Gargantuan:

“How do the ribs feel, Jack? Every breath you take is a reminder of the pain I inflicted, and a reminder of what’s to come. I will be reunited with the CGC World Title, and if I have to crush you piece by piece and pick up that title from your broken body, I will. I am unstoppable, and when you beat me for that belt, I will show you it was only a fluke and this time you will not survive.”

Jack DeColt:

“That’s easy to say, Gargantuan. You might be a genetic freak, a monster and a true force of nature, but I’m Jack DeColt. I’m the 6-time World Champion, The Face of the Company, I have the blood of champions in my veins and the bonds of brotherhood around me and I will not fall to you. So find yourself a team for Elimination, and I’ll do the same, and on that night, live on Pay-Per-View, I’ll show you that you’ll never be on my level.

Davis Ditterditch:

“Strong words from the both champion and challenger there, I’m curious to see who Gargantuan can threaten into tagging with him at Elimination, and speaking of tag-teams, resident odd couple Stevie and Zeus are in action next!”

Old school cheating and tag team tactics from the aging Soldiers do nothing to contain the high-flying energy of Stevie Grayson and the incredible strength of Zeus Maxmillion. Faith:

“Look Joey, it’s a new year here in CGC and it could be yours for the taking.

Just do the right thing and clean yourself up, you don’t need to cheat to win. You can do this. I believe in you.”

Faith takes Joey by the hands and looks him in the eyes before he bolts up from his chair and walks out the door, raising his hood over his head. Faith looks disappointed.

Clearly unimpressed with the food he’s been served, he stretches across the table to complain to the cooks over some small detail as Drake Young walks by, spotting an opportunity, he walks off with Ryan’s chair and descends into a fit of laughter when Powell sails into the ground, sending up a small explosion of food as he goes. Hearing Drake laughing, he launches after the youngster, screaming obscenities as he goes, down the hall, around a corner and into…Skip Beau. He looms over Ryan, who is backed up by fellow Powerhouse Graduate Drake Young,

Ian Identity and Shane Nelson vs Ozzie Golden and Blockbuster

Identity is overwhelmed quickly by Ozzie’s cheap cheating and Blockbusters power, but one hot-tag later Shane Nelson is flying around the ring, taking Blockbuster out with a springboard clothesline, tagging in Identity before wiping out Ozzie with a suicide dive. Blockbuster hoists Identity up for the buster bomb, but I-Squared rolls through into a sunset flip! 1..2…3! The victorious team celebrate their win up the ramp while Blockbuster fumes in the ring, clutching his Canadian title.

Alan Parent vs Joey Poison

Technician Alan Parent tries taking it to the mat early but is outclassed by the versatile Poison who tied the youngster in knots before taking him apart with elbow, knee and forearm strikes. Parent bravely battles back, and forces Poison into the turnbuckle with the turnbuckle pad coming with Poison he attempts a Victory Roll. 1…2…Kick out! For a moment, it looks like Poison considers throwing Parent into the exposed steel, but he spots Faith at ringside and rolls Parent up in the Antidote Web for the victory. Faith climbs into the ring and raises Joey’s hand with a huge smile on her face. Even Poison seems pleased.

Cruiserweight style is on the cards in the main event of the evening as a long sequence of arm-drags, counters, dropkicks, flashy takedowns and springboards result in neither man taking no clear advantage until the crowd gets firmly behind the youngest DeColt “Ri-cky! Ri-cky! Ri-cky!” Firing up, Ricky beats Seeker pillar to post with old school DeColt brawling, setting himself up for a high cross body. Pulling the referee in front of him Thrill Seeker avoids impact while Ricky crashes badly into the poor official and goes down in flames. Frantically, Seeker searches beneath the ring and produces a chair. Mounting it on Ricky’s chest, Seeker sets up for the Daredevil Drop and…hits it! Throwing the chair out the ring as the referee regains consciousness, he counts 1… … 2 … … 3! Seeker steals it!

Final Thoughts: This is my first ever diary, after reading plenty on here for so long. Is the card predictable? Probably, but I always like finishing the default stories before starting others. Long term planning isn’t much my thing either, so God knows where that’ll take the diary, but if nothing else I hope it makes for decent reading. I’ve not written this much in a day in ages.

With Jenny Playmate cheerleading at ringside, Identity controls the Pretty-boy with fun brawling and power. 1 Jab! 2 Jabs! Shake, rattle ‘n’ roll and a Bionic Elbow knocks Ozzie out of the ring. Looking to capitalize, Identity follows Ozzie out the ring and gets hit by a cheap shot for his trouble. Rolled back into the ring, Ozzie climbs the top rope and lets fly with an incredible 450 Splash! Lucky for the Powerhouse graduate, Identity gets his knees up and Golden ploughs into him rib first. Identity rolls him up in a cradle. 1...2…3! Identity takes it!

Suddenly, the door flies off the hinges and Gargantuan ducks through the now-empty doorway. He picks Thrill Seeker up by the throat and pushes him against a wall while Joey looks on, eyes wide, frozen in awe.

The added stipulation of the match leads both men to be extra cautious in the beginning folds of the match, until the rampant crowd support fires Ricky up and gives him the advantage. Frustrated, Seeker cheats to gain the upper hand once more. Hard to believe the most exciting man in CGC and former fan-favourite now resorts to eye-pokes and cheap shots to gain the advantage. Once more, the fans start chanting for Ricky and he starts hitting his signature moves, Rolling Elbow! Spinning Heel Kick! Shining Wizard! 1…2…Kick Out! Rolling out the ring, Seeker, erm, seeks to recover and throws a chair in the ring! Bless the referee, as he removes the chair from the ring Seeker nails Ricky with a huge kick to the nuts, to the horror of the male section of the audience, and George DeColt’s hopes of more grandchildren. Rolling Ricky up the referee returns to the count 1…2…3!

Adrian Garcia: “Thrill Seeker wins the first fall and what an inspired way to do it!”

Backing the competitors off, the referee signals for the second fall to start, and Seeker is immediately on the attack. Forearms are thrown until Ricky can barely defend himself. Seeker sets up for the Daredevil Drop, but Ricky moves out of the way. Crashing hard, Seeker is caught by Ricky in the DeColt 45! 1…2…3! Ricky takes the second fall!

Davis Ditterditch: “That’s one fall a piece, next one takes it.”

Both men are hurting and exhausted, and dig deep. A hard exchange of fists in the middle of the ring fires both men up, with the brawling giving Ricky the upper hand. He loads up a huge Discus Clothesline, but Thrill Seeker ducks it. Backslide! His feet are on the rope! 1…2…3! Damn it!

Thrill Seeker wins in 16:55, two falls to one with an illegal Backslide.

We’re taken to the arenas car park where Skip Beau towers next to Drake Young, who is inexplicably wearing a super-sleuthy trench coat and looking back and forth like he’s expecting someone.

Drake Young:

“Look Skip, trust me. If Ryan Powell is gathering a team to take us on, then we’ll need my contact to make a full team.”

Skip Beau:

“Drake, but couldn’t we just…y’know…ASK someone to be our partner tonight?”

Drake Young:

“Shh partner. I have contacts, Skip. Important contacts. They’ll be here any second.”

A car pulls into the yard, out steps Bobby Thomas.

Drake winks at Skip, clearly he’s got this.

Drake Young:

“Good Evening, Mister Thomas. I’m pleased to see my people got in contact with your people to arrange this meeting. I trust the fee is quite how-you-say reasonable...

He winks again, rifling through his pockets to reveal a pair of coins, a button and some lint.

Bobby Thomas looks confused. Skip pushes Drake out the way and marches up to the veteran.

