Taped Tuesday, Week 2

http://i.imgur.com/oGTGxkm.jpg

-The Bella Twins defeated Naomi and Tamina when Alicia Fox interfered.

-Jo Jo interviewed Damien Sandow, who said that his days of making people laugh were over and that it was time for him to be himself.

-Kalisto defeated Fernando with the Salida del Sol. During the match, Diego tried to interfere, but Titus O'Neil ran in to even the odds.

-JBL hosted a sit down interview with Peyton Royce, who talked about how it was a dream come true for her to make it to WWE, and also talked about the recent events involving Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Natalya and Paige.

-Team B.A.D. were seen in their locker room, angry about how Alicia Fox screwed them out of a victory against the Bellas. Team B.A.D. promised that there would be payback at TLC.

-Dean Ambrose and the Usos defeated Bo Dallas and the Ascension when Ambrose hit Dallas with the Dirty Deeds.

-It was time for a new segment: the Rose Report hosted by Adam Rose. He talked about the recent feud that broke out between Dolph Ziggler and King Barrett, and also made some bold claims that Titus O'Neil and Kalisto had turned on their respective tag team partners, thus why we hadn't seen Darren Young and Sin Cara in recent weeks.

-Michael Cole hosted a TLC Report to close out the show, hyping up several big matches, with some promos from some of the workers involved.

The Authority kicked off the show, confirming what we already read on WWE.com, that this Sunday's match at TLC would be Roman Reigns' last opportunity at the WWE World Heavyweight Title as long as Sheamus was champion. They cited that Reigns has had numerous opportunities and kept dropping the ball. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley asked Triple H about the Royal Rumble, and Triple H said that as of right now, Roman Reigns was being denied entry. That brought Sheamus out to suck up to the Authority and tell them what a great decision they made. After some back and forth pleasantries, Roman Reigns' music hit, and he appeared out in the crowd, but opted not to make his way down as he had a mic in hand. He said that he felt that while he understood where the Authority was coming from, there was something short sighted about him being denied entry into the Rumble should he not win this Sunday. What if Sheamus isn't the champion come WrestleMania? Triple H said that was a good point, and he considered that. That's why he's decided he's going to leave Roman's fate in the hands of the WWE Universe. Starting this weekend and until the first Raw of the New Year, or until TLC if he should win the WWE World Title, the fans can use the WWE App or go to WWE.com to vote on whether Roman should be allowed entry into the Royal Rumble. Triple H then trolled the IWC by saying that he was confident in this decision because considering the boos he's heard, they'll all vote no. Reigns smirked and said that at the end of the day, the votes won't matter because this Sunday, he'll climb that ladder and grab the WWE World Title. Before anyone could leave, Stephanie informed everyone that tonight's main event would see Roman Reigns team up with Dolph Ziggler to take on Sheamus and King Barrett.

Paige sat in on commentary while Natalya took on Alicia Fox in singles competition while the Bella Twins were barred from ringside. During the match, Sasha Banks showed up on the TitanTron and told Alicia how she was the weak link of Team Bella and that she would make her tap this Sunday. Alicia shouted angrily at Sasha, which was distraction enough for Natalya to clip her in the back of her leftt leg. After working Alicia's left leg some more, Natalya locked her in the Sharpshooter for the victory.

We saw a brief video hyping up Brock Lesnar's return at the Royal Rumble.

It was time for another edition of the Rose Report, where Adam Rose discussed the upcoming Chairs Match between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens, then once again made some disparaging remarks about Titus O'Neil and Kalisto, and said that if nobody believed him, to just look at the tape of this past week's Main Event where Kalisto injured Fernando!

The New Day came out to cut a promo about how they were going to climb the ladder and retrieve their WWE Tag Team Titles, then went on to address their opponents tonight: Kane and the Dudleys. Xavier said that he remembered a traumatic visit to the dentist, and that Kane looked a lot like that dentist. All three members then reminded fans that there was still time to... SAVE... THE TABLES! SAVE... THE TABLES!

Kane and the Dudley Boyz vs. The New Day ended in a no contest when the Wyatt Family came out to attack Kane and the Dudleys, followed by the Usos coming out to attack the New Day.

Backstage we saw Rusev walking with Lana, when Ryback walked up to Rusev, turned him around and began brawling. Lana ran for cover as security rushed in to try to break up the two big men. After they got separated, they both shouted trash talk to each other about how they would defeat each other in the Tug of War contest on the TLC Kickoff Show.

The Smackdown announce team of Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and Booker T talked about the Rock's return this past Monday, and we saw some highlights.

Kevin Owens took on Neville in a non-title bout, and Neville gave Kevin Owens all he could handle and then some. Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae attempted to distract Neville, but he waved them off before running the ropes and attempted a huracanrana on Kevin Owens. But that was a mistake as Owens quickly countered that into a Pop Up Powerbomb for the win.

Curtis Axel caught up with Damien Sandow in his locker room, pleading with him to reconsider what he was doing. Axel brought up what a great friend Sandow had been to him ever since they started to team up a few months back, telling Sandow that he (Axel) was in a bad place until Sandow came along to help him get his career back on track. Sandow acted as if maybe he was making the wrong decision, only to cheapshot Axel and beat him down.

We went to a Stardust promo, where he talked about his upcoming match against Goldust at TLC. Stardust stated he had no idea who this "Cody person" was that Goldust kept talking about, but whoever he was, he must be some loser.

It was time for MizTV, and the Miz brought out Jack Swagger as his guest. Miz plugged this Sunday's MizTV with Chris Jericho as the guest, then went to address Jack Swagger. Swagger stated that he never intended to injure Zeb Colter and that he was consumed with anger at being betrayed by someone who he had looked up to as a mentor. Swagger talked about how he thought it was baloney that he couldn't use the Patriot Lock against Alberto Del Rio this Sunday, but he won matches without the Patriot Lock before, and he would again this Sunday. Miz taunted Swagger about how he had no chance this Sunday, stating that anytime he won a title, he did it by sheer luck, as evidenced by how short his title reigns were. Swagger got in Miz's face when all of a sudden, one of the camera men got into the ring and blasted Swagger in the back of the head with his camera. He took his hat and fake beard off, and it turned out that it was none other than Alberto Del Rio.

Renee Young hosted the TLC Report, where she hyped up the card that would be shown live on Pay Per View and on the WWE Network. We also saw a brief video clip of Chris Jericho highlights, hyping his return this Sunday.

It was time for our tag team main event as Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler did battle with Sheamus and King Barrett. The match went back and forth for about fifteen minutes or so, and at one point, Sheamus started taunting Dolph Ziggler. Sheamus turned his back to the crowd to shout "Am I not entertaining?!" That led to Ziggler rolling Sheamus up for a three count as the crowd went wild!

After the match, Sheamus blasted Ziggler with a clothesline, which brought in Roman Reigns. King Barrett ran in, and Ziggler would fight his way back up to even the odds. Kevin Owens ran in to join the brawl, and Dean Ambrose was more than happy to join in. Tyler Breeze joined in the brawl as well, as did Neville, causing Smackdown to end in a huge pier six brawl.

-For those wondering, Leva Bates played the part of the other dancing girl that joined Summer Rae for Tyler Breeze's music video this past Monday night on Raw.

-The injury that Adam Rose mentioned on Smackdown is legitimate, as Fernando suffered a Jones Fracture at the Main Event tapings in a match against Kalisto. Fernando reportedly underwent surgery, and his recovery time should be a little under two months now. Needless to say, the originally planned TLC Kickoff Show tag match pitting Titus O'Neil and Kalisto against Los Matadores has been pulled.

