<p>Hey to4sty, I really enjoyed WarGames. The Copeland/Cage/Traylor trio is really doing it for me in particular! I think WCW has edged out WWF for the show I'm more into at the moment...the addition of the Rock will certainly do even more to propel the Turner brand.</p><p> </p><p>

As for the WWF, I hope Bret Hard comes through on Raw and takes the title off of Ahmed Johnson! (But I really don't expect it). I don't know why, but Ahmed is not doing it for me....maybe it's because I can't stop thinking about him and his gross wedgies in real life. That, and I am such a mark for your Scott Steiner that I hate the guy who took the title off of him... Too bad for Steiner too because he is existing in the Stone Cold era. I was really hoping he'd be your Figurehead for the next several years. Oddly enough, I think Steiner could be huge as a babyface against the Titans in WCW (despite how crowded it's become).</p><p> </p><p>

Coincidentally, have you crowned Figureheads on either brand? If so, who and how long have they been established?</p>

Ahmed Johnson - The belt isn't swapping right away like this.

Austin and Shamrock

Kane

Pillman/Goldust/NAO

D'Lo

Scott Hall - Bret finds himself screwed once again.

DDP

Eddie Guerrero - In the vein of realism, I'm really surprised that Eddie continues holding the belt. But as a fan of his, I'm loving this reign.

