<p>Hart Foundation - <em>As much as this is definitely the time period when "anything can happen in the WWF" and mismatched partners winning titles can become the norm, the Harts have other fish to fry with the Nation yet.</em></p><p>

British Bulldog - <em>Taker steps in and keeps Ahmed from winning the title.</em></p><p>

Perfect - <em>Billy attacks to cause a DQ. Definitely dig the prospect of him ending up teamed with Windham, as I always felt the two made a solid team in 1999 in WCW.</em></p><p>

Sid - <em>We need to have some actual faces in the bout, not just a face who's heading into a heel turn like Jericho.</em></p><p>

Snow and Candido - <em>A fun team going over a team who aren't floundering, but I think they could use something with some actual meat to their character before they can get pushed very far.</em></p><p>

Rey Mysterio - <em>Same thing I said about Sid, a strong face for the bout.</em></p>

Tag Team Gold for Bret and Owen, while Davey is proudly wearing the WWF European Championship. They get a great reaction as always, and Bret thanks the fans for being behind them through one of the longest twelve months of their careers.......</p><p> </p><p> <em>".........it's been a long hard road, lined with one screw job after another.....but Stu and Helen Hart didn't have twelve kids to raise any quitters.....it just goes to show you that if you stay true to yourself, sooner or later you're going to be rewarded for all your hard work......of course, sometimes, even when you manage to overcome all the odds, you can still get overlooked......"</em></p><p> </p><p> ......Bret says that he SHOULD be happy.....THEY should be happy......the KLiQ is dead and buried.....the KLiQ has lost ALL the gold.....he says that ever since Wrestlemania XII, Shawn Michaels and his cronies have run rough-shot over everything and everyone, monopolising every Championship along the way.....he says that EVERYTHING that's happened around here had revolved around the KLiQ.....but now the KLiQ is no more......the problem with that is, the more things change, the more they stay the same.......</p><p> </p><p> .......Bret says that Scott Steiner is the World Wrestling Federation Champion......he and Owen are the Tag Champs......Davey Boy is the first ever European Champion.....and the Intercontinental Championship? Well that's up for grabs at In Your House.......the problem is, it's STILL all about the KLiQ.......sure the colours are different......the name might have changed.....it might be the Wolfpac now......but it's still Shawn Michaels, it's still Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.....Sean Waltman......it's STILL the KLiQ that everyone is talking about.......</p><p> </p><p> .......Bret says that at In Your House, Scott Steiner will be headlining his first Pay Per View as WWF Champion......but people are more concerned about what the Wolfpac are going to do to give Steiner his well deserved respect......Bret says that he knows the people have embraced the red and black Pac.....and that is absolute their right......but Bret.....Owen.....Davey......their memory's aren't so short.....because they were there through every beat down, ambush, sneak attack and screw job.....Kevin Nash and Scott Hall still screwed Bret at Wrestlemania XII, no matter how much people try to brush it all under the carpet......</p><p> </p><p> ......Bret says that at In Your House....an In Your House that will be emanating incidentally from the great white north that is Canada.....and He and Owen don't even have a match.....but that's ok, because as everyone knows, the Hitman has always been the most fighting Champion around......and we're certainly not going to be watching from the sidelines without a match in Canada of all places.....so at In Your House, the Hart Foundation are issuing an open challenge.....ANY team that wants to step in the ring with us, we won't be hard to find.....because we'll be the ones holding the gold.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="LIoPOQU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LIoPOQU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="iXAv5bk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iXAv5bk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> .........that brings out the owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Mr Vincent Kennedy McMahon....and he's not alone.....because he has his personal problem solver Kane on one side.....and his Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman on the other.......McMahon tells the Harts that it's very admiral of them to be so forthcoming with their title shots......and since they're feeling so generous, Mr McMahon is feeling generous too......</p><p> </p><p> <em>".......because I'm in a very good mood tonight, and why wouldn't I be? Scott Steiner is home licking his wounds.....the Wolfpac are home licking THEIR wounds......Kevin Nash is off doing whatever Kevin Nash does....which at the minute involves walking down to that welfare office to collect his cheque.......Steve Austin is hobbling around his ranch back at Texas on one leg......and the Reason for the Ratings Shawn Michaels is just two weeks away from regaining the World Wrestling Federation Championship....and I'm feeling so generous that I've given HIM the night off too......