Duggan then says that or else he'll have his Dragons take their Tag Team Titles. Luger and Bagwell both laugh at the notion that the Jung Dragons could ever be a challenge for them, much less beat them, and Duggan then challenges them to prove it. Luger and Bagwell accept the challenge, and as they walk off talking about how this is going to be a piece of cake, the announcers wonder if Duggan just out-smarted Totally Buff here by getting them to agree to give the Jung Dragons a Tag Team Title opportunity? <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="9VqkZFJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9VqkZFJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="4UbzsRf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4UbzsRf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Two men who could quite easily be big time players in the Cruiserweight division in the near future square off next as AJ Styles faces off against "Primetime" Elix Skipper. Once in the ring, Storm cuts a promo, saying a lot of the same things he said last night at Fall Brawl, talking about how he is being unfairly held back and how his talent is not given proper opportunity to shine. Storm says that he is being held back because he's not American, because that is what Americans do; they keep everyone else down, everyone who is better than them, and they keep them from displaying their talent because then the dumb Americans can continue to believe the lie that America is the greatest country in the world when in fact it is the very opposite. Also just like last night at Fall Brawl, Storm announces that the playing of the Canadian national anthem will not take place because the people in this building would not show the proper respect and because of that they are not worthy to hear the greatest national anthem in the world. Storm then drops the mic and heads to the back while the announces talk about the fact that Storm's anti-America agenda is in full swing once again. <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="GHRyeKg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GHRyeKg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Following Lance Storm's promo, we cut to...somewhere outside the arena, presumably, under a dark night sky where a lone figure stands. Vampiro says that people like him, the freaks of this world, have always been treated with such scorn and disgust and nobody ever thinks twice about it. He talks about how people like him are bullied when they are kids because they are different and if they survive that and grow up...then they are shunned, mocked and ridiculed by society. Vampiro says that it's time for the freaks to unite and fight back..and make the world tremble before them! The segment then ends with a shot of the dark night sky while Tony Schiavone states the obvious; that, apparently, Vampiro is back. <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="wZXuh2C.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wZXuh2C.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="wsZRuyw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wsZRuyw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="waG19mm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/waG19mm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Gc4aCsx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Gc4aCsx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="dNLwm1L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dNLwm1L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Tag team action is up next and quite a tag team match at that as The Mamalukes face off against Chris Kanyon and Mike Awesome. The World Champion gets on the mic and he tells Sting and Nash that they are getting way ahead of themselves because he's "The Chosen One", he's the one with all the stroke around here, and he's still the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett brags about his title reign and the dominance of The Chosen Ones, saying that they've got all the gold that guys like Sting and Nash can only dream of at this point in their careers, and then Jarrett asks Sting and Nash what makes them think they can do anything to change that. Before they can answer, Jarrett tells them that they have plenty to worry about as it is because they are facing the WCW Tag Team Champions, Totally Buff, next week on Nitro--in a non-title match, of course. With that huge announcement made by the World Champion, The Chosen Ones return to the back and Sting and Nash are left standing in the ring with one big question lingering as we head toward Halloween Havoc; can Sting trust Kevin Nash? <strong>(A)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> Before our next match we swing by the announce table and Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan, where Tony reminds us all of the huge main event that is still to come later tonight as "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner faces off against Diamond Dallas Page. That match is still to come but for now it's time for another match as Tony sends us back down to ringside. <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="t5bgsE2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/t5bgsE2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="GQpaxEc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GQpaxEc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="NBNbcUS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NBNbcUS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> This match is a battle between two men who came out on the losing side of their matches last night at Fall Brawl, and who are looking to get back on track with a win here tonight on Nitro. The announcers talk about "The Cat" seemingly losing his confidence after last night's defeat as we saw earlier tonight and they wonder if that will play into the outcome of this match. "The Cat" looks good early on in this one and it appears that his confidence grows by the second as he goes toe-to-toe with "The Franchise", but then "The Cat" gets over-confident and decides to start dancing. That one mistake ends up costing him as Shane Douglas is able to hit the Franchiser and pick up the pinfall victory.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Shane Douglas defeated "The Cat" at 8.24 by pinfall with the Franchiser ©</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The match is over and Miss Jones attends to a dejected looking "Cat" on the floor outside the ring. Meanwhile, in the ring, "The Franchise" gets on the mic and he cuts a promo saying that what happened last night was a fluke and if Rey thinks that he's escaping "The Franchise" by picking up a single fluke victory, he's got another thing coming. Shane demands that Rey come down to the ring right now and agree to put his title on the line at Halloween Havoc against "The Franchise". </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="qnDHH19.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qnDHH19.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> After a brief wait, Rey Misterio Jr. comes out from the back and he joins Shane in the ring. Rey tells Shane that, while his win last night wasn't a fluke, he's got no problem proving himself the better man one more time at Halloween Havoc. Having accepted Shane's challenge for a rematch, Rey drops the mic and goes to leave, but Douglas promptly attacks him from behind, beating Rey down and ultimately knocking him to the mat by blasting him with his own United States Championship title belt. Shane then poses with the title before dropping it onto Rey, saying that he'll be coming for that at Halloween Havoc. <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="YiAV5xv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YiAV5xv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="O6ChwMw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/O6ChwMw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It is almost main event time but first we cut to the back where Kevin Nash is walking until he is stopped by Booker T. Booker asks Nash what makes him think that he should be the one getting first crack at the champ and not Booker because he was just as much a part of their win last night as Nash was. Nash, apparently not in the mood for a debate, simply shrugs and tells Booker that he's first in line because that's where he's standing and nobody's gonna move him. "You sure about that?" Booker asks, stepping up face to face with Nash and the segment ends with the two men staring each other down. <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="qc8WHPD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qc8WHPD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="aiJ3oYx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aiJ3oYx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="ijZDMft.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ijZDMft.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> This is as heated a main event as we have seen on Nitro after Scott Steiner arranged the beatdown of DDP at the hands of KroniK a few weeks ago, and Page returned the favor by helping Sting defeat Team Scott Steiner at Fall Brawl last night. The crowd is hot for this one, as expected, and given the history between these two men it comes as no surprise that this turns into a wild brawl more than anything else with both men determined to beat the hell out of each other.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="gBHsAwo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gBHsAwo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> "The Dog-faced Gremlin" Rick Steiner makes his way to the ring but, rather surprisingly for WCW, the referee actually sends Rick to the back before he can do any damage. However, while the referee is preoccupied with Rick, Midajah slips a lead pipe to Scott who promptly uses it on DDP and then discards the evidence. Page is busted open again and "Big Poppa Pump" applies the Steiner Recliner. The fighter that he is, DDP doesn't submit, but the referee eventually calls for the match to be stopped when it appears that DDP has lost consciousness.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Scott Steiner defeated Diamond Dallas Page at 12.37 by referee stoppage after DDP lost consciousness while locked in the Steiner Recliner (B)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Steiner keeps the Steiner Recliner locked in a little while longer while the referee pleads with him to release the hold. Steiner finally does so, and Monday Nitro comes to an end with "Big Poppa Pump" standing tall in the ring above a bleeding and unconscious Diamond Dallas Page.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Show Rating: B</strong></p><p><strong> TV Rating: 1.46</strong></p><p><strong> Show increased popularity in 10 regions</strong></p>

