Hey man, so I read all 56 pages of this BRILLIANT diary, and I am so sucked in now I'm impatiently waiting for the next show. Excellent story telling, amazing character development, just all around fantastic.

When I read promos, it's exactly how I'd imagine each character, it's so great. Keep up the good work man!

Week 1, June 1997

Reunion Arena (Dallas, Texas)

ATT: 16,500

TV: 31.32

j2Tooev.jpgLjBLTcA.jpg

We are just three weeks away from the 1997 King of the Ring, a King of the Ring that will feature two men in the main event who arguably began their rise to superstardom one year ago at LAST years King of the Ring....because twelve months ago, Scott Steiner defeated the dominant Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, on route to his most successful year ever, winning the Intercontinental Championship, the Royal Rumble and the World Wrestling Federation title in the next nine months....while Steve Austin defeated the British Bulldog, Roddy Piper and Bret Hart, all in one night to become the 1996 King of the Ring, giving birth to the hugely successful "Stone Cold" persona at the same time.......now twelve months later, both men are once again competing at the event that made them, this time against each other....as Scott Steiner puts the WWF Championship on the line against Stone Cold Steve Austin.....AND the Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman.....

......tonight however, (for now at least) Brian Pillman is nowhere to be seen, but Steiner and Austin seem to have picked right up where the left off last week, because the show opens in the back.....where Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner and the man Steiner called a Rattlesnake seven days ago, Stone Cold Steve Austin, are pummelling the holy hell out of each other in the locker room.....clearly they didn't manage to settle their differences before being escorted out of the building last week, although Rick Rude mentions that it's highly possible that these two have been fighting non-stop for seven days now....

......the two men are causing quite some damage too, slamming one another off lockers, walls and doors.....until finally, much like last week, they are inundated by a slew of backstage workers, who eventually manage to separate them, as the opening credits roll, with Austin and Steiner spitting venom at each other as only they can.....

"src="https://i.imgur.com/VyZsGsv.gif">

The show finally officially begins, and we go briefly to the announce desk, where Jim Ross and Ravishing Rick Rude welcome us to the show.....not that they have much chance to do much else, because they are soon interrupted by the owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon, who makes his way down to the ring with quite the entourage.....Shawn Michaels (with the beautiful Sunny on his arm), Brian Pillman, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson......with his own enforcer, Kane by his side as always......

<img style="max-width:50%;

"src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg"><img style="max-width:50%;

"src="https://i.imgur.com/FXeuMio.jpg">

.....the group climb into the ring, where Vince riles up the crowd as only he can, before telling them that they should be thinking him......

”.......because much as you saw last week, neither Scott Steiner or Stone Cold Steve Austin have any idea how to behave in a manner befitting a WWF Champion, brawling like common street thugs in the locker rooms.......which is why I have PERSONALLY ensured that the two gentlemen....and I use that term loosely.....have BOTH been evicted from the building tonight......and instead you have these fine individuals before you.....men of class.....men of dignity......men that I am PROUD to have represent the World Wrestling Federation.....”

......obviously that draws some heat from the crowd.....but not as much as when the Heartbreak Kid tells them to shut their mouths......

......he says that last week, Kevin Nash may have “officially” advanced in the King of the Ring tournament, with a cheap and hollow victory over the Nature Boy, but in doing so, well.....let’s just say that Big Daddy Cool is more like Big Daddy Gimp right now, because his knee went pop in the process.....Kevin may have advanced, but that’s as far as his knee is going to take him......and with one little Wolf lame at home, that just leaves Hall and Waltman tonight......and the Enforcer Arn Anderson, he’s going to make sure that the Bad Guy joins that traitor Kevin Nash on the injured list later tonight......because there’s only ONE man that’s going to win the King of the Ring tournament and go on to Summerslam to compete for the World Wrestling Federation Champion......and that man.....

”......is the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels......”

.......Pillman takes the microphone next, declaring......

