<p>I'm playing AWF as a booker and my owner goals said I had to push Theo Barkley. I made him a belt collector, as I had no other idea for him. He already captured Merenges Television Title (who I got shortly ridd off afterwards) and El Ángel and I'm planning on him beating Derrick Rollins for the United States belt as well.</p><p> </p><p>

Have you ever done something interesting with Theo Barkley succesfull and have some tipps how to use him?</p>

And even Hawk and Dolla aren't a guaranteed lock for a B or greater. And this is with angles playing to strengths, so guys like Cross talking and guys like Core being menacing.</p>

<p>Yeah keeping the storylines above B- is a pretty hustle.</p><p> </p><p>

I've passed the first ppv and my current storylines are:</p><p> </p><p>

Immortal Warrior vs Vincent I Parker = B</p><p>

Derrick Rollins vs Garrett South = B-</p><p>

Jean Claude Giroux vs Patriot = B</p><p>

Core vs Cross = B</p><p>

Silva Dolla & Tyrannus vs Timothy Hawk = B</p><p>

Alexis vs Jess Hart vs Mai-Li Kato vs Rosa = C-</p><p> </p><p>

But to be honest: I have no clue right now where which storyline is heading^^</p>

<p>The AWF is without a doubt my favorite promotion in all of the Thunderverse because of its potential for storytelling. It also has always kept me coming back to it with new ideas and new ways to tackle old ones. Hell, even though my computer went down a month ago and I'm currently unable to access TEW, I'm still booking ideas for what I'd like to the do the moment I have a new laptop.</p><p> </p><p>

For example, earlier today I just finished writing up what I'd like to do for New Year, No Limits, with the main focus being kept on establishing certain guys, storylines and overall tone of things for the next few months. For example, Silva Dolla is beating Patriot to establish himself as Champion and boss of his new faction while Hawk is going over Mountain Albert to establish himself as a threat to the Dolla Club and a return to form after a pretty bad second half of 2015 both in and out of kayfabe.</p><p> </p><p>

Card is as follows:</p><p> </p><p>

-Patriot vs Silva Dolla for the WC</p><p>

-Hawk vs Albert</p><p>

-The Specialists vs ALPHA</p><p>

-El Angel vs Jean-Claude Giroux for the TDB</p><p>

-Alexis vs Jazz vs Dana vs Megan</p><p>

-Rollins vs South for the US title in a Falls Count Anywhere match</p><p>

-Justice/Croaky vs Joe Havana and a debuting Alejandro Iglesias</p><p> </p><p>

And a pre-match battle royal that'll see Mo Fury come out the winner and No. 1 Contender for the US title.</p>

Make the last segment of the show that involves this storyline something that Jean-Claude Giroux is carrying. Say for example, have Giroux doing an interview backstage about their earlier encounter or something simple like that. He's most likely to grade high with Patriot off-screen and not being rated. Hawk/Dolla/Giroux/Towerblock/Albert/Warrior are probably the best guys to carry segments starting off so you should probably rely on them to keep your storyline grades up.</p>

Another easy trick is to cross over storylines. WWF did this all the time in the Attitude Era. If your main two stories are Hawk-Dolla and Giroux-Patriot... have a TV main event of Hawk & Patriot vs Dolla & Giroux. Show ends with a brawl. Easy A grade. Both storylines benefit.

So, what's the history for AFW's Trillion Dollar belt?

Seems like a belt that should be on Silva Dollar, and not El Angel...

I asked the same question (the page before), seems there is no canon story for it besides that AWFs former owner introduced it.

Maybe someone might correct me here

MHero might have something to offer as he was a lot more involved in ThunderVerse creation than I. But I do did some digging and the genesis of the idea for the belt was as a belt with purely financial motivations for the wrestler. Basically, the wrestler is getting money for holding it. Not in the normal way a champion gets a bigger payday by being higher on the card, etc. Just literally getting like $25K per week - kayfabe, not real payout. I don't find the idea evolving from that original suggestion. Unfortunately, there really isn't a way to explain that in game as belts don't have bios.