Mortis

Goldberg

Lance Storm

Buff Bagwell

Awesome and Cain

Except he's never once figured in the "Franchise Players" list, which I'm assuming is because his Star Quality isn't up to scratch, I believe he's around a B+.....not that it stopped me putting the title on him, and it probably won't stop me putting it on him again.....</p><p> </p><p> .....and for the record, the top ten wrestlers in the world in terms of raw popularity are Hollywood Hogan, Scott Steiner, Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, The Warrior, Randy Savage, Ahmed Johnson and Sting.....with The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Brian Pillman coming in at 11, 12 & 13....</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Crossface" data-cite="Crossface" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Coincidentally, have you crowned Figureheads on either brand? nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/sYfLy6J.jpg"></a></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner Challenges For The WWF Title Later Tonight</strong></p><p> </p><p> No time for fancy introductions, interviews or promo's here....we're opening hot tonight, because as the opening credits finish playing we are instantly greeted by that screeching guitar that signals the arrival of the Hitman, Bret Hart....who (unsurprisingly given the stakes involved in this one) is accompanied by brother Owen, Chris Jericho, and the bodyguard, Test.....</p><p> </p><p> .....not to be outdone, Scott Hall doesn't come into this one alone either, he's got Wolfpack members Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman along with him, and when you consider the fact that Waltman will be challenging Owen Hart in just six days time for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, things could get messy with all these bodies at ringside.....</p><p> </p><p> .....the WWF has an incredibly stacked roster of wrestlers, all competing for the top spot around here, from the two men involved here, to Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Brian Pillman, Dude Love, Ric Flair, Raven, not to mention every bodies favourite wildcard Stone Cold Steve Austin, there are a LOT of potential challengers for Ahmed Johnson, so opportunities to become the number one contender are going to be few and far between for some of these guys, which is why it's so important to capitalise on an opportunity like this.....Scott Hall knows that, and Bret Hart knows it too, which is why they quite literally put it all on the line tonight, putting on an excellent match in the process.....Scott Hall is still hampered by injury, and truth be told has been more of a tag team wrestler in the past 18 months, first with Nash, then Waltman, but if anyone is going to get a great match out of him, it's going to be Mr. Reliable himself, Bret Hart.....someone that I don't think even knows HOW to have a bad match.....</p><p> </p><p> ......obviously this isn't the first time these two men have met, they've tussled on a number of occasions dating back as far as Hall's 'Razor Ramon' days in early 1993, so they know each other pretty well....Hall does dominate the opening portion of the match, and he might be a babyface right now, but he certainly hasn't lost any of that cocky swagger, paintbrushing the back of the Hitman's head with condescending slaps....</p><p> </p><p> .....Bret regains the advantage with a little assist from Jericho, drawing the attention of the Bad Guy long enough that Hart is able to chop-block the right knee of his opponent and go to work....things get a little bit heated on the floor as Waltman and Owen get into a shoving match....just about the same time that the Hitman clotheslines Hall right over the top rope, before following up with a Plancha to the outside.....unfortunately for Bret, the official's attention is with Waltman and Owen, so he doesn't see Nash shove Hall out of the way.....he doesn't see Bret crash down on the hard floor.....he certainly doesn't see Nash launch Bret into the steel ring post, or roll him back inside the ring.....he DOES however see Hall drop Bret with the Razors Edge a few seconds later.....and he DOES see the pinfall attempt, counting the one, the two, and the three.....and Scott Hall will be competing for the WWF Title in the main event of this very show.</p><p> </p><p> where?"</em>, as Hall gives the camera a gratuitous crotch chop, telling Ahmed <em>"down there"</em>, as the trio exit to the back laughing.....</p><p> </p><p> .....rather predictably Bret Hart is not happy....and he grabs a microphone to declare that <em>"this is bullish!t"</em>....he tells the Wolfpac that if they think that ANY of them are going to be wearing gold any time soon, then they're very much mistaken.....he says that as per usual, the KLiQ scumbags have screwed the honourable Canadian out of a shot at the World Wrestling Federation Championship.....he says that he really should being pushed as a lower midcarder, it was excellent) Malenko certainly carried the workload for the match but Brown did his part too....and so to be fair did the extra man on the outside, because this WAS a member of the Nation of Domination in action, and they rarely travel alone....and as such, D'Lo was accompanied by the second new Nation Brother, the Worlds Strongest Man, Mark glorified bodyguard for Vince McMahon.....after all, this is a man that has defeated the Undertaker (at Wrestlemania no less) and Dude Love's alter ego, Mankind....this is a bonafide monster right here, desperate to be let off the leash....