A new generation.....a new attitude?

We recorded our biggest even ratings victory this week.....thrashing nitro by almost eleven points as we scored a massive 28.15 to Nitro's 17.69.......although when you consider that their main event saw Big Bubba Rogers.......yes, the Big Boss Man.....defeat Jean Paul Levesque, then you can probably understand why so many people switched over to us.......that's a defeat to Benoit and Malenko last week, and a defeat by the Boss Man tonight? Old Hunter Hearst Helmsley must be glad he made the jump now to the minor league...... ......in some international news, Yuji Negata ended Keiji Mutoh’s almost two year IWGP World Championship run when he captured the Title in what I begrudgingly admit an awesome match.... ......remember I said I didn't hold out much hope in Dusty Rhodes accepting my rather paltry contract by WCW's standard a few weeks back? Unsurprisingly he went for the big money and re-signed with Bischoff......I am slightly disappointed, but I'm not disappointed enough to pay the man $40,000 a month....... ......while we are on the subjects of contracts.....I got a telephone call immediately following Raw....from a rather hushed Nature Boy Ric Flair......Flair was calling me from backstage at Nitro, by all accounts his and Arn Anderson's contracts are both up, and he was basically telling me that he wants out of WCW......he said he can't stand Bischoff, and frankly he's fed up of being treated like a joke, instead of the legend that he is.......problem is, it's a package deal......Ric won't jump ship without Arn and vice versa.......I'm not going to lie, I marked out like a little girl......(internally obviously)......just to be speaking to The Nature Boy......Ric Flair and the Horsemen were a cornerstone of my childhood, and I was a HUGE fan........but, there was something holding me back from making an offer there and then........ ......yes it's Ric Flair.....arguably the biggest name in wrestling behind Hogan......yes, with Arn it's one half of the Four Horsemen.......but......we've just spent the best part of three years burying these guys for being has beens......we spent three years pushing first the new generation of WWF superstars, and then the new attitude of the WWF......where does Ric Flair fit into that "attitude"......and Arn, Arn is already working a reduced schedule, what's he going to be, Ric Flair's mouthpiece? Ric Flair doesn't need anyone to talk for him......I know that's kind of hypocritical considering I actively tried to sign Randy Savage last year, but in my defence, if there's one worker with "attitude" it's the Macho Man, probably the only person in the world who uses caffeine as a sleep aid.......Flair? Anderson? Besides, the way I'm seeing it, the Kliq aren't going to be around forever. Netting Naitch and Double A can build up that future major heel threat.

