show with a brutal attack on WWF Champion Scott Steiner and Stone Cold Steve Austin....Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson.....along with the beautiful Sunny and the menacing figure that is Kane......</p><p> </p><p> .....Vince says that last week, Steve Austin and Scott Steiner completely embarrassed not only themselves, but the WWF Title, as well as the entire World Wrestling Federation....they disrupted the entire show, robbing those great fans of their entire evenings entertainment.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>”......and those fans.....much like all of these........individuals.....here tonight, probably had to scrimp and save for MONTHS, toiling away in their dead-end meaningless jobs....just to be able to afford those tickets......”</em></p><p> </p><p> .....Vince says that Austin and Steiner basically took money out of the pockets of those same fans that cheer them week in week out.....and not only that, their actions were DIRECTLY responsible for the Enforcer Arn Anderson’s elimination from the King of the Ring tournament......</p><p> </p><p> <em>”.....fortunately these four fine gentlemen were on hand to ensure that justice was served, and the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels will put an end to Scott Hall’s progress next week when the two face off in the second round match......”</em></p><p> </p><p> .....but since the Wolfpac took it upon themselves to stick their nose in business that doesn’t concern them LAST week, THIS week they also have to pay a price.....which is why tonight’s main event will see Michaels, Pillman, Anderson and Flair teaming up, to take on Scott Hall and Sean Waltman........and their partners.......Stone Cold Steve Austin and Scott Steiner......</p><p> </p><p> .....Vince indicates towards the titantron, which shows a split screen of two doors, each with about five security guards stationed outside.....Vince says that as you can see, both Scott Steiner and Steve Austin have been separated this evening, and neither man will be permitted to leave those locker rooms until match time, meaning that tonight’s show should go down without a hitch.....of course, should the two men decide to beat the holy hell out of each other DURING the match, is entirely down to them.....but for Scott Hall and Sean Waltman’s sake, McMahon hopes not.</p><p> </p><p> tournament features two men who couldn’t be more different....as the work horse Mr. Perfect faces the powerhouse Ahmed Johnson....last week the Undertaker vowed to take home both the King of the Ring crown AND the WWF Championship in his guaranteed title opportunity.....but he made it very clear that he would very much like the chance to face Ahmed Johnson on route to doing so......for that to have a chance of happening Ahmed would have to be successful here tonight against veteran Perfect....</p><p> </p><p> .....and when you’re trying to build someone up as a monster, is there a better star to put them in there with than selling machine Curt Hennig? Obviously not, because Perfect made Ahmed look amazing here, bumping around the ring like a pinball.....and it didn’t help Curt’s cause that he was constantly distracted by the fact that Rick Rude was throwing (verbal) jabs at the commentary table....because when Perfect DID have the offence, he spent too much precious time goading his former friend into fighting him than he spent focusing on Ahmed......and ultimately it was that which cost him the match, as Ahmed put him down with the Pearl River Plunge, booking his place in the Quarter Finals at the King of the Ring event in the process.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Ahmed Johnson</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" helpless announcers and more time focusing on his opponents if he wants to succeed here in the WWF, Jim Cornette joins his client in the ring.....and it should come as no surprise that the loudmouth manager has something to say......and as Ahmed paces round the ring, sweat flying and nostrils flaring, Cornette basically offers a retort to the Undertakers comments last week.....</p><p> </p><p> .....he says that the Deadman might THINK he has a shot at winning the 1997 King of the Ring.....and any other year he might be right.....he is the Big Bad Undertaker after all.....but this year is a little different, because THIS year, Ahmed Johnson is going all the way.....all the way to the King of the Ring Finals, all the way to Summerslam....all the way to the World Wrestling Federation Championship....in fact, if the Deadman had any sense, he’d gracefully bow out of this tournament now....because for as much as the Undertaker THINKS he wants another piece of Ahmed Johnson, Ahmed Johnson KNOWS that he wants another piece of the Deadman......and if that happens, then that’s exactly what the Undertaker will be......a dead man.....</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> that both he and Al have seen their King of the Ring aspirations come to a screeching halt.....and Edge and Christian had a hand.....or Head.....in both of those outcomes.....</p><p> </p><p> not Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, but Marlena-Goldust-Marcus, as Marty Jannetty faces off against the Bizarre One in our next second round match in the King of the Ring tournament.....it was a pretty good match....nothing spectacular, nothing terrible.....which to be fair, sums Marty Jannetty up perfectly as well.....Goldust on the other hand is destined for greater things than the former Rocker, and with his stylist AND director at at hand, he's going to be even harder to handle.....