[smackdown opens with Shane McMahon addressing security guards who are stationed at the entrance to the building. He tells them that Roman Reigns is permitted to enter the building and so are his cousins but if anyone else from Raw arrives, do not let them into the building. The guards say they understand. Shane walks away looking like he knows a fight is coming tonight.]

[The new Smackdown opening video airs which features the new stars of Smackdown. Once that is concluded, the screen cuts to the entrance way where Sami Zayn’s music begins. The crowd comes alive as Sami opens Smackdown in one on one action.]

Viktor tries to keep Sami grounded and tries to slow down the match but after a few minutes Sami is able to take charge. He starts wearing out Viktor and it isn’t long before the Blue Thunder Bomb has been dropped and Sami gets a convincing 3 count.

[Following the match, Kevin Owens comes out and jumps Sami from behind. This attack brings out Dolph Ziggler who runs down to help Zayn. Owens backs out of the ring and retreats while Dolph checks on Sami.]

[smackdown returns and we see Dolph helping Sami into the trainer’s room. As they do they pass Chris Jericho who sneers at the two. Suddenly Kevin Owens attacks Dolph and Sami from behind and Jericho is there helping. Officials race to the area and finally separate the four. ]

[Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves finally welcome us to a chaotic Smackdown only 3 days away from WWE Extreme Rules and where tonight WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, has promised to invade Smackdown and confront AJ Styles. They take us back to Raw and show The Club’s attack on Roman and his threatening response. They wonder what will happen if Reigns makes good on his threat here tonight.]

[Announcers show us Jericho’s involvement in the brutal attack on Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler earlier tonight.]

Sandow and Jericho have a real back and forth encounter. This match has a commercial break in the middle of the action and when we come back Jericho is kicking out of a close two count. Sandow goes for a drop kick but Jericho reverses that into the Walls of Jericho. Sandow struggles to get to the ropes and nearly does so but Jericho pulls him back into the ring and locks tighter on the submission hold. Sandow crawls desperately toward the ropes again and reaches out. Just as he is inches away from grabbing the ropes, Jericho leans back further and Sandow can’t take the pain and taps out.

Winner: Chris Jericho

[Following Jericho’s win, Dolph Ziggler rushes out to the ring and attacks Jericho. Officials flood the ring and break the two up.]

Becky and Emma trade control early before Becky starts taking charge. She drops a running leg drop for a two count. She hits a calf kick onto Emma but that sends Emma to the floor. Down on the floor Dana distracts Becky and Emma is able to throw Becky into the ring steps. This brings out Sasha Banks who prevents Dana from further interfering. Emma throws Becky in the ring but when she comes in she is hit with a T-Bone suplex. Becky covers but again only gets two. Dana gets on the ring apron and Becky goes to her but Sasha is there pulling Dana off. As Becky watches them fight Emma comes from behind and rolls up Becky and holds her tights for the 1..2..3.

Winner: Emma

[shane McMahon enters Roman Reigns’ locker room and tells him that he allowed Roman to be here tonight, with back up, because he understands that Roman wants some payback from what The Club did on Raw. He respects that Roman is a man and that he wants to settle this like a man but the time to do this is this Sunday at Extreme Rules. The time is not tonight. Shane tells Roman, straight up, that he will not ruin the main event of Extreme Rules and that Shane will not allow AJ and Roman to come to blows tonight. Shane asks if he is understood but Roman just glares at him and Shane backs off and leaves the room.]

[bo Dallas comes out with some determination given how tough his challenge to Dolph was last week but it is clear early on that Baron is too much for him. Corbin powerbombs Bo but cant put him away. Corbin drops Bo with the End of Days and that does it. ]

[Following the match, Bo starts to get back up. Corbin sees this and drops him with the End of Days again. Corbin leaves the ring and heads to the back but he sees on the Titantron that Dallas is pulling himself up again refusing to not stand. Corbin comes back into the ring and prepares to hit Dallas with the End of Days again but instead he gets a look of almost respect and lets him go. Corbin leaves the ring and Dallas pulls himself up standing like a man.]

[smackdown returns and a video airs of a beach in beautiful waters with text that says Monte Carlo, Monaco. The video captures Tyler Breeze sipping champagne by a pool saying he is taking a break from the rigors of being a globetrotting super model. He admits that he needed to go back to the world that loves him and regroup following some not so pretty moments in the WWE but warns that he is almost ready to return. He has found himself once more and soon, very soon, the new era of being gorgeous will begin on Smackdown.]

Natayla mouths “watch this Charlotte” as she comes out. Summer attacks Natayla right from the start but very quickly Nattie gets control and never lets up. Soon, Summer is forced to tap out to the Sharpshooter in a clear victory for the challenger of the Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules.

