Both the Vessey and KttF are new in the last year. The Vessey is a 3 day tag tournament shortly before Summer Showdown and Key to the Future is a 20 person round robin tournament to decide the world title challenger at Total Mayhem whose brand did not win the Royal Rumble.

WCW Lives May 2001 to August 2002 (mid-year showcase)

 

WCW World Heavyweight - Booker T (4x), since May 2001 - Has gone through the ringer with Diamond Dallas Page, Sting (including the main event of Starrcade), Jeff Jarrett, Ric Flair, Goldin Rhodes, Honor Rising, and is now in a rivalry with Shane Douglas. Has already dethroned Hulk Hogan as the longest reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion ever.

 

WCW United States - Goldin Rhodes (3x), since July 2002 - Recently beat Diamond Dallas Page for the title at the inaugural Nihoncon.

 

WCW World Tag Team - Honor Rising (CM Punk and Samoa Joe) (2x for each), since June 2002 - Recently beat Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire and for the titles at Great American Bash in a 3-Way Ladder Match that also included Team Canada (Lance Storm and Mike Awesome). Members of the 4Wo.

 

WCW Openweight - Vacant since August 2002 - Former champion Goldberg vacated the title after defeating Duane Gill. He threw it down afterwards, not realizing until afterwards the match was for a title. Eric Bischoff declared it vacant the day after. Title is dictated that it must always be on the line in a match, barring tag matches. Once a champion reaches 15 defenses, they can vacate their title for a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

 

So far, Mark Jindrak is the only champion to make it to the full 15 defenses. He cashed it in for a title shot against Booker T on an episode of Nitro. He was unsuccessful.

 

WCW Cruiserweight - AJ Styles (1x), since July 2002 - Recently beat Jamie Knoble at Bash at the Beach. Once a champion reaches 10 defenses, they can vacate their title for a shot at the WCW United States Championship. No champion has been able to do this yet.

 

 

Other Accomplishments

 

Golden Opportunity Briefcase - Goldin Rhodes, since May 2002 - Beat Kanyon, Davey Boy Smith, Ken Shamrock, Konnan, and Shane Douglas to win the briefcase.

 

The Big Bang Climax - Goldin Rhodes - 8-Man single elimination tournament that takes place in May. Winner gets a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Great American Bash. Goldin Rhodes defeated Rey Misterio Jr. in the finals in 2002. He was unsuccessful in his World Title challenge against Booker T.

 

WCW Cruiserweight Classic - AJ Styles - Finals held in June. 10 Cruiserweights fight in a Round Robin tournament. Top four points holders (2 points for victory, 1 for draw) face in a single elimination tournament at Great American Bash. Winner gets a shot at the WCW Cruiserweight Championship at Bash at the Beach. If the champion should win, they can choose their challenger at Bash at the Beach. AJ Styles defeated Jamie Knoble in the finals to win the 2002 tournament.

 

WCW Tag Team Classic - TBA - Finals held in September. 10 teams fight in a Round Robin tournament. Top four points holders (2 points for victory, 1 for draw) face in a single elimination tournament at Fall Brawl. Winner gets a shot at the WCW World Tag Team Championship at Halloween Havoc.

 

Halloween Havoc 60-Man Rumble - Sting - 60-Man Over the Top Rope Rumble to earn a WCW World Heavyweight Championship shot at Starrcade. Sting won the inaugural 30-Man Rumble to earn the title shot, which he lost to Booker T.

NWA World Tag Team: Ric Flair & Arn Anderson

 

Flair and Luger were tag champs... But when Anderson returned, Flair kicked the World champ out of the group. A tag match was set for the vacant tag belts and the world title, with Arn and Flair V Luger and Horsemen rival Barry Windham. Unfortunately for Luger it turned out Barry had been chosen as his replacement, and he screwed Luger out of the title.

 

NWA US Heavyweight : Sting (def. Kevin Sullivan)

 

Sting, Sullivan, Bubba Rogers, Nikita Koloff, Ron Simmons and Mark Callous have all been feuding over the US Title.

 

NWA Television: Stan Lane (defeated Scott Hall)

 

Scott Hall won his first title in a great baby face v baby face match with Hector Guerrero. The two formed a friendship over the match and teamed together occasionally after. So when Hall was screwed out of his TV title by Midnight Express member Stan Lane, it set off a feud between the Express and Hall/Guerrero

 

US Tag Team Champions: Shawn Michaels and Brian Pillman (defeated Al Snow and Norman Smiley)

 

Michael's and Pillman recently began their third US Tag title reign. It seems to have gone to their heads however, as they've turned on their fans and declared themselves the best team in the world.

 

NWA Junior Heavyweight: Tiger Conway Jr (defeated Rocky King)

 

No real story here. Conway just came back from injury so he won the belt to get some momentum going again.

 

NWA Womens: Sherri Martel (def. Heidi Lee Morgan)

I bought JWP and started a feud with the two womens rosters. The Tag Belts have been unified and I'm building to a Bull Nakano V Sherri Martel match. Martel has been champion now for over a year, with over 20 defences. The JWP Jr belt will probably become a Womens TV title after the invasion angle ends.

