Anyone good with text?

Recommended Posts

I've done a thing.

Normally I'm bad at things, but I quite like this one. Except it doesn't have any text.

I'm REALLY bad at text. I've literally been trying to make it not look crap for the last hour, and... nope.

What I'm after, if someone would be willing, is for the word "LION" to be at the bottom, similar to Kamchatka's 21CW logo here, in big blocky text. I wouldn't, y'know, be devestated if it ended up looking something like this (although with a capital I). ¬_¬ I'm thinking small black border, bigger blue border, then fiery orange/red/yellow in the middle, to match the rest of the logo. But if you think that'd look crap and want to go your own way, feel free.

Curved around the top (NO idea how to do that... I've watched tutorials, but it just doesn't work when I do it :p) I'd like "Pro Wrestling LION". Similar to the BCG logo that I haven't in any way borrowed any inspiration from. If you want to do some fancy pattern stuff around the bottom I wouldn't be heartbroken either, but that's something I could mess around with myself later.

Many thanks to anyone who wants to help out.

Edit: I guess I'd help if I uploaded the .xcf file, huh.

Something like this?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/36is2jdtbgq2zyq/LION.psd?dl=0

Also you can export as .psd in gimp if you choose export as instead of save as, then there's a ton of extensions to export as, including psd.

And this file is psd cause I did in photoshop, but gimp opens psd files anyways. Because it's freeware and open source and all that.

Really like what you did with the logo raaecl. Could use a bit of attention to the edges of the circle and text, just to round them out to not look somewhat rough perhaps from the conversion of file types multiple times? Different programs and save paths, etc.

Might not even be noticeable in a smaller logo format now that I think about it. Either way great job on both logos guys! Even the original is really well done.

However, you can export any image that you create in a variety of formats and save it to your desktop. Not sure if that is relevant.

You can export any file to any format. Saving it puts it as .xcf, which is helpful to save as separate layers.