</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> ......so here's what I'm going to do for you Bret, in the spirit of competition. I'll go ahead and pencil your little open challenge in there for In Your House.....and I say pencil it in because, well....you may not BE the WWF Tag Team Champions by then.....because since YOU want to be a fighting Champion.....and I want to give Kane and Brian Pillman a little thank you for their recent hard work......which is why tonight, in that very ring, it's going to be The Hart Foundation, defending their Championships against the Big Red Monster and the Corporate Cannon......oh and Bulldog, don't think I've forgotten about you......you get to defend that European Championship too......against Ahmed Johnson.......</em></p><p> </p><p> ......Davey Boy has no problem with that.....and neither do Bret and Owen for that matter....in fact Bret says that anytime he gets to lock Brian Pillman in the Sharpshooter is fine by him, after all, it was Pillman who turned his back on the Hart Foundation to align himself with Steve Austin......and Stone Cold has just found out what the rest of the world already knows, Brian Pillman is a snake in the grass that can't be trusted, that's why he's sat at home tonight while Pillman is here. The Corporate Cannon just laughs at that, saying you can't call someone a snake and then act surprised when you get bitten.....and as for getting locked in the Sharpshooter? There's more chance of Bret Hart getting his leg locked inside a steel chair......</p><p> </p><p> <em>".......and then you can join Steve Austin on the injured list, when Brian 3:16 says I just Pillmanized your ass.......see you later Bretty Boy......"</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="hzDZTVJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hzDZTVJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img style="max-width:10%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg"></a></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Intercontinental Title: Four Way Qualifier</strong></p><p> </p><p> Our first match of the evening sees two men facing off who are hardly strangers to each other, as former Million Dollar Corporation member Psycho Sid, faces off against current Million Dollar Corporation member Rich Steiner......and it was actually Rich Steiner turning on brother Scott that ignited Sid’s exit from Ted DiBiase’s group, joining up with Big Poppa Pump at the Survivor Series to defeat the Corporation......more recently however it’s been the Corporation that’s had the upper hand, as it was Wrestlemania when we saw Psycho Sid, Ahmed Johnson and the Legion of Doom take the loss against Steiner, Jarrett and Southern Justice.....</p><p> </p><p> ......both of those matches were obviously multi-man affairs however, and tonight it’s one on one. Sid has never held the Intercontinental Championship......in fact, Sid has never held ANY Championship here in the WWF, which when you consider his size and stature is unusual to say the least......but then you could argue that Sid has never NEEDED a Championship, because even as a heel the big man was incredibly over....Rich on the other hand got his first taste of singles gold when he defeated the British Bulldog for the currently vacant Intercontinental Title, a title that he held until the final Raw of last year, when he lost the belt to baby brother Scott.....so you know that Rich is desperate to become a two time winner......</p><p> </p><p> ......there’s only one spot in the Intercontinental Four Way up for grabs here though, so one of these men is going to be going home disappointed.....given the men involved this was always going to be a stiff hard hitting affair....and it was......as both competitors potatoed the hell out of each other......but that wasn’t the only thing to come out of the match.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="GDTWVB2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GDTWVB2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="0VN77xg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0VN77xg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NqqfCgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NqqfCgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tMF90pK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tMF90pK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ......because midway through the contest we are treated to the arrival of Christopher Daniels, Bill DeMott, and the Dogs of War, as Ravens Flock make their way out, surrounding the ring......they don’t actually physically interfere in the match, but their mere presence has even DiBiase looking worried......not that Deebs needs to be concerned, because the focus of their attention is clearly on Psycho Sid......</p><p> </p><p> .......the match continues as the Flock almost never takes their eyes off the big man, standing stoically with their almost hypnotic gaze.....and it certainly throws Sid for a loop.....but he is still able to pull out the victory, nailing Steiner with the Powerbomb and making the cover as his head snaps from one member of the Flock to another in confusion.....but confused or not, Psycho Sid is heading to In Your House.