BG gets on the mic and tells Storm that every time he opens his mouth he insults the men and women of this great nation and, as a former soldier and as a man, he's not just gonna sit back and listen to Storm running his mouth. Storm looks absolutely furious, but BG continues, saying that Storm only has himself to blame for his current situation and maybe it's time for him to face reality and stop blaming everyone else. Still furious, Storm turns and it looks like he is about to leave... but then he suddenly turns around and tries a cheap shot on BG James, who sidesteps Storm's superkick. Storm then quickly exits the ring and makes his way back up the ramp while Tony Schiavone announces that BG James has arrived here in WCW and he has done so in style by standing up to Lance Storm on behalf of every single man, woman and child in the country! <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="Z1DlA0N.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Z1DlA0N.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="O6ChwMw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/O6ChwMw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> "Mean" Gene Okerlund is backstage with Booker T and he asks Booker about his confrontation with Kevin Nash last week and Booker's thoughts on the World Title situation as a whole. Tony also uses this time to bring up Kevin Nash's recent history with the Tag Team Champions, beating them for the titles along with "Macho Man" Randy Savage, only to get robbed by the current Champions two weeks later and Nash is no doubt looking for some payback here tonight. When the match finally gets underway, it is a pretty stardard tag team bout in terms of in-ring action, but the fans are into it in no small part due to the star power involved. Luger and Bagwell attempt to isolate both Sting and Nash from each other during this one, but their attempts to do so fail and as a result no team holds the advantage for very long at the time as momentum swings back and forth throughout.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9umPviH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9umPviH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The WCW World Heavyweight Champion makes a later first appearance on tonight's show as he makes his way down to the ring to boos from the crowd while Tony notes that we haven't seen Jarrett all night, to which Bobby Heenan replies that when you're "The Chosen One" you can pretty much come and go as you please. While "The Total Package" distracts the referee, Jarrett enters the ring with a guitar in hand and he has every intention of using it on Sting...but Sting ducks, grabs Jarrett, and throws him over the top rope and out of the ring. Luger tries to get involved, but Kevin Nash is there to brawl with Luger outside the ring, leaving just Sting and "Buff Daddy" in the ring. Sting sets Buff up for the Scorpion Deathdrop, but before he hits it, he first takes a moment to point to Jarrett...and then he drops Bagwell with the Scorpion Deathdrop! Continuing the streak of kicking Monday Nitro off with in-ring action, this week's show starts off with no less than two Champions in action as the United States Champion and the Cruiserweight Champion team up to take on "The Franchise" Shane Douglas and Chavo Guerrero Jr., the two men who will challenge for the titles at Halloween Havoc. This is a good opening match with a lot of back and forth action, but in the end it is Shane Douglas and Chavo Guerrero Jr. who pick up the win after Douglas makes use of a pair of brass knuckles to lay Rey Misterio Jr. out while Chavo has the referee distraction. As Tony Schiavone says after the match, Douglas and Chavo may have picked up a tainted win here tonight, but they have also picked up some big time momentum ahead of their title matches at Halloween Havoc by defeating the respective Champions here tonight.