Federation, Vincent Kennedy McMahon is standing in the middle of the ring.....and he doesn't look happy......but then neither does the man standing at his side, the World Wrestling Federation Champion, Shawn Michaels.......Brian Pillman, pacing the ring behind them doesn't look best pleased either......rounding up the bunch are Kane, who's mask makes him expressionless.......Lance Storm, who's the only man in the ring who looks pretty pleased with himself........and finally, sat far away in the corner of the ring (frankly looking uninterested in this whole situation, but then he's not exactly known for his social skills) is Raven........ .......Vince immediately makes friends by telling the crowd to shut the hell up because he's got something to say, and he wants the whole world to hear it, without these braying idiots drowning out his voice.......obviously that doesn't go down well.......but eventually the crowd is quiet enough that McMahon can continue.........he begins by saying the the events of last week were a travesty......he says that Cactus Jack, put THE most important wrestler here in the WWF......Shawn Michaels......in great risk of not only injury.....but permanent disfigurement, when he crashed a steel chair over the head of the Champion.......FORTUNATELY.......Raven and his Flock were there to ensure the safety of the Champ........at least until "Little" Poppa Pump came out, overcompensating for his minuscule manhood by once again swinging that lead pipe around.........AGAIN, putting the Reason for the Rating's, Shawn Michaels in harms way........you've got Stone Cold Steve Austin coming out here, sticking his nose in matches, costing my Corporate Cannon the opportunity to become the very first WWF European Champion........well enough is enough........ ......firstly he tells Cactus that since he is so fond of fighting on the outside and using illegal objects to gain the advantage......then at Wrestlemania, that’s exactly what he’s going to have to do to survive........because not only is he going to be facing Raven......he’s going to be facing Raven in a falls count anywhere, anything goes.....Raven’s Rules match....... ......and Scott Steiner.....since he’s so fond of attacking people with that pipe of his.....and to ensure that he doesn’t go and get himself intentionally disqualified at Wrestlemania to save his Intercontinental Championship (because we all know that HBK is walking out of Mania a double champion) the Title vs. Title match, Shawn Michaels vs Scott Steiner, will also be no disqualification.......which means Steiner can’t take the easy way out.......of course, that also means that Shawn can’t be disqualified either........no matter WHO should happen to play a part in the match...... .......Vince pauses for a moment to let that throw away comment sink in.....the fact that he is basically admitting (while not in those exact terms) that we can expect to see Shawn Michaels using every dirty trick in the books, AS WELL as every wrestler on Mr. McMahons books, in his match against Steiner...... .......as for tonight, since Cactus Jack and Scott Steiner are such good friends all of a sudden, they will be teaming up in our main event......to face The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels.....and Raven........and to ensure that order is kept........we have The Flock "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/EbaCoZF.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/EbaCoZF.jpg"></a> It’s main event time now, and if we ever had more contradicting Tag Team partners before, then I can’t remember when......in fact, you could argue that Shawn Michaels and Scott Steiner (if you take away their obvious hatred of each other) would make better partners......while Raven and Cactus Jack’s unique move sets should make THEM the perfect pairing......but of course, this is the WWF.....and we all know by now that anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation........ .......Shawn Michaels may be playing nice with Raven and the Flock right now, but that’s only because it benefits him.....and the fact that he is having to team with the denim clad Raven......(who frankly looks like he needs a good bath)......clearly irritates him.....but then this IS the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels......everything irritates him..... ........we have a quick shot of the Flock, just to remind us that they are still sat ringside.....before the bell rings and these two “teams” explode, as Scott Steiner makes a beeline for Shawn Michaels.....and Cactus Jack and Raven pounce at each other like wild animals......it takes some time before the official is able to regain some semblance of control in the match, but eventually Michaels and Raven manage to isolate Scott Steiner and take control of the match.....and it’s an odd sight to see Cactus Jack stood idly on the ring apron desperate to get back into the match....... .........Michaels and Raven do actually work surprisingly well as a team.....and while Raven is known more for his hardcore brawling style of fighting, people forget that he DOES know how to wrestle when needed.....Shawn takes every opportunity going to taunt Big Poppa Pump, telling him that he should have been happy with the Intercontinental Title, because now he’s stuck his nose in the business of The Man.......and The Man is going to take that title too...... ........eventually the match breaks down (as they often do) and the action once again descends into a four way brawl.......which is when the Flock slowly, one by one, begin to climb over the guard rail.......Cactus sees them coming and drops to the floor, reaching underneath the ring where he pulls out Old Yeller, his barbed wire covered two by four......and with the officials attention distracted Raven slides into the ring with a steel chair. He spins Scott Steiner around and attempts to smash the weapon over his head, but Steiner blocks the shot, snatches the chair from his hands......and nails Raven in the gut, doubling him over.........Steiner raises the chair once more and turns to find Michaels......... ........which is when Shawn comes flying across the ring with some Sweet Chin Music......kicking the chair right into Big Poppa Pumps head........ .........Scotty drops the weapon, and he’s groggy, but he doesn’t go down.......at least until Raven delivers a brutal Evenflow DDT onto the fallen chair........Michaels makes the cover as Raven drags the official over to make the count......and three seconds later, Shawn Michaels has just pinned his Wrestlemania Challenger........and as Rick Rude points out, had this been the Title vs. Title match, we would be looking at a new Intercontinental Champion right here. for.......” and with Cactus wide open and helpless, Raven swings an almighty blow with the chair, nailing Jack so hard right between the eyes that he dents the steel.......and Cactus Jack collapses in a heap on the floor........ .........back inside the ring Shawn has been raining blows on his Wrestlemania opponent.....but now decides that enough is enough, and begins waving to the entrance way.....presumably for Brian Pillman, Lance Storm and “The Big Guy” (who you would have to assume is Kane)........bizarrely however, nobody shows.........and Michaels is getting more and more frustrated........until the video screen flickers to life.......... <img alt="iXAv5bk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iXAv5bk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" window of a door backstage.......eyes bugging out of his head because he can’t get out.......he can’t get out because Stone Cold Steve Austin has parked a huge yellow forklift truck right in front of the door, and is currently sat in the driver seat, staring Pillman in the face, screaming at him that ”.......I ain’t laid a damn finger on ya you stupid son of a b*tch.......but here’s two fingers ring, where Shawn Michaels is less than impressed...........until suddenly a blaze of fire erupts from the turnbuckles..........and now Michaels smiles........because The Big Red Monster is on his near Gorilla Position.......where we see Kane and The Undertaker slugging it out, working their way further into the building with each blow and away from the live action........ .......Michaels is furious now.......but he probably shouldn’t have been so distracted......because now Steiner is back to his feet.......Shawn catches sight of him rising and let’s fly with another Sweet Chin Music.......but Steiner blocks it, catches the foot........and then presses the Heartbreak Kid high over head......before walking him across the ring and hurling him over the top rope and down to the floor where he crashes into Raven and his Flock....... ........Scotty quickly grabs hold of his trusty lead pipe, and stands tall in the middle of the ring, swinging the weapon wildly at anyone stupid enough to try and get into the ring.....before Michaels has finally seen enough, grabbing his Championship from the time keeper and Sunny by the arm, dragging them both back to the locker room and out of harms way......embarrassed once more by Scott Steiner.......as the show comes to an end. The road to Wrestlemania is really heating up, and the boys put on a top notch performance this week from start to close.....the triple threat match, considering it involved the......”lesser” members of the respective teams let’s say......came off a lot better than I thought it would, especially when you consider that it was The Rock (who is easily at the bottom of the pecking order when it comes to those three) was the one to pick up the win...... ......I have to be honest, I had my concerns about the main event as well, especially considering the clashes of styles involved.....but I shouldn’t have been worried.....all three men worked their tails off......and Raven continued to prove that his recent push to the main event scene was deserved, by putting in the performance of the night...... .....Chris Jericho has really bulked up recently, he’s looking far more muscular than he was twelve months ago.....but then he’s young, twelve months ago he was still carrying a little bit of baby fat......now he’s looking more like a star than ever.....it won’t be long before he’s knocking on my door asking to headline another Pay Per View at this rate......that’s if I’m not knocking at his first...... .......Kane’s contract is up for renewal, and he’s had WCW knocking at his door already.....trying to compete with Turners massive cheque book is becoming somewhat of an irritation now......because I’ve had to offer the Big Red Machine a Big Green Pay rise in his new and improved contract offer.....I’m fairly confident that he’s going to stick with us (he wants to considering I’ve turned him from a jobbing Dentist to a god damn star) but until the ink is drying on that contract there is always a chance he will jump ship....... .......speaking of jumping ship......are we going to see the Horsemen ride again, this time in the WWF? We are just six days away from the biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania 13......and there is an excitement in the air.......an excitement that is soon turned into a chorus of boos.....because Vince McMahon makes his way down to the ring to open up the show, along with the WWF Champion Shawn Michaels, The Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman, and the Big Red Monster Kane. The foursome enter the ring and McMahon cuts right to the chase.....there’s no time to pander to the crowd, he’s got business to attend to, and that business is Scott Steiner......Vince says he’s humoured Steiner's little March to Wrestlemania so far.....he’s tolerated the vulgarity and profanities......he’s turned a blind eye to the toilet humour and penis jokes......but with only six days until his Title vs. Title match at Wrestlemania, he took things a step to far last week, picking Shawn Michaels up over his head and tossing him to the outside like a piece of garbage.......well tonight, it’s Scott Steiner that’s going to be tossed around......because he’s going to be going one on one with the Big Red Monster Kane......