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Psycho Sid</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="GDTWVB2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GDTWVB2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="0VN77xg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0VN77xg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NqqfCgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NqqfCgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tMF90pK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tMF90pK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Sid gets his hand raised in victory, but he doesn’t look as though he’s celebrating any time soon, as his confusion mounts.....he screams out questions to each Flock member, demanding to know what they want, but he gets no response from either of the men on the floor......eventually his frustration grows and he finally snaps, telling the four men that if they are looking for a fight, then he’s right here.......</p><p> </p><p> .......that finally garners some kind of a reaction from the Flock, and slowly but surely the quartet advance towards the ring. As one they pull themselves up onto the apron, surrounding the big seven footer, as Sid turns in a circle waiting for the attack.....except it never comes.......and as quickly as the four men climbed ON to the apron, they climb OFF it again, before simply turning their backs on Sid and walking away, climbing over the guard rail and disappearing into the sea of fans........which is when the camera pans in on a lone figure standing high up in the arena.......and as a spotlight finally focuses on the man....... </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="oJqc7jC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oJqc7jC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......we see that it is Raven, arms outstretched in that familiar crucifix pose, laughing to himself as Sids paranoia rises.....and as Rick Rude speculates that maybe Psycho Sid is the “you” that Raven is coming for, Jim Ross sends us to commercial.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="bPirxUr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bPirxUr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="46EV5Y1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/46EV5Y1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Intercontinental Title: Four Way Qualifier</strong></p><p> </p><p> So that’s Chris Jericho, Faarooq and now Psycho Sid walking into In Your House with an opportunity to capture the vacant WWF Intercontinental Championship.....that leaves just one spot to fill, and we are going to fill it right now, because it’s Rey Mysterio going up against Lance Storm. It’s a rather conflicting clash of styles here, because while both men are within the designated weight range to challenge for the WWF Light Heavyweight Title, Rey Mysterio is certainly more of a high flyer, while Storm focuses more on the mat based scientific approach.....</p><p> </p><p> .....not that the clash of styles makes for an awkward bout, far from it, these two men actually compliment each other quite well, as Mysterio attempts to dictate a faster pace, while Storm attempts to ground his agile opponent. Rey has tasted Championship gold already here in the WWF, while Storm has been primarily focused on Chris Jericho, so the question is who wants it more? The man who’s had a taste for gold and is hungry for more? Or the man that’s been starved of Title opportunities to begin with? </p><p> </p><p> .....well I don’t know about wanting it more, because both men appear determined to pick up the victory, eventually however it’s young Rey that sneaks out with a win, catching Storm with a victory roll out of nowhere that sends him flying into the Intercontinental Championship match at In Your House.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Rey Mysterio</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img style="max-width:50%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/N3o3CK3.gif" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/N3o3CK3.gif"></a></p><p> </p><p> We come back from commercial and are instantly greeted by a video, apparently created by Shattered Dreams productions......the video starts with long camera shots of what appears to be Cactus Jack.....or should I say Mick Foley......out and about with his wife and children......grocery shopping, coming out of a movie theatre, running around the park....wholesome family activities......wholesome family activities that have clearly been filmed clandestinely by an unknown (although we can probably guess) cameraman......each shot is juxtaposed by a second shot......a shot of Cactus Jack tossing Wrath off the balcony at Wrestlemania.....a shot of a match in japan with Cactus bloody and wrapped in barbed wire.....a shot of Cactus Jack hitting Raven with an underhook DDT onto the barbed wire two by four......until the sequence slowly fades out, leaving only one image in its wake.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Y9FHBdx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y9FHBdx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> .....the image of Goldust sat in a directors chair, fingers steepled under his gold painted chin as Marlena smokes on a cigar in the background......</p><p> </p><p> <em>”......’Fancy thinking the Beast was something you could hunt and kill! matches around here....especially on free TV, but that’s exactly what we have tonight, because fresh off the heels of the Bulldog defending the European Championship, we have his brothers in-law defending the WWF Tag Team Titles, as Bret and Owen put the gold on the line against the unusual pairing of Brian Pillman and Kane, two men who are firmly in Mr. McMahon’s good graces following their recent services.....