Compared to TEW, does broadcasters work differently? It seems like you can continue to gain popularity at med and high international with a tiny tv provider. Is that right, because it's confusing to me?

2nd question: If you don't run shows or have tv in an area for a few months, do you lose popularity? I haven't seen it happen.

Basically if the broadcaster your using is a higher popularity then whatever popularity you have in that region, it'll be harder to put on good shows. Higher popularity broadcasters will expect big names to headline cards, so if you don't have one for that region, it can be detrimental as, while yes more people will be watching your show, it'll be harder to please the audience and, thus, the broadcaster. Best course of action is to just stick with broadcasters in your popularity range, then as you get bigger, sign new deals with bigger networks.

2. No, not a feature that was brought over. You could run one show a year if you wanted to with no penalties.

A question about broadcaster and AI-run companies

Is it possible for AI-run companies to sign broadcasting deals? I would assume it is possible, since it never states that it can't - but I've been playing a game for 5 in-game years, and I've never seen an AI-run company to sign a broadcasting deal.

I've been using a "custom" database, but most data is directly imported from the default one, with the only difference being the free pictures folder. Perhaps that could be an issue..?

A question about broadcaster and AI-run companies

Hmmm, that could be perhaps an issue. All the AI companies are the size of low level regional. There still is a broadcaster they can sign (Sportube, same as the default one), but I'm not sure if AI companies follow the same player logic. Normally (or speaking from your personal experience) how big do AI-run companies get when they start to sign contracts?

How is pay-per-view intended to work with the game mechanics? As far as I can tell, it cannot effectively replicate how pay-per-view actually works. In real life, there are several pay-per-view broadcasters available in large markets that all carry a particular event. In WMMA, you cannot have multiple broadcasters in one area.

Every real world mod I've seen has a mix of distributors and broadcasters which are not the same thing. If it's intended to be distributors and not broadcasters, then the game mechanics make a bit more sense but then the mechanics for range stop making sense as this would be more impacted by which broadcasters carry it.

The only real solution I can see is making one broadcaster per area for each range designed to represent all of the broadcasters.

They will get significantly bigger upon signing one as their stars will be more popular as a result. It is a pretty awesome game that is only missing a couple few things, this being one of them, but it is still pretty great to play.

Now that clears up things, I was really worried that I did something wrong. You just saved me from sifting through the 1000+ characters and seeing if I set something wrong.....

I apologize for asking so many pesky questions, but generally, how much money does an AI company require when starting from the "grounds up"? (i.e, from unknown/low level regional to financial stability) It seems to me that 10,000 USD is not enough, but I don't want to give them a few million dollars to start......

Do what you want and stay for as long as you want, then resign and remove that player from the game world.

I'm also fairly sure that messing with the files as that other chap suggested can do a bit of damage, so I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think you can turn a save into a database.

To pop in and out, simply add a second player to the game playing a company of choice and change at will. The catch is that there need to be no CEO's in the company.

As for the money for AI: just give them 500k. They lose almost all if it if LLR.

One cannot just trade a save file for a DB one and pray it works. 2 completely different things.

Really late to the party with v5, but I finally bought it and I'm really liking what I've seen thus far.

Do you guys use the default settings for Injuries, Finances and such? Or is it recommended that these are tweaked for realism? <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I have 2 questions to ask, having played this game quite a lot:

In the Developer's journal Adam said fighters could punch after the stoppage or hold submissions too long: did this happen to any of you? If I want to emulate someone like Palhares, what should I do to have him likely to hold a submission after the tap?

Which brings me to my second question, did any of you unlock the "injury from submission" achievement? That is one of the few missing for me, and in WMMA4 all you had to do was having a fighter with "Fighting spirit" lose by submissions, but that doesn't seem to make it happen this year.

Could you recall what may have potentially triggered it, maybe a rivalry or a certain personality? I have had multiple saves that went several years and I've never seen it happening

It was ended by mounted punches and the winner just kept going after the TKO.

I think there's some influence, but it's mostly random.