Skip Beau:

“Hey, Bobby. Good timing, we need a partner for later tonight to take on Ryan Powell’s team. You in?”

Bobby nods, and walks off carrying his bag. Skip glares at Drake dumbfounded by the absolute lack of subtlety his partner works with.

Dirty White Boys & Zeus and Stevie vs The Predators and The Soldiers of Fortune.

In spite of recent momentum, the two babyface teams constantly step on each other’s toes and allow Zeus Maxmillion to be isolated and picked apart. A burst of Herculean strength gives Zeus time to tag in his partner Stevie. The veteran cruiserweight flies around with crossbodies and drop-kicks, even wiping all 4 heels in a huge plancha. Look at him go! A blind tag from Grease Hogg allows the White Boy to capitalize, hitting the Grease Spot on Technique, Fate and Destiny in succession, until Zeus gets in his face in protest. Hogg pushes Maxmillion, Maxmillion pushes back, allowing Nathan Black to roll Hogg up, hands on the tights! 1...2...3! Grease Hogg is gone! Zeus takes his opportunity, Uppercutting Nathan out of his boots. Tilt-a-whirl Backbreaker! Olympian Clutch. Black taps!

Zeus Maxmillion, Stevie Grayson and Lead Belly survive in 12:04 with the Olympian Clutch.

Lead Belly gets in the face of Zeus, and the two are ready to exchange blows, but Stevie pulls his Bronzed friend away from the conflict, up the ramp.

Dan DaLay sat at a table, smoking a cigar. With him, are Brett Fraser and CGC Canadian Champion Blockbuster, all of them are playing poker.

DaLay makes the call, the other two put their cards down and DaLay hoots with joy, sweeping in a huge stack of chips.

Dan DaLay:

“That’s exactly why I’m the boss around here, boys.

Price is gonna find that out for himself.

Just remember who’s in charge”

DaLay stands up and topples the table, sending cards, chips and cigars flying. He motions the other two to follow him. It’s on.

Elsewhere, in the locker-room Christian Price is wearing an army helmet and waving a cane. Pacing back and forth he addresses Shane Nelson and Ian Identity who are accompanied by Jenny Playmate, all wear camo stripes painted on their faces. Clearly ready for war, indeed

Christian Price:

“All right, guys: remember the plan?”

Nelson and Identity nod and salute.

“That’s right, punch the tall things until they fall down and keep punching them until they stop moving.”

Nelson, Playmate and Identity salute. Price motions them out the door.

“We beat these dudes and it’s onward and upward from here”

Christian Price, Ian Identity and Shane Nelson vs Blockbuster, Brett Fraser and Dan DaLay.

It doesn’t take long for this one to escalate. Nelson puts in a good showing, furiously battering Fraser into a corner until a poke to the eye and a quick tag brings Blockbuster in, who finishes the job with a huge Busterbomb. Eliminating the risk-taker early.

Identity bursts in, battering the metal-head despite the huge difference in size, he hoists Blockbuster up for the Identity Theft but can’t hit it on the huge man. Blockbuster goes for the Busterbomb, Identity rolls through, sunset flip! 1…2…Kick out! Identity takes a run-up! Knee Trembler! Right to the head! 1..2..3! The Canadian Champion is gone!

Fraser hits the ring and puts the boots into Identity, until the referee pulls him off the poor rookie. Jenny Playmate climbs on the ring apron, and Fraser goes to argue with her, Identity charges after Fraser but inadvertently sends Playmate off the apron. In the rush after his manager, Identity gets rolled up! Fraser grabs the tights! 1…2…3!

Price is alone! The Stud goes crazy with Shoulder Tackles and Clotheslines, ringing Frasers bell and forcing him into the corner.

Dan DaLay:

“Now, Fraser!”

Taking his orders, Fraser punts Price precisely in the plums! Brett Fraser has been disqualified! Smirking, DaLay finally enters the ring and hits the wounded Price with a Big Boot. DaLay has no trouble lifting The Stud up and…DaLay Down! The referee counts the pinfall.

Dan DaLay survives in 16:54 with a DaLay Down.

The camera pans over, to reveal Whippy the Clown, whose eyes are rolled in the natural reaction most people have when talked at by The Shooting Star.

“Look, you’re a show-biz guy. You must have connections, Whippy, someone willing to help out the Shooting Star”

Whippy pulls out his phone and starts texting, Ryan goes to open his mouth but Whippy raises a finger to silence him. Again. He’s got this.

Jack DeColt is backstage, sat upon a medic’s chair. His ribs are heavily taped and a Doctor pokes and prods at him, Donte Dunn and Ricky DeColt surround him, concerned.

Ricky DeColt:

“You sure you good to go, Jack? Gargantuan got you really good on Sunday, you can’t be 100%.”

Jack winces as the Doctor prods again, before being motioned out by the Champion.

Jack DeColt:

“Look, Ricky who’s ever really 100% besides, if anything I’m in the mood for some serious monster ass-kicking. Gargantuan and his little cronies are gonna learn that actions have consequences. You just take care of Captain Adrenaline. Donte, you take out Captain Rainbows. You guys are the only people I can trust to do this, Alex is retired, Steve has been gone for years, you two are the family we have left and we need to stick together.”

Jack sticks his fist in front of him, Donte bumps it with his own. Distracted, Ricky takes a moment before doing the same.

Adrian Garcia: "Turns out Whippy does have show business contacts, getting the East Side Assassin on such short notice.

Remind me to never look on his cell-phone..."

Drake Young, Skip Beau and Bobby Thomas vs Ryan Powell, Whippy the Clown and Sayeed Ali.

Powell is determined to get his hands on Drake Young, but Skip Beau steps in the ring instead and he proceeds to batter The Shooting Star with a variety of power moves until he gets to a corner to make a frantic tag-out to his new associate, Sayeed Ali.

In response, Skip tags in his own hired gun and Bobby Thomas sizes up his new rival. The two exchange forearm shots and go hold-for-hold with neither man taking an advantage. Ali goes for his high-impact DDT the “GBH Driver” but Thomas spins out for a DDT of his own, but that’s countered too. Counter, reversal, counter again. Both men tumble out of the ring and start brawling up the ramp, neither man giving an inch despite the hellish beating they both dish out.

Pride forces Ali and Thomas up the aisle as the referee carries on his count, Ali throws Thomas into the barrier, and hits the GBH Driver on the concrete! Thomas is out cold and hurt, but Ali carries on stomping away, until both men are counted out and have to be separated.

Drake Young enters next, ducking a clothesline from Whippy the young funny-man taunts Ryan on the apron. Once again, his anger gets the better of him and the Shooting Star attempts to climb in the ring, and as the referee attempts to stop him, Whippy eats a huge big boot from Skip Beau and is eliminated off the pinfall.

Powell finally enters the ring again, but as is his habit, his frustration gets the better of him and one-raspberry blown from the apron by Drake Young is all it takes for Powell to be caught and planted by the Flow Down! 1…2…3.

Joey Poison is making his way down the hall to ringside, when a sudden hand plucks him out the air and slams him against the wall, his feet dangling metres off the floor. It’s the Beast himself, Gargantuan.

“Remember what I told you, Poison. Fail me and I’ll break you. You and your girl. Understand?”

The Super-Heavyweight releases Poison, who drops to his knees, clutching his throat. Watching the eclipsing shadow of the monster as he walks toward the ring.

Jack DeColt, Ricky DeColt and Donte Dunn vs Gargantuan, Joey Poison and Thrill Seeker.

Ricky starts the match with Thrill Seeker. Utterly desperate to get his hands on his adversary, Ricky throws himself at Seeker to no avail. Dropkicks are avoided, punches are blocked and answered with stinging kicks that only enrage the youngest DeColt further. Taking advantage, Thrill Seeker nails Ricky with a sequence of kicks that are answered with a huge clothesline over the top.