</p><p> </p><p> .....both Marlena and Marcus were at ringside, and directly involved in the finish of this the official, while Marcus jumps up behind Jannetty, spinning him around and knocking him out with that quick left handed jab.....which means all Goldust had to do was drag Jannetty back to his feet match.....it DOES have King of the Ring ramifications however, because while tonight it's Owen Hart vs. Billy Gunn, in two weeks time it will be the Hart Foundation vs. The New Age Outlaws, for the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Titles.....a few months back this would have been a standard defence for the Harts, with Billy Gunn a midcarder at best, while Jesse James was a jobber fresh out of rehab......what a difference a few months can make.....because Billy Gunn is one big win away from being a bonafide main eventer......while Jesse the Jobberis just about to crack into the upper midcard.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Bret and Owen will be looking to continue their winning ways, having already defended the WWF Tag Team Titles more times in three months than the last three Championship teams combined.....of course they've never faced the New Age Outlaws before.....a team that has no problem in disrespecting future legends, as Mr. Perfect and Barry Windham have recently found out.....as for this match here, it was good.....short, but good....with the match length being really the only thing to let it down......well.....that and the rather convoluted ending......</p><p> </p><p> .......because with both Bret and the Road Dogg cancelling each other out at ringside, it would appear that the Harts are willing to do whatever it takes to pick up the for this......because as Bret ensures that not only is the Road Dogg's attention on him, but the official too, Davey Boy comes walking (somewhat reluctantly) down the aisle, before hopping up onto the ring apron.....</p><p> </p><p> ....Owen seizes the opportunity to attempt to Irish Whip his opponent towards The Bulldog, looking for Davey to nail Bad Ass with a knockout blow.....unfortunately Gunn the floor, and Owen staggering back into the middle of the ring......where he's a sitting duck for Gunn's Famouser.......and three seconds later, the Outlaws hold a big, big victory over the Hart Foundation.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Billy Gunn</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" to.....it was Owen that got his own Irish Whip reversed......</p><p> </p><p> ....the Harts aren't listening though.....as far as they are concerned the British Bulldog just cost them a match against their King of the Ring opponents, and they storm to the back leaving a frustrated Davey Boy in the middle of the ring.....Jim Ross remarks that Bret and Owen's entire attitude seems to have changed as of late, with the constant complaint about being "screwed" seemingly giving them a blinkered view on the world.....he says tonight was nothing more than an accident on behalf of the Bulldog.....and an Flair and Arn Anderson assaulted a few weeks ago.....</p><p> </p><p> ....Dok asks Nash the obvious question, how the knee is holding up.....to which Nash gives the obvious (by the amount of support Jericho.....and that is NOT a good position to be in with a bad leg......Nash tells Dok not to sweat it though......</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......hey, it's like this......these long legs of mine might have seen better days, but for Chris Jericho to get me in that little submission hold of his, first he's gotta get me down on the mat.....that ain't happening......then he's gotta get hold of my feet without me kicking his teeth down his throat.....that ain't happening either.....and THEN he's gotta turn my big seven foot ass over....and since these legs of mine are longer than Chris Jericho's entire body, that DEFINITELY ain't happening......see Chris might think he's bigger and better than the Light Heavyweights......but he most certainly isn't ready for this Super Heavyweight right here....."</em></p><p> </p><p> .....Nash says that even if he has to hop the whole way there on one leg, he's going to the quarter finals of the King of the Ring.....he's going to win the whole damn does indeed have the Heartbreak Kid next week.....but he also has him here tonight, as he and Waltman team up with Scott Steiner and Steve Austin, to face Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson.....in what could essentially break down into a handicap match if Steiner and Austin can't work on the same page.....Hall says that at the end of the day, three on two, four on two, ten on two.....so long as those two are Scott Hall and Sean Waltman, the odds are always stacked in their favour Chico.....and since Flair and Anderson seem to have such a problem with the Wolfpac, well then the red and black attack are going to make them wish they'd left their old asses back in WCW with the Nacho Man and the Huckster brother, because this ain't Flair country......and if you've got Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> It's time for the penultimate match of the evening, and the final King of the Ring match of the evening, as Kevin Nash, bad leg and all, goes one on one with the self proclaimed Ayatollah of RocknRolla, Chris Jericho.......a Chris Jericho who has spent the last few weeks declaring that he was officially retiring from the Light Heavyweight division to concentrate on the heavyweight division.....and they don't get much more heavyweight than Kevin Nash....after all, the don't call him BIG Sexy for nothing.....</p><p> </p><p> .....the seven footer does have somewhat of a handicap this evening however, and it's a handicap that Jericho will have to capitalise on if he wants to be in with a chance of advancing in this tournament....because if Kevin Nash has one weak spot right now, it's that tightly wrapped knee....and it's exactly there that Jericho focuses the majority of his offence....