Rating: N/A </div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="AFgXK1C.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AFgXK1C.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> <img style="max-width:10%; "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/EbaCoZF.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/EbaCoZF.jpg"></a><img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="OmS27dD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OmS27dD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> So here we are......and it’s time for the Rockers to collide once more.....had this been five years ago, no one would have batted an eyelash at the sight of Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty opening up a Pay Per View.....but this isn’t five years ago.....this is 1997.....and seeing Shawn Michaels in any match other than the main event is going to take some getting used to.....although should Shawn retain his Championship tonight, we won’t have to get used to it for very long.....because he will have a date in the Main Event of Wrestlemania, against the 1997 Royal Rumble winner, Scott Steiner....... .......the two men make their customary entrances, before they come face to face in the middle of the ring, and the realisation that The Rockers are currently competing for the biggest prize in all of professional wrestling begins to sink in.....but then the match starts, and all my previous concerns about the quality of this one disappear, because Shawn Michaels puts on the match of his life.....not that Marty didn’t play his part, but make no mistake, this was the Heartbreak Kid show.....I don’t know if it was the fact that he’d been bumped down to curtain jerker, or if he’d just got a point to prove that he can have a good match with anyone, but this could have easily closed the show....... .....Marty has been pretty beat up as of late, mainly at the hands of Vince McMahons Hired Monster Kane.....but picking up the victory on Monday night......(where he and Chris Jericho defeated Shawn Michaels and Lance Storm).....has given tonight’s Challenger quite the spring in his step.....and the Champions cocky demeanour soon disappears as Jannetty takes instant control of the match, countering everything that Michaels attempts and generally getting the crowd fired up, to the point that Shawn has to bail to the outside to seek comfort from Sunny. Marty follows him to the floor and HBK quickly hides behind his valet, before shoving the beautiful blonde towards the Challenger........who catches her in his waiting arms and delivers a big kiss to the horrified KLiQ member, who pitches a fit and tries to slap the taste of her lips of his......but Marty ducks and as Shawn was stalking up behind his opponent, it’s him that eats Sunnys open hand....... .......back inside the ring and Shawn finally manages to take control of the match after Jannetty crashes and burns on a cross body attempt, and he slows the match down, dismantling his opponent while taking the time to arrogantly inform him that the last time he was relevant in wrestling, was when he got his head slammed through the Barber Shop window, courtesy of the Heartbreak Kid......it’s safe to say that Marty is never going to reach the heights of his former partner, but if there’s one thing he does well, it’s sell a beating and draw sympathy from the crowd, and luckily Shawn is happy to dish out that beating....... .......Marty manages to draw a few hope spots out to keep the match alive, and to be fair, it’s his strongest showing since his return from his second stint in rehab, because he manages to kick out of everything that the World Champion can throw at him......and even manages to move out of the way of Michaels patented elbow drop to finally get himself back into the match.......the crowd has been red hot for the whole match, but they really come to life as we go into the home stretch, and almost explode out of their seats when Marty hits the Into the Void Superkick.....and we may well have had a new Champion had Sunny not been there to place Shawn’s foot on the bottom rope to break up the count....... .......Marty drags Michaels to the middle of the ring and goes for the cover again, but Shawn has had too long to recover and manages to get the shoulder up.....Marty slaps the mat in frustration, but he’s going to try again, backing up into the corner where he begins to tune up his own band.......Shawn slowly struggles to his feet but before Jannetty is able to let fly, Sunny again reaches into the ring, hooking onto his ankle to stop the Superkick before it’s even begun......Marty finally manages to kick his leg free and turns to face his opponent, but that’s all the time Shawn needed, and Marty walks straight into the Sweet Chin Music.....and three seconds later, despite Jannetty’s best effort, Shawn Michaels is STILL your WWF Champion, and is surely now heading onto Wrestlemania to meet the Challenge of Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner. Winner: .....and STILL WWF Champion.......Shawn Michaels. He drags Marty to the window on the side of the House and raps on the glass, before again grabbing Marty by the hair, telling him that he put an end to the Rockers by sending him through a window......tonight, he’s putting an end to Marty Jannetty by putting him through another window.......before slamming his opponents head through the (gimmicked) glass........ ..........Marty stays slumped half in/half out of the window, before finally sliding backwards and collapsing to the floor with blood pouring out of a laceration in his head, as Sunny hands Shawn a microphone.......he points down at Jannetty, saying that if this is the best Challenge that the WWF has to offer, then he may as well take the title home and retire now......because there is NOBODY in the entire World Wrestling Federation that can take this belt from around his waist......and that includes Scott Steiner.......because by the end of tonight, the only thing that Scott Steiner will be in any condition to take, is another ass-kicking from the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. Raven looks at Lawler like he was something he’d just stepped in, telling him to worry less about the whereabouts, and worry more about the safety and well-being of Rey Mysterio.....he says that if Lawler crawled out from under that Paper Crown of his and experienced life in the real world for one day, he would realise that “where” and “when” are empty statements......the real world operates in the “here” and the “now”.....and here and now, Raven is about to tear apart Rey Mysterio piece by piece......and as far as Dude Love goes, when the “here” and the “now” dictate it, he will be there.......because if he’s not, it’s Rey Mysterio that will pay for the concurrences of his actions. Rating: A </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="bPirxUr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bPirxUr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="oJqc7jC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oJqc7jC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> If I was shocked by how good a match Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty had earlier, I was even more shocked by the quality and the reaction to this one.....because while Marty Jannetty is nowhere near on the level of Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio is arguably even lower on the totem pole....and Raven is no Shawn Michaels......although saying that, the last time Raven competed in one on one competition on Pay Per View was back in December when he took the Undertaker to the limit in one of the best matches that evening......I thought a lot of that was down to the Deadman, but here we are again, another Pay Per View match, another great performance......so maybe Raven is actually better than people give him credit for....... .........Raven may have been surrounded by the Flock for his earlier interview, but he’s surprisingly alone here.....and that includes Dude Love, who despite Ravens orders to be at ringside, appears to be nowhere to be seen......as I said before though, this was a fantastic match, and the crowd was clearly rooting for the underdog, looking for Mysterio to finally shut the mouth of the man who has spent more time talking here in the WWF than actually wrestling..... ........and Rey certainly takes the Master of the Macabre to the limit, because while Raven May have competed against Light Heavyweight Jerry Lynn on Monday Night, Rey Mysterio is really a competitor unlike anything Raven has faced before.....the speed and agility of Mysterio really gives him the edge in this one, but the aggressive streak of Raven gives him control of the match, after shoving Rey off the top rope, all the way down to the floor below......and on the outside is where Raven excels.....and he really punishes the youngster, bouncing him off the ringside furniture...... ......back inside the ring and Raven continues the offence, telling a nearby camera that Rey Mysterio can thank Mick for this pain......before continuing the attack......he even sets up a steel chair up in the middle of the ring, despite the officials warnings......and sends Rey into the ropes, looking to connect with a drop toe hold to the chair......Mysterio is able to counter it however into a spinning DDT, and it’s Raven that eats the steel.......the official removes the chair and the two men continue to battle, with Mysterio now creeping back into control as he resumes the high flying offence that gave him so much success earlier in the match...... .......unfortunately they don’t call it “high risk” for nothing......and as Mysterio comes comes flying off the top looking for a splash, Raven rolls to one side, leaving his opponent with nothing to connect with but canvas.....he then drags Mysterio to his feet, before quickly finishing him off with the Evenflow DDT for the victory. He drops the chair and rolls Mysterio over, kneeling over his chest and laying in punch after punch to the little luchador, before finally relenting....... ........although clearly he isn’t done, as he drags Rey’s lifeless body from the mat, opens up the steel chair, and places it over Rey’s head.........before positioning him for what would be a lethal Evenflow DDT.......... <img alt="PVk3FwK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PVk3FwK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ........which is when Dude Love finally makes an appearance, as he comes running down the aisle......he slides into the ring and pulls Mysterio out of Ravens grip, pulling the chair off his head and tossing it to one side. Raven looks utterly disgusted at the show of emotion from the Dude......telling him that he wouldn’t have had to do this if Mick had just let his true self out......but the Dude says that he doesn’t have to do this full stop.......then turns to check on Rey.......... ........which is enough for Raven.....who picks up the discarded steel chair and smashes it across the back of the Dude......who turns around just in time to receive a shot straight between the eyes, busting him wide open......The Dude drops to one knee and Raven absolutely nails him with another crashing blow to the head which finally puts the Coolest Cat in the Room on his back. Raven drops to his knees, and much as he just did with Mysterio, begins raining blows onto the open wound of the Dude, screaming “WHAT ABOUT ME? WHAG ABOUT RAVEN?”