[Following the win Ric Flair comes out and Natayla prepares to fight off The Nature Boy. What she doesn’t see is Charlotte coming from the crowd and sliding into the ring behind Nattie. Charlotte charges and hits Natayla with the Women’s Championship and drops the challenger. With Flair mocking, Charlotte locks in the Figure Eight as Natayla screams in agony. Finally, Charlotte lets go and stands over Natayla’s body raising her championship high as Ric Flair bows to his daughter. ]

[smackdown returns and AJ storms into the locker room where Anderson and Gallows are getting dressed for tonight's match. He demands to know why they attacked Roman Reigns on Monday. Anderson says because they're family. AJ replies that is crap. They don't believe that AJ can beat Roman this Sunday at Extreme Rules. But get it through their heads..."I. Will. Do. This. On. My. Own."

This infuriates Gallows who stands up and screams "Do you think Roman will do it on his own? Do you think Stephanie McMahon will allow you to beat their precious champion, huh? How many times has Roman sent his idiot cousins after you? They cost you the title at Payback! This is a war and its not some lame ass Raw vs Smackdown war, this is a war between the WWE corporate view of "Sports Entertainment" and us - the actual pro wrestlers. Think about it, AJ, this is what we came here to do. We want to change things for every single person that was not given a chance in this company and for every single indy company out there. That's why we came here, man. And do you think Stephanie and Vince and Triple H and their nepotism is going to let you succeed or fall on your own merit? Look who Roman is related to..thats why he has that title. The Uso's would be laughed out of New Japan but they're stars here because of whose blood they share. That is what this is about. You are the change this industry needs and I'll be damned if we will let them screw you over without fighting back."

AJ stops seething a bit. Anderson tells him that whether he likes it or not, The Club is family, The Club is forever and they will go to war by his side. And Roman Reigns may make good on his threat tonight but if he shows up..AJ is not fighting alone. AJ thinks it over and gives the Wolfpac sign to Anderson and Gallows. The Club exit the locker room for their match but AJ is there still clearly uneasy.]

This match starts with Dolph and Henry using Henry’s power and Dolph’s speed to keep Anderson and Gallows off their heels. But just before a commercial break, Gallows boots Dolph to the face and the Club take control. When Smackdown returns from commercial Anderson and Gallows have cut Dolph off from Henry who is now desperate to get into the ring, but they get over confident as Anderson tries a clothesline and Dolph backdrops him over the ropes. Dolph crawls to Henry and makes the tag just as Gallows enters the match. Henry and Gallows go after each other and Henry hits the World’s Strongest Slam. 1…2…broken up by Anderson. The Club start double teaming Henry and this brings Dolph back into the ring and soon he and Anderson are on the floor. Anderson throws Dolph head first into the ring post. With Dolph down, Gallows lifts Henry up and he and Anderson deliver the Magic Killer for the 1..2..3.

Winners: The Club

[The Club begins to celebrate their victory when Roman Reigns' music hits. They look around and see Roman entering through the crowd. Anderson and Gallows have their attention on the champion, ready to fight, and dont see The Uso's coming from the other side of the arena also through the crowd. Roman's cousins make it to the ring first as Roman distracts The Club and they attack. Roman rushes the ring and joins in and The Club is out numbered.

Suddenly, AJ Styles runs out and gets into the ring and makes a beeline for Roman Reigns. The Club is brawling with The Uso's, AJ is brawling with Reigns. All hell has broken loose and Shane McMahon comes out with about every backstage personnel on Smackdown and they flood the ring. After a few minutes of chaos, order seems to be restored and Shane gets on the mic. He tells all six men to stand down and that he will not allow anything to jeopardize the main event of Extreme Rules. This is his show and he will keep order now everyone leave this rin.......

Stephanie McMahon's music hits and Shane looks surprised as somehow Raw's showrunner has gotten into the building. She comes out with a smirk on her face and walks right into the ring. Shane warns her but she puts her hands up and says Shane has nothing to worry about. Stephanie walks right over to AJ Styles and gets in his face and with a look of pure hatred in her eyes, she raises her hand...turns around...and slaps her brother hard in the face.

Shane is stunned and furious and Stephanie quickly bails from the ring just as The Club goes after The Uso's again. Shane has his security separate the four and drag them to the back. Left alone in the ring is AJ and Roman, AJ has the belt in his hands and teases hitting Roman from behind, who is watching the carnage, instead AJ simply hands him the belt and says "three more days". AJ and Roman come face to face as Smackdown goes off the air.]

News of the Ring

-Rick Steiner announced his official retirement this week.

-Christian’s appearance on NXT will not be a one-off. It appears he is the steady color commentator for the show going forward

-Negotiations continue between WWE and NBC Universal. While no details are public at this time Smackdown is reportedly at the heart of the talks.

-Erick Rowan was injured this week in a non-televised event suffering a painful Anterior Interosseous Syndrome which deals with nerve damage. He’s earning major respect backstage for working through this condition which could last for a year.

-Enzo Amore is about a month away from a return.

-Sheamus caused a minor stir backstage when he boasted a bit too much about his salary. Reportedly his punishment was negligible.

-John Cena’s return tomorrow night will end the show.

-POP TV has changed Impact Wrestling’s timeslot from prime time to late night.

