Maybe a bit gamey but you can argue it's to get the wrestlers prepared and the live crowd hyped. Very, very useful in working out what notes to use and to gauge the rating you might get when it actually matters.</p><p> </p><p> I'm yet to establish which match aim is best (although Storytelling is a front runner at the moment) but other notes to use are Winner, Loser (Runner-up), Iron Man and Most Eliminations. I tend to keep away from Keep Strong and Protect as I stay true to form in having it in the Main Event slot and the rating is already compromised/capped due to the type of match.</p>

But I do have one every pre show for everyone not on the main show, with another random match if needed, but they are just left with default notes.</p>

I might be wrong, but isn't using protect notes detrimental to the rating? Why would you use that on a match that involves around 10 people, just to protect one? Keep strong used to be harmless in the previous games, and helped to get your favored worker in the final four.

They still do in 2016 but not too much as last game</p>

<p>In some cases I assume it can severely increase their skill output (in case of Marat: a string of powerpunches? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />), but as the same time the match would incur a penalty.</p><p> </p><p>

Good to know that penalty has lessened, because I felt - in my limited experience with TEW13 - it was never worth it.</p>

Marat's over, but I think the note helped because I didn't even get the message that the match was hurt by lack of selling.</p>

Yeah, I set it on Marat when he challenged the more over Joey Minnesota for the title, and I came away with something in the high 90s as the grade. Marat's over, but I think the note helped because I didn't even get the message that the match was hurt by lack of selling.

Yeah because since its minimizing his weaknesses and maximizing his strengths, the match automatically has it to where he wouldn't need to sell a ton or use a lot of stamina and focus on his power and toughness and such.

The "booking decisions" penalty has noticeably taken a nerf this time around and protect buffed a bit