.......Vince hands the microphone to a smirking Shawn Michaels, who tells Steiner not to worry about Kane too much though.......

”........because while he IS going to mess you up tonight........and he is.........he’s promised me that he’s gonna leave just enough of you to make it to Wrestlemania, where the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels is gonna take your title, and finish the job......because let’s face it, I’ve been the World Wrestling Federation Champion for one solid year now.......twelve months at the top of the mountain.....so do you really think that taking the Intercontinental Championship is going to pose ANY problem for the Showstopper? I don’t think so......”

.......Michaels goes on to say that Scott Steiner’s ONLY claim to fame in this business, is picking up a fluke victory over the Heartbreak Kid nine months ago at the King of the Ring........

”........and even THEN you were too dumb to read the fine print on the contract......now sure you’ve improved a little bit since then......you’ve bleached your hair......you’ve been.......taking your ‘vitamins’.......”Brother”.......you’ve even gone and got yourself a shiny new title.....but that’s where the fairy tail ends big boy.......”

.......Shawn says that for the last 365 days (give or take a day) he’s defeated everyone there is to beat.....from the Undertakers to the Marty Jannetty’s......with the odd King thrown in for good measure......and no one.....NO ONE......has been able to take this title from him.......and come Wrestlemania, he’s gonna be wearing one more shiny piece of gold.....Scott Steiner’s WWF Intercontinental Championship.....

.......Vince takes back the microphone to round up the promo, saying that come main event time, he, Brian Pillman......and the Heartbreak Kid himself will be sat right there at ringside.......

”......and before anyone gets any stupid ideas in their head, may I remind you all......especially you Austin......that if Stone Cold Steve Austin lays so much as ONE FINGER on Brian Pillman, that Wrestlemania match that he wants so badly......is off......so Austin, I suggest you remain in the back tonight, no matter WHAT goes down out here......”

European Championship: Semi-Final Match

It’s time for the first of tonight’s two Semi-Final matches, where the winner of each match will be heading to Wrestlemania to compete in the tournament final, where we will crown our very first, WWF European Champion......this match sees The British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, going up against the Bizarre One, Goldust.......Davey Boy eliminated Vince McMahons personal pick Brian Pillman to get here, while Goldust eliminated a less than 100% Marty Jannetty.....

.......with a spot on the Wrestlemania card on the line, both men went hard for this one....Goldust is arguably the better wrestler of the pair, but the Bulldog had the strength advantage.......and despite The Bizarre One’s best efforts, it was strength that came out on top tonight, as the Bulldog booked his spot in the tournament finals after a Running Powerslam.

With The British Bulldog heading into Wrestlemania to attempt to capture the WWF European Championship, that means that the entire Hart Foundation will be competing in Title matches at the biggest show of the year, because Bret and Owen will be looking to bring the WWF Tag Team Titles home to Canada as well.....of course that might be easier said than done, because not only do they have to defeat the KLiQ, but they have the Nation of Domination to contend with as well......

.......and speaking of the Nation, they are out in force next, as the entire group makes their way down to the ring. Faarooq takes the microphone and says that in just six days, the Nation of Domination are FINALLY going to get a little bit of recognition around here......because at Wrestlemania, not only is Scorpio going to walk out with the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship......because he is officially throwing his hat into the multi-man ladder match......but Faarooq and The Rock are finally going to put the ‘great white hope’ The Hart Foundation, out to pasture......as well as sticking it to the man, when they take those WWF Tag Team Titles away from the KLiQ......

”........because you can only hold a brother down for so long.....and The Nation of Domination has been held down, overlooked, segregated and been treated like second class citizens for too long around here.....we have won match after match.....our record speaks for itself, so much so that we SHOULD have been handed Title opportunity after Title opportunity.....instead we had to sit back and watch The Harts get embarrassed by the KLiQ, week in and week out......get defeated by The KLiQ week in and week out........and STILL get another shot at the gold a week later.......you know why? Because while ‘the man’ knows that the KLiQ can beat the Hart Foundation in their sleep, he knows damn well that the Nation would only need ONE shot.......and that one shot is happening in six days time.......”

Faarooq hands the microphone over to the Rock, slapping him on the back and instructing him to tell these morons what’s going to happen........

”........what’s going to happen, is the Nation of Domination.......The Rock and Faarooq......are going to show the world that the Nation don’t need ANYTHING handed to them.......unlike the Hart Foundation and The KLiQ......Bret and Owen Hart are supposed to be banned from competing for any titles held by the KLiQ.....this was SUPPOSED to be the Nations title shot....but since Scott Hall and Sean Waltman know full well that The Rock could kick their candy asses single handedly if he wanted, they went running back to their sugar daddy Vince McMahon, and got their little whipping boys added into the match to give them a chance of winning.....well The Rock says that The KLiQ and The Harts have about as much chance of walking out of Wrestlemania with those titles, as Justin Credible has of losing his virginity.....it’s just not gonna happen..........

.........three weeks ago the Nation beat the ever loving crap out of The Harts and Hall and Waltman......two weeks ago we beat them both fair and square in the middle of the ring.......and last week, last week the Rock single handedly took Owen Harts head and shoved it straight up Sean Waltman’s ass......tonight, Faarooq is going to do exactly the same thing to Bret Hart and Scott Hall.....granted, not with the same flair and excitement as The Rock, but the result will be the same.......just like the result will be the same at Wrestlemania, when The Rock.........and Farrooq, walk out the new WWF Tag Team Champions........”