</p><p> </p><p> ......the Corporate Cannon and the Big Red Monster are actually a pretty good pairing. The combination of Kane’s brute strength and Pillman’s agility means that the Harts really have their hands full here. There’s still plenty of bad blood between Bret and Pillman, stemming back from the Corporate Cannon turning his back on the Hart Foundation back at last years King of the Ring, when he screwed Bret over in the finals to hand a victory to Steve Austin, but then, that’s hardly the only time Bret Hart has been screwed over in the last twelve months.....</p><p> </p><p> .......the challengers manage to utilise Kane’s size and strength to isolate the younger Hart, and then slowly begin to dismantle him using a combination of the Big Red Monsters methodical power moves and the Corporate Cannons more agile approach.....inevitably however the hot Tag is made and Bret gets back into the action. He has a brief flurry of offence where he takes on both men, but Kane eventually cuts him off with a stiff throat thrust that Bret sells like a star......Owen gets back into the fray however, rocking the big man with a missile dropkick from the top rope......Kane doesn’t go down, but he’s dazed enough for the Harts to send him over the top with a double Clothesline.....and even then Kane lands on his feet on the floor......at least until Owen comes charging across the ring, flying through the top and second rope to the outside and using his own body to finally knock the monster down, just as Bret locks Brian Pillman in the Sharpshooter.....and it’s all about self preservation for Pillman, who submits almost instantly, as the Hart Foundation male defence number two of their WWF Tag Team Titles.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> ......and <strong>STILL</strong> WWF Tag Team Champions......The Hart Foundation.</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="o8GrTsa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/o8GrTsa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="qQmwebo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qQmwebo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="iXAv5bk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iXAv5bk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Bret doesn’t look as though he has any interest in breaking the Sharpshooter, despite the fact that victory is theirs......he does break it however, but only because Kane is back on his feet on the outside and has sent Owen crashing into the crowd barrier......and now he’s back up on the apron. The Hitman and the Monster stare each other down for a moment, and it looks as though Bret is about to run at Kane......he doesn’t get chance however......because that’s when Brian Pillman smashes a steel chair into the knee of Hart.....</p><p> </p><p> .......Bret drops to the mat in agony as Pillman laughs that wide eyed jackal laugh. He crashes the steel against the knee of Hart two more times, before opening up the chair and sliding the Hitman’s leg inside. Jim Ross screams that somebody needs to stop this, he’s clearly trying to break the leg of the Tag Champion, just as he did to Steve Austin.......and as Pillman climbs up onto the top rope, that’s exactly what it looks like he’s planning.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Cy5KT5G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Cy5KT5G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......at least until the arena erupts......because Kevin Nash is making his way out from the crowd, stepping over the safety barrier and up onto the ring apron.....and there’s no Shawn Michaels in sight, which means Big Sexy can get as close to the action as he wants, shaking the top rope until Pillman drops and crotches himself on the turnbuckle.....Nash then takes two huge steps and nails the Corporate Cannon with a Big Boot to the face that sends Brian tumbling from the top down to the arena floor.......</p><p> </p><p> .......Nash is still seething from not only last weeks attack on Sean Waltman, but the assault on Scott Hall too.........and seven days ago he declared that Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman and Kane were dead men walking.....and it looks as though he’s here to make good on that promise, because with one big step he climbs over the top rope and comes face to face with the Big Red Monster......</p><p> </p><p> ......the crowd goes into a frenzy as the two seven footers go eye to eye, but Nash isn’t here for a face off, he’s here to fight......which is why he unloads a series of punches that drives the Big Red Monster all the way back to the ropes, before Irish Whipping him across the ring and nailing him right between the eyes with a Big Boot......</p><p> </p><p> ......the monster only rocks however, he doesn’t go down....Nash runs the length of the ring and hits Kane with one.....then two.....then three clothesline’s which backs him all the way up to the ropes.......and a fourth Clothesline finally sends the monster out to the floor, where Brian Pillman is waiting to grab Kane by the hair, dragging him to the back to fight another day.......</p><p> </p><p> .......Nash screams at the retreating duo that this ain’t done, not by a long shot......before turning and helping The Hitman to his feet. Bret shrugs the help off however, telling Nash that while the crowd might have forgotten everything he’s done around here, he hasn’t.......and rather uncharacteristically tells Nash that.