src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ....and that first match, sees the Coolest Cat in Town, facing off against the Kookiest Kat in Town.....as Dude Love goes up against The Corporate Cannon, Brian Pillman..... .....poor Dude.....all he wanted was to make his kids happy.....all he wanted to do was send away “the bad man” for the sake of his relationship with his son and baby girl.....but apparently that didn’t sit well with Brian Pillman.....who claims that without Cactus Jack to hide behind, Mick Foley is nothing more than a joke.....an embarrassment.....and frankly, a man that could NEVER beat a Loose Cannon like Brian Pillman...... ......that remains to be seen.....but Pillman has certainly got the upper hand in this one, after assaulting the Dude (both physically and verbally) on numerous occasions over the last few weeks, and even holds a victory over the Dude (albeit in six man Tag action, and AFTER Shawn Michaels interfered on behalf of Pillman) all facts that the Corporate Cannon has thrown in the face of the Dude to emphasise the fact that having a tie-dyed freak like him as a father, is more of an embarrassment to his family than the monstrous Cactus Jack ever was..... ......of course these jibes about his children only served to fire the Dude up.......and Brian Pullman’s cockiness is soon knocked off his face.....literally.....as his opponent attacks from the moment the bell is rung.......the Dude may have been looking to start a Summer of Love, but he has anything but love to give here as he unloads with a series of right hands that back Pillman all the way into the corner and down to a seated position on the mat.....the official backs the Dude off, but he doesn’t back off for long.....as he comes charging back in, driving a knee into the jaw of the sitting Cannon..... ......Pillman takes a powder and bails to the outside, but he’s not escaping Love that easily, as a blur of tie-dye follows him to the floor and sends him flying into the ring post......Dude looks to Irish Whip Pillman into the steps, but the Loose Cannon reverses it, and it’s Love that collides knee first into the steel as only Mick Foley can..... ......considering this was a largely brawl based match, the match itself was very good (helped by the fact that these two had some pretty good chemistry in there together) and the fans were solidly behind The Dude as Pillman went on the attack....Pillman is a lot of things.....a madman, deranged, unstable and unpredictable.....but more importantly, he’s very smart......which is why he changes the focus of his attack and zones in on the (now) bad wheels of the Dude, capitalising on the fact that he’s just crashed knees first into solid steel..... ......Pillman works the knees with stomps and kicks, but the Foley has never been one to let a little bit of pain get him down....and while the Dude may be the most mild mannered of all of Mick Foley’s (numerous) personalities, his pain threshold is still considerably higher than most.....and despite Pillman’s best efforts, he simply can’t keep the Dude down..... ......Rick Rude takes that opportunity to mention what an idiot Love is....telling us that all he is doing is giving Brain Pillman more excuse to beat the crap out of him......Jim Ross disagrees, saying that while Dude Love is one of the more unorthodox competitors here in the WWF, you can’t question his heart......and despite The Corporate Cannon’s claims to the contrary, he imagines that Mick Foleys family watching at home would be incredibly proud by this display..... ......The Dude obviously hopes so.....because his never say die attitude finally cuts him a break as Pillman goes to apply the Time Bomb.....his version of Rick Rudes “Rude Awakening” Hangman’s neckbreaker......Pillman spends too long showboating however (including pointing down to Rude on commentary and rotating those hips......which the Ravishing One gets great delight from) and he’s far too close to the ropes......so as he drops to the mat, the Dude hooks onto the top rope and Pillman crashes tailbone first into the mat..... .....from there the Dude goes back on the offence, (including an old school atomic drop to the tender tailbone of Pillman who sells it like a champ), before catching the Corporate Cannon and dropping him with that Double Underhook DDT.....much like earlier however HE is now too close to the ropes, as Pillman was able to drape a foot on the bottom rope to break up the pinfall at the last possible second...... ......the crowd is red hot now as these two men go fist for fist towards the final hurdle, tumbling through the ropes and to the outside where they continue their brawl on the floor.....Pillman is clearly frustrated at the fact that he can’t put the Dude down for good, and whips him into the steel barricade before picking up a steel chair......unlike the Bret Hart/Steve Austin Match scheduled for later this evening however, this is NOT an anything goes match, and the official hops to the outside to snatch the chair away from the maniacal Pillman..... ......Pillman isn’t happy about that and begins arguing with the referee, before finally shoving him in the chest......only for the official to shove him back, reading him the riot act as he does.....Pillman holds his hands up in mock surrender, cackling in the referees face......The Dude sees this as an opportunity to attack, and charges Pillman from behind......the Corporate Cannon obviously saw him coming however, sidestepping at the last minute leaving Love to crash into the official, sending Dude, the Referee AND the steel chair flying.....and with nobody there to uphold the law, Pillman quickly snatched up the chair, crashing in over the back of Dude Love’s head..... ......Pillman rolls his opponent back into the ring and follows him in (steel chair in hand) and stands there poised, waiting for Love to get back to his feet......only to crack his skull a second time with a second chair shot...... ......the official slowly regains consciousness and pulls himself back into the ring, just in time to see Pillman drop The Dude with the Time Bomb neckbreaker.......which after those two brutal chair shots, was more than enough to grant him the one, the two and the three. Winner: Brian Pillman Rating: A </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="iXAv5bk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iXAv5bk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PVk3FwK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PVk3FwK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Pillman gets his hand raised, but he’s not here to win.....he’s here to humiliate.....as he grabs a microphone from the outside, returning to the ring and hitting the half unconscious Love with a series of degrading open handed slaps, telling him that he’s a joke.....a nothing.......an insignificant worm......and if his “precious little girl” didn’t want the bad man reading her bedtime stories, she certainly won’t want a loser like the Dude reading then......before telling Love to do the poor girl a favour and put her up for adoption....... ”......or even better, just leave......and don’t go back.......because even no father at all is better than this sorry sack of garbage right here..............you’re a sorry excuse for a man.....and an even sorrier excuse for a father......” ......Pillman starts laughing at that......but he’s not laughing long.....because his words clearly lit a fire under the Dude......who reaches up and shoves his fingers right into Pullman’s laughing mouth, locking on that debilitating Mandible Claw...... ......Pillman is kicking and thrashing in an effort to escape, but The Dude has it locked on good.....fortunately for Pillman, all that thrashing about places his hand right next to the steel chair.....and he desperately grabs hold of it, swinging it again into the face of the Dude, who finally loosens his grip long enough for Pillman to escape and bolt from the ring, quickly heading to the back as a far from “cool” looking Dude Love drags himself to his feet......in fact, the Dude looks damn right p!ssed off as Pillman escapes......so much so that Jim Ross doubts we’ve seen the last of this rivalry. just how petty Chris Jericho could be, then take a look at this match stipulation right here......Chris Jericho is a man who’s ego is so inflated, he would put his very own career on the line, just to win something that he didn’t really want anyway, in order to take that something away from someone else......petty right?.....and that something in this case just happens to be the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship......a Championship (and division) may I add, that Jericho himself claimed he wanted no part of......at least until Dean Malenko proclaimed Rey Mysterio as the Light Heavyweight to beat.....and well.....here we are..... ......speaking of Dean Malenko, he’s the only participant in this match that has yet to hold this Championship......Scorpio is the current (and only two time) Champion, Chris Jericho ended Scorpio’s FIRST reign......and Rey Mysterio is the man that holds the record for longest reign.....which is exactly why Malenko is so dead set on winning this one..... ......interestingly enough there is no member of the Nation out there to accompany Scorpio, and while Test DOES come down to ringside with Jericho, the official quickly sends him to the back, much to the chagrin of Jericho, who was clearly planning on using his big bodyguard as back-up.....and he could have done with some back up too, because it was clear from the start that all three of his opponents were gunning for him.....after all, he’s the one that wants to take their division away from them, and the moment the bell rings Scorpio, Mysterio and Malenko all charge at Jericho, bouncing him around the ring like a pinball until he finally bails from the ring and halfway up the aisle to get away from the assault..... .....his three opponents are happy enough with that, after all, it only takes one of them to win to not only become the new champion, but save the division too......and being the saviour of the Light Heavyweight Division would be quite the bragging rights to have......the action continues inside the ring as Jericho looks on, with Malenko and Mysterio actually teaming up to