-Speaking of Kalisto, Sin Cara was sent down to NXT to work as a trainer.

-It appears that WWE is bringing back the old school style PPV reports that they used to do on TV to hype up their big events. It's been said that Triple H feels that they will add more importance to the big shows, especially events such as the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.

-Speaking of big events, the King of the Ring may return as it's own event. No confirmation on that, though.

OOC: For those who have voted on the Titus O'Neil and Kalisto vs. Los Matadores match, the match will be changed to Kalisto vs. Diego. Any votes for Los Matadores will count for Diego, and any for Titus and Kalisto will count for Kalisto. Also, anyone who wants to change their vote for that match can do so up until it's time for me to post the event. I will not hold that against anyone.

Just a note reiterating that due to the injury to Fernando, any votes that were originally cast for Kalisto & Titus O'Neil vs. Los Matadores can be changed. If you do, please do me a favor and make the change in your post so that I know you changed it. If you are happy with your vote, you can leave it as is and any votes for Kalisto/Titus will go to Kalisto, and any for Los Matadores will go to Diego.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match

Sheamus (Champion) vs. Roman Reigns (Challenger)

I doubt you'd go to all of this trouble for Roman to just kinda win the title from Sheamus just like that. Roman's big moment will happen somewhere in a bigger capacity than TLC against Sheamus.

WWE Intercontinental Championship

Chairs Match

Kevin Owens (Champion) vs. Dean Ambrose

Owen's pop in this game is brutal, this should be a good way for him and Dean to have a good match and give Owens popularity and momentum.WWE Tag Team Championship

Ladder Match

The New Day (Champions) vs. The Usos (Challengers)

Do I really have to give a reason for The New Day to retain?

WWE United States Championship

If Jack Swagger uses the Patriot Lock, he is disqualified & fired!

Alberto Del Rio (Champion) vs. Jack Swagger (Challenger)

Look at previous statement: at this point, Swagger has no business holding any title - even a midcard belt such as the US title.

WWE Divas Championship

Charlotte (Champion) vs. Becky Lynch (Challenger)

I see this as a flash pinfall upset that leads to the boiling point of Charlotte's heel turn, causing the feud to evolve and thus highlight the Diva's division.

Six Man Elimination Tables Match

The Wyatt Family vs. Kane and the Dudley Boyz

Would be very pointless for The Wyatts to lose here.

Tag Team Grudge Match

Dolph Ziggler and Neville vs. King Barrett and Tyler Breeze w/Summer Rae

Filler face win match here as I see a very heel-oriented show.

Six Diva Tag Team Match

Team B.A.D. vs. Team Bella

Sasha belongs in the new triad of the newest Diva's and this is a great opportunity for her to shine.

Brother vs. Brother

Goldust vs. Stardust

Goldust is on the backstretch of his career and even with Cody's character development over the past few shows, I doubt this will be the moment that Cody resurfaces although he may show the beginning of the end for Stardust in this match even though I think he wins it.

Arm Wrestling Contest

The Big Show vs. Mark Henry

If he can knock someone out with that hand, think what he can do in an arm wrestling contest?

MizTV

The Miz welcomes the returning Chris Jericho

TLC Kick Off Show

Tug of War Contest

Ryback vs. Rusev

Rusev deserves better than this!

Just Added

Kalisto vs. Diego

I see a Kalisto push coming on...

Kick Off Show Panel will include Renee Young, Corey Graves, Paige, Booker T and Natalya

Bonus questions:

What was the best match of the show? Sheamus vs Reigns. Popularity is a huge boost for these types of matches.

How many championships changed hands? 1.

Will the TLC Panel devolve into chaos with both Paige & Natalya on board? Eh, not quite sure so I'll straddle the fence on this one.:p

Will Charlotte turn on Becky Lynch? Yes, but a post match turn.

Will Brock Lesnar show up? No, I don't think he'll be on the show.

Which match will open up the show on the main card (not counting Kick Off Show)? Tag titles always seem to open shows, so I'll say The New Day vs The Usos.

Anyways, this card looks amazingly good for such a thin roster. I wish you the best of luck moving forward in a mod where you have no popularity in your top stars and very little talent in your midcard.:D

Too many factors involved, so I went with Breeze because even though Barrett can't win a match, neither Ziggler and Neville can win matches, so Breeze is the whole lynchpin of this match.

Thanks for all the predictions thus far everybody! I've already run the show, but I'm going to wait a bit longer to post the show, so anyone who hasn't posted their predictions yet, keep them coming. I'm pretty amped for this game save and hope you all will enjoy the ride I take everyone on as we head toward WrestleMania.

EDIT: Leave it to Beejus to let us in on what Kevin Dunn would probably be telling Vince if the Dolph/Neville vs. Barrett/Breeze tag match was booked in real life. :p

December 2015

Sunday, Week 2

TLC Kick Off Show

Kick Off Panel:

Renee Young, Natalya, Booker T, Corey Graves and Paige

-The Kick Off panel kicked off the pre-show discussing the card in general for tonight, and mentioned that there was a huge announcement concerning the Divas Division that would be made following the Kalisto vs. Diego match. Paige asked “Is the big announcement going to be that Nattie is finally going to admit she can't lace her dad's boots, much less uncle Bret's?” Natalya was obviously torqued off at Paige's comments, but she kept a level head and told Paige that she was going to be a professional and let her run her mouth if she chose to. With that, we went to our first match of the evening.

-Kalisto defeated Diego by pinfall after hitting the Salida del Sol.

Grade: 60

-Renee, Nattie and Booker all praised the effort of Kalisto, while Corey Graves and Paige said that he was lucky and that it would've been a different story if Fernando hadn't been injured. After quickly recapping the previous match, Renee said it was time for the announcement concerning the Divas Division. She said that the hard work the ladies of WWE have put in to put women's wrestling back on the map looks to be paying off as not only are there more than one Diva's match tonight on TLC, but now the Authority has put together an 8-team tournament to crown the first ever Divas Tag Team Champions. Paige spilled the beans that Alicia Fox may or may not have approached her about teaming up to go after the newly created Divas Tag Team Titles, and the panel noted that could spell trouble within Team Bella. Renee laid out the format, noting that the tournament would kick off on the final Raw of 2015, and would culminate at the 2016 Royal Rumble in Orlando. Natalya said she has been looking to get into the tournament herself, but that's all she was going to say. The panel then segued into the next match, a match made just today as Curtis Axel wanted revenge for the recent physical assault courtesy of Damien Sandow.

-Damien Sandow defeated Curtis Axel by pinfall after hitting the Terminus.

Grade: 70

-After the match, the panel threw it to a video package of the Rock, recapping his career from his debut as Rocky Maivia to his success in Hollywood, to his previous return, and now culminating in his current return, which seemed to indicate the Great One would be a bit more active this time around.

-Lana and Rusev came out to cut a promo before the tug of war contest with Ryback, but the crowd didn't seem to be that into it, and pelted them with “What?!” chants at various moments. Maybe it's the wooden acting from Lana; maybe it's the momentum hit the couple took from breaking kayfabe on TMZ; maybe they need to change gimmicks. Whatever the case may be, the crowd didn't seem to get into it until...

-Ryback came out for the tug of war contest. Rusev played up his menace, as did Ryback, which seemed to lift the segment. Both Ryback and Rusev went back and forth, struggling to pull the other over the line. Just as it seemed Ryback was going to pull Rusev over, Rusev decked him with a clothesline. Things quickly devolved into a wild brawl as several low card workers ran out there to try and separate them when security couldn't, but they got beaten up for their efforts. Well, that escalated quickly!

