The C-Verse Rerender Project: 3rd Strike

Recommended Posts

Once again your work makes me cry.

I'm getting better at using DAZ but I've yet to work out how to apply the C-verse background etc. Hey I've only be using the program for a week and I'm old and it takes us oldies time to work these new fangled dohickeys. My first proper attempt at anything is actually coming on okay so far which says more about the quality of the software than my abilities.

<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2017_02/harley.jpg.cdac33e8e40ae3b0d7e80542416e176c.jpg" data-fileid="3279" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3279" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="harley.jpg.cdac33e8e40ae3b0d7e80542416e176c.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2017_02/harley.jpg.cdac33e8e40ae3b0d7e80542416e176c.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Those are great willr0ck! Glad you're back!

That Harley is sweet. As for putting it on the CV background, you just save it as a .png file which will make the background transparent. Then in Photoshop or GIMP, you just simply drag and drop it over onto a blank CV background (there should be one in the People folder) and save it as a .jpg.

Thanks for the info shipshirt - that all makes sense. I'll have to get GIMP or Phtoshop but I'll hold off until I'm happy with the quality of what I can produce with DAZ first - need to learn to walk before I run.

I'm happy with the Harley - she's a Victoria 7 add on which was on special the other day when I joined. Mixed and Matched a few of the other things I bought and she came out pretty well for the first non tutorial thing I'd tried.

I'm used to doing specs for programming and configuring existing programs but the creative and graphical side of things is new to me. This stuff is fun though rather than work.

Poputt - it's actually practical make-up. The full look is even more out there as there are two zippers across the chest and another at the groin. It was one of the best make-up jobs I've ever seen. I figured If I'm going to have an Avatar I might as well have one that makes a statement ... of course the statement might be that the person with this avatar is a crazy person and you should back away from their posts right now. I love all that stuff - I actually know a girl who does cosplay who created a full Bumblebee suit from Transformers, why a pretty girl would totally cover herself with a robot suit is beyond me but seeing it live it was incredibly impressive.

<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2017_03/harleyclose.jpg.739ad6773d7a4efacf17170db990ad23.jpg" data-fileid="3280" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3280" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="harleyclose.jpg.739ad6773d7a4efacf17170db990ad23.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2017_03/harleyclose.jpg.739ad6773d7a4efacf17170db990ad23.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I never end up having a women's division when I play the C-Verse but that render alone makes me want to implement one because of how amazing it is!

Well let me say that ShipShirt developed this young padawan into a fierce Jedi Master!!!

No - No - No!

Unlike the Jedi ShipShirt and willr0ck are competent (well a lot more than competent). Number of Jedi in Episode 1 10000 number of Sith 2 - number of Jedi in episode 6 1 number of Sith 2 - that's a late WCW level of incompetence by the Jedi. The Jedi are the Washington Generals of the Star Wars universe.

When I think of Star War references my mind goes back more towards to the Old Republic years more so than the movies. That was back when there were hundreds on each side.

Roderick Remus is one of those guys who is really good on paper but was never someone I'd hire because he seemed like "generic cruiserweight". So I changed his hair and skin tone and tried to give him more of a "sleazy" look and maybe try playing him as a scummy heel. (If you want a Remmington render with this face it's already posted along with the original Rod I did. Just search this forum)
