The Journey Begins

Well this is it, The journey begins. Rob says it's time for my first "real" fight. He thinks I'm ready despite my disapproval. Robert Cordero has been my MMA coach since I was 10 years old. When Rob says it's time....it's time. Ever since I was a kid i've always looked up to my cousin Christian "Overload" Mountfield. He was really more like my brother seeing as I am an only child. Christian started with Rob at a local gym called Platinum MMA located in Ann Arbor Michigan (Go Blue!) I use to tag along with Christian every chance I could. I would go to his Amateur fights before he turned pro every chance I could. Coach Rob always said Christian was a natural wrestler (like myself....according to Rob.) One of the best he's ever seen and definitely one of the best he's trained.

I still remember the day GAMMA signed Christian. Christian had been doing great on large local shows across the states he had compiled a record of 10-3. He was 26 at the time. Young and hungry. Christian won his first 3 fights over some tough competition and was on his way to becoming a top contender for a title shot.

Saturday May 26th 1997

GAMMA 17 was held in Cincinnati Ohio. I was 14 years old and I was in the crowd. It was a pretty big turn out. Not sure exact numbers but definitely thousands. Christian was fighting a tough Canadian fighter who was also a title contender by the name of Mike Watson. Christian dominated Watson in the first round. He came out fast and relentless. Something happened in the 2nd round. Christian was more hesitant, he seemed to lose everything that made him great in the first round. Christian was knocked out cold in 4 minutes of round 2. I had never seen Christian knocked out before. It was surreal to me. I never thought he could be knocked out especially so....brutally. I think it changed him. He lost a few more fights after that and was eventually released by GAMMA. One day when I went to the gym to train I saw Coach Rob and Christian arguing about something. Christian stormed out without saying a word to me or my family. He packed up and moved to Florida. Joined a gym called IMPACT MMA. Met a girl down there I heard, a fellow fighter named Vicki Summers. I looked her up. She use to fight for an organization called Woman's Extreme Fighting Federation out of Canada. She even fought for a title but lost a decision. She was eventually cut. Christian has had ups and downs since that KO loss. he's now 14-7 and has made his way back to GAMMA He is currently 1-1 on his return trip having lost his last outing by submission. I miss my cousin.

My first fight

My first professional fight will take place Thursday May 16th, 2002 In Akron Ohio. I can't believe I am getting paid to fight. Robb says it won't be anything crazy, but I don't care. I've trained hard for the past 10 years. I've won almost all of my amateur fights in spectacular fashion. I am a short heavyweight. I am 5'11. My wrestling is superb and I know I hit hard. Mike Tyson hard people. This is my beginning. I don't know where this journey will lead but you're welcome to play passenger. See you on the 16th!

The Weigh Ins

I weighed in at a solid 240 lbs. My opponent Jake Myers came in at the same. We have similar builds but he is around 6'2. I've never had a problem getting in and striking or taking down taller fighters. Coach Robb says I'm the quickest heavyweight he's seen. We've been working a lot on my kicks and takedown defense lately. I kick hard but have little technique. I always use to say who needs kicks when you can take anyone down or KO them? Then coach brought me down to reality with "You could face a few guys who can literally step over you, who do you think you're going to be fighting? Featherweights?". Weigh ins went off smooth, the crowd was obviously behind my opponent as this is his hometown after all. It's really going to suck knocking him out in front of his friends and family!