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>”.......if you think this makes up for twelve months of your bulls*it then you’re wrong.....after everything you’ve done to me.......to my family......</em>(Bret gives Nash the finger)<em>.......screw you, and screw your help.......”</em></p><p> </p><p> ........Bret rolls to the outside to help Owen to his feet, and the duo collect their Championships before heading to the back, leaving Nash in the ring as the show comes to a close.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>We took a bit of a gamble this week, leaving every single one of our “Franchise Players” save for Brian Pillman off the show......No Michaels, no Undertaker, no Austin......and while Bret Hart would have been one of my top five guys a month ago, Chris Jericho has arguably taken his spot.....and even HE wasn’t on the show this week. Jericho has really seen his stock rise in recent months, but the added muscle that he’s recently added has completely taken him to another level, looking more like a star than ever before......but I digress, as I was saying we took a gamble in leaving all the major players off the show, even Scott Steiner got the night off........and even though the show COULD have been better, it certainly didn’t disappoint. Davey Boy and Ahmed had a great match, and considering the fact that the main event had no real heat to it going in, the boys still put on a great performance, topped off by an amazing segment to close the show.......and to be honest, while it wasn’t our best show, it was still better than the Pay Per View that WCW put on a few days earlier.......</p><p> </p><p> ......and yes, I do mean a few days earlier....because they randomly decided to hold a Pay Per View that for some reason they decided to call “Raining Blood” on a Thursday night.......why a Thursday night im not entirely sure, but to be honest the show wasn’t that great anyway.......</p><p> </p><p> WCW Raining Blood </p><p> -Heel Hulk Hogan defeated Babyface Lex Luger by DQ to retain the WCW Heavyweight Title in an odd choice of finish- (B)</p><p> -Big Van Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow are still teaming regularly, joining forces to defeat the Faces of Fear- (B)</p><p> -The Giant retained the WCW Television Title against Scotty Riggs- (B-)</p><p> -The Nasty Boys captures the WCWTag Team Titles when they defeated Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko- (B)</p><p> -Diamond Dallas Page beat everybody's favourite Dumpster, Duke Droese to retain the United States Championship- ©</p><p> -The Pitbulls beat The Amazing French Canadians- ©</p><p> -Mike Awesome beat Ice Train- ©</p><p> </p><p> .....the biggest story to come out of the event was a brawl that took place between Hogan and Sting. Maybe we’ll see the Stinger finally get his shot against the Hulkster, after all, Sting hasn’t had a sniff of the World Title since Hogan’s arrival almost three years ago now.......</p><p> </p><p> ......while we are on the subject of WCW, Elizabeth’s contract is up.......Bischoff has offered her an extension, frankly he won’t get any competition from me.....maybe if Savage was available as well I would be tempted, but I don’t have much for Liz by herself.....it’s not like she’s even a decent mouthpiece......</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 4, April 1997</strong> </p><p> </p><p> Scott Steiner, Scott Hall & Sean Waltman vs. Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman & Kane</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Tag Team Championship Match:</strong></p><p><strong> Open Challenge</strong></p><p> The Hart Foundation vs. ??? & ???</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Psycho Sid vs. Faarooq</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Marc Mero vs. Bradshaw</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Light Heavyweight Championship Match</strong></p><p> Billy Kidman © vs Justin Credible</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

<p>I think my favorite parts of this past Raw were the Hart Foundation drawing their own line in the sand and Cactus Jack attacking Goldust. I am really digging the segments between Cactus and Goldust in fact, and also I'm intrigued by the Flock taking interest in Sid.</p><p> </p><p>

Shawn/Pillman/Kane - <em>Heels pick up a cheap win.</em></p><p>

Hart Foundation - <em>Snow and Candido aren't going to be the ones to dethrone the Harts at this point.</em></p><p>

Sid - <em>The Flock will either help Sid or cause a DQ by attacking him.</em></p><p>

Bradshaw - <em>Mero has been a very JTTS for you.</em></p><p>

Chris Jericho - <em>Another shady win lets Chris have another big celebration.</em></p><p>

Kidman - <em>Just can't see him dropping the belt yet, being THIS transitional a champ.</em></p>