Trying to capitalize, Ricky follows Seeker outside with a huge Suicide Dive but crashes hard into a crowd barrier. He’s down in flames, as Seeker bounces off the ropes to hit an Asai Moonsault on the wounded Ricky.

Contented to wait for a count out, Seeker tags in Poison and the pair wait for Ricky to crawl into the ring before laying him out with a double-clothesline.

More precise strikes from Poison dizzy the youngest DeColt, allowing the rainbow-haired wrestler to grind Ricky down with excruciating and flashy joint locks, stomping on every extremity available in a methodical wearing down of the Risk-Taker.Looking on from the apron, Jack offers his hand out for the tag, desperate to help his brother.

Ricky stuns Poison with a quick Enziguri and leaps to his corner tagging in…Donte Dunn! To Jack’s surprise, The Barbadian Barbarian launches into action with a shoulder tackle, and another, Joey swings for a clothesline but Donte ducks and he drives Poison down with a bulldog. Dunn kips up and bellows to the crowd, he is fired up!

An Irish-whip is reversed by Poison and the veteran follows up with a charging fore-arm of his own, dazing the Powerhouse Graduate and allowing Poison to tag Thrill Seeker back in.

Kicks to the thigh, chest and gut rock Donte and a Spinning Heel Kick knocks him to the ground. Full of smarmy confidence, Seeker steps on Donte’s outstretched hand and takes a fist full of hair, taunting the battered Ricky on the apron.

As the referee attempts to stop Ricky entering the ring, Seeker takes advantage with an enormous knee to the crotch that levels the poor rookie to the audible horror of every male in the audience. Seeker climbs the top-rope and makes the dive! Daredevil Dive! 1…2…3

Donte Dunn has been eliminated.

Despite the rib-damage, Jack steps into the ring next under further protests from his little brother. Battling Thrill Seeker into the corner, Jack mounts and starts striking; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7…wait! Seeker struggles and slams Jack down with a Powerbomb!

The Champion felt that, his ribs are in a bad way already and Seeker works them over with even more sharp kicks and hard knees before tagging in Poison once more.

A barrage of stomps in the corner knocks the little remaining air out of Jack’s lungs letting Poison place the wounded Champion on the top rope. Poison leaps for a top-rope Hurricanrana but Jack holds on and Poison tumbles hard to the mat, following up, Jack floors Poison with a huge clothesline. Both men land hard, and Jack clutches his ribs as he edges towards his brother searching for the tag. He makes it! Ricky’s in!

Moving a little slower than usual, Ricky takes it to Poison. Knee strike, Suplex, Knee Drop, Seated Dropkick. The two-time CGC World Champion takes it up a notch (while Faith looks on concerned at ringside) by planting Poison with a DDT before setting up for his patented Moonsault. Ricky hits it, but he’s still hurt and it takes all his remaining energy to hit the Rainbow haired one with the signature DeColt 45. 1…2…3.

Joey Poison has been eliminated.

Faith escorts the battered Poison away from the war while Gargantuan screams after them from the ring apron. In the ring however, Ricky gets no time to recover, Seeker springboards in with a Fame-Asser. 1…2…Kick Out!

Being in the ring with the man he can’t defeat fires Ricky up and he unloads on Seeker, he’s fighting like he’s in someone else’s body with relentless strikes. Looking for a reprieve, Seeker retreats into the ropes forcing the referee to separate the two men. With the referee’s attention distracted, Gargantuan turns Ricky inside out with a monster Clothesline with incredible force. Seeker covers the unconscious DeColt. 1…2..3! Once again, Ricky is trounced by his rival.

Ricky DeColt has been eliminated.

Jack’s alone, wounded with the increasingly-smug Thrill Seeker and the unharmed beast himself but he’s a DeColt and the CGC World Champion and no DeColt has ever backed down from the fight. Slowly climbing in the ring, Jack is rushed by Seeker who knees him repeatedly in the chest again and again and again and again and again and again until the referee pulls Seeker off the wounded Champion. Jack’s got that look in his eyes however, and he fires off on Seeker with the famous ‘DeColt Trio’ combination. Palm Thrust! Throat Thrust! European Uppercut! Thrill Seeker is stunned into the corner and rammed with a Corner Splash. He’s down, and despite his desperately hurt ribs, Jack tangles Seeker up in the End of Days. Seeker taps!

Thrill Seeker has been eliminated.

Gargantuan wastes no time, as Jack releases his submission the Genetic Monster lands a huge Leg-Drop, crushing his opponent. 1…2…Kick Out! Furious, Gargantuan picks up Jack and squeezes him in a crushing Bearhug, forcing the air out of his ruined ribs. He looks like he’s fading when a desperation Head-Butt separates the two men. Jack backs off to the corner, but is crushed by a huge Avalanche. And another! A Third! Jack is suffering, dead on his feet while Gargantuan sprints for the killing blow… The Champ ducks! Jack ensnares the Monsters leg with his own and rolls forward with the Beast.

Calf Killer! Calf Killer! Jack’s got him in a Calf Killer! He’s wrenching back on the leg as the Beast reaches for the ropes, trying to drag Jack along as best he can but the Champion is about ready to tear the muscle from the bone. He taps!

Gargantuan taps!

Jack survived, but he’s in bad shape. Gargantuan rolls out of the ring, humiliated and limping and the referee passes Jack the Championship.

Clutching the belt he’s held most of his professional career and alone in a ring, the ring his family has built over decades of performances.

Jack survives, but he’s hurt and alone in the ring. As the fans chant his name and cheer him on, Jack tries to get to his feet but can’t.

Medical professionals surround him and try and help him up, but it’s obvious the Champion can barely move. The camera pans up and away from the ring and toward Davis Ditterditch and Adrian Garcia.

Adrian Garcia: “An incredible effort from Jack DeColt right there, but he is in a bad way right now. Can he survive another match like that?”

Davis Ditterditch: “Just when he looked down and out, Jack pulls something new out of the bag to win.

But at what cost? I suppose we’ll find out on Sunday, at Title Bout Wrestling!

This being my first GDS thread or diary of any description I'm not hugely familiar with how popular they are or how much activity there is. It's nice to know there's readers out there, I appreciate it!

Title Bout Wrestling. Week 3. January

I’ll be honest with you all, the Doctors all told me not to be here tonight, in fact I’ve been told not to compete until further notice. But who gives a damn what they say? They’re Doctors, not wrestlers and they’re certainly not a DeColt! But onto business…”

Jack is interrupted by the sound of saucy saxophone from the stage. A familiar face swans out, Phillippe LaGrenier, wearing a ridiculous Kimono, his fake tan practically oozes from his skin and a number of medallions are only matched by the thickness of his chest hair.

LaGrenier sashays to the ring and climbs up the step. As he opens his Kimono, it’s clear he’s spent a number of years smuggling budgies as his leopard-print trunks are stuffed to an almost offensive level.

He meanders up to his former teacher and plucks the microphone from his hand.

Phillippe LaGrenier:

“Bonjour, Monsieur Jacque. ‘Ave you missed moi? Your favourite student ‘as finally returned.”</div>

Jack looks wary, LaGrenier might be remembered by some CGC fans as a solid prospect, taught by Jack DeColt himself but others might remember him as the entitled student with a big chip on his shoulder.

<div style="text-align:center;">Phillippe LaGrenier:

“However, Jacque, I ‘ave a question for you. Ou est the lovely Marie? I was hoping to see ‘er again. But alas, it would seem she ‘as finally found herself a real man…”</div>

Jack decks LaGrenier with a huge punch to the face, before picking him up by the throat and snarling into the microphone with the other.