He faces Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event, Nakamura is 5w 1d 1l against the ace, something that has bothered Tanahashi.

 

IWGP Intercontinental: Tomoaki Honma (1x / 1 Defense)

An underdog story 2 years in the making, Bullet Club relentlessly mocked and attacked Honma, and finally Devitt challenged Honma in a job vs title match, which Honma shockingly won. He now faces Devitt again at Wrestle Kingdom, can he survive Bullet Club?

 

IWGP Junior: KUSHIDA (4x / 0 Defenses)

KUSHIDA is a 4x champion, after beating Omega in an upset, he now faces BOSJ winner Kenoh. Will Kushida quickly defeat someone who he never even considered to be a potential rival? Or will Kenoh upset KUSHIDA in a huge way and earn his first title in NJPW?

 

IWGP Tag Team: Rising Dragons (Shingo Takagi & Suwama) (2x / 1 Defense)

G1 Tag League winners, Rising Dragons, came up huge after defeating rivals TenKoji for the first time in their careers, they converted that into their 2nd title reign with the IWGP Tag titles. At Wrestle Kingdom XI though, they face Takeshi Morishima and Kamikaze, or MoriKaze in a rematch. The two teams are 1-1 against each other.

 

Open the Dream Gate: Kento Miyahara (1x / 2 Defenses)

Miyahara has been feuding with Suzuki since 2011 or so. The two have been in countless battles in the ring, but now Miyahara set out to prove Suzuki in a different way, after winning the title Suzuki called Miyahara a paper champion, and he'd lose it in his first defense. Clearly he is wrong, but now Miyahara faces Kazuchika Okada, the man who beat him twice. Can Miyahara prove Suzuki wrong by beating his toughest opponent in Okada? Or is Okada destined to have yet another one sided feud under his belt?

 

NEVER Openweight: Samoa Joe (1x / 5 Defenses)

Samoa Joe returned from injury with a statement, defeating Masato Tanaka in March, Joe vowed to make the Openweight title as prestigious as the IC or Heavyweight title, and so far he is one defense away from tying the most defenses in a single reign set by Jinsei Shinzaki back in 2004, when the title was still known as the Japan title. In front of Joe? The man he couldn't beat in the G1, going to a 30m draw, Kota Ibushi.

 

NEVER Openweight Tag: TenKoji (Tenzan & Kojima) (4x / 1 Defense)

After failing to beat Tanahashi in the finals this year, Kojima's last G1 ever was not the Cinderella story it could have been. Regardless, Kojima quickly went back to doing what he does best, winning tag titles. Beating a ready Gallows & Anderson of the BC, twice, they seemingly had no opponents left to face. A returning Jeff Hardy (rehab.. every... single... year....) with his brother Matt, issues a challenge. Will the Hardys get their second title reign in NJPW? Or is TenKoji just too dominant?

 

NEVER Six Man: Great Bash Heel (Masato Tanaka, Robert Roode, Claudio Castagnoli)

The trio upset 2x Six Man champions Dan Maff, Tama Tonga, and Johnny Bullet of the BC. They face them again at Wrestle Kingdom. The titles change hands rapidly due to the chaotic nature of 6 man matches, so anything could happen!

 

Goddesses STARDOM : Purple Thunder Sisters (Mio/Io Shirai) (1x / 5 Defenses)

The inaugural champions, they have set down two teams from ICE, two from TJP, and one from NJPW. (My division sucks, I blow at creating female stars) They now face the team they beat for the titles originally, Wesna Busic and Mercedes Martinez. Can the sisters overcome the aggressive style of Martinez? Is former World of STARDOM Wesna Busic too much, someone Io has been unable to beat in singles competition?

 

World of STARDOM: Kana (1x / 3x)

Kana has bested Satomura not once, not twice, but three times. While Meiko originally lost the title to Kana, Kana made a statement by beating her two more times after. Mio Shirai, who won a 1 night tournament to face Kana was also soundly defeated. Now? Koiso Inaba (regen) who has a few wins over Kana back in Tokyo Joshi Pro (her record against Kana is legit like 1-5, so a win) earned her way back into the spotlight, will she become a 2x World of STARDOM Champion? One-upping her rival in Satomura in the process? Or is Kana just too much right now?

So, it's just a rename of the Cruiserweight Classic. The last two have been 32 man tournaments, although I'm probably going to do 16 in 2018. The 2016 one went from January to mid March and was to crown the first Cruiserweight Champion, which Sami Zayn defeated The Brian Kendrick in the finals. The 2017 one went from May to July and was for the opportunity to face Cruiserweight Champion Sami Zayn at Summerslam.

ROH....Sort of.

 

I took Fliech's Flashpoint alternate reality mod and decided to really spice it up. I imported about 10 promotions and 500 workers or so from The Thunderverse. Spent an entire day going through, reworking thier stats and pop to make them all younger, lesser known talent and assigning them pictures. I also took most of ROH's current in game roster and assigned them elsewhere, WWE, WCW or "The Club", which I made a large regional promotion that is run by Dreamer and Callis and runs a HoH/ECW hybrid style.

