I knew it would take a while, but I've already spent something like five hundred hours editing it by now. It's crazy. (In hindsight, I wouldn't have bothered with things like names, which took about half of that time - that's over 10,000 names fully researched and typed in by hand)</p><p> </p><p> I completely understand why you would never want to go through that again when you've done it once, but I'm so glad that you're able import it via the free trial of WMMA4. If you couldn't, you could have always asked a kind person on here to update it on their system and send the file back to you.</p><p> </p><p> It's worth it though. WMMA 5 seems to have made sooo many improvements over the previous versions. Can't wait to actually start playing the thing. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>User Points where?</p><p> </p><p>

I've made a user point after my 75th show but for the life of me I can't find the screen that allows it to be applied. Where it it oh great one?</p><p> </p><p>

P.S. Loving this new version of the game. It's Absolutely the best MMA game I've played--I own WMMA 3 & 4 so a longtime fan. Love the modders here as well!</p>

So, even when guys go on losing streaks, their stats can improve if they're relatively young. My question is if a young fighter gets KO'd a few times, will his chin just keep getting worse or will that stat ever improve?

Thinking about a guy like Robbie Lawler where he went through a bad spell of KO's just to come into his 30's with a heck of a chin. Can always just edit them in the in-game editor, but was just wondering.

<p>I've been searching for the answer to this for an hour with no luck...</p><p> </p><p>

Is there a setting for my child companies to sign fighters exclusively from their own region? For instance, I want my American child company to sign only American fighters, my South American company to sign only Brazilian fighters, etc.</p><p> </p><p>

I thought it had something to do with company size but I've run some tests and even at "unknown" my child companies sign everyone and anyone they can. This is problematic because I'm trying to keep my feeder leagues contained to their own regions. It would be helpful for how I have my league format set up. Anyway, thanks for any help/advice!</p><p> </p><p>

when trying to talk to any fighter based in Australia they tell me there are no teams willing to train him\her. even tho there are like 3-4 open teams with 0 members. is this a bug or is there some other reason they wont find a team?

It's due to the reputation of the teams versus I believe the popularity of the fighters. So if the fighters are virtually unknown and the teams have a fairly high reputation they can't join. This works the other way as well...the fighters may be too big for any of the teams in Australia.

It will affect them indirectly as usually a long period of inactivity will follow the scandal and it's usually the big matches at the end of their careers that pile up the HoF points.</p>

I never saw this suggestion posted in the list of new things to WMMA, and I have yet to see anyone bring it up on the forum which is weird because I remember people requesting this in WMMA 4. Maybe I missed it being talked about on the forum?

In WMMA 4 when you had a company as large as the default GAMMA and ALPHA-1 (interesting fact, and it's probably a coincidence but 2 of the possible 5 brain waves are alpha waves and gamma waves) it was so easy to make a fortune in profit. Because of making all this profit it was super easy to outbid the competition and get whatever talent you wanted, even if the other competition had the same amount of money.

Was this ever fixed so that if you are playing a ALPHA-1 or a GAMMA you can't just spend tons of money and get whatever talent you want?

In the settings menu, you can turn up AI hiring aggression and also increase the financial difficulty for national-rated promotions which should in theory make it more difficult to poach fighters at will. I have never tried this, so I do not know how effective this is in practice.

However, there are some significant drawbacks. And some significant changes, as well. Here's my experience with playing it on the second highest setting...</p><p> </p><p> The main problem with the game is that money doesn't really matter, but it certainly matters to the AI. You can poach lower pop fighters simply by added a 0 to their contract offer. The AI will think "This is nuts, he's offering him ten times my offer!" and never play ball. You can win so many borderline negotiations simply by just ending it quickly with ridiculous bids. </p><p> </p><p> However, for the tippy top fighters, it's going to be a fight. If they're offering 200,000, prepare for some negotiating and changing of the terms. From my experience, the top fighters typically stay put, but it really depends on you. If they are a 200,000, they're not going to take a 300,000 offer, 400,000 is close, 500,000 and you most likely got them because there have been situations where they didn't take it. The AI is more inclined to the brand that got them popular, but you can break it with outrageous bids. Also typically I give up on the bids simply because I just want to move on and book my next show and not have to deal with it.</p><p> </p><p> It's yin and yang. It's both good... and bad.</p>

Yeah. The mechanic definitely works as it should, but as mentioned money matters little from the moment you run any profit (which is soon enough). So I've turned it off as I don't think it applies between AI-AI interactions. In the end you're just wasting time adjusting contracts. The only way they'll steal a worker is if you're not paying attention or they poach it from your dev territory.