........before dragging The Dude to his feet, telling him that he asked for one thing.....and Mick couldn’t even give him that........before dropping Mick skull first onto the steel with an Evenflow...... .......Raven exits the ring, leaving a trail of bodies behind him.......and gets half way up the ramp before the voice of Dude Love stops him.......except it doesn’t sound like the Dude at all.......it doesn’t sound like Mankind either........in fact it sounds damn right deranged....... ”.......stop......stop right there you narcissistic son of a bitch............” ......Raven stops in his tracks and turns to face the Dude......except the Dude doesn’t look like he’s all there.......there’s a light gone out behind those eyes, and as the blood streams down his face he slowly pulls himself to his feet......... ”......you think this is a joke.....you think this is what you really want?.......you want Jack?.......if you want Cactus Jack?.........” .........and The Dude rips off his tie-dye to reveal an entirely new shirt underneath....... <img alt="xNCHeK4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xNCHeK4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ”...........you got Cactus Jack............and he won’t ‘have mercy’.......and you won’t ‘have a nice day’.......because he’s going to drag you through broken glass, all the way down to the gates of hell.......and put you out of your misery once and for all..........Bang! Bang!.........” .........and finally.......finally Raven has got what he wants........and he may be smiling now........but whether he’s still smiling when he faces the full madness of Cactus Jack is anyone’s guess. After a decent back and forth battle that saw BOTH teams stretch the rules to their limits, Bret Hart was able to wrap Kama’s long legs up in the Sharpshooter.......Faarooq tried to break it up, only for The Bulldog to send him tumbling to the outside......then The Rock tried to break it up, only for Owen Hart to tackle him and lock in a Sharpshooter of his own........and finally, with Davey Boy holding off the other Nation members, Kama had little option but to concede defeat, submitting to the trademark Hart hold........but that wasn’t the end of the action........ The Harts don’t appear overly concerned by this announcement however......and finally they release their victims, before heading to the back, leaving the entire Nation laying. Ok I can understand that, you need time to prepare when you’re up against two premier athletes like Scott Hall and Sean Waltman........so how about, in one weeks time? Is that long enough to prepare?......” .......again the masked men huddle, and again they come up shaking their heads......this time however, Vince appears to be getting a little annoyed....... ”.......I think maybe something is getting lost in translation here.....I mean, I don’t speak Spanish......but you know what I’m saying right? He drives Austin into the ring post, then charges at him, but Stone Cold moves and it’s Kane that eats the steel.....and that was much the tone of the match.....each man would hit a move, try a move, miss a move....neither could really sustain any prolonged period of offence, although in fairness as the match progressed, it was Austin looking the worse for wear out of the two men, because whatever Stone Cold threw at him, the Big Red Monster just kept coming..... ......the match goes on and Rude declares that the longer this match goes, the better chance we have if seeing Kane pick up the victory.....because McMahon’s Hired Monster can take everything that Steve Austin can throw at him....and then some.....Austin on the other hand already looks the worse for wear, and there’s no way that he can continue to take this onslaught.....Jim Ross disagrees however....stating that Austin can and will find the chink in Kane’s armour.....and when he does, he’ll finally slay that Big Red Dragon once and for all (way to mix your metaphors Jim)....... .......the pinfall attempts are few and far between so far, with the two men more interested in hurting each other rather than pinning their opponent, so all the official has really had to do thus far, is keep out of harms way and try not to get hurt......unfortunately, by the end of the match, even that wasn’t possible......because as Austin sidestepped a Big Boot attempt, the referee took the full force of Kane’s foot right in the face, knocking him out cold....... ........with no official, Austin and Kane continue their battle on the outside, which Kane gets the better of, hoisting Austin high up in the air with a Chokeslam, slamming Stone Cold down so hard on the steel entrance ramp that Austin actually bounces slightly, before rolling down towards ringside...........and that is when the lights go out........... ....::::!!!!GONG!!!!::::.... .........and the crowd erupts.......... ....::::!!!!GONG!!!!::::.... .....because when