</p><p> </p><p> .....this match was actually very good, especially when you factor in the length (around 12 minutes) and the storytelling aspects surrounding Nash's knee.....with Big Sexy's high popularity the perfect companion for Chris Jericho's high work rate.....not that Jericho isn't popular, in fact far from it.....you could go so far as to say that Chris Jericho is the third hottest heel in the company right now behind Shawn Michaels and Brian Pillman, and is probably one of the top five guys in the whole WWF......which is why it's a shame to see him stopping to the tactics that he does......which sees him moving out of the way of a Kevin Nash Big Boot attempt, as Nash knocks the referee flying with a huge foot.....and this is where the dubious tactics come into play.....because Jericho quickly collects a steel chair from ringside, using it to smash across the already injured knee of Kevin Nash, dropping the big man back to the mat.....</p><p> </p><p> ......Jericho smashes the steel against the injured limb of his opponent....before amazingly locking in the Walls of Jericho....the problem is the official is still down.....which means not only did he miss the blatant cheating, he also missed the submission attempt as well.........</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img gentleman.....the Iceman himself, Dean Malenko.....not that it would have mattered a great deal, because Malenko didn't actually interfere in the match, he was just down to take a closer look at the man who claims to be the best Light Heavyweight in the world......his mere presence was enough to throw Jericho off his game however, and Kevin Nash was able to convert a hurracanranna attempt into a modified Jacknife Powerbomb for the one, the two and the three.....but since Nash appeared to re-tweak his knee during the execution of the move, you have to question at what expense this victory came with. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Kevin Nash</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" slowly, because he has to limp the whole way....he is victorious here, but not with great cost as Jim Ross questions whether Kevin Nash will even be ready to perform at the King of the Ring event in just two weeks.....meanwhile, Chris Jericho is now throwing one of his world famous temper tantrums in the middle of the ring, as Dean Malenko picks up a microphone from the ring announcer, telling Jericho that he might think he's too good for the Light Heavyweight division, but it looks to him like he's not ready to step in there with the big boys either.....he says that Jericho thinks he's some trailblazer, but it took him three goes to win the Light Heavyweight Championship in the first place, and then he only held the title for one month before Sean Waltman defeated him for it....he says that Rey Mysterio won the belt on his first try....and then went on to be the longest reigning Champion in the divisions short history....meaning that actually, Rey Mysterio is really the King of the Light Heavyweigts, so maybe Malenko should focus his attention on Mysterio in order to make a name for himself around here......before turning and starting to head to the back......</p><p> </p><p> .....Jericho is not happy about that, and clearly even less happy about Malenko proclaiming that Rey Mysterio is the man he needs to beat around here, grabbing a microphone....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......hey......hey, Mighty Mouse.....get back here.......if you want to make a name for yourself in the Light Heavyweight division, it's ME you need to go through, not Junior.....I beat that around here then you have to go through ME......."</em></p><p> </p><p> .....Malenko dismisses Jericho's comments with a wave of his hand however, telling Jericho not to worry about it.....he's retired from light heavyweight competition, telling him to go and concentrate on the big boys.....maybe Nelson will give him a match....or Kokina.....don't worry about Dean Malenko, he's going to go to the back and find Rey Mysterio, see if he can't get a match with the masked man.......</p><p> </p><p> .....with that Malenko walks to the back, leaving Jericho pitching a fit in the ring, demanding that division is done with him.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A (wow, wasn't expecting that.....this was all Jericho, because Malenko seriously underperformed in the segment)</p><p> </p><p> a multi man tag match get this kind of response from a crowd.....but then this wasn't your usual multi man tag match.....because two of the team mates on one side were ready to tear each other's heads off.....Hall and Waltman at least had the good sense to try and keep Steiner and Austin somewhat separated, but it proved to be no easy feat. The two men hurl threats and insults at one another on the ring apron, with either Hall or Waltman ensuring that they kept themselves between the pair.....with Hall having to physically separate them on a number of occasions.....to win this match however, all four men were going to have to work as a team.....and that's going to be particularly difficult for Stone Cold Steve Austin and Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner......</p><p> </p><p> .....especially when the two men continuously attempted to one up each other after managing to isolate Brian Pillman.....each man took their turn battering their King of the Ring opponent, only for the other to forcibly tag themselves into the match, usually with a stiff slap to the back.....with each "tag" getting harder and harder, until finally the inevitable happens.....Austin out and out "tags" Scott Steiner in the jaw with a big right hand......and these two are off.....Waltman and Hall try to calm the situation down, but in the end they can only watch as their team mates disappear up the aisle way, brawling all the way to the back and out of sight.......