work over Scorpio, but it’s not long before that competitive spirit puts a stop to that, as Malenko smashes Rey to the mat with a hard Powerbomb (that ALMOST scored him the pinfall until Jericho dashed to the ring to break it up, before quickly bailing to the outside again)..... ......that remained widely the story of the match, with Jericho keeping largely out of the way of the action, but never so far away that he’s not there to break up each pinfall attempt as needed....a fact that frustrates the other three competitors so much that Rey Mysterio finally throws caution to the wind, running across the ring and leaping onto the top rope, before flying off and crashing into Jericho with a springboard crossbody that wipes him out.....Mysterio is up first and rolls Jericho back into the ring and back into the action..... .......now the men pair off, with Mysterio and Scorpio going at it on the outside, while Malenko does his best to defeat Jericho INSIDE the ring....and he’s doing a good job of it too, because the Man of 1000 holds looks to be utilising every last one of them as he unleashes an unrelenting attack on Jericho.....and considering that this whole Light Heavyweight debacle STARTED with these two, I suppose it’s only fitting that it should end with these two as well.....and it certainly looked like the end was in sight as Malenko wrapped Jericho up, before turning him over into the Canadian Maple Leaf.......bit of course, nothing is ever that simple in the WWF......... <img alt="emOqLPr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/emOqLPr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ......because the bodyguard of Chris Jericho, Test comes running down the aisle, taking out both Scorpio and Mysterio in his way with a Double Clothesline as he comes, before sliding into the ring and almost taking Malenko’s head off with a Running Big Boot.....and he couldn’t have timed it any better, because Jericho was about five seconds away from submitting...... .....obviously that would usually be a disqualification, but as we know by now the rules in these multi man matches are rather more relaxed, and there is little the official can do as Test backs up into the corner, waiting for Malenko to stand.....before knocking him straight back down with another Big Boot......Rey Mysterio is back on his feet, and hops onto the apron, before propelling himself off the top rope with a Springboard Crossbody to Test, but the big man catches him and impressively presses the little luchador overhead, before dropping him over the top and down to the floor, where he crashes into the oncoming Scorpio...... ......Jericho runs across the ring and comes off the middle rope with the Lionsault, crushing the air out of the downed Malenko before making the cover for the one, the two......... .......and the three...... .......and just like that, not only is Chris Jericho your NEW WWF Light Heavyweight Champion......but he’s your LAST WWF Light Heavyweight Champion.....because the light heavyweight division......is no more. The Losing Team will be Fired From one fatal four way title match with the possibility of a competitor being fired, we go to a fatal four way title match, where a competitor will DEFINITELY be fired......two competitors actually.....because the team that loses this match, also loses their WWF career.....as the reigning WWF Tag Team Champions, the New Age Outlaws, put the titles on the line against the teams of Al Snow and Chris Candido, the young Canadian team of Edge and Christian.....and last but not least, Harlem Heat...... ......there may be four teams in this match, but only two men can be legal at any one time.....and although you can’t actually win the match on the apron, you’re not going to be the man to LOSE the match either.....something that (after essentially leaving the Road Dogg without a partner last Monday on Raw) Edge and Christian seem keen to capitalise on, because they are very reluctant to get into this one, often out and out refusing to tag into the match..... ......the other three teams in this one are more than eager to make sure they stay in this one.....there are blind tags galore as the illegal team on the apron does whatever they can to get themselves into the match and into a position to win......the Outlaws are particularly keen to get Edge and Christian in the match following the events from Raw, and eventually Al Snow grants them their wish, slapping Christian on the chest to get him into the match (much to the annoyance of Candido, but then pretty much Al Snow does annoys Chris Candido so there’s no change there)..... ......once they are actually in the match, Edge and Christian begin to dominate the Outlaws, with Christian being only a Booker T save away from picking up the victory on Road Dogg after hitting him with the Downward Spiral......and clearly frustrated at being stuck on the apron, both members of Harlem Heat then hit the ring.......which brings in Candido too......and finally Al Snow, who took some convincing as he stood in his corner with the Tag rope in hand, telling Candido that he can’t come in until he was tagged......Candido slaps Al on the arm, telling him ”there, you’re tagged” which apparently was good enough for Al...... ......from there a pier 8 brawl breaks out, as all four teams begin going at it......and eventually the official decides to just go with it, counting the pinfall attempts for anyone willing to try it, regardless of who’s legal.....with so many men in the ring however it’s nigh on impossible to secure a victory without someone being there to break it up.....eventually however Harlem Heat and the New Age Outlaws find themselves fighting on the floor, which just leaves Snow and Candido to battle it out against Edge and Christian......Candido is determined to pick up the win here too, and he goes all out in an attempt to secure the Tag Team Titles...... .......Snow and Edge both go over the top rope from an Al Snow Clothesline, just as Candido slams Christian to the mat, heading to the top rope where he’s looking to hit the Suicide Blonde Diving Headbutt.......Christian isn’t done however, and he’s up top to meet him, setting up a Superplex....... ......Candido is able to break free however, and the two men jostle for position up top, until Candido finally manoeuvres Christians head down between his legs........and sends him crashing hard to the mat with the Blonde Bombshell Top Rope Powerbomb.......and Christian is done........Candido makes the cover.......... ......for the one....... ......two....... ........and quick as lightning Billy Gunn dives into the ring, tosses Candido by the scruff of the neck to the outside.......and covers Christian himself.......and this time there’s no one to break up the pin.......and as the official strikes the mat for the third time, the New Age Outlaws steal a victory........and Edge and Christian are out of a job. Winner(s): ......and Still WWF Tag Team Champions.....The New Age Outlaws Rating: B </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="oJqc7jC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oJqc7jC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Career vs. Flock We air a quick recap video highlighting the factors that have lead up to our next match (while Edge and Christian receive an unsympathetic goodbye from the crowd) and then it’s straight back down to ringside for Psycho Sid vs. Raven...... ......and it’s a packed house at ringside for this one, as Sid has Jake Roberts in his corner, while the entire Flock are out with Raven to see their fate decided.....because yes, if Raven wins this one, Psycho Sid (much like Edge and Christian a moment ago) will be our of a job......but should Sid be victorious, Raven’s Flock will be no more.....and if Christopher Daniels and The Dogs of War’s recent actions are anything to go by, they may well be rooting for Sid, because these three men appear to be tiring of Raven’s intent to hold them down..... ......the match itself wasn’t great.....Raven IS capable of great matches, he’s had them with the Undertaker and even young Rey Mysterio......but Psycho Sid, (for all his popularity) is no Rey Mysterio.....and he’s certainly no Undertaker, so expecting Raven to carry him to a great match was an ask too far.....the match was also hindered slightly by the finish.....but more on that later...... .....Raven spent a good portion of the match spitting venom at the Snake on the floor.....telling him that he moulded Raven in his image, and now he doesn’t like what he sees? Telling him that he’s nothing but a hypocrite......Jake on the other hand assured Raven that all of this is for his own good.....I don’t know about that....having Psycho Sid hammering blows into you doesn’t sound like any good at all to me.....but then Raven seems to like pain, so this should be like all his Christmases rolled into one.....or Hanukkah’s I guess since Raven is Jewish....because Sid certainly unleashed the pain.....to his credit, Raven doesn’t back down an inch, and despite the size difference between the two men Raven more than holds his own, coming out of this looking incredibly strong...... ......oh and remember that finish I was talking about? Well here it is......because with Raven firmly in control, he grabs hold of Sid from behind and walks him over to the ropes, ordering Daniels and the Dogs of War to get up onto the apron......they reluctantly comply.....but they aren’t so forthcoming with Raven’s next order......he wants them to each slap Sid across the face to show their loyalty......all three men repeatedly refuse, until Raven angrily throws Sid to the ground, screaming at the three that they are selfish ingrates.....before he finally nails Wrath across the face with a degrading backhanded slap..... ......obviously Wrath doesn’t take too kindly to that.....shoving Raven back with such force that we collides with (a once again standing) Psycho Sid.....who spins Raven around.....kicks him in the gut......and Powerbombs him straight to the mat......and as Daniels, Wrath and Crush hold DeMott back, the official registers the one, the two and the three......Psycho Sid is still employed, while the Flock.......are no more...... .....incidentally it was less the finish of the match that dinged the rating.....but the winner of the match......because while Psycho Sid is over, he’s not as over as Raven, who’s popularity has soared despite limited in ring action......but then sometimes, even your most over wrestlers need to lose to someone lesser than them now and then if it advances the story. After everything he’s done for them? What about him? What about Raven?......before (in his second mistake of the evening, his first being the backhanded slap to Wrath) he slaps Crush right in the mouth......and much like his partner, the big Hawaiian doesn’t take too kindly to that.....and neither does Wrath......and the two Dogs of War reach out and grab hold of their former master......gripping him by the throat and slamming him hard into the mat with a huge Double Chokeslam........ ......and they’re not finished there.....because they motion at Christopher Daniels to head up top......which he does.....springing off the top turnbuckle with that double jump moonsault and crashing down onto the prone Raven, before all three men officially wipe their hands of the Flock and head to the back.....and all in all, this was not a good night for Champion has lost his gold (and his entire division) while our Tag Team Champions retained......its time for our third title match of the evening now.....and much like our Tag Team encounter, this is a fatal four way.....and the loser WILL be fired......unlike our Tag Team encounter however, all four competitors are legal in this one fall to a finish match..... ....there are some big names in this match.....the Rock and Jeff Jarrett in particular who have both seen their status rise to main event level in recent weeks......then you have Matt Hardy and Ken Shamrock, two men who are both a few steps below......quite a few steps below in Matt Hardy’s case, who is currently at more of a Midcard level, and way out of his element here, going from a Tag Team wrestler after the departure of his brother is a big step in itself, let alone having his first high profile singles encounter being against three other men.....two of which are genuine main eventers.....and not only that, should he be the man to lose, he’ll be fired too.....no pressure then Matt...... .......obviously learning from their earlier Light Heavyweight Championship loss, The Rock does NOT come out alone like Scorpio did.....instead he is accompanied by the menacing figure that is Kama....unfortunately for the Rock however, Kama is caught by the official interfering one too many times and finally gets ejected from ringside and ordered to the back by the referee, leaving the Rock p!ssed off and without backup....although in all fairness, the Rock is so good that he doesn’t actually NEED backup, he’s more than good enough to win this on his own merit......and he focuses the attention of his frustration on young Matt Hardy, who takes a serious beating here...... ......meanwhile, Ken Shamrock has resumed his battle with Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation, this time going at it with Jeff Jarrett...Double J has a wealth of experience despite his relatively young age, and while he doesn't have the out and out fighting ability of a Ken Shamrock, he does have plenty of WRESTLING ability....and this is a wrestling match after all....he also has a whole list of underhand tactics in his back pocket, not to mention that Acoustic Equaliser, which he attempts to utilise on the outside.....Shamrock avoids it at the last minute however, and Jarrett smashes the guitar to pieces on the steel post.......the near miss however seems to have p!ssed Shamrock off to the extreme.....in fact, you could say the man snaps, as he beats the life out of Jarrett all the way up the aisle and onto the entrance ramp, where he crashes Double J onto the steel ramp with a belly to belly, before locking on that Ankle Lock.......and make no mistake, Jarrett is tapping out like a madman.....unfortunately this match has to finish in the ring, not that Shamrock looks to have any intention of breaking the hold....a fact which according to Rick Rude, shows us that Shamrock is letting his temper cost him the match, because if he just released the hold and took Jarrett back to the ring, he could probably win this...... .......speaking of winning this, while all of that is going on, that's exactly what The Rock and Matt Hardy are trying to do inside the ring, as Hardy seems to have found his stride and has the European Champion in real trouble.......... <img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" big man of the Nation hasn't been seen since rupturing his bladder a month or so back, but it looks like he's fit, healthy.....and after Kama's earlier ejection.....ready to take care of Nation business..... ......he climbs into the ring and instantly puts a stop to Matt Hardy's offence....and the Rock stands back and watches as he easily picks up Hardy, positioning him for a powerslam that would certainly finish him off......it's do or die here however, and Matt Hardy does whatever he has to do in order to escape Nelson's clutches......he gouges at the eyes...... ......Nelson drops Hardy, before flailing blindly, clearly unable to see for the moment....the Rock charges at Matt, but the youngster sidesteps it and The Rock runs directly into Nelson, who quickly wraps his hands around his own team mates throat, driving him into the mat with a near 600lb Chokebomb......Nelson clearly has no idea that he's just destroyed his own partner, as he stands rubbing at his eyes......Hardy isn't about to miss the opportunity however.....and quickly drags the crushed Rock to his feet......before dropping him immediately with a Twist of Fate...... ......and with Shamrock still trying to twist Jeff Jarretts ankle clean off up the aisle, and Nelson unable to see anything......there is no one there to break up Matt Hardy's pinball attempt, as the official counts the one....... .......the two........ .........and the three........ .......and just like that, the biggest underdog in the match, Matt Hardy, is your NEW European Champion......and The Rock.....the highest profile star in this match........is gone.....and by the hands of his own team mate none the less......Faarooq will NOT be happy about that. Rating: B+ </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="zDiEZgK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zDiEZgK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="lbc4nWL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lbc4nWL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="wnBGIqa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wnBGIqa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="msPbqH3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/msPbqH3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> There aren't many matches this evening without SOME kind of stipulation attached.....this is one of them however, as the Wolfpac's Hall and Waltman face off against Ric Flair and Arn Anderson.....and when you consider the fact that out of these four men, only Sean Waltman could be considered "in his prime".....(in fact, Flair, Anderson.....AND Hall are all beginning to see their match qualities slipping as their abilities decline).....this was actually a very good match...... .....of course that's to be expected I suppose.....Flair and Anderson have already proved they can still have great matches, you only have to look at their battles with the Hart Foundation to see that.....and if nothing else, Ric Flair is still Ric Freaking Flair, and if there's one man that knows how to get a crowd fired up, it's the Nature Boy....so naturally the atmosphere for this one was great..... .....Hall and Waltman have been spinning their wheels really for the last few months, due to the ongoing Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels feud.....but one way or another they are finally going to be done with that by the end of the evening, and whether Nash goes, or Michaels goes, you've got to believe that these two Wolfpac members will be looking to step up their game, because while they may have been Wrestling predominantly as a tag team as of late, Waltman proved only a few weeks ago that singles gold is just as attainable, and a victory here tonight would certainly be a big confidence booster..... ......it's the smallest man in the match playing the face in peril role, with Flair and Anderson isolating Sean Waltman while focusing their offence on the knee of the former European Champion.....Rude claims that's smart Wrestling by the two veterans, because not only does it weaken the legs in preparation for the Nature Boys patented Figure Four, but it also cuts Waltman's offensive arsenal in half, because if he can't walk, he can't fly either.....Rude might have a point there....but while he can't fly, he CAN still hop....which is why he's able to nail Anderson right in the back of the head with an Enziguri kick.....before dragging himself to the corner to tag in The Bad Guy...... ......Hall hits the ring and goes to work on both Flair and Anderson....he's plenty fired up after being stuck on the apron for half the match, sending Anderson flying with the Fallaway Slam, before sending Flair across the ring with an Irish Whip to the corner, which sends the Nature Boy up and over, landing on the apron.....Flair runs the length of the apron and quickly climbs to the top of the opposite corner.....but we all know that never ends well, as Hall catches hold of the Nature Boy before he can leap, and tosses him halfway across the ring..... ......Waltman is back in, and it all breaks down from there as the four men go at it, with action happening inside the ring and out......Flair gets clotheslined over the top by Hall, who then turns his attention to Anderson.....Waltman sees his opportunity and goes flying to the outside too with a Plancha.....Flair moves however and the Kid hits nothing but floor, jarring his knee in the process.....Waltman drags himself to his feet using the crowd rail, but Flair instantly drops him with a chop block from behind.....this draws the attention of the official, who in turn misses Arn Anderson pulling a pair of brass knuckles out of his knee pad and nailing Hall right in the temple..... .......Hall goes down like a sack of sh!t and Anderson calls the official over before making