Rating: N/A </div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xNCHeK4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xNCHeK4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="dnLuBx8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dnLuBx8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Y9FHBdx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y9FHBdx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img style="max-width:10%; "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg"><img</a> style="max-width:10%; "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/o3LlZPp.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/o3LlZPp.jpg"></a> Our opening contest is set to be a fiery affair.....because the Undertaker is out for blood.....Cactus loves carnage......Goldust always evokes a volatile reaction.....and Ahmed, Ahmed is looking to prove that he’s the biggest and baddest dog in the yard.....four combustible elements that are about ready to explode...... .....it’s not often that you see The Undertaker jerking the curtain on a Pay Per View, but if it’s good enough for Shawn Michaels and the WWF Championship (which opened the February In Your House) then it’s good enough for anyone......although the Undertaker did at LEAST make the final entrance for this one.....although the last time The Deadman and Cactus Jack shared a ring at one of our events, they were trying to destroy each other in a Casket Match, so quite how well they are going to co-exist is anybodies guess........but then it’s clear that Ahmed Johnson is only tolerating the frankly disturbing Goldust because he needed a partner this evening..... ......speaking of Goldust, he’s had somewhat of a resurgence as of late.....after a remarkably quiet post injury 1996, he’s back with a bang in all of his bizarre glory, even bringing Marc Mero over to the dark side.....or rather, bringing Marcus over to the gold side if you will.....although the personal stylist of the Androgynous One is rather conspicuous by his absence here.......not that ringside isn’t crowded enough, what with Paul Bearer, Jim Cornette AND Marlena on the floor.... ......the match itself was pretty good.....Ahmed looked like a monster as he tossed Cactus around the place.....and the Undertaker looked just as impressive doing the same to Goldust......but eventually these two big bulls finally butted heads, and that was when this one broke down into something a little different that your usual tag team match.....because with Goldust and Cactus as your legal men, Taker and Ahmed took it to the floor, where they proceeded to beat the living hell out of each other, with neither man giving an inch as they battled from one side of the ring to the other, back again and halfway up the aisle......which essentially turned this from a tag team match, to a singles match with a brawl going on in the background..... .....the official doesn’t seem to know which action to focus on, so he finally decides to disregard the Undertaker and Ahmed entirely, focusing on the action in the ring.....but even then he still manages to get distracted by Jim Cornette...... <img style="max-width:10%; "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/cpQ8EAh.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/cpQ8EAh.jpg"></a> .......which means he misses the arrival of Marcus entirely.....as the rather flamboyant stylist comes running down the aisle (successfully managing to avoid the still brawling Ahmed and Undertaker) where he hops up onto the apron, delivering that lightning fast left handed jab that sends Cactus staggering backwards and into the waiting arms of Goldust and the Curtain Call.......and three seconds later, we have a winner..... Winner(s): Ahmed Johnson & Goldust Rating: A </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="dnLuBx8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dnLuBx8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ......while Goldust and his motley crew celebrate in the ring, the action is still going on in the aisle....The Undertaker doesn’t know he’s just lost this match, likewise Ahmed doesn’t know he’s just won.....nor does either man care.....because currently they are still beating the crap out of each other.....they battle all the way up to the entrance ramp, where the Deadman gets backdropped onto the steel. Ahmed drops down and begins to pound on the skull of the Undertaker with those big soup-bone fists, before picking the Deadman up and positioning him for the Pearl River Plunge..... ......this time it’s Ahmed’s turn to go for a ride however, as Taker backdrops his rival high in the air, crashing him down onto steel behind him. Ahmed struggles back to his feet, staggering backwards towards the edge of the stage.....and he may well have fallen off, had the Undertaker not momentarily saved him......I say momentarily, because the Deadman wraps his hand around the throat of Ahmed, lifts him high in the air......and Chokeslam‘s him right off the stage and down to the (gimmicked crash mat) floor below....... ......the Undertaker drops to one knee in that signature