Brazil vs South America: Could they be separate game regions?

Recommended Posts

Since Brazil is a rather unique situation in South America with it's language barrier to the rest of Latin America and significant role in MMA over the years, could a case be made that it deserves to be it's own separate area from the rest of South America?

In real life a Brazilian superstar who could be a big deal in Brazil would likely not do so well in the other South American markets featured like Argentina and Colombia because of the language barrier.

Agreed! South America holds their own in Regional MMA. Peru is REALLY strong in MMA (not only in UFC but they have a lot of guys in international events and their local MMA scene is really growing) and it could be added as an area for South America as well.

Brazil has a LOT of areas that can be explored as their own game area. Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo of course and then you have The Amazon/North of the country, the Northeast and the South/Curitiba. All have produced their own shares of idols during the times. Rio has the Gracie Family and Rafael Dos Anjos, Sao Paulo produced Demian Maia and is the biggest city in the country, The Amazon/North came up with Jose Aldo, Lyoto Machida and many more, the Northeast has Renan Barao, Claudia Gadelha, JDS, Nogueira Brothers, while Curitiba/South came up with all the Chute Boxe legends (Anderson, Wanderlei, Shogun Rua, Cyborg and much more) and Werdum.

As someone that works with MMA, it would be amazing to see a more detailed Brazil in the game specially when you already have smaller territories like Australia already on their own.
