Hello everyone and welcome to The (newly) Official ThunderVerse Thread !

 

 

What is The ThunderVerse ?

 

I guess everyone who played TEW2013 before know that mod, even those who are not fond of it and prefer the default CornellVerse.

For new players or those who just don't know it, it's an alternative gameworld created from A-Z on TEW2013, by a team of TEW fans who gave birth to a colorful universe full of zainy characters but somewhat closer to the real wrestling world than the CornellVerse.

 

The ThunderVerse Team created such a great game world that mister Adam Ryland himself gave them his seal of approval.

Nice to see this thread underway. Don't know when it will happen but so looking forward to a new edition of the ThunderVerse. It will absolutely be worth waiting for.

 

Haven't toyed around with Tverse Platinum converted over yet. Don't know if I will. Think the Cverse will keep me busy until we see a new version

The Thunderverse has ruined the Cornellverse for me, it's just too good. Struggling to cope, particularly looking forward to Vice because I think the TEW changes will really help make that brilliant.

My favorite thing about the Thunderverse is the consistent render style. It adds to the immersion of a fictional world when all the characters look like they belong to the same world. It also makes it easy to create my own renders when there is a process already in place.

Yeah, I'm excited for the Thunderverse. I'm not interested in just playing the converted data, but I'm really looking forward to seeing that mod stretch its legs in TEW2016.

 

There's enough new in the C-verse to keep me entertained until it comes out, though.

Thank you, Thunderverse is my favorite database on TEW... I bought '16 but I haven't been able to play yet as the C-verse feels really awkward right now with all the different render styles and stuff.

I hope I can make the conversion from 13 to 16 in a few days. If anyone has suggestions on how to make this transition better please post them

I'm glad to see some answer on this thread even though I should have wrote something about what happened on my first game.

 

So here is it :

 

Before beginning my game I just manually activated the "Weight Split" in some Puro companies, everything else on the database is the same.

 

My current player's character is Chase Paige as both the owner and the booker of American Women's Wrestling. (It's easy to say that Paige, with his huge financial back-up, could buy almost any company.)

 

I'm currently one year in (August 2015) and for now I didn't notice anything weird with the database.

Some datas like bodytype are missing and like I said in my introduction, biggest companies begin the game by doing a huge roster turnover and sign with multiple broadcasters due to the new broadcasting system but it already works just fine.

 

Timothy Hawk is obviously the Figurehead of AWF and Cesar Kaslow is a total douchebag so it's perfectly normal.

 

The only "big" change with AWW is that Mai-Li Easter/Kato isn't noted as an hidden gem at the beginning of the game.

 

Everything else seems in place.

 

Of course, one of the first thing I did was to create the "World Female Alliance" and to invite every womens only companies.

All Japan Joshi and Guererras Del Ring agreed to join us and we share the newly instated WFA World Title currently held by, you guess it, Jess Gilmour-Hart who is the 2nd champion.

 

The first one was GDR wrestler La Hija de la Felina Negra who won it against Kristina Perez. Of course, since there is only one champion, I invited her (note that, even if she's an unknown quantity in USA, she was automaticaly pushed as Main Eventer by the feature) and she lost it at her first defence.

Jess, who is also my AWW Champion and my Figurehead since her turn in her current storyline with WMD, currently defended the title 3 times. Twice against Bonnie Rain, one time in AWW and one time in AJJ, and once against Susie Van Zant. The title's prestige increased from 80 to 100 with only those 4 fights, firstly losing some of it in the first match in GDR.

 

 

I admit it I used the Auto-booking feature multiple times and I must say that this feature is booking shows better than I am...

Sure, it doesn't take anything into account, but even If I play the serie since TEW 2010 (I don't count EWR 4.2), I understood a lot of stuff I didn't get before.

This feature is the best thing ever for new players and veterans who only want to book Events and their storyline.

 

My current Top Five is as follow :

1 - Jess Gilmour-Hart (F)

2 - Jamilia Rose (F)

3 - Suzie Van Zant (F)

4 - Jamie Vann (The Club alumni) (H)

5 - WMD (H)

 

I already did a lot of hiring, my events now have a duration of 2h30, and my main problem is that my Upcard is full of Babyface. My n°3 Heel Candace Horne, who was an Upper-Midcarder, left my company for two months in order to train for a MMA Fight.

Thankfully, Gail Lothario just joined the in-game world and has been imediately noted as the n°1 hidden gem.

Guess who's gonna be pushed to the moon... or at least, she'll learn a lot from Jess Hart in all of their future fights and will hopefully become her protege, with help from my part.

 

Apart from Jess Hart, both AWW and Alliance champion, the tag team title is currently held by Georgia Shelby & Erin Ortega. Some of my upcarders told me that they see great things for Shelby, and the tag team title is her step for greater things.

