<p>Same procedure as every draft. Time to give feedback!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p>

When i drafted my roster i thought of my RoH/PWI´resque product. I wanted a couple of draws and a bunch of youngsters. Timothy Hawk and Jean-Claude Giroux should lead the company until guys like Chris King take over. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong>Im so happy to get "Second City Saint" Chris King so late in the draft. Also im really happy that i got Giroux and Hawk as leaders.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p>

No not all, well maybe. Im not sure if Stephen Haddad can behave himself. Well he is only on ppa:cool:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players? </strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>EVOLVE:</strong> Vincent I. Parker and Johnny Hollywood. I wanted them too <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>IWGP:</strong> Getting Christian Prophet so late was really a steal!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WR:</strong> Erik Van Rijn. I love that guy. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LLDM:</strong> Sugarskull and Alberto Marchena Jr. The entire roster is really good for the product LLDM represents.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>SUPER:</strong> What a roster we have here. Hard to pick a favourite besides Hiroto Nori ofc.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MC-Rev:</strong> I curse you! Tyler Mercury was mine! MINE! MINE! MINE!<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RS: </strong>I really like the roster. My favorite pick is Ethan Paro. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p>

No. I really like the way people drafted. Im a bit sad that some people left the draft. I think drafting is always exciting, no matter the database.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong>I hope we establish on cult level.</p>

<p>Same procedure as every draft. Time to give feedback!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p><strong> </strong>It honestly evolved quite a bit from what I had planned. Before the draft, I imagined a Miami Vice meets Lucha Underground styled promotion, but almost immediately I found it difficult to find the right people. So I think I ended up more like a more flippy WWE. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p> Ever since I decided that Towerblock is a really out of shape Major Armstrong from Full Metal Alchemist, I've been giddy about this pick.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/bdWNCoTkgE4?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Just an ordinary day at the meat shop"></iframe></div></div><p> </p><p> <strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p> Slightly. I did not realize how bad attitude Yokai Dragon had when I drafted him. I needed someone with his profile and I think he was the best around at the time, but it resulted in a need to draft people with a positive attitude to balance him out.</p><p> </p><p> In hindsight, I regret bumping Jess Hart down my draft list to draft Marco De Francesco. I think he might be strictly speaking more useful, but for story purposes, I really wanted the ability to tell stories around the Hart family, but I was too greedy.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players? </strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44503" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>EVOLVE: Vincent I. Parker and Johnny Hollywood. I wanted them too </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Me too! While EVOLVE has a slightly different profile, there's so much overlap between our styles, they kept picking people I wanted. El Angel and Cloud James were two other guys high on my list.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>IWGP:</strong> I admit the Japanese side of this draft is a big blind spot to me. I don't know who's good or not, but I wanted RIKU and I quite wanted Sean Girven.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>DRAGON:</strong> The aforementioned Ryan Doherty felt like a strong pick, and I think Bryce Christensen fell far. I had him on my short list for a long while but kept bumping him down for names that felt more urgent, and then he was gone.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WR:</strong> I don't know... I looked up van Rijn that Tardelli mentions and he looks kinda cool. I'm not well versed enough in the Thunderverse to have much opinion on the Japanese side of the draft I'm afraid. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>LLDM: </strong>I figured LLDM would be my nemesis in this draft, but I soon found that there were very few luchadors or luchadoras with any kind of crossover appeal across the US/Mexican border, and the few that existed wasn't drafted by LLDM but by EVOLVE (or me). I liked the first two picks. White Panther Jr vs Green Doctor Jr feels like an epic future mask vs mask main event. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>SUPER:</strong> Goto and Kato were on my radar, but as a US promotion it did not make sense to draft them so early, but that's a solid 1-2 pick. Otherwise again, as a partially pop based US promotion, I didn't look very closely at the Japanese scene. Ebi Kadavar was also a nice pickup, I think he was on the short list for a lot of people by the time he went.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>MC-Rev:</strong> Did I say EVOLVE kept snubbing me? Honestly, every MC-Rev pick from round 1 through 10 felt like they were ripped pretty much from the top of my draft list. Jess and Scott Hart probably hurt the most. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p> I felt maaaaybe it was a bit unnecessary to use top 30 draft picks for TV deals instead of written contracts, but I can't really say that for sure. There are usually quite a lot of TV slots available.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p><strong> </strong>Hard to say. I'm not very good at building a promotion to succeed, but I think I drafted a pretty decent main event scene. If I book it myself, to the strenghts of the roster, I could see it work. In a watcher save, I'm afraid it might crash and burn.</p>