pose and the crowd erupts, as Jim Ross screams on commentary that The Deadman just broke Ahmed Johnson completely in half.......but remarkably, through the wreckage below, the hulking frame of Ahmed slowly begins to stir, and to the Undertakers disbelief the mountain of a man begins to drag himself back to his feet.....it doesn’t look as though Ahmed Johnson has finished with the Undertaker.....and even as Jim Cornette pleads with him to save it for another day, it looks as though he’s heading back towards the Phenom..... ......fortunately for both men, clearly the top brass have decided that it’s in both men’s best interest if they are kept apart for the time being, because before Ahmed can make it any further, a large group of backstage personal come charging out from the back to restrain the furious Ahmed Johnson......Ahmed may not be able to physically get to the Undertaker now, but that doesn’t stop him from screaming threats up at the Deadman, who is still positioned above on the entrance ramp.....who has clearly heard enough.....because he takes a few steps back.......before running forward, and in a scene reminiscent of one of his trademark dives over the top rope to the floor, the Undertaker leaps and soars off the stage, crashing down onto Ahmed and the group of people below..... ......in reality, this dive was probably safer than that over the top rope dive that the Undertaker usually performs, since the entrance ramp isn’t really that high, but visually it looked amazing and the crowd lost their s*it, exploding to their feet the moment the Deadman leapt......and now everyone is down.....and as more backstage workers flood the area looking to keep these two behemoths apart, Jim Ross sends us to a promo video for next months King of the Ring, while we try and restore some order around here. Jericho has undergone quite the metamorphosis as of late, from the mild mannered Lion Heart to the egotistical Ayatollah of RocknRolla, and he didn't take to kindly to Mysterio pinning him clean as a whistle in the middle of the ring.....so much so that he assaulted the little luchador with a steel chair to cost him the match, then further assaulted him after the bell and in the weeks leading up to tonight's match...... .....and what a match it was.....say what you want about Rey Mysterio's size or his position on the card, but he's had two big matches on Pay Per View and he's delivered in both of them....first against Raven back at February's In Your House event, and now tonight....because he and Jericho tore the house down in a match that far exceeded my expectations....not that I was expecting a bad match by any means, both of these men are fantastic workers, I just wasn't expecting the reaction that they got from the crowd. Jericho's gradual turn from white meat babyface to cocky heel has done wonders for his career, and Mysterio's showing against Jericho tonight will have done wonders for HIS career..... .....Jericho has toned down his aerial manoeuvres as of late, after all, it's difficult to be an effective heel if the crowd are popping for every spectacular move that you do, but he busts them all out in this one in an effort to match pace with his quicker opponent, while Rey is at his high flying best as usual. These men may be on very different levels when it comes to their perceived position on the roster, (Rey down at the midcard level while Jericho is a flat out main eventer) but you wouldn't know it by the way the match went on, it was a very back and forth affair with both men coming only millimetres away from the win.....Jericho even locked the newly christened Walls of Jericho in, but Mysterio was far to close to the ropes.....Jericho released the hold only long enough to drag Rey back to the middle of the ring, where he again tried to hook the legs to apply the Walls, but Mysterio was able to reverse that into a cradle for as close to a three count as you're going to see...... .....in the end however, it was Jericho that picked up the victory, although be it under rather dubious circumstances....because as Mysterio attempted a springboard hurricanrana on his opponent, Jericho was able to reach up and twist Rey's mask to one side, obscuring his view......and while an unseeing Mysterio WAS able to catch Jericho's foot on a kick attempt, he didn't see the second one coming in the form of an enzuguri, that knocks Rey to the mat where Jericho once again locks in the Walls of Jericho.....this time there is no escape, and despite Mysterio's best efforts, he has little choice but to concede the match right in the middle of the ring. He hams it up in the ring, celebrating like he's just won the most important match of his career, before dropping to the outside for a victory lap of the ring.....he comes to a halt at the timekeepers table, where he collects a microphone and returns to the ring. He first of all makes sure to tell the crowd that they are welcome......he knows how grateful they are to have witnessed such a monumental display of athleticism and quite frankly, heroism.....so they're very welcome.... .....obviously the crowd disapproves of