the cover....and as if the brass knuckle shot wasn't enough, Flair also reaches under the bottom rope to hold Halls legs down....and three seconds later, Flair and Anderson have the victory. of the five Championships available here in the WWF......the show hasn't even finished and they are already down two titles AND a member as well......that leaves Faarooq as the sole remaining champion in the group, and to say his head wasn't in the game after the events of this evening would be an understatement.....and to go in there distracted against two opponents the caliber of the British Bulldog and Owen Hart is just asking to fail, especially when you consider the fact that Davey Boy Smith is already a two time Intercontinental Champion, a former (and first) European Champion, and a former WWF Tag Team Champion to boot.....the Bulldog certainly knows what it takes to capture the gold......and as for Owen Hart, while he has held Tag Team gold (both with opponent tonight Davey Boy Smith and with his brother The Hitman) he's jet to get his first taste of singles gold, so his motivation levels must be through the roof....... .....there are a lot of excellent matches happening here tonight, and this match right here is one of them, actually performing a little bit better than I was expecting considering neither Davey Boy or Faarooq are exactly technical masters, but then I suppose when you've got three men in there all scratching and clawing to pick up the victory, you're not exactly expecting a scientific match up to begin with...... ......good job really, because you didn't get one.....careers might not have been on the line here, but the Championship most certainly was, and all three men are hungry to claim it as their own.....Faarooq is obviously distracted by the tension within the Nation, because if there's one thing his group has ALWAYS been, it's cohesive, so this will not only be the first big test for the Nation, but the first test of Faarooq's leadership goals too.......couple that with the fact that the last time Faarooq lost this Championship, it was in another multi-man match much like this one, where Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Marc Mero for Faarooq's Title.....all of which means Faarooq must really be feeling the pressure tonight....... ......which is probably why he is happy to try and stay in the background during the majority of the opening portion of this match.....a fact that both Owen and Davey are happy to allow, since these two men have unfinished business to attend to after Owen and Bret turned on the Bulldog a few months ago now, and they get right too it from the second the bell rings, with the Bulldog getting the early advantage as he easily overpowers his brother in-law....Faarooq obviously decides that he can't win this thing by staying passive the whole match, and finally cuts off the Bulldogs attack, before actually joining forces with Owen, a man (along with brother Bret) that the Nation have had nothing but disparaging remarks for since day one....obviously that was never going to end well, and the partnership came to an abrupt halt the second Owen attempted a pinfall, with Faarooq dragging earlier, when he COST the Nation a Championship, by helping them RETAIN one here..... .......Faarooq doesn't look like he is particularly happy with that game plan, in fact he tells Nelson under no uncertain terms to get back to the locker room, before he screws up again.....Nelson isn't listening however....adamant that he can make it up to Faarooq right here....and the two men actually stand completely miss this man coming out of the crowd.....as Test makes his second appearance of the evening, sliding into the ring before taking the British Bulldog's head off his shoulders with a huge Running Big Boot....and as Faarooq continues to bicker with Nelson, he fails to notice Owen quickly covering Davey Boy.....at least until the bell rings and he sees Owen rushing to the back with the Intercontinental Championship held high in the air.....Faarooq just lost his second IC Title....and for the second time, he wasn't even the man beaten in the match. "......that after all......in this match.......ANYTHING goes......" .....and with that the Hitman heads off towards the ring, leaving Jim Ross to speculate that Stone Cold Steve Austin, may find himself fighting more than just Bret Hart tonight if that interview was anything to go by. Hitman" Hart are about to get down and dirty......these two have been feuding in one incarnation or another for the best part of a year now, ever since the night Steve Austin defeated (unfairly I may add) Bret in the finals of the 1996 King of the Ring....since then, be it singles competition, tag team competition.......or even (in the case of the 1996 Survivor Series) reluctant partners......one thing is for sure however, these two men HATE each other, and it's all coming to a head here tonight.....and so keen are these two to get their hands on each other, the bell has barely rung before Austin immediately lunges at Bret's feet, taking his opponent down and delivering a series of wild right hands to the Hitman......Bret is able to scramble to safery, getting back to his feet and meeting Austin head on as the pairing trade punches, before inevitably spilling through the ropes and to the floor.......... .....obviously in this anything goes match there are no count outs and no disqualifications, the official is literally here to register a three count or declare a submission victory, so our referee simply sits back and watches as the two men battle on the outside, continuing to exchange right hands until Bret finally sends Austin hard into the ringpost....Hart rips the protective covering up, exposing the concrete floor before attempting a suplex, but Austin blocks it, lifting Bret up for a suplex of his own, but instead of dropping back to the floor he drops him forward, crotching the Hitman on the guardrail, before sending him flying into the crowd with a running clothesline..... .....the two men battle their way through the crowd, with these fans firmly behind Austin as he lays into the Hitman with blow after blow....Bret snatches a drink from a nearby fan which he tosses in the face of Austin to cut off the attack, before tossing Stone Cold down the steps, sending him tumbling back down to the front row, where Hart returns the favour from earlier as he clotheslines Austin over the guardrail and back to the ringside area.....Bret follows and goes for an Irish Whip attempt, but Austin is able to reverse it, sending the Hitman hard into the steps....Austin flips Bret the double bird before picking up the ring steps and charging at his opponent....luckily for the Hitman he manages to get out of the way at the last second and Austin hits nothing but ring post, jarring his hands as steel strikes steel...... .....the fight finally gets back inside the ring as Hart rolls under the bottom rope to escape the onslaught, but Austin follows and catches Bret with an Irish Whip, dropping his head as he looks for a backdrop on the return, but Bret reverses that with a swinging neckbreaker......with Austin down, Bret goes to work on the legs, focusing on that braced knee as he hyperextends the limb, before dropping a number of knee drops....Austin gets a brief reprise as Bret drapes his leg over the bottom rope, looking to drop the weight of his own body down on top of it....Stone Cold manages to move the leg however and Hart crashes ass first on the mat..... .....Stone Cold drags himself to his feet using the ropes and goes to advance on the Hitman, but Bret cuts him off instantly by kicking the bad leg out from under him, before dragging Austin over to the corner, where he give Stone Cold a taste of his own medicine, first flipping him off, then stomping a mud hole in him that eventually drives the Rattlesnake down to the mat.....and with his opponent down, Bret takes the opportunity to remove the protective padding from the top turnbuckle, leaving just the exposed steel in its place......then, with Austin still down on the mat, he drops to the outside and grabs hold of Stone Colds legs.....before first yanking hard (and driving Steve Austin's groin into the steel post in the process) and then wrapping the Rattlesnakes legs around the steel, locking on the figure four around the ringpost..... .....Austin screams in agony, but he won't quit, much to the Hitman's frustration....who finally releases the hold, before picking up a steel chair which he crashes across the leg of Austin....he unloads with the steel chair a second time, before tossing the chair into the ring and then walking over to the timekeepers table, where he snatches up the ring bell and heads back towards Austin, who has dragged himself back to the centre of the ring.....the Hitman advances on Austin (who has pushed himself back up to all fours) with the ring bell held high overhead, but that leaves his midsection exposed, and as he comes within arms reach of Austin, Stone Cold quickly snatches up the steel chair from the mat, which he drives into the Hitman's ribs (doubling him over) and then smashes the steel across his back.....and as Bret straightens back up, Austin puts a huge dent into the chair as he slams it over the head of his opponent.....Hart sells the blow like he's just been taken out by a sniper, dropping lifelessly to the mat. Austin makes the cover, but the Hitman is able to get a shoulder up at the last possible moment..... ....Austin climbs to the second turnbuckle, where he flips the Hitman off again, before leaping off and driving the point of his elbow into his opponent, before a huge grin breaks out on the face of Austin, as he picks Bret's legs up and goes to apply the Hitman's own move, the Sharpshooter......Bret is able to kick Austin off with force however, driving him backwards into the corner, where he strikes that exposed turnbuckle.....and as Austin staggers forward clutching at his back, the Hitman scoops him up and drops him face first onto that exposed steel (Snake Eyes style) which busts Stone Cold wide open.... .....Bret is like a shark smelling blood, and doesn't even attempt to go for the cover....instead he drops down to one knee and unloads with a series of stiff blows right at the open wound on Austin's head, until finally