They hype the main matches of the card, including Dread vs. Rip Chord for the TCW World Heavyweight Championship, Sam Strong vs. Professor Nero in a Career vs. Job No Holds Barred match, and Liberty vs. Dennis Butler in a Ladder match for the TCW Television Championship. The next match is going to be under way immediately and it will be tag team action, as Steve Flash and Teddy Flame will team up to take on Dusty Streets & Joey Flame.

Teddy and Dusty start but a tag to Flash leads to a creative double stomp for 2. They do another innovative double team leading to Flash hitting a head scissors before they hit stereo splashes to the outside. Dusty uses a cheap shot to turn the tides, as the heels begin to work over Steve Flash. They dominate him some, until he uses a sweet counter and finally gets the hot tag.

Teddy flies around the ring and nails an elbow drop. He gears up for Flame On but has to stop Joey from hitting him. He still catches Dusty with a swinging neckbreaker for 2. A cheap shot from Joey allows Dusty to hit an interesting modified bulldog for 2. Now Teddy can’t hit the tag so Steve Flash chooses to make the tag sound behind the referee’s back and enters.

He gets a near fall from a roll-up and then misses the Flash Bang before getting planted with a DDT. Teddy breaks up the pin and when Dusty tags in Joey, the referee doesn’t see it. Dusty nails Flash with a Dust-off but the referee is too distracted to count it. Dusty gets furious and jaws at the referee, giving him the finger and causing the disqualification.

They go at it and start unloading on each other. RDJ moves out of the way from a sunset flip and nails a big right hand. Bruce takes him down however and goes to the floor, before connecting with a vicious ballshot on the post as Tasha cheers. Back in the ring, Bruce keeps up the pressure and nails a tornado DDT for 2. Bruce keeps control and now he has RDJ in a figure-four.

RDJ slowly fights back and finally nails a facebuster. Bruce hits a crossbody off the top but RDJ rolls through for a 2 count. Another facebuster from RDJ gives him another 2. He calls for Southern Justice but Bruce hits a low blow to block, as Tasha distracts the referee.

They go at it and after a minute or so, Catherine lands out on the floor and looks to hurt the knee. She comes back in but Bryden gets the upper hand and goes to work on the knee. Catherine gets leg whipped from the apron to the floor and Bryden brings her back in with more offense. Bryden works on the knee as Catherine yells in pain.

Catherine blocks a shot to her leg and nails a forearm, but Bryden comes right back and kicks the bad leg for a 2 count. Fans chant for Catherine as Bryden keeps control of the match. Bryden uses the bottom rope to work on the leg and the referee warns her. Catherine looks to start a comeback but Bryden takes the leg out again and laughs. Bryden keeps control for another 2 and she starts to show frustration.

Bryden slams Catherine’s leg into the ring post now. She applies a ring post figure four before coming back in for a 2 count. She then applies a half crab as the referee checks on Catherine. Catherine crawls to the bottom rope and Helen and Lilith pulls her back. Bryden yells at them for getting involved.

April and Victoria run down to take on Helen and Lilith. Bryden is distracted and Catherine rolls her up for 2. Catherine gets up and starts fighting back. She nails a neckbreaker and a big boot for a 2 count. Bryden blocks a backslide with a kick to the bad leg and gets another 2 count. She suplexes Catherine into the bottom rope for another 2 count.

Bryden goes up top but Catherine catches her with a spear! Catherine starts fighting back and takes control. Helen and Lilith try to interfere, and a big brawl between them and April and Victoria breaks out at ringside once again. The referee is distracted and Helen slides in the title belt while running away at ringside. Bryden slows Catherine’s momentum down with another shot to her bad leg and nails her in the head with the title belt, before sliding it back to the floor and covering Catherine for the win…

We have a charged video package for the next match, as two uprising stars will collide for the TCW Television title. Several elements are shown in the video, including the rise of Butler with the Justice Mafia since his debut, the rise of Liberty since he joined the Untouchables as their leader, and the epic feud between these two stables over the past few months, that is now culminating in this leader vs. leader match for the TV title. Not to mention the fact that Dennis Butler has ‘stolen’ Liberty’s manager, Emma Chase. We also see their 2 out of 3 falls last month that Liberty won, and the angle with Emma Chase and the Untouchables few nights ago on Total Wrestling.