Shawn cups a hand over his eyes and makes an overly dramatic show of scanning the arena, before reiterating that he's right here.....but he doesn't see Kevin Nash anywhere.....</p><p> </p><p> ......Hall and Michaels continue to bicker, until suddenly we hear a very audible, off camera, <em>"F*CK THIS"</em> from Scott Steiner......who snatches the microphone from Hall, before screaming that he didn't come out here to talk, he came out here to kick some ass.....before tossing the mic to the mat, picking up the lead pipe.....and heading straight towards Michaels, Pillman and Kane, Wolfpac or no Wolfpac, he couldn't care less.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="LIoPOQU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LIoPOQU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......fortunately......(although fortunately for who I'm not sure, because while Rude calls Steiner a moron for trying to fight three men on his own, Ross declares that the mood Steiner is in, he doesn't think three men is enough)......Vince McMahon makes his way out from the back before Scotty can reach his targets.....Mr McMahon and about thirty security guards, who put themselves between Steiner and everyone else. He tells the WWF Champion to drop the weapon, saying that if he wants Shawn, Brian and Kane so badly, he can have them.....in a sanctioned WWF match later tonight, when he joins forces with Scott Hall and Sean Waltman in some six man tag action........before sending Shawn and co to the back and telling the production truck to get the camera off the walking censors nightmare, Scott Steiner and go to commercial, right NOW!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img style="max-width:10%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/5ARJfr6.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/5ARJfr6.jpg"></a><img alt="wdkMubP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wdkMubP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="lrss6Dn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lrss6Dn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Our first match of the evening sees superstar on the rise Bradshaw, facing off against floundering superstar Marc Mero.......Mero can't seem to buy a victory round here recently, and he's certainly not going to find Bradshaw a pushover, because this big Texan is out to make a name for himself around here. Bradshaw dominates a good portion of the match, but Mero does eventually mount a small comeback. Sable on the outside is cheering him on every step of the way, and Mero is quick to turn to her after delivering a picture perfect dropkick, telling her that he's got this one in the bad........</p><p> </p><p> ........he didn't have this one in the bag......because the moment he turns around from Sable, Bradshaw turns him inside out with the Clothesline from Hell. She slowly rouses him and groggily he begins to pull himself to his feet using the ring ropes, before unsteadily (and rather abruptly) shoving the beautiful young blonde to one side, telling her that this was her fault.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......i had this one won, if you hadn't been distracting me they'd be playing MY music now......"</em></p><p> </p><p> ....Sable argues that she didn't actually DO anything, she was just stood there at ringside. Rey goes to answer, but before he has chance, Jericho cuts him off.......</p><p> </p><p> <em>".....oh there's a huge amount of respect....huge......in fact, little Rey here probably respects me more than he respects his own uncle, a legend in his own mind down in me-hi-co.....after all, he's modelled his whole career after me.....we both blazed a trail south of the border, with me, the great Corazón de León....that's Lion Heart for all you uneducated folks out there.....while Rey was.....well, you had a few names didn't you little guy, weren't you the hummingbird at one point? a moment ago......spoiler alert, he does.....which is fortunate because his in ring skills are much better than his microphone skills.....these two have a great little match, with Jericho starting out as a true blue cheeseball babyface, shaking Rey's hand and applauding him every time he gets the better of him......unfortunately he begins to get the better of Jericho a little too much for the Ayatollah of RocknRolla's liking, and eventually he cuts him off with an obviously deliberate low blow that he half heartedly attempts to claim was an accident......</p><p> </p><p> .....while Rey is primarily a part of the Light Heavyweight division, Jericho has long since moved on from the division that he made a name for himself here in the WWF in....but Rey has shown in his matches with Dude Love and Raven, that's he's more than simply a face in the Light Heavyweight Division....and while Jericho did gain the upper hand, he can't keep hold of it......in fact, it looks suspiciously as Title defence last week against Brian Pillman and Kane, the Hart Foundation are indeed out to offer an open challenge, just six days before they head to the great white north for In Your House....</p><p> </p><p> ....Bret says that last week they told the world that there was no way that the WWF was going to Canada, without the Heart Foundation being there to defend their gold.....McMahon agreed to it.....the only sensible decision he's made in quite some time if you ask Bret.....so in just six days time, he and Owen will be walking down to this ring, and ANYONE that thinks they have what it takes to stop them, well Bret and Owen will just have to show them, what the world already knows......when it comes to stepping between these ropes.....when it comes to wrestling.....the Hart Foundation truly are, the best there is......the best there was......and the best that there ever will be.....</p><p> </p><p> .......but that is in six days time, tonight, they're going to be doing exactly the same thing.