-Two color commentators for up and coming companies are out the door as Vampiro has left Lucha Underground and Steve Corino is gone from ROH.

He hits not 1, not 2, but 3 End of Days onto Ziggler on the floor of the arena. Confusion reigns as officials rush to Dolph's aide and get Corbin out of the arena area. Shane McMahon comes out and announces that the match will continue now as a triple threat match. Dolph is stretchered out of the arena and immediately Owens and Jericho start double teaming Sami. Back in the ring Owens and Jericho work as a well oiled machine destroying Sami Zayn. Owens hits the Pop Up Powerbomb and picks Sami up so that Jericho can hit the code breaker. Jericho covers but, again, Owens breaks it up. He screams at Chris that it is he who will pin Sami and Jericho allows him to do so. Owens covers...1....2....Sami Zayn kicks out. Jericho calls Owens a "big idiot" and the two start trading blows and get near falls on each other, completely forgetting about Sami Zayn. Suddenly Jericho and Kevin are both taken out by Sami who leaps off the top tope in a twisting plancha. Sami hits the Leg Lariat onto Jericho and backdrops Kevin Owens to the floor. A suicide dive onto Owens takes out KO and Jericho hits the Codebreaker when Sami gets back into the ring..1...2..Sami kicks out again. Sami finally locks in the Sit Out Powerbomb onto Jericho and covers 1...2..Owens is in the ring and breaks it up. Finally he drops the Miz onto his back and cracks his neck to signal for his finisher when Maryse climbs to the apron, screaming in French. Cesaro and referee both look in her direction, allowing the Miz to hit a low blow and attempted small cradle on Cesaro but the Swiss Superman blocks it, and uses his sheer power to lift the Miz off the ground, shifting him up to his right shoulder and delivers a running powerslam which puts the Miz down for the 1-2-3. Eventually the referee gets control but in trying to push the babyfaces into their corners, Emma and Dana double team Sasha behind the referee's back. Soon the two have cut the ring off and began taking The Boss apart. Every time she gets close to making a tag to Becky, Dana or Emma prevents the tag from happening. Emma locks in the Emma-Lock onto Sasha who refuses to quit and finally gets to the ropes but Emma won’t let go. Becky charges in and the ref forces her back out and misses Dana and Emma dropping Sasha with a double brainbuster. Dana covers and gets a close 2 count. Dana starts using power moves to try to break Sasha but she makes a huge mistake when she tries a missle drop kick and Sasha sidesteps it. Sasha hits Dana with a German suplex and crawls to Becky Lynch. Sasha finally tags in her partner and Becky comes in and cleans house sending Dana to the floor and dragging Emma into the ring. Becky destroys Emma with a T-Bone Suplex and locks in The Four Legged Clover but Emma is not the legal woman. Dana comes in and drops a leg drop onto Becky which hurts the Lass Kicker. Sasha runs in and attacks and soon all four women are brawling once more. Emma climbs the ropes and Becky goes after her for a superplex but Dana is also up there trying to German Becky. Sasha comes in and powerbombs Dana which sends all the competitors crashing to the mat. With Dana and Emma down, Sasha drags Becky into their corner, gets on the apron and has her tag back out. Sasha throws Emma out of the ring, locks in the Banks Statement and Dana has no choice but to tap out. He quickly makes the cover and the Usos are eliminated. Now it’s down to two teams and they battle back and forth for several minutes but finally the New Day put it together and have Bubba flat on his back. Charlotte is smug and arrogant and is caught on camera telling Nattie that Charlotte is her queen. With that, Natayla slaps Charlotte in the face and decks her and the fight is on. Natayla begins by opening up a dominant effort on the champion with several near fall pin attempts. Natayla goes for the Sharpshooter early and Charlotte kicks her into the cage and takes over the match. She levels Natayla with a series of suplexes and ends with a Northern Lights Bridge Suplex for a two count. Both women are producing scientific wrestling clinic for the first six or seven minutes but then Charlotte gives a receipt by slapping Natayla so hard in the face that a red mark can be seen on her cheek and that sets Nattie off. Soon, a brawl has started and Charlotte is trying desperately to scramble up the cage to get away. Each time Natayla brings her back into the ring and starts dominating the champion once again. Natayla hits an exploding powerslam onto Charlotte and goes for a pin for another two count. Nattie drops the champ with a DDT and decides to climb the cage and end this match but as she gets to the top Ric Flair has climbed up and is blocking her from getting down. This gives Charlotte time to climb up after Natalya and hit her from behind with the challenger sitting on the cage. Charlotte grabs Natayla and suplexes' Natayla from the top of the cage to the mat below taking both women out in the process. The champion crawls over to the fallen challenger and covers...1...2...Natayla kicks out at the last moment. Charlotte screams "this is over" and goes for the Figure Eight but Natayla rolls Charlotte into a small package. 1....2....the Champion kicks out. Nattie rams Charlotte into the cage multiple times and hits a Death Valley Driver onto the Champion for a 2 count. Charlotte goes for the Figure Eight and this time she locks it in with Nattie screaming in pain. Natayla nearly taps out but she refuses to do so and Charlotte lets go and grabs Nattie by the hair pulling her to her feet. Natayla uses that moment to drop Charlotte with a DDT. Natayla climbs the cage and, again Flair is blocking her. Natayla gets back into the ring and bows to the Nature Boy telling him "now she'll suffer" and locks on the Sharpshooter onto Charlotte. Charlotte is screaming in pain and begging for her father's help. Flair runs to the referee outside the ring and begs for him to open the door. The referee refuses to do so leaving Ric helpless. Charlotte finally reverses out of the hold and with a look of respect, Natayla comes over to the champ and picks her up. She goes for a german suplex but Charlotte reverses it into a victory roll for the 1...2...3.] Ric rushes into the cage with the championship and gives it to Charlotte who escapes with a look that tells the tale of how lucky she was to get a quick pinfall. Natayla is in the ring with tears in her eyes staring as Charlotte and Ric back up the ramp having won a match they damned near lost. Ambrose uses everything but the kitchen sink battering Ryback around and back onto ramp. He hits Dirty Deeds on the ramp but Ryback gets up at eight, still a little shaky. He regains the advantage and beats Ambrose around the ring, climbing onto the RAW announcer’s desk, and hoists him up for a Shell Shock but Ambrose wiggles out, knees Ryback below the belt, then hits Dirty Deeds again but the table doesn’t break. Ryback looks out of it, and Ambrose gets that crazy look. He rolls off the table and goes digging below the ring before pulling out a ladder. He shakes his head, tossing the ladder away and pulling out another, this one a little taller…he throws it way again. Third time is the charm as he pulls out a twenty foot ladder. He climbs to the top, sitting atop it and gives the crowd a smirk and a shrug as he jumps off and plants an elbow in Ryback’s chest sending them both through the table. The referee begins to count and just as he gets to nine, Ambrose pulls himself up into JBL’s chair which is good enough for the referee to count Ryback down for ten. They fight around ringside and Reigns begins to get the upper hand until he tries a Superman Punch and Styles moves, causing Reigns to punch the ring post, and immediately grab for his hand. Styles goes on the offense battering the champion with everything he has. As the action goes back into the ring, Styles measures Reigns with a Pele kick, then quickly hits the Styles Clash for a very close two count. He can’t believe it but quickly the challenger refocuses, knowing what he has to do. He goes to the outside for the Phenomenal Forearm but when he launches Reigns hits a Superman Punch at the same time and both men are down. It shows how AJ Styles almost defeated Roman Reigns and how AJ was distracted by telling The Club to leave and, as a result, ended up eating a spear and AJ’s handshake with Roman. It cuts to Raw and Stephanie McMahon’s gloating and announcement of the big return of John Cena. While her remarks are heard, images of Cena’s accomplishments are flashed before the screen. The confetti and balloons are seen flying around Raw’s ringside and then the music abruptly cuts and we see the video of Cena and Shane announcing that Smackdown has staged a coup and John Cena will debut tonight. The video ends with Stephanie’s tantrum super imposed over a smiling picture of Shane McMahon.]