......and with that the Nation raise their fists in unison, as we end the promo segment (surprisingly without any interruptions) and head to commercial.

Mark Canterbury makes a rare singles appearance now, as he goes one on one with one with Ahmed Johnson.....these two men will be facing off again in six days time, but under very different circumstances....as Canterbury will be joining forces with the rest of the Million Dollar Corporation, to go to war against Ahmed Johnson, The Legion of Doom.....and Psycho Sid......(all of whom are out at ringside tonight)....in an eight man street fight......tonight is no street fight however.....it's just two big, powerful men, stiffing the crap out of each other......until Ahmed finally puts his opponent away with an impressive (considering his opponents size) Pearl River Plunge.....a good win for Johnson with Wrestlemania right around the corner.

Psycho Sid and the LoD join Ahmed in the ring, while Johnson stands celebrating like he just won the Super Bowl......(calm down big man, you just beat Henry Godwin after all)......before he grabs a microphone and tells the Million Dollar Chumps to go ahead and climb between those ropes.....because we can start Wrestlemania right here and right now......

......in fairness to the Corporation, they do look as though they are formulating a plan of attack.....at least until DiBiase finally withdraws his troops, telling them to save it for Wrestlemania......that's when the big pay day is.......

.......Ahmed starts laughing at the sight of the Corporations retreat, claiming that it's the smartest thing those fools have done in a long time......he says that there ain't no Marc Mero's in this ring......he says everybody knows that Ahmed Johnson is a winner......and at Wrestlemania he's finally found himself a winning team, that WON'T let him down......

......with that Ahmed tosses the microphone to one side and resumes his rather overly-enthusiastic celebration, while Sid, Hawk and Animal exchange a look amongst themselves.....a look that Jim Ross puts into words for us, proclaiming that Ahmed appears to be very confident heading into Wrestlemania......almost to the point of being rather uncharacteristically cocky.

We leave Ahmed to his celebration and we head to the back, where Mr. Perfect is lacing up his boots ready for his upcoming match with Marc Mero......he straightens up and turns around, walking straight into Billy Gunn and Jesse James.....both men clap their Consultant (rather harder than necessary) on the shoulder, smiling at him and wishing him luck in his upcoming match......Perfect looks sceptical, stating that they appear to have changed their tune since last week......James says that he and Billy talked it over, and the way they see it.....is that if even their manager has a title, it'll only be a matter of time before they are granted a Tag Title shot.....

......Perfect looks less than pleased about Jesse James's thinly veiled insult.....Mr. Perfect is much more than just a manager after all....but Gunn and James smile even wider, before offering their hands to Perfect, telling him "no hard feelings?"....Perfect is hesitant, but finally shakes both men by the hand, telling them that if they don't mind, he has a spot in the European Championship finals to win......

......he turns away from the smiling pair and heads off for his match.....Gunn and James shout words of encouragement, at least until Perfect is out of sight and earshot.....then the fake smiles fade and the two men exchange a look that is far more serious.....almost as if they are formulating a plan of some description.....

European Championship: Semi-Final Match

We know that the winner of this match will be heading into Wrestlemania to compete for the newly minted WWF European Championship against The British Bulldog.....the question is, will it be Marc Mero or Mr. Perfect that is stood across the ring from Davey Boy Smith? Mero has had somewhat of a fire lit under him recently, following the less than complimentary things that Ahmed Johnson has had to say about him.....Perfect on the other hand has got to have the words and actions of his two wards running through his mind, following Gunn and James's declaration that Mr. Perfect is not so perfect when it comes to guiding the careers of others.....

.....when it comes to guiding his own career however, Perfect has no such problems, which is why despite Mero's best efforts, it's the former two time Intercontinental Champion who books his place in the European Title match at Wrestlemania, finishing off his opponent with the Perfect Plex.

Perfect picks up the victory, while Mero looks crestfallen as he heads to the back.....passing Billy Gunn and Jesse James at the entrance way, as the pair have made their way out onto the ramp. They stand at the top of the aisle with huge (obviously fake) smiles on their face, giving their Executive Consultant a rather slow and sarcastic round of applause, before Gunn shouts something along the lines of ".....well done.....absolutely perfect......" before proclaiming that it's nice that ONE of them will be going to Wrestlemania "......WE aren't.....but Mr. Perfect is, so that all that matters right Curt?...."