Grades: Lana/Rusev promo- 50; Rusev/Ryback tug of war- 76

-The Kick Off Panel closed out the pre-show by once again running down the card and giving their picks for some of the big matches. They reiterated that tonight was Roman Reigns' last shot at the WWE World Title as long as Sheamus was champion, and that the WWE Universe had until the end of the year to vote on either WWE.com or the WWE App on whether or not Roman Reigns should be allowed entry into the Royal Rumble should he lose tonight. They also plugged MizTV tonight with the return of Chris Jericho. With that, it was time for TLC to kick off.

Six Man Tables Elimination Match

The Wyatt Family vs. Kane and the Dudley Boyz

Things seemed to be going the way of Kane and Dudley Boyz early on as they dominated early, but the Wyatt Family fought back. However, Kane and the Dudleys drew first blood as the Dudleys slammed Erick Rowan through a table with a 3D. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper fought back, bringing another table into the ring, but that plan backfired as Kane managed to chokeslam Harper through said table. The odds definitely looked grim, but Bray Wyatt showed no fear. In fact, he was laughing at Kane and the Dudleys. Turns out he was laughing for good reason as Erick Rowan, who had been down on the floor at ringside the whole time after being eliminated, rolled back in and bowled over the Dudleys with a clothesline. Meanwhile, Luke Harper stirred back up and attacked Kane, giving Bray Wyatt time to get some tables. Michael Cole screamed how this was not right, while JBL noted that there were no disqualifications with this being a tables match. The Wyatt Family put Bubba Ray Dudley on top of one of the tables, then placed D-Von on top of him while Bray went to climb the top turnbuckle. He came down hard with a flying splash, smashing the Dudleys through the table, eliminating both of them at the same time. Bray then shouted at Harper and Rowan to go “fan the flames of fury!” With that, they went outside and looked under the ring, locating a can of kerosene and a book of matches, teasing that they were going to set the other table on fire! However, Kane was back up and knocked Bray Wyatt down with a clothesline, then nailed Luke Harper out with a big boot, and chokeslammed Erick Rowan for his efforts. The ref frantically got the kerosene and matches out of the ring while Kane grabbed the table and set it up slanted against the corner. He went to go get Bray Wyatt, but Wyatt countered with a forearm shiver, followed by a thrust to the throat, stunning the Big Red Machine. Bray then grabbed Kane and tossed him through the corner table for the victory.

Winning Team: The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt last man standing in the match)

Backstage

The Authority were talking backstage, with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley asking her husband if it was a good idea to leave Roman Reigns' fate in the hands of the WWE Universe. Triple H reiterated “Are you kidding, did you not hear the boos he got last year when he won the Royal Rumble?” Stephanie nodded her head and said “Good point.” Triple H said that besides, even if they did vote him in, that didn't mean he would necessarily get in. Stephanie grinned at the sound of that.

King Barrett and Tyler Breeze w/Summer Rae vs. Dolph Ziggler and Neville

There was certainly no love lost here, as it seemed everyone have had issues with each other recently. Dolph and Neville took the fight to Barrett and Tyler, and eventually the match descended into chaos as all four men got into the ring. Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze reignited their feud and fought with each other, falling out of the ring. Meanwhile, Summer Rae got on the ring apron to distract Neville, who smirked and stuck his tongue down her throat. Summer was disgusted and hopped down off the apron, looking as if she was going to barf right then and there while shouting “OH MY GAWD!” like only she could. Neville turned around and right into a vicious Bull Hammer from King Barrett that gave the heels the victory.

Winners: King Barrett and Tyler Breeze

Jo Jo interviewed Jack Swagger, who reiterated that he felt it wasn't right that he wasn't allowed to use the Patriot Lock tonight, but that wouldn't stop him from finding a way to defeat his old arch nemesis, Alberto Del Rio and become the new United States Champion.

Grade: 58

WWE United States Championship

Alberto Del Rio (Champion) vs. Jack Swagger (Challenger)

It looked as if the styles of these two clashed as the crowd didn't seem to get into it, sensing that these two had pretty bad chemistry going up against each other. Alberto would pick up the victory, using the ropes for leverage.

Winner and still WWE United States Champion: Alberto Del Rio

Backstage

Michael Cole stated that the WWE cameras managed to pick up this exclusive footage from moments earlier during the opening match tonight when Alicia Fox went to approach the Bellas in their locker room. The Bellas questioned Alicia Fox about what Paige said on the Kick Off Show, and Alicia happily said it was true, that she and Paige were going to team up in the Divas Tag Team Title Tournament to ensure that the Divas Tag Titles came home to Team Bella. The Bella Twins reminded Alicia of the wars they had been in with Paige and chewed her out about being selfish. Alicia told them she would show them how unselfish she was by going out there and helping them defeat Team B.A.D.

Grade: 58

Team Bella vs. Team B.A.D.

The match started off with all six divas duking it out to start the match, but the referee was eventually able to get order restored. That's when Team B.A.D. took control of the match, isolating Alicia Fox. The Bellas didn't seem to care as they just shrugged their shoulders while Team B.A.D. did a number on Alicia. Alicia was able to fight back and knock Naomi down with a spinning back kick, then crawled over to make a tag. However, the Bella Twins both hopped down off the apron and went to the back, turning their collective backs on Alicia Fox. Naomi tagged in Sasha Banks, who picked Alicia Fox up and brought her down with a Backstabber, transitioned into the Banks Statement and got the tap out victory for her team.

Arm Wrestling Contest

The Big Show vs. Mark Henry

Before the contest got underway, we saw highlights of Mark Henry confronting the Big Show on MizTV. This was more or less to give the ring crew time to get everything set up for the arm wrestling contest. After everything was set up, both men were brought out and took their spots at the table. The referee went over the rules, clasped their hands together, then shouted for them to go. It was a struggle for both menacing big men as it seemed neither man could gain an advantage. Using all of his might, the Big Show started gaining the upper hand. But it was Mark Henry that won the contest, but before he could celebrate, the Big Show rammed the table into Henry's midsection, then slammed his face into the table. Henry stumbled around, and Big Show knocked him out with his right hand. Big Show then went to the outside and grabbed a chair, then violently smashed it over Henry's back over and over until the chair broke. The fans booed their lungs out as Big Show stood tall over the World's Strongest Man. Cole and JBL talked about what they just saw, with Cole being disgusted, while JBL said that it was great to see that the old Big Show had come back. We went to a brief WWE Network commercial before it was time for the next match.

Grade: 82

Goldust vs. Stardust

Stardust didn't give Goldust time to take off his hooded robe, attacking him before the bell. Goldust fought back, and the ref called for the bell to officially start the match. Despite fighting back, Stardust took control of the match back and began to maim Goldust like he was a man possessed! Stardust choked Goldust on the ropes, breaking right before the count of five, then threw Goldust to the outside, throwing him headfirst into the turnbuckle post. Goldust seemed a bit woozy, but continued to fight on as the match got back into the ring. However, Stardust would not let up, peppering Goldust with several right hands and bringing him down with a DDT. Goldust managed to get his shoulder up at two and would fight back, taking Stardust down with an inverted atomic drop. However, when Goldust got up, he went back down to his knees, holding his head. The ref checked up on Goldust and had no choice but to call the match and give it to Stardust.

