I just don't know whether to pick up where I left off in my RtG or start a new save. I've been thinking of doing a small, low key diary again. Something like I Can Be A Booker, but slightly less production value (or maybe I just reboot the series - who knows).

Yeah, I've been looking to get a small game running for myself. Part of my hesitation with a lot of the companies mainly the AWF's, PWI's and US-based companies is I've never been a big fan of booking storyline/angle using companies because, idk, I've never really enjoyed how the game does it. Doesn't feel smooth. Almost more tedious than anything.

Dealing with a puro company is just faster to do and smoother. Easier?

Part of me would love to try AWF as if it's mirroring a IRL WWE indy influx or just have PWI start WWE's world conquering UK, Cruiserweight, Women tournaments that they're doing meanwhile Hallman is dedicated to putting out the best wrestling every week, even to his own detriment (maybe that entails overworking guys or giving away all his big matches too quick?).

Another part wants to go full fledged turning UPJ into NJPW now that they've got someone else in charge.

And after reading this awesome green guide to NOAH: http://puroprogramtranslations.blogspot.com/2018/02/noah-green-guide-to-history-of-pro.html another wants to jump in to HONOR (DIASPORA is an option but HONOR has always been my company) and try to elevate it to the top. I've always wanted to build a Four Pillars and I remember trying to last time. If I did it would likely comprise of building up Ebisawa, Ishii. Who knows who the other two would be. I'd avoid making it a Gaijin but definitely would have a Gaijin ace between Storm/Joubert/Gilmour/Atonga. And definitely a ladies & juniors ace.

The last consideration was GWS. Treat it as PWG. No rush to growth. Monthly shows. Probably a BOLA style tournament with the best of the indies. A lot of high spots match and flashy wrestlers. It would basically be Indy dream world. A lot of one-time appearances too.

Giving GWS a try. A feeling out show for sure. Erik Wayne & Shannon Sorensen are bad influences and need tot go.

Made an alliance purely so I could have an easy means of procuring guest talents. The talent trading feature for working agreements is bad imo, it should really just look and feel like the alliance loaning feature.

I'm also reminded of why I don't like angles. I often have a hard time deciding on how to rate wrestlers & how to gauge their success (or lack there of). It's way too easy to be cheap & unfair and toss in a guy with high menace and make everyone non-rated or whatever or just overload on big successes and underload on defeat. I still like to see TEW as a game and I don't want to cheat my way to success (even if it seems a bit too easy to do that).

In any case, the main storylines are Luke Graves as champion building up to I feel an inevitable showdown with the unofficial ace, Pierre Lejosne. For now he'll dominate, face random guys and such. I will also elevate the tag belts so that they can share main events.

Pierre Lejosne's immediate storyline is overcoming Bear Zanev. Going with the idea that Sierra turned on him to manage Zanev, Blaize & Domoine (it says in her bio she managed Lejosne but in game she now manages Blaize/Zanev and is a heel so I guess she just didn't get updated? idk) as The Empire (I couldn't think up a good name). She goes against the ideals the company and her brothers stand for. Lejosne tried to get help from the newcoming Brits the Stafforshire Saints but that didn't work out so next up... he may call up family.

Fergus Storm will be kept down because of his Japanese duties. I plan on bringing in free agents now and then to give them work and put over guys. Toyozo Otani worked as the heel buffer in the face off between Storm & Fox.

Soul Brothers came in to give The Wolverines a good win.

Pierre Lejosne is by far start of the show.

I see GWS as being a hybrid between PWG & EVOLVE.

Going forward I'll probably book a year in advance.

Aside from the monthly Warfare events which will have a surname based on whatever nice hip hop album came out that year. We will have the 5 regular events for double-header weekends. I've also added Glorious Revolution which will happen every year around PWI's Night of Glory (ala Mania weekend). It's also our All-Star Weekend/biggest event(s) of the year.

GWS COLLAB will be a one night tag team tournament in May.

Anniversary show in July. Upcoming one is NUEVE.

And our BOLA is The Biggest Indy Tournament in the World three nights in October.

That's it.

23 events in total. Hopefully that's not so much that we go broke.

The Alliance vs. The Elite is comprised of: GCW (Australia), Great British Wrestling Federation (Britain), Great North Wrestling (Canada), Grupo Internacional de Lucha Libre (Mexico), International Wrestling Japan (Japan), Italian Wrestling Federation (Europe).

On that note, if you guys have Indy darlings I should bring in, let me know.

Had my GWS Glorious Revolution Night One & Night Two shows. I'd like for these to become our biggest show of the year. The intent will be to have them precede PWI's Night of Glory every year. If I could know where PWI would have it then I would have it there as well but obviously the game doesn't let you know and it's not like there's a crowd boost because of it (it's a must next game, isn't it?).

I was missing out on Fergus Storm for Night One again.

Larry Lightning made his GWS debut teaming with Sorensen in a loss against The Wolverines.

DISCO & Ray lost again. This time Ray took the pin and they argued who is the weaker guy on the team. DISCO dares him to put the Red Phoenix title on the line so cue in a match on Night Two.