Jericho's showboating, and they let him know it, but Jericho is seemingly oblivious, telling the fans not to boo Rey Mysterio like that..... ".....the little guy tried, he really did.....but that's the problem.....he's just a little guy, and while your hero Chris Jericho may have cut his teeth here in the Light Heavyweight division, obviously with this historic victory tonight, the Ayatollah of RocknRolla has proved that he is THE best Light Heavyweight wrestler in the world today......" .....Chris continues by saying that because of this, it's only fair that he officially retires from Light Heavyweight competition, and let the little guys fight it out amongst themselves, because clearly, Chris Jericho is bigger.....and better.....than the entire division baby. "......because there's some new Royalty in the tag team division, and you're looking at them, King Ass the first, and his Royal Highness the Duke of Doobies......and I'm telling you now, at the King of the Ring, we WILL be your next WWF Tag Team Champions......." No more coming to Raw, no more appearing on WWF TV or Pay Per View.....but more importantly, no appearing on ANYBODIES television or events......because Big Sexy Kevin Nash, will be forced to retire...... .....this is a big gamble for Nash. He's not competed since the Royal Rumble match back in January, almost four months ago.....so not only is ring rust a real possibility, he's also in there with Kane, the unstoppable monster that even the Undertaker can't tame....so quite what Nash has planned is anyone's guess.....although whatever it is he has planned, he's doing it alone, because neither Scott Hall nor Sean Waltman are accompanying him to the ring.....the King remarks that they are probably still in the lobby making sure these Milwaukee fans aren't going through Nash's bags..... .....Kane however is not alone, as Vince McMahon has opted to join the commentary team for this one.....Nash makes sure to check that McMahon has held up his half of the bargain, and sure enough the WWF owner produces two documents.....one, Shawn Michaels restraining order.....and two, Kevin Nash's brand new contract, freshly printed and awaiting McMahons signature..... .....I was initially worried about how this match was going to turn out.....after all, big man vs big man matches can be notoriously hit and miss.....that and neither of these men are exactly known for their ability to carry a match.....and truth be told, we ran this match on a couple of House shows on the run up to this event.....and the bouts didn't go especially well.....what they did do however was allow us to eliminate most of the kinks.....work out the ideal match time....and made for a much, much better match tonight...... ......Nash started strong, but little he did had an effect on the monster. He rocked the big man, but even a big boot only dropped Kane down to one knee, and when he got back to his feet he levelled Big Sexy with a hard throat thrust. From there on in Kane went on the attack, although it was mainly kick/punch offence, because Nash isn’t known for taking the big bumps.....he does get bodyslammed to the mat hard however, followed by Kane mounting the top rope and flying with an impressive Clothesline....doubly impressive given Kane’s seven foot frame..... .....Nash looks to be in a lot of trouble, and McMahon is practically giddy with glee, stating that this is why Kane is his personal problem solver.....unfortunately Kane has a problem of his own, because in a last ditch show of desperation, Big Sexy drops to one knee and almost lifts The Big Red Monster out of his boots with a massive low blow.....and Kane may be a monster, but a low blow is a low blow and he doubles over in pain......Nash instantly tries to deliver a Jacknife, but he’s taken too much punishment and can’t get the big man up..... .....instead Nash lays in a number of clubbing blows to the back of the monster, before going on a run of offence, finally dropping the Monster with a Snake Eyes/Big Boot combination, before signalling for the Jacknife once more...... <img alt="HDOWnFw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HDOWnFw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> .......which is when Shawn Michaels comes running down the aisle......Jim Ross questions first, how Michaels can be out here considering that the restraining order dictates that Nash needs to be fifty feet away from him at all times......and secondly, what he’s planning, because a disqualification victory for Nash is still a victory none the less......McMahon tells Ross not to concern himself with such matters.....and as Michaels picks up a steel chair and slides into the ring, the announcer suddenly declares over the microphone that this match on order of Vince McMahon, is now under no disqualification rules...... .......McMahon chuckles on commentary, as Jim Ross spits out that it was a damn set up all along, McMahon is going to screw Kevin Nash, just like he screwed the Hart Foundation and Steve Austin at the Survivor Series......Michaels suddenly tosses the chair down with a smile on his face, backing into the