding Kick from Doi that put Ibushi down for a 2.9 count being the highlight of the stretch. It would be a slick finishing combination from the New Japan team that got the win however - Ibushi dropping YAMATO with an elevated sitout powerbomb that was followed up by a High Fly Flow from Tanahashi. Doi was a fraction of a second too late to break up the count and afterwards, he seemed to have crossed words with YAMATO concerning the end of the bout, Doi leaving the ring a step ahead of YAMATO.

Hiroshi Tanahashi[W], Kota Ibushi (29:25 High Fly Flow) YAMATO[L], Naruki Doi

The main event hype video played, two contrasting sit down interviews with Masato Yoshino and Kazuchika Okada. Both men were reflecting back over their respective Toryumon classes and careers. Yoshino was more humble in his approach, saying that he respects everyone he graudated with and it's an honour he's still not used to being at the top of the Dragon Gate mountain. Okada was much more egotistical in his tone. He said no one else in his term mattered, he's the one that is on top of the wrestling world. The two then talked about the match, again with completely different tones. Yoshino was looking forward to the match despite Okada's comments about Dragon Gate. It's a chance for Yoshino to test himself against one of the best in the world. Okada was dismissive once more, he was here for the payday. The win itself was already a given. One Rainmaker and it would all be over.

8 - Kazuchika Okada vs Masato Yoshino

The match started a much slower pace than the previous match, both men feeling each other and trying to get a grasp of what lay ahead. It would be Yoshino who picked up the pace, using his superior quickness to run rings around Okada and forcing him to swing wildly to even have a chance of hitting Yoshino.

One of Okada's wild strikes connected, dazing Yoshino and knocking him backwards. Forcing Yoshino to the ground, Okada used various rest holds to slow the pace of the match to a crawl, Gedo not helping matters at ringside by antagonising Monster Express and the fans alike.

Yoshino weathered the Okada storm though, turning an irish whip into the ropes by Okada into a From Jungle (Spinning headscissors takedown twisted into an octopus stretch), wrenching back and only letting go when Okada made it to the ropes to force the break. Not letting up, Yoshino was quick to follow it up with a dropkick that knocked Okada onto the apron. With Okada reeling on the apron, Yoshino ran seemingly the full length of Kobe's World Memorial Hall before hitting a dropkick that both knocked Okada off of the apron and infuriated him.

When the match found itself back in the ring, Yoshino had little time to think before Okada was in the air, hitting Yoshino with Okada's picture perfect dropkick - Okada stopping to pose over Yoshino after hitting said dropkick.A Red Ink (Kneeling cross-legged STF) attempt saw Yoshino inch his way over to the ropes before Okada broke the hold himself and followed up with a kick to the head of Yoshino, Okada's usual cocky demeanour staying on his face.

Grabbing Yoshino and dragging him up, Okada looked set to finish things with the Rainmaker...only for Yoshino to take a play out of Hiroshi Tanahashi's book and counter the Rainmaker with a Sling Blade! A look of shock was visible on Okada's face whilst Yoshino was just trying to recover his breath. Following the Sling Blade up with a Sol Naciente (Straight jacket triangle choke), Yoshino looked like he had the match won but Okada had enough fight left in him to force Yoshino to break by stomping away at the shoulder and head of Yoshino.

With both men showing the signs of the fierce battle, the moves became more desparate and frenzied. In the end it would be Yoshino would walked away the winner, dumping Okada with a Lightning Spiral (Swinging leg hook fireman's carry slam) and following it up with the EX version of the Sol Naciente - the Sol Naciente Kai (Straight jacket triangle choke while trapping the opponent's legs). With nowhere to go, Okada fought for as long as he could but he eventually tapped out in the middle of the ring.

Yoshino celebrated in the ring with his Monster Express colleagues whilst Okada looked on bitterly as Gedo was attending to him. Yoshino didn't get long to himself however as his former stablemate Shingo Takagi stormed out to the ring. Sizing Yoshino up, Shingo laughed. Maybe Yoshino wasn't as bad as Shingo thought he was. Okada is a strong challenger. Or maybe Shingo is right and Yoshino just got lucky. Okada clearly wasn't taking it seriously. If he'd fully hit a Rainmaker, it'd be over.

Yoshino asked Shingo what his purpose was in coming out here. He said it himself, he's on his own path now. Shingo cut to the chase. He wants the Open The Dream Gate championship. He's out here to challenge Yoshino. Next month is The Gate of Victory tour, how apt a tour given that it will mark Shingo's victory over Monster Express. Yoshino had better prepare himself because Shingo isn't here to play games anymore.

Monster Express & a less sour Okada ended the show. Okada thanked Yoshino for the match and said that Shingo was wrong. Okada gave it his all, he underestimated Yoshino. It won't happen again if they meet up in the future. Okada then did the Rainmaker pose, Monster Express dropping down in front of him with the TOO! EASY!~ pose.

If anyone would like to know what lay ahead for Dragon Gate, I'll post about it. :)

EDIT: For those wonder chronologically, this show takes place after Dominion in Mootinie's NJPW diary.

Feel free to post about it, I'm always interested in what things were building up to. So feeling like a diary for TEW2016 once I get the hang of it.:)