Ladder

Dennis Butler (w. Emma Chase)

Liberty

They jump on each other right after the bell and this match starts with a slugfest. Both men go for their finisher early but neither can hit it. Butler goes for the ladder first and it comes into play via Liberty. He makes the first try for the belt but Butler nails him from behind on the slow climb. Butler makes his own go for it but Liberty yanks him down and he lands hard on his ankle, injuring his knee. Liberty now starts working on the knee, as the crowd is getting super hot.

Liberty drops the ladder right on the knee and then sandwiches the knee in the ladder and jumps on it multiple times. Liberty puts the ladder on top of the steps and the barricade and drops Butler on it, right on his knee. He goes for the belt but Butler barely gets there in time. Back out on the floor, Liberty slingshots Butler into the ladder. Butler gets the crap beaten out of him as he tries the Butler Suplex on the ladder on the floor, but Liberty backdrops him on it.

The first ladder is in bad shape so Paul Steadyfast tosses a backup ladder into the ring. Liberty does another show climb as Butler fights off Steadyfast just in time to dump Liberty out of the ring. Butler then nails a baseball slide into the ladder, right into Liberty’s face. Butler now goes for the belt but gets dumped by Liberty, who’s bleeding now. Liberty sets up the ladder on the top turnbuckle and nails Butler with a vicious DDT.

Liberty climbs for the belt and Butler follows him up the other side and we get a slugfest at the top. Butler goes flying into the ladder on the turnbuckle, bounces off, and knocks Liberty off the ladder and onto the top rope!!! Liberty grabs the ladder, but Butler smacks him with a chair and beats the hell out of him with it. Liberty retaliates with an elbow drop from the top rope to a massive crowd reaction.

Butler backs up and goes for the belt again, but Liberty pulls him off and hits a Liberation Slam to another massive pop. He backs up the ladder again but Butler pulls him off and nails a Butler Suplex to yet another massive pop. Butler is slowly climbing the ladder as Liberty is recovering and about to knock him down. Emma Chase runs in and nails Liberty with a low blow, taking him out and allowing Butler to grab the Television title to a raucous ovation from the crowd.

This was a typical 6-man tag team match that was mostly a filler to calm the crowd after a great ladder match, and tune them up before the tag team title match and the Strong vs. Nero showdown. But as a 7-minute match with 6 competitors involved, this was action packed with no wasted motion whatsoever. Everyone got his time in and his share of offense, but in the end, it was the experience of the Untouchables as a unit, as well as the underhanded and cheating tactics they used, that allowed them to pick up the victory, as Paul Steadyfast pinned Freddie Datsun after a Slingshot Suplex.

Vengeance and Heisenberg start things off and Heisenberg starts using his fists for an early advantage. Alexei tags in and they hit a double shoulder block. Alexei then hits a swinging neckbreaker. Vengeance then goes after the arm and tags in Tyler, but Alexei quickly regains control. Heisenberg tags in and hits a shoulder to Tyler’s lower back for a 2 count. Heisenberg tries for a splash in the corner but misses, and Tyler then targets the shoulder as well.

Vengeance tags in and flies over the top to stomp on Heisenberg’s arm. Tyler quickly tags back in and continues to focus on Heisenberg’s arm. Vengeance tags back in and we get more of the same. Vengeance locks in a shoulder hold, but Heisenberg fights out. Vengeance hits an armbreaker for 2. Tyler tags in again and goes after the arm some more. Tyler applies the same shoulder hold as Vengeance. Tyler and Vengeance look like well-oiled machines here with quick tags and no wasted motion.

