  1. AEW Dynamite #1 January 6, 2010 (Live) Location: The (former) Impact Zone in Orlando, FL Attendance: 1400 (SELL OUT!) TV Rating: 0.40 Overall Rating: 60
  2. On the screen, on a brand-new channel, all of a sudden, the test pattern gave way to the logo for AEW Plus… ….and then there was a video entrance before the title of the show came up: AEW eXplored: Chapter 1, Part I: Old glory…. [The set of the show was simple with a stand-up podium with a screen behind it, and then also a sit down area with a couple of chairs for some close up interviews. Out from the back comes the host of this season of the show, “The Professor” Mike Tenay.] Hello everyone, and if you are watching this live then it means you are witnessing history as AEW hits the waves on our very own channel. Not only do you get all the archives of this companies history with AEW+, but you are also going to have access to our streaming channel. Here you will be able to watch shows that look back at our history, watch daily news specials looking at all that is new in the wonderful world of wrestling, but also watch live Podcast specials featuring myself, Taz and a host of others in the weeks to come. Now some may wonder why this show is beginning in January 2010 with the change in name to AEW, as opposed to our beginning in 2002 as NWA: TNA. The good news is that there will be more shows coming that will look at all aspects of our history, but none of us would be here if not for the events of late 2009, early 2010 when we were purchased by this man. Let’s have a look at the early life of one, Jack Tunney IV. {From there Jack Tunney appeared on the screen and spoke about the first time he actually went to see a wrestling event live as a six-year-old in Calgary. The main event was a stretcher match between Hulk Hogan and Earthquake, but it was the WWF Tag Team Championship batch between the Hart Foundation and Power and Glory that really caught his eye. A few years later it was a WWF championship match between Bret and Owen Hart that would cement me as a fan of these great Canadian wrestlers. In 1997, JTIV followed Bret from WWF to WCW and quickly became a fan of their product, preferring the wrestling style of workers like Hart, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, and the Cruiserweights over anything on any of the other wrestling shows that Tunney had sought out. As tape trading was becoming more popular Tunney was able to collect tapes from all sorts of promotions: the Flair/Steamboat Trilogy, matches from NJPW that included Lyger, Pegasus Kid, Black Tiger as well as some of the amazing matches that came out of AJPW.} After the videos ended it was back to the set where Mike Tenay was now seated in a chair across from Jack Tunney IV who had been watching the videos on the screen set up behid the chairs, and let out a bit of a bemused chuckle. JTIV: Wow, who’s that guy they are talking about eh? MT: Well that is actually someone a lot of our fans do not know a lot about, so thank you very much for taking this time to actually let us talk about you a little bit. JTIV: You’re right Mike, I have no intention of ever being one of those owners who has to be all over their product. Our talent is who the fans actually care about, and that is who they are going to get. So hopefully we can move on to start talking about them pretty quick. MT: I get the hint, and we will definitely start talking about the talent soon enough, but there are a few questions that I do want to ask about yourself if you don’t mind. JTIV: Sure, but before you ask….no, no matter what the magazines say, Jennifer Aniston will not be leaving fellow JT, Justin Theroux to hook up with me at the Tunney residence, much to my eternal sadness! MT: No, no, I wasn’t even going to go anywhere near that rumour. I think that the fans are more interested in the rumour that you tried to buy WCW back from Vince McMahon and WWE? JTIV: Yeah, okay that rumour I am willing to address, and it is sort of true. A few years ago, I came in contact with WWE on the production side as they were making the transition to HD and acted as sort of a technical advisor after I had been working with HD for so long in a few of my companies. Using that initial introduction, I figured I would roll the dice and attempted to get in contact with Mr McMahon in order to purchase some of the assets they had acquired with the purchase of WCW back in 2001. I was not aiming to get all the copyrights, or outright purchase the company back, but was trying to get the name as well as the title belts back so that I could look at possibly starting fresh. MT: I take it that did not go over very well? JTIV: To be honest, I’m not sure if the first offer was even brought to his attention. It was mostly done through attorneys