”......and oh what a night it will be.....and truly an honour.....to defend my WWF Championship against the Man.....the Icon.....the Showstopper......because as sure as the sun sets, and the moon rises, while Shawn Michaels is being anointed as the 1997 King of the Ring, the Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman will be ascending to his throne, at the top of the World Wrestling Federation........after all, Scott Steiner and Steve Austin might think they are the baddest S.o.B’s around......but the PENCIL is mightier than the sword......(Brian walks over to Mr. McMahon and places an arm around his shoulder).......and NO ONE has a mightier pencil, than this man right here.......”

.....Pillman breaks out into his frankly maniacal laugh, before continuing that with the way Steiner and Austin are carrying on, they may not even make it to King of the Ring.....hell they may not even make it to next week......but that’s ok, because Brian Pillman will always be here, to ensure that all the wretched refuse in the crowd, have a Champion they can be proud of.......

.......The Nature Boy and the Enforcer bring the segment to a close, with Arn telling the Wolfpac that a win is not always a victory......and sometimes you have more to gain with a loss.......with Flair continuing that.....

”.......because while the Nature Boy......Woooooooo.......might not be crowned the King of the Ring.......on one bad wheel, neither will Kevin Nash.......and I’ve got news for you all.....you don’t need to be crowned a King......when you’re already a Wrestling God......”

.......Anderson says that while Kevin Nash is sat at home tonight with his feet up, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman are here.......

”.......and so are we........what you see before you, is the greatest group of wrestlers alive today......assembled all in one place, live and in living colour.....and there’s nothing anybody can do about it.....and one way or another, that World Wrestling Federation is coming back where it belongs.....Scott Hall, we’ll see YOU later tonight.......”

King of the Ring: 1st Round Match

Much like last week, the entirety of tonight’s matches are King of the Ring first round matches, and our first one of the evening sees the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, face off against the Million Dollar Corporations Rich Steiner......

.....obviously both men would love to be main eventing Summerslam.....for the Bulldog, the WWF Championship is the only Title here in the World Wrestling Federation that he’s never held (apart from the Light Heavyweight Title obviously, but Davey is nowhere near eligible for that) as he is currently the only man to have held WWF Tag Team, Intercontinental and European Gold......while Rich Steiner I’m sure would like nothing more than to Main Event the biggest event of the summer.....ESPECIALLY if his brother is the man still holding the Gold come August.....

.....Steiner obviously has Ted DiBiase out here with him, while the Bulldog is all alone.....in fact, Bret and Owen Hart aren’t even in attendance tonight according to Jim Ross (although he does mention that he has a special pre-taped sit down interview with the Harts coming up next).....but while not content with ONE man on the outside, Steiner attempts to utilise a second, because as DiBiase draws the attention of the official, Jeff Jarrett comes running down the aisle, hopping up onto the apron with guitar in hand......Rich picks up the Bulldog and drags him over to the ropes, holding him wide open for a shot from the acoustic equaliser........except it’s a shot that doesn’t come........

<img style="max-width:10%;

"src="https://i.imgur.com/yNkcmqb.jpg"><img style="max-width:10%;

"src="https://i.imgur.com/W4oTIs4.jpg">

......because Ken Shamrock comes running down the aisle, yanking Jarrett off the apron by his legs and nailing him with right hands, driving him all the way to the back.......

......Steiner is furious at Shamrocks interference, and screams up the aisle in the direction of the disappearing UFC star.....and when he turns back around, the Bulldog is waiting.....and one Running Powerslam later, Rich Steiner is out of the tournament.

Winner: The British Bulldog

Rating: B

cV65vQq.jpgo8GrTsa.jpgqQmwebo.jpg

From there we go to a pre-taped sit down interview that Jim Ross conducted with Bret and Owen Hart earlier in the week, conducted from the famed Hart House in Calgary......Ross first thanks the Harts for their time and hospitality and engaging in some small talk, before getting down to business.....he congratulated the brothers for finally achieving their dream of holding WWF Tag Team Gold together, stating that it was a long time coming......both brothers agree that it was indeed a long time coming.....they have had to work incredibly hard and overcome some seemingly insurmountable obstacles to get where they are today......and as Ric Flair and Arn Anderson found out, they’re not giving the titles up without a fight......