[shane McMahon comes down the ring and he is carrying a Halliburton briefcase. Shane looks proud and confident as he shakes the hands of various Smackdown stars and enters the ring. Everyone’s eyes are on Shane O’Mac as he takes the microphone.

Shane welcomes us to Smackdown and tells us that even though one would think that Smackdown losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship would be a crushing defeat, Shane thinks of it as an opportunity. He congratulates Roman Reigns, a champion that Raw and WWE itself can be proud of, on his victory. He is proud of AJ Styles for competing in that match the right way and for taking his loss like a man. And he is excited for what will begin here tonight.

In Shane’s hands is a championship that is regarded the world over as *THE* World Championship. Contrary to Vince McMahon and WWE’s rewriting of history, it is not the WWE Championship that has been the most coveted prize in this industry. Owens starts out trying to survive the two big men but soon they get rid of him and start going at it themselves. Crews gets several near falls on Henry before Owens is back in it. He starts taking down Henry and Crews at the same time but soon Henry has gained control and soon delivers a Worlds Strongest Slam to Crews. He goes for a cover but Owens yanks him away and soon Henry is charging and Owens drops down and Henry flies over the ropes. Crews is behind him and whips Owens to the ropes but KO reverses it..hits the Pop Up Powerbomb and gets the 3 count just as Henry was getting back in.

Winner: Kevin Owens

Dallas and Zack end up having a very competitive match with multiple near falls. The fans, initially skeptical, even start to cheer for both men. Finally, Zack hits the Rough-Rider and nearly gets a three count but Bo kicks out. Bo ducks under a clothesline and hits a small package and gets a surprising 3 count after a very hard fought match.

[bo Dallas celebrates like he just won the Olympics. He reaches down and helps Zack up who seems like he might be mad, but then hugs Dallas and shakes his hand. Bo has legit tears in his eyes as he gets his first win on Smackdown.]