Shane Douglas and Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Rey Misterio Jr. and Billy Kidman at 12.08 by pinfall when Douglas pinned Misterio after using a pair of brass knuckles (B-)

As "The Franchise" and Chavo Guerrero Jr. leave the ring victorious, we cut to the back where AJ Styles and Shannon Moore are in the middle of a heated argument with Moore blaming AJ for costing him his match last week, but AJ replies that turnabout is fair play and that Moore is the one who started this whole thing. AJ then suggests that Moore steps into the ring with him one more time so they can settle this thing once and for all, to which Moore replies that AJ has no idea the world of hurt he is in for! (E+)

We swing by the announce table where Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan talk about the fact that, later tonight, a contract signing will take place for the World Title match between "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett and Sting at Halloween Havoc. They talk about the fact that Jarrett has held the title ever since The Big Bang pay per view back in May, but Tony and Mike also bring up the fact that most of Jarrett's successful title defenses have happened by hook or crook. Bobby Heenan dismisses that, however, saying that Champions get the job done and that is exactly what Jeff Jarrett has been doing for months now. (C+)

Hugh Morrus and Road Warrior Animal come down to the ring and they are clearly not in a good mood after what happened last week when they were attacked by the returning trio of Mike Sanders, Mark Jindrak and Shawn Stasiak. Hugh Morrus gets on the mic and calls out "those cowards who jumped them from behind last week" because something tells him they're in the building tonight again. After a bit of a wait...

Mike Sanders, Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak are spotted making their way through the crowd, and they jump the guard rail and stand outside the ring. Animal challenges them to step into the ring, saying that it wasn't anything for them to jump them from behind last week,so how about they do it face to face this time? Timing their entrance carefully, the trio enter the ring at the same time and a wild brawl erupts with Morrus and Animal dishing out the punishment early on, but the three on two disadvantage does eventually catch up to them and they end up getting beaten down for the second straight week by Sanders, Jindrak and Stasiak, who disappear through the crowd again, having done their damage. Following another brutal attack by the Invaders, we cut to somewhere in the back where Vampiro cuts a short promo, vowing to bring "others just like him" to WCW and then the freaks will inherit, maybe not the Earth, but certainly World Championship Wrestling. (C-)

"The Cat" once again tries to turn things around and get back on track with a win against Dustin Rhodes here tonight, but Rhodes is no walkover and after a decent back and forth matchup, Rhodes is able to catch "The Cat" by surprise with an inside cradle which is just enough to secure the pinfall and pick up the victory as "The Cat" extends his losing streak.