</p><p> </p><p> .....of course while the fans pop at the sight of Austin and Steiner attempting to murder one another, that does leave the Wolfpac at a severe disadvantage....and at four on two, it's not long before Michaels and company manage to regain the upper hand, isolating Sean Waltman and giving the youngest member of the 'Pac a severe beating.....Waltman does manage to tag out to Hall at one point, but all that means is that Scott Hall is now the one on the receiving end of the four on one assault.....and eventually the odds are too much to overcome, as Shawn Michaels puts his former friend away with some Sweet Chin Music.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Shawn match their opponents were somewhat limited by the rules as to how far their assault could go.....now the match is over, Michaels, Pillman, Flair and Anderson are limited to nothing but their own imaginations.....</p><p> </p><p> ....it's somewhat fortunate that Brian Pillman seems content to grab hold of a microphone and cut a promo on the now absent Scott Steiner and Steve Austin, stating that while those two idiots are busy beating the life out of each other, Brian Pillman will be biding his time, because unlike Stone Cold and Big Poppa Pump......and unlike the unwashed masses in attendance tonight.....Brian Pillman has the intellect to know when to stand on the sidelines and watch......waiting for the perfect time to strike......and that time will be the King of the Ring, when the Corporate Cannon becomes YOUR new World Wrestling Federation Champion.....</p><p> </p><p> .....in the mean time Shawn Michaels has King of the Ring aspirations of his own, looking to capture not only the crown, but the WWF Title opportunity that comes with it at Summerslam.....next week the only thing standing between him and a place in the quarter finals is Scott Hall......and if Michaels, Flair and Anderson have anything to say on the matter, Scott Hall will be in no condition to perform come one week from now.....they put the boots to both Hall and Waltman, but to be fair, it's Hall that receives the most punishment.....</p><p> </p><p> ......Jim Ross informs us that Kevin Nash is currently undergoing assessment on his knee at a nearby medical facility, while Scott Steiner and Steve Austin are probably already brawling their way towards either a court date or next weeks venue, depending on how much trouble they cause along the way.....which means Hall and Waltman are truly alone here......and as Anderson lays out Waltman with a DDT, Shawn puts the finishing touches on tuning up the band, before taking Scott Hall's head off with his second Sweet Chin Music of the evening, before the four men raise their arms in celebration, as the show comes to a close.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> <p>First of all, a huge thank you to everyone for the response regarding the possible WCW transfers.....and while there were a lot of names there that I anticipated (your Jeff Jarretts and Psycho Sid's for example) there were certainly a few curve balls that I hadn't considered (such as Shawn Michaels) which could make things very interesting down south....that being said, keep your eyes peeled for some news regarding everyone's favourite number two company in the near future.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for WWF Raw is War, Week 3, June 1997</strong> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: 2nd Round Match</strong></p><p> Scott Hall vs. Shawn Michaels</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: 2nd Round Match</strong></p><p> The British Bulldog vs. Raven</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: 2nd Round Match</strong></p><p> The Undertaker vs. Nelson</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: 2nd Round Match</strong></p><p> Psycho Sid vs. Kama</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF European Championship Match</strong></p><p> The Rock © vs. Billy Kidman</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Light Heavyweight Championship Match</strong></p><p> Scorpio © vs. Rey Mysterio</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><p> The final Pay Per View of 1996, Starecade, saw the biggest betrayal in all of professional wrestling......as Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, reunited....along with a new partner, a brash young upstart by the name of Jean Paul Levesque.....except this wasn’t the Mega Powers 2.0.....and they weren’t saying their prayers or taking their vitamins.....what they were doing.....was turning their back on the fans in what (for Hulk Hogan) was the biggest heel turn in the history of the sport.....</p><p> </p><p> ......in what was supposed to be Sting’s crowning glory, headlining the biggest event of WCW’s calendar year and capturing the World Title in the process, Hulk Hogan successfully bid to be added to that main event at the last moment....and it was a great match......but when Randy Savage and Jean Paul Levesque made their way down the aisle, no one was prepared for what happened next.....</p><p> </p><p> .....because in a shocking turn of events, the two former enemies united, using the Macho Man to distract the official, while Levesque nailed Bam Bam Bigelow (then WCW Champion) and Vader (the fourth element in this fatal four way match) with a steel chair.....before kicking Sting in the gut and dropping him with the Pedigree....the fans roared, looking to the Hulkster to vanquish the arrogant youngster......except he didn’t.....what he did was drop the leg on longtime friend Sting.....make the cover......and embrace Levesque and Savage, holding his brand new WCW Championship overhead.....