and was quickly denied. MT: That was the first offer? JTIV: Yeah, I tried again a couple of times. The second time around I doubled my initial offer which I think got a bit more attention, but was also denied. Finally, I went back a third time after drumming up some investors and really put forward what I thought was a solid offer. Again, I don’t know if it was enough to come across the desk of Vince McMahon himself, if I learned one thing from this experience it is how bureaucratic they are there in Stamford, but it caught the attention of someone in the industry. The relationships that came out of that are what brought me to this point, including that gentlemen who showed up in the first speaking segment on the inaugural Dynamite. MT: Before we get to that, I just wanted to remind folks that immediately following this program if you are watching us live, there will be a repeat of that first episode of Dynamite from January 6, 2010. Prior to watching it though, I strongly recommend that you check out the AEW website. There under the AEW+ section you will find a link to resources, and in there you are going to find scanned copies of the booking sheets that you hand created, isn’t that right? JTIV: Absolutely, if the fans are interested in really understanding what goes behind each week’s show, I strongly encourage looking online. As some may know I keep records of everything, and thus far we have been able to release a few books looking at AEW through the years. But this will be the first time that each week’s notes will be available to look at. This isn’t just the typed-up notes that would be available to whomever needed them, this is my actual copy where I hand-wrote any notes that came to me from the Agents, wrestlers, fans, or picked up myself. You will really be able to get inside my head, as scary at that sounds now that I say it out loud. MT: Now that we have that out of the way, lets go back to that transition from trying to buy WCW to making the commitment to purchase TNA as it was known at the time. JTIV: So as I mentioned, I had gotten some investors and had made enough of a noise that my name was now out there in the summer of 2009. Initially I looked into purchasing the NWA as I figured if I couldn’t get the Big Gold Belt, at least I could go after its processor the 10 lbs of Gold. But when I was doing my due diligence, I was amazed by just how confusing everything was there in regards to who owned what, and I just wasn’t sure that I wanted to get into that. With that said I was very happy when Billy Corgan stepped up and took over, and I wish them all the best. MT: With the NWA out as an option, did you look anywhere else? JTIV: Up next was looking at ROH and possibly joining them, but they were going through their own backstage drama that of course would end up in Gabe leaving them and the formation of EVOLVE, which of course is a story we will have to talk a bit more about at some point. MT: Absolutely, their role in developing talents for AEW cannot be overlooked, and I know that their success would not have been possible without some of your help, and even the work of Dixie Carter so we shall return to them. I take it that this was around the time that representatives of Bob Carter and Panda Energy reached out to you? JTIV: Yeah, this would have been the fall of 2009, around September and October when things started to move really quickly. MT: There are of course two sides to this story, your side as well as the side that involves Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff and wrestling Legend, Hulk Hogan. JTIV: Are we really going to go there? I’m not sure if I am even legally able to talk about all that. MT: I know you’re joking, but for the fans who are not aware, there is no controversy here as we did make sure we cleared everything we’re going to talk about in regards to them through legal. JTIV: Hey, kayfabe Mike! MT: Sorry, just need to make sure we got that legal disclaimer out there so you don’t get sued….again. JTIV: Well thank you for that, and yes, there is a bit of a story to be told there. And I’m not sure I truly can tell the whole story, but I will do my best. While I was dealing directly with Robert Carter and his team, Dixie had reached out to a few names. Initial attempts to contact Paul Heyman were rebuffed, and we know why that was. So next she went after Hogan and Bischoff. My understanding from what I know is that originally their big plan was to sort of reboot everything that happened at the end of 2009 and go head to head against WWE Monday Night Raw, live beginning on January 4. MT: Of course the details of how far things had gotten are still very much up to debate. JTIV: Yeah for sure, and I really don’t want to get into that. But suffice to say that