<div style="text-align:center;">Jack DeColt:

“Don’t you DARE bring that up, LaGrenier. You know full well what happened and if you breathe a word of any of it again, I’ll end your damn career.”

</div>

Shocked by the punch but unimpressed, LaGrenier knees Jack in the ribs, picking up the microphone casually as the Champion winces for breath.

<div style="text-align:center;">Phillippe LaGrenier:

“Ooh-la-la, Jacque. ‘Ave I hit a nerve? Poor man”

</div>

LaGrenier plucks the downed Championship from beside Jack and rests it on his own shoulder.

<div style="text-align:center;">Phillippe LaGrenier:

“Oui, oui. Zis will do well. If you want zis back, Jacque you can fight me for it. Tonight.”</div>

Davis Ditterditch: “Holy hell, LaGrenier returns and makes a hell of a statement upon the damaged Champion. Jack can’t possibly take the challenge…Can he?”

Adrian Garcia: “If he does, he’s dumber than he looks. However now, we head to the ring with Bobby Thomas taking on the man he fought to a count out on Friday, Sayeed Ali.”

Bobby Thomas vs Sayeed Ali.

As was the case on Friday, Bobby and Sayeed go toe-to-toe with technical holds and physical brawling. Neither man claims an advantage until Sayeed pushed Thomas back into the ropes, tangling his arms up tight in the ropes. The referee tries to free the helpless Thomas, but Ali starts striking him with jabs and punches to the jaw, face, temple. Haymaker, jabs and forearm strikes dizzy Thomas. The referee finally releases “All Business” and he falls into Ali’s arms barely conscious. Just conscious enough to be hoisted for a GBH Driver. 1…2…3 Ali wins.

Sayeed Ali wins in 11:01 with the GBH Driver.

In the office of Alex DeColt, the Owner of CGC sits behind a desk, signing a pile of documents one by one with a quill and ink. In bursts Thrill Seeker, sending a number of papers flying as he does so.

“Alex, you’ve seen me the last few weeks. Hell. It’s hard to miss me, I have been tearing it up here the last few weeks in CGC. I’ve kicked the ass of your littlest brother and I’m going to kick your Champions ass too. My time is now, understand me? I demand a world title shot.”

Alex dips his quill in the ink and continues signing papers, apparently oblivious to the ranting intruder. He raises his gaze only for a moment and gestures to the door for Thrill Seeker.

Alex DeColt:

“Listen here, Lee. You’ve pinned Ricky but he can still come back in your series. You underestimate him, and that’s going to cost you big.

Now. Go get ready for your match.”

Seeker opens his mouth, probably to correct Alex on his name, but instead leaves with a slammed door, sending even more papers flying in his wake.

Elsewhere backstage, Poison walks down the hallway when-once again- he is plucked out of the air by Gargantuan and held high in the air with his feet dangling.

This will be the last time we have this conversation: I win or I’ll destroy you and your precious little cheerleader.”</div>

With Joey still raised off the ground, Gargantuan plants his fist through the wall an inch or so to the right of where Poison’s face is held, before dropping the Charismatic One.

As the Monster leaves, Poison rubs his neck and sweeps the hair out of his face, clearly conflicted between his do-gooder manager and the Superheavyweight’s threats.

Nathan Black vs. Zeus Maxmillion

The Black Dog tries to take Zeus apart with solid mat-wrestling but sheer power and force of will prevent Black from taking advantage. Instead, Zeus rattles through his power moves like a highlight reel. Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! Olympian Clutch! Nathan Black taps.

Zeus Maxmillion wins in 5:03 with the Olympian Clutch.

The referee raises Zeus’s hand, but revving engines alert him to the presence of the DWB’s emerging at the top of the ramp.

Zeus looks ready to fight and gestures that the DWB’s should join him in the ring, before they do however,

Stevie sprints to ringside-and between the two enormous bikers- in support of his partner. With the odds even, Grease Hogg and Lead Belly get a good look at their competition before smirking and leaving once more.

Returning to Alex’s office, the door bursts open and in steps Canadian Champion Blockbuster. The General Manager puts his quill down, places his hands together and waits for whatever the Metal-Madman has to say.

“DeColt! Did you see what that little punk Identity did to me on Friday? He tried to end my damn career with that Knee of his and I demand he be fired as a danger to his betters, like myself the CGC Canadian Champion.”

Alex wipes his hand over his face and sighs, clearly tired considering getting a lock on his door.

Alex DeColt:

“From what I saw, Blockbuster, Ian innovated something new to take down his much bigger, stronger opponent. Just like Jack did with Gargantuan, he changed his game to win against the odds. Looking at the teacher, and then his student it looks like you never listened to Jack in the Powerhouse did you?”</div>

Blockbuster is outraged, unbuckling his title belt he starts raving and ranting while waving the Canadian Championship.

<div style="text-align:center;">Alex DeColt:

“Now, since you’re here. Ian Identity has a pinfall victory over you and has been on a big roll recently, I think it’s time you defend that title you so proudly wear. You’re in action against Ian, next.”</div>

A look of horror passes over the Metalhead’s face, he opens his mouth to complain but slings the Canadian title over his shoulder and slams the door behind him. More papers fly through the office.

The General Manager observes the way the fluttering paper falls through the air and thinks for a moment.

The Canadian Champion is clearly rattled by Alex DeColt’s earlier comments, and rushes blindly into every trap laid by Identity in his attempts to steamroller the young challenger. Blockbuster catches Identity and throws him from one corner to the other, biel after biel after biel followed by clotheslines, boots and lariats rattle Identity until he barely knows where he is.

Not backing down, Identity fires back with some jabs, even winding up for a bionic elbow that knocks Blockbuster down for the first time. Identity mounts the second turnbuckle and lets fly with a leaping lariat. The Canadian Champion is down, Identity lines up and…

Knee Trembler! Right to the head! 1…2…3! A new Champion!

Ian Identity wins the Canadian Title in 8:04 with an Un-Named Knee Trembler.

The referee passes Ian Identity the Championship and he clutches it to his chest tightly.

The same title held by Chris Morrisette and Ed Monton was in his hands.

Jenny joins him in the ring, sitting beside the new Champion, Identity pulls her close in celebration, holding both his manager and title close, while Blockbuster marches up the ramp. Furious.

Ricky DeColt vs Thrill Seeker

3-1 down in the series, Ricky is a little more cautious than normal, giving Seeker every advantage to bounce around the ring, hitting arm-drags and springboards and dropkicks until Ricky’s blood is boiling.

A huge haymaker knocks Seeker out of the air and Ricky sets to work stomping the life out of him in an uncharacteristically aggressive beat down until the referee pry’s them apart. Back on the attack again, Ricky batters Seeker with more signature DeColt brawling until the poor referee has to separate them once more. Just as the referee pulls Ricky away, Seeker hawks and spits at him, sending the youngest DeColt berserk. Seeker rolls out of the ring immediately and begins running from the maddened DeColt, Ricky follows him into the ring and gets a big slap across his face for the trouble, angering him further.

Ricky reaches for the DeColt 45 but Seeker wriggles free and follows up with a big Enziguri that rattles Ricky. An impressive sequence of kicks follow, and Ricky is dead on his feet, too angry to counter but too slow to catch up to Thrill Seeker. The Dynamic One sets up for the Daredevil Drop and….he hits it! 1…2…3.

Thrill Seeker wins in 15:57 with the Daredevil Drop.

4-1 in the series and the final winner, Seeker celebrates his win with typical smug arrogance by taking a big bow in front of the crowd, to a chorus of boos.