<p>Same procedure as every draft. Time to give feedback!</p><p> </p><p>

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</p><p>

I'm pretty pop over performance, so I went for big names early, with emphasis on good workers too, or storylines that'd be fun to play. Later in the draft, it was attempting to fill out things like staff, tag teams, that sort of thing.</p><p> </p><p>

- What pick were you most excited about?</p><p>

I'm glad Dread Nocturn fell to me because he was my submission for Become a Star a long time ago, and being a masked worker, he kinda fits. Wouldn't be shocked if I reached a bit for him though.</p><p> </p><p>

- Are there any picks you regret?</p><p>

Not offhand. I'm not super familiar with the T-Verse, and I pretty much got a region to myself, so I just took a bunch of good workers.</p><p> </p><p>

- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players? </p><p> </p><p>

EVOLVE: Sean Riley & Cloud James. I was considering being an American promotion before the draft and Riley would have been my #1 pick.</p><p> </p><p>

IWGP: Schism or Christian Prophet, I'm definitely a big fan of both, and they came at good times.</p><p> </p><p>

DRAGON: Lots of good ones. Cameron Cody, Derek Grace and Thomas Beaumont are probably my favorites though.</p><p> </p><p>

WR: I like Dagger Ito as an owner. He was someone I looked at when I was creating my promotion as a potential owner.</p><p> </p><p>

LLDM: It's me! I like a lot of my picks.</p><p> </p><p>

SUPER: Definitely DRAGON Michinoku. </p><p> </p><p>

MC-Rev: I love this company in general. Since no one else was in Mexico, I wasn't paying attention to other peoples' picks, but this looks like a company I'd enjoy playing. I recognize lots of the names.</p><p> </p><p>

RS: Yokai Dragon is probably my favorite pick, but this is another really well-rounded promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</p><p>

None offhand, because I don't know the T-Verse that well.</p><p> </p><p>

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</p><p>

I'm hoping to settle around National in Mexico and just turn out high ratings show after show.</p>

<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p>

To assemble a roster of the top junior heavyweights from Japan and around the world.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p>

Goto & Kato, most of the younger guys I got like KING, Kuzuryu, Mini Beetle, & Red Hawk.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p>

Maybe drafting HUSTLE Umiro over Akito Nakada, but I love HUSTLE Umiro.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

EVOLVE: SUPER Tiger & Furosuto</p><p> </p><p>

IWGP: Kintaro Kojo, Kozue, & Sairento</p><p> </p><p>

DRAGON: Chris King, my own creation!</p><p> </p><p>

WR: Akito Nakada, Arttu Jensen</p><p> </p><p>

LLDM: Xero & Aeronaut</p><p> </p><p>

MC-Rev: Jung DRAGON, I was hoping he would drop. I planned on picking him with my fifth pick.</p><p> </p><p>

RS: Amaan Singh & Ranjin Vidur</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p>

None really</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p>

We want to become the best promotion in all of Japan. Wrestle-Rage and IWGP, you are on notice!</p>

<p><strong>- What was your goal in drafting your roster?</strong></p><p>

Getting characters that can one way or another be presented as fitting the general ethos of MC-REV, either because they're very outside the mainstream, dark/hardcore, and talent with a distinct style that wouldn't necessarily fit elsewhere. Bringing back together a lot of my old SUX favourites who've left. Building a really strong tag team division. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What pick were you most excited about?</strong></p><p>

Tyler Mercury, pretty sure I missed out on him last draft and thought he'd have gone before we got round to my pick so very happy with that one.</p><p> </p><p>

Evan Kuja, I know I probably went earlier than I needed to, but from Detroit, very talented, multi-faceted, and one of my Thunderverse favourites.</p><p> </p><p>

Very happy to have gotten Cross, Diablo, Enemies of the State, Brandt, Ieshia, Klaxon, Freedom, Poisonous Apathy and Mickie Violent for my SUX reunion. Didn't really miss out on any SUX alumni I was after.</p><p>

</p><p><strong>

- Are there any picks you regret?</strong></p><p>

Maybe went a little overkill on mystery boxes at the end there (even the 100 pop for WMD, because I've no idea how I'm going to rationally explain that - she was going to be in a midcard tag team with Mo Fury - and most likely still will be).</p><p> </p><p>

Clay Clinton was one made on ability rather than how good a fit he is, maybe should have just accepted having a rubbish announce team for the sake of keeping to the theme.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?</strong></p><p>

EVOLVE: Silva Dolla first and foremost, would have loved to have got him - but was never high enough up my list to be a realistic hope. Richie Santana Jr. is great as well, just wasn't what I was looking for this time around.</p><p> </p><p>