</p><p> </p><p> .....this match was about as good as you could hope for considering the participants (and time restraints).....and consisted of two, big, powerful men, punching and kicking each other for about ten minutes....although to be fair, that's all I wanted from them, I wasn't looking for a five star classic here.....because the match was only Shamrock has released the Ankle Lock off Justin Credible yet.....because after giving his word that he would be on the side of Steve Austin tonight, it's time for him to make his way down to the ring, where he will be competing against the Million Dollar Corporation pairing of Jeff Jarrett and Rich Steiner.....</p><p> </p><p> ....to be fair, if anyone should know the Million Dollar Corporation, you'd think it would be Steve Austin....after all, he USED to be a member....but that was a long time ago, and a very different Corporation....in fact, not a single member of the original incarnation remains (apart from Ted DiBiase obviously) and while you could argue that Jarrett and Steiner are upgrades from Tatanka and the 123 Kid, save for one very brief Rich Steiner Intercontinental Title run, this incarnation hasn't had much more luck with gold than the previous one....of course, should they manage to serve Steve Austin's head up to Vince McMahon tonight, that could all change in a when they do finally take control of the match....</p><p> </p><p> .....Austin might be nicknamed "the toughest s.o.b in the WWF" but Shamrock is a tough son of a bitch in his own right....which is why nothing Jarrett and Steiner can do will keep the man down for long.....and when Jarrett decides to go for the Figure Four leg lock, Shammy is able to kick him off with force, causing him to collide with Rich Steiner on the apron, sending Rich crashing to the floor, Jarrett crashing to the mat....and Shamrock clawing his way over to his corner to tag in a well rested Stone Cold Steve Jim Ross points out that Nash has a vested interest in this one, with the winner being his opponent in just six days, but Rude ain't buying it, stating that <em>"if he's got a vested interest in the match then there are plenty of monitors in the back Jim Ross.....Kevin Nash is out here to INFLUENCE the outcome of this match, just like he influenced the outcome of the earlier match....he knows he can't beat Ahmed Johnson, so he's going to try and take the title from him another way"</em>.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Jim Ross disagrees with that statement, but it also just happens to be about the now.....but he's clearly planning his revenge somewhere.....</p><p> </p><p> .....revenge that comes after Scott Hall dodges an Ahmed Johnson shoulder block attempt that sees the official wiped able to hold his own in a fight, reversing and Irish Whip to send Nash crashing into the crowd rail.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Ahmed comes walking past with the WWF title draped over his shoulder just as Nash collides with the steel, and Hart tells him that he can thank him for saving his title by giving him the next Championship opportunity after Ground Zero.....that stops Ahmed dead in his tracks, as he turns around to tell the Hitman that he didn't save squat......<em>"Ahmed Johnson had that match in the bag, and Kevin Nash is going to be nothing more than another name on my list of victims......and if your punk ass don't watch your mouth, YOU'LL be going down too"</em>.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Bret holds his hands up in surrender, leaving Ahmed to 'tut' before calling him a <em>"li'l b!tch"</em> and turning to head to the back......which is when the Hitman clips his knee out from under him with a chop block....</p><p> </p><p> .....Big Sexy is back to his feet, but Bret plucks up Ahmed Johnson's dropped WWF Championship, which he drives into the skull of Nash.....before repeating the action to the back of Ahmed Johnson......</p><p> </p><p> .....Jericho stands over Scott Hall.....Test and Owen stand over the downed Sean Waltman.....and as the show comes to a close, Bret Hart is standing tall over both Champion and Challenger in Sunday nights WWF Title match.....Hart holds the World Wrestling Federation up to a nearby camera, stating that it doesn't matter who wins at Ground Zero......because the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be....Bret "The Hitman" Hart....WILL BE your next WWF Champion.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> Warrior, who hasn't smiled once since adopting this new "darker" persona)....Hollywood is leading the way, cockily playing air guitar on the WCW Championship belt.....while the rest of the Titans bring up the rear, with both Jean Paul Levesque and Randy Savage sporting head dressings that hide their battle scars after both men were busted open last night....</p><p> </p><p> .....Vince Russo off......"</em></p><p> </p><p> ....the crowd aren't happy about that....and they're even less happy when Hollywood takes the microphone....he says that tonight, he's a very happy perfection.....</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> .....and then there's Buff Bagwell.....the man with the SECOND largest arms in the world brother....who showed exactly why we picked him to wear the say on the matter......because Eric Bischoff comes walking out onto the entrance ramp (which is has far as he goes, because a ring full of Titan's and a WCW representative just don't mix).....he says that while the Titans may have won the match (in the most dubious manner possible) that hardly means that that Hollywood will not be defending the Championship......because he WILL be defending the WCW Title.....and he'll be defending it at Halloween Havoc.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"....I said if a member of Team WCW won the match then they would become the number one contender, but this isn't a ready to compete tonight......</p><p> </p><p> .....Hogan is surprisingly fine with that pick, telling Bischoff to make Chris Benoit the other contender while he's at it, before mocking the two men spirit....passion.....a never say die attitude......