Graves tells Corbin that even Corey Graves thinks he went too far and Corbin says “ask me if I care”. Corbin told the world that it wasn’t over with Dolph and he is a man of his word. And now that Dolph Ziggler is lying in a hospital bed somewhere and now that he knows that he should not have messed with Baron Corbin…it can finally be over. Because Corbin has bigger goals and he has some breaking news…Shane McMahon just called him to tell him that Baron Corbin will be in next week’s Triple Threat Match and when he wins that match, he will go on to become the World Heavyweight Champion and it will be the End of Days for Smackdown.]

This match is a balance between Aiden trying to keep Kalisto grounded and the Lucha star going all over the place. The match is fast and exciting. The finish comes when Aiden goes for a belly to belly but Kalisto rolls out of it and hits the Salina Del So for the 1..2..3.

[As Kalisto celebrates, a man in a ski mask jumps over the barricade and into the ring and attacks Kalisto from behind. This man stomps Kalisto to the ground before hitting him with a brainbuster and a corkscrew neckbreaker on Kalisto. Officials rush to the ring and the masked man runs out and through the crowd as trainers check on Kalisto.]

The Club shows the clips again of Extreme Rules and asks AJ what the hell was he thinking? They had their shot to save this industry from the McMahons rule and to chart a new course and AJ blew it. Why? Why would AJ destroy all that they had built?

AJ tells them that he has been telling them for weeks that he has to rise or fall on his own. Karl and Luke are his best friends but AJ made it clear that he would compete in that match, on his own, like a man. And then “you two just had to stick your noses in it and what happened? Huh? You cost me the match. You are walking around here looking for someone to blame? Well look in the mirror. You ruined our ‘new course’”

The Club tells AJ that his head has gotten too big since he has become a “WWE Superstar” and that maybe he needs to know just how important his friends are. “So if you don’t want our help…that’s fine, see how you do on Smackdown without us.”

The Club drop their mics and walk away with AJ glaring at them.

Becky says that as much as it pains her to admit, Charlotte is right. No one thought that Charlotte would prevail in a Steel Cage Match. Luck was on her side that night but some day that luck will run out. And perhaps tonight is that night and perhaps we should see about that. Charlotte tells Becky that is cute but she is not dressed to fight and besides she doesn’t make the matches anyway.

This brings out Shane McMahon.

Shane says that is true Becky doesn’t make the matches…but Shane does. And he thinks a match right now is a terrific idea. So our Smackdown main event is now official: Becky Lynch vs Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship. Lets get a referee down here.

Charlotte is still in her street clothes and is shrieking at Shane who walks to the back as Becky charges. The bell rings and Becky goes right after Charlotte dropping her with several European Uppercuts. She does a savate kick that sends Charlotte reeling to the floor and into the company of her father. They bail and start to leave when Sasha Banks comes from the back and blocks their entrance. Charlotte has no choice but to go back into the ring.

Smackdown goes to commercial at that and when they come back, Becky is throwing Charlotte around with a variety of suplexes and gets a two count. She locks in the Four Leg Clover and Charlotte is crawling desperately to get to the ropes. She does so and Becky charges her but is thrown to the floor as Charlotte, again, tries to flee but Sasha is still there and throws her back in the ring. Becky is back in the ring and hits a Exploder Suplex and locks in the Dis-Arm-Her. Charlotte is screaming and about to tap out when Ric Flair pulls the referee from the ring and decks him cold. The referee gets up and has no choice but to ring the bell disqualifying the Women’s Championship.

Winner by Disqualification: Becky Lynch

In the ring, Charlotte is stuck between Sasha and Becky and just as they both go to attack her, she ducks and they end up punching each other. Charlotte bails from the ring and retreats with her father who is clutching her championship, Sasha and Becky are screaming at Charlotte that she will one day pay.

[John Cena comes out to the ring. He says that he is so happy to be back in the WWE but he is happier to be part of this new era on Smackdown. Cena talks about his 14 year history in this company and about his relationship with Shane McMahon. He said he could’ve gone to the “devil he knew” with Stephanie and the Authority but instead he went for opportunity and for excitement and to show the world that the face that runs this place can swim with the sharks of this new era. He chose Smackdown because Shane McMahon will provide opportunity for young and hungry and up and coming stars.

He chose Smackdown because he still has something to prove and because he wants to know if he still has what it takes. He chose Smackdown because this new era needs to go through John Cena to be legitimate.

And that is what will happen because he is here to inform everyone on Smackdown that next week, John Cena joins Baron Corbin in the next #1 Contender’s Series Triple Threat Match. John Cena will walk that aisle, he will headline The Great American Bash, he will show the world and this new era that he is still the man, that he is still the one that runs this company, that he can still go. If this new era is here to stay…then it must be Cena Approved. Because…The Champ…Is….Here!!!!!!]

We are saddened to report that WWE Hall of Famer Michael P.S. Hayes passed away following the Smackdown tapings earlier in the week. Hayes was late missing his flight and when they checked his hotel they found him in his bed. It is expected that it was the result of natural causes and no foul play is anticipated. It would be expected that WWE TV this week will honor Hayes who was a long time behind the scenes employee with the company.

