I'm changing things up a bit and running a local-sized promotion owned by 13TEEN, using EEP's product in the Southwest USA region.

 

It is by far the most fun I've ever had booking anything. I'm mostly using luchadors and putting them in hardcore/gimmick matches, with a couple of hardcore/brawler types in there to put on wild brawls. Sugarskull, Special FX (working as Soldado Estupendo, or Super Soldier), B Smooth, and Gold Phoenix are giving me B-grade matches in my main events, and guys like Super Azul are actually developing into decent talent.

 

The only real downside is that 13TEEN's personality is a cancer in the locker room, but still, I'm having such a good time with this, and the Thunderverse in general. I'll never use another mod, I don't think.

I've set it up in a league format, with Heavyweights, Juniors, Ladies and Tag Teams all getting their own standings.</p><p> </p><p>

A title win earns 7 points, a title defense earns 5 points, a regular win earns 3 points, a draw earns 1 point and a loss earns 0 points.</p><p> </p><p>

Champions start the tour with a 7 point advantage. In order for a wrestler to qualify as a title challenger, they must fall within 6 points of the champion, such that a win would make them the highest rated wrestler in the division.</p><p> </p><p>

At the end of the tour, the eight highest-scoring male wrestlers, heavyweight and junior, can compete in the Openweight Grand Prix.</p><p> </p><p>

Every time a wrestler or tag team wins a league match, if they are a member of a stable the stable also gets those points. In non-league, stable-vs-stable matches, only the stables and not the individual wrestlers get the points. Stablemates may, if mutually agreed upon, agree to take a draw instead of facing one another. Most do this, although Fergus Storm and every member of the Raging Gaijins insist on wrestling every single match.</p><p> </p><p>

At the end of the tour, a stable adds 25 points for every title it possesses, and 50 points if a member wins the Openweight Grand Prix. Being the winning stable is a matter of pride and honor.</p><p> </p><p>

We're running a spring and a fall tour, with tour dates Monday through Friday and a blow-off PPV on the last Sunday of the last month. It's a bruising schedule, but so far my wrestlers are managing. </p><p> </p><p>

I brought in a handful of touring wrestlers. Kris Phoenix, who aligned himself with SHAME, Alejandro Iglesias, The Guardians, Graham Mackenzie, Hell Cat, Sara Faust, June Black and Jack America. I also signed Gao Xi to a written deal.</p><p> </p><p>

It's kind of fun running a puro fed. Storylines are broken down along divisions, with some wrestlers competing in both tag and singles divisions. For lower card matches, I often let the road agent assign the outcome, figuring they'll do what's best for the match. So far, King's Road and SHAME are neck-and-neck for points, with the Raging Gaijins and Tokyo Wrecking Crew falling behind. Fergus Storm has captured the Junior Crown, which was the blow that finally brought SHAME up to King's Road's level. I'm playing that faction as a big deal, especially Storm himself.</p>

I use Iceisle's red skin with the mod myself. It goes pretty nicely.

Hey I want to thank the creators of this mod. I've never tried anything but real world mods, decided to give this a go and its a blast. I started as head booker with Ring of Destiny in Australia, and I'm about 3 months in, having a blast. Just bought the old CW: NZ Tag Titles (My owner's former promotion) and renamed them the RoD Tag Titles. Also brought in the "Omega" brothers (Australia's version of the Hardyz!), and am about to establish a nice little tag division on top of my World Title.

Really happy with this one. I've been struggling to get into a game for a while, but I started a GWS game last night, running one show a month, and I'm really enjoying it. An 82 rated Storm/Talisman match was my highest rated prior to this, and I haven't hit regional yet so I was pleasantly surprised when that popped up.

I'm new to the Thunderverse so I was wondering if someone could help me out. I wanted to start a puro company with heavy eye candy and heavy hardcore in it. I was wondering what area in the game has the most talent so I could start the company in that area. It seems to me that Japan and the USA have the most talent but I wanted to ask some more experienced members of the Thunderverse their opinions on this.

Japan and the US are your best bets to be honest. Maybe USA by a fraction of a hair.

If you are, then go with the US or go with Japan if you aren't.</p>

Does anyone else have an issue with the locker room of AWF? I have not even booked the first PPV and the moral is at 42 percent. Numerous drug users and nearly one backstage fight per show. Usually I would get rid of all drug users but that would include too many good and important workers...

Usually I would get rid of all drug users but that would include too many good and important workers...</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I was starting to get problems with that but quickly squashed that problem by doing the following</p><p> 1. the moment i found a second steroid user i set the drug testing to low level. gonna deal with that problem when backstage can afford it and on my time(so testing the ones when i want.</p><p> 2. turned of a lot of the backstage rules like 3 hour/ no smoking and gave them a massuse and chiropractor.</p><p> 3. Give everyone that is important and unhappy at the the start a big bonus and post pvp talks to make them happy again</p><p> </p><p> my backstage is now around 85% and almost all the backstage rules are back where they started. when that is done im going to tackle the steroid/drug problem without completly destroing the backstage.</p>

I downloaded earlier today. It's such a huge world. I have no idea where to start! The bios are so in depth. I've spent most of time just reading the bios. Very, very interesting.

I prefer those type of promotions but it doesn't have to be one of them. I want to get into the Thunderverse because of the amount of detail in it but I haven't been able to find a company that I can get into.

PWSUX & ATW are great fun if you've any interest in a hardcore company - PWSUX has bags of character even though they've been raided of their best workers on more than one occasion . I've been having a lot of fun with GWS recently too, they might be worth a try as a smaller per>pop company.
