Important Movie Tycoon Related Stuff

Now, before anyone gets their hopes up, no; the game isn't coming back. At least, not for a little while.

However, this is actually something related to my 'career' in this game that I've been thinking about for a long time now, and I believe now is the perfect time to do it. I know this thread may seem a little unnecessary to some and in all honestly, it probably is. But hopefully if you read this through, you'll understand where i'm coming with it.

I don't know if many people remember this, but in the fourth edition of Movie Tycoon; (The one Ayden hosted) I created a film called Madeline's Great Adventure. As the title suggested; this was a movie based on not just the Madeline book series but also the tv series as well. I made it for two reasons.

1. Because I wanted to give the franchise one more chance in the spotlight, whether it was a new beginning or a fitting conclusion is entirely up to you.

2. Because I had grown to love the series, it's characters and the world it had created. And I saw the potential for what it could be in this modern era of animation. When I thought of Madeline's Great Adventure, I thought that it could be like a worthy competitor that came close to or even in some areas surpassed the works of Disney and Pixar. (At one point, I even had a plan to make my own Madeline TV series. I even had a few episodes lined up, then I got burned out from the series and the plan never materalized)

The end result: I received four stars for my effort. To me, this was the moment that finally cemented me as a capable writer, a process that back in Generations.

And that is why I've decided to create this thread. I have decided...

That I will be remaking the movie and will be guaranteeing a spot in the next Movie Tycoon, and perhaps; even further if I wish.

Why is that?: It's simple. I think back onto the movie, and while I still very much enjoy the work that was put into it; I will admit, there were a few things I think could have been handled a little better. (Remember Madeline-Gate anyone?) I will be the first to admit that some story arcs do end up getting rather muddied, part of the fault being that simply being there were too many story arcs.

Another issue I've noticed is that maybe I missed the boat with some of the characters, such as Nicole and Chloe; who could have done with a little more screen time and had more of a purpose. The character I think I might have wasted the most, surprisingly; is the titular character herself. As much as I would like to believe I got her character right, A part of me thinks I played it way too safe with Madeline and focused on her kind side more than her brave side. Am I saying she should have done everything by herself with no problem? Absolutely not, but I do think I could have balanced her kindness with her bravery better. (And of course, there was the whole Madeline-Gate. Still my biggest regret ever playing these games)

So, what's the plan?: Simple, I will be rewriting the movie and set a couple of guidelines for myself to follow so I can ensure the second time goes better than the first time.

What are you gonna do with the story?: The core of the story will remain relatively the same, however; there will be some several key differences. For starters, some characters will be changed or altered a little bit; and others may be cut out of the movie completely.

There will also be less musical numbers. Because really, twelve in one movie? That's a little much when you think about it...

I will also be changing the person who is in the crisis and goes through the change. And that's as far as we will go for that topic.

Have you got a name?: As of now, I don't have a name for this project yet. I have toyed around with Madeline Goes to Hollywood; but it sounds a little too generic for me. Hopefully, i'll have a working title sooner than later.

So, you mentioned that this may lead to something down the road. What is it?: This project may very well be the biggest I've ever taken up. I've said this a lot, but this time; I mean it. I've already got a cast worked out and i've got a few songs planned for the movie and I have the plot figured out mostly.

But it goes deeper than that, I have long dreamt of working in the animation industry in some fashion; and one of those goals is to one day turn this project into a real movie.

Will this actually happen? Who knows? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. We shall see for ourselves.

Anything else?: Yes, in fact. I would actually like to thank Movie Tycoon for everything it's done for me up to this point. I genuinely don't think I would have learned the stuff I have now as a writer had it not been for these games and I am forever grateful that we've turned this into somewhat of a yearly tradition. I've gotten to see so many great movies from lots of creative people who I've come to know and love. (I will never forget Serendipity, the greatest train wreck of a franchise I've ever come across)

It's actually because of this game that I've grown to love animation and movies more than I ever have in previous years. I've been drawing since around second grade at the latest and since '16; I have made an attempt to turn my hobby into a job. It hasn't been perfect, but I would like to think i'm off to a decent start. I even have my own Deviantart account. (Doesn't really get that much traffic, but it's still amazing)

At the end of the day, I have to give credit to Movie Tycoon for helping me shape who I am as a person today and when i'm older and in a college or a university, I will always remember these games we played back then, and the games we will play in the future.

So, that's pretty much it. Again, I admit that this thread seems rather pointless; but hopefully I've given you a good example as to what my mindset with this game is right now.

Thank you for your time.