Winner due to injury: Stardust

WWE Tag Team Championship

Ladder Match

The New Day (Champions) vs. The Usos (Challengers)

Before the match, the obligatory "Don't try this at home" video message was played, followed by the New Day, complete with their brand new unicorn horns, coming out to goad the crowd into jeering them before their match. They compared the Us-OWS! to the Boston "Red Sucks," (see what we did there?), noting how at one time, the Us-OWS!, much like the "Red Sucks," were a great championship team. However, much like how injuries and bad decisions have decimated the "Red Sucks," injuries have riddled the Us-OWS! Xavier Woods then played "Everybody Hurts" by R.E.M. on his trombone, like only he could.

The Usos came out to shut the New Day up, prepared to try and regain the WWE Tag Team Titles in what would turn out to be a one heck of a demolition derby that was the tag team ladder match. We saw such moments as Kofi attempting and failing to use a broken ladder as a pogo stick to try and retrieve the titles; Big E powerbombing Jimmy Uso through a ladder wedged on the barrier and ring apron, bending the ladder in two; and Jey Uso running up a ladder that was rested on the top rope and diving to the outside, taking everyone out. After tearing each other up, it looked as if Jey Uso would grab the straps as he struggled up the ladder, but Xavier Woods ran into the ring and blasted him in the back with his trombone! That allowed Big E to crawl back up and make it up the ladder, retrieving the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: The New Day

Charlotte approached Becky Lynch to wish her luck in their upcoming match, and Becky seemed a bit happier than usual.

http://i.imgur.com/Fu9XZLj.jpg

That's because Peyton Royce introduced her to one of the newest divas in WWE, Jessie Kay, who would be Peyton's partner in the Divas Tag Team Title Tournament. Everything was going swimmingly as everyone enjoyed pleasantries until...

http://i.imgur.com/DF0eM32.jpg

A new diva interrupted the proceedings, smirking at first before going on a diatribe, saying she had enough of these girls acting like they were on Barney and going "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family." Charlotte asked her what the hell had gotten into her, and the new girl introduced herself as Shane Skye. She heard about the so called "Divas Revolution" and called it a farce, calling Charlotte and Becky out for selling out and becoming the very things they preached against while in NXT. Shane then said she was entering the tournament, and when asked where her partner was, Shane said we would find out soon enough.

Grade: 43

WWE Divas Championship

Charlotte (Champion) vs. Becky Lynch (Challenger)

Despite the way Charlotte had been acting lately, she had a well fought match against Becky Lynch, with neither side looking to bend the rules. Instead, they exchanged holds and counter holds, and moves and counter moves. Frustration was starting to set in for Charlotte as she only got a two count on a fisherman suplex, and she proceeded to argue with the ref. The ref held fast that it was only two, causing Charlotte to shove the ref aside as she went to pick up Becky up. The ref yelled at Charlotte and warned her for shoving him to the side like she did. Charlotte got in the ref's face and shouted at him to get over himself and ref the match before shoving him to the side again. As she went to pick Becky up, the bell rung, and Charlotte acted surprised, wondering what was going on. Lilian Garcia then announced that due to Charlotte putting her hands on the official, she had been disqualified. However, since the title can only change hands on a pinfall or submission, Charlotte remained the Divas Champion. Becky looked as if she was trying to figure out what was going on while Charlotte pleaded with her that it was all a misunderstanding blown out of proportion by the ref.

Winner by DQ: Becky Lynch

Charlotte retains the WWE Divas Championship

MizTV

Rather than taking time to get the ring ready for MizTV, the Miz apparently had a MizTV set put together off to the side of the entrance area (much like how talk segments used to be set up). The Miz said that tonight would go down as one of those great moments that those in Boston tonight could say, "I was there." He said tonight ranked right up there with Ric Flair winning the 1992 Royal Rumble; the formation of the nWo; the formation of the Four Horsemen; the very first WrestleMania in Madison Square Garden; Sting winning his first World Championship; Macho Man vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat at WrestleMania III. Without further adieu, the Miz said that the time for waiting was over, and with that he brought out his guest, the returning Chris Jericho.

Jericho said it was a nice change of pace to be the one being interviewed instead of being the interviewer like he is on his podcast, Talk is Jericho. The Miz talked up Jericho, buttering him up it seemed. Miz asked Jericho if he remembered the days of Jeri-Show, and Jericho said he remembered those days fondly. Miz said he remembered them too. "And you remember what happened at the end? You dropped the ball, and the Big Show had to find a new tag team partner to regain the Tag Team Titles. You know who it was that cleaned up the mess you made? It was me, Chris." Miz talked about how everytime Jericho makes a mess, he has to clean it up. Jericho kicks a flag, and Miz has to do double duty; Jericho comes back then leaves just as quick, and now Miz can't have any downtime because in addition to his duties as a Hollywood A-Lister, he has to take on all of Jericho's personal appearances. Jericho called Miz out for what he was saying, noting that Miz knew damn well what Jericho's contractual agreements were the last several times he came back to WWE, and called him a liar because he never had to take on extra personal appearances. Jericho said that in fact, it was Miz who begged for more personal appearances because he knew nobody was going to see his movies otherwise. Miz snapped and went to attack Jericho. Jericho fought back, but Miz kneed him in the groin, then knocked him out on the floor with the Skull Crushing Finale.

Grade: 87

Back to the TLC Panel

Renee Young, Natalya and Booker T were disgusted by what transpired, while Paige and Corey Graves loved what they saw, with Graves even applauding. Booker angrily asked Graves what he was clapping for, and Graves said that it was about time someone called Chris Jericho out for the baloney he had been pulling for years, and it was time someone exposed the real Chris Jericho for what he really was. Paige then said that brutal honesty like what we just saw from Miz is why she had a blast filming "Santa's Little Helper" with him, and that the DVD would crush the sales of all of Fozzy's records combined, which wasn't going to be too hard to do. Natalya had enough of Paige's snarky comments and got up out of her seat and was about to walk away. Paige said "Typical Hart family coward, walking away when things don't go your way like your uncle Bret, your uncle Davey and your dad did in Montreal." Natalya heard Paige loud and clear and charged in after her, tackling her out of her seat. Renee screamed for help while Booker T tried to get Nattie off of Paige while Corey Graves encouraged her to fight back. Security had to rush in to get the two divas separated as a visibly shaken up Renee Young threw it back to Michael Cole and JBL.

Grade: 59

WWE Intercontinental Championship

Chairs Match

Kevin Owens (Champion) vs. Dean Ambrose (Challenger)

It didn't take long for these two to throw the rulebook out as they immediately commenced to brawling, taking the fight outside the ring and grabbing any chair that they could get their hands on. As it seemed that some of the Boston crowd was getting behind Kevin Owens, he decided to provoke them to booing him as he picked up his chair, set it down, sat in it and locked Dean Ambrose in a headlock. The Boston crowd booed him, to which Owens shouted "Of course you braindead idiots would boo great classic scientific wrestling!" The fight went on between the two, with half the crowd chanting "LET'S GO AMBROSE!" followed by the other half chanting "FIGHT, OWENS, FIGHT!" Several chairs were broken over the course of the match, and it looked as if Ambrose was about to become the new IC Champion after hitting the Dirty Deeds onto a steel chair, but Owens barely got his shoulder up at two and three quarters. Ambrose slapped the mat in frustration, then went to pick Owens up, only for Owens to gouge him in the eyes. As Ambrose attempted to recover, Owens sent him bouncing off the ropes, picked him up and slammed him down onto a steel chair with the Pop Up Powerbomb. A three count later, and Kevin Owens would retain the IC Title.