</p><p> </p><p> <em>"....and that man.................is Jean Paul Levesque......"</em></p><p> </p><p> .....that throws the Titans into a stunned silence, as Bischoff says that both Page and Levesque left it all in the ring last night (including a good amount of their own blood) they were both involved in the start f the match and were both still there fighting at the finish.....which is tonight, they will fight once more.....and the winner will face Hollywood Hogan at Halloween Havoc.....for the WCW Championship......</p><p> </p><p> .....eventually Hogan says that Bischoff must have lost his damn mind......he says that's fine, because when the General, Jean Paul Levesque crushes Diamond Dallas Dud tonight, Hollywood may as well as have Halloween Havoc off......because Levesque will do what's right for the Titans when the time comes......lay down In the middle of that ring.....and give Hollywood the easiest three count of his life.......</p><p> </p><p> .....Bischoff just smiles at that, saying <em>"we'll see"</em>, before turning and heading to the back, leaving all the Titan's looking pretty confident.......although to be Just choose option 3.......</p><p> </p><p> .....now he's paid the bills he calls out his next guests, the two men that between them may well have cost WCW the match last night.....Lex Luger and The Giant....</p><p> </p><p> .....the pair make their way out, and while these two ARE friends, the tension between them is obvious.....Gene says that last night, Lex Luger was moments away from forcing Buff Bagwell to submit to the Torture Rack, until the Giant deliberately broke up the hold........and then, when the Giant had Hollywood Hogan trapped inside the bearhug, it was Lex Luger that broke up that potentially winning situation......Gene says that had they simply worked together, Team WCW could have come out with the win, instead they were so focused on themselves becoming the number one contender to the WCW Title, that now NEITHER of them is the number one contender.....in fact, they're not even in contention to BECOME the number one contender.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Luger at least seems remorseful for his actions last night....apologising to the fans and Eric Bischoff for letting them (and WCW) down, before saying that while he's rooting for Diamond Dallas Page tonight, he's attempt.....he says not only did Luger cost WCW the match, he cost the Giant the chance to become the number one contender.....so maybe he should apologise to HIM.....</p><p> </p><p> ......Lex tells the Giant that the ONLY reason that he lost his temper and broke up the Giants submission attempt, was because the Giant deliberately broke up his Torture Rack moments before.....and never mind an apology, the fact that he and the Giant are friends is the ONLY reason that Lex Luger isn't kicking his ass right now......Lex says that he put all his own plans of Championship opportunities to one side when The Giant was having problems with Mike Awesome, Gideon Cain, Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader, and he did that to help out his friend....and if this is the thanks he gets, maybe it's the Giant who should be apologising to HIM.....</p><p> </p><p> .....obviously the Giant doesn't take too kindly to that, telling Luger that if he thinks he can kick the Giant's ass to go ahead and try.....because Storm.....Finlay was involved in a knockdown drag out fight with Steven Regal last night.....a fight that he arguably only lost because of the distraction of the Blue Bloods and a pair of brass knuckles around Regal's fist......Storm on the other hand was victorious last night over ring veteran Rick Martel, and in fairness to him, he won that match clean as a whistle.....</p><p> </p><p> .....considering that he's only around four months away from his 40th birthday, Lance Storm is quick to point out that much like Jim Duggan and Rick Martel, Fit Finlay should be stepping to one side to make room for the next generation....but it's ok, because just like with Jim Duggan and Rick Martel, if he doesn't want to STEP to one side, Lance Storm will MOVE him to one side.....</p><p> </p><p> .....this match only went around 8 minutes, but it was still pretty good....Lance Storm is still relatively new to the mainstream spotlight, but he's certainly being showcased Fatu.....</p><p> </p><p> .....Rikishi slumps to the mat, where Sullivan delivers the Double Foot Stomp as Bigelow climbs to the top, where he comes flying off with that Diving Headbutt.....you'd think that would be enough, but no.....because the three men drag Rikishi back to his feet before Bam Bam and Sullivan give Vader a helping hand to slam their victim into the mat with a massive Powerbomb....</p><p> </p><p> .....you'd pretty much need to scrape Rikishi up off the mat following that, but thankfully the trio appears to be finished.....with the action anyway, because Sullivan picks up a microphone.....</p><p> </p><p> .....he tells the crowd that what you see before you now is the greatest group of destructors assembled in the history of, well....ever.....he says that for Hulkamania.....and he killed it himself by forming the Titans of Wrestling......but he knows why he failed now....he knows where he went wrong....he aligned himself with the misfits and the common goal......while the Nordic word "Valr" is the very essence of what their current objective is......</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......because the word Valr loosely translates as the "Slain months.....