Skip Beau and his new-found friend Drake Young have been on a considerable roll lately, and it only goes from strength to strength when the Montreal Mafia are led into Big-Boots by Skip, knocking the diminutive duo down. Skip tags in Drake, who gets catapulted by his huge friend onto Ayers for the pinfall. 1…2…3.

Davis Ditterditch: “Main Event time now, and Phillipe LaGrenier returns to battle his hurt mentor Jack DeColt after his brutal war two days ago at Elimination, Jack’s never been more vulnerable.”

Phillipe sashays to the ring once again, saxophone music and swaying hips with the stolen CGC World Championship around his waist, he drips confidence, but it could very easily be fake tan he’s dripping too. Jack hobbles out afterward, a little less energetic than usual, all business tonight it seems.

Locking up in the ring, LaGrenier controls Jack with old school grappling. Taking advantage with knees and elbows to the chest, LaGrenier surprises by dominating with hard blows that wind the Champion. He locks Jack in an Abdominal Stretch, looking supremely confident LaGrenier plants a big kiss on Jack’s cheek and starts driving elbows into Jack’s taped ribs.

The fans start chanting Jack’s name and despite the rib damage, the Champion escapes and Hip-Tosses LaGrenier into the corner. Jack hits the DeColt Trio! Throat Thrust, Palm Thrust, European Uppercut! LaGrenier is stunned!

Jack ducks a panicked clothesline, hooks LaGrenier’s leg with his own and…Calf Killer! LaGrenier taps!

The match is over, LaGrenier tapped. But Jack refuses to release the hold, enraged by the brash youngsters earlier comments about Marie, the Champion looks ready to cripple his returning student.

Blind to the referee’s protests, Jack releases the hold just in time for Thrill Seeker to run in, chair in hand. Dissuaded by the Champion’s back not being turned, Seeker grabs LaGrenier and pulls him from the ring, dragging him up the ramp while the Champion raises the title high in the ring.

He’s right. Where LeGrenier’s arm is draped over his shoulder, an orange line of fake tan has oozed onto Seeker, like an oily scarf around his neck. Seeker drops LaGrenier like a bad habit, and he goes down without complaint, quietly groaning on the floor.

So what do we think to Phillipe LaGrenier? I think the Lounge Lizard French-Canadian pervert is my favourite character I've ever written. Ever. His Gimmick is rated "Great" and he's top of my relatively short NBT list in-game. Love it.

Up later this week will be a Kayfabe-esque article written for the CGC Website about the Powerhouse Training facility, with notes from Powerhouse graduates themselves. Looking to do a few things like that. Adds flavour, if anyone is interested in that sort of world building. (Good God, I am.)

Thrill Seeker lets rip with a huge slap that echoes down the halls of the arena, knocking his partner to the floor.

Seeker walks away, as Nelson clutches his cheek, deeply hurt by his former friends words.

Sayeed Ali proved to be a brutally efficient fighter against Bobby Thomas last week, and now David Newton is on the hit list. Newton confounds Ali with headscissor take-downs and arm-drags until a huge right hand grounds the high flier and the beat down commences. The rookie tries to take flight but can’t, every attempt at bringing the speed up sees him get knocked down and out. Sayeed Ali ties Newton up in the ropes and starts punching the rookies unprotected head. By the time the referee untangles him, Newton is out. Falling straight into the arms of Ali, he gets drilled with the GBH Driver. 1…2…3

New CGC Canadian Champion Ian Identity is at a table, apparently playing poker with his beautiful manager Jenny Playmate, an enormous pile of chips is in the middle of the table, as well as the Canadian Championship. Jenny puts down her cards and calls her client. Jenny’s got a flush, Ian has a full house. Throwing up his hands in celebration, Identity cheers and sweeps the huge chip pile over, with the CGC Championship, Jenny looks disappointed but gives Ian a small clap.

All of a sudden, saxophone music starts playing and Phillipe LaGrenier practically thrusts his way into shot. Completely ignoring the Canadian Champion, LaGrenier looks straight at Jenny’s chest shamelessly.

Drake Young wanders through catering with his buddy Skip Beau and happens upon the Predators at a table.

Food before them, neither talks, neither eats…neither blinks, actually. Drake pulls up a chair and sits between the two stoic statues.

He grabs a fork and turns the collar up on his blazer, and begins narrating the epic stare-down ala a 1980’s horse rating commentator.

Tensions grow, time passes and the inevitable blink is on its way. You can feel it, its building, like a wave its picking up momentum…its going to happen…soon…NATHAN BLINKED.

OH MY GOD, THE BLACK DOG BLINKED FIRST, HOLY CRAP.

Drake is going ballistic with excitement, screaming “I knew it, I knew it! Yesssss!” as excitedly as a puppy when both Predators turn their gaze to the young troublemaker.

Black grabs his wrist, Warren grabs Drakes hair and both are about to knock out Young when a shadow looms over the table. It’s Skip Beau. Seeing the imposing shadow of Young’s enormous friend, both men let go of the rookie. Drake rushes to his friend’s side and Skip crosses his arms.

“If you want to touch my friend like that, it’d better be in a ring, or else there will be a problem. A big problem.”</div>

The Predators stand up and leave, not saying anything as the usual.

Thrill Seeker vs Shane Nelson.

In spite of his earlier actions, Thrill Seeker offers a hand to his former friend and Nelson accepts, desperate to prove his friend is still the man he knew years ago. He gets a kick to the gut for his troubles and placed in the worlds tightest headlock, grinding away at the energetic Nelson.

It takes time for Shane to shake off the anaconda-like grip of Thrill Seeker, but when he does it gets fast quick. Irish Whip, float over, leapfrog, Seeker leaps through Shane’s legs, Shane kips up and…stand-off.

Nelson extends a hand to his partner after the exchange but Seeker kicks it away to a chorus of boos. Nelson goes for a dropkick and that’s ducked, Seeker attempts a Hurricanrana but Nelson rolls through into a pin, 1…2 Seeker counters into a cradle 1…2…Nelson counters back 1…2… Seeker escapes. The Dynamic One rolls out of the ring but is followed up by a Suicide Dive that just misses by inches.

Nelson crashes hard into the guard rail, while Thrill Seeker waits for the count-out. Nelson just makes it in time but marches straight into a Daredevil Drop! Thrill Seeker…doesn’t go for the pin.

What the hell? Instead he looks down at his former partner with contempt, he pulls Nelson by the hair and looks him in the eye, before kneeing Nelson in the gut.

With Nelson buckled over by the blow, Seeker takes a run up off the ropes, jumps up in the air, foot on the back of Shane’s head and…CURB STOMP. Oh my God! He covers him 1…2…3 Nelson is hurt.

Joey Poison is backstage, warming up with some final stretches. The nerves in the air are tangible at best as Faith paces back and forth.

Joey runs his hands through his hair, deep in thought as his manager wears a hole into the floor with her constant pacing, she eventually settles and takes Joey’s taped hands in her own before looking her long-time client and friend dead in the eyes.

“You still have a choice here, you know. Remember what I told you at the start of the year. I believe in you, Joey. You can always do the right thing, and I’m always going to be here whatever happens. You can do this.”</div>

Poison rises from his seat, with what could be a smirk on his lips. He throws a few forearms at an imaginary foe and leads Faith by the hand to the Main Event.

Jack and Ricky DeColt vs Gargantuan and Joey Poison

The DeColt brothers demonstrate an absolute clinic in tag-team wrestling, Gargantuan is controlled by classic tag-team tactics and Poison is battered with the hit-and-run pop-inducing power moves that the CGC fans know and love.