.....Jim Ross asks about those “insurmountable obstacles”, stating that the Harts appear to have somewhat of a chip on their shoulders lately, with the oft used phrase “screwed” being used to describe their last year......so they care to elaborate on that? Obviously they do, with Bret saying they have been screwed over from the top, all the way down.....starting at Wrestlemania XII when Shawn Michaels and the KLiQ screwed Bret out of the WWF Title, before reeling off a whole list of people that have done them wrong......Michaels, McMahon, Austin, Pillman, Nash, Hall, Waltman, the Nation of Domination......Owen says that people might be cheering Austin and the Wolfpac now, but the Harts haven’t forgotten everything they did to them.....

”........and you only have to look at the Title situation right now to see that screwing people over gets you to the top of the wrestling business these days......Faarooq, The Rock, Scorpio.....with the exception of us, there’s not a Champion in this business that represents traditional values......look at our challengers at the King of the Ring.....the New Age Outlaws.....two degenerates that screwed over a couple of future legends like Mr. Perfect and Barry Windham to make a name for themselves.......”

......Jim Ross asks about Scott Steiner, he’s done nothing to screw the Harts over, surely he’s a deserving Champion? Bret says they have no problem with Steiner personally, he’s never done anything to them and he certainly earned his WWF Championship......but.......even he isn’t what you could call a family friendly Champion with some of his words and actions.....really, the Hart Foundation are the only Champions in the WWF that you can safely let your children watch........wrestling has changed.....and not necessarily for the better......you’ve got a World Champion obsessed with his own genitalia......the joint number one contenders are a foul mouthed, middle finger flipping redneck in Steve Austin, and a man that screwed even his so called friend over to get where he is today in Brian Pillman......you’ve got the KLiQ still dominating the television.......you’ve got Goldust and Marcus doing, whatever the hell it is they’re in to......and then you’ve got the New Age Outlaws, fully grown men running round telling people to “suck it”......Bret says there are no heroes left in wrestling, no role models......just degenerates, thugs and hooligans.....and the Harts are here to make sure that there is still some hope in the WWF.....

......Jim Ross comments that the British Bulldog will be competing on Raw (as we just saw).....considering the fact that Davey was “screwed” out of the European Championship at In Your House, are Bret and Owen going to be at ringside to ensure he has a fair shot in his match? Bret however is apparently still smarting that it was the Wolfpac that saved him during a beatdown from Flair and Anderson a few weeks back, stating that the Harts won’t be at Raw......they have a Tag Title match to prepare for, and it’s too important that they continue to reign as Champions, for them to be running around making sure Davey is ok, when he couldn’t do the same for Bret a few weeks back......Jim Ross is rather taken aback by that, stating that Davey has had his hands full with the Nation of Domination as of late, but Bret is unyielding in his answer.....

......Ross wraps the interview up, thanking the Harts for their time, before asking if they have any final words......they do......Bret thanks their fans.....the REAL fans that still stand for honesty and integrity......the REAL fans, that know Steve Austin and the Wolfpac are still the same backstabbing jerks that they were six months ago.....before promising that at In Your House, the Hart Foundation will prove to the world that they rare exactly what they say they are......the Best there is.....the best there was........and the best there ever will be.

King of the Ring: 1st Round Match

We are back live in the arena, and it’s time for another King of the Ring match, as the newly christened Marcus has the dubious task of going one on one with the Undertaker......The Deadman has had his hands full with Ahmed Johnson as of late, after Ahmed turned his back on his fans to side with Jim Cornette of all people, costing the Undertaker a Wrestlemania victory over his brother a few months back.....since then Ahmed has been hell bent on proving he’s badder than the Undertaker, with the two embarking in a brutal brawl at In Your House, as well as last week on Raw.......Ahmed isn’t here tonight however, after destroying his first King of the Ring opponent Savio Vega on Superstars in around three minutes.......