</p><p> </p><p> ......he says that Bam Bam Bigelow exceeded all possible expectations when he captured the WCW Championship last year....the pinnacle of his career.....his crowning moment.....until he too was reduced to the number two position......second to last on the card.....the WCW Champion and Championship in the SEMI main event.....the WCW Champion and Championship STILL performance last night, where not only did he fight his heart out for World Championship Wrestling, but he did so in an unselfish and professional manner...unlike some of his team mates.....and while I'm sure Chris Benoit would rather be competing for the WCW Championship right now, he's still going to fight his heart out for the prestigious United States Championship.....a Championship that he has never held......</p><p> </p><p> ......of course that's going to be easier said than done....because (much like Buff Bagwell earlier in the evening) not only is Benoit still pretty banged up from last night, but his opponent is a man who doesn't seem to be in any hurry to relinquish the Championship any time soon, having already turned away challenges from competitors such as Jeff Hardy and Rikishi Fatu in recent weeks, and that man's name is Eddie Guerrero.....</p><p> </p><p> .....these two guys had a hell of a match, but it was hampered by the limitations to Chris Benoit, who after going through an eight on one beating inside a steel cage, a Steel Cage WCW Title match, AND a War Games match in the space of less than two weeks, was selling the fatigue of that like a superstar....and truth be told, really had Guerrero on the back foot here, even dropping the Champion with a stiff looking high back suplex, before heading up top and coming off with that patented Diving Headbutt.....Eddie Guerrero however isn't averse to stretching the rules, and as Benoit soars through the air, he drags hold of the official and pulls him down on top of himself, meaning it's the referee that eats the brunt of the punishment.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> mount the corner behind him, before coming flying off with a Double Ax Handle to the back of Benoit's neck, who goes down like a shot....</p><p> </p><p> .....the commentators question Savages motives here, stating that while the Titans of Wrestling often do however they see fit, there's usually an underlying reason for it, and considering the fact that the Titans WON last night, this assault seems a little unnecessary......although Savage soon sheds some light on the matter, telling a nearby camera that Chris Benoit made the Macho Man bleed.....he drew blood on a member of the Holy Trinity....and he signed his death warrant in the process.....</p><p> </p><p> ......Macho heads back up top, points both arms straight up high in the air........before dropping that patented Flying Elbow right to the heart of Benoit.....</p><p> </p><p> ......Eddie is obviously happy to seize on this opportunity, as he too heads up top, before driving his full weight down with the Frog Splash, and making the cover.....just as the official begins to come back around.....and while it does take some time (he WAS just knocked stupid with a diving heat butt after all) it's good enough for the one, the two......and the three.....Eddie Guerrero survives again.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> .....and <strong>Still</strong> WCW United States Champion.....Eddie Guerrero</p><p> happening right now, as Diamond Dallas Page and Jean Paul Levesque go one on one to determine the Challenger for Hollywood Hogan's WCW Championship at Halloween Havoc.....and if you thought Buff Bagwell and Chris Benoit were still suffering from their War Games encounter just 24 hours ago, neither of them have got anything on Page and Levesque, both of whom started (and ended) the War Games match, and pretty much bled for a solid 30 minutes......</p><p> </p><p> .....after throwing the towel in to save her husband last night, Kimberly is once again accompanying Page to ringside, while Levesque has of all people, Hollywood Hogan in his corner.....a fact that Tony Schiavone is not happy about, stating that Hogan is here to ensure that his Titan Team mate wins that number one contenders match, giving him the easiest title defence of his life when Jean Paul Levesque simply lays down for him at Halloween Havoc.....</p><p> </p><p> .....it certainly appears as though that is the plan too, because Hogan certainly gets involved on numerous occasions, most notably after Page catches Levesque with the Diamond Cutter, and Hogan drapes Jean Paul's leg over the bottom rope before the ref can count three.....</p><p> </p><p> .....even with all the blatant interference from Hogan (and the fact that Page is still stuck in the upper midcard) this is still a pretty good match....the two have met before, and Page DOES hold a victory over Levesque, a fact that Schiavone gleefully points out while gushing about the heart and spirit of Diamond Dallas Page.....in the end however, Page is virtually fighting two men.....and despite another valiant effort, much like last night it's Levesque that comes out on top, dropping Page in the middle of the ring with the Pedigree for the one, the two and the three.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Jean Paul Levesque</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <p>It's too bad that Hall has that injury. He could almost definitely be running the IC or Tag divisions right now if it wasn't for his matches getting constantly dinged. But he made a great showing against Bret and Ahmed on Raw, so good on him. On Nitro, I like the idea of Sullivan, Vader, and Bigelow, but one thing I thought during their segment was that their name is so horribly bad that it could only have come from Sullivan himself. I swear that their (admittedly very interesting) angle just came to a screeching halt as soon as fans have to try pronouncing their stable name. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Anyways, Ground Zero.</p><p>