corner and waiting for Nash to turn around, before letting loose with some Sweet Chin Music........which Nash sidesteps......and Michaels foot connects with the jaw of Kane, just as Nash’s Big Boot connects with the skull of Michaels, knocking the Heartbreak Kid down and to the outside..... ......Nash turns to face Kane, who is staggering but yet to go down....before noticing the steel chair on the mat.....Nash picks the weapon up, before smashing it against the skull of Kane.....once.....twice.....and the third time finally knocks The Big Red Monster to one knee.....Nash tosses the chair to one side, before positioning Kane for the Jacknife and Powerbombing the seven footer to the mat.....and as McMahon stands to his feet with his hands on his head, Nash makes the cover for the one, the two......and the three. He hands his new employer a pen, telling him to sign the contract......which with a shaking hand McMahon does. Nash leans over and signs his own name, before turning and looking at a still groggy Shawn Michaels.....telling Vince that he knows what he has to do next...... .....Vince looks down at the restraining order, before shaking his head, telling Nash that he won’t do it......Nash’s reply is pretty to the point, telling Vince that he can rather tear it up, or Big Sexy is going to make him eat it.....reluctantly Vince tears the paper in half.....and just like that, Shawn Michaels protection goes with it.....and the Heartbreak Kid realises it, as a look of horror breaks out on his face.......and as he scurries quickly to the back, Nash picks up a microphone, telling Shawn...... ”......hey Boy Toy......you can run but you can’t hide......I’ll tell you what though, I’m gonna go to the back.....I’m going to take a shower......I’m going to get dressed in the privacy of the locker room......and then if you’re still around when I’m done.......you’re a dead man.....” ......with that Nash pats Vince roughly on the back, picks up his shiny new contract....and heads up the aisle with a huge smile on his face. This was a good match too.....both men really impressed, putting on a great display, and despite the manpower on the floor Kidman didn’t let it distract him from his game plan.....but that’s not to say the rest of the Nation didn’t have an influence on the match.....in fact they had a rather large hand in the finish...... .....because after Kidman delivered a sit down spine buster to Scorpio near the corner, he climbed up to the top rope, before flying off with the Shooting Star Press.....unfortunately Kama and The Rock had taken it upon themselves to distract the official.....which meant the referee didn’t see Faarooq pull Scorpio out of harms way......he didn’t see Kidman crash into nothing but mat......and he certainly didn’t see Big Nelson climb into the ring to drop a huge splash on the fallen Kidman.....he did however see Scorpio connect with the 450 splash.....and he did see the man make the cover......and three seconds later, we ALL saw a brand new, two time Light Heavyweight Champion In Scorpio. put the Tag Team Championships on the line, against two men that took them to the very wire last month, The Nature Boy Ric Flair and The Enforcer Arn Anderson.....Flair and Anderson have been very busy in their short tenure here in the WWF, starting with a vicious backstage assault on Owen Hart, taking out his knee with a Tyre Iron in a two on one attack.....an attack that Owen has not been seen of since......from there the Hitman was next on their list......while WWF Champion Scott Steiner and Wolfpac members Hall and Waltman have both felt pain at the hands of the two veterans..... ......Owen IS back tonight however.....although he doesn’t look in great shape as he limps down the aisle along side his brother......and while the Harts have those Tag Team Titles wrapped around their waist, Lawler remarks that they might not have them for much longer, because neither Owen or Bret look to be in particularly great shape...... ......last months match between these two teams was fantastic.....this match was good, very good.....but it wasn’t quite on the level that last months was.....but that was more down to the story of the match than anything else.....because the story of the match was Bret’s unwillingness to Tag his brother into the match, citing his bad knee as a reason to keep him on the sidelines.....because of this, Bret went it alone from the moment the bell rang.....and while he certainly started out strong, you are never going to have a great deal of success against Flair and Anderson....certainly not for long periods of time.....in a two on one situation.....and while Owen’s knee may have been injured coming into the match, the Hitman’s knee wasn’t in much better shape.....and obviously that was a target for the former Horsemen, with Arn Anderson in particular being renowned for isolating a limb and working it over..... ......Bret could actually have tagged himself out of danger on a number of occasions, but each time chose to attempt to continue the match to spare his brother......eventually however he had no choice but to relent, and brought his brother into the fray.....Owen steps through the ropes however, and Flair instantly kicks at the knee, dropping Owen to the mat......and after spending less than 20 seconds in the match, Flair clearly decides its time to lock in the Figure Four on Owen.....and take home the gold...... ......Flair reaches down to grab the legs.....and that’s when Owen reaches up......pulls Flair down in a small package and locks it in tight as the official counts one, two, three........ ......Flair and Anderson look shocked, while Bret has a smirk on his face while Owen Hart stands to his feet.....where he jumps up and down over enthusiastically......clearly there is absolutely nothing wrong with his knee.....and as he snatches up the Tag Team Titles and walks to the back with his brother, Jim Ross declares that the Hart Foundation just taught the dirtiest player in the game a new trick.....because clearly this was a set up all along, and Owen Hart’s knee was just fine. have been unthinkable.....Scott Steiner was still considered as nothing more than a Tag Team Wrestler, while Brian Pillman was just another face in the middle of the card......how things have changed, because not only is Scotty a very credible World Champion, but Brian Pillman is arguably one of the biggest names here in the WWF, and one of the most recognisable names in wrestling today......and it’s because of this, that Scott’s short reign as Champion is very much in jeopardy...... ......last month Scott Steiner has a guaranteed five star match of the year contender against Shawn Michaels, and while this match does not quite hold up to that one, it certainly doesn’t come far behind......because this really was an exceptional bout....Steiner’s psychology has come so far since his solo run, that long gone are the days that he needed someone in there with him to guide him along his way.....but if he DID need a helping hand, Brian Pillman could certainly have been the man to do it, because he’s no slouch in the psychology department himself..... ......with Kevin Nash picking up the win earlier tonight, which in turn earned him a brand new contract here in the WWF, Vince will be looking to Brian Pillman to improve his evening, by bringing the WWF Championship back from around the waist of a Champion that McMahon believes is unsuitable to represent his company.....it’s a big ask though, after all Scott Steiner is the only man who can say they have not one, not two.....but three pinfall victories over the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels......but then Brian Pillman can also lay claim to having a pinfall victory over Shawn, and the only televised one on one victory in over eighteen months too.....no small feat in itself..... .....Steiner is in a bad mood tonight, and he enjoys tossing Pillman around the ring to open this match, really showing his strength against the smaller man.....but Pillman is nothing if not a crafty S.o.B, and Scotty still has a bum knee courtesy of Flair and Anderson.......and their trusty Tyre Iron.....so much like with Bret Hart in our previous match, it’s the leg that Pillman works over.....not that it should come as any surprise considering the fact that Pillman has teamed with Arn Anderson on numerous occasions in the past....Steiner manages to fight back however, and it looks like he’s going to put Pillman away with a big Steinerline......except Pillman moves, and it’s the official that goes down....and goes down hard......followed by Steiner.....who gets a steel chair folded across his back as he is checking on the condition of the referee, followed by a second blow across the back of his head that puts him down...... ......still with the weapon in hand.....and the official down......Pillman gets a mad glint in his eye as he takes Steiner’s bad leg and slides it inside the steel chair......and it’s obvious what The Corporate Cannon has in mind......no it’s not Clobbering Time.....it’s Pillmanizing by Pillman, who drags him to his feet, whipping him into the ropes....Austin ducks the Clothesline attempt however, before landing a Thesz Press on to Pillman, before raining blows against the skull of the man who put his leg in plaster back at Wrestlemania..... ......Steiner is slowly regaining his bearings over the opposite side of the ring as Austin drags Pillman to his feet.....kicks him in the gut......and drops him with a Stone Cold Stunner.....before flipping the Corporate Cannon off and rolling back out of the ring.....Austin makes his way around the other side of the ring and begins shaking the official back to his senses, as Steiner slowly get back to their feet..... ......Scotty sees Pillman down, and clearly has no idea as to why.....but he’s not about to look a gift horse in the mouth, dragging his opponent to his feet and whipping him into the ropes......connecting with a Frankensteiner that drives Pillman’s skull into the mat, before making the cover as the official slowly drags himself over to register the one..........the two..........and very slowly, the three.......this one is over. Stone Cold walks back over to Big Poppa Pump, before