Main Card / Prelim Divide

Recommended Posts

I know it's probably this way because it fits the screen better than the old WMMA3 version, but maybe there could be a tick box for companies to use or don't use prelims.

I'm suggesting this because running a Japanese company for example, it really takes you out of the immersion when the first four fights of your 8 man tournament are prelims, because there can only be 10 main card bouts.

As quite a few big companies doesn't use main card / prelim divide between fights at all, this could be an easy solution, as this way the fights on the prelim screen would be treated as main card bouts too.

Yes, that's true. What I meant is if you try to book like for example Rizin does there annual World Grand Prix, or like Dream did there bantamweight grand prix, they start with the tournament semis in their case, have fights between them, and finish with finals. So they have around 13 fights, and the semis would go on to the prelims this way.

Anyway, this was possible in WMMA3, so I'm only suggesting because hopefully it can be patched in with a small fix like tape delay was in TEW 2016.

Very few people tune in for the opening fights unless there is something crazy happening, which there hasn't been for a decade or so. So putting them on the prelims would be accurate.

Keep in mind also that 8 man-1 night tourneys only happen in the very smallest of small Japanese shows these days.

Maybe something could be put in to allow next day brackets, as RIZIN do today?

That is also a very good idea in my opinion, I would love it implemented.

About the lesser audience number you're right, but they still happen after the big opening show, and also a part of the whole online PPV broadcast unlike traditional prelims.

Anyway, I figured others would like this feature too, as it is a major help in immersion for me, but maybe that's not the case. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

They don't acknowledge it, but in the broadcast it is pretty clear that the "big fights" start when the show comes back from intermission, they even give a recap of the night and all.