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>".......so consider this, an open challenge......any team in the back, any two guys period.....be it two of McMahon's great fans who to cheer for......but if I'm honest, it sticks in my craw a little bit, that after everything Nash, Hall and Waltman have done around here, you cheer them.....everything Stone Cold going to excellently execute them....."</em></p><p> </p><p> .........kind of a strange promo there from the Hitman.....even the crowd are unsure what to make of it, but once the challenge is accepted, Foundation, Billy Kidman has put the Light Heavyweight Championship that he won at Wrestlemania twice now in four weeks.....not bad going for a man that went through hell in the first ever six person ladder match here in the WWF....his opponent tonight, is a man we haven't seen since BEFORE Wrestlemania, when he was on the receiving end of a Kevin Nash beat down, and that man is Justin Credible.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Jim Ross informs us that Credible has been granted this opportunity by Vince McMahon himself, after Credible was the only loyal KLiQ member not to turn his back on the Heartbreak Kid...and the former Aldo Montoya will be looking to capitalise on this rare title opportunity to prove that the success he found at the right hand of Shawn Michaels, WASN'T all down to the company he kept, but his own abilities as well......</p><p> </p><p> .....unfortunately tonight, his confidence in his own abilities backfired, because he took the young champion far too lightly. Truth be told Credible probably could have won this match on one or two occasions, but his own arrogance meant that he would rather toy with his opponent.....Billy Kidman wasn't here to play however, he was here to defend his title....and after. Credible spent far too long showboating to the fans on a Superplex attempt, Kidman was able to shove him off the top rope, where he crashed to the mat.......followed by Kidman crashing into him with a beautiful Shooting Star Press to pick up the victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> ......and <strong>STILL</strong> WWF Light Heavyweight Champion......Billy Kidman</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="FOurmAt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FOurmAt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GTVuL5X.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GTVuL5X.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHR4YiB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Well would you believe it, it's Dok Hendrix standing by with another interview......and it's a packed one, because he is joined by the entire Nation of Domination. Not that the Big Red Machine bails, he gets sent spinning over the top rope with a big Steinerline.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Scotty is on fire, and the crowd are on fire right there with him.....and why wouldn't they be, this was a fantastic match. Obviously Scott can't keep up that pace forever, and the Wolfpac get their time too, but eventually the heel contingent manage to isolate Sean Waltman, and between the three of them they lay a beating on the smallest man in the match.....Shawn in particular taking great pleasure in every blow that lands on the Kid.....</p><p> </p><p> .....eventually however the match breaks down as this sort of match often does, and the six men pair off......Steiner and Michaels, Hal and Kane, with Waltman and Pillman going at it in the ring.....with so much going on the official was bound to miss the odd thing here and there.....such as Sunny yanking Brian Pillman out of harms way, leaving Waltman to collide shoulder first into the turnbuckle.....followed by Sunny handing The Corporate Cannon a steel chair, which Pillman smashes into the already damaged arm of the Wolfpac member.......he does however see Pillman lock in a Fujiwara Armbar, which Walkman has no choice but to concede to.....it's not a clean victory, but it's a victory none the less.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman & Kane</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> /></p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately that puts Waltman out of commission.....and Hall soon follows suit after Kane unleashes a big boot that drives the back of Scott Hall's head into the ring post on the outside.....that just leaves Scott Steiner.....and it may be three against one, but Scotty is still p*ssed....and he still has that lead pipe at ringside....</p><p> </p><p> .....not that he needs it....initially anyway....because HBK and the Corporate Cannon both receive a number of stiff right hands, before Brian Pillman gets dispatched with a military press and dropped over the top rope, straight onto the floor below.....Michaels attempts to blindside the WWF Champion before attempting an Irish Whip that Scotty reverses, catching the Heartbreak Kid with a Frankensteiner on his return.....that just leaves Kane.....and now Steiner DOES need that pipe, because for all his best efforts, he can only rock the monster.....and after three Steinerlines do nothing but leave the big man swaying, a lead shot between the eyes FINALLY puts Kane on his back......</p><p> </p><p> ......which is when Shawn Michaels knocks the Champs head off with some Sweet Chin Music....