Winner and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kevin Owens

Paul Heyman was seen milling about smartly backstage when Byron Saxton caught up to him. Byron asked him if Brock Lesnar was here, and Paul Heyman said that whatever Brock Lesnar decides to do is Brock Lesnar's decision and his alone. Heyman then stated why he was here: he had a vested interest in seeing who would be destroyed by his client, the one in 21 and 1, the man who decimated John Cena at SummerSlam 2014, and the man who would once again become the reigning, defending WWE World Heavyweight Champion... BROOOOOOCK... LESNAARRRRRR!

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Tables, Ladders and Chairs

Sheamus (Champion) vs. Roman Reigns (Chairs)

The two didn't waste any time trying to beat the tar out of each other, using their fists, forearms and any weapons they could get their hands on. Tables and chairs were broken, and both men kept trying to climb the ladder, only to be brought down the hard way. Sheamus at one point slammed Reigns through a table with a move we hadn't seen in a while, the Celtic Cross. After battering the stuffing out of each other, Reigns managed to smash Sheamus through a table in the corner with a spear. Reigns crawled over and made his way to the ladder, and it looked like he was about to grab the title when...

Brock Lesnar made his way down to the ring, much to the delight of the crowd as they went absolutely bonkers. Roman Reigns stared Lesnar down and came down off the ladder to confront him. They stared each other down, and Reigns went to punch Lesnar, only for Lesnar to pick him up and slam him down with an F-5. Sheamus stirred about and turned over, noticing what had transpired. He smiled at Lesnar and was giving him a thumbs up, and Lesnar was chuckling, as if he had made some sort of an alliance with Sheamus. He even helped Sheamus up, only to hoist him up and slam him down with an F-5 to a loud pop from the crowd! Lesnar stood tall over both men before exiting the ring. Michael Cole noted that it seemed like Brock Lesnar didn't care who won, and JBL agreed, saying he was sending a message to both men. Both Reigns and Sheamus laid down as various referees ran in to try and revive them. Just as they were about to call it off, Roman Reigns and Sheamus were stirring about, trying to pick themselves up. Reigns then went for a Superman Punch, only for Sheamus to duck underneath. Reigns turned around and right into a Brogue Kick from the Celtic Warrior. Sheamus then went to climb the ladder and retrieved the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. TLC went off the air with Michael Cole wondering aloud what would the ramifications be as a result of what Brock Lesnar did tonight.

Winner and still WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Sheamus

Cage Side Seats:

-It's been reported that locker room morale has received a bit of a boost in recent weeks. R-Truth had apparently lifted the spirits of the locker room after doing some spot on impressions of co-workers, with his impressions of Ryback, Triple H and Vince McMahon being big hits. Locker room morale also received a nice boost after it was reported that the recent TLC event was a success among critics, the WWE Network and cable providers.

-Speaking of Vince McMahon, it appears he has been giving Triple H a lot more control over WWE, especially creatively and financially. It's also been said that shareholders have been vocal about the role Kevin Dunn has had in the creative department in the past. To soothe the shareholders, Dunn apparently sold most of his stocks and has taken on a less active role within the company. This might explain the direction WWE has been going in recent weeks.

-The feud between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger over the United States Championship has apparently come to an abrupt end. It was apparent that the two had zero chemistry whatsoever as there were botches by both men. It's rumored that WWE officials feel that they have probably gotten everything they can out of Swagger, and this latest attempt to give him a good push falling on its face could lead to him becoming a jobber to the stars from here on out. As for Del Rio, look for him to start feuding with Dean Ambrose over the US Championship very soon.

-Everyone seems to be abuzz over the announcement at TLC of the WWE Divas Tag Team Championship tournament. Confirmed teams so far include Paige and Alicia Fox, the Bella Twins, Jessie Kay and Peyton Royce, and Shane Skye and yet to be named partner (most likely Portia Perez if WWE can finalize the deal).

Monday, Week 3

R-Truth, Curtis Axel and Fandango defeated Bo Dallas and the Ascension in a dark match when Axel pinned Viktor.

http://i.imgur.com/Ab23O6l.jpg

The show kicked off with a video package detailing what happened in the TLC main event the previous night, showing how hard Roman Reigns and Sheamus fought, and how Brock Lesnar decimated both men before Sheamus crawled his way up the ladder and retrieved the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt.

We then went to Paul Heyman, who was already in the ring to address the crowd. He let them know that neither Roman Reigns nor Sheamus would be in attendance tonight as apparently they needed some time to recover from the injuries (kayfabe) they sustained at TLC. Heyman went on to say that if Sheamus felt this sore after a simple cameo by the "Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar, imagine what it was going to be like when Brock Lesnar takes him on in an actual match at the Royal Rumble.

Jo Jo was backstage to interview the Miz and Paige. They took the time to plug the DVD "Santa's Little Helper" and noted how they had such a blast working together on the film and didn't realize how much they had in common, such as how much they despised overrated Canadians such as Chris Jericho and Natalya. Jo Jo then asked Miz about his upcoming tag match tonight where he would team up with Kevin Owens to take on Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho himself. Miz said that it shouldn't be too difficult seeing as that he beat the ever living tar out of Jericho last night.

The Big Show teamed up with Rusev to take on Mark Henry and Ryback. The broadcast team of Michael Cole, JBL and Byron Saxton reiterated how last night at TLC, the Big Show beat down Mark Henry after losing the arm wrestling contest, and how the tug of war contest between Rusev and Ryback on the TLC Kickoff Show devolved into an all out brawl. The tag match wasn't much different, as it quickly escalated into an all out brawl, with all four men shoving down the referee, leaving him no choice but to disqualify both teams. Much more security ran out to get all four men separated this time around.

Stardust was back in his Star Room, and looked a bit more evil than usual.

He talked about how apparently Goldust didn't get the message to stay out of his way the first time around, so he beat it into his head... literally... last night at TLC. Stardust went on about how now, the forces of evil could once again rise up to bring down the people's heroes, and prove to the world that the good guy doesn't always win.

Tamina represented Team B.A.D., who had been on a roll. Sasha Banks was at ringside to provide guest commentary, while Naomi was in Tamina's corner to cheer her on as she took on the upstart Peyton Royce. Tamina dominated most of the match and seemed to have things well in hand until Peyton mounted a comeback. Naomi decided to try and help Tamina out, but Sasha got up out of her seat to shout at her to let Tamina get this on her own, she had this. While Naomi and Sasha were arguing, Tamina took back control of the match and looked to Naomi and Sasha. Naomi nodded, but Sasha began to argue with her again. Tamina attempted to whip Peyton into the ropes, but Peyton reversed, which neither Naomi nor Sasha saw. Naomi reached out trip up Peyton, but instead inadvertently tripped up Tamina. That was enough for Peyton to hit Tamina with her Leg Sweep DDT that she calls the Pey DT and get the upset win. Naomi couldn't believe what happened, and she and Sasha began arguing over who cost Tamina the match!

Adam Rose was standing by once again for his Rose Report and proceeded to talk about how Kalisto got a fluke victory over Diego last night at TLC, and how Titus O'Neil was obviously nothing special because he wasn't even on the card last night. Kalisto and Titus had about all they could handle of Rose's smack talk and interrupted his segment to call him out on it. Both Titus and Kalisto challenged Rose to either find a tag team partner for match, or face them both in individual competition. Rose said he'd take the matter under advisement.