......it takes the Deadman slightly longer than that to put Marcus away tonight.....and Goldust’s stylist certainly has more offence than Savio got in on Superstars, but the result was still the same, with the Undertaker finishing his opponent off with a brutal Tombstone Piledriver to advance to the second round.

Winner: The Undertaker

Rating: B

rnLgWN8.jpgnspMb1F.jpg

With the victory in the bag, the Deadman grabs a microphone, stating that this “thing” on the mat was simply his first step on the road to the WWF Championship......he says that he’s been ruling as the King of the Darkside for years now, but at the King of the Ring, the Undertaker is going to earn something more important to him than a crown.....he’s going to earn a shot at the WWF Title at Summerslam.....

”......and nothing is going to stop me from once again, becoming the World Wrestling Federation Champion.......”

.......Taker says that he knows Ahmed Johnson is still in this tournament......and he hope that their paths meet somewhere down the line.......because when Ahmed steps in the ring with the Undertaker.......

”......you will.......Rest.......in.........Peace......”

......from there Jim Ross begins signing off for a commercial break.....before stopping, telling us that there appears to be a commotion in the lobby of the arena, and we are trying to get cameras down there right now......

Rating: A

......and we do indeed have a commotion.....because Stone Cold Steve Austin and Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner appear to have found their way back in the arena, and they are currently beating the crap out of each other as a wall of fans watch on......Ross tells us that while McMahon may have thought he’d seen the last of these two men tonight, it looks as though they are far from finished with each other......Rude on the other hand just calls this stupidity, stating that the WWF Championship is going to be easy pickings for Brian Pillman by the time this pair have finished with each other......

......once again the brawling pair get set upon by backstage workers......at least ten of whom get nailed and tossed to one side as Austin and Steiner attempt to kill each other.....with Steiner driving one poor (developmental wrestler) security guard straight through the side wall of a nearby T-Shirt stall......fortunately reinforcements arrive and these two men are finally separated, as the feed abruptly cuts out, according to Ross, on the order of Vince McMahon, who doesn’t want either Steiner or Austin getting anymore air time tonight, as we go back to ringside.

King of the Ring: 1st Round Match

Last week Kama advanced to the second round of the King of the Ring tournament with a big win over Rikishi (with a little help from Nation brother Nelson).....tonight it’s Big Nelson’s turn to go up against the Son’s of Samoa.....and they may have to reinforce the ring for this one, because his opponent is the mammoth Kokina.....and he’s not come alone, because Rikishi is with him to try and neutralise any of the outside interference that cost him his match last week......

.......there is over 1000lbs of mass in that ring between these two men.....and it makes for a slow, plodding match that sees the two big bulls basically hammer each other with blows, with the highlight of the match being an impressive (huge) belly to (huge) belly variation, that would have scored him the victory had Kama not placed Nelson’s foot on the ropes to break the count.....

.......that springs Rikishi into action, who runs around to clash with Kama.....unfortunately that draws the attention of the official away from the fact that Faarooq has made his way down the aisle, and with Nelson down Kokina backs up, looking to gain some some momentum for that big leg drop by rebounding off the ropes.....unfortunately Faarooq has pulled the top rope down......and Kokina’s massive frame tumbles right to the floor.....and when Kokina goes down, he stays down.....which is why the official is able to deliver a count of ten, before awarding the match to Nelson.

With another victory in the books for the Nation of Domination, The Rock and Scorpio join Kama and Faarooq at ringside, before all four men join Nelson in the ring to congratulate their brother on his win.....Faarooq has a microphone (as he often does) and addresses the braying crowd.....he cuts pretty much the same promo as he did last week, berating the fans for booing every black man in the WWF.....he says that if Stone Cold Steve Austin came out here and helped Scott Steiner win a match, these people would be cheering the roof of the building.........but Kama, Nelson.....the Nation of Domination, they do nothing but boo........Ahmed Johnson, nothing but boo.......the first ever African American Intercontinental Champion and you do nothing but boo.....