</p><p> </p><p> .......the crowd was shocked.....and appalled....as the Hulkster took a microphone and declared that Hulkamania was dead.....Hulk Hogan was dead......and Hollywood Hogan had just been born.....he said he was sick of working his ass off for a second rate company....sick of the second rate fans......and sick of the second rate way that WCW was run, claiming that things were so much better when he worked “up north”, and that a Hollywood megastar like himself should have been the highlight of every show.....if he had have been, then maybe those boys up north wouldn’t be creeping so far ahead in the ratings brother.....but you kept Hollywood off TV......so now, Hollywood is STAYING off TV.....if you want to see Hollywood Hogan and the World Title, then you can damn well pay to do it, because Pay Per View is the ONLY place Hollywood will be from now on.....</p><p> </p><p> .....and true to his word, Hogan’s appearances were few and far between, usually only to participate in a beatdown with his two new allies, or as the trio called themselves, the Titans of Wrestling (in an obvious play on words in regards to their previous employers Titan Sports) they also gained a few members along the way, as previous Titan employees the Nasty Boys joined up, capturing the WCW Tag Team Titles along the way.....and finally Big Bubba Rogers, who was revealed as the hired muscle of the group in a vicious assault of Ric Flair and Arn Anderson......both of whom have never been heard of since, leading to Bubba changing his name, and his persona.....to “The Enforcer” Ray Traylor (complete with black riot gear and trusty nightstick)....</p><p> </p><p> ......Sting took up the mantle for WCW, wanting to bring the Championship back home, and back to Nitro.....but the betrayal from Hogan (whom he considered a friend and ally) cut deep.....and he’s since developed a darker side.....a less trusting side.....seeing the world in only black or white, highlighted by his new appearance.....gone is the colourful blonde flat topped star, replaced with longer darker hair......and the bright face paint changed for a simple white design.....somewhat reminiscent of the shape his one time partner in the Blade Runners, The Warrior, wears......</p><p> </p><p> .....speaking of the Warrior.....he too has chosen to fight in behalf of World Championship Wrestling......along with Lex Luger and the Giant......and a slew of stars that usually shunned the affections of the fans have come over to the side of good (Bam Bam Bigelow, Vader, Diamond Dallas Page) looking to wrench the reigns of control from the hands of the Titans of Wrestling.....but it’s not going to be an easy task......but as we creep ever closer to the Bash at the Beach, a new hand of power is arriving......a new creative force we are told, looking to drag World Championship Wrestling kicking and screaming into the promised land, and back to the top of the professional wrestling world......who is that man? Well......you’ll have to tune in to Monday Nitro to find out........</p><p> </p><p> <strong>World Championship Wrestling presents.....</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> The Main Event......</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Hollywood Hogan</strong></p><p><strong> Randy Savage</strong></p><p><strong> Jean Paul Levesque</strong></p><p><strong> “The Enforcer” Ray Traylor</strong></p><p><strong> Kevin Sullivan</strong></p><p><strong> Eddie Guerrero</strong></p><p><strong> Abdullah the Butcher</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Sting</em></p><p><em> Lex Luger</em></p><p><em> The Giant</em></p><p><em> Vader</em></p><p><em> Bam BamBigelow</em></p><p><em> The Warrior</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Upper Midcard.....</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Meng</strong></p><p><strong> The Barbarian</strong></p><p><strong> Lord Steven Regal</strong></p><p><strong> Earl Robert Eaton</strong></p><p><strong> Samu</strong></p><p><strong> VK Wallstreet</strong></p><p><strong> Brian Knobbs</strong></p><p><strong> Jerry Saggs</strong></p><p><strong> Buff Bagwell</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Jim Duggan</em></p><p><em> Diamond Dallas Page</em></p><p><em> Chris Benoit</em></p><p><em> Dave Finlay</em></p><p><em> Brad Armstrong</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>The middle of the pack.....</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Mike Bloom</strong></p><p><strong> Wayne Enos</strong></p><p><strong> Kid Kash</strong></p><p><strong> Mike Awesome</strong></p><p><strong> Hakushi</strong></p><p><strong> Mando Guerrero</strong></p><p><strong> Jacques</strong></p><p><strong> Pierre</strong></p><p><strong> Alex Wright</strong></p><p><strong> Craig Pittman</strong></p><p><strong> Scott Norton</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Joey Maggs</em></p><p><em> Ricky Santana</em></p><p><em> Super Crazy</em></p><p><em> The Renegade</em></p><p><em> Pitbull #1</em></p><p><em> Pitbull #2</em></p><p><em> Fidel Sierra</em></p><p><em> Warlord</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>And the best of the rest.....