New Friends

I met a couple cool people who just happen to be on the same card. I met a dude named Ryan Beeker from Atlanta in the hotel pool. He's a bigggg welterweight. Looks like a light heavyweight to be honest. He came and sat right next to me in the hot tub....one that sits about 8 other people. "I thought it was you" was the first thing he said. "I saw you at the weigh ins, I'm sure you saw me...I am on the main card" I didn't know that but I pretended that I did and nodded my head. Ryan looked like he belonged in a boy band, or on the cover of a teen magazine. Kind of like a surfer. "Maybe after our win we can get a few drinks....pick up a couple ladies? My fight won't last that long...they never do". "I am only 19 I can't go clubbing man" I replied. "Do you KNOW who your talking to? I have connections bro. I am kind of a big deal around he-" He stopped here and I could tell something had caught his eye. I looked in the direction he was looking and saw two girls coming in that I had seen at the weigh ins, fellow fighters. "How do I look?" he said while nudging my side. "I don't judge guys Ryan." I said. He cupped some water and splashed it in my face. The girls saw us and came and sat next to us. Ryan was a social guy and immediately got to talking to a reece witherspoon looking girl named Diana England. I could tell she was from the south through her accent and was confirmed when Ryan started singing "Alllll my exes live in Texasss" I could tell they were hitting it off pretty good. I could hear them both bragging about how they were going to kick ass. I brag but it's to myself. To be honest I am pretty quiet and I like to think pretty respectful. "I'm Denise" said girl #2. "Arthur" I replied. Just then Ryan burst out laughing. "Jesus, I didn't know your name was Arthur". "What are you a butler?. I shot him a serious look and he put his arms up "Whoa just kidding man". "You look at the guy you're fighting like that tomorrow, and he'll refuse to fight you". People had always said I had a "look" to me. Intimidating. It's tough meeting girls when you look like a serial killer. I apologized to Denise and we got to talking. She told me she was from San Jose and she got into the sport at a very young age. She told me her pops ran a gym in California and was a gold medal Olympian at wrestling. "I love you" is what I wanted to say. We talked for a bit shared some laughs as a group. The girls went back to their rooms. Denise gave me her number and told me to come see her after the event. Before heading our separate ways, me and Ryan shook hands. When all was said and done, he seemed like a complete jerk....but cool. Just as he let my hand go he said "$50 I win quicker" and let my hand go. "Whoaaaa I didn't agree to that" I said. "You shook on it bro, don't be one of those guys" he replied. Before I could say another word he walked away....laughing. What a jerk. Ryan "The Jerk" Beeker ladies and gentleman.

<strong>Thursday May 16th, 2002</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Arthur "All In" Lockhart vs Jake "No Joke" Myers</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Round 1</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

Round 1 begins with both fighters rushing at each other throwing a flurry of punches. Neither one connects with any significant shots landing.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Lockhart</strong> throws a couple of pawing jabs trying to find range.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Myers</strong> attempts a counter jab that doesn't land.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Lockhart</strong> rushes in with a 4 punch combo. All find their mark. He finishes the combo with a vicious right hand that lands to the body of <strong>Myers.</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Myers</strong> immediately collapses to the floor. It looks like this fight is over <strong>Myers</strong> doesn't look like he can continue!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Arthur "All In" Lockhart wins via TKO in 0.53 of round #1!</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Post Fight</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I won my first professional fight!. I felt confident going in. I didn't feel like Myers was any different from the competition I had faced in my amateur fights. He had a record of 2-0. Now 2-1. It was a quick fight and it felt really good to end it the way I did. My TKO even made it on a couple national TV shows. I am happy to say Denise, Ryan and Diana all won their fights as well. Ryan by submission via strikes, Denise via TKO, and Diana via TKO. I congratulated the girls after the event and talked to Denise for quite awhile. I hope I see her around again, she's pretty cool. I told her i'd call her in a couple days and she gave me a kiss. I met up with Ryan after the fights he was his usual self "Did you see my fight?, I made that guy tap out from strikes". "Ya ya I saw it" I replied. "You did pretty good yourself man" he said, and I thanked him. *cough, cough* I held out my hand and rubbed my index finger and thumb together. "Ya I know Lockhart, I am a man of my word ya know. Let me go to my room and get your money" he said. He didn't come back. Ryan "The Jerk" Beeker had pulled a fast one. I hope I see him around, despite his crap he's alright. Well back to the grind.</p>

<p>Omega</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Week 1 of July</strong></p><p> </p><p>