did not happen, as instead Carter and Panda Energy ended up selling to my corporation at the time named Dynamite IV TV Productions LLC. MT: My understanding is that this sale included everything? JTIV: Yeah, all the debt, and well as all the assets of TNA Entertainment was sold to my LLC, with Panda maintaining a 5% ownership stake initially. This was done in a way to appease Dixie, as well as the corporation position that she was guaranteed with the company for at least five years after the finalization of the sale. MT: Which of course is where things get complicated, as my understanding is that Dixie was unaware of all of these dealings. JTIV: Well and here is the part that sometimes people forget, this was a multimillion-dollar deal that could fall apart at any moment if things did not go exactly according to our agreed upon rules. For this reason it was mostly dealt with between lawyers, with the final approval on the detail coming directly from myself and Robert Carter only a few hours before things were announced publicly. MT: Yes, but that announcement also only came a few days prior to Dixie Carter was sent to make the announcement at Madison Square Garden. JTIV: That’s what I have heard, yes. MT: You were unable to commit to signing Bischoff and Hogan though, and my understanding is that this all created some bad blood for you? JTIV: Let’s just say that we don’t exchange greeting cards at Christmas. MT: But Hogan and Bischoff are two very well-known names in this industry. With Bischoff showing he had a history of beating Vince McMahon and the WWF at their own game, why didn’t you want them involved? JTIV: Well from an organizational standpoint I already had a great staff, and I wanted some different creative ideas going forward. That’s why I brought in guys like Don Callis and Court Bauer as part of the booking team to provide some different, and hopefully fresh, ideas. It was nothing against Bischoff and Hogan who I believe are great talents, but the 90s were done and I wanted new. And I’m pretty sure that Bischoff and Hogan did pretty well for themselves going forward. MT: That they did, and for that matter so did Bret Hart. When the rumours first came out about Impact moving to Monday Night on January 4 with Hogan and Bischoff, it did not take long for WWE to counter that by mending fences with Bret Hart. Possibly the biggest bullet they could ever have in their arsenal. Of course, things did not end up going quite the way they expected with AEW Dynamite actually making its debut on Wednesday, January 6. Are you willing to talk about that a bit? JTIV: Well as I think the videos made pretty clear, Bret Hart has always been one of my favourite wrestlers. So, while I was sad, I was unable to have him join my company right away, I was happy for him that he seemed to finally put some of the bitterness behind him, get some closure, and reunite with the company that had meant so much to him. As for WWE using him as a weapon to try and take our ratings….well there may be more then one reason we waited so long to make the official announcement of the switchover in ownership, the change in name, night and direction. MT: Well and that whole thing was done very subtlety on Impact as 2009 ended. I mean there was even acknowledgement on the show with Mick Foley and Kevin Nash about Hogan and Bischoff, although in subtle ways. And then the very brief cards that came up at the end of each episode, like this one…. JTIV: Yeah, we were really trying to build to something different without giving away too much. MT: Alright, well with all the build up out of the way, shall we talk about that first episode of Dynamite? JTIV: I remember it like it was yesterday…..starting with the four way match to determine the challenger for the X-Division Championship….
  3. Coming soon..... ~History Rewritten...Long Live the Alternative~
  4. Having followed some of your previous dynasty efforts, the moment I saw your name and AEW I was excited.....opening it up, and I am not disappointed.....your graphic work is fantastic, and looking forward to where you take this!
  5. Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your hard work...both on the mod and the skin (which I love)! One thing I did notice was that AEW does not have a deal with TSN2 for AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite which they should have.
  6. I do not want to be one of those people who is pesky about updates...but now that the full version of the game is out I just wanted to inquire as to whether or not this mod will still be converted over? I'm really itching to start a diary using this Mod as its base so please accept my apologies for asking....just very excited to play around in the new game! Thank you very much for your hard work!