News of the Ring

-A bevy of retirements rounded out the month of May. Most notable would be the immortal Hulk Hogan who will be hanging up the boots. Joining him, Perry Saturn, Dory Funk Jr., Harley Race, Earl Hebner, Afa, and Buff Bagwell.

-In an odd turn, British company PCW had sent out a press release highlighting a fued between Drew Galloway and Mr. Anderson (....Anderson). Well it seems Anderson had other plans and no showed their big event of the month. Fears are mounting in the company that Anderson may have decided to quit and not told anyone.

-WWE and Evolve have cemented a working relationship. Many are expecting similar deals with other small companies ahead of the Cruiserweight Classic. While it will certainly feature WWE talent they also want to see some unknowns and international wrestlers as well.

-The negotiations between WWE and NBC Universal have led to a big announcement. WWE and NBC Universal have agreed to a restructuring of their television contracts.

*RAW will stay on Mondays but will be shortened back to two hours.

*Smackdown will move to Tuesdays and be shown live on USA.

*NXT Takeover events will be shown on USA as a replay one week after they actually happen.

As we go to break Lana and Maryse look like they’re ready to claw each other’s eyes out.

Del Rio’s post match celebration ends early as the screen switches to the Wyatt Family standing in a dark room. Rowan and Strowman loom behind Bray. Wyatt says that tonight is not about championships or titles. It’s not even about Roman Reigns. He is just an unfortunate soul caught in the titantic struggle of salvation.

He used to say he held the whole world in his hands but it is beyond that. He has the whole universe, the WWE Universe in his hands. Only he decides who is saved and who is cast into eternal darkness.

Tonight there is no hope for Reigns because win or lose, he shall not be saved.

Sheamus gets up and quickly hits a Brogue Kick to end the match, happy to be done with it.

In a reversal from last week as Sheamus continues to stomp Axel, Jack Swagger runs down to the ring. Sheamus doesn’t see him and doesn’t know he’s there until Swagger grabs him in a bearhug and suplexes him almost across the ring. Sheamus is incensed, pounding the apron on the outside of the ring but like last week he backs off, swearing revenge.

Strowman stands there as Reigns goes on the attack as soon as the bell rings. But nothing he does seems to faze the behemoth and when Reigns runs at him, Strowman catches him in a bearhug. Reigns fights it off, getting free of his grasp before finally rocking him with a big right hand. From there Reigns begins to pummel Strowman but the monster throws him across the ring and goes on the attack of his own. Reigns is put down for a two count, and goes to the outside. Strowman follows and charges him but Reigns moves and Strowman goes face first into the post. Staggered, Strowman is uneasy on his feet and Reigns takes advantage, spearing him through the timekeeper’s station. Getting to his feet slowly, Reigns makes his way back to the ring, and slips in just as the count reaches ten.

Kissing his forehead and delivers it, driving Reigns down into the mat. The lights go out and suddenly Wyatt is gone.

So the night before the Bash, live on the WWE Network…..her eyes seem to be grasping at straws but then a lightbulb goes off…live on the WWE Network, RAW presents the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event! \

Vince nods and says that’s nice but it’s missing something big. Without missing a beat she says that’s because she didn’t get to finish. Not only will we see the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event but we will see the return of….Brock Lesnar.

Vince says that sound like a big time event and congratulates her before leaving. When he does her expression seems to suggest she doesn’t know what she got herself into.

Before Nia can get back to the ring, Eva is locked into the Asuka lock and is screaming for her life. Nia gets back in and Asuka lets go and bails backing up the ramp smiling at a furious Nia Jax. ] ========================================== [A video airs of Tom Phillips in a room with Finn Balor. He is finishing up showing the last bits of Christian's interview with Samoa Joe. Finn smiles at the video and says that Samoa Joe is pretty cute trying to make us all fear him. But the Demon fears no one. Samoa Joe talks a big game but the truth is he is now the hunted and for the first time in his NXT career he knows fear. Samoa Joe knows that at the end of the day he got lucky with a fluke and that with the bright lights shining, he can't match up. SmackDown Preview - Thursday Week 1 June 2016 - The World Heavyweight Championship Series Names The Next Challenger

Last week on Smackdown Showrunner, Shane McMahon, dropped a bomb: the World Heavyweight Championship would return to Smackdown (as a continuation of the legacy of the NWA/WCW Championship) and that it would be decided in the main event of The Great American Bash in a Triple Threat Match. Shane then announced a three week Championship Series in which each week a triple threat match would take place and each winner would go on to the Bash. In last week's series, Kevin Owens qualified for the shot at the coveted championship. This week on Smackdown the series continues and already announced for this week's match is Baron Corbin and Smackdown's newest acquisition, John Cena. Who will be the third man this week and who will join Kevin Owens at The Great American Bash?
Last week on Smackdown, AJ Styles had an in-ring confrontation with The Club that led to their shocking departure from the show. The Club has promised to walk away from AJ Styles and, we assume, Smackdown. This week AJ Styles will be in action.
Last week on Smackdown Charlotte saw her victory celebration go awry when an unexpected challenge from Becky Lynch saw Charlotte nearly lose the Women's Championship. This week on Smackdown the Women's Champion will team with Alicia Fox & Dana Brooke against the team of Becky Lynch, the Boss Sasha Banks and Natayla.
After weeks of promising Tyler Breeze makes his Smackdown debut of this new era. Prince Pretty vows to welcome us to the new era...of being gorgeous. What will happen when Breeze returns?