What a summer it has been so far!. Where to begin. Kel Ryan the new super heavyweight champion was stripped after being caught using PEDS. I can't stand cheaters. My cousin had his contract extended by GAMMA. Speaking of GAMMA Ryan called me and told me a fellow fighter from the card in Ohio by the name of Jerry Benderoth (1-0) was signed by GAMMA. That's madness. I've heard new fighters being signed by smaller companies, but never anything like this. A little jealous to be honest. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Week 2 Of July</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Big news! no scratch that....HUGE news!. an organization out of Mexico have offered me a contract. Me and Robb flew down and met with their owner Dean Guest. I was ready to sign right there and then, but Robb wanted to give it a few weeks to think on it. Robb clued me in on OMEGA (company name). Their rules are styled like boxing. 12 rounds and 10 second knock down recovery time. Robb thinks I would do excellent in an organization like this because my boxing is one of my strongest skill sets. He said any other promotion so soon and he'd strongly suggest against it. He thinks it will be a perfect opportunity to make some money and improve upon my skills in a smaller promotion. Smaller promotion my butt!. There is some good talent in their heavyweight division. GAMMA veterans like John Rivero, Randall Donnally, and strong up and coming fighters like Damien Jones and Sly Twinge. I am super excited for my first fight. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Week 3 of July</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Well I have signed a 3 fight deal with OMEGA. Mr. Guest gave me a pretty nice signing bonus. I've been working on my kicks and submissions a lot lately and I know I still have a lot to learn. I think i am progressing nicely. I know I will be a tough fight for a lot of competition out there. I've been keeping in touch with Denise and Diana. They are doing well. They both moved to Canada and joined a gym there called Femme Fatale Fighting. I promised to come visit. Ryan called me to congratulate on the news but only after he told me about his very own deal with OMEGA. "Maybe now you can pay me that $50 you owe me hey?" I told him. "Double or nothing buddy" he said. Before I could respond he said "Seeing as we are both with OMEGA now, and seeing as we both signed a sweet deal and got that huge signing bonus". "We can afford to wager maybe a little more next fight" he said. "What" was all I got out before he cut me off and responded with "Ok ok....I know my contract was better and my signing bonus was probably a lot better so we will wager..... $200". I had a good laugh but to his surprise agreed. We made plans to meet up soon. Things are starting to move now and I am excited to really start getting serious about my MMA career.</p>

<p><strong>August week 1</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The girls have been signed to fight on a show in Ontario Canada. I have some family that live there so it'd be nice to go and visit. Christian was also booked for a fight against Bryan Van Den Hauwe at GAMMA 54 on the undercard in California. I was looking at OMEGA's rankings and me and Ryan are both ranked #20th....out of 20 fighters. Gotta start somewhere right? Sly Twinge was set to fight vs llson de Lima, but got injured. Nowwww Lima will be facing a guy I fought in the amateurs. John "doom" Draper is his name. Our fight was declared a majority draw. Now come October he will be fighting for OMEGA's vacant heavyweight title. Crazy stuff. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>August week 3</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Vicki Summers lost via TKO vs a low level fighter. She got beat pretty bad and the referee called it off in the first. I've never met her but feel bad. The girl who beat her had a record of 7-8. This definitely is a major step back for her. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>August week 4</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Denise and Diana both won their fights. Denise won via TKO in rd 2. Diana won TKO in rd 1. Both looked extremely impressive. I traveled out to Quebec to watch them. Ryan couldn't make it said he had some kind of photo shoot to do in Mexico. He thinks OMEGA is prepping him to be their poster boy. As strange as it sounds I don't doubt it. After the fights we went out for dinner and a couple drinks (Drinking age in Canada is 19 woot woot!). Me and Denise hung out after. I had a great time. I woke up Saturday morning to her telling me that John Draper is the new OMEGA champion. My blood started to boil. I know I am better then Draper. Robb says I have to be patient but it's so hard. I'm getting anxious for a fight. I've been training hard. I'm ready.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>September</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Not much to report for September. Still no fight for me or Ryan. Ryan begged me to ask Robb to let him come train at the gym. He said he wanted to be closer to Diana (they are dating now). I think it's because he's all alone in Atlanta. He has a brother he doesn't talk to for some reason and his parents don't support his career choice. I told him Robb said no (Robb said yes), the next week he was knocking on my door with a huge hockey type gym bag and sleeping in my spare room (I have a two bedroom apartment). Robb is happy Ryan is with us, he always says "Now I have two future champions training at my gym". Ryan is a great fighter. I've seen all his fights. He has all of them on a burned DVD disc that he plays regularly. He makes sure it's on the living room T.V so I can watch also. What a great friend huh?</p>