slapping his hand against the gold winged eagle belt.....telling Steiner in no uncertain terms that he wants a shot at the title.....Steiner has never backed down from a challenge a day in his life, telling Austin any time....any place.....that seems to appease Austin, who nods his head........before kicking Steiner in the gut and nailing him with the Stone Cold Stunner...... ......Austin gets down in Steiner’s face, shouting ”.....D.T.A.....Don’t Trust Anyone son.....” before rolling out of the ring again and heading up the aisle......he reaches the entrance way and turns to look back, where Scott Steiner is up on all fours, staring at Steve Austin with a look of pure fury on his face, as the show comes to a close on a close up of the p*ssed off Big Poppa Pump. That’s another In Your House in the bag.....and actually the first Pay Per View in over 14 months not to feature a match involving Shawn Michaels.....fortunately, Scotty Steiner showed why we put the title on him in the first place, putting on a stellar performance with Brian Pillman in the main event. Rick Rude made it through his first match back in three years relatively unscathed.....he says his back is sore today, but no more than you would usually expect after taking your first bump in over a thousand days.....he was always going to cost his team the match too.....regardless of how well received his return was, Rick is a natural heel..... ....our next event will be the King of the Ring, and it’s going to be a big one again, as thirty two men compete, not only for the title of King of the Ring, but for a guaranteed WWF Title opportunity at Summerslam, with the first round matches starting on this weeks Raw..... ....Jerry Lynn and Scott Steiner of all people have developed a pretty strong friendship recently......and so have Marty Jannetty and Chris Candido....it’s nice to see the guys getting along.....well, most of them.....because for as well as Scotty is getting along with Jerry Lynn, he’s not getting along so well with the British Bulldog, picking a fight with the burly Brit before the Pay Per View that ended up with the two men having to be separated.....I don’t know WHAT started it.....but I know WHO started it, and that who was Scott Steiner......so as much as I like Scotty, I had no choice but to fine him.....Steiner wasn’t particularly pleased about that.....neither was his brother, not that it’s anything to do with him.....Davey was glad to see it hadn’t all just been brushed under the carpet though so at least someone was happy..... ......don’t expect to see Psychosis competing in the Light Heavyweight division any time soon.....he suffered a complete anterior cruciate ligament tear while on tour with Michinoku Pro Wrestling, and the early indications are that he’s going to be out for at least six months.....that’s the risk you take when you’re only signing certain guys to PPA deals I suppose, but then I had no real plans for him, other than another face on the Light Heavyweight Roster, hence the PPA..... .....bizarrely WCW decides to hold their annual Slamboree event the very same night we held In Your House......why, I’m not entirely sure.....they can’t compete with us on TV so why they would think they can compete on Pay Per View is anyone’s guess......especially with the show they put on, because it absolutely sucked..... - Hulk Hogan retained the WCW Title against Big Bubba - (B) - The Giant defeated Meng - (B-) - The Nasty Boys beat The Blue Bloods to retain the WCW Tag Team Titles - (B) - The Barrio Brothers defeated The Public Enemy - (C-) - Diamond Dallas Page retained the WCW US Title over Juventud Guerrera - © - Ice Train pinned The Gambler - © - Super Crazy defeated Scotty Riggs - (C+) - The Pit Bulls beat Men at Work - © - Mike Awesome defeated Blitzkrieg and Lt. I’ve always thought for diaries based in the Wars you really need to control both companies. Otherwise you’ll just dominate and it quickly loses the competitive aspect of the wars. The issue is the game engine is balanced for the cverse db rather than mod makers (as good as they are), so you end up with weird results.

I’ve always thought for diaries based in the Wars you really need to control both companies. Otherwise you’ll just dominate and it quickly loses the competitive aspect of the wars. The issue is the game engine is balanced for the cverse db rather than mod makers (as good as they are), so you end up with weird results.

I think realistically that may be the only option, it's gotten to the point now where the state of WCW is actually dulling the enjoyment of the game for me, it's not even an effort at the moment to outperform them, and the fact that they have had to push guys that wouldn't even crack my midcard at the moment with their popularity says a lot.

You Could always see if a reader wants to take over wcw and see what they can do.

If someone wants a crack at turning them around or has an idea to turn them around they are welcome to chime in.....realistically though I may have to send a few guys over to give them a fighting chance, because while they have a full roster, it's full of crap.