Smackdown then cut to the Smackdown opening video set to “Black and Blue.” We go live inside the arena where Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves welcomes us to Smackdown where tonight, in the main event, Baron Corbin, Smackdown’s newest star John Cena and a superstar yet to be named will compete in a triple threat match to determine the second spot in the World Heavyweight Championship triple threat match at The Great American Bash.

[Mauro and Graves then immediately take us to footage from “Earlier Today” that show United States Champion, Kalisto, arriving to the arena. He gets out of his car and gets his bags from his trunk. As he does so, the man from last week, dressed in black and wearing a ski mask attacks Kalisto from behind. This man slams Kalisto’s head against the trunk of the car and vaults him onto the hood of his car. The mystery man drops Kalisto with a ddt onto his windshield and takes off running out of the building when security rush to Kalisto’s aid.

Ranallo and Graves inform us that Kalisto was taken to a local medical facility and he suffered a concussion. They talk about how the mask that he wears is a gift or that it could’ve been much worse. They inform us that authorities searched for the man but were unable to find him and speculate that with the ski mask on; it could be anyone.

Grade: 78

Both women have a terrific back and forth encounter that is evenly matched. The turning point is when they are on the floor and Paige goes for a Paige Turner on the floor but Emma slides out and sends Paige’s body crashing into the ring steps. Back in the ring Emma starts to lay Paige out and soon locks in the Emma Lock and though Paige tries to fight out of it, she has no choice but to submit.

Winner: Emma

Grade: 75

Ranallo and Graves take us back to last week where The Club walked away from AJ Styles. They cut to a live shot of the Phenomenal One getting ready. AJ Styles is in action when we come back on Smackdown!

Viktor tries to be competitive but this match is all about showcasing how amazing AJ Styles is. Before long he hits the Styles Clash and then the Phenominal Forearm for the decisive victory.

Following the match, AJ looks right into the camera and says “think I can’t stand without you? Watch me”.

[shane McMahon is backstage talking to a referee when Chris Jericho comes up. He says that he is tired of feeling disrespected and that he should be in the championship series. Shane tells him that the last time he gave Jericho an opportunity like that, Chris blew it. The fact is that Jericho is getting up there in years and nearing the end of his career and Smackdown is all about the young new blood of WWE getting an opportunity…like Baron Corbin. Jericho says that this is not fair and clearly age discrimination by Shane….Shane-O laughs at him like he’s nuts and says fine Chris can have another shot. He will be the third man in the triple threat match tonight…but if Chris Jericho fails to win this match, this is his last shot at a World Championship on Smackdown. Jericho walks off happy at first but then clearly worried.]

Grade: 76

Shane says that is a terrific idea. He orders a referee down to the ring and orders the match to begin….right now.

Kevin tries to get this match over early but he can’t put down Crews. Crews over powers Owens and soon is in control and hits Owens with the Back Lift Powerbomb for a very close two count. After missing a clothesline, Crews cedes control to Owens who soon nails the Pop Up Powerbomb. 1…2…Crews kicks out. Owens does a back splash and hits Crews again with the Pop Up Powerbomb. 1…2…and at the very last second Crews kicks out again. Owens can’t believe it and when Crews gets up, he kicks Crews square in the balls forcing the referee to have no choice but to call for the bell.

Winner by Disqualification: Apollo Crews

[With the match over, Owens looks down at Crews screaming “that’s what you get” before sneering and walking off.]

[Damien Sandow is already in the ring. The lights go out and flashbulbs appear everywhere. Suddenly a spotlight hits the entrance way and the beautiful ladies come out like a fashion runway. They all have selfie sticks and then the lights go out and we hear someone scream “Tylerrrrr” and Prince Pretty’s music hits. As Breeze comes down the ring he is posing with each model as he makes his way to the ring. The models come down too and hold open the ropes as Breeze steps in and strikes a pose with spotlights highlighting him. ]

Sandow and Breeze end up having a real back and forth match that spans past a commercial break. When we return to Smackdown, Sandow has the advantage and has Breeze down for a 2 count. Breeze starts mounting a comeback and goes for the beauty shot but Sandow ducks out of the way and Breeze crashes to the mat. Damien drops Breeze with a fall away slam and heads to the top rope but Breeze is up and pushes the ropes crotching Sandow. Breeze gets up and heads to Damien to grab him but Damian kicks Breeze in the head, stunning prince pretty, and Damian leaps off the top rope…right into a Beauty Shot! Breeze makes the cover…1…2…3.