<p><strong>October Week 2, 2002</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Well my cousin lost his fight at GAMMA 54. His game plan was just off. Robb was screaming and cursing the whole fight calling his corner idiots. Round 1 and 2 Christian just kept trying to clinch and push his opponent against the cage. His opponent would reverse him and start using dirty boxing to punish him. This literally happened 7-8 times throughout rounds 1-2. Round 3 he took Bryan down right off the bat but literally did nothing except lay on him for two minutes until the ref stood them up. He just completely shut down. He lost the fight and was cut by GAMMA.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bryan Van Den Hauwe beat Christian Mountfield via UD (29-28 29-28 29-28)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>October week 3, 2002</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Well good news out of Japan. MMA has finally become regulated. NO MORE CHEATING!!! (Well significantly less amounts of cheating...hopefully).</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>October week 4, 2002</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Girls have a fight in middle of November on a small Canadian card in Ontario. Me and Ryan are probably going to go. I got a call from Dean Guest. Dean said I can expect a fight within the next couple months!. I've been working hard in the gym. Ryan being here with me is motivating me to train my ass off. He may joke around a lot, but he's all business in the gym.</p>

<p><strong>Week 3 November, 2002</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Denise and Diana won their fights. I knew they had a good chance of winning. Diana won by KO in round 1, and Denise won by TKO in round 1 due to strikes. After the event we went out to dinner. Diana was super excited to announce that she spoke with someone from WEFF and said they are definitely interested. </p><p>

I went back to Denise's room and we talked for awhile. She is happy for Diana but wants the same as Diana. They are both Bantamweights so I asker her "What are you going to do if they want to sign you and your first fight is against Diana?". "We will worry about that if and when it happens" she replied. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Week 3 December, 2002</strong></p><p> </p><p>

No status on when my fight will be. Dean is looking at possible opponents. Says he knows I have a lot of talent and potential so doesn't want to throw me to the wolves just yet. GAMMA opened up a featherweight division. There are a lot of good fighters out there at Featherweight. The top companies GAMMA and ALPHA - 1 never had a featherweight division. Good on GAMMA. </p><p> </p><p>

My MMA idol Hassan Fezzik beat Terron Cabal by submission in the 1st to retain the ALPHA -1 title. I want what every other fan of the sport wants. Foster Vs Fezzik. For years people have called for Foster to leave GAMMA and join ALPHA - 1 to prove he is the best. I don't know Foster but he seems like the type of guy to go where the money is. </p><p> </p><p>

WEFF have signed Diana!. She called me to brag all about her new deal and how it's even better than mine and Ryan's. Despite this, I'm happy for her. She's a great fighter and I think one day she will be a big star. God her and Ryan are made for each other. The call is definitely a Ryan move. I wouldn't doubt it if he put her up to it. I kind of laughed thinking of his face if she told him "Ryan i'll be making more money then you babe, but don't worry i'll take care of you".</p>

January, 2003

Happy new years! I've been working hard in the gym. I've been working on my elusiveness from strikes and take downs. Vicki Summers my cousins girl got a win via TKO in rd 1. She is now 9-5 and is going to have to work to get back in the spotlight. Not much else to report for January.

February, 2003

My birthday was on the 6th, 20 years old goodbye teenage years!. Denise won her fight by UD and I am proud to say she was offered and accepted a contract from WEFF. After her signing I took her out to celebrate. "If I have to fight Diana I will" she told me. "I won't enjoy it but who am I to ask for anything right now?" she explained. She did have a point. I am worry about her sometimes. She is a very careful fighter and doesn't take getting punched in the face well. I mean getting punched in the face sucks but you just keep going when you're in there. I noticed that sometimes it's like she loses her will.