Clement Lejosne came back with GNW Canadian Tag Team champion partner, Yves Lapoint to lose against Tony Ramos & Kevin Maxx for the Top Militia (see tag team) titles.

Graves defended the People's Representative title against Bloodus Draconia who is a IWJ International Openweight Champion and Brad Novacaine who is LWA Puerto Rican Regional Champ. Draconia was the sole challenger through the IWJ connection but Novacaine having just lost the vacant Club Championship match to Graves tries to get revenge by taking his People's Representative title.

Double heading main event had Staffordshire Saints beats Zanev's goons in Blaize & Domoine to redeem themselves.

Pierre Lejosne could not get the job done against Bear Zanev who got help from Sierra Rosario. Cue in Lejosne asking for a rematch in a cage on Night Two. It was MOTN with a C thanks to Lejosne being a boss.

--

Night Two is less exceptional. We did not have Staffordshire Saints, Fergus Storm, or Luke Graves.

Adrian Holly (generated wrestler still needing a render) beats Seung Zhi who injured himself. Showcase match.

Blaize & Domoine keep losing, this time to James O'Shea & Lord Simon Darcy, the ex-tag team champs.

DISCO unseated Ray Lisbon though they were joined by Erik Wayne (asked someone to stop him) and Dustin Henry (who pinned DISCO in a tag team match). So DISCO is the new Red Phoenix champ.

Tony Ramos won a #1 Contendership for People's Representative over partner Kevin Maxx, James Logan and Shannon Sorensen. Promises to break GWS's resident bad ass, Graves.

Pierre Lejosne overcomes Bear Zanev in the MOTN again © in a cage match to put a storybook end to this feud.

The way I see it, new year of wrestling starts now. I'm going to be cutting cost so Graves won't be resigned in 4 months when his contract expires. Erik Wayne has been released. We'll be sticking to small one time appearance signings and loans going forward. I envision having a sort of 10-12 man core roster and getting the other 6 or so through small short signings.

Finished #3/4 in the regional battle again.

-----------------------

If you had to pick someone to be Eddy Orion's Golden Lover partner, who would it be?! Not that I'm using him but still.

I'm about to get into a PWI save, it definitely reminds me of a American New Japan feel. Anyways I was wondering which personas fit with the Lothario Standard and The Awesome Faction. I see Lothario as the Fourhorsemen, Evolution type gimmick but I'm totally unsure of the Invading Awesome Faction and which persona fits their stable

The Anomaly is noted B)

Had two more shows. Tony Ramos & Luke Graves did not have chemistry sadly.

Pierre Lejosne who is by far the best guy on the show, especially with popular champion Luke Graves usually busy with Club and other good wrestler Fergus Storm busy with Honor... has signed with the Club. I don't want to change the day of the show so this essentially means that Lejosne will be missing from most of our cards and it kills my "give Lejosne the title and let Graves go" plans.

Ramos, newly released from GBWF Arran Lennox, and Bear Zanev are my top choices to take the helm.

Despite that, somehow finished 1st in regional battles thanks to a Pierre Lejosne vs. Arran Lennox C+ rated match. Story of it being Arran trying to redeem Staffordshire Saints in what he felt was a slight on Lejosne part replacing them with family in a 3 v 3 rematch against the Empire. Beat out FAW, Club & CWT. That's tough competition.

Signed on Torrian Day & Carmine Perotti for the next three months. See what they can do. There's a ton of easy talent to sign: Eddy Orion, Nathan Jordan, Alejandro Iglesias, Mattias Taylor, Shay Kinsella but I'm trying to avoid that and stay economic. Not rushing for growth.

Erik Van Rjin joined Kozue out for 1 year for UPJ. Wow. That'd be a fun game :) Oda Yamawaki also got injured for 2 1/2 months right as he won the Ozeki Summit. Their booker also retired to be replaced by a LETHAL announcer. They were getting too many A-rated matches anyway. They deserve it.

Core won the BOLA for AWF.

The IAF probably would be best suited as The Elite if you're comparing them. All 3 are intended to be brash, overly arrogant and cocky but able to back it up in the ring.

There's absolutely no reason for me to think this but I always just pictured Eli Morton as Brock Lesnar. But he's a Light Heavyweight so it doesn't really work out. Another option is australian Lawrence Hughes who is an MMA convert, supremely charismatic, menacing and has the SQ with a very good base to start.

If you're willing to put in the work I think 31 year old 100 SQ/100 menace Giant Kodoma could become that Strowman character you wanted but he has a bad history and I imagine he's not real easy to deal with. Hollywood Giant would probably be the better Strowman sub-in even if he feels more like Big Show than anything. Only 29, got that SQ/Menace combo and can wrestle decent. Leviathan is probably the youngest fitting option at 23 years old.

I usually have a lot of fun booking Eli in any PWI save. He's a favorite. I don't book him purely as Brock Lesnar, more like a slightly less ripped but more "hard-hitting" version of young Lesnar. Not the post-MMA version except in terms of the aura.

Great thing about Eli is he always seem to improve. In a few saves, I've given him regularly promo time and he's improved rapidly on the mic. His Psychology often hits A as well.