”.......you people want something to boo, well the Nation of Domination, we’ll give you something to boo......when either Kama or Nelson here walk out of the King of the Ring wearing that crown......Nelson has done it before, he can do it again.......and then, THEN......whether Nelson wins or whether Kama wins, you will be looking at your next......first......black......WWF Champion......now boo that......”

.....and they do boo that......and they’re still booing that as the Nation hold up their fists in salute, as we go to the back, where Dok Hendrix is standing by with Chris Jericho.

......who has a less than impressed look on his face......in fact in all honesty he looks as though he’s been sucking on a lemon.....

.....Dok tells Jericho, that tonight he will be facing Chris Candido in a first round match of the King of the Ring tournament.....and Jericho must be feeling pretty confident after his big win against Rey Mysterio a few weeks ago at In Your House......

”........confident? Of course I’m confident Dot......do you know why I’m confident?......”

“......because you’re.......”

“........because I’m better than Chris Candido in every way, that’s why......do you know why I’m better than Chris Candido Dot?.......”

“........I’d.........”

“.........because he’s just another damn Light Heavyweight, and I literally just told everyone at In Your House, that everybody's hero, Chris Jericho, already proved that he was better than that entire division.....it’s not fair on THEM Dot to keep putting them against me......I’m just thinking about the well beings of those little guys, it’s got to be demoralising to have to face the Ayatollah of RocknRolla, knowing that you’re going to lose.......”

“.......I don’t think that’s a fair assumption, I mean, Chris Candi..........”

“.......well I say NO MORE Dot.......being the selfless competitor that I am.....being the hero to the people that I am......tonight will be the LAST night, that I step foot in that ring with a Light Heavyweight.......because when I win the King of the Ring, YOUR hero Chris Jericho, will be moving on to Summerslam......where he’ll become the brand new WWF Champion baby......yeah!.....”

......with that Jericho turns on his heels and exits stage left, leaving a slightly befuddled Dok Hendrix to send us back down to ringside.

King of the Ring: 1st Round Match

So here is that match.......and it’s the battle of the Chris’, as Chris Candido faces off against Chris Jericho......and for Chris (Candido that is) this King of the Ring tournament is like a get out of jail free card....because if Candido can win the King of the Ring, and go on to Summerslam to capture the WWF Championship, it will certainly mean the end of his unwanted association with the rather unstable Al Snow......of course, first he has to get past Chris Jericho.....

......Jericho may already think he’s the King of the Light Heavyweights, but if he thought Chris Candido was going to be a pushover, he was severely mistaken......in fact, the former Bodydonna almost had this match won a number of times...........

.......and it was only the arrival of Edge and Christian that put a stop to his offence.....the pair make their way out with Head tucked under their arm......and she appears to have had a slight make over.......in fact a full make over.....eye shadow, lipstick the lot......a little heart on her cheek with E&C inside it......she kinda looks like Sherri Martel circa 1992....only scarier...,..

......not that Candido gives a damn.....he turns to tell the Canadians that he couldn’t care less about the stupid head, before turning his attention back to Jericho......who unfortunately had all the recovery time he needed, catching Candido with a Springboard Dropkick, before locking on the Walls of Jericho......and with Edge and Christian rubbing salt in the wound, standing right in his line of sight and taunting him with Head, Candido has little choice but to submit, sending Chris Jericho into the second round.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Rating: B

xsr2jxl.jpg

Jericho celebrates in the most over the top way imaginable, as Edge and Christian head to the back laughing......Jericho takes the mic and tells the crowd that if that doesn’t prove it, then nothing will.......