</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Rocco Rock</strong></p><p><strong> Johnny Grunge</strong></p><p><strong> Gambler</strong></p><p><strong> Kaz Hayashi</strong></p><p><strong> Disco Inferno</strong></p><p><strong> The Duke, Douglas Williams</strong></p><p><strong> Chris Kanyon</strong></p><p><strong> Konnan</strong></p><p><strong> TAKA</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>Scotty Riggs</em></p><p><em> Bunkhouse Buck</em></p><p><em> Ernest Miller</em></p><p><em> Tajiri</em></p><p><em> Ice Train</em></p><p><em> Juventud Guerrera</em></p><p><em> Blitzkrieg</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Tag Teams........oh boy.....</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> The Faces of Fear</strong></p><p><strong> The Nasty Boys</strong></p><p><strong> The Wrecking Crew (Enos & Bloom)</strong></p><p><strong> The Public Enemy</strong></p><p><strong> The Blue Bloods</strong></p><p><strong> The Amazing French Canadians</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>The Pitbulls</em></p><p><em> The Soul Train (Ice Train & Ernest Miller)</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW World Champion</strong></p><p> Hollywood Hogan</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW United States Champion</strong></p><p> Diamond Dallas Page</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW Television Champion</strong></p><p> The Giant</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW Tag Team Champions</strong></p><p> The Nasty Boys</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's that time of the week again, and time for the number one programme, from the number one company, in ALL of professional wrestling.....it's time for Raw is War......and Raw most certainly was War last week as the show went of the air, with Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson running rough-shot over the red and black wearing Wolfpac contention of Scott Hall and Sean Waltman.....and it looks like the fierce foursome are pleased with their actions, because they're opening up the show tonight, and they look to be in a particularly good mood as they walk the aisle tonight.....</p><p> </p><p> .....they climb into the ring with huge smiles on their faces (a sight that looks particularly unsettling on the maniacal Brian Pillman) and soak in the disapproving sounds from the crowd, before Ric Flair picks up a microphone to open up the evenings proceedings......he tells the crowd that instead of jeering, they should be down on their hands and knees kneeling at the feet of greatness.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......because make NO mistake.....what you see gathered before you this evening is the true definition of greatness......there are not four men walking the face of this earth that can do what we can do in this ring.....and there aren't four men walking the face of this earth that can do what we do in the bar......we live a life, that you people could only dream of, and it's time that everyone realised that there's nothing they can do about it....."</em></p><p> </p><p> ......happy to have said his piece, Flair fades into the background where he begins flirting with Sunny as only Ric Flair can, while the Corporate Cannon takes the microphone, telling everyone that.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......there's a little thing in this world, and it's called the Divine Order....everything in its place, and everything placed in its order of importance....Gods, Angels, Humans, Animals, Plants and Objects.....and the wrestling world is no different......what's stood before you right now, is the very top of the tier.....Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson....the wrestling GOD'S......</em>(behind Brian, Ric takes Sunny by the hand and spins her around, giving the crowd a good look at the beautiful blonde)......<em>this beautiful young creature right here, a shining beacon.....a wrestling Angel......and then there's everybody in the back......mere wrestling men.........of course then there's you people, but you don't matter.....you're the animals, the plants and the crap, the bottom of the bottom........"</em></p><p> </p><p> .....obviously the crowd don't react too favourably to that, no one likes to be compared to a plant after all, not that Pillman cares what they think.....he continues by telling them to quieten down, they might be mere swamp life but they're not alone.....your Scott Steiner's....Steve Austin's.....Scott Halls, Sean Waltmans, Kevin Nash's.....they're all swamp life too, so they're in good company.....and while Scott Steiner and Steve Austin waste their time and energy pulverising one another, brawling like the animals that they are, Brian Pillman bides his time and waits.....because a God doesn't need to sully his hands until the time is right to do so......and the right time to do so, is in six days time at the King of the Ring.....Pillman says that the natural order has been unbalanced for too long around here, with the highest prize in the sport in the hands of an unworthy champion, it's time for greatness to ascend to the very top of the World Wrestling Federation once more......the crowd continue to voice their disapproval at this, and apparently that's ticking the Nature Boy off, because he takes back the microphone to let the crowd know that.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>".....it is what it is, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.....we are the very top of The Order, simply because we don't know now NOT to be......we don't know how NOT to be great, just like you people wouldn't know greatness if it jumped up and bit you in your fat asses.....don't like it? Don't blame us......that's just The Order of things......"</em></p><p> </p><p> .....Ric passes the microphone over the the Heartbreak Kid, who rounds things up by saying....basically that there's nothing more for him to say....as Pillman so eloquently put it, the King of the Ring will see not only a new WWF Champion in the Corporate Cannon, but a new King in the Heartbreak Kid.....because lets face it, who's gonna stop him?.