  11. Always awesome to see any dynasty in this forum, but I'm pretty excited about this one as the Bulls are such a fun powerhouse team to work with. And having that first round pick thanks to those incredibly sucky Clippers should be interesting as there are some great names available in the next draft!

  13. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">In Summary</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Victory Road thoughts:</p><p> </p><p> -It may seem crazy to set up a big match like the three way between Drake, Fenix and Moose as a part of the PPV pre-show but we want to continue to make the pre-show important as a way to drive people's interest in the Global Wrestling Network. The match itself I thought was enjoyable and should help propel forward some big plans that I have for all three men in the match.</p><p> </p><p> -Back in July at San Diego Comic-Con I had made the announcement that an NJPW wrestler would be appearing at Bound For Glory....I don't think anyone thought it would be the amazing Okada judging from the loud reaction that was heard when the video appeared on screen announcing it. Should help to make BFG just that much more special I hope.</p><p> </p><p> -Teddy and Storm had a decent match back at Cage Unleashed, but they really stepped up tonight with Teddy evening the score.....I don't think it is much of a surprise that a third match will be coming, but maybe not as quickly as people think.....</p><p> </p><p> -I know that it is going to be a bit of a project to get Banks and Brookes over, but that is why we wanted them to work with two great workers and it worked out perfectly that Shelley and Sabin were available to leave ROH and join us. I have high hopes for the future of #CGK.</p><p> </p><p> -Chaos was all I was looking for in the hardcore match between Jacobs and Callihan, and that was exactly what we got. Have something planned for them at BFG, although if rumours are true, that may change. </p><p> </p><p> -It's an old wrestling tradition that you go out on your back, and I figured RVD understood that and why we wanted him to 'pass the torch' to Will Ospreay, but then I heard he was complaining about losing to Will which really ticked me off. When I spoke to him he denied it, but he should probably chill out.</p><p> </p><p> -Swann and Lee had a fun match that I was hoping for and I'm glad that we have managed to get the former ACH on the roster where I have high hopes for him.</p><p> </p><p> -The goal is for a slow burn on the feud between Edwards and Impact, hence why we didn't want an actual match for them tonight, and decided to try a different sort of thing harking back to some of the stuff that the Hardy's ran as part of their 'Total Deletion' days. I don't think things came off quite as good as I had hoped, but again, this should only be the beginning.</p><p> </p><p> -I could not be prouder of our Knockout's division and I felt the tag team match between 4ever and Klein/Dashwood was a good example of what these performers can do when given the chance. 2019 is going to be huge for the Knockout's I think.</p><p> </p><p> -The lucha match between Caristico and El Hijo del Fantasma helps continue a storyline that while maybe not the most important thing going on, will lead to some important things by the end of the year if everything goes to plan.</p><p> </p><p> -Hopefully the fans will now believe Konnna when he says he is backing Ortiz and Santana only, which will hopefully lead to some more heat for their matches because things are not clicking the way I had hoped they would right now.</p><p> </p><p> -The X-Division title match did not get the time I had hoped for, but I still think both men delivered. Now it will be time for Ospreay to step up and follow that with a title match at Bound For Glory that may just determine the whole direction of the X-Division going forward.</p><p> </p><p> -I wanted to make sure that everyone understood Taya was not afraid of Su Yung, so that when Su Yung did manage to defeat her it helped build both of them up which I think is what happened. I hope it's what happened.</p><p> </p><p> -Some people may have been surprised by the sudden tag team title change, but it was always the plan to push Riddle and Cobb right away. At the same time though Z & E was done as a team, and Champions, as soon as Andrew Everett decided he wanted to sign with Lucha Underground over us. So this was his final appearance for Impact Wrestling, and that is why he suffered the defeat. I feel bad for Zema Ion though....I've got some plans for him, but it seems everytime he starts gaining any sort of momentum something causes it to stall out.