Tyler talks trash and allows Heisenberg to recover, and Heisenberg nails a huge spinebuster! Alexei and Vengeance both tag in! Alexei nails a big boot on Vengeance and a back body drop onto Tyler! He then throws Tyler to the floor and nails Vengeance with a powerbomb!!! He goes for the cover but Tyler makes the save with a leg drop! Heisenberg is in and he spills to the floor with Tyler, sending him shoulder first into the ring post. In the ring, Alexei charges Vengeance in the corner but eats an elbow.

Vengeance tries to go to the top rope, but Alexei fights him to the second buckle. Alexei climbs to the second rope and nails a huge superplex!!! Tyler runs in and attacks Alexei before a cover is made. Nicole Kiss is on the apron protesting, as Heisenberg runs in and tosses Tyler to the floor, but he takes out Nicole with him!!! Heisenberg goes to the floor to check on her and Alexei is looking on from the ring, concerned, as Vengeance rolls him up for the win.

The video package for the next match takes us back to the time when Sam Strong won the TCW World Heavyweight title, and through his rivalry with Professor Nero, with everything that the TCW Operating Director has done in his quest to get Strong off the title. It ends with the famous angle that made this match happen, with TCW’s owner J.K. Stallings Jr. putting too much at stake: Strong’s career as well as Nero’s job.

Career vs. Job Match

Sam Strong
vs.
Professor Nero

They share a staredown before Nero slaps Strong to start but he eats a spear. Strong hammers away with right hands and then nails a clothesline. He chokes Nero away and stomps on him in the corner, but Nero comes back with a vicious clothesline. He works Strong over in the corner and focuses on his left shoulder. Nero with a hammerlock before he wraps Strong’s arm off the post a few times.

They now go to the test of strength and Nero dumps Strong to prevent Strong from powering him. He follows out and hammers Strong’s back. He rams him shoulder first into the post and goes to nail him with a chair but misses. Strong sends Nero into the post and nails him in the head with a chair. Nero is now busted open and bloodied, as Strong hammers him with right hands.

They go back inside and Strong pounds Nero sending him again to the floor. Strong grabs another chair and slams it across Nero’s back. He takes another swing but Nero ducks and Strong connects with the bell ringer! Nero fires back with a low blow and then slams Strong in the face with a chair.

Nero grabs a ladder from underneath the ring and sets it up at ringside. He slams Strong onto the announce table and then into the barricade. He clears out the announce table while bashing Strong in the head with a TV monitor, before laying Strong out on the announce table. He climbs to the top of the ladder and nails a huge leg drop off the ladder and through the announce table, as Strong is now busted open as well. He then throws Strong inside and covers, but Strong gets the shoulder up at two and a half!!!

Nero goes outside and gets a lead pipe from under the ring. He peers over the apron at Strong with a sadistic, psychotic look before heading back inside. He goes for a shot with the pipe but Strong catches it and wins the test of strength. Strong has the pipe now and he’s threatening to bash Nero with it. As Nero is pleading and Strong is laughing, Nero nails him with a low blow!!! Nero now goes for the pipe but referee Sam Sparrow tries to stop him. That gets him thrown to the floor by an angry Nero, who then grabs the pipe and motions for someone to come down.

Pat Deacon runs down and he has a referee outfit. Nero bashes Strong with the pipe and then drops the elbow, but Strong still gets the shoulder up!!! Strong hulks up, nails Deacon with a couple of punches and sends him to the floor. Nero tries to attack with a double axe handle, but Strong evades it. He nails a punch, a big boot and finishes Nero off with a Strong Arm Tactic, as Sparrow makes it back into the ring to make the count. Sam Strong will not have to retire and he is now the new TCW Operating Director!!!

We get a standard start from Gordon and Cornell. Finally Cherry and Katie get in and a catfight erupts. Cherry nails Gordon for good measure. Gordon almost takes a Cherry Bomb but Katie makes the save and goes after Cherry. Cherry hits a TKO on Katie but Gordon makes the save. Cornell is a non-factor here. Katie misses a shot and hits Gordon.