IWGP: No idea how he was allowed to wait till the 7th round for Kozue. The beginnings of a really good roster actually, great first 10 picks.</p><p> </p><p>

DRAGON: Taylor Boston, Cameron Cody, Casey Skym, all characters I'm very fond of. Not sure it's a roster that feels very 'DRAGON' though.</p><p> </p><p>

WR: Big fan of EVR, and I might have gone for Pain and Torture if they'd not been picked up five or six rounds later. But not really a roster that stands out to me as one I'd like to play.</p><p> </p><p>

LLDM: Just drafted Mexico basically.</p><p> </p><p>

SUPER: I so wanted Kato (and to a lesser extent Goto), he was third on my initial list behind the two I got (Mercury and Cross). Very very good roster. In fact seeing how late KAMIKAZE, Kadivar and Crowley went is making me regret some of the picks I made around the same time.</p><p> </p><p>

RS: It's great to see the Van Holts not split up in a draft but how did poor Jesse not go before the 27th round. Absolutely baffled me he was still available when you picked him - and a ballsy move to wait that long. Eli a great first pick. Good roster all round, regret not picking the Bollywood Knights up too.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>- What were some picks made that puzzled you?</strong></p><p>

Weren't any really. Lots I wouldn't have made, but nothing hugely jarring.</p><p>

</p><p><strong>

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?</strong></p><p>

Bloody, intense, fast, dark and featuring some of the best wrestling in the world. What's not to like?</p>

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

Right off the bat I knew I was going for a sports entertainment company with a bigger focus on the in-ring action, as EVOLVE is basically like TNA with it's own X-Division title to showcase that. So I made sure I got together talent with good in-ring and entertainment abilities, or at least talent who could develop one or the other or even both over time. Looking at my roster now, I think I've accomplished my goal as I've got both serious competitors as well as more out there characters to keep with the sports entertainment feel.

- What pick were you most excited about?

The pick I'm the most excited about has to be Atonga because if there was going to be a perfect representative of the sort of modern storytelling EVOLVE was going to focus on, it would be him. The Islander heel given a new story of fighting for respect with a vicious cunning to avoid being seen as just a savage from the oceans. It's got me giddy, especially with Kay Pasa and Leati in the company and Mr. Hawaii still available for a possible Islander Nation of Domination.

- Are there any picks you regret?

I love having him on my roster simply because I love where I can take the character, but I do sort of wish I chose Tyler Mercury over Silva Dolla first due to how damn well he'd fit the company's image of diversity with his good mat and aerial skills.

Also kind of regret choosing Johnny Hollywood and VIP, at least with choosing both of them together anyway. There's subtle differences to both guys, but in the end it's still a Hollywood gimmick. Saving grace is that I at least can make a stable out of them and some free agents in the market I noticed.

- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?

IWGP: Christian Prophet was someone I had my eye on for a bit, and with how late it was getting in the draft I thought I was going to have time to get him. Shame on me for thinking that lol. Overall though I love the roster SanX was building here, and I hope he can finish it strong with who is left.

DRAGON: Garrett South was going to be the next pick after Cloud James, and would've been a great talent to have on EVOLVE due to the character match. Overall though the idea of South vs Hawk is always something I love when thinking about the AWF, so it's good to see it'll happen in DRAGON too.

WR: Kanegan's got a lot of love for the Thunderverse's Japanese scene, and it shows with his picks, especially his top two of Oda Yamakawi and EVR. They're the best current talents to build on in the Japan region imo, and are a great pair of top talents for WR.

LLDM: I'm kinda sad Rayelek ended up the only Mexican promotion as there is a lot of good talent there, but my sympathy left when he took Alberto Marchena Jr lol. I wanted some good unmasked lucha talent, and was able to make up for it with Alejandro Iglesias, but Alberto is too fun to use in any games I play south of the border in regular TV.

SUPER: Hands down Goto and Kato. I was making plans right off the bat for them in EVOLVE when I saw how high their popularity was in the US, with ideas for them to be a top tier tag team that could even get a future run holding the World Heavyweight (Kato), X-Division (Goto), and Tag Team Championships all at once. Just didn't expect them to be chosen so quickly!

MC-Rev: First off I love the whole theme of the promotion and am glad it all got put together even if I am jealous of the picks like Cross and Ram Diablo. The one I love the most and wish I got earlier however, has to be Evan Kuja. He's one of the few total packages in the game imo, and with his abilities in brawling, technical wrestling and high flying as well as his entertainment skills, he would've been a perfect addition to EVOLVE.