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......the Undertaker? Wrestling from pure brawler to more of an all round entertainer, he can still throw fists when the need rises....he can also be thrown around the ring with sufficient force by his opponent as to ensure that Davey looks particularly dangerous.....so dangerous in fact, that you would have to wonder exactly concentrate on his match.....</p><p> </p><p> ......which he does, and true to their word Bret and Owen's presence DOES ensure that the Flock don't make a single appearance in this one.....they even have a hand in the finish of the match......well, Owen does......and not in the way you would think.....because with Davey firmly in control of the match, he goes to run the ropes.....just as Owen appears to use the ring apron as a resting point, "accidentally" clipping his brother in-laws ankle and sending the Bulldog stumbling forward......straight into the waiting arms and Evenflow DDT of leaves Davey Boy Smith all alone, with two Outlaws who are looking to make a point.....they look down at the Bulldog, then look at each other before shrugging their shoulders. for the evening is our final second round match of the King of the Ring tournament ahead of Sunday's event.....and its two former friends with a lot of bad blood to settle, as Scott Hall of the Wolfpac faces off against one time KLiQ running buddy.....the man, the myth.....the icon.....the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels....</p><p> </p><p> ....Shawn as always is accompanied by the beautiful Sunny, while Scott Hall has Sean Waltman in his corner.....and Shawn Michaels will be pleased to know (as Jim Ross informs us) that due to the current condition of his knee is not here tonight.....and not only is he not here tonight, it's a huge question mark as to whether he will even make it to the King of the Ring in just six days time.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Shawn and Scott obviously know each other quite well in this ring by now, they've battled many, many times over the years and their matches never fail to disappoint....and neither does this one....even hampered by Scott Halls ongoing injury and declining physical abilities they still manage to pull off the match of the night, with the Bag Guy relishing in the fact that he has his former friend one on one in the ring, while Michaels sells his ass off for his former running mate.....and the crowd are eating it up too, especially with the Bag Guy firmly in way down the aisle.....the two men come face to face, but both know that they can't lay a finger on each other......they trade insults for a minute, with each basically saying the same thing.....if they can't kick each other's ass, then they're going to kick someone's.....although this is clearly a case of each man wanting to one up the other, because Austin points at Scotty's lead pipe, telling him that <em>".....unlike you, I don't need no damn weapon to whoop ass around here....."</em></p><p> </p><p> .....Scotty takes that as a challenge, and tosses the pipe to one side.....before the two rivals turn and each run towards the ring where they separate and begin to unleash their anger towards each other on Michaels, Pillman, Flair and Anderson......and they've got a lot of anger.....which is probably why they hold their own so well, fighting off all four men.....who soon become three when Austin lays Anderson out with a Stone Cold Stunner......</p><p> </p><p> .....Hall and Waltman soon get back into the action, and the pair join in the fun as they begin to exchange blows with Michaels and Flair......leaving Pillman all alone in the middle of the ring.....Austin on one side.....Steiner on the other......and as Jim Ross points out, that is NOT a situation that you want to find yourself in......</p><p> </p><p> .....Pillman tries to dive through the ropes to escape, but Scotty catches him by the back of his tights, dragging him back into the ring (and exposing most of his ass in the process).....from there, it's a case of "can you top this", as Stone Cold and Big Poppa Pump proceed to beat the holy hell out of the Corporate Cannon, hurling insults at each other as they do so.....before Anderson finally regains his senses and manages to drag a battered Brian Pillman from the ring, just as Flair and Michaels escape the clutches of the Wolfpac, and all four men retreat up the aisleway, leaving the show to come to a close with Austin and Steiner face to face in the ring.....we'll see you Sunday folks</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Russo says that it's quite simple really.....because due to Hogan's limited schedule and <em>previous</em> influence in the back, neither he nor the Nasty Boys have defended those titles for 32 Gene asks DDP why he was so willing to hand over his United States Championship, just to wind up competing in the tournament for the vacant title anyway....Page smirks, saying he's never been the sharpest tool in the box, but when he books his place in the finals, and becomes a two time, two time United States Champion, then everyone's gonna know that DDP is the real deal.....and then it will only be a matter of time before Diamond Dallas Page gets a shot at that big gold belt.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW World Heavyweight Title Quarter-Final Match</strong></p><p> Rowdy Roddy Piper is wasting no time in getting his first match on Nitro under his belt, as he goes one on one with Kevin Sullivan here, looking for a spot in the quarter-finals....and considering BOTH men's advancing years, this was a pretty decent match....Piper didn't come to WCW to lose his debut match though, and he managed to put Sullivan to sleep, to get one step closer to that WCW Championship.