This is a match that quickly gets out of hand and ends up in a pretty wild brawl. We get a commercial break in the middle of the match and when we come back Alicia Fox is nearly tapping out to the Bank Statement before Charlotte comes in to save the match. Soon enough, Charlotte and the heels have taken control and start cutting Becky Lynch off from her partners but true to form, chaos reigns once more as Becky tags in Sasha and the six ladies brawl all over the place again. Eventually Dana Brooke is placed in the Bank Statement and taps out before Charlotte can get to her.

From the beginning of the match, John Cena clearly has to battle both Corbin and Y2J. Both take their turns beating up on John Cena but each time, Cena keeps fighting back. Finally Cena throws Jericho to the floor but is immediately caught in the End of Days. Corbin covers 1…2….Chris Jericho pulls Corbin out of the ring and throws him into the barricade. Jericho comes in the ring and hits the Codebreaker on Cena. He covers…1…2..and Corbin is in the ring breaking up the pin and now Jericho and Corbin are going at it. Each trade near falls on the other before Cena is finally recovered and we have a three man brawl that sees the referee get knocked down and sees Jericho tumbling to the floor again.

Baron Corbin is placed into the AA but gets out and hits the End of Days on Cena again.

But before he can cover, Dolph Ziggler has run into the ring from the crowd. The fans are on their feet as Ziggler goes right for Corbin. He clothesline’s Corbin over the top rope and both men fall to the floor. Corbin throws Ziggler off of him but Dolph just charges again and both men battle up the ramp to the back.

In the ring Cena is watching this and doesn’t see Jericho behind him. Cena turns around and Jericho goes for the Codebreaker….but John Cena catches him by the knees, lifts him up and nails the Attitude Adjustment. Cover…1…2…3. John Cena is going to the Great American Bash!

[Following the match, Smackdown’s newest star is celebrating and playing up to the crowd. Jericho, on the floor, realizes that he has lost his last shot at the World Heavyweight Championship and is screaming “no”. He grabs a chair and slides into the ring behind Cena and when Cena turns around, Jericho swings right at his head. Cena is down as Jericho has snapped and slaps on the Walls of Jericho as officials flood the ring. Even Shane McMahon has run down to try to talk Chris Jericho into letting go as Cena has passed out from the pain. Finally, Jericho relents and storms out of the ring and arena, the last image we see on Smackdown is John Cena unconscious – the leader of Cenation is headed to the Bash but will he head there at 100%?]

-It should surprise no one that we may soon see the call up of several NXT talents, the return of familiar faces from years past or both.

-Elias Sampson suffered a PCL Sprain during a botched move by Angelo Dawkins on NXT. He might be out 2-3 weeks. There is some heat on Dawkins for being sloppy.

-Bray Wyatt, Samoa Joe, Dana Brooke and Paul Heyman all have contracts coming to an end within the next 50 days.

-There is talk of Survivor Series having a big Raw vs Smackdown component.

-Tickets for Saturday Night's Main Event sold out in an hour. The event will be held the night before Smackdown's Great American Bash live on the WWE Network from Indianapolis, IN.

RAW 5 Point Preview - Monday Week 2 June 2016 - We're All Mad Here

*WWE Champion Roman Reigns was brutally attacked again last week by Bray Wyatt, so severely he has not been cleared to return this week and has left many wondering if Wyatt has the champ's number.

*The war between the WWE Tag Team Champions, the Dudley Boyz and the New Day continues to rage and following last week's less than flattering tea party by the New Day the animosity is no where close to ending. This week D'Von Dudley goes one on one with Xavier Woods.

*King Barrett as of late has had his issues with the young upstart on RAW Big Cass. This week he takes on the veteran Golddust but his Majesty is sure to have a few words to say about the man he called a lowly commoner.

*Intercontinental Champion Cesaro seems as of late to have a fan club in the League of Nations. Will his new cheerleaders get involved this week when he defends his title against Titus O'Neill?

*Last week Stephanie McMahon made two huge declarations. The first was the return of Saturday Night's Main Event headlined by the Beast, Brock Lesnar. The other was this week's main event. The Lunatic Fringe retuns after having been sidelined by the Wyatt Family to take on Erick Rowan in a No Disqualfication Match. But without his brother Roman Reigns available is Dean Ambrose walking into a trap...or setting one?

He keeps it going to the crowd’s delight, going from one man to the other. Finally as the match really gets going Rowan takes the advantage but he doesn’t hold it long. When Ambrose makes his comeback, Wyatt again reaches under the ring and retrieves a kendo stick. Slowly he slides into the ring but when he swings, Ambrose ducks and he catches Rowan right in the head. Rowan falls like a redwood. While Wyatt is stunned at his actions, Ambrose grabs the stick and begins beating Wyatt with it, sending him from the ring. By that time Rowan is up, though staggered and is a perfect victim for Dirty Deeds.
