O+ v1.6

Recommended Posts

Now that WWMA4 v1.40 is released, nothing can stop you from fully enjoying the mods. I insist you download the update first HERE if you haven't already or the mod will crash at a certain point.

Information

-----------

O+ is a scenario mod that only focuses on the women's weight classes of the C-verse. It has just two companies, but two more will debut a couple of years into the game.

O+ can also expand any database (including the default one that comes with the game). To use it as such just start a new game in whatever database, and import all workers from O+ into your game:

Import Procedure:

-> Go to 'options', select 'editor' and click 'import'.

-> Select 'O+' as database, select 'characters' in the dropbox, click 'select all' and then 'import' (Don't worry: it won't override existing characters)

-> (optional) Select 'agers', click 'select all' and then 'import'

-> (warning) Don't do this with the narratives as it might break your database.

* Added 411 female fighters (complete with bios and renders)

* Added 105 ager renders

* Added Strawweight division

* Added 32 narratives (including 2 that don't work yet due to errors in the game's coding)

* Every fighter's home base has been moved to the USA so you can actually sign foreign fighters

* Eras have been tweaked for lower quality workers and decreased drug use

* WEFF is 'easy' mode; AMAZON has a limited pool of popular workers

- AMAZON is set to open a flyweight division at the start, but you can always delete it if you like AMAZON's openweight approach more

- WEFF's workers are set on exclusive contracts for the first 2 years

- Both companies start at 80% popularity, with the popular workers having their popularity increased by 30 compared to vanilla. If you want more of a (financial) challenge, decrease it back to its original stats.

* Rebby's free picture pack is included and improved with 30+ workers

* revoz's Pink WMMA skin v1.3 is included

* Brownhouse's team logos are included

* Several expansion packs are included (Eyeball, Iceisle, ...)

V1.5 improves on the previous versions, but it's not worth starting a new game over. The changes are mostly cosmetic.

Changes compared to v1.4:

- Some new ager-renders

- Deleted most broadcasters (you can always restore the default ones)

- Fixed some errors and typos

- Few balance changes and tier1 stat tinkering

- A new narrative

V1.6 improves several aspects

- Some more narratives

- Some more teams

- Some more relationships

- Some more agers

- Some more fighters (credits to Iceisle for these)

- Tweaked several settings (except fighter stats)

-> Unlike last version, which mainly improved the fighters, this is actually worth starting a new game over imo.

Install instructions

--------------------

Unpack everything in your [WMMA4] folder.

Don't forget to install the patch! Do it now if you haven't already.

The only thing that is really required is the database (O+). The rest is optional.

The database and the skins can be enabled through the respective buttons on the main screen.

Always overwrite if asked. Normally it shouldn't overwrite anything except modders' resources you've already downloaded. Rerenders always come with the original file renamed. But to be safe, you're better off making backups or make a seperate Pictures folder.

Tips:

- Don't put 'Training Effectiveness' any higher than 'normal' (slow is preferable)

- Disable the 'Regeneration' feature until 2012 (unless you like a huge worker pool); if you need workers, have a reality TV show when you're national.

- It won't hurt your experience to set relationship rate to '(very) high'. Try it.

Download

Enjoy!

Given that it's been a year since the first WMMA4 release of this spinoff from CVE, I'm releasing it as v1.6 as I won't be working on it any further as it does what it's supposed to do. I won't call it v2 as nothing major changed. I'm sorry for posting V1.5 too quickly. I named the folders wrong and should've made one sole download, and then named the thread wrong .

Credits go to everyone who helped work on it. Now I REALLY won't work on the mod anymore for a long while, unless I missed a big error somewhere.

Yes, I know. Some others also don't have one. I was... out of inspiration, plus most bios were produced by MatthewTrixie (I should've mentioned him in the credits section). If nobody steps up I'll make some generic ones, but like I said a next version is probably far off. Feel free to mod this and publish your own version, but I'd rather not have the stats radically changed, so there is a common ground on the forums. We don't want two versions of characters circulating. :p

Don't worry too much about 1.6. "Some" is literaly 2 or 3 in most instances. And I think you can import several of those new things.

EDIT: Also, there's only 8 active camps at the start of the mod. Two more will enter, but you might want to add some more yourself if you want a higher percentage of fighters in camps. That being said, the rate is about the same as the default database initially.

Wow this was unexpected, good thing I didn't start importing the Characters in O+ 1.5 to my mod before I came back to check one last time. Good Work!

