Autobooking one half of a brand split???

Recommended Posts

I've searched the boards for this but I wasn't able to find anything. If it's been posted elsewhere, please be kind and just point me into the right direction. No need to be rude or childish :)

I'm playing with a real world mod and I was thinking about starting a WWE game but I feel as though I would get overwhelmed and bored with booking so many shows each week. So, I was thinking that maybe I could just "control" one brand and just autobook the other brand. I could break up the two brands into two companies but I really do not want to do that at all.

Both brands would have their own rosters, flag shows, titles, ppvs, storylines, ect. I would just run one of the brands.

Has anyone done this where they just run one brand and auto-booked the other brand?

If so, was there anything that stood out as different? Are there penalties for autobooking half of your company?

I wonder if it would do that if the match length requirements were back in the game? I didn't do much autobooking during the last game to remember if this was a problem then too or not.</p>

Trading/loaning is a great option, however I would want something a little more concrete and long term than loaning/trading. Good suggestion though <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Just gonna throw my two cents in here concerning the two brand thing. I'm playing a 2004 game so the brand split is obviously there. Haven't played a current year mod with the brand split yet. Initially, I thought the task of running two shows would be daunting. I quickly found out that its really not. I book Raw and Smackdown and its like booking two different companies. I actually enjoy moving from one to the other. It mixes things up. I autobook Velocity and Heat because they're meh B shows anyway. Just wanted to kind of let you know that its not as bad as it may seem.

I find it quite laborious I must say, booking a brand split. I really do enjoy it as I like getting everyone involved and it allows you to get your roster over very fast, but after spending over an hour booking an episode of the 'A' show (and that's with the show already planned out in Excel) the last thing I want to do is go straight into booking the 'B' show - I'm exhausted. I won't use the auto-booker, my stories are too complex and intertwined for that. It's took me 6 weeks to get to Monday, Week 4 in this save.

The brand split is probably my most loved and most hated style of booking. I always have one on the go but I like to keep a couple of saves on the side where I can be a bit lazy with my booking style due to the smaller roster. WCW 1991 is one I've always enjoyed to relax - trim the fat and go ahead with getting a whole week of shows booked and played through in one night.

<p>Just a follow up:</p><p> </p><p>

I've been playing this way for about 3 weeks into the game and Raw is completely sucking! I gave them all the huge stars and each person on that brand was given a gimmick. They have their own brand titles and story-lines. I've auto-booked three Raws so far and each Raw has lost popularity in all regions. Each week I get that message that there aren't enough story-lines. They also haven't booked any title matches, even though I've made sure that they do.</p><p> </p><p>

Does autobook not book story-lines?</p>

You have to create your storylines yourself. Also just because you lose popularity doesn't mean the show "sucks." You are getting low show grades and losing popularity because of penalties.</p><p> </p><p> Even with auto booker you need to go in and make sure that you are setting your match aims (if you have that feature on). You'll get penalties for not having certain types of matches dependent on your product, not having enough storylines, and not having the proper angle to match ratio. Auto-booker only takes care of having the proper ratio but not the other 2.</p>