......which is when The Texas Long Riders music starts to play, as Barry Windham and Justin Bradshaw make their way out for their upcoming match with the Legion of Doom.....Windham pauses beside Gunn and James, telling them that they want to have a bit more damn respect around here.....to which the two men wiggle their fingers at him in mock fear, before laughing and walking to the back.....the Riders hit the ring and Windham congratulates Perfect on his victory, before we head to commercial as the live crowd awaits the arrival of the Legion of Doom.....

We come back from commercial to the instantly recognisable sounds of the Legion of Dooms music.....as Hawk and Animal come thundering down the aisle......The Road Warriors have a date city the Million Dollar Corporation at Wrestlemania.....a violent date, because they're going to be competing in an eight man street fight......the Long Riders on the other hand don't really have anything to do.....especially since Bradshaw (he would say inadvertently) cost Windham the opportunity to be competing for the World Wrestling Federation European Championship.....

......speaking of that, it only happened last week.....and there is still a little bit of tension between the two big Texans.....so much so that the two struggle to stay on the same page here....in fact Bradshaw doesn't particularly go out of his way to prevent the Doomsday Device that the Legion of Doom use to put Barry Windham away for the three count.

The Doomers head to the back with a good victory in the bag heading into Wrestlemania, while Bradshaw reluctantly helps his partner to his feet, reprimanding him for the loss at the same time........which is when Billy Gunn and Jesse James again appear on the entrance ramp.....they double over with laughter, slapping their knees and clutching at their sides....before straightening up and once again unleashing that long sarcastic round of applause, asking Windham ".....how's that respect feeling about now? Pretty painful right?......hey Bradshaw, you need a new partner man, this ones looking a little bit past his prime......" before breaking out in laughter again, slapping each other on the back and returning to the locker rooms, leaving Windham looking less that impressed......and Bradshaw struggling to repress a smirk.

From there we head over to Dok Hendrix in the back, who is standing by with the Hart Foundation ahead of Bret's triple threat match with Scott Hall and Faarooq next......it's your basic hype promo.....they say that Wrestlemania is going to be a night to remember for the Hart Foundation......because not only is Davey Boy Smith going to walk out, the first ever WWF European Champion, but Bret and Owen are going to kill two birds with one stone......when they finally shut the mouth of not only the KLiQ, but the Nation of Domination as well.....walking out as your brand new World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions......just like Bret Hart is going to walk out victorious tonight.

Last week it was the partners of tonight's competitors in action.....in what turned out to be a very good match.....it's safe to say however that this match here was even better, because Bret Hart, Scott Hall and Faarooq put on a great showing.....unlike last week there is nobody at ringside, because Gorilla Monsoon has decreed that Owen Hart, Sean Waltman.....and the ENTIRE Nation of Domination are barred from ringside.......which should have ensured we have free from interference.....this is the WWF however, and everyone knows that the KLiQ always have a backup plan......

........which is why the screwy ending should come as no surprise to anyone.....and after the Hitman moves out of the way of a charging Faarooq, (which sees The Nation leader crash with force between the turnbuckles and into the steel ring post, before rolling to the outside to recover) a fan tosses what appears to be a set of Brass Knuckles.....which Hall catches, before using them to lay the Hitman out cold.........and as the "fan" pulls down his hood to reveal that he is actually a bruised looking Justin Credible, Scott Hall makes the cover and picks up a great victory just six days before the KLiQ's epic showdown with the Nation and the Hart Foundation.

From there it's time for a meeting of the minds......and dark, twisted, depraved minds at that.....because Cactus Jack makes his way down to the ring......inviting Raven to join him......not to fight, because while Cactus would like nothing more than to carve a red path of gore through Raven's face, he's perfectly capable of waiting six days until Wrestlemania.....where he has carte blanche to unleash all manner of torture and torment.....

"......so please, join me.....because before I drag you through purgatory, I think it's important that you know why..........."

.......ask and you shall receive......because here is the man himself......not in person however.....no, instead the videoscreen flickers to life and we are treated to a shot of Raven.....the room is dark as always do it's difficult to determine where in the arena he actually is, but he obviously has something to say.......

".......'be careful what you wish for'......that seems to be some kind of mantra for you recently Mick......'be careful what you wish for'.......but the question is, are you talking to ME when you say that.....or are you talking to yourself? You see Mick, the cactus Jack I know would have no interest in talking.....the Cactus Jack I know, wouldn't be able to wait until Wrestlemania.....the Cactus Jack I know.....would take that barbed wire two by four of his and use it to inscribe his name upon my flesh.........see Mick, those who can control their passions and desires, do so because their passions and desires are weak enough to be controlled.....so I ask you again.....'be careful what you wish for'.......who exactly are you warning?.....

