Solid offseason for us as we were able to retain JJ and Miles while preserving our capspace for next year.

Next year, we should be able to make some big moves in free agency,

but I like Nash coming off of the bench for the team. He'll be a secondary playmaker besides Wade and we were able to get him for the minimum!

It wasn't an easy road for Dwyane Wade and his Heat- the last 5 years since their infamous 2006 title win have been a rocky road, full of disappointments. It has been 5 years of failed playoff runs, first round exits, and injuries. For Wade, it is the culmination of a brilliant season, as he becomes one of the few players in the history of the sport to ever win the regular season MVP and the finals MVP in the same year. For Kevin Garnett, a former MVP, he finally shuts down the narrative of not being able to win- He is a champion. Throughout the playoffs, the Heat had to work together to close out many close games, and at the same time, many spectacular performances led the way for Miami to win their second title in ten years, none more iconic than Dwyane Wade's 45 point game in game 6 of the NBA finals, the closeout game of the series. Wade had many more incredible games throughout the playoffs, including a crucial game 2 in the first round against Indiana, where he scored 58 points and allowed Miami to pull out a close win in OT; a game which was much more crucial than anyone could have predicted. Andrea Bargnani was also a difference maker, arguably the second best player on the court for Miami. Throughout the playoffs, he averaged 18 points per game while shooting a scorching 50 percent from downtown. Along with Wade, he led the Heat to their victory in game 6 of the Finals, putting up 24 points and 7 rebounds. With the past few years being filled with ups and downs for Wade, the end result, the championship ring, is so much sweeter.

And of course....awesome to see the Love for the Glove spread to this dynasty!!</div></blockquote> Yeah, I wasn't entirely sure about making this trade either at the time- Miles is still very young and has potential as he averaged 16ppg in Indiana, but he just wasn't very good for me. He was shooting high 30s from the field and just 25% from 3! It was mainly to try and clear cap space for a major signing to try and push us to a new level (didn't think we were gonna win it all when I made the trade <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) but his play also had a lot to do with it. Yeah, Nash is oneof my all time favorites, wish he could have won IRL. Love for the Glove is everywhere

I was a bit worried about the team at the beginning of the season- the Heat started off with a 11-11 record, and I thought we would be struggling, once again, to make the playoffs. However, the team quickly switched into another gear, with seven and nine game win streaks coming not much after that poor start. We went 51-9 the rest of the way, our elite defense leading the team as the Heat captured the best record in the league, and home court advantage in the playoffs, with a 62-20 record. For the first time in many years, there were no weaknesses on the team- our bench would no longer be a negative on the floor as they extended leads in games. Andrea Bargnani proved that his crucial play in last year's playoffs was not a fluke, as he averaged 19ppg on outstanding efficiency, earning him the Most Improved Player Award.

For the first time in many years, the Miami Heat were not the underdogs coming into the playoffs. Holding the best record in the NBA and coming off of a championship last year, the defending champs sought to show all the 29 other teams in the league that they were the top dogs, and would not grow lazy after their success the previous season. However, that did not mean that the path was easy- Three of the four series came down to seven games for the Heat, and perhaps their title experience was what allowed them to continue on. In the NBA finals, the Heat met their biggest challenge of the last two seasons. They faced the Denver Nuggets, a team with three all stars, who had finally clicked after a few underwhelming seasons. With Denver's Big Three averaging over a combined 60 points per game, their firepower would be tough to match, but Miami found a way through their players stepping up, as well as a bit of luck, with all star JJ Redick injuring himself in game 4 and missing the remainder of the series. In game 7, the Heat's two leading scorers Wade and Bargnani combined for over 50 points to win the title, with Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony answering back with 37 points points and Chris Paul delivering with a triple double himself.

I signed him to be just an extra scoring punch off the bench for that playoff run, I had no idea he would be this good. He is a great second option, and is even better than D Rose at this point. He's only 25 as well, so Bargnani has plenty of room to improve