I dig it. It fits with a dynamic I tend to use with the AWF, which evolved from some diary ideas. Basically, I think there would be a lot of anti-AWF wrestling fans and one of the biggest complaints would be that its a "fake" company built on the ashes of the WWWE and on the wallet of a billionaier fanboy. Not that the WWWE strikes me as a company with a great deal of integrity and soul, but fans aren't always logical lol. The AWF being built with former-WWWE talent just reinforces that. It contrasts the growth of PWI, which is a more organic and "real" company. So the AWF would be labelled as a soulless, "fake" company built on dirty money by those fans who dislike it. Obviously, its grown past the point where WWWE stars were there just for the payday, but once some of those dynamics are established, some people won't let them go. All that said, I also like the thought of the AWF brass recognizing it and in some ways, embracing it. Finding different ways to make money an on-screen motivator. this belts fits with that dynamic really nicely.

Decided to give this a try for AWF - yes, once again giving them a shot - and it worked wonders. A Dolla/Hawk/Core/Cross brawl to end my show got a 92. It seems like show rating wise, the hard bit will be getting that main event into B+ territory.

Signed to dev:

RD King

Dante Laff

Ace Smith

Xero

Travis Stine

Nathan Jordan

Mike Frobel

Leviathan

Harmony Nolen

Caleb Adonis

Signed to main roster:

Jess Hart

Those are all the immediate signings I'm doing. Once again trying to keep things simple and just winging it for booking mostly instead of the heavy planning I usually lean on.

A part of me hates having sex appeal-based division but you can get really solid grades with them. I get easy 70s with a 7-minute womens division match. I'm curious as to if I can get into B+ territory with a sex appeal based match. I'm bringing in Jess Hart to anchor the division nevertheless.

Only time decline guys at the moment are: Jean-Claude Giroux (:() and Marshall Law which means Immortal Warrior & Towerblock are still in prime.

Adrienne is actually amazing btw, definitely make use of her. She's an A for segments and if you use her in the Starlets division, she gets 90s in Eye Candy based matches thanks to that insane pop and sex appeal.

Also for Theo Barkley I gave him the Trillion Dollar Belt. I'll have him be increasingly lavish from week to week, and grow into an MVP-esque character.

But... the belt has to be defended every PPV in a mutli-man match. Winner gets the belt, plus a $20k payout. Makes regular changes a given. Gives a legit and logical reason that the lower card talent would all be chasing it all the time, even though its a lowly belt.</p>

I love booking AWF but I was kind off having a bad time with getting storyline heat, mainly because I was pushing Tyrannus at the top of the card, except of course for Cross vs. Core which has been going on for 2 years and will end at the season finale for the World Title can't wait. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Well I'm three Shockwaves in and holding steady, so thanks for the suggestion on keeping my grades up. Core/Cross has been something of a disappointment on its own but combo'd with Hawk/Dolla it does OK. I also have Giroux, and his new faction The Jet Set, feuding with Immortal Warrior. And VIP has returned to the company and will feud with Patriot.

Eye candy matches do wonders for the Starlets division ratings. I'm hoping to beef up their popularity so eventually I can let them cut loose and wrestle for real. Hell Cat is NOT happy about doing eye candy matches.

<p>I dropped eye Candy immediatley. I have a storyline including my most important Starlets and they are running good since Adrienne is joining the division (Giroux and her are having a bad chemistry).</p><p> </p><p>

Core/Cross is not doing great with me. I have no idea where to go with the Storyline. Any ideas?</p><p> </p><p>

edit: since I still have the same backstage issues since day one (my rating is right now close to 50%) and bonuses won't work (nearly spent 1.5 Mil on bonuses) I wonder: who did you succesfully meddle in AWF? The only firends I've created were Casey Skym and Immortal Warrior</p>

That was part of why I figured it would be good to switch it to a touring schedule. More shows. </p><p> </p><p> Eye-candy matches honestly go against my preferences in a big way. But they are awful potent, and I figure I can convert them to be more serious wrestling as time goes on.</p>

I really start diggin the ThunderVerse and enjoy playin AWF. Only the backstage morale is in the dumps and is bothering me. Bonuses are killing my financial situation and it's like I'm losing 5% per week.

Who are easy to meddle to friends? I only managed to create a strong friendship between Immortal Warrior and Casey Skym.

Its not that individuals are "easier" to get to become friends. Meddling is fairly random. It does seem to work better if they are at a similar popularity level - always seem to have better success with two lower card workers or two upper card talent than a lower card and a main eventer. And obviously, it makes more sense to target more positive personality types.
