Agreed, although you have to remember this is still the twenties, so no company has yet really gained popularity beyond their core region.

I'd have to check but think JCW are National at this time as are SPW in the US.

Japanese radio broadcasters seem more interested in covering wrestling than in other countries at this time.

I think once we get to the 1960's we should see TV start to change the dynamics but I could be wrong as not there yet!

All i did was import workers, locations, companies and broadcasters etc into it from C-verse tverse and real world mods in order to increase the randomness as we move through time. Aim is to get to the 1980's and i should have a totally unique game world to jump into with a detailed back story to the world.

Glad so many find it interesting so far, trying to pace the posts !

1936 passing of a legend

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d46/stuartmwilson/tew/New%20World/1936_zpsrlb3djni.jpg

Although JCW still appear to be dominating it must be noted they have not exceeded Regional/Cult yet at this point and most others are Regional in size.

Therefore most workers are only known in the area in which they work at present.

1936 saw the loss of SPW Owner Don Loomis at the age of 71, a divisive figure in the wrestling industry none would oppose his importance to the growth of pro wrestling over the last 16 years.

Don Loomis the death of a legend

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d46/stuartmwilson/tew/New%20World/Don%20Loomis_zpsyordd63v.jpg

Arguably the founder of modern wrestling as we know it. Don founded the first true professional wrestling company Southern Pro Wrestling (SPW).

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d46/stuartmwilson/tew/New%20World/SPW_alt2_zpssk07nmvm.jpg

From 1927 till 1930 he was also involved with CWB

Frank Norris who has taken over at the helm of SPW famously fell out with Don back in 1922 but both men appear to have put their past behind them shortly before his death.

Don never got in the ring himself and kept to a strictly backstage role at all times.

Many criticised the apparent decline in SPW against many of the newer competition as they struggled to keep hold of their best workers and to reach outside of their Regional level.

Don in one of his final interviews said he was happy with where SPW are in the world and believes there is a solid foundation in place to drive on with sustained growth in the future.

We morn the passing of a Legend regardless of his perceived faults or failures.

1941 The end of the road for PWC?

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d46/stuartmwilson/tew/New%20World/1941_zpsffrxdpvv.jpg

With the land of the rising sun still producing arguably the best wrestling in the world today, will we see anyone rise to challenge domestically or any rivals abroad close the gap any time soon?

Industry News

Well one company unlikely to do so are PWC! Phoenix Wrestling Company from the Tri-States area of USA.

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d46/stuartmwilson/tew/New%20World/PWC_zpszw87ncer.jpg

Opened their doors in 1936 and unfortunately have been forced to close this year, however Emilio Torres current CEO of PWC tells us exclusively that he hopes this is not the end. "give me 12 -24 months and I hope you will see PWC live again, we have a great set of fans here and they deserve to see us rise from the ashes".

Another Company which looked to go under was British Professional Wrestling BPW. With Vincent Koumpis taking over from previous CEO Beatrice Poundstone.

UWA & CWB are now hostile with each other

PWMAX & SPW are also Hostile

CWB & PWC Hostile

UWA & PWC hostile

SPW & PWC hostile

It is believed the breakdown in relationships between PWC and many of its competitors directly led to it closing its doors this year.

ELPF & MHW both rose to Regional size this year

It is rumoured the KANZEN CEO Ryan Flores has been removed for poor performance and replaced by Darren Langworth. Ryan would have a brief couple of months with PWC before they closed.

Retired

Vega Velasco was inducted into the JJC hall of fame this year following her retirement aged 38.