The best thing is, Shelby and Ortega share a great chemistry while teaming so I guess, they'll be my n°1 Heel tag team from now on, The Queen of Chaos/Quebec being now splited.

 

 

Just to finish, I currently run those storylines (Face wrestler/tag team first) :

- Jess Gilmour-Hart vs WMD

- Team Blimchan vs Dark Desire (I'll add up Shelby and Ortega to this one)

- Nina "Disorder" Plaziat vs Chloe "Chaos" Bourel

- Alexia Dynamite vs Candace Horne

 

 

I didn't want it to be a diary, but like I said, everything seems in order with the imported database while we wait for the real thing.

 

I'm glad that it works fine because I honestly can't play with the C-Verse anymore.

 

The T-Verse is, IMO, easier to understand because a lot of characters can make us think of real life wrestlers. And the renders are nicer than in C-Verse, being more consistent.

 

I guess that's it for my current game with AWW.

Plus, the Thunderverse has a more robust women's wrestling scene, with more women wrestlers, more over women wrestlers and more companies with a women's division.

You'll be waiting a while for that, we're only converting and making Platinum as playable as possible in 2016 (whilst taking advantage of exciting areas like injury histories!) We've just not collectively had a lot of free time right now to work on things in 2016 hence why we've not got something out just now. Damn life. Always getting in the way!

MHero will say if I'm wrong but the first version of The ThunderVerse has been made on TEW2013 and the gameworld was set on January 2013.

However, compared to the last version of the database, there were less content and some areas were inactives. (The only areas availables were USA, Mexico and Japan.)

 

But the latest database is the ThunderVerse Platinum 1.03 set to begin in August 2014 with all areas availables, and that's the one I converted.

 

But for now, there is no official ThunderVerse Database for TEW2016.

They're apparently planning to release one set in January 2016 and a historical T-Verse mod. (ThunderVerse Vice)

This is not necessarily bad news, especially in the short term. Since I was such a latecomer to Thunderverse it means I can re-try some of my 2013 AWF madness with the new engine and not have to re-familiarize with everything. Very excited.

If you want to go puro. HONOR is my recommendation. Not top dog. But you've got Junior/Women/Heavyweights and a lot of great wrestlers (includign the best one in the entire game imo). The challenge of topping DIASPORA and UPJ is also there.</p><p> </p><p>

If you want women, I'd go with AMAZON but AWW is an equal option.</p><p> </p><p>

If you want Lucha, ILL is a great option, I believe they've got 10M in the bank and insane talent like Sultan/Incognito/White Panther Jr. who are some of the best in the entire game.</p><p> </p><p>

Not a lot of people are fans of Mexican wrestling but honestly, SOTBPW is the easiest starter fed in the CVerse and I would say that ILL is probably the easiest starter fed in the TVerse. You're in a favorable position. Great money. Great talent. And a product that allows you to dive into both angles and matches.</p>

Having a lot of fun playing HCG. Currently having Johnny Hollywood and Cloud James feud over the Hollywood Championship. Also hiring Donny Chic and KC Summer to boost up the tag and cruiserweight division.

<p>My first company is DRAGON. I've plotted out my Enter The DRAGON card so the shows before that are just building up to it. I was sad that I had to redo the card because content risk was too low so I have to create the same match in a "DRAGON" version and add constant risk to be 'low' instead of the default 'very low'. Wish you could do that right out of a match screen instead of recreating a new match everytime. I like 1hr shows because they're easy to book. I'd rather have 2 1hr shows a week instead of 1 2hr show a week. </p><p> </p><p>

First show beats out HCG despite the lesser production values. I was afraid forcing a Technical Masterclass + a Steal The Show/Car Crash/High Spots match might hurt me but it didn't. American DRAGON vs. Minor Threat is building off of the Dirty Ugly Scumbags vs. Generation Dragon feud. Jarid Hart vs. Alexi Petrov was more a chance for Jarid Hart to be showcased, and get a technical masterclass match in since Alexi isn't half bad at that. Jarid Hart, Nathan Noland and Talisman are three guys who will be kept strong and built up alongside Evan Kuja and Jung DRAGON who are already main eventers. They'll be my fab five if I ever hit National and if Jarid Hart doesn't break. </p><p> </p><p>

Curtis Swann vs. Air Xamayca was a more NXT type 'keep strong' match where Curtis Swann was made to look good against Air who is pretty much a jobber for me and a long way away from rising up the card. </p><p> </p><p>

Finally, main event was another continuation of DUS vs. Gen DRAG, this time with the Scumbags winning. Evan Kuja is on the rise and Kosmo took the fall. I would definitely love to do something with Kosmo and Jarid at some point. </p><p> </p><p>