Dustin Rhodes defeated "The Cat" at 8.53 by pinfall with an inside cradle (C-)

The match is over and "The Cat" can't believe he just lost another match. In a show of good sportsmanship, Dustin Rhodes tries to shake hands with "The Cat", but "The Cat" just stares at Dustin's hand, then turns his back to him and leaves the ring. As "The Cat" makes his way back up the ramp with Miss Jones following behind him, "The Cat" is clearly frustrated that his run of bad luck has continued here tonight on Nitro. (D+)

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is backstage with Stacy Keibler, Chris Kanyon and Mike Awesome. Gene notes that Kanyon and Awesome will be in action later tonight against Kevin Nash and Booker T, and Gene asks them how they prepare for a match against two of the biggest stars in the business. As usual, it is Stacy Keibler who does the talking and she says that Chris Kanyon and Mike Awesome have only just begun to scratch the surface of their potential as a tag team, and when they beat Nash and Booker T tonight, they'll send a message to the whole world that there is a new dominant tag team in WCW and her guys are heading straight to the top! ©

The WCW World Heavyweight Champion, "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett, comes down to the ring for his match, but he cuts a promo first, saying that he is sick and tired of the fans not showing him the proper respect he deserves as the World Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett says that everybody thought that Kevin Nash could beat him, but they were wrong. Everybody thought DDP could beat him, but they were wrong. Everybody thought Booker T could beat him, and they were wrong. And everybody thought Randy Savage could beat him, and they were wrong. And now everyone thinks that Sting can beat him, and they are once again wrong. Jarrett then tells Konnan to get down to the ring so he can be added to the list of people who couldn't defeat "The Chosen One"! (B)

This match is a lot better than most people probably would have expected, in no small part due to Jeff Jarrett putting in a strong performance although Konnan, to his credit, holds his own as well in this one. The match goes nearly ten minutes and "The Chosen One" controls most of it, but Konnan shows great heart as he keeps fighting back. In the end, however, the challenge of facing off against the World Champion proves too much for K-Dawg, and Jarrett picks up the win after hitting the Stroke.

"The Cat" is walking through the backstage area, still looking frustrated, when he is approached by "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair wants to know what the hell that was all about out there with "The Cat" turning his back on Dustin Rhodes like that? "The Cat" tells Flair to leave him alone, but Flair tells him that what he did to Dustin Rhodes was disrespectful when Dustin was just being a class act. "The Cat" then opts for disrespectful behaviour as he just blows Flair off and walks off, leaving Flair looking slightly pissed off as we cut elsewhere. (C+)

More specifically, we cut to ringside where "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and the Jung Dragons are heading to the ring. "Hacksaw" gets on the mic and says that he and the Dragons aren't leaving until they get the Tag Team Title match that was promised to them. After a bit of a wait...

sSiM1MW.jpgtjPJopW.jpgepiwJ9r.jpg

The owner of WCW, Eric Bischoff, comes out from the back, but he is not alone as he is flanked by the WCW Tag Team Champions, Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell. The three of them join Duggan and the Dragons in the ring and Bischoff says that as much as he hates to admit it, Totally Buff did kind of agree to the match, making what could be seen as verbal contract...which means, Bischoff says reluctantly, that the Dragons will get their shot at Halloween Havoc. The Dragons and Duggan are happy about this, but Buff takes the mic from Bischoff and tells them that they are only celebrating their own defeat because there is no way in hell that they can hang with "Buff Daddy" and "The Total Package". As the Champions leave the ring, Tony Schiavone drives home the point that we've got a Tag Team Title match set for Halloween Havoc. (C+)

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is backstage with "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash, but not Booker T, and Gene asks Nash about the main event tag team matchup. Nash says that he doesn't care what anybody says; he's first in line to challenge for the title after Halloween Havoc and if anyone's got a problem with that, Booker T included, then it's just too damn bad. Gene wonders if the tension between Nash and Booker will impact their teamwork later tonight, but Nash just says that Booker may talk a big game, but deep down he knows that he can't compete with "Big Sexy" and neither can Chris Kanyon and Mike Awesome. (B-)

BG James made his surprising debut last week on Nitro, and tonight James is in action for the first time against Johnny Swinger. Johnny Swinger gets just a little bit of offense in, but otherwise it's all BG James in this one and James eventually puts Swinger away with a pumphandle powerslam for the debut victory.