.......see Mick......and yes, I'm talking to Mick Foley.....because for all the bravado, all the warnings and threats.....that is NOT Cactus Jack in the ring there right now......THAT, is Mick Foley......husband......father.......provider.......THAT, is Mick Foley, desperately trying to hang on to his last thread of moral fibre.....but you're teetering on the edge of a cliff Mick......and really all I've got to do......is give you a little push........"

......Cactus shakes his head, telling Raven that he couldn't be more wrong.....he wanted the darkness.....he wanted the monster.....he wanted Cactus Jack......well Cactus Jack is what he's got......and at Wrestlemania.....when anything goes......he's going to see exactly what Cactus Jack, the King of the Deathmatch.....is all about.

......Raven chuckles at that.....telling Cactus that he's saying all the right things, but it's just that.....talk.......

"........Cactus Jack doesn't talk Mick.....he just does.......and he's there.....he's knocking at the door.....now you've barricaded that door shut pretty tight....but with each blow he's getting closer and closer to breaking through to the other side.....what's it going to take Mick.....for you to let him free......"

.......with that the camera abruptly pans back.....and we see that Raven doesn't appear to be in the arena at all.......in fact he's sat in what appears to be a front room......but the disturbing part, is he's not alone.........the Flock are gathered behind him in a semi circle, with an attractive blonde lady sat alone in a chair......there is a gag around her mouth.....and her mascara has left long black trails down her face where the tears have obviously run freely.......and when Cactus sees this, he absolutely explodes.....screaming at the top of his lungs that Raven has taken this too far......but Raven cuts him off........

"........see this right here.....this is Collette Foley......and sleeping just down the hall there, we have Dewey Foley and Noelle Foley.......and this blissful little suburban slice of paradise, is exactly why YOU are not Cactus Jack.........YOU are Mick Foley......and I DO NOT WANT YOU.......WHAT ABOUT ME MICK? WHAT ABOUT RAVEN?.......

.......this is what you're trying to hold on to? THIS? I offer you immortality and you choose mediocrity? You choose normality? So predictable........so disappointing......so dull........monsters don't have wives......they don't have children......they don't get to have a happily ever after........all this......it can disappear with a click of the finger.......and then......then I wonder.....who will be walking into Wrestlemania.......Mick Foley? Or Cactus Jack.........'be careful what you wish for'........because Mick, you might just find that Jack......is only one heartbreak away........Quote the Raven.......Nevermore........"

........with that Raven begins cackling maniacally, before standing to his feet and walking towards Collette......just as the screen fades to black......

There is silence for a moment.....as Cactus drops to his knees in the ring, and Jim Ross apologises to everyone at home for that rather disturbing display by Raven, stating that neither he, nor the WWF as a whole condone that kind of behaviour......in the meantime a number of backstage workers have hit the ring, presumably to escort Cactus backstage, where you would hope a car would be waiting to get him home as quickly as possible.......in the blink of an eye however, Cactus goes from passive, to anything but......as he lets out an animalistic scream.....before absolutely decimating the men in the ring with him........before dragging one poor worker to the outside.....where he piledrives him on the floor......not content however, he reaches under the ring......and there is Old Yeller.......Cactus takes the two by four and stares at it for a moment........before finally taking it, and gouging it into the head of the already injured worker.......there are screams......both from the worker AND from Jack, as blood spills down the arm of Cactus......before it finally ends.....as suddenly as it started......and Cactus gets to his feet with a wild look in his eyes.....and storms to the back........it looks like Mick Foley has left the building......I think Cactus Jack is in the driving seat now......and that could spell the end for Raven.......

After that rather disturbing turn of events we are treated to an extended hype package for Wrestlemania, to give everybody time to clear the ring area......then, just as promised, Vince McMahon, Shawn Michaels and The Corporate Cannon Brian Pillman make their way out, where Vince and Shawn join Jim Ross and Rick Rude at the announce table, while Pillman just sort of does what Brian Pillman does best.....and that's hop around like a madman, antagonising fans and generally being an obnoxious p*ick......