Gargantuan is tagged in and batters Ricky from pillar to post, a Military Press Slam earns him a 2 count and a Reverse Powerslam has to be broken up by Jack. Ricky leaps through the Giants legs and tags in Jack, forcing Gargantuan to tag in Joey in return. The two exchange quick grapples and mat wrestling with neither taking advantage until Gargantuan begins screaming at Joey from the apron, reminding him of his fate should they not win.

A poke to the eyes and some strategic cheating allows Poison to take control, much to Faith’s disgust. Gargantuan is tagged in, and the beatdown ensues, power move after power move crush Jack into the canvas. Ringside, Faith is having a heated argument with her client until Gargantuan grabs his errant partner by the hair and pulls him onto the canvas.

Moment of truth time, Faith or Freedom? Joey picks Faith and stuns Gargantuan on the ropes before taking his manager and leaving up the ramp, to a chorus of cheers. He just turned on Gargantuan!

Stunned by the ropes, Gargantuan is vulnerable. Ricky springboards in with a high knee, knocking the monster to one knee! Jack hooks the Beasts leg. Calf Killer! Calf Killer! Gargantuan can’t get to the ropes. He taps!

Jack and Ricky DeColt win by submission in 15:08 with a Calf Killer.

Jack and Ricky celebrate in the ring. Jack has vanquished his Goliath and has his Championship and brother at his side, while Gargantuan clutches his leg, glaring at the entrance ramp he mouths curses on both Faith and Poison.

Davis Ditterditch: “Joey has made his choice, and the DeColts pick up a big win. But you can bet Gargantuan isn’t going to let this slide, Joey is going to have to watch his back from now on.”

I've decided to scrap predictions, at least for now. I feel like things are horribly predictable as are, and when they're not it feels like a shameless swerve to go against expectation. I don't know.

I will say this, I've played in the data a little beyond the Wrestlefestival and am really, really, REALLY quite happy with were this is going, so long may it continue.

Thoughts and Influences...

I was going to post a little review of how things were going and what made me want to do this and what I do and don't like in the project so far, but it seemed far too smarky.

But then I remembered, this is my diary. Sooo, if you like 'behind the scenes' then this might be for you...

1) Back before he seemed to fall off the face of GDS Forums, Self's 2013 CGC diary was one of my favourite bits of writing across all media and I'd thoroughly recommend anyone who likes CGC, TEW or general good-wrestling-write-ups and brilliant wit.

(All similarities to either CGC diary of Self's are purely coincidental, CGC characters are played by actors and do not reflect the lives of the people playing them. Do not try this at home.)

2) Speaking of Self's diary, I spent a few hours reading the diary one night and the thought of Drake Young causing trouble backstage was 100% the thing that made me first want to start this. The skit where Young narrates the stare-off between Black and Technique was the very first thing that I knew I wanted to write, and the rest is history.

3) Joey Poison is very much an extension of the Protagonist I have in a separate project. Doesn't speak, only with little gestures and actions. If I had the motivation, his relationship with Faith might develop further. Who knows? Not sure if I could do a semi-love-wrestling-story much credit, we'll see.

4) God I love Ryan Powell. I can't imagine him as anything other than a whiny entitled dick. So his character and motivations can be summed up in a single sentence: "I deserve all the respect but do nothing to deserve it". He's got an interesting genesis coming up over the coming months/

5) Heather B has just joined up as a super-marky sidekick for Ricky DeColt.

In a trial game I did of this, she was a valet for Christian Price (Who after Self's CGC Diary, seriously deserved a sweet adoring girlfriend and and I will fight who says otherwise) I just love the idea of a borderline obsessive fans view on the backstage world, meeting her heroes while Ricky does his best to stop her causing way too much trouble.

6) There's been lots of new moves, too. Jack DeColt with his DeCalf Killer as a new alternative finisher to the End of Days (Canonically a Bow-And-Arrow-Dragon-Sleeper, how does that even work??) Gargantuan has his turnbuckle Snake Eyes. Sayeed Ali suspends his opponents in the ropes and hammers them in the head for the duration of a five count. Brutal signatures that divert my diary from others (Hopefully)

7) Finally, I've been putting some real effort into the detail of the diary. All tweets from performers are dated and timed to when the shows would actually take place in game. Match write-ups are (at least attempted to) have some real depth and back and forth and I really hope the stupid enthusiasm I have for this project comes across in reading.

I've booked beyond the Wrestlefestival and have scripted up to Luck of the Draw, and I've no intention of stopping soon.

Hope anyone that checks on this finds it interesting, if nothing else.

Title Bout Wrestling. Week 1. February

The packed Quebec crowd audibly moans as Thrill Seeker’s music hits and the smug super-star meanders to the ring with a microphone in hand.

It takes a number of minutes for the-man-formerly-known-as-Lee-Rivera to speak, as he indulges in the boos of the crowd that occur every time the microphone is raised to his mouth.

Eventually, the risk taker gets a word out and in his patronising tone reminds the crowd:

Thrill Seeker:

“You see, Quebec, if you got off your damn sofas once in a while and actually went outside you might find some success in your life before you die. You need to be a little more like me and a little less like Shane Nelson. Shane lives in the past just like all you DeColt worshiping losers that can’t accept that time is over. My time though? My time is now, and Shane Nelson had to learn that the hard way.”

Seeker turns to face the titantron, upon which the finish of last week’s match plays.

Nelson, winded and hurt by a harsh knee reaches for his former partner, but Thrill Seeker runs the rope and Curb Stomps his former partner into the mat. A slow motion replay shows the sickening way Nelsons head snaps against the canvas.

Thrill Seeker looks on coldly.

“That’s right, that’s what happens when you mess with the Thrill Seeker. That is what happens when you-“

Seeker is interrupted by the thunderous riff of Jack DeColt’s music. The champion walks out, title around his waist instead of bandages, but his steps aren’t as assured as normal.

Jack DeColt:

“Just be quiet, Lee. You talk a big game, but you’ve never won a singles title in CGC let alone the World Title. Sure you beat Ricky in your best of seven, but you had to cheat to do it and every accomplishment you’ve had has been with Shane Nelson by your side. Yeah, you’re good. But you’re not Champion good.”

Thrill Seeker:

“And look who’s talking! The King of the Mountain himself, Mr DeColt. I have a fact for you, Jack. Old. You’re getting old, just look at those ribs of yours. How long have they been injured now? 3 months and they’re still not feeling better? Just think, 5 or 10 years ago an injury like that would be walked off with a bottle of whisky down your neck and smashed over your head before driving to the next town? Your time is up, Jack. It’s time to step aside and let the new faces of CGC take over, or I’ll put you down like Shane.”

Jack DeColt:

“That’s tall talk, Lee. You can prove that in the ring tonight, it’s me and you in the Main Event and you better bring your A-game.”

The crowd pops at the announcement of the hot Main Event while Jack moves to the back as Seeker burns a hole into him with a hateful gaze.

Davis Ditterditch: “Ryan Powell has been on a downward spiral the last few weeks but seems to have met a kindred spirit in Phillipe LaGrenier, can they derail the momentum of CGC’s Odd Couple, Zeus and Stevie?”

Zeus and Stevie vs Ryan Powell and Phillipe LaGrenier

It’s hard to say which team looks more unusual, the tanned and muscular Greek with the high-flying sidekick or the kimono-wearing-budgie-smuggling Harassment-Lawsuit and the Erratic Misanthrope. It’s the latter that take the advantage early, dominating Stevie with well executed tag-team wrestling until Grayson can barely stand.

LaGrenier is about to hoist Grayson up for the Quebec Arrow when Powell blind-tags himself in, Stevie sees his chance and leaps for the tag. He gets it! Zeus lays out the two villains with clotheslines, one, another, a third!