</p><p> </p><p> -Bennett and Daye continue to plug along, although something seems to be missing from the package....I just can't quite put my finger on what it is....</p><p> </p><p> -I wanted to make sure that the match between Cody and Rey was not based around shenanigans but rather just a match where the talent of the two could shine. Unfortunately time has slowed Rey down and this was not the match I hoped it was going to be, but it did set up our Bound For Glory Main Event with the NWA World Champion and ROH Superstar Cody going off against our Champion. Speaking of which....</p><p> </p><p> -Four of the best five matches of the year have featured Pentagon Jr. He has been everything I had hoped for as Champion and this match was exactly what I had hoped for. I know some people on the internet have been mocking us for only having 'one' ladder, but the truth is we wanted Pentagon and Aries to do something different with this ladder match. It was meant to hearken back to the old days, where it was about the psychology of trying to prevent someone from climbing the ladder as opposed to 'big spots' and judging from the crowd reaction, and the reaction from the boys in the back I would say they delivered in spades.</p><p> </p><p> -Overall I was happy with this show, although there was way too many matches which threw off the timing of the show I'm afraid. A focus going forward is going to be on lowering the amount of matches on the main show, but I do think that each of the matches at least served to advance a story.</p><p> </p><p> ***************************************</p><p> </p><p> The month of September 2018 in wrestling....</p><p> </p><p> All In was of course the biggest news of the month with the implications thereof having possible landscape altering ramifications, but that is for another day.</p><p> </p><p> Tragically the life of Tomahawk TT came to an end at only 28 years after he fell into an open vat of liquid nitrogen. He will be missed.</p><p> </p><p> A few big veteran retirements this month with Jim Duggan, Rikishi, Big Vito, former Knockout's Champion Angel Williams, and Dory Funk Jr all retiring.</p><p> </p><p> At a company level the big news of the month had to be the WWE ending their brand extension with all wrestlers from all brands now being able to appear on any show. Seems like that could get messy....</p><p> </p><p> ********************************</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Nobby_McDonald" data-cite="Nobby_McDonald" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45597" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Congratulations on having a baby boy.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thank you very much....one boy, one girl...I'm done haha</p>

The two wrestlers went back and forth while Drake was outside of the ring, but after a few minutes of fighting each other Moose picked Fénix up….and tossed him over the top rope to the outside and down on Drake. Fénix brought Drake back into the ring and now he was the subject of move after move by both Moose and Fénix. The finish of the match saw Fénix come off of the top rope, just to get caught by Moose and dropped with a Go To Hell. At one point Brandi did attempt to get involve, which allowed a distraction that Cody tried to use by taking the knee brace of Rey off and nailing him in the head. Instead Rey responded with a drop toe hold that dropped Cody across the ropes and set up a 619. But the 619 only served to do more damage to the knee of Rey Mysterio and by the time he got a pin fall on it was only enough for a two count. From there Cody worked on the knee some more with an Inverted Indian Deathlock, and then a Figure Four but Rey managed to get the ropes both times. Both men stood in the ring, face to face, and then slowly began to look skyward where the Impact Wrestling World Championship belt hang in the air. Austin Aries took advantage of the momentary distraction with a kick aimed low on Pentagon Jr that dropped the Champion to the mat. Aries tried to get out of the ring to go and get to the ladder, but desperately Pentagon Jr managed to launch and grab Aries by the ankle to keep him from going anywhere. Climbing back into the ring Aries tried to shake his leg free, but instead Pentagon Jr pulled him to the mat and tried to lock in his inverted arm breaker. Aries pulled himself to the ropes, and then pulled himself under the ropes and used gravity to pull Pentagon Jr out of the ring with him. Out there Pentagon continued to be on attack, pulling Aries up and throwing him into the steel steps. The Champion rolled Aries back into the ring, and