I'm a bit of a mark for a good tournament I'm not going to lie, I look forward to booking the King of the Ring every year, plus you have the added bonus of the shows running up to the event virtually writing themselves lol. I miss the KotR, but I liked the show being mainly made up of the tournament matches, once they filtered that down to just having the semi's and the finals....and possibly at one point just the finals on the card it lost its lustre for me. With the WWE Network now there's no reason they couldn't run a one night King of the Ring every year, even if it's just at a glorified house show much like Starrcade was last year (which I'm still annoyed they didn't air on the Network)....

......but I digress, the show shall be up at some point today I would think

This is Perfects first shot at the King of the Ring since his losing effort against Bret Hart back in 1993, while for Storm, it’s his first chance to be called King ever..... .....these are two great workers, and this WOULD have been a bit of a throwback to that excellent Perfect/Hart match, had it not been for the fact that Perfect was somewhat distracted by the presence of Rick Rude, who was back on commentary tonight after turning his back on long time friend Perfect, in last nights six man tag match. It was this distraction that lead to Storm taking control of the match, after Hennig spent too long hurling insults at the commentary table..... .....in the end however, despite a really strong showing, Curt was able to pick up the victory, after catching Storm with the Perfect-Plex to advance in the tournament. Daniels is a pretty good utility worker, who can get in there with anyone, any size......and Marty has turned into a useful face in the midcard, and since his last stint in rehab has been on his best behaviour......Marty is a good worker, but he’s never going to be a major main event player around here, simply because he’s lacking too much....he’s can’t cut a great promo and his “look” has never really evolved from his Rocker days.....but then there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a solid midcarder......after all, midcarders still pick up quite a few wins......like here for example......as Marty advances in the tournament, after catching Daniels square in the chin with the Into the Void Superkick. In the end it was Kama that was able to put that pressure to good use......well, Kama AND Nelson, because the heavyweight of the Nation was there at ringside, and after a good match, it’s his interference that hands this match to Kama, who advances to the second round. This was another great angle......because with Matt Hardy still down, Rich climbs into the ring, looking to take out his frustration on the downed Matt Hardy.......poor Matt gave as good as he got in his match with Steiner a few weeks ago, but he never had a chance here, because he was down and in trouble before he even realised Steiner was in the ring......Steiner picks Hardy up and drills him into the Matt with the Steiner (Death Valley) Driver, as DiBiase stands back riling up the crowd like a pro.....as Jarrett comes towards Hardy, looking to apply the Figure Four Leg Lock...... <img alt="YMPG1tH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YMPG1tH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ......luckily Matts brother, Jeff Hardy is on hand to put a stop to that.....as he comes charging down the aisle and into the ring, laying Jarrett out with a clothesline to the back of the head, before turning his attention to Rich.....Hardy is doing well for himself too, driving Steiner back into the turnbuckles, where he mounts the second rope before going for the traditional ten punches as the crowd counts along.......he only reaches six however, before Jarrett smashes that acoustic equaliser across his back...... ......now both Hardy's are down....and as Steiner crushes an already half unconscious Jeff Hardy with a Steiner Driver, Jarrett goes back to attempting to hook on the Figure Four Leg Lock onto Matt....... <img alt="W4oTIs4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/W4oTIs4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> .......until we have run in number two....and this time it's the newest signing to the WWF, The Worlds Most Dangerous Man, Ken Shamrock.......Ken climbs into the ring, and Jarrett charges to cut him off, but Shammy catches hold of Double J, before tossing him over the top rope and down to the floor with an overhead Belly to Belly......and then Steiner and Shamrock lock eyes, before running at each other and exploding with a barrage of punches to one another......Steiner tries to catch hold of Shamrock for a German Suplex, but Shamrock turns it around, hitting a German of his own, before looking to apply what seems to be an ankle lock......but we don't find out what it's going to be.....because Jarrett reaches into the ring and drags Steiner to the outside, before DiBiase orders his troops to the back, as Shamrock checks on the Hardy's. ".....and honestly....it's an improvement, I could get used to it......" .....Dok says that tonight, Snow has got to get in there with a familiar face, and man that he has quite the storied history with....the leader of the Flock, Raven.....while next week, Chris Candido will be in action, when he takes on Chris Jericho. Candido says in