”........because I just beat another Light Heavyweight here in Skippy Malicky.....and this is exactly why you will never........EVER......see me step foot in the ring with a Light Heavyweight again......it’s just becoming embarrassing now........little Rey Rey, the Mexican Midget? Check, beat him at In Your House........Scorpio? The current Champion? Yep......who do you think I won’t the title off in the first place.......Chaco Guerrero? Jerry Lynn? The 123 Kid.......check, check and check......you name em, I’ve beat them........so please, matchmakers in the back.........just stop with the little guys, because this super sexy Heavyweight has beaten them all baby........”

......Rick Rude says that Jericho has a point.....he has beaten everyone there is to beat, now it’s just a matter of time before he gets another shot at that Heavyweight Championship.......Jericho is still continuing his tirade in the ring, when some unfamiliar music interrupts him........

........as the man of 1000 holds, Dean Malenko shockingly walks out from the back.......the crowd know who he is, and so does Jericho, but he’s still not happy about the interruption.....Malenko climbs into the ring and tells Chris that he can think of one Light Heavyweight that he’s never defeated......

”.......me!.......”

........Jericho is furious about the interruption however, telling Malenko that he’s in the wrong building......the wrong company......

”.......and the wrong wrestler......because like I just said shorty, I’m DONE with fighting all the midgets around here.......”

......with that Jericho tosses his microphone and goes to exit the ring.....he pauses as he’s about to step through the ropes however, seeing that Malenko has his back turned, and runs back towards the newcomer.......Malenko is a veteran of the sport however, and sees the attack coming, sidestepping Jericho and backing him into the ropes with right hands, before sending him across the ring with an Irish Whip, hitting a picture perfect dropkick on the return.....Malenko hooks Jericho’s legs and looks as though he’s about to try and lock in the Texas Cloverleaf, but Jericho is too close to the ropes, using the bottom one to drag himself to the safety of the floor, before bailing up the aisleway as the WWF’s newest arrival invites him back into the ring, and Jim Ross sends us to commercial.

We are back, and once again we go to Dok Hendrix, who’s standing by now with the number one contenders to the WWF Tag Team Titles, Bad Ass Billy Gunn and the Road Dogg Jesse James, the New Age Outlaws......Dok says that they are just a few short weeks away from facing the Hart Foundation at the King of the Ring....before asking whether they saw the Harts comments from earlier in the evening.....

......Road Dogg says they did.....and all they heard was a bunch of bitching and complaining from one dinosaur that doesn’t realise that it’s not 1985 anymore, and his baby brother who’s old before his time.....he says that the Hart Foundation USED to be great, but all that Cold Canadian air has obviously gone to their heads, and the world has passed them by.......

”.......this ain’t an age to say your prayers, vitamins went out with the 8 track.....and the only demandment that the Outlaws live by, is that if someone doesn’t like what you have to say, you tell them to Suck It......”

.......Billy goes to say something, but suddenly the promo time is interrupted by a huge commotion.......

King of the Ring: 1st Round Match

Back to the action now, and it’s Scott Hall of the Wolfpac squaring off against the Enforcer Arn Anderson......Flair and Anderson haven’t had much positive to say about the Wolfpac, and last week (with the aid of Arn’s trusty Tyre Iron) put Kevin Nash’s chances of being crowned the King of the Ring in serious jeopardy, taking out the knee of the big seven footer.....

......tonight Scott Hall will be looking to gain a measure of revenge on Anderson, and he’s not coming alone, because while Arn has Ric Flair in his corner, Hall has got Sean Waltman with him, so dirtiest player in the game or not, The Nature Boy is going to have a tough time interfering in this one.....

......the match itself is actually very good, especially when you take into account both men’s physical limitations and the relative shortness of the match (around 12 minutes), but they crammed a lot of action in during that twelve minutes, including Ric Flair chop blocking Sean Waltman on the outside, opening up a little bit of breathing space for the Nature Boy to get involved in the match......and it may well have spelled the end for Hall............