his fist is covered in his opponents blood...... ......Bret slows the pace down now, as the blood pumps from the head of Stone Cold, clearly feeling like his victory is inevitable, as he begins to siphon through his moves of doom.....Russian Leg Sweep......followed by a few more blows to the open wound.....Backbreaker......followed by an elbow driven into the bloody skull of Austin from the second rope......Bret lefts up the legs and looks like he's about to step into the Sharpshooter, before he stops and shakes his head with a smile.....before stomping right on Austin's groin.... ......the crowd let the Hitman know exactly what they think of him, but Bret just smirks, pointing down at his fallen opponent who is oozing blood all over the mat, asking what they think of their precious American hero now.....the Hitman again picks up the steel chair, and stands cockily over his bloody opponent with the weapon raised high in the air.....which is when Austin brings his leg up.....kicking the Hitman right in the balls.... .....with the crowd willing him on, Austin rally's himself back to his feet and begins landing blow after blow that drives the Hitman back into the corner, where (with his face a crimson mask) Austin stomps not a mud hole, but the absolute living sh!t out of the Hitman, until Bret is left flat on the mat and Austin finally collapses beside him in exhaustion..... ......the two men are back on their feet at the count of nine, and they are both spent from the physical toll of the match.....Austin refuses to give up however, despite the fact that the blood is still flowing freely down his face.....he backs Bret into ropes with right hands and goes for the Irish Whip.....Bret reverses it and goes for the clothesline on the return....but Austin ducks that, before dropping Hart with the Thesz Press.....he drags Hart back to his feet and goes for the Stone Cold Stunner.....but Hart shoves it off, before catching hold of Austin and going for an Irish Whip......Austin reverses it however and Bret Hart crashes sternum first into the corner, straight into that exposed turnbuckle......he staggers out of the corner clutching his chest.....straight into a kick to the gut........Stunner.......and a blood soaked Austin makes the cover...... ......one...... ......two..... <img alt="qQmwebo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qQmwebo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xsr2jxl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xsr2jxl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="emOqLPr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/emOqLPr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> .......but no three.......because Test drags the official out of the ring before his hand can strike the mat for the third and final time......as Owen Hart and Chris Jericho dive into the ring and proceed to pounce on Austin.......and this match is anything goes......there is nothing the official can do about it......... ........now it's four against one......overwhelming odds for anyone, even the toughest S.o.B in the WWF.......or is it?.......because as Austin is backed into the corner, his face still a bloody mess, he's able to swing wildly enough to break free.....back drop Owen over the top rope.....nail Test with a Stunner......and Clothesline Jericho over the top and to the floor beside Owen in the space of around 15 seconds.........only to turn around straight into a huge steel chair shot that echoes with a loud crack....... ......if Austin wasn't bleeding already, he would be after that shot.....and Bret capitalises immediately, locking on the Sharpshooter......Hart is screaming at Austin to quit, but Stone Cold point blank refuses, and as a loud "Austin" chant breaks out throughout the arena, Stone Cold digs down deep and musters every bit of strength he has left to try to push up and out of the hold…..... <img style="max-width:50%; "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/SL88RKQ.png" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/SL88RKQ.png"></a> …but as the blood pumps out of the open wound in his head, Bret locks the hold in even tighter and sits back in as deep as ever......and Austin slowly fades.......and fades........and fades again.....until, after repeated attempts from the official to elicit a response from Stone Cold, he rules that Austin is unresponsive, and as such, not physically able to continue with this match......and as Jim Ross adamantly decrees that Stone Cold never did, and never would quit, the referee calls for the bell, awarding the match and the victory.....to Bret Hart. wayyyyy back at the Royal Rumble....the night that Kevin Nash not only Jacknife Powerbombed Shawn Michaels through the announce table, but ceased to be a member of the KLiQ too......he actually ceased to be a member of the WWF roster for a while as well, because Vince McMahon fired him on the spot......but a big victory over Kane got Big Sexy reinstated, and from there on in he has been obsessed with getting the Heartbreak Kid in the ring.....and tonight, he gets his wish.....of course, he may well find himself ceasing to be a member of the WWF roster once more, because it's all on the line tonight....Kevin Nash vs. Shawn Michaels.....and the loser WILL be leaving the World Wrestling Federation....... .....and this truly will be Mano et Mano too, because Vince McMahon has decreed that ANYONE who interferes in this match, be that on behalf of Nash or Michaels, will be fired on the spot....in fact, even Sunny has opted to stay in the back, meaning Shawn Michaels really is a man alone......and a man alone in there with a bonafide Giant who has been waiting to tear him apart for months now.....although while that SHOULD mean a whole world of pain for the Heartbreak Kid, it does potentially give him a get out of jail free card too.....because he antagonises the big man so much, that Nash almost finds himself disqualified within the first two minutes of the match for failing to respond to the officials orders on a number of occasions, and a disqualification loss is still a loss whichever way you look at it..... ......Nash continues to throw caution to the wind, ignoring the official as he backs Michaels into the corner, where he unloads with a series of big knee's to the gut, before attempting to send Shawn across the ring with an Irish Whip.....Michaels reverses it however, and its Nash that hits the turnbuckles, only for HBK to nail him right in the jaw with a drop kick that sends Big Sexy tumbling over the top rope and to the floor.....Nash gets back to his feet on the outside, but Shawn puts him straight back down with a running baseball slide that sends him crashing into the guardrail......and showing that he will do ANYTHING to win this match up, Shawn follows that up with a top rope Moonsault, before rolling Back into the ring and telling the official to count Nash out.... .....Big Sexy makes it back into the ring by the count of eight, and Shawn is straight back on the attack, dropping a series of elbow drops to the lower back, screaming at his former friend that he's an ungrateful son of a bitch who should have known his place, because now, the Heartbreak Kid is going to make sure he doesn't have a place at all.....and he continues his all out assault on Nash, who is certainly fading by the minute.......but he's not done yet, and as Shawn attempts an Irish Whip, Nash reverses it, sending Michaels so hard into the corner that he goes inside out Ric Flair style, landing on his feet on the apron.....where Nash returns the favour from earlier, as he sends Shawn crashing into the guardrail with a Big Boot..... .....Nash heads to the outside, where he hammers the former WWF Champion with blow after blow, before finally reaching under the ring and pulling out a wooden table....the crowd pops big for that, clearly they have a good idea what Nash is planning to do with this....and so does the official.....because as Big Sexy sets Michaels up for that Big Jacknife through the table, the referee lets him know in no uncertain terms that he WILL disqualify him if he drives Shawn Michaels through that table.....Nash hesitates for a moment, but in the end simply shrugs his shoulders, deciding that it's worth it......and he lifts Shawn up for that Powerbomb.....they are too close to the ring however.....and at the very height of the move Michaels is able to reach out and snatch the top rope, pulling himself off Nash's shoulders and on to the apron where he dives to the safety of the ring...... .....Nash is p!ssed now, and slams his hands on the table in frustration, before pulling himself up onto the apron......where Shawn Michaels is waiting with a Sweet Chin Music that sends Nash flying backwards off the ring apron and crashing through that wooden table to the floor below.....and the sight of the seven foot Big Sexy laying motionless on the arena floor is enough for Michaels, who once again tells the official to count him out.... .....somehow Big Sexy is able to crawl back under the bottom rope by the count of nine....a fact that clearly p!sses Shawn Michaels off, because he backs up into the corner and begins tuning up that band as he waits for Nash to get back to his feet.....before flying across the ring with a second Sweet Chin Music.....except Nash catches the foot this time.....spins Michaels around.....and levels him with a huge Clothesline.....and now both men are down and spent.... .......the two men slowly get back to their feet and begin trading blows, which Nash gets the better of, sending Michaels across the ring with an Irish Whip.....Michaels ducks the Clothesline attempt not he return, but then gets caught with a Side Slam that drives him into the mat.....Nash drags Shawn to his feel and hoists him up onto his shoulder, before walking the length of the ring and dropping him face first on the Turnbuckle with a Snake Eyes/Big Boot combination that almost gives him the three.....before giving the sign for the Jacknife..... ......he sets Shawn up and lifts him high in the air.....but Michaels wriggles out of his grasp and lands on the mat behind him where he unloads instantly with some Sweet Chin Music.....but Nash sidesteps at the last possible second.....kicks the Heartbreak Kid in the gut.......and powers him hard to the mat with a huge Jacknife, before making the cover for the...... .....one....... ......the two......... ........and the three........ .......and just like that, Shawn Michaels WWF career comes to an end, at the hands of a man once considered his best friend......the Heartbreak Kid has indeed, left the building. href="https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg"></a> So here it is.....the main event in an evening packed with potential main events.....and with a card full of such huge marquee matches there was a bit of trepidation on my part about putting this match on last....not because I wasn't confident that Scotty wouldn't deliver, but I knew Hart and Austin would be great, I knew Nash and Michaels had the potential to be great.....I was even quietly confident that Dude Love and Brian Pillman would be very good.....but Ahmed Johnson is as yet untested as the main event of a show....especially arguably the second biggest show of the year behind Wrestlemania......in fact I very nearly put Michaels and Nash as the show closer but in the end I wanted our title match last so I took the risk......and luckily it paid off, because this match more than lived up to those other matches...... .....it helped that we kept it shorter than the other main attraction matches.....Scott's sweet spot is around the 20-25 minute mark, but Ahmed can't go that long without blowing up, so we kept this to around 18 minutes.....luckily that was all these two needed...... .......the story of the match did indeed revolve around the "injury" to the throat of the Champion, with the commentators playing up on the fact that Scott Steiner is at far from 100%, with Rude in particular stating that even at 110% your average man is going to struggle to defeat Ahmed Johnson.....but then as Jim Ross points out, Scott Steiner is far from your average man.....he's a genetic freak, and he's not going to give this World Wrestling Federation Title up without a fight..... ......and a fight is exactly what this was.....both of these two big bulls are known for their power, and while Steiner CAN wrestle, he's switched to a more brawl based offence since his evolution into Big Poppa Pump, and since Ahmed CAN'T wrestle, a brawl based match is what we stuck too.....that's not to say there weren't Wrestling holds....and at one point Ahmed even tried to embarrass the Champion by locking him in his own Steiner Recliner hold....a hold (which as Rick Rude points out) is guaranteed to do additional damage to that already injured throat.....Steiner shows off his impressive strength here.....not only powering out of the hold and onto all fours, but actually returning to a standing position with Ahmed still on his back....and dropping to the mat in force, driving all of his considerable weight into Ahmed in the process...... ....the two men duke it out to the finish line....and the crowd are white hot.....and there is a reason for that.....see, while based on pure star power, the five biggest names in the WWF (Your franchise players if you will) are Shawn Michaels, Brian Pillman, Steve Austin, The Undertaker and Bret Hart.......but in terms of raw popularity here in the US of A, Steiner and Johnson have all five of those men beat.......in fact, Scott Steiner and Ahmed Johnson are the third and fourth most popular wrestlers in America, behind Hollywood Hogan at number one and The Warrior at number two........and in terms of worldwide exposure, Scott Steiner is currently the second most popular wrestler in the entire world, behind (you guessed it) Hollywood Hogan......which probably explains why the crowd was on their feet as Big Poppa Pump mounted his big comeback......especially when he absolutely nailed Ahmed with a big, stiff Steinerline......before locking him into the Steiner Recliner......and it's right in the middle of the ring......and Ahmed Johnson is going nowhere......... <img alt="Y9FHBdx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y9FHBdx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cpQ8EAh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cpQ8EAh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ......which is exactly the time that Goldust and Marcus come running down the aisle...... .....Goldust is still wearing Steiner's chain mail headgear.....and yes he still has that lead pipe in his hand.....and as Marcus dives onto the apron (along with Cornette) to completely distract the attention of the referee....The Bizarre One slides into the ring behind Steiner.....takes that lead pipe......and smashes him right around the back of the head with it.......and as Scotty slumps to the mat in an unconscious heap, Goldust slides back out of the ring and heads around the opposite side to join his flamboyant partner in crime...... .......Ahmed struggles to his feet.....lifting the dead weight that is Scott Steiner off the mat.....before picking the WWF Champion up in the air and driving him down to the canvas with the Pearl River Plunge, before making the cover......and as Jim Cornette jumps up and down in anticipation on the outside, the official counts the one.....the two......and the three.......this one is over......Scott Steiner has been robbed......and Ahmed Johnson is your new WWF Champion. The Rock and Shawn Michaels, heading to WCW. We are definitely in the new era, as this game has been built so much about HBK that it is going to feel strange going forward (on the WWF side) without him. I look forward to seeing what you do from here. I legit was expecting to see the Nation harass Vince and get him to fire Nelson instead, saving Rocky's job and getting rid of Mabel, but it doesn't look like that's happening just yet.

And yes, if you are doing Bret vs. Austin in a street fight type match for the first time, I think you are almost required to lift the WM13 finish. It's in the bylaws.

Kevin Nash - Ahmed against Nash will prove just how well Johnson can sink or swim now that he has the gold.

Scott Hall - Scott Steiner is going to be out for golden blood.

Brian Pillman - Even with you pretty much telling us all that the Euro title is going to just be the lower card title, I still question what the LHWs are going to do to stand out now.

<div style="text-align:center;"> <img alt="Qsi2WSr.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Qsi2WSr.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Week 4, August 1997 Madison Square Garden (New York, New York) ATT: 20,258 TV: 34.09 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> <img alt="cV65vQq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cV65vQq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="eBuWMm2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eBuWMm2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> We are just 24 hours removed from one of the biggest Summerslam events in history, and just 24 hours away from the entire landscape of the World Wrestling Federation changing exponentially, as not only did we lose an entire division, we lost one of the brightest young tag teams on the roster in Edge and Christian.....we lost a supremely talented, guaranteed future star in the Rock (a man who incidentally had just reached true main event level).....and in the biggest shock of the night, we lost arguably the man who had been the face of the WWF for the last 18 months.....the man who reigned as World Wrestling Federation Champion for one full calendar year......and if you were to ask HIM, we lost the Reason for the Ratings, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, all of whom gambled their careers......and lost...... ......and speaking of people who lost, Big Poppa Pump is no longer at the top of the mountain around here, after being dethroned last night at the hands of Ahmed Johnson.....although Ahmed didn’t do it alone.....he had a little helping hand (or should that be pipe) from the Bizarre One, Goldust..... ......we have the usual post pay per view still images from last night, before we head straight down to ringside, where good old Jim Ross and Ravishing Rick Rude are standing by to not only welcome us to the show, but run down the events of last night....they discuss the departures of a number of major stars.....Chris Jericho’s ego costing an entire division their Championship, before highlighting that Summerslam was a particularly good night for the Hart Foundation and their cohorts, with not only Jericho finding success, but Owen Hart capturing the Intercontinental Championship, as well as Bret Harts huge victory over Stone Cold Steve Austin in their anything goes street fight.....although Jim Ross is quick to point out that it was indeed anything goes, as it took four men to put Austin down.....just as it took Goldust striking Scott Steiner in the back of the head with a lead pipe to gift Ahmed Johnson the WWF Title.....Rick Rude (as you would expect) wholeheartedly disagrees with that, telling Ross that all Goldust did was give Steiner a little “love tap”, and Ahmed already had the match in the bag........ .......which is exactly the point that Ahmed Johnson’s music begins to play, and YOUR brand new WWF Champion makes his way out, with Jim Cornette by his side....... ”......I told you that Ahmed Johnson couldn’t be stopped.....that Ahmed Johnson was on a path of destruction.....I told you that Ahmed Johnson would win the King of the Ring, and he won the King of the Ring.....I told you Ahmed Johnson would destroy the Undertaker, and the so called Deadman hasn’t been seen since......I told you Ahmed Johnson would beat Steve Austin like a government mule, and ‘Hee-Haw’, that’s exactly what he did......so when I told you that Ahmed Johnson was going to prove that Scott Steiner was nothing but an over inflated body and an over inflated ego.....when I told you that Ahmed Johnson was going to break him in half, take that title....and become the first black WWF Champion is history, was there really any doubt it would happen?.....I don’t think so.....” ......Cornette says that Ahmed beat Scott Steiner so bad last night, that the Genetic Loser isn’t even here tonight......he says that Ahmed will be THE most dominant Champion that the World Wrestling Federation has ever seen....hell, he’ll be the most dominant Champion that all of Professional Wrestling has seen.....and to do that he needs Challengers, so come one come all, and you can all be just the entire Wolfpac who is going to be first..... .....Nash and co. chuckle at that, before playing an elaborate game of rock, paper, scissors.....which Nash appears to win, because he grabs a microphone to tell Ahmed that it looks like it’s gonna be him..... ”......and I gotta tell you big man, I’m feeling pretty good right about now.....I finally scratched that itch that I just couldn’t quite reach last night....that little irritation that goes by the name of Shawn Michaels.....you might have heard of him, about yay tall, smug little face......real annoying little fella......oh, and he held that title that’s around your waist there for about 12 months.......about the same length of time that I held that title that’s around your waist actually......and you know what, it’s been too long since old Big Sexy here held that strap.....so since you’re going around throwing out Championship opportunities, I got your first seven foot tall big, sexy Challenger right here.......” .....Cornette doesn’t actually look too happy about that, but Ahmed is perfectly fine with it, telling Nash that he might be the first Challenger, but he certainly won’t be the last.....because like because not only were Owen and Chris victorious, but so was he.....when he showed the world who the toughest s.o.b in the WWF really is, by defeating that fraud Stone Cold Steve Austin at his own game, in his own style of match..... ”......because see, not only am I the BEST technical wrestler alive today.....not only am I the Excellence of Execution.....but I’m the best damn fighter in the WWF too......and since I was screwed out of that title to begin with by you Kevin Nash.....and you Scott Hall.....the way I see it, the only thing you scumbags deserve is an ass kicking.....Canadian style.....” .....Scott Hall wiggles his fingers in mock fear at the Harts, telling Bret that he sounds almost convincing.....it’s just a shame they spent the last eighteen months getting their asses it.....bring it......" ......obviously they do have a problem with that......and the foursome begin to advance towards the ring, which is when Jim Cornette interrupts.....he says that if Ahmed Johnson had his way, he'd invite all seven of you in this ring right now and Pearl River Plunge you two at a time till there was no one left.....BUT, Ahmed Johnson pays Jim Cornette a LOT of money to handle his business affairs, and that's exactly what he's going to do right now......and since Bret Hart and Kevin Nash both want a shot at the Pearl River Powerhouse.....and since Ahmed Johnson really doesn't give a damn WHO he destroys first.....why don't Big Sexy and The Hitman duke it out tonight, with the winner gaining the privilege of being The WWF Champion's first victim.....as for the rest of the guys there, they can kill each other to their hearts content, it doesn't effect Ahmed in the slightest...... ......both Bret and Nash seem to think that's a pretty good idea, and our main event is set.....but there are still clearly some issues to resolve between the Wolfpac and the Canadians. Rating: A* </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="Cy5KT5G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Cy5KT5G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="o8GrTsa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/o8GrTsa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> It's main event time last night, and it's two men that both had very successful evenings last night, with Kevin Nash not only defeating Shawn Michaels, but sending him packing from the WWF as well....while Bret Hart scored a hard hitting (and assisted) victory over arch rival Stone Cold Steve Austin......and victory here tonight would be the icing on the cake for both men, because Ahmed Johnson has agreed to put his newly won WWF Championship on the line against the winner at Ground Zero: In Your House..... .....even without the added incentive of a WWF Title opportunity on the line, Bret Hart has been wanting to get his hands Kevin Nash and the rest of the Wolfpac for a while now, with all three members high on the list of people who have "screwed" the Hitman over......and while Bret isn't wrong, they DID screw him over, Hart's biggest gripe as of late is that the WWF audience seems to have forgotten all of the Wolfpac's KLiQ related sins, embracing the Red and Black while shunning the Pink and Black..... ......these two have fought many times over the years....1994, 1995, 1996.....and now 1997.....and while all the matches have been different, the general story has always been the same, with the Hitman attempting to chop the big seven footer down to size, before softening up the leg for the Sharpshooter.....and unsurprisingly this one is no different.....the only difference between this match and all their previous encounters, is the sheer number of men surrounding the ring......Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Owen Hart, Chris Jericho....Test.....so many people in fact you could almost be forgiven for thinking this was a lumberjack match.....(a match incidentally that you're unlikely to see during my tenure booking the World Wrestling Federation, because I personally can't stand them)..... .......obviously with so many folks on the outside, tempers were always going to be frayed....in fact, not only were they frayed, they outright erupted.....because as Kevin Nash positioned the Hitman for the Jacknife Powerbomb, all three Canadians on the outside stormed the ring, diving on Nash and giving the official little choice but to call for the bell and award Big Sexy the Disqualification victory (and the WWF Title match at the upcoming Ground Zero event.) Austin hops back down, beer soaked and still hurling insults about the departed Bret Hart, only to turn around and come face to face with all three members of the Wolfpac..... ......Stone Cold certainly had his fair share of problems with the KLiQ during their reign of terror, so it's a tense few moments to say the least.....until Austin tosses each man a beer (non-alcoholic for Scott Hall obviously) and the four men share a toast before Austin resumes his one man beer bash on all four corners of the ring........ <img alt="LIoPOQU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LIoPOQU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ......but it seems like we still have one more arrival......well, two actually.....because the Owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Vince McMahon makes his way out, with his personal problem solver Kane by his side.....he tells Austin that while he looks to be having quite the time of it out there, getting beer all over his ring, he might want to put his drink down for two minutes and listen...... "......you see, Ahmed Johnson may have told Bret Hart and Kevin Nash that the winner of this match would be granted a title opportunity, but with all due respect, Ahmed Johnson isn't the boss around here.....I am.......and because I am the boss, I have the power to make matches.....and I have the power to take matches away, and as such that makes a rather unique opportunity for YOU Steve.......see, quite frankly I don't like Bret Hart......I don't like Kevin Nash......what I do like however.....is ratings movers..... ......now, thanks to Mr. Nash there, my number one draw, the reason for the ratings Shawn Michaels is no longer employed by the World Wrestling Federation, and as such, that leaves me with both a problem and an opening......an opening that could SOLVE my problem....a spot that needs filling if you will, and there's no denying that YOU Stone Cold Steve Austin, for reasons known only to these air headed morons in the crowd, YOU are a ratings mover.....so what I'm offering you.....is a spot.....THE spot, as my new Corporate Face...... .....now granted we are going to have to make some changes.....the beer swilling on live tv, the cursing......the clothes......these all have to go.....it's going to take some time, because frankly, as a diamond in the rough you're more rough than diamond, but with my expert guidance we could really make you a star that Corporate could be proud of...... ......now, I know you're a bit hot headed.....a bit rash......something else we need to work on......so take a week to think about it, but consider this too......that shot......against Ahmed Johnson for the WWF Championship? War Games, but the war has started early tonight.....it's Hogan, Savage, Warrior, Levesque, Traylor, the Nasty Boys and Titan in Training Buff Bagwell......it's Lex Luger, the Giant, Hennig, DDP, Benoit and the WCW Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors....and these warring sides have barely even made it into the building....we have a Street Fight tonight in our main event, but we have an all out riot going down right now...... ......with so much action going on the cameras have difficulty covering everything, so we switch from shot, to shot, to shot and back again......Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Benoit going at it in the street with Jean Paul Levesque, Buff Bagwell and Ray Traylor, surrounded by a mass of cheering fans that haven't made it into the building yet...... ......we have The Road Warriors and The Nasty Boys going at it in the catering area, clearly getting warmed up for their upcoming Street Fight later this evening..... ......and fighting their way through the backstage area we have Lex Luger, Giant and Curt Hennig trading blows with Hollywood Hogan, Randy Savage and The Warrior...... ......it's absolute carnage with DDP and Benoit fending off three men by bouncing their skulls off the brickwork outside, Knobbs and Saggs trading chair and trash can shots with Hawk and Animal, while Hogan, Warrior, Savage, Luger, Giant and Hennig have punched, kicked, scratched and clawed their way through the halls of the building, and have now made their way out to ringside, where they continue their brawl in front of a white hot crowd..... <img alt="bGeEp8s.jpg" picking up an injury just weeks ahead of Fall Brawl....and security is FINALLY able to separate the war that is raging on backstage and outside of the arena.....we've been live for ten minutes, and Scotty is still finding his feet as a singles competitor following the disbanding of the American Males, and while his former partner Buff Bagwell has found himself slowly but surely climbing that ladder, Riggs has stagnated a little bit, so obviously a win here over newcomer Storm would certainly give his career a boost.......unfortunately for him that doesn't happen, as Storm finishes him off relatively easy with the Canadian Maple Leaf. Rating: A </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="EHXMPDR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EHXMPDR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="dV8dxIs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dV8dxIs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Well, they've been kept apart all night, but it's time once again for World Championship Wrestling to collide with the Titans of Wrestling......but this time at least, it will be a sanctioned match, as Curt Hennig faces off against Titan in Training Buff Bagwell.....Bagwell may not have earned his colours just yet, it he's certainly seen his stock rise with his recent association with Hogan and his band of merry men.... .....he's still a step below his opponent tonight however.....a man who made his debut here for WCW only a few weeks ago, and already got off to the perfect start, not only with a victory over Hollywood Hogan, but by handing the Titans of Wrestling their first public embarrassment....something which neither Russo OR Hogan will have forgotten about.....however should Bagwell gather a victory here tonight, you've got to believe that for one, the training wheels may finally come off making him a fully fledged Titan.....and two, that gap between Buff and Hennig would shorten expediently...... .....it's a packed house tonight, with almost 16,000 screaming WCW fans in attendance, and it's about to be even fuller out here.....because not only are the entire Titans out with Bagwell, and the WCW group out with Hennig.....but at least 45 security officers forming a barrier between the two teams, ensuring that each group remains on the opposite side of the ring to the other....and not only that, Bischoff and Russo BOTH join the commentary team (and spend the majority of the match sniping at each other)..... .....of course the rather unique environment for this one means that there is actually plenty of opportunity to cheat....because as Bagwell tosses Hennig to the floor (before proceeding to distract the official) the Titans of Wrestling jump him on the outside, and there is absolutely nothing that team WCW can do about it due to the wall of security.....and so the match goes on in much the same vein, until The Giant has seen enough and single handedly crashes his way through about 8 security guards to put a stop to another Titan beating......and that just opens the floodgates...... .....because once Giant breaks through, the rest of team WCW follows and we once again have a small scale riot on our hands on the outside.....back in the ring however Curt Hennig has caught hold of Bagwell in the midst of all this chaos, sending him over into the Hennig-Plex for the one, the two, and the three...... Rating: B </div></blockquote> <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div> <img alt="axfbKRQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/axfbKRQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> <img alt="hb2tHFX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hb2tHFX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Q8vqWO6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Q8vqWO6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="3t5Mcpd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3t5Mcpd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="btMTTG9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/btMTTG9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Street Fight If there is one thing we haven't been short of tonight, it's wild anything goes brawls.....although this one at least is sanctioned and will NOT be broken up by security....not that we have many security personnel left anyway, the majority of them are in the back making sure that the two War Games teams are kept separate..... .....as Russo rightly pointed out, this is the third meeting between these two teams...and thus far, Hawk and Animal have won each time....the Nasty's certainly have more of a chance here tonight however, because if there's one thing they know how to do it's fight....this match comes almost seven years after their most high profile Street Fight Title Match, where they unsuccessfully Challenged the Steiner Brothers at Halloween Havoc 90 for the United States Tag Team Championships, in what was possibly the best match on the card....will that prove to be a bad omen for Knobbs and Saggs as they go up against the Road Warriors here?.... .......there's no tags in this one, it's tornado rules as these four men proceed in beating the holy hell out of each other, and the action spills out to the floor practically instantly (leading to Bobby Heenan remarking that WCW moving the announce desk from ringside and putting it way up here out of the way is the best thing they ever did)......hold that thought though Bobby....because while these men start off battling at ringside, it's not long until they are going all over the building.....INCLUDING up by the announce desk (where Bobby Heenan throws down his headset and gets the hell out of dodge until the coast has cleared)..... .......the Nasty's get more offence in here than they have in their last two meetings with the Road Warriors combined, as they use all manner of weapons at hand to nail Hawk and Animal.....Knobbs even drills Hawk with a Piledriver to he concrete floor.....although he probably should have known better....because everyone knows Hawk is (bizarrely) immune to piledrivers, and he bounces right back to his feet.....Knobbs charges at the now standing Hawk, but gets backdropped straight through a nearby table..... .......that takes Knobbs out of the equation long enough for Animal to get the upper hand on Saggs, and both Warriors toss the lone Nasty Boy back into the ring....Animal hoists the Challenger up onto his shoulders, and Hawk comes flying off the top as the Road Warriors deliver the Doomsday Device to their opponent......Animal makes the cover, and three seconds later the Champions retain.....and as far as the Titans of Wrestling are concerned, the Nasty Boys are in big, big, trouble. "......shut up......SHUT UP.......I think I've made myself pretty clear around here.....this is the TITANS of Wrestling.....not the three time Losers of Wrestling......the Elite.....the best of the best.....you wanna stand shoulder to shoulder with Hollywood bro, you need to be pulling your weight.....and Boys, you just ain't cutting it......." ......Knobbs clearly realises that he's fighting a losing battle with Russo and turns his attention to Hogan, telling him that they've been friends for years, that must count for something.....much like Russo however, Hogan isn't interested, telling Knobbs that....... "......the Titans of Wrestling isn't about friendship brother.....it's about success......Hollywood Hogan and the Macho Man Dude, we've been up and down that road a thousand times, we've fought, we've laughed.....but more importantly we've made money together brother.....lots of money.......and right now, you're not making us money, you're just making us a laughing stock, and Hollywood Hogan doesn't find that funny.....the Macho Man doesn't find that funny......and you'd better believe that the Warrior doesn't find that funny dudes......" ......to be fair, this new Dark Warrior doesn't look like he finds anything funny, as he stands looking rather intense in the background......Russo takes the microphone, telling the Nasty's that they had one job.....bring home the Tag Team Gold......and they couldn't even do that...... ".......but it's ok, it's ok.....you live and you learn.....see sometimes, name value alone doesn't cut it anymore......sometimes, those past accomplishments are all you have left.......and sometimes......you need to put the old dogs down, to bring the new blood in........because while this group right here before you features the biggest names in wrestling EVER, we're not just about star power......we're about building for the future......out with the old, in with the new......blood in........blood out........" <img alt="n6VlePJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n6VlePJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Q05JuYr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Q05JuYr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> .....which is when two familiar looking blonde haired gentlemen come bursting into the ring, nailing both Knobbs and Saggs from behind.....Tony Schiavone is totally blown away by these new arrivals, and while he is careful not to mention them by name, is is certainly not shy about alluding to their former identities...... .....the rest of the Titans stand back and watch the beating unfold.....some with glee like Ray Traylor who is clearly delighted at seeing some good old fashioned violence.....some with disinterest like the Warrior, who is standing there as though all of this is beneath his time.....either way it's obviously our new arrivals initiation, and as the two newcomers hop to the outside to pick up a couple of steel chairs, it looks like it is indeed going to be blood in for the blondes......and blood out for the Nastys.......because as the now former Titan Tag Team stand to their feet, the two former employees of Titan Sports each raise a steel chair, swinging simultaneously at first Knobbs, then Saggs.....a Con-Chair-Co if you will...... ......the Nasty Boys both slump to the mat, and each man has indeed been busted wide open....Russo grabs the microphone again, reminding everyone that he TOLD them that all he had to do was make one phone call, because everyone is replaceable..... ......Traylor rips the Nasty Boys Titan shirts off, rolling the pair onto their fronts, before Hogan hands the two newcomers a spray-can each......and in a now familiar scene, the show ends with a close up of two battered and bloodied bodies.....with three letter painted across their backs in black paint.......T........o........W........goodnight fans.