Tyler Breeze didn't have much difficulty as he took on Heath Slater in a modern day enhancement match. Slater did manage to get a bit of offense in, but that was put to a halt with a distraction from Summer Rae, allowing Tyler Breeze to nail the One Man Rock Band with the Beauty Shot for the pinfall victory.

Renee Young interviewed King Barrett backstage, who boasted that things seemed to be getting back on track for him after his tag team victory with Tyler Breeze last night over Neville and Dolph Ziggler. Barrett announced that the Authority was so impressed with how he smashed Neville with the Bull Hammer that they already granted him entry into the Royal Rumble match.

The crowd came unglued as the Rock made another in-person appearance. "FINALLY... THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO WORCESTER, MASS!" The Rock had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hands as he talked about how much he missed being in front of a live crowd, and how he felt that he didn't live up to his end of the bargain when a few years ago he had said that he had come home, and that he felt guilty for saying that when Hollywood wound up sending him more film projects. As a way to make up for it, he was going to show up for the millions... AND MILLIONS... of the Rock's fans each and every chance he got, and not via satellite, which got a good chuckle out of the crowd.

Everyone, especially the announce team, was in shock at the abrupt interruption from one Dolph Ziggler, and Ziggler did not look happy one iota. The announce team assumed that it was because of last night's loss, but we would find out very shortly that wasn't all that ticked him off. Even though he might have stumbled over his words here and there once or twice, Ziggler made it clear that he was sick and tired of how his career had been going. He was sick of having opportunities taken away from him every time he tried to reach out for that brass ring. He talked about how it wasn't right that the Rock could just be handed a Royal Rumble spot after not wrestling for over two years, and it wasn't right that King Barrett was in the Rumble and he (Dolph) wasn't. Rock managed to calm Ziggler down, telling him he could relate.

"You see a long time ago, I was trying to make it to the NFL. Every time I went out there and busted my tail, I would get demoted to the practice squad until I got cut. Then I tried to make it in the CFL and had that overrated piece of monkey crap Doug Flutie call what my family had done so proudly as... well, the word that rhymes with 'it.' Sorry, PG show, kids. And not only did I deal with that, I had to deal with getting cut from the CFL... THE CFL! Then I decided I was going to finally follow in my family's footsteps and set out to become the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. And while many people tried to put obstacles in my path, I overcame each and every one of them, and look where I am now after never giving up and continuing to fight each and every obstacle that was in my way." The Rock then told Dolph that he was a bit disappointed that he would take his frustrations out on him, because he remembered that at one time, guys like Dolph were his (the Rock's) biggest fans, making videos imitating the Rock and dressing up as him for Halloween. Rock told Dolph that he meant no insult to him by returning, and Dolph seemed to calm down. He told Rock he was sorry for taking his frustrations out on him, and he would take Rocky's advice to heart.

After a commercial break, we saw a snippet of how the Bella Twins turned on Alicia Fox the night before at TLC, and that Alicia was taking on Brie to attempt to gain a measure of revenge. The two divas battled back and forth, but it looked like Alicia had the match in hand. The ref was arguing with Alicia at one point, and while the ref didn't notice Nikki and Brie swap places, it seemed like Alicia did. Nikki acted like she was slow to get up, but Alicia knocked her out with the Watch Yo Face scissors kick. Alicia pinned Nikki and smirked at Brie Bella as the Bellas' plan backfired.

The Usos, Dudley Boyz and Jessie Kay were backstage, exchanging Christmas presents with each other, as well as enjoying gingerbread men, Christmas cookies and egg nog. Then Shane Skye came in to ruin the mood, acting like a total Scrooge. Shane said that she didn't get the point of everyone acting like two faces and only being nice to each other one day out of the year. She said "Bah humbug" to everyone, then took a cup and filled it with egg nog, then flung it at Jessie. Jessie was visibly upset, but she seemingly cooled off and approached Shane, acting as if she was going to forgive her. However, Jessie followed up by saying "Merry X-mas" and taking the bowl of egg nog and dumping the entire contents all over Shane. Shane Skye shrieked in horror and ran off as the Usos, Dudleys and Jessie got the last laugh.

The New Day came out to taunt the crowd and celebrate their victory at TLC last night. They said that despite that, it was also a sad time for them as they lost a very close relative: Xavier Woods' trombone. Michael Cole and Byron Saxton noted how ridiculous that was, while JBL said "C'mon, show some respect for the dead!" The New Day asked for a moment of silence for the trombone. Big E thought that the moment of silence was over and said "Uh, Paul... uh... oh," realizing it wasn't when Xavier and Kofi chastised him. The moment continued just a wee bit longer, then ended when Big E instructed a stage hand named Paul to reach underneath the ring and retrieve the Christmas present that he and Kofi got for Xavier today. The stage hand got a long box out from under the ring and handed it over to Big E, who then handed it over to Xavier and encouraged him to open it. Xavier opened it up, and his eyes lit up as he saw that he got a brand new and much better trombone. He thanked Big E and Kofi, then proceeded to play "Amazing Grace" to honor the previous fallen trombone.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMl9YsW_Qqc

The New Day looked light deers in the headlights as Bray Wyatt led Luke Harper and Erick Rowan down to ringside. After blowing out his lamp and the lights coming back on, he took out his mic and addressed the New Day. He let them know that after decimating Kane and the Dudleys last night, brothers Harper and Rowan had been deemed #1 challengers to the WWE Tag Team Titles and would be facing the New Day at the Royal Rumble.

Commercial break, and we came back to Neville squaring off against Diego. While both men went all out to put on a great performance, Neville would not have much trouble in the end as he hit the Red Arrow and racked up a victory to rebound from last night.

WWE Network plug to remind us that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's podcast interview with Shawn Michaels was now available to be viewed anytime on demand. That was followed up by Alberto Del Rio making his way to the ring, ecstatic from his victory last night. He said that last night, he proved without a shadow of a doubt that he was the absolute greatest United States Champion in WWE history, and asked how sad was it that the greatest United States Champion wasn't even born in the USA. "USA! USA! USA!" chants ensued, with Del Rio cutting them off by telling the fans that this was 2015, not 1985. Del Rio said he had tried to continue the great tradition of John Cena's US Open Challenge, but no one save for Jack Swagger wanted to step up to the plate because unlike that fool Swagger, everyone else knew that they didn't have what it took to defeat Del Rio. He said he would go ahead and try anyway though, as he had been granted permission by the Authority to put the US Title on the line against anyone that wanted a shot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHLl2QTTQfs

The crowd started to come alive when they realized who it was, and the announce team couldn't believe it. Alberto Del Rio couldn't believe it, and he looked mad as hell. Del Rio could be heard shouting at the referee that "This punk doesn't even work here!" To which the ref reminded Del Rio that this was an open challenge. AJ Styles entered the ring and smirked at Del Rio before taking off his black leather jacket and his black hoodie.

US Open Challenge

Alberto Del Rio (Champion) vs. AJ Styles (Challenger)

What followed was a much better match than last night's. The crowd was solidly behind AJ Styles, but Alberto Del Rio kept fighting back, coming close several times to spoiling AJ Styles' shocking WWE debut. Del Rio went for a super kick, but AJ ducked underneath and knocked Del Rio loopy with an enziguri. Styles picked up Del Rio and shouted "Michelle, this is how you do it!" He followed up by hitting the Styles Clash and rolling over into a pinning situation, and the crowd popped for joy as a new champion was crowned.