</p><p> </p><p> ......and now Steiner, Hall and Waltman are all down and hurt....and Shawn makes sure they stay down, directing traffic to his two partners.....a Chokeslam for Steiner.....a Tombstone for Hall.....and finally, Pillman enters the ring with a steel chair.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Nash makes his way through the crowd.....once again however, there is literally nothing he can do, because Michaels has a troop of armed officers at ringside ready to enforce that restraining order to the full extent of the law...and before Nash can get any closer than 50 feet, he's stopped dead in his tracks by the thin blue line that separates order from anarchy.....and he can only stand back and watch, as Michaels gleefully informs him that he's gonna take the Wolfpac out of commission once and for all....and what little is left, Kane and Pillman will destroy at In Your House, before they join him at ringside to see him kick Scott Steiner's teeth down his threat one more time.....and take back the WWF Championship.....</p><p> </p><p> ......Michaels tells Pillman to <em>"do it"</em> and the Cannon doesn't need asking twice, as he opens up the steel chair and slides, not Sean Waltman's leg in, but that already damaged arm, before climbing onto the top rope......Nash is yelling at Michaels not to let him do it, furiously screaming at Pillman that he's a dead man if he does......but it's no use, and as Nash helplessly looks on from 50 feet away, Brian Pillman lets fly from the top, crashing down with full force onto the steel chair......and Pillmanizing the arm of Sean Waltman, who lets out an agonising scream......</p><p> </p><p> .......The Heartbreak Kid lets out a laugh as he collects the WWF title from ringside, holding it high in the air over the fallen bodies of Steiner, Hall and Waltman......and as Kevin Nash screams promises of violence, retribution and pain, Kane raises his arms, before snapping them down as a blaze of fire erupts from the ring posts, and the show comes to a close....with Jim Ross telling us that in just six days, not only could we see Shawn Michaels once again crowned the World Wrestling Federation Champion.....but we may well see the end of the Wolfpac, before they even got started......we'll see you Sunday folks.</p><p> </p><p> <p>Well, if last weeks show was a slight disappointment, this weeks certainly made up for it....especially the main event, as Shawn Michaels goes on to prove again that he simply can't have a bad match. Goldust and Cactus continue to impress....which I am particularly pleased by, since I've been waiting to open up a storyline for Dustin for a few months now, but he found himself constantly lost in the shuffle on the run up to Wrestlemania....as always though he continues to deliver when called upon....the Grandson of a Plumber is a real unsung hero around here, he just quietly goes about his business, and then when the time comes, he pulls a performance out of his little gold hat.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Al Snow and Chris Candido have been impressing me as of late as well. For two guys that I had nothing for, they've really taken the cobbled together team and made it work...it helps that Snow is able to carry the mic work, while Candido carries the ring work....in all honesty, Al wasn't much of a talker when he first broke out of the Avatar gimmick, but spending months sharing the screen with Raven and Cactus has given him a real confidence boost, and he's clearly picked up a few tips along the way, because his segments are never boring.....</p><p> </p><p> .....speaking of things not being boring, for once WCW actually put on a decent edition of Nitro, which saw Sting and Savage clash in the main event, with the Stinger picking up an impressive victory in what was damn near a five star match.....and despite losing the WCW Tag Straps to the Nasty Boys last week, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko continued to light up the screen with an amazing match with the former Quebeckers of all people.....two really great matches on one show? Eric was really spoiling his fans tonight......</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="NKyT4Fx.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NKyT4Fx.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for WWF In Your House, Week 4, April 1997</strong> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Championship Match</strong></p><p> Scott Steiner © vs. Shawn Michaels</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Tag Team Championship Match:</strong></p><p><strong> Open Challenge</strong></p><p> The Hart Foundation © vs. ??? & ???</p><p> (Who answers the challenge?)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Intercontinental Championship Match:</strong></p><p><strong> Four Way Elimination Rules</strong></p><p> Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Psycho Sid vs. Faarooq</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF European Championship Match</strong></p><p> The British Bulldog © vs. Ahmed Johnson</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Wolfpac (Hall & Waltman) vs. Brian Pillman & Kane</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Mr. Perfect & Barry Windham vs. The New Age Outlaws</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Light Heavyweight Championship Match</strong></p><p> Billy Kidman © vs Christopher Daniels</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Marc Mero vs. Goldust</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>