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Rowdy Roddy Piper</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> With his first victory in the bag, Mean Gene (again) joins Piper in the ring, where Gene asks him what he's doing here, last Gene heard, Roddy Piper was working for "the other guys".....Piper says that he was.....but just when you think you have all the answers, Roddy Piper changes the questions....he says he's here in WCW for two things.....one, to become the WCW Champion....and two, finally shut Hollywood Hulk Hogan's mouth once and for all.....and with a bit of luck, he'll be able to do both of them things at the same time.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW World Heavyweight Title Quarter-Final Match</strong></p><p> It's main event time, and a sight that we haven't seen for quite some time here in WCW....and that's Hollywood Hogan Wrestling on Nitro....it's a huge match too, as he goes one on one with Lex Luger, in a match big enough to Main Event any Pay Per View......fortunately this WASN'T on Pay Per View.....because the match was <em>good</em> at best.....good enough for TV anyway....and the Titans of Wrestling showed why Hogan had held onto the WCW Title for so long before tonight, because Hogan was able to steal the victory here....with a little helping hand from "The Enforcer" Ray Traylor and his nightstick to advance to the Semi-Finals of this tournament.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Hollywood Hogan</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> The entire group of Titans closed the show out, with Savage, Levesque and the Nastys joining Hogan and Traylor in the ring.....Hogan whips Luger a few times with his weightlifting belt, before Levesque tosses him to the outside. Hogan says to make no mistake.....whether it's Hollywood......the Macho Man.....or the new blood Jean Paul, with three members in this tournament, it's only a matter of time before the WCW Title is back in the folds of the Titans of Wrestling......and no ones going to stop that......not Sting.....not the Giant.....not Roddy Piper.......certainly not Lex Luger clearly......he tells Russo and everyone in the back to get used to the fact that the Titans are here, because they're here to stay.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>What the actual f*ck? What the f*ck is Vince Russo doing on WCW television......what the f*ck is Vince Russo doing calling himself “the man who singlehandedly saved the WWF”.......but more importantly.....what the f*ck is Vince Russo doing, actually putting on a half decent show? I can’t think about this right now......I’ve got the King of the Ring to book.......motherf***er......</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>OOC:</strong> Ok, so obviously I’ve taken over WCW for the time being.....it was really a necessity because the dross that they were churning out was beginning to dull the enjoyment of the game.....and while I haven’t actually “won the war” they are zero competition anymore which also sucks the fun out of the game......so here we are......that also brings me to the King of the Ring.....which comes complete with a shiny new prediction contest, the winner of which shall get to choose five (or possibly more, I haven’t decided yet) names to move over to the competition......now obviously in moderation......I’m already losing the National Battle every month without losing my top five guys to WCW.....and I don’t really want to lose Austin, Pillman, Steiner, Jericho or the Rock......not just because they’re big stars, but because I built them up from nothing.....they’re mine you hear <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />.....but as for the rest of the roster, purge away.</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for WWF King of the Ring, Week 3, June 1997</strong> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Championship: Triple Threat Match</strong></p><p> Scott Steiner © vs. Steve Austin vs. Brian Pillman</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Tag Team Championship Match</strong></p><p> The Hart Foundation © vs. The New Age Outlaws</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Head on a Pole Match</strong></p><p> Al Snow & Chris Candido vs. Edge & Christian</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: Quarter-Final Match</strong></p><p> Kevin Nash vs. Ahmed Johnson</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: Quarter-Final Match</strong></p><p> Cactus Jack vs. Goldust</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: Quarter-Final Match</strong></p><p> Psycho Sid vs. Raven</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: Quarter-Final Match</strong></p><p> The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: Semi-Final Match</strong></p><p> Nash/Ahmed vs. Cactus/Goldust</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: Semi-Final Match</strong></p><p> Taker/HBK vs. Sid/Raven</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>King of the Ring: Final Match</strong></p><p> Nash/Ahmed/Cactus/Goldust vs. Taker/HBK/Sid/Raven</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> One of these matches tonight ends in a no contest.....which one?</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Tiebreaker Question: How long does the World Title Match go?</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="2bPYQw8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2bPYQw8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>