........had it not been for a commotion breaking out in the crowd, as the camera’s zoomed in on Scott Steiner and Steve Austin brawling their way through the fans.....they’ve finally shaken off the pursuing backstage workers, as they punch and kick their way past the screaming audience, before finally disappearing through an entrance at the top of the stairs and disappearing out of sight.......

......the distraction was enough for Waltman to regain his bearings, driving the Nature Boy between the eyes with his plaster cast arm, just as Hall gets Anderson up in the Razors Edge for the one, the two, and the three.

King of the Ring: 1st Round Match

Our main event of the evening marks an important night for young Rey Mysterio.....as it’s his first time closing the show.....and in reality, it will probably be the only time he closes the show.....for now anyway.......because in reality, Rey is still a good six months to a year away from “main event status”, but he went a huge step closer with this display, because this match was fantastic......but then, he was in there with Shawn Michaels after all.....

......this was just a straight up match too.....no bells and whistles, no shenanigans or interference or elaborate back story.....just a test of what young Rey could do against the big boys.....fortunately, there’s not a lot that Shawn Michaels can’t do in that ring, and he was able to perfectly compliment Rey’s high flying offence with a little bit of his own, before grounding the little luchador to take control of the match.....

......the two men went back and forth, with Michaels selling Mysterio’s offence perfectly to ensure that Rey looked every bit the threat to the Heartbreak Kid......of course, picking up a victory here was always going to be a big ask for the masked man, and despite a valiant effort, Shawn Michaels booked his place in the second round of the tournament, with a Sweet Chin Music.....your winner, Shawn Michaels.

Winner: Shawn Michaels

HDOWnFw.jpgj2Tooev.jpgLjBLTcA.jpg

Victory for Michaels, but his celebration is cut short, as the evening long battle between Steve Austin and Scott Steiner bursts out of the entrance way, as the two men come brawling out from the back and down the aisle, towards an increasingly worried Shawn Michaels, who is clearly planning his exit strategy with every step closer to the ring that these two men get.......

iXAv5bk.jpgwnBGIqa.jpgmsPbqH3.jpg

......fortunately for Shawn.....(not that Steiner or Austin had even noticed he was there, they were too busy pummelling each other)......the dulling duo are set upon by Brian Pillman, Ric Flair and the Enforcer Arn Anderson.....with Pillman looking to get an early advantage on his In Your House opponents, while Flair and Anderson are clearly p*ssed that Austin and Steiner’s distraction earlier cost Arn his spot in the King of the Ring.....

.....never one to turn down an opportunity to beat on Scott Steiner, Shawn Michaels soon joins the fun....and since Austin and Steiner have been brawling on and off for the best part of two hours, they are easy pickings for the four on two assault, as Flair and company (the Faux Horsemen if you will....ha, I crack myself up) drag Big Poppa Pump and Stone Cold into the ring, where they proceed to lay an almighty beating on them....

zDiEZgK.jpglbc4nWL.jpg

.......at least until Scott Hall and Sean Waltman come running down the aisle, each armed with a steel chair.....they slide into the ring, but Michaels, Pillman, Flair and Anderson have already bailed.....and make their way up the aisle, laughing at a job well done......Steiner and Austin are down, while Hall and Waltman invite the foursome back to the ring.....they’re having none of it however.....they’ve had their fun, and now they’re heading to the back as the show comes to a close.

I’m starting to wonder if Vince is putting something in the water around here.....either that, or Dr. Zahorian is back on the scene.....because once again we have a somewhat Light Heavyweight superstar packing on the pounds......this time it’s Lance Storm, who turned up to Superstars absolutely ripped.....honestly he’s never looked better, and it will certainly help his image because he was a little......bland.....but still, Vince must be thrilled to see so many of his roster pumping the iron......

.....Nitro was terrible this week.....absolutely terrible.....and with I.R.S, the Nasty Boys, Meng, The Barbarian and the Warlord featured predominantly, it was like a 1992 episode of Superstars......that and their Main Event didn’t feature a single Main Eventer.....