The duo are stunned, Grayson throws LaGrenier from the ring and wipes him out with a plancha as Zeus spins Powell like a pizza-dough into a sick Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker before locking Powell in the Olympian Clutch. He taps!

Donte Dunn and Hailey Hunter are backstage, as Donte stretches he chats with his manager Hailey, to whom he owes much of his success in recent months.

Suddenly there’s a knock on the locker-room door that Hailey answers, it’s a deliveryman. Confused, Miss Hunter signs for the package before screaming as the deliveryman opens the box and slams its contents into the young woman’s face. It’s a custard pie.

Donte tries to find the deliveryman, but he’s long since fled. Looking in the bottom of the box, there’s a note. “To Donte, Love from Whippy” The Caribbean Crusader is furious and his lady is distraught.

Oh, it’s on.

Adrian Garcia: “Joey Poison showed real guts last week by betraying the monster Gargantuan in his match. It’s just a shame we’re going to get to see those guts first hand when Gargantuan gets his revenge”

Davis Ditterditch: “He didn’t betray Gargantuan, Garcia. He stood up for himself, and he looks to cement this new chapter with a victory; lets head to the ring.”

Joey Poison vs Antonio Del Veccio

Technical wrestling starts the contest slowly until the authentic Italian pokes Poison in the eyes before battering him closely. Every attempt at a comeback is thwarted until a downed Joey sees his manager at ringside, cheering him on. Inspired, Joey fires back with an Enziguri, before drilling the stunned Mobster with a flying Springboard Forearm. Del Veccio is down quickly wrapped in the Antidote Web by the veteran. 1…2…3!

Faith raises her clients arm in the ring when a metallic howl pierces the air. Gargantuan’s theme. The monster eclipses the light from the stage and casts his shadow down the ramp. Poison ushers Faith from the ring and stands his ground in the face of the monster. It’s no use, as Gargantuan plucks the cruiserweight out of the air and nails him with the Ultimate Backbreaker!

He’s not done though, as Gargantuan tears the padding off a turnbuckle, picks Poison up and…Snake Eyes! Straight into the steel like a lawn dart! The sinister superheavyweight stands tall over his former reluctant ally.

Backstage, Ricky DeColt is looking quite dejected, when the door to his locker-room bursts open. In steps an enthusiastic fan, who practically bounces with excitement.

Super-Fan:

“Ohmigod! Ohmigod! Ohmigawwwwwwwd! Ricky DeColt! Like. Oh. My. God. I’m totally your biggest fan! Jeez, you’revencuterinpersonnnnnnnnnnn…”

Security are hot on the tails of the bubbly fan, as they burst into the locker-room and apologise profusely to the young DeColt before trying to escort the woman out of the room.

Amused, Ricky waves the security out of the room before standing in front of his visitor.

Ricky DeColt:

“So you’re a big fan then? Fine, you can stay. Just as long as you don’t cause any trouble, you can hang out.”

The Super-Fan squeals with glee and leaps into Ricky’s arms ala Scooby-Doo.

Super Fan:

“Ohmigod. Thank you. Thank you. Thank youuuuu. You won’t regret this! I’ve been watching CGC for years, I’ve always wanted to be here and I really think I can help you too! You’remyfavouriteDeColtlikeseriously. I’m Heather, by the way.”

Ricky looks pleasantly surprised by the young woman’s enthusiasm, and more than a little uncomfortable when Heather squeezes her hero with a tight hug.

Ricky DeColt:

“Welcome to CGC, Heather…I guess.”

Donte Dunn vs Whippy the Clown.

Slimy Clown Whippy confounds Donte with classic heel tactics while Hailey Hunter watches on, arms crossed and lips pouted in annoyance. A corner splash is ducked by Donte and it allows the Barbadian to battle back. Lariat-Lariat-Dropkick! Kip-up! Donte leaps in the air, grabs Whippy and…Sunny Daze! 1…2…3! Dunn gets the pin. Hailey joins him in the ring and raises his arm, before giving him a big kiss on the cheek.

Donte Dunn wins in 11:28 with the Sunny Daze.

Backstage, in the barren wastelands of the CGC midcarder…or catering as its better known, Drake Young is messing on with a selfie-stick. Well, I say it’s a selfie stick, it’s more like 4 or 5 selfies sticks stuck end-to-end and boy is it unstable.

In an attempt to get the perfect angle it swings from side to side…to side…to side and.

Oh.

It collides with Sayeed Ali several tables down.

The East Side Assassin calmly steps up from his table, walks behind the terrified and extremely apologetic Young and…slams his head into the table with a sickening crunch, Drake is out.

Moments later, Skip Beau runs to his friends side and has to be restrained by security before he tried attacking Ali. The East-Side Assassin returns to his table and his meal as the medical staff attend to Drake.

Davis Ditterditch: “Christian Price is on a crusade to get a rematch with Dan DaLay, and looks to warm up by taking on fellow big-man Blockbuster. However, Blockbuster is on a mission to get his Canadian Title back from young Ian Identity. Something’s got to give here!”

Christian Price vs Blockbuster

Wild fists are traded in the middle of the ring between the two big men, but Price is the one who gains the advantage. Blockbuster rolls out of the ring and furiously marches up the ramp, until Ian Identity walks out onto the stage with the Canadian Championship around his waist and his fists taped.

Incensed, Blockbuster turns back to the ring and is wiped out by a Suicide Dive from Price. The Stud rolls Blockbuster back in the ring and stuns him with a number of European Uppercuts before getting a close 2 count from a High-Angle German Suplex. Price gets him up for the Giant Swing! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 rotations! Price Check! 1…2…3

Christian Price wins in 7:11 with the Price Check.

Skip Beau vs Sayeed Ali.

Beau’s fury powers through Ali’s sneaky brawling until a thumb to the eye stuns the big Powerhouse Graduate. From then on, it’s a cold dissection with body shots and haymakers that gets uncomfortable to watch quickly.

Clearly stunned, Beau gets tangled in the ropes and Ali pummels and pummels to his hearts content until the referee gets the younger man untangled. Beau falls into the arms of Ali and gets drilled with the GBH Driver! 1…2…3. A decisive win by the cold-hearted Ali.

Jack still looks a little sore in the mid-section and Thrill Seeker starts with hit and run tactics that target the Champions Achilles-heel. Quick, sharp kicks sting the ribs and ‘Ranas and Headscissors confound Jack until it’s obvious he can’t keep up with the King of the Springboard.

That is until Seeker waits to taunt one time too many and a DeColt Thrust stuns Seeker in mid-air. Mounted in the corner, the crowd counts along with Jacks fists: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6…Seeker hits a Powerbomb! 1…2…Kick Out!

Frustrated, Rivera starts stomping a mud-hole into Jacks chest until the referee pulls the rabid challenger off him. A Corner Shining Wizard rocks Jack, Seeker hits a second, and a third. Seeker sets up for a high velocity dropkick but crashes hard when Jack ducks out of the way.

Time for a DeColt Trio! Throat Thrust! Palm Thrust! European Uppercut! Seeker is stunned, the Champion hooks his leg and rolls through for the Calf Killer-no! Seeker scurries out the ring. He springboards back in, but Jack catches the challenger and drills him with a Powerslam. 1…2…Kick Out!

Seeker is frustrated and as Jack clambers to his feet, Seeker hits a tremendous Low-Blow to the Champion.

Jack DeColt wins in 15:26 by DQ after a Low-Blow.

Seeker emerges from the stage, and struts down the ramp as cockily as possible, taking regular breaks to pause and taunt a variety of fans. He collects his microphone, and joins Jenny in the ring.