then went to the top turnbuckle where he came off of the top with a double stomp to the back of Austin Aries. Pentagon Jr looked to follow that up with a Fear Factor package piledriver, but Aries fought against the move. The struggle went on for a few moments, before Aries managed to sent Pentagon Jr over the top rope where he landed on his feet. Fists were flying between the two men as Aries tried to knock Pentagon Jr off of the ring apron, but Pentagon Jr would not go down. A Discus Fivearm was enough to drop Pentagon Jr off of the ring apron to the floor, which set up a Suicide dive under the middle rope that dropped both men. </p><p> </p><p> As both men came to their feet it was Pentagon Jr who managed to react with a Superkick that dropped Aries back down to the floor. Pulling his challenger back up, Pentagon Jr rolled him back into the ring and then came into the ring with a Lung blower that set up the inverted arm breaker once more. Aries rolled forward out of the hold and then as both men came up, he managed get a kick to the gut that set up a Brainbuster! That left Pentagon in the perfect position for a Laster Chancery that Aries used to wear the Champion down a bit more to allow him to go and get the ladder. As Aries left the ring and made his way down the aisle, he kept glancing back over his shoulder to make sure that Pentagon Jr was still laying in the ring. When Aries made it to the ladder, he attempted to collapse it when Pentagon Jr re-entered the fray by running down the aisle and nailing Aries from behind causing him to drop the closed ladder. Pentagon Jr threw Aries into the security railing, before dragging him towards the entrance stage. There he tossed Aries into the video wall supports, and then caught him with another Superkick. Leaving Aries behind Pentagon went and got the ladder and started to carry it towards the ring, where he slid it in and then slowly followed behind it. With the ladder still closed Pentagon Jr started to set it up, and then looked behind him and saw that Aries was getting up on the ring apron so he turned and drove the closed ladder into the face of Aries dropping him back off of the apron. </p><p> </p><p> Setting the ladder up, Pentagon Jr started to ascend towards his World title but Aries caught him and pulled him off of the ladder and then drove his knee into the gut of the Champ. Grabbing Pentagon Jr by the mask Aries spun him around and smacked his head into the top turnbuckle twice, and then followed up with a Standing Dropkick to the back of the head. The blow was enough to drop Pentagon Jr to his knee’s which gave Aries the chance to start to climb the ladder. Aries had his fingers on the belt when Pentagon Jr pushed the ladder over, but Aries had already jumped off of the ladder as it landed on the top rope. The two men started to punch away at each other, before Pentagon sent Aries off of the ropes with an Irish Whip. Aries came flying off of the ropes and went looking for a Crossbody, but Pentagon Jr moved out of the way and Aries landed hard on the frame of the ladder. With Aries still in that vulnerable position Pentagon Jr connected with another Double stomp this time on the back. Pulling Aries into the middle of the ring, Pentagon Jr dragged the ladder over and placed it over his body, pinning Aries to the mat as Pentagon Jr once again began the climb to the top. Aries managed to wiggle out from under the ladder, and climbed up behind Pentagon Jr, pulling his feet off of the ladder causing Pentagon Jr to fall down and bash his head off of the top of the ladder and drop to the mat. With the way cleared, Austin Aries climbed towards the top and was just about the pull the title down when Pentagon Jr pushed the ladder over! Aries was hanging onto the belt, but his fingers slowly gave way and he dropped to the mat below where Pentagon Jr quickly attacked him.</p><p> </p><p> Bouncing off of the ropes Pentagon Jr took Aries down with a Slingblade before closing the ladder up and dropping it to the mat. Picking Aries up Pentagon Jr slammed him onto the ladder, before opening the ladder up after Aries had rolled off. Pulling Aries arm in between the two parts of the ladder, Pentagon Jr slammed the top part of the ladder down onto the arm. While Aries kicked his legs in pain, Pentagon Jr kicked down into the ladder right into the elbow joint of Austin Aries. Opening the ladder Pentagon Jr pulled Austin Aries through the ladder more, before slamming it down again on the head and back of Aries. Grabbing the part of the arm that was now out of the ladder, Pentagon twisted it back with his Sacrifice arm breaker. Opening the ladder up