Michael Wallstreet, Fit Finlay and Chris Benoit defeated United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page and Tag Team Champions The Nasty Boys......way to protect your Champs guys (B)

Meng beat Shark Boy (C-)

The Barbarian beat Bunkhouse Buck (D+)

Sting beat Mando Guerrero (B-)

Randy Savage beat Warlord (B)

......quite the stellar line up there......I think it’s safe to say that Raw this week will put that to shame.....

Five guys that you think could benefit from a move to WCW?

Comments:

1. Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice- I feel like both would get a better chance in WCW and I hate Jarrett so seeing him gone would make me happy.

2. Sons of Samoa- Both haven't been doing anything and their menace would be welcomed in WCW.

3. Bradshaw- Wouldn't get any air time on the current roster and could have more potential in WCW, where he can bring some youth to the roster.

4. British Bulldog- Bulldog seems to be getting lost in the shuffle and doesn't have much chance for any good story lines.

5. Shawn Michaels- This is a big one. Hear me out, first of all after Nash gets his revenge I don't see much for him to do afterwards unless he somehow joins the Wolfpac and gets redemption, I don't see him doing much. Second of all, he would provide much needed star power, talent and youth to WCW where he could be a massive star for them.

Probably through some shenanigans.

Five guys that you think could benefit from a move to WCW?

Shawn Michaels - Seriously, I'm not sure what your plan is for him, but he'd most likely help out WCW in many ways. Besides, since you have the Wolfpac, DX can become a thing in this alternate reality world for WCW, along with nWo. Heel DX vs. Heel nWo would be awesome to see just for the quality matches Shawn & Hogan could theoretically have. Also, Savage and/or Sting vs. Michaels. That should be enough to cream any wrestling fan's pants. Seriously, do it.

Sid Vicious - In an already stacked main-event scene, Sid wouldn't even be sniffing the world championship against guys like Austin, Steiner, Nash, and Cactus. In WCW, he's already incredibly popular down South and would instantly be seen as a viable champion considering how it's looking right now. It would be the right choice to let him go to WCW to make things more interesting.

The Hart Foundation - With your WWF already cluttered with groups (The Nation, The Corporation, The Million Dollar Group, The Nation of Domination, Raven's Flock, Wolfpac), it would probably be a neat idea to move Bret, Owen, & Davey Boy over to WCW to serve as protagonistic foils against (in my mind if this happens) both heel nWo and DX. The quality of matches they could have with guys like Hogan, Savage, Sting, and the rest of the roster would easily balance out WCW as a more viable piece of competition. This also serves to further the Shawn/Bret rivalry as the two just can't seem to get away from each other.

Other viable options would be Curt Hennig (who would easily be a main event talent putting on B rated matches with just about anyone), Barry Windham (he just screams a WCW talent), and Jeff Jarrett (just so I don't have to see him lol).

Looking at your Main Event Scene, if you got rid of all these guys, you'd still have plenty of cushion in case some of them get injured, and it would be a heck of a lot easier for WCW to be actually competitive.

Corporate Horsemen - Austin and Steiner aren't gonna coexist at all.

Kevin Nash - I suspect he'll make it to the KotR PPV before Shawn screws him out of it so we get HBK vs. Nash at Summerslam.

Mr. Perfect - Ahmed vs. Taker is in full go, plus Perfect gives the KotR a damn fine workhorse.

Goldust - With Storm out, this is my new dark horse!

Cactus Jack - Why not?

Billy Gunn

I can't really come up with any names that would help WCW because the only real, true way to help them would be a second human player, be it someone else or yourself playing both companies. Anyone you let go of has just as much possibility to be wasted in WCW by the AI as what everyone else has been.

Comments: Any guys on the roster that you do not have plans for that you either have no plans for or want to get rid of. Marty Jannety could be a good superstar for WCW possibly.

I agree with Beej though, they'll probably be wasted by the AI.