 

I then went to work on my "New" ROH. I had them close for a hiatus, and brought them back to life under new ownership and with a new roster. I took my time building to titles, but then went crazy with them, lol. I employ a ROH/NJPW hybrid style...tournaments, 6-9 events a month, large roster and many titles. I'm about 10 months in, and all my current champs are inaugural champions of my game, except for one. My roster is a mix of real world talent and Thunderverse imported talent.

The story here is that Tanahashi just wrestled Nakamura to a sixty minute draw just 2 weeks prior. He also had to endure the tour leading up to Dontaku, which of course involved challenger and New Japan Cup winner Hirooki Goto. Shockingly Goto did something he could never do, beat Tanahashi, and beat him for the most prestigious title. He now faces an ultra-competitive main event scene involving Okada, Tanahashi, and a newly debuting AJ Styles, plus with Naito returning from "excursion" soon, Goto's run at the top could be short. Also I love Goto, that is all.

 

IWGP Intercontinental - Prince Devitt

The Bullet Club has been the strongest faction maybe next to CHAOS. Either way, the Bullet Club has been targeting gaijin now, simply because if they aren't Bullet Club, they're dead. This led to Moxley getting a shot and losing thanks to Bullet Club interference, Black would save Moxley from a beatdown returning from injury, but once again the numbers prevailed. Devitt faces stiff competition in Katsuyori Shibata, Samoa Joe, and if the King of Strong wants, Devitt could be once again facing his toughest opponent in Nakamura.

Unfortunately for MoriKaze, like Kamikaze's last team DF KAZE (Don Fujii) age has caught up to them. Well, Kamikaze. Who is one of my most decorated tag team wrestler for whatever reason. Unable to hang with the blistering offense of the Rising Dragons, Kamikaze was unable to continue. A sign that perhaps, like Fujii did before him, Kamikaze may need to find a new partner for Morishima. Meanwhile, The Rising Dragons are in a division with Kings of Wrestling, Zeus & KAI, and Morishima and perhaps a new partner.

 

IWGP Junior Heavyweight - Kenoh

In all seriousness, I offered KUSHIDA 100k and 5 years and somehow M-Pro ****ing outbid me, so KUSHIDA is gone. Either way, Kenoh was winning always. He deserved it after a great BOSJ showing last year and now with KUSHIDA gone I have to find a new Junior ace. Either way, Kenoh faces some of the best in Kzy, Ishimorii, YAMATO, Hiroshi Yamato, to name a few. But he can't forget the veterans Genki Horiguchi and TAKA Michinoku, both hungry for title wins after being without it for so long.

 

Open the Dream Gate - Kento Miyahara

Probably my favorite feud to have booked. It started two years ago, 2012, during the New Japan Cup. A cocky Suzuki lost to the young Kento Miyahara, enraged, Suzuki would attack and make sure Kento would suffer... and suffer. Suzuki cost Kento his G1 chances, Suzuki cost Kento his IWGP Heavyweight title shot, and this was just because Suzuki was "better" than him. Finally, Kento won the Open the Dream Gate and would thwart Suzuki, twice. Alongside Kojima. Suzuki always called him a lucky paper champion until he beat his biggest rival in Okada at WrestleKingdom to retain. Suzuki has been quiet since until he once again crossed paths with Kento in the New Japan Cup, 2 years later. Suzuki won, but Kento would earn a title shot and unseat Suzuki. Now the two enter a "final battle" will Suzuki reclaim his title for a fourth time? Or is Kento finally going to put Suzuki down once and for all?

 

NEVER Openweight Title - Masato Tanaka

A match Kota Ibushi went in cocky, and the veteran Masato Tanaka pulled off the major upset. Tanaka is a mainstay in the Openweight division. He faces other mainstays like Tomoaki Honma, Kevin Steen, Yoshitatsu, and of course Kota Ibushi will want that rematch!

 

NEVER Openweight Tag - Osamu Nishimura and William Regal

William Regal is 46 and not declining, so... yeah. He has won everything but the big one in New Japan, and at this rate I might just toss it to him as a thank you. Both are Suzuki-gun members and Osamu is unfortunately in decline. I wanted to give Nishimura a thank you reign, and this was the best way.

 

NEVER Six Man - Uhaa Nation, Kzy, Seiya Sanada

Yep. I don't know why either. Uhaa is a main event at 92 popularity, not sure what the **** happened. Kzy is Kzy and I love the guy. This is setting up Sanada's turn as a bad guy, and his eventual push, as he now has 92/92 in basics/psych. This division is a cluster**** but whatever. I like it.

God I am so bad at booking this division. Basically Mercedes Martinez got popped for painkillers 3 times back to back, rehabbed. This is gonna implode and cause Meiko Satomura, who basically carries this division on her back, challenge and beat Inaba for the main belt. Because Inaba is getting mega cocky.