RS: James Gilmour. Another perfect character for EVOLVE that I wanted along with Evan Kuja, Goto and Kato. Hell, if I had gotten Gilmour earlier I probably wouldn't have signed VIP or Drake Richards to fill in the main event gap.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

For a bit I was confused on what tag teams were drafted for DRAGON, but then I realized I couldn't talk considering two of the teams in EVOLVE I had planned weren't even official teams in game yet. Plus I figured Tardelli does what I do and puts guys together with the intention of making them teams later.

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

Might have to adjust some things just to make sure my faces and heels are who I want to be those dispositions and not just their initial stats, but overall I'm pretty excited at the idea of getting EVOLVE started and taking the fight to the other US promotions. I also have to eventually build the EVOLVE Women's Division too...but there's a lot of choices open thankfully since nobody else really had a Women's Division.

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

First off, i was glad to be part of this draft as this was my second draft overall and first in a long time.

My diary game with IWJ few months back got me excited in the Japanese T-verse scene and i went for a similar feel, only much more grander. I don't know if i have been able to achieve it completely but i am happy with the roster.

- What pick were you most excited about?

Of course picking EVR and Yamawaki was great as well as picking some solid tag teams to round off the roster. All my titles are either main event level or floating so every title means something. I know it's overkill but i like to experiment and hopefully this one stays long.

- Are there any picks you regret?

Probably going crazy over mystery boxes and not taking enough picks to round off my women's division.

- What were some of your favorite picks made by other players?

IWGP: Lot of picks there which i wanted, Kintaro Kojo, RIKU, Christian Prophet, Sairento, Sean Girven. Hopefully, he completes his roster soon.

DRAGON: Garrett South, Jean-Claude Giroux, Cameron Cody

WR: Of course, i love most of my picks

LLDM: Of course, being the only Mexican promotion, most of the top talents went to him.

SUPER: Goto and Kato of course. I wanted them so bad

MC-Rev: JUNG Dragon, Tyler Mercury and Ram Diablo

RS: Bollywood Knights were another team that i wanted so badly.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

None, i enjoyed the draft.

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

Hopefully, we can claim the top spot in the three way war between IWGP, SUPER and W-RAGE. This looks like a good multiplayer diary game.

<p>So, I've run a watcher save five years on from the start position, and for once, I've put together a company that actually *works*, but it doesn't show much in the end year awards. Some stuff that has happened over the five years:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Wrestler of the year:</strong></p><p>

</p><ul><li>2020: Elix Storm (DRAGON)<br /></li><li>2019: Timothy Hawk (DRAGON)<br /></li><li>2018: Timothy Hawk (DRAGON)<br /></li><li>2017: Graham MacKenzie (DRAGON)<br /></li><li>2016: Juro Deguchi (IWGP)<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p>

From these wrestler awards you might think DRAGON is the dominant promotion in the world, but that is not the case. In Japan, IWGP has a firm grip on the domestic market, while Ringworks Syndicate has been the number one ranked company in the world since year 2, dominating USA, Canada and UK (year one Motor City Revolution were ranked number one, fast out the gate, but they have been in steady decline ever since). However, the competition is stiff, and since a while back, IWGP is the only company that has been able to stay at National level, all others have shrunk back to Cult level. All companies are making profits, most of them all Ringworks Syndicate who has amassed well over $100M in the five years they've been in operation. DRAGON trails them with $70M while Super Juniors of Japan and Wrestle Rage are lagging well behind, but still making small profits. But if DRAGON is second in industry success, in the ring they dominate, and Timothy Hawk in particular.</p><p> </p><p>

Looking at the transfers it feels like a different story is being told than by the awards and popularity growth. EVOLVE has been extremely successful in poaching stars from DRAGON, RWS and MC-REV. It's frankly baffling that they are behind RWS in popularity, but it might just be a matter of time.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Only if I could have been able to participate in the draft as I had planned. </p><p> </p><p>

I had pretty hectic month, which I surely had not planned. I had university submissions ,exams, college festival, ill pet and a family issue, in first two weeks of January and right now as I type on my phone, I am on a trip with almost zero connectivity in desert. I will get my hands on draft data after at least a week or so. </p><p> </p><p>

I had planned to draft as follows - 4 hw, 4 Jr's and then continue in that order. So at 25th pic, I would have had a complete roster with 4 stables with 1 singles hw, 2 tag HW and a jr star and 2Jr's with focus on HW division.</p><p> </p><p>

At least I drafted right people at the top it seems from doc's game. There were three of us in Japan and we have deadlock three way at the top which will make a fantastic game. </p><p> </p><p>

I sincerely apologize guys, I should have planned my time better.</p>
