I just noticed that there is not a dedicated RAW thread and I am just starting up a game with them to get to know them better, to maybe try a diary eventually again. So how does everybody book RAW? I know there are few huge names that are young, but how do yall keep it interesting and not book the same feuds? Also how do you handle the high comedy and low match ratio?

After reading about RAW in a 2013 thread, it got me looking at them again for 2016. With Swoop firmly in place as their figurehead, they're in no danger of being overtaken by APW. It's interesting this year with them having no events and just running a weekly TV deal, how has anyone else playing as them found this?

I find It fairly easy as I tend to give more time than normal for my angles. For any angle I would normally give 6 minutes it gets 10 and for any angle I would give 10 I give 15 or 20. RAW is a promotion where the only thing that matters in the ring is performance skills, ent skills, and of course pop. I find it fairly easy to book and ride my main eventers to the promise land. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Spud1305" data-cite="Spud1305" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42100" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>After reading about RAW in a 2013 thread, it got me looking at them again for 2016. I quickly get a ppv deal in place if I can and I go for broke. APW is on the back burner along with DIW and ZEN as far as competition. I tend to pluck their tag teams in order to bolster my tag division. I also tend to remove Swoop as figurehead because when I start running my shows Luke Steele and a few others either catch him in pop or they pass him. I'm honestly not a Swoop fan and prefer Kerry Wayne and Luke Steele as my go to guys to carry the RAW banner.</p>

I never really looked at Kerry Wayne as a replacement figurehead, but did think about Loxley Robbins and his 92 star quality as a future figurehead.</p>

Started up a new save with RAW. Thinking of turning it into a YouTube series now that I have more free time. Made a couple of custom logos. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>In case any new RAW players were wondering, when booking them I tend to think sticking to WWE Monday Night Raw is a good barometer match wise.</p><p> </p><p>

I look at PWTorch or Cageside to see match times but for example this week's 3 hour Monday Night Raw was like this match wise:</p><p> </p><p>

7m 40s: Chris Jericho vs Enzo Amore (1 commercial break)</p><p>

0m 50s: Braun Strowman vs Jorel Nelson</p><p>

1m 58s: Darren Young vs Titus O'Neil</p><p>

7m 56s: Cesaro vs Sheamus (1 commercial break)</p><p>

5m 19s: Neville and Sin Cara vs Dudley Boyz</p><p>

2m 42s: Sasha Banks vs Dana Brooke</p><p>

1m 32s: Kofi Kingston vs Luke Gallows</p><p>

9m 36s: Rusev vs Cesaro</p><p> </p><p>

So on a 3 hour show you're talking about under 40 minutes worth of wrestling and no match longer than 10 minutes.</p><p> </p><p>

Better get those creative juices flowing!</p>

<p>I just played my first five years with ZEN, so I could probably give you some tips on who turned into useful players for me on the Aussie/NZ scene.</p><p> </p><p>

Brodie Lachlan is a ****ing stud. Damian Dastardly, if you can pry him away, is a great heel. Felix Harding is a nice all-around package. Jesse Tasman and Lerone Slim are good adds with some solid upside. SubUrban Legend and Killer B, if you can snag them, are both also quality adds.</p>

Never thought about Suburban Legend and Killer B, but they would certainly add to the tag ranks.</p><p> I also signed Marc DuBois in one of my games, sent him to rehab and he improved and is no longer a negative influence. Here's hoping that he comes back clean.</p><p> </p><p> I ran a few test games as RAW and adding a PPV contract makes a big difference, I made around $250,000 a month. I'm planning on starting again and investing some more time planning but will definitely be adding a PPV deal straight away.</p><p> I might also look at getting rid of some of the people at the bottom of the roster, guys like Louie Louis, Joe Zucco and Lynx.</p><p> </p><p> I've also got a side question, what do people tend to do with Kal and Kian Wayne after they wrap up the 'Family Affair' storyline? I'm thinking of just having them in the tag ranks, but without the feud with their 'brother' I'm not really sure what to do with them.</p>

I use Lynx as basically a jobber but have had Zucco in some storylines playing up his muscle for hire bit. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42100" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I've also got a side question, what do people tend to do with Kal and Kian Wayne after they wrap up the 'Family Affair' storyline? His next challenger will probably be Luke Steele. My plan is for the other Waynes to align with Steele but get treated poorly. Steele will use them as a shield and when they lose singles matches he'll repeatedly destroy them. At the PPV I am planning something where the Waynes interfere half heartedly after all the beatdowns, get into a confrontation with Steele and get destroyed. In the chaos Kerry's better nature gets the best of him, he saves the brothers from a beating mid match but ends up dropping the title in the process. Face turn complete for the both of them I'll probably do a Wayne Family stable for a while.</p>

Right now I am trying to slowly move into Mexico (only 3 areas). With that said I try to save up as much money as possible and then buy out any failing companies to be able to leech their pop. PGHW usually goes under in my saves so that is an easy way to get into Japan.</p>

<p>Hello! Looking to see if anybody has had any long term saves with RAW.</p><p> </p><p>

I typically play pop > performance but for whatever reason with RAW I just can't get as good of ratings as I can with the SWF, CGC, SOTBPW, EWA etc of the world. </p><p> </p><p>

I think the match ratings are lower than expected because the fans are so uninterested in wrestling everyone's skills are nerfed a bit.</p><p> </p><p>

But even when I do say a menace angle with two guys with a pop in the low to mid 70s and a menace rating of mid 90s, the angle will only score about a 60. I know a million factors can go into this but it this something to do with playing in Australia? Or what is a guess for the main culprit here? I've had a lot of trouble raising pop of guys in RAW in my limited play through so far. </p><p> </p><p>

Thanks guys.</p>

You’d have to consistently put up phenomenal ratings to get to national because I think you need like 88 pop throughout the region or something insane like that but anyway. Besides the character you have rated on menace who else is being rated and on what because that could be the culprit. As for match rating I can pull decent rating from mid 70’s to mid 80’s. I found that it’s all about the momentum of your workers also but I haven’t played RAW in a minute.</p>