......the two men involved in this main event, Scott Steiner and Kane, make their entrances....and as McMahon and Michaels proceed to run Big Poppa Pump down throughout the match, this one gets underway.....we have already had one very, very good match tonight, which saw Scott Hall pick up a victory in the triple threat match.....and right here we have another very, very good match.....since breaking away from the Tag Team ranks, Scott Steiner has really found his niche as a singles wrestler....and with the calibre of wrestler that Steiner has been competing with in the last nine months, it's no real surprise that he has improved in leaps and bounds.....he may have been a tag team specialist before, but he's found a new level of psychology as of late that means he really knows how to carry a match......

.......and that certainly helps here, because Kane, while no rookie, certainly doesn't have the ring awareness that Steiner now possesses, not that you would know it with the performance that these two big men put on. Steiner certainly needs all of his ample strength to stand a chance here, because make no mistake, this is a blatant attempt by Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels, to wear the man down just six days before the biggest match of his career.....and wear Steiner down Kane does, putting a punishment on Big Poppa Pump like no one else has been able to......and any time Scotty manages to pull himself back into the match, Pillman is there to cut that off before it begins......in fact, Scott looks to be in deep, deep trouble..........

....::::!!!!GONG!!!!::::....

.......until the lights go out.......

.........and the Undertaker makes his slow walk out onto the entrance way......he comes to a halt at the top of the aisle, staring a hole through his baby brother Kane......before slowly running a finger across his throat.....and then dropping down to one knee, inviting his brother to come and get him......

........much to the dismay of Michaels, Kane does exactly that......dropping to the floor and slowly stalking his way up the aisle-way towards the Deadman......so slowly in fact, that the official counts to ten before he even gets there......and this one is all over.

As soon as Kane and The Undertaker come within arms reach of each other (much like last week) they begin hammering blows on to one another, battling their way backwards through the entrance way and deep into the building........unfortunately for Steiner, that still leaves Shawn Michaels and Brian a Pillman at ringside.....and both men storm the ring as one.......Steiner does his best to fight them off.....but these aren't two ham and eggers.....these are two of the best wrestlers alive today....(ok that's a bit of a stretch, but they are my number one and number three Franchise players, so it's maybe not that much of a stretch)......the two men eventually overcome the Intercontinental Champion.....before Pillman holds Scotty in place for a picture perfect Sweet Chin Music by the Champ......before Michaels mounts his Wrestlemania opponent, raining blow after blow on the helpless Steiner......

......HBK drops to the outside, where he picks up Steiner's Intercontinental Championship....he instructs Pillman to hold Big Poppa Pump in place, before grinding Scott's own Championship in his face.....telling him that he should have kept to his own level....because now Shawn's going to take this from him too......Shawn backs up and takes a firm grip on the Intercontinental Title, and it looks like he is about to take Steiner's head off with it..........

....::::!!!!GLASS SHATTERS!!!!::::....

........when Stone Cold Steve Austin comes marching down to the ring.....the crowd absolutely erupts as Austin looks to make the save......but quite how he is going to do that when he can't lay so much as a finger on Brian Pillman is anyone's guess........and Michaels uses that to his advantage......putting himself and Steiner behind Pillman, who gives Austin a taste of his own medicine with the double bird.........

......that infuriates Stone Cold.....and it looks as though Austin is about to smack the taste out of Brian Pillman's mouth........at least until Vince McMahon picks up a microphone to announce that......

"..........I told you Austin......you lay so much as one finger on Brian Pillman before that bell rings to signal the start of your match at Wrestlemania, then that match is off........so right now......as far as you are concerned.....Brian Pillman is untouchable........"

......Pillman is being about as obnoxious as humanly possible here, shoving his chin towards Austin, begging.....begging his former partner to go ahead and take a swing......and Austin looks seriously tempted......but Vince hasn't finished......declaring that........

"........but while you can NOT lay one finger on Brian Pillman........I never said that Brian Pillman couldn't touch YOU........"

........and Pillman strikes.......beating the holy hell out of Stone Cold Steve Austin.......and with Scott Steiner down and seemingly out, The Heartbreak Kid soon joins Pillman.....and after taking care of Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania opponent, they now do the same to The Corporate Cannon's.......and since it's hard to stop a two on one beating when you can't even touch one of your attackers, it's not long before Steve Austin joins Scott Steiner......a battered and beaten stain on the mat........and as Shawn Michaels raises both the WWF and the Intercontinental Championship high in the air, Brian Pillman grabs a couple of beers from ringside.....mocking the fallen Austin as he and Michaels toast each other.......before pouring the amber liquid over their respective opponents, in one final humiliation, just six nights before the biggest event of the year........