March, 2003

Diana is booked to fight in April at WEFF 33 In Quebec. She will be fighting on the main card vs Hisae Asahi (4-0 - 0-0 WEFF). Denise was also booked for WEFF 33 as a fill in after a fighter was injured. She will be facing Ruth Becker (7-3 - 0-2 WEFF) on the prelims. She is stoked about the opportunity but extremely nervous. It's going to be televised.

Next Fight Announced!

Dean offered me a fight and of course I accepted. I will be fighting Bernard Alfredson (3-0 - 0-0 OMEGA) at the end of April in South Eastern Mexico. We've watched his fights. He is very strong and intimidating in there. He lacks technique and any REAL skill though. I won't underestimate him but I am very confident. "I can't believe they matched me with this washed up bum" Was all Ryan could say when he told me about his fight against Phill Ball (15-8 - 0-0 OMEGA). Robb had a talk with Ryan and told him to take his head out of his ass. "Phill Ball was once a contender, he has power and experience which you are lacking my friend" said Robb. Robb went on "If Phil shows up to fight and you aren't prepared you could be in trouble". Ryan agreed and since his outlook has changed.

<p>Thank you I am having a blast following these fighters and their stories. I am already advanced in to 2004! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

April, 2003</p><p> </p><p>

Vicki Summers will fight on a large canadian show out in British Columbia on the undercard vs Natassia Potocnik (6-3). The fight will take place in early May. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WEFF 33 in Quebec. </span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ruth Becker (7-3 - 0-2 WEFF) Vs Denise Phelan (5-0 - 0-0 WEFF)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>*Ruth Becker won by TKO (strikes) at 1:53 of round 1</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Denise was no match for Ruth. She was taken down and from there Ruth just pounded on her. The ref stopped the fight. Denise was devastated. Her dad was there to watch. Denise will be out of action for a couple months on a medical suspension. She told me her dad wants her to go out to California and be with her family. She is going to go. "I think it will do me good to get home and be around familiar faces" She told me. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hisae Asahi (4-0 - 0-0 WEFF) Vs Diana England (5-0 - 0-0 WEFF)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>* Hisae Asahi won by Submission (armbar) in round 3 at 2:20</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Diana actually fought really well. She dominated the whole fight knocking Hisae down 3 times during the first 2 rounds. Diana came close to ending the fight in the 2nd when she rocked Hisae with a right hook and put her down. She got on top of her but couldn't put her away. In round 3 Hisae took Diana down and wound up submitting her. "The damn referee should have stopped it in the 2nd" she kept saying. "what did they want me to kill her?" she said. Truthfully if I was in there I would have made the same call as the ref (Don't tell her I said that). </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">OMEGA Point Of Impact 1 In South Eastern Mexico</span></strong></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Ryan Beeker (3-0 - 0-0 OMEGA) Vs Phil Ball (15-8 - 0-0 OMEGA)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>* Ryan Beeker beat Phil Ball By Submission (strikes) in 3:31 of round 3</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Ryan is such an ass. He put on a show the whole fight. Flipping off his opponent, dancing and shaking, and talking smack the whole fight. He dominated it and could have ended it in the first no problem. Every time he would take Ball down he'd smack him. I had a talk with him after the fight and told him he was disrespectful. "It's about what goes on in there that matters man" he said after. "There are so many fighters out there". "I just want to stand out" he said. I understood to an extent. Even if I didn't agree with his ring/cage antics he was still my friend. Ryan finally put him away in the third when he took Ball down and began to pound on him. Ball tapped to strikes. The crowd loved it.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Arthur Lockhart (1-0 - 0-0 OMEGA) Vs Bernard Alfredson (3-0 - 0-0 OMEGA)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>* Arthur Lockhart beat Bernard Alfredson via TKO in in 0:31 of round 2.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I won my first company fight!. Bernard was very strong and kept pushing me around with ease. If he had any skill besides his strength he'd be dangerous, but fortunately for me he didn't. Once he'd back me up, I'd use my quickness and wrestling skills to turn him around. He would grab me though, and I was having a tough time doing anything in the first. "Don't mess around with this guy" Robb told me in between rounds. "You're quicker than him, get in and let your hands go" he advised. It payed off. He threw a jab, I slipped under it, and threw a punch to his ribcage as hard as I could. He crumpled to the floor immediately. The referee waved it off. The crowd went wild. 2 pro fights both ended by body shots. I felt amazing.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">And On We Go</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">May, 2003</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vicki Summers</strong> won her fight via UD vs Natassia Potocnik (6-3). The judges all scored it 30-27. Vicki improved to 10-5. She looked really good this fight. She signed to WEFF after her win. She is a bantamweight. This means she could fight Diana or Denise somewhere down the road. This is going to be interesting.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Christian</strong> will fight in Minnesota in June vs Justin Brannagh (8-5) on the main card of of a large local show.</p>