and moving it away from Aries, Pentagon Jr set it up before pushing Aries out of the ring with his foot. Pentagon Jr started the climb up the ladder towards the title belt, and it looked like the match was over until Aries managed to slide back into the ring and threw a Dropkick at the ladder that caused it to topple over and Pentagon Jr landed on the top ring rope crotch first before falling over and landing on the ring apron. Cradling his arm, Aries kicked the ladder closed and then pulled Pentagon Jr to his feet, and then brought him back into the ring and dropped him onto the closed ladder with what looked mostly like a one-armed Brainbuster! Slowly Aries made his way to the top turnbuckle, stood on his feet….and flew off with a 450 splash that crashes hard onto Pentagon Jr on the ladder! </p><p> </p><p> Aries rolled off holding his arm, while Pentagon Jr was holding his ribs as he continued to lay in the collapsed ladder. Slowly Aries stumbled towards Pentagon Jr and went to pull Pentagon to his feet, and suddenly Pentagon responded by pulling Aries down into a Small Package. Of course, that didn’t count but it did slow down Aries momentum as he kicked out. As they climbed to their feet Pentagon Jr fired off a Chop to the chest of Austin Aries that slowed the Challenger down. Aries tried to respond with his own Chop but used the sore arm and it seemed he did more damage to himself. It paved the way for Pentagon Jr to kick Aries in the gut and connected with the Fear Factor! Both wrestlers were out! Pentagon Jr was the first one to his feet and he opened the ladder and started to make his way up towards his belt. But Austin Aries was on the other side! Slowly both men scaled towards the top where they battled with each other over who was going to reach for the belt. They both tried to punch the other off, back and forth the punches went. And then Aries fired off a flurry of punches with his good arm and it looked Pentagon was going to fall off….but somehow he managed to hold on. Now Pentagon grabbed Aries by the air and nailed him with a Headbutt! Aries managed to hold onto the ladder, but it allowed Pentagon Jr to grab the World Championship belt. In desperation Aries reached out and grabbed onto the mask of the Champion and pulled with all of the might left in his good arm……and the masked popped right off!! But Pentagon was wearing another!! After a series of Patriot Locks were not enough to get a submission victory, he attempted to hit a Pump Handle Splash but Pentagon Jr moved out of the way and as Hager crashed to the mat Pentagon Jr got his arm and pulled him to the middle of the ring where he locked in an Inverted Armbreaker. 22. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">September 13, 2018:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> I got off the phone after going through the show in Vancouver, and speaking to the two competitors who would officially be joining the main roster tonight. I would have really loved to be at the show tonight considering what is planned to transpire, but I have a feeling this will be one of the most talked about Impact's in a long time.....I hope the fans like it, although I know some will be rather disappointed.....</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45597" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">Match 1: Bound For Glory Series Quarter-Final: Fenix vs. James Storm</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Thoughts on the Match: As promised Teddy Nemeth had made his way out to the commentary table to watch this match, just in case anything fishy happened. After facing off in several matches since Slammiversary, some singles and some tag, it was not unexpected that these two would start the show off with an exciting match that had the fans buzzing almost from the moment the bell rang. Things went back and forth until Storm reversed a Tilt-a whirl into an Eye of the Storm…but it launched Fenix into the referee and took him down for a few moments. While he was recovering Storm slid out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair and slid back into the ring as he raised the chair above his head to swing it at Fenix when Teddy left the table and slid into the ring and grabbed the chair away. After a brief struggle over the chair, Teddy gained control of it and Storm spun around….right into a Meteora from Fenix! With the referee conscious again it was a three count and Fenix was into the Final Four! </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Result: In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Fénix defeated James Storm in 12:58 by pinfall with a Meteora.