Jenny Playmate:

“Erm…thanks, I guess, Lee. Now onto your match last week”</div>

Seeker shushes Jenny harshly with a raised finger and a hiss.

“Listen here, Playmate. You might have known me as Lee Rivera back when I was a happy-go-lucky loser like the rest of those idiots backstage, but now I’m a winner, now I’m the number one contender, now you can call me what I am: Thrill Seeker.”</div>

Jenny seems flustered, but carries on her attempt at an interview undeterred.

“Let’s talk about your match last week with the CGC World Champion Jack DeColt; while you lost the match you hit a devastating strike against the champion and now he isn’t here this week as a result.”</div>

The crowd boos at the revelation, while Thrill Seeker basks in the hate, like a big bald plant photosynthesising.

<div style="text-align:center;">Thrill Seeker:

“That’s right, Jenny. I told you last week and I proved it in our match. Jack. Is. Old. He can’t keep anymore and that’s what’s going to cost him when I drive his head into the canvas and take MY place as the crown jewel of CGC.”

Jenny Playmate:

“Well, two weeks ago you hit Shane Nelson with that devastating Curb Stomp and he hasn’t been seen since, what if Jack DeColt isn’t fit for your match come Friday at Luck of the Draw?.”

Thrill Seeker:

“Quite simple, if he can’t defend his title, then he can’t be Champion. He can either forfeit the match and nurse his broken body, or he can turn up on Friday and I’ll end his career. Now, I have a warm up match with Jack’s little apprentice, if you’ll excuse me.”</div>

Seeker drops the microphone and leaves the ring, leaving Jenny and the crowd to consider the depth of his threats.

Newton is brave, extremely brave and takes it to the Monster with dropkicks and technical wrestling until the most misguided Arm-Drag in the history of pro-wrestling allows Gargantuan to slam the prospect hard into the mat. Biel Toss with ease, Military Press with contempt and a Body Slam with malice demolishes poor Newton.

Slow and calculating, Gargantuan tears off the protective cover off the steel ring post, picks the young wrestler over his shoulder and…full steam ahead. Snake Eyes! Straight into the unprotected metal ring, Newton is out! Gargantuan picks up the lifeless Newton and (not unlike Bane from the Dark Knight) crushed his opponent with the Ultimate Backbreaker! 1…2…3.

Gargantuan wins in 5:05 with the Ultimate Backbreaker.

Skip Beau shyly says hello. Drake Young tells a knock-knock joke that has Heather laughing to tears and Donte Dunn politely signs autographs for the young superfan and then there’s Ryan Powell, who is less enthusiastic.

Ricky impatiently rolls his eyes and marches up to Powell.

Flustered, Ryan waves his arms erratically and departs, leaving Heather to look adoringly at her hero standing up for her.

Heather joins Ricky at ringside, which only makes Powell’s blood boil further, and he runs into repeated Clotheslines and a Dropkick that knocks him clear of the ring entirely. Ricky follows through with a Baseball Slide that wipes out the Shooting Star.

Powell is rolled back into the ring by Ricky but takes advantage with an eye poke before working over Ricky with a series of erratic stomps. Over and over and over and over, that is until The Shooting Star takes a moment to berate the concerned fan at ringside, Heather B. The small reprieve is all Ricky needs. DeColt Trio! Thigh Kick, Gut Kick, Step-Up Enziguri! Powell is stunned and falls into the DeColt 45. 1…2…3!

Ricky celebrates in the ring, while Heather has an emotional meltdown stepping into the ring to raise his hand, happy to tears she leaps into his arms for a big hug, Ricky looks embarrassed.

Sayeed Ali vs Bobby Thomas

Thomas is too fired up to take Ali to the mat, instead leading with heavy handed brawling that rocks and surprises Ali. That is, until Ali lets rip with an enormous Head-butt that stuns Thomas and busts the East Side Assassin open, a small trickle of blood descends from his forehead as Thomas tries to steady himself on the ropes. From then on, Ali gets to work with massive Haymakers and Knee-Strikes until the Locker-room Veteran can barely defend himself. GBH Driver! Thomas is down and…Ali doesn’t go for the cover! What’s going on?

The East Side Assassin drabs Bobby’s body to the bottom turnbuckle and places his head next to the ring post. Completely calm, Ali rolls out the ring and…Big Boot! Sayeed Ali just booted Thomas’ head into the ring post!

Ali re-enters the ring, as the lifeless body of Bobby Thomas slithers out of the ring. Content for the count-out, Ali waits in the corner as the referee grimly counts the fall.

Sayeed Ali wins in 10:37 via Count Out.

Donte Dunn vs Thill Seeker.

The penultimate contest of this episode of Title Bout Wrestling features two of the most athletically gifted men in Canada, and the first five minutes of the match reflect that. A highlight reel of flashy sequences, kip-ups and stand offs get the audience to their feet in appreciation until Thrill Seeker knees Donte in the gut and slaps on the worlds tightest headlock.

As the Barbadian Barbarian struggles, Seeker takes time to taunt and berate the audience, reminding them what is waiting for Jack DeColt at Luck of the Draw.

Dunn struggles and eventually escapes the hold and explodes. Lariat-Lariat-Dropkick-Kip-Up! Donte is on fire! He attempts the Sunny Daze but Seeker connects with an eye-poke behind the referees back. Daredevil Drop! 1…2…3!

Thrill Seeker wins in 12:05 with the Daredevil Drop.

Seeker has won the match but his message has not been sent. From ringside, Seeker grabs a chair and mounts it under Donte’s head. He bounds off the rope and it ready to leap for the Curb Stomp but Hailey Hunter slides in the ring and huddles over her client’s body, screaming for Seeker to stop.

Ian Identity and Christian Price vs Dan DaLay and Blockbuster.

A brutal contest between four big hitters. DaLay fights with heavy handed brawling, Blockbuster hits his power moves, Identity uses his wits and quickness and Christian Price uses his explosive power to send both big men from the ring but it’s clear the earlier assault is taking its toll.

Any attempt at gaining momentum is swiftly halted by sneaky cheating from DaLay and (what could easily be DaLay’s son) brutal strikes from Blockbuster. Identity is isolated and is slowly being worked over with big winding punches to the body and innumerable slams, until the Canadian Champion uses his admirable in-ring IQ to dive between DaLay’s legs and make the tag!

Price comes in like a house on fire and rocks DaLay and Blockbuster both with Shoulder Tackles and European Uppercuts. DaLay rolls from the ring but is followed by Price with a huge Suicide Dive, Blockbuster attempts to help his partner up but both men are wiped out by Identity as he launches himself from the top rope.

As Price rolls DaLay back into the ring, Blockbuster throws Identity all around ringside before ultimately hitting the Busterbomb onto the concrete floor. Identity is out! The Metalhead Hitman grabs Price’s foot as he goes for a Shoulder Tackle, the referee admonishes Blockbuster and that gives DaLay all the time he needs to give Price a huge Low-Blow behind the referee’s back.

The Stud is hoisted up and…DaLay Down! 1…2…3

Dan DaLay and Blockbuster win in 14:45 with the DaLay Down.

The last show before Luck of the Draw ends with the image of Ian Identity in agony outside the ring, and DaLay standing with his foot on the chest of Christian Price.

Results and data will be up when I'm back from work,

Until then I'm curious. Does anyone have any favourite workers? Favourite moves or skits? I'm genuinely curious, been trying to make heels deplorable and faces awesome, interested what my readers think.

Personally I like Jack DeColt's Calf Killer (Or DeCalf Killer as it were)

A believable submission that could take down a monster like Gargantuan rather than the Bow-and-Arrow Dragon Sleeper he uses as the End of Days in WreSpi.