they come back on....... <img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> The Deadman is stood at the top of the entrance ramp......and he has Kane already in position for the Tombstone......and as the official slowly regains his composure in the ring, he drives his Baby Brothers skull into the steel.....before stepping back to admire his handy work....... .......the referee may have missed the Tombstone, but he now sees that both Austin and Kane are on the floor, and so begins his mandatory ten count........fortunately for Austin, he is able to drag himself back inside the ring by nine.....Kane however, isn’t moving, and much like his brother at the Royal Rumble, is counted out following the interference from his sibling. He backs off for a second.....long enough to pick up the WWF Championship......and long enough for Scotty to pull himself back to his feet using the ring ropes........which is when the Heartbreak Kid runs through him, smashing the World Championship into the skull of his Wrestlemania opponent...... ..........Scott goes down......and he goes down hard, as Michaels stands arrogantly over him. Shawn raises the WWF Championship in the air for a moment, before stopping.......reaching down to pick up Steiner's Intercontinental Championship......he looks at the two belt, before breaking out into a huge grin as he hoists both Gold Titles overhead......Shawn Michaels may not have been the main event tonight.....but when the show came to a close, he still managed to make sure that the spotlight shone only on him......we'll see you tomorrow night folks, because the road to Wrestlemania is officially underway. Really liked In Your House, so many huge rated matches! And go Scotty! I knew I was right to back Big Poppa Pump! The one I'm really surprised at is how well the Foley promo turned out. That right there is career making.

No Contest - This one just has "no winner" written all over it, as Brian and Kane come in for revenge of their own.

It’s always tricky to get the crowd invested in these face vs. face matches, but these two men are so massively popular that the crowd can’t help but get involved......especially considering the fact that both men are giving their all in there......so much so that it looks as though we are going to get a Superplex attempt from the Deadman, who climbs up to the top as Austin is perched on the turnbuckle.........not that Stone Cold is going down easy, and the two men wind up grappling for position on the top rope........ <img alt="iXAv5bk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iXAv5bk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> .........which is when the Corporate Cannon comes running down the aisle, hopping onto the apron and gives both men an almighty shove that sends Austin and The Undertaker both crashing to the mat........leaving the official no choice but to call for the bell...... WCW actually put on a decent Nitro for once this week......well, a decent main event anyway, as WCW Tag Team Champions Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko went to a no contest with Jean Paul Levesque and Randy Savage.......the rest of the show (apart from a brawl between the Warrior, Hogan and Flair) was garbage......but that main event certainly made up for it......we still destroyed them in the ratings by nine points though, heh....... ........on the subject of WCW, Dusty Rhodes contract came up......and I did offer him a deal......Dusty was the number one Colour guy out there last year......not to mention the fact that I could do something with him and Dustin.......but I don’t hold out much hope of signing him.....Bischoff has cracked open the ATM machine again and offered him $40,000 a month......40 grand!.....now financially we’re doing pretty well, we’re clearing well over $3,000 000 a month profit and we’ve got 3 times the amount in the bank than we had this time last year but I’m sorry, Shawn Michaels is only getting $50,000 a month out of me, there’s no way I’m paying $40,000 for a commentator......I offered literally half what Bischoff did.....he’s considering it, but I highly doubt Big Dust will be breaking the Polka Dots out any time soon..... .......in other contract news, Tatanka is gone.....his contract was up for renewal but I just didn’t have anything for him other than glorified jobber to the stars, and to be honest if I’m looking for a jobber, there are cheaper and more talented options out there.....so long story short I just let his contract expire.....good luck in your future endeavours Tonto...... .......ECW put on their Big Ass Extreme Bash show this week too, which saw Shane Douglas capture the ECW Title from The Sandman.....I like Douglas, and I’d love to have him on the roster, but we’ve got a pretty harmonious locker room at the moment and I’d like to keep it that way.....and unfortunately for Mr. Douglas, he’s got heat with most of the major players here, it’s just not worth the headache at the minute......Terry Funk is still going strong considering his age, he went to a no contest with New Jack on the show.....although how a promotion with virtually no rules manages to have a match end in a no contest is beyond me.....The oddball combination of 911 and The Blue Meanie captured the ECW Tag Titles from the equally bizarre pairing of Big Dick Dudley and JT Smith........Axl Rotten and Stevie Richards beat Mikey Whipwreck and Tommy Dreamer in a match that saw Dreamer suffer a hamstring strain