Winner and NEW WWE United States Champion: AJ Styles

Dean Ambrose was walking around backstage like only he can when he bumped into Kevin Owens. Owens taunted him about once again, Dean Ambrose couldn't get it done. Once again, Ambrose came up short. He asked Ambrose what he, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley and Dan Marino all had in common. Ambrose shrugged and said he really didn't care. Owens said "Too bad, I'm gonna tell you anyway. What you and them all have in common is that none of you could win when it really mattered, when a championship was at stake." Ambrose smirked and reminded Owens, that was where he was wrong, reminding Owens that he was a former United States Champion, and it would be a matter of time before he was champion again. Owens popped off and said that he talked to the Authority, saying that if somehow Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho could win tonight, both could have a shot at his Intercontinental Championship this Thursday night on Smackdown.

Speaking of the Authority, they were happily talking to each other about the success of last night's TLC and exchanged Christmas presents. Triple H then got out a mistletoe and put it above both his and Stephanie's head. Just as they were about to kiss, Alberto Del Rio barged into the room, fuming over what had transpired earlier. Del Rio told Triple H that he knew they weren't the best of friends, but he thought that surely the Authority knew that what happened earlier was a travesty. Triple H did say that it wasn't right that a great champion such as Alberto Del Rio was ripped off like he was, but that said, AJ Styles had just agreed to a contract with WWE hours before the show and that Del Rio did indeed issue an open challenge. However, Del Rio would get a chance at a rematch this coming Thursday night on Smackdown, which was proving to potentially be a stacked show.

Jack Swagger tried to get things rolling again after his loss last night, but he was going up against Damien Sandow, who had been on a roll since he shed the comedic image. Swagger gave Sandow a competitive match, but Sandow hit the Terminus and that was all she wrote for the All American American American.

Cameras caught up with Charlotte, who was talking to Becky Lynch about what happened last night. Charlotte said she was more upset than Becky was because she was trying to put on the best damn match possible with all the pressure that had been put on them as of late. Becky said she understood, but did think it was a bit convenient that Charlotte benefited from the disqualification loss, seeing as that a title cannot change hands on a count out or disqualification. Charlotte said she would prove that there were no ulterior motives by teaming up with Becky and going all the way to the Royal Rumble to be crowned the first ever WWE Divas Tag Team Champions. Charlotte put out her pinky, and Becky smiled and reciprocated.

We saw a video tribute of the Undertaker, highlighting his entire career and how he had evolved from an undead zombie to the legend that he is today.

After the video, we were sent to the announce table, where Michael Cole said that WWE had sent out separate camera crews to interview Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Cesaro all in their respective homes via satellite. They all talked about how the road to recovery was going well, and both Orton and Cesaro announced that they were cleared to compete at the Royal Rumble. They argued back and forth about how they would win it, but Seth chimed in that it wouldn't matter, because the architect behind the Shield and greatest theft in WrestleMania history would return not too far into the distant future and reclaim what was rightfully his, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

It was time for our tag team main event, and what a barn burner it was as Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose went toe to toe with the Miz and Kevin Owens. There were a fair amount of "FIGHT, OWENS, FIGHT!" chants to go along with the "LET'S GO AMBROSE!" and "Y2J!" chants. Even some "MIZ IS AWFUL!" chants got started up. Chris Jericho was having his way with Kevin Owens and looked to be on the verge of victory until Paige came skipping down to the ring. As the ref was distracted with Owens, Paige attempted to interfere in the match. But Natalya came running down to ringside and blasted Paige with a clothesline. Miz hopped down off the apron and went to go after Nattie, but Ambrose ran the apron and jumped off, taking Miz out with his signature flying elbow. Ambrose quickly got back on the apron and was tagged in by Jericho. Dirty Deeds to Kevin Owens, and Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho were victorious to close out Monday Night Raw.

FROM EVERYONE AT WWE

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Taped Tuesday, Week 3

Announcers: Renee Young and Corey Graves

-Tyler Breeze sat in on commentary with Renee Young and Corey Graves as Kalisto and Neville defeated the Ascension by pinfall when Neville pinned Viktor after hitting the Red Arrow.

-Jo Jo interviewed the Bella Twins, who said they were much better off without "that ungrateful leach" Alicia Fox holding them back. They said that it didn't matter who came up against them in the Divas Tag Team Title Tournament because they would be going all the way to the Royal Rumble to become the first ever Divas Tag Team Champions.

-Bo Dallas met up with Adam Rose backstage and convinced him to "Bo-Lieve" that they would make a great tag team combination to go up against Titus O'Neil and Kalisto. Rose said he would take it into consideration.

-Paige sat in on commentary for the match pitting Natalya against Shane Skye. Shane defeated Natalya with the Skye Fall (pretty much the Cross Rhodes) after Paige got up out of her announce position and distracted Nattie.

-Byron Saxton interviewed Dean Ambrose about the upcoming triple threat match with Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship. As Dean was talking about how he would finally win the IC Title, Chris Jericho walked in to talk about why he would be the one to walk out with the IC Title. While a bit tense, Jericho and Ambrose remained friendly as Jericho wished him luck this coming Thursday night on Smackdown.

-We saw a video recap of the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match from TLC when Brock Lesnar F-5ed both Roman Reigns and Sheamus, and how Sheamus eventually climbed the ladder to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

-Rusev defeated Fandango in a very quick squash match by submission with the Accolade.

-Jo Jo interviewed an irate Natalya, who said she was fed up with Paige's antics, and also said that her husband Tyson Kidd gave Chris Jericho his blessing to watch Nattie's back in case Paige's newest running buddy, the Miz, tried to pull anything.

-Before his match, Damien Sandow came out to cut a pre-match promo.

http://i.imgur.com/SgTu0g4.jpg

Sandow talked about things tend to come in threes, and the trifecta of his big career mistakes were cashing in Money In The Bank on John Cena when he wasn't weakened enough; trying to upstage the Miz, who had helped his career immensely; and trying to please the fans. Sandow declared that he had learned from those mistakes, and now his career is on the upward path that it should be on. He told the audience that he had been talking to the Authority, and that they had told him that due to his place in the rankings, he would have to qualify for his spot in the Royal Rumble, and he was more than happy to, especially since his opponent for his qualifying match will be Curtis Axel.

-Damien Sandow defeated R-Truth by pinfall, using the finisher that was once known as the Terminus, but was now known as the Resurrection.

http://i.imgur.com/npsfEVd.jpg

Announcers: Michael Cole, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Booker T

-In a pre-show dark match, Curtis Axel defeated Diego by pinfall using a Fisherman's Buster that he renamed the Curtis Crusher.

Roman Reigns was already standing in the ring after the show open, and he didn't waste any time as he said he wasn't going to yap on all night about Looney Tunes and tater tots, and that he wanted to go ahead and beat the tar out of Brock Lesnar right now. Not even two minutes into the show and Sheamus came out all smiles and grins. Sheamus told Reigns that he didn't want his smiling face to fool him, as he wanted to get his hands on Brock Lesnar as well because not only did Roman Reigns feel his wrath at TLC, but so did "these fans' World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus." The fans predictably chanted "YOU LOOK STUPID!" as Sheamus mocked them, waving his hands around like an orchestra conductor. Not long after that, Paul Heyman came out to tell Roman Reigns and Sheamus that as the advocate for the ONE IN 21 AND ONE... the former NCAA Wrestling... "Yes, WRESTLING!" Champion... the former Ultimate Fighting Champion and the man who would once again be the reigning, defending WWE World Heavyweight Champion... it was his duty to a) let Roman Reigns know that he needed to get to the back of the line because he blew his opportunity, and b) let Sheamus know to go ahead and get the belt polished up and looking as nice as ever because Brock Lesnar would be coming for it at the Royal Rumble.