BG James defeated Johnny Swinger at 4.04 by pinfall with a pumphandle powerslam (D+)

The match is over, but as soon as the bell rings Lance Storm slides into the ring behind BG James, who is completely unaware of Storm's presence. Storm stalks BG for a few seconds, and when James finally senses that someone is behind him, he turns around right into a superkick from Storm! Storm then shouts some profanities, or at the very least some choice words, at BG with a disgusted look on his face, and the message basically amounts to Storm telling James to mind his own business. (C-)

Z1DlA0N.jpgO6ChwMw.jpg

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is backstage again and this time he is with Booker T. Gene asks Booker about Kevin Nash's comments earlier tonight, and Booker says that he meant what he said last week and if Kevin Nash has got a problem with that, then Booker's got no problem settling it with him in the ring. Gene asks Booker the same question he asked Nash earlier; will the tension between them impact their teamwork in the main event? Booker says that he'll work with Nash tonight because they're on the same team, but he doesn't trust Nash one bit and after the match all bets are off. (C+)

The Steiner Brothers and Midajah come down to the ring and Scott gets on the mic and tells DDP to get his ass down to the ring right now so the "Big Bad Booty Daddy" can finish what he started two weeks ago! Nothing happens. Scott, getting angrier, starts calling DDP all sorts of names, telling him that he's a coward, a little b!tch, and worse.

qc8WHPD.jpg

Finally, DDP's voice is heard as Page is out among the fans with a mic of his own. Page says that he's not stupid enough to walk into a two on one situation, but if Scott has a problem, why don't they settle it at Halloween Havoc? Page says that Scott may have thought that he retired him two weeks ago but, in case he hasn't noticed...."I'm still standing....BANG!!!!" The crowd loves it, Scott is furious in the ring, and the announcers hype up the fact that Scott Steiner and Diamond Dallas Page will go one on one at Halloween Havoc. (A)

A rare sight in WCW, but this week we actually have a main event that doesn't include any kind of outside interference as Nash, Booker, Kanyon and Awesome just have a straight up tag team match--and a good one at that. Nash and Booker are able to work together, though the tension between the two men is obvious all throughout this match, and Kanyon and Awesome are able to hold their own against two of the biggest stars in the business, proving that Stacy Keibler might be have been right when she called them the new dominant tag team in WCW. As the match progresses, a game of one-upmanship developes between Nash and Booker as they try to out-do each other, which nearly causes them to lose the match as Kanyon and Awesome aren't the kind of opponents you can mess around with. In the end, after a good, competitive matchup, Booker T hits the Bookend on Mike Awesome and picks up the pinfall victory for his team, much to the disappointment and annoyance of "Big Sexy", who looks like he wanted to get the pinfall himself.

Booker T and Kevin Nash defeated Mike Awesome and Chris Kanyon at 13.06 by pinfall when Booker pinned Awesome following a Bookend (B)

It is time for the contract signing between "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett and Sting for the World Heavyweight Championship title match at Halloween Havoc, and it is being overseen by the owner of WCW, Eric Bischoff, who accompanies the World Champion to the ring. Sting is out last and he gets on the mic and tells Bischoff and Jarrett that he knows them both well enough by now to know that they are cooking up some kind of scheme for Halloween Havoc, but he reminds them that the only thing that's for sure about Sting...is that nothing's for sure and whatever they've got planned, he'll see it coming a mile way because he knows how they think. Before Jarrett has a chance to respond, and before any kind of potential attack can happen, Sting then promptly signs the contract and leaves the ring, and Nitro ends with Bischoff and Jarrett standing in the ring watching as Sting makes his way back up the ramp and the announcers hype up their World Title match at Halloween Havoc. The Chosen Ones("The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett, "The Total Package" Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell)vs. Sting, "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash and Booker T

- Tough one to call. Nash could make it difficult for the match ending. This won't be a clean win in any case.

- If you can get the Mamalukes over, you're God.

Vampiro vs. Jason Jett

- It'll be interesting to see how long Vampiro lasts for you. He's a major problem.