Ahmed Johnson - <em>Ahmed is going to get a semi-decent run, the only people I can think of who will be able to stop him are either Austin, Taker, or Kane.</em></p><p>

Owen Hart - <em>Owen is just a better champion.</em></p><p>

NAO - <em>The train isn't stopping here; or if it does, it'll only be for a short time.</em></p><p>

Dude Love - <em>It just feels right for him to pick up the win on PPV, so he can Brian can have had their blowoff and move on. Foley vs. Ahmed for next PPV in some type of hardcore street fight match would be killer. Book it, bookerman.</em></p><p>

Steve Austin - <em>You've done good in revitalizing the Nation, but the star power is straight up gone for now. They get fed to Austin and then see where they fall.</em></p><p>

Scott Steiner - <em>This is a fun little mini-feud for Steiner after losing the title, but he isn't going to be in the middle of the cards for long.</em></p><p>

Scott Hall - <em>The Wolfpac and Harts split their matches here as we head toward Survivor Series.</em></p><p>

Ken Shamrock - <em>I wouldn't mind seeing him turn heel and go with Mr. McMahon. Robo-Shamrock from the Corporation in 98/99 was really awesome.</em></p><p>

NOD - <em>If they drop this AND Faarooq loses, then we may as well just write off the Nation.</em></p>

WWF Championship Match

Ahmed Johnson © vs. Kevin Nash

Comments: Johnson retains via Hart Foundation interference, let's call it a no contest

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match

Owen Hart © vs. Sean Waltman

Comments: Wolfpac/Harts cancel one another out

WWF Tag Team Championship Match

The New Age Outlaws © vs. Al Snow & Chris Candido

Comments: I'm aware that Sunny used to manage the Smoking Gunns; Maybe the Outlaws can get her on side and give her something to rebuild her image... admittedly her image as a selfish, claim jumping, disloyal, fly-by-night temptress, always on the look out for the next big payday...

Dude Love vs. Brian Pillman

Comments: Either Pillman wins, and Dude snaps, or Dude snaps and Pillman wins by rage DQ

Steve Austin vs. Faarooq

Comments: I wonder if Austin does as few jobs in-game as in real life? But to put the Nation over, a win for Faarooq is essential.

Scott Steiner vs. Goldust

Comments: I'm tempted to go for Goldust simply because Steiner seems to have had the better of every exchange bar Goldy costing him the belt, but maybe I'm overthinking it.

Scott Hall vs. Chris Jericho

Comments: Monday was a last hurrah for the Bad Guy; Jericho is the future.

Ken Shamrock vs. Jeff Jarrett

Comments: No shame in Jarrett being a midcard gatekeeper, but given that his role seems pretty set in stone, he's not winning this one.

Bradshaw, Rey Mysterio & Dean Malenko vs. The Nation of Domination (Scorpio, D’Lo Brown & Mark Henry)

Comments: Henry sits on Rey and Dean, leaving the mobile Nation guys to beat on Bradshaw.