Cornell is finally in and he nails a dive on Gordon. Katie tries to interfere but gets spanked (literally). Cornell nails a crossbody for 2. Gordon hits a backdrop and goes for a moonsault, but Cornell crotches him and tags in Cherry. Cherry hits a frog splash from the top rope!!! She knocks Katie off the apron as Cornell hits a downward spiral and then he slams Cherry on top of Gordon. Cherry pins Gordon for the win as Cornell retreats back into the crowd and god he is getting over!!!

Archangel takes advantage early and puts the boot to Chris. Whistler is tagged in, and promptly lands a vertical suplex, but Chris breaks away and tags Larry. Larry nails a shoulder block and a headlock, but Whistler counters with a back suplex. Larry lands some right hands but then walks right into a jumping clothesline from Whistler. Richie is tagged in and the crowd goes nuts.

Richie kicks Larry as the crowd chants along. Larry dumps him to the outside and Chris is tagged back in. We see some double teaming before Bryan comes in and lands some punches. Chris is back for more double teaming, as the heels keep the momentum going. Richie finally makes the tag and Archangel nails a big dropkick. He delivers big punches and a boot in the corner, but gets knocked off the top rope. He ends up being hung in the top rope, where Chris attacks his knee and tags in Bryan.

Bryan continues to work on Archangel’s knee by applying a toe-hold variation. A big body slam from Bryan sends Archangel to the mat, and Bryan drops the elbow for 2. Larry and Chris both get tags and the sustained beatdown on Archangel continues. Larry is in but Archangel rebounds with a clothesline! Archangel is cut off before he makes the tag, but he dumps Chris over the top rope.

Bryan knocks Archangel down, but Whistler blasts Bryan. Archangel makes the hot tag to Richie, who takes everyone out!!! Suicide dive, big dropkick in the corner, top rope Frankensteiner to Chris, but Richie only gets 2!!! Larry comes in and clotheslines Richie, but Whistler breaks it up. Whistler then tackles Bryan over the table as Richie puts a crossface on Larry. Chris breaks it up but Archangel hits him and then dives onto him to the floor.

The referee is distracted with the chaos going on as Richie is setting up for the Grand Slam. His father, Coach Dick Pangrazzio, gets on the apron and they start arguing. Larry sees a window and nails Richie with a low blow behind his back. Larry finishes Richie with a Sick Cycle and the All-Star Team picks up the win, much to the crowd’s dismay.

It is time for the main event and the video package for this one is packed with action and storytelling. It basically sums up the whole year since WrestlePocalypse, with numerous title defences by Rip Chord, until Dread made his debut and laid out both Chord and Strong, leading to Chord’s injury and title vacation. We see Dread’s dominance over the following months, and Rip’s comeback to help Strong retain in the triple threat match, and finally the Winner Takes All match last month at the War to Settle the Score.

Dread shoves Chord to the mat a few times and talks trash to him. He completely dominates the early goings, cutting Chord off each time he gets some flurries in. Chord goes for a head scissors off of the middle rope but Dread catches him with a powerbomb and throws him to the mat. Dread then adds on a series of belly-to-belly overhead suplexes. He whips Chord into the ropes and nails a sick running knee in the corner. Dread stands over Chord and berates him. Chord takes another belly-to-belly suplex but this time he rolls out to the floor to recover.

Chord tries to get back in the ring but Dread boots him right back to the floor. Chord manages to catch Dread and pulls him down throat first on the top rope. He then finds a big opening as he whips Dread’s leg into the ring post a few times. However, he goes to the well-to-many times and Dread pulls him shoulder first into the post. Back inside, Dread hits a cradle suplex lifted and dropped into a running horizontal muscle buster but he only gets 2. He applies a rear-naked choke but Chord fights up and hits a jawbreaker.

Chord hits another dropkick to the knee, but Dread catches him coming off of the ropes with a big clothesline. Dread hits a nasty German suplex, and then he has Chord wounded in the corner. Dread charges for another knee but Chord moves! Dread hits his bad knee on the turnbuckle and falls out to the floor! Chord follows with a plancha to the outside and hits another dropkick on Dread’s knee.