truth, this King of the Ring tournament is so important to him.....because it's his way out of teaming with Al Snow..... "......because there's a World Title opportunity at Summerslam for the winner, and there's no way that Vince McMahon will want his World Champion associating with.........that....." .....Chris indicates towards Snow, who still looks lost in thought.....Dok finally places a hand on Al's shoulder, startling the man, before asking him how he is going to fare against Raven next..... "......Raven?.....I'm facing Raven?....." "........yes.....next......." ".......oh.......I'll probably lose......Raven always beats me.......see you later Dok......" .......and with that Snow walks off in the direction of the ringside area, ready to face Raven.....Hendrix and Candido just watch him leave, a smile on Candido's face, while Dok looks shocked...... ".......he never calls me Dok.......that was almost......normal......" ".......I know........" smiles Candido ".....wonderful isn't it......" before he too walks out of shot, leaving Hendrix all alone, still with a look of concern on his face, as we go back down to Jim Ross and Rick Rude. Rating: A* </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="Cy5KT5G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Cy5KT5G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="wnBGIqa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wnBGIqa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> King of the Ring: 1st Round Match Our final match of the evening sees two of the biggest names in wrestling right now, square off for quite possibly the first time ever.....as Kevin Nash of the Wolfpac goes one on one with the man, the myth, the legend.....the Nature Boy....Ric Flair....the last time these two were in the same promotion was way back in 1991, just before Ric jumped ship to the WWF for the first time....of course the two never actually clashed back then, mainly because Flair was the WCW World Champion......while Kevin Nash was, well.....a scrub...... .....how the times have changed though, because as Flair enters the twilight of his career, Nash is in the peak of his, and today is arguably the bigger star of the two men......I say today, because Ric Flair will be a name synonymous with wrestling for decades to come....Lou Thesz, Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan.....Ric Flair........Kevin Nash is probably never going to be held in the same regard as those four men.....but today, Big Sexy is Big Over...... ......this match was as good as it was ever going to be, considering Nash's limitations and Flairs declining abilities, it was never going to be a five star classic....but the two men still put on the match of the night......of course, the chance of this one ending cleanly was always slim......and to the surprise of no one, it didn't.......because as Nash has Flair positioned for what would have certainly been a match ending Jacknife Powerbomb....... <img alt="HDOWnFw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HDOWnFw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ......Shawn Michaels came walking out from the back......clearly the Heartbreak Kid is here after all. Flair sees that he's suddenly outnumbered and bails, joining Michaels and Anderson on the outside, leaving Hall and Waltman to check on the condition of Nash, as Flair, Arn and Michaels head to the back, clearly pleased with their nights work, as the show comes to a close. This Monday Night was dominated by King of the Ring first round matches.....and to be fair, with so many matches to get through, most of the upcoming weeks are going to be made up primarily of Tournament matches, leading up to the King of the Ring itself, which will feature all four quarter final matches.....the semi-finals....and obviously the final match of the tournament....but that's not to say there won't be more matches on the event, with a big WWF Title triple threat match already signed, as well as a WWF Tag Team Title match...... ......there's a bidding war going on over in the Far East, as NJPW are trying to poach Mitsuharu Misawa away from AJPW.....Misawa is the current Triple Crown Champion, and obviously one of the main players in All Japan, so if New Japan can bring him over it would be a major coup..... ......Ricky Morton picked up a major injury this past week while working for the USWA, as he suffered a Epidural Intracranial Hematoma that is going to keep him out of action for at LEAST twelve months, that's if he even comes back at all.....after all, Morton is no spring chicken.....for now at least, the wheels have come off the Rock n Roll Express.... ....speaking of injurys, looks like the wrestling gods have been dishing out a bit of karma, because after the huge slap in the face that was Sting having to go to a no contest with virtual scrub Jeep Swenson.....the man who played Bane is going to be on the shelf for 6 months after suffering an Open Fibula Fracture.....that's one more "main eventer" down for WCW, because for as ridiculous as it sounds, Jeep was definitely being pushed hard...... <div style="text-align:center;">King of the Ring: 1st Round Matches from Superstars Ahmed Johnson squashed Savio Vega in about three minutes Psycho Sid defeated Bill DeMott in a match that saw the rest of the Flock make their way out to ringside.