Before Roman Reigns or Sheamus could respond, the Authority came out to remind everyone to vote on the WWE App or on WWE.com as to whether or not Roman Reigns would be allowed entry into the Royal Rumble. They then told Sheamus and Paul Heyman that if either party did anything to jeopardize the title match at the Royal Rumble, there would be dire consequences. And speaking of consequences, the Authority proceeded to tell Roman Reigns to get out of the ring right now because from this point forward, as long as Sheamus is WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he is to stay away from the champion per a restraining order that they had just obtained to protect the big title match at the Rumble. But not to fret: the order was only in place as long as Sheamus was champion. Triple H then let Roman know that he would be kept busy starting next Monday night on Raw when he would be taking on a worthy opponent of the Authority's choosing.

King Barrett and Tyler Breeze teamed up once again to take on the team of Jack Swagger and Heath Slater. Summer Rae played a role once again as she distracted Heath Slater long enough for Tyler Breeze to knock him out with the Beauty Shot and pick up the pinfall victory for his team while King Barrett cut Jack Swagger off by knocking him out with the Bull Hammer.

Renee Young interviewed Dolph Ziggler, who said that his actions this past Monday night were uncalled for and were the result of his years of frustration boiling over. Ziggler said that from here on out, he would be taking his aggressions out on those unfortunate to be in the ring with him, and promised that he would never disrespect those that paved the way for superstars like him ever again. He closed the interview by looking to the camera and giving a heartfelt and remorseful apology to the Rock.

The Usos took on the Dudley Boyz in an action packed tag team match featuring two teams that were solid fan favorites. The Dudleys tried their best to keep up, but the youth of the Usos won out in the end when Jey Uso took Bubba Ray Dudley out of the ring with a super kick while Jimmy Uso countered a running attack from D-Von by hoisting him up onto his shoulders and slamming him down hard with the Alley-Us. Jey then went to the top turnbuckle as Jimmy stood up against it and came crashing down onto D-Von with the diving splash for the victory.

Adam Rose delivered yet another Rose Report, where he cleared up the rumors surrounding the Rock and Chris Jericho, saying that despite what odds makers claimed, neither had a chance to win the Royal Rumble, and that if given the opportunity to qualify for the match, he would win it. Rose then stated that after thinking over what Bo Dallas said on Main Event, he agreed to his offer to team up with him to take on Titus O'Neil and Kalisto, and that the match would happen this coming Monday night on Raw.

The New Day came out before their six man tag match against the Wyatt Family, and they proclaimed that they were not afraid of the Wyatts. "Beards? Pssh! Sheep masks? Pssh! Stupid straw hats? Pssh! Bad fashion? Pssh!" The New Day then wanted the crowd to participate with them in a new chant as they clapped along: "We're... not scared! We're... not scared! We're... not scared!" Xavier Woods then got on the trombone and played Bonecrusher's "Never Scared" as Big E and Kofi sung along, managing to keep the lyrics PG-friendly, just repeating "We ain't never scared! We ain't never scared!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D7Qq16N7WA

The New Day's antics were abruptly interrupted by the Wyatt Family, as only the Wyatts can abruptly interrupt things to make their entrance. What followed was a hard fought match involving all six men, a contest that was eventually won after Bray Wyatt hit Xavier Woods with the Sister Abigail.

Byron Saxton stood by in the WWE's News Central studios to deliver the Royal Rumble Report. He reiterated that it would be Sheamus defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar, and we saw a video package of the Beast Incarnate and the destruction he has left in the past. Saxton then let us know of the names announced so far for the Royal Rumble: The Rock, the Miz, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, and returning in time for the Royal Rumble, Cesaro and Randy Orton. Byron Saxton reminded the fans to vote on whether or not Roman Reigns should be allowed entry into the Royal Rumble match, and noted how over the course of the next couple of weeks, some wrestlers who did not qualify for automatic entry due to their rankings would compete in qualifying matches for the Rumble match.

We went to a pre-taped sit down interview that JBL conducted with Team B.A.D. He asked just what on earth happened this past Monday night when miscommunication led to Peyton Royce scoring an upset victory over Tamina. Sasha said that was simply all it was, miscommunication. Naomi and Tamina butted in, blaming Sasha for what happened on Monday night. They also let the cat out of the bag that Sasha would be teaming up with Natalya in the Divas Tag Team Title Tournament, saying that they felt she was going into business for herself. She then told them it was nothing more than to try and bring a championship to Team B.A.D., and noted that Natalya had become a big fan of theirs. Naomi and Tamina looked like they were coming around to Sasha's way of thinking, but one must wonder if there is dissension among the ranks like there was with Team Bella.

Lana was keeping Rusev busy as he had a match tonight after the match he had on Main Event (the night before for those who believe in kayfabe), and he had stiff competition in the form of Titus O'Neil. Despite the shortcomings of both big men, they managed to get the crowd into it as their brawling abilities apparently meshed very nicely together. Ryback, who had been sitting in on commentary for this match, got up out of his seat when Lana came over to talk some trash. Rusev hopped out of the ring and got Lana out of harm's way, then proceeded to argue with Ryback, not paying attention to the referee's count, leading to Titus O'Neil scoring the win via count out. Ryback laughed his way to the back as Rusev and Lana were steaming with anger, shouting that the match be restarted to no avail.

We saw a replay of the interview Jo Jo conducted with the Bellas the night before on Main Event.

WWE United States Championship

AJ Styles (Champion) vs. Alberto Del Rio (Challenger)

After being granted a rematch this past Monday night following a surprise loss to the debuting AJ Styles, Alberto Del Rio showed more aggression and seemed a lot better prepared now that he knew who his opponent was. Both men fought hard, but Alberto managed to lock Styles in the Cross Arm Breaker to attempt to get the submission victory. However, Styles was too close to the ropes, and a visibly frustrated Del Rio had to let go. Del Rio went to the top turnbuckle as Styles was slow to get up to his feet. Del Rio went for his telegraphed double elbow, but Styles caught him in the mush with a super kick. Styles wasted no time as he picked Del Rio up and slammed him down with the Styles Clash, rolling over for the pinfall victory.

Winner and still WWE United States Champion: AJ Styles

Renee Young interviewed Charlotte and Becky Lynch, who revealed that they would be facing Naomi and Tamina next Monday night on Raw in the opening round of the Divas Tag Team Title Tournament. Shane Skye interrupted, wishing them luck, because they would need it if they managed to make it far enough to face her and her yet to be revealed tag team partner. When Charlotte and Becky pressed Shane to reveal her partner, all Shane would say was that Becky would know her quite well.

WWE Intercontinental Championship

Triple Threat Match

Kevin Owens (Champion) vs. Chris Jericho (Challenger) vs. Dean Ambrose (Challenger)

We closed out the show with a wild triple threat match for the Intercontinental Title that did not disappoint. Both Jericho and Ambrose came close several times to winning the title, but Owens kept fighting off their attacks. Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose wound up outside the ring, with Owens powerbombing Ambrose onto the ring apron. The ref ran out to check on Ambrose while Owens talked smack at him. Jericho was slowly getting to his feet inside the ring, and that's when the Miz chose to run in from the crowd and into the ring, knocking Jericho out with the Skull Crushing Finale. The Miz just as quickly ran back into the crowd and out of the building, and Kevin Owens gladly took advantage of the opportunity to pick up Jericho, hoist him up into the air and slam him down with the Pop Up Powerbomb for the victory.

Winner and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kevin Owens