June, 2003

*Christian Mountfield beat Justin Brannagh via UD (30-27 29-28 29-28)

My cousin got a win and improved to 16-8. The fight was decent. In my opinion it was closer than what the judges called. I had Christian winning rounds 1 and 3, but in round 2 I thought Brannagh took it. I think it could have gone either way though, I thought it was that close.

July, 2003

Me and Ryan extended our contracts with OMEGA. I guess I should mention that they are not exclusive contracts, so we are free to other promotions. Truth be told we are both put off by our lack of fights. I know we just fought but we are both healthy and ready to fight every month if need be. I just want to get my name out there. I have garnished a lot of attention with back to back wins by body shots. I've been featured on media outlets everywhere.

August, 2003

My cousin will fight next month in Florida on a large local show down there. He will be on the main card and is facing a young fighter I don't know much of. He is a local fighter out of Florida. If he gets the win it'll put him at 17-8 and will give him a 3 fight winning streak. I miss my cousin and I wish him the best. I hope he can win this and get back to a promotion.

September, 2003

*Christian Mountfield beat Local Florida fighter via UD (30-27 30-27 29-28)

My cousin improved to 17-8 and clinched his 3rd win in a row. The fight in truth was poor. He looked sloppy and sluggish. He didn't really do anything the whole fight except take the kid down a bunch of times. Once on the ground, he didn't do anything except lay on him. I know he wants to get back with GAMMA or another large promotion, but he isn't going to get there this way though.

In other news Hassan Fezzik beat Terron Cabal in one of the greatest fights i've ever seen. Cabal simply brutalized Fezzik the whole fight. Cabal used combos to put Fezzik on the ground over 5 times easy. There were a couple times when I thought Fezzik was out but he was able to regain his composure and hold off. 4th round was much of the same Cabal knocked Fezzik to the ground but I don't think Fezzik was hurt at all. Cabal went in to finish and Fezzik sprang up and did this kind of spear to Cabal. Fezzik landed in a 69 position and was able to slap on a north south choke for the win. Amazing stuff!.

October, 2003 AKA I feared this would happen.

WEFF Slam 3 in early December. Denise will fight Vicki Summers. Denise doesn't know Christian is my cousin which leads to she also doesn't know my cousin is dating her next opponent. This is ugly. I've been going to her fights but I am very tempted to skip this fight. I bet my cousin will be there unless he gets booked to fight. This will definitely be awkward. It's been a couple years since I spoke to my cousin. Knowing my luck, we will end up sitting next to each other. Diana will also be on the card fighting Tiiu Kass (12-1 - 0-1 WEFF) This could be a tough fight for her. One thing about Diana is you can never count her out.

November, 2003 AKA Phew

My cousin will be fighting Junior Patinkin a couple days before WEFF slam 3 :). Which meanssss he definitely won't be there to watch Vicki. He will be training. He will be co main eventing a large local show out of Alaska. Patinkin is a great fighter and this will be a tough fight. Patinkin fought a few years back versus Spencer Rubenstein for the GAMMA light heavyweight title. He was KO'ed in the first but he made it to a title