Chord charges Dread but takes a hot-shot to the top rope. Dread covers but only gets 2. He talks trash over Chord’s body, but Chord finds a kneebar out of nowhere and he turns it to a STF!!! Dread pulls the facelock loose, but Chord still has his knee, which he drives into the mat. He then stomps on Dread’s knee repeatedly, having found his target. He tries for a figure four but Dread kicks him off. Dread manages to get up and hits a belly-to-belly and now both men are down.

They are both up at 7 and Chord counters out of a suplex and gets a tilt-a-whirl head scissors before going back to the knee with a figure four!!! Dread pulls his way to the bottom rope. Chord goes right back to the knee with a half-crab, and then goes back to the STF. Dread fights free, nails a German suplex and follows with a huge spinebuster but only gets 2!!! Dread covers again to no avail. He applies a crossface chicken wing but Chord fights up and drives Dread’s face into the turnbuckle.

Chord goes for a top missile dropkick but misses, and Dread pulls him up and hits a dead-lift gutwrench suplex! He covers again but Chord still gets the shoulder up!!! The crowd is now chanting ‘This is awesome’ as these 2 are giving it all they have in this great match. Dread applies a waist lock but Chord fights up. He fires away with dropkicks and a tilt-a-whirl head scissors! Dread ducks a shot and looks for another suplex, but Chord counters and turns it into a Rip Chord DDT!!!

The crowd explodes as Chord goes for the cover, but Dread kicks out at 2 and a half!!! Chord goes up top for a 450 splash but Dread moves!!! Azaria says this may have been Chord’s last chance. Indeed, Dread pulls him up and nails a Dread Bomb and this one is over.

What if TEW16 didn’t come out…

As you might know already, I have decided to finish this diary, now that WrestlePocalypse II has been posted. I will be downloading TEW 2016 and will start experiencing with the game, so I have decided to take a short break from diary writing. In this final post, I will try to summarize what would have happened in TCW if my diary continued.

Rip Chord

was going to get a rematch for the TCW World Heavyweight title against

Dread

in April. During that match, he would be ‘screwed’ by the new TCW Operating Director,

Sam Strong

, thus completing

Strong’s

heel turn and starting the buildup for the eventual

Strong vs. Chord II

, with

Chord

as the face and

Strong

as the heel.

Liberty

was getting massive crowd support as of late. He had just dropped the Television title to

Dennis Butler

, and he was going to leave the Untouchables, turn face and never look back. I was going to have him spend the next couple of months feuding with the Untouchables, before eventually getting a title match against

Dread

and becoming the next TCW World Heavyweight Champion and the new face of the company.

Until

Liberty

is ready for that,

Dread

was going to be kept busy by defending his title against

Chord

, and then against

Teddy Flame

on at least two occasions.

Teddy

was going to beat his brother

Joey Flame

one more time, in a “blowout” match at the April PPV, thus earning the right to face

Dread

for the title.

The stables wars were set to continue, led by a blazing rivalry between

, and refreshed by the return from injury of

, who was supposed to join

as their fourth member.

will be back for revenge and he will feud with

for taking the TV title and the

over the tag team titles, while

will be tasked of continuing to put

, and a huge push, eventually becoming the number one contender.

On the longer term, my target was to have WrestlePocalypse III headlined by

Liberty vs. Dennis Butler

for the TCW World Heavyweight Championship. I know that it would be a rematch from WrestlePocalypse II, but I don’t mind that because the stakes would be much higher the following year. Besides, these two are the best I have in the main event scene that are below 35 years of age. I wanted WrestlePocalypse III to be the beginning of a new era in TCW, where the group of franchise players in the promotion will see an overhaul, with

(Liberty, Dennis Butler, Tyson Baine, and Bryan Vessey)

will replace the current group of

(Sam Strong, Rip Chord, Dread, and Larry Vessey)

.

This is it as far as my first TEW diary is concerned. I hope you guys have enjoyed the ride, and if you did, make sure to tune in sometime around late May/early June for my TEW 2016 diary. I already have a concept in mind. While it will not be similar to this one (feud and PPVs focused), it will also be an innovative idea and will represent a new type of diary writing that isn’t similar to the classic diaries available on this forum.