that will put him out of action for about 2 months......and finally Taz beat Bad Crew #2 to retain the ECW TV Title...... ......while we are on the subject of ECW, one half of the Eliminators, Perry Saturn is the talk of the business at the moment, with a lot of people saying it’s only going to be so long before he’s out of the Bingo Halls and up with one of the big leagues......I don’t know about that, he’s a decent enough worker but I don’t see him fitting in WCW right now and I don’t really have anything for him here, so he may be toiling in the minors for a while yet..... <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"> Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 2, March 1997 Cactus Jack vs. Shawn Michaels Comments: European Championship: First Round Match The British Bulldog vs. Brian Pillman Comments: European Championship: First Round Match Ahmed Johnson vs. Mr. Perfect Comments: Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Scott Hall & Sean Waltman vs. Faarooq, The Rock, Kama & Nelson Comments: The Son’s of Samoa vs. Billy Gunn & Jesse James Comments: Chris Jericho vs Jeff Jarrett Comments: </div></div></blockquote>

Perfect tells them that while he has already formulated the perfect game plan for them, HE has a game plan of his own to formulate.......because he has a match against Ahmed Johnson later this evening, in the opening round of the tournament for the brand new WWF European Championship........and lets face it, no one is going to make a more perfect first champion......than Mr. Perfect...... ........his two wards aren’t happy about that, stating that if he’s not coming to ringside with them, then what exactly are they paying him for......but Perfect says they are paying for his knowledge and advice......that’s not good enough for James however, who claims that Perfects so called knowledge and advice didn’t do them much good against the Hart Foundation a few weeks ago....... .......obviously Perfect takes offence to that remark, stating that all the knowledge and wisdom in the world isn’t going to help them, if they don’t actually listen to him.....he says that the only reason they lost to the Harts, was because Gunn and James got too cocky for their own good.....didn’t follow the game plan......and they ALL lost because of it......but Gunn and James aren’t convinced, telling their Consultant that maybe it’s just because Mr. Perfect......actually isn’t as perfect as he thinks..........before turning and storming out of the room to face the Sons of Samoa, while Perfect stands there shaking his head, muttering something about “punk kids” under his breath. Hall made it clear earlier tonight, that the KLiQ won't hesitate to put the Hart Brothers down if they try anything during this match.......and considering the fact that the Harts have found their morals and conscious to be a little looser as of late, maybe Waltman and Hall are right to be suspicious.....for what it's worth though, this match was tremendous.....especially when you factor in Nelson and Kama, who lets face it, aren't exactly the greatest workers in the world.....that and the fact that this was a multi-man match, with faces and heels on the same side, could have left the crowd sitting on their hands.....but no, they were most definitely up for this one...... ........especially the ending.....which was kind of ironic considering the KLiQ's words of warning earlier......because it was the Tag Champions that screwed over their partners here, and it all came about after Big Nelson crushed the life out of Waltman.......Hall decided that enough was enough, clearly not wanting to put the titles at risk by having his partner injured.....and he dragged Sean to the outside.....collected the Tag Team belts.......and just like that the KLiQ walked out on the match, leaving Bret and Owen two partners short..... .........and yes, the Harts are good.....but they're not four against two good.....and inevitably they found themselves staring in the face of their first loss in a while, after the Rock put Owen away with the Rock Bottom. ".........well, that's fine by us.....because we already beat you once at In Your House.....do you really think that throwing the rule book out of the window will help you at all? ".........and since you just got your ass whipped by the Bulldog, it doesn't look like you've got one either......" .....so since neither of them are doing anything Wrestlemania night....they can either both sit at home and drink some beer.......or Brian Pillman can finally find his balls and step into the ring with Stone Cold Steve Austin........ .......the beer bath obviously did the job, since Pillman is finally pulling himself back to his feet, still coughing from the alcoholic water boarding he just suffered...... Shawn tries for a Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere, but Steiner catches the foot......spins the man around.....and sends him halfway across the ring with a release German Suplex......then in turn, sends him flying 360 over the top rope with a running Steinerline....... .......meanwhile Cactus has mounted a comeback of his own.....and is about to nail Raven with an Underhook DDT, when the Leader of the Flock is able to slip out of his grasp and scurry to the outside......where a sea of broken bodies lies.......and we go off the air with Big Poppa Pump up on the middle turnbuckle flexing his biceps.......while Cactus drops down to one knee to give a big "Bang!