EDIT:

I make sure any duplicates have been removed and I clean out errors in the database and picture database for my mega mod and have noticed several mistakes in O+ 1.6:

Erica Williams is not in the DB and missing a body picture

Aurora Selanne has a extra face picture

Davey Rushton is a male.

A lot of pictures don't have character profiles in the DB like So-Yun Park.

Thanks for your feedback! I'll fix it. She was from the Weidtverse from WMMA3 apparently. The character profiles will eventually be added. Why don't you contribute one if you like? :p But So-Yun Park should have a profile:

"A very interesting Taekwondo convert, 'Little Tiger' So-Yun Park is lightning fast with her strikes, but her oddly lacking power could prove to be a problem in Mixed Martial Arts." (from Iceisle's db)

I don't know what went wrong if you haven't got it. Sure that you downloaded v1.6? I checked and I did upload the correct database.

Who is Davey Rushton? :p

Is there a render I missed for Lauren Stamille-Richards?

Marcelle Gimenez doesn't have a bio so I wrote one:

Marcelle Gimenez never met a microphone she didn't like. After enrolling in jiu jitsu classes in her native Brazil, she decided to matriculate to Mexico in the hopes of joining Combat Team Curitiba. After a year of training, she made a New Year's resolution to turn pro in 2009....then changed her mind and declared a month early.

Sorry, was watching old Super Bowl film (65 Toss Power Trap, specifically)and Hank Stram's "Just keep matriculatin' the ball down the field, boys" was stuck in my head. :p

It's supposed to be a C-verse character but I forgot which one. I want to make the renders somewhat truthful to the lore and that takes time. So there's no render yet.

Here's a promo render to use as title screen if one would wish it (sorry about the crappy background):

Here is a slightly updated version fixing several (usually) cosmetic errors and adding some fluff, like Hall of Fame achievements for existing fighters based on the recorded history, and awards for 2000 and below. Not much use starting a new game over but it does enrich the experience a little. This is the database only:

DOWNLOAD V17 UPDATE

And an alternate version that eliminates the localisation, so fighters debut in either Europe, Japan or Mexico (which I use instead of South America as Mexicans can be hired by small promotions). This is more suitable to people playing with the default database that merely import the new workers.

DOWNLOAD AND RENAME TO WMMA4

Any idea why the file is suddenly 15MB, while the default database - which is way bigger - is half that size? :p

To install, simply overwrite the file "WMMA4" in:

C:\Program Files\WMMA4\Databases\O+ (standard path)

Adam says it's probably nothing, and that it's probably from one of the edits unused in other db's (like agers).

I'm sorry that I keep updating, but I mention frequently that it's not worth starting a new game over. I wasn't planning updating it any further but there you go. But now I'm really finished. :p

It's OK, I've been making a mega mod or expansion to C-Verse and added just about anything else I can find in the kitchen sink, so I've incorporated as many of your additions as I possibly could. Right now I'm still checking every character to make sure they all have unique renders and I've been making sure unique character pictures with no character in the DB have one or go to the free renders. I've literally cleaned out any duplicates I could find in the pictures folder and for the past few days I've been adding lots of fluff to the mod.

Also,

The alternate link leads to the same file as the regular download.

EDIT:

I noticed you had a character render named 'Wanda Fish' who isn't in the database.

Just downloaded this mod and am going to import it along with some other mods, renders, names, etc. I've pulled from other threads in here.

Thank you for all the dedication to working on this, and giving us a better CV to play WMMA with. Much appreciated!

Looking forward to getting my first real game in with this version of WMMA. I'll post some feedback and thoughts once I've spent some time playing, as I haven't been immersed in the game world since the last game.

Cheers~! :D

Laura Flame, if you were meaning to make her Hell Monkey's protege. Laura Flame's the only Hell Monkey trained woman in the C-Verse.

What do you guys think? I'm currently in the process of resetting the pop values of O+. The reason I boosted WEFF and the most significant fighters by 30 was that you could reach national status way earlier and start:

1. signing people from other regions

2. start with reality tv shows.

But now that I think of it, both reasons are not necessarily valid anymore. Everyone is located in the US anyway now. And you can always boost your pop temporarily to gain access to the reality tv show feature , then turn it back the next day (without penalties). So there's no reason to 'mod' the C-verse any more than is needed.

I'm not releasing a new version or anything, but it's just a little weird that - in the current version - WEFF grows very quickly, to the point that you're pulling major PPV numbers.

I posted more on the photobucket page so this page doesn't take mb's long to load. If you care about alternates and agers you can always take a look by following the link on the pictures (it should be public). I made some minor fixes to the database but there's no point in releasing an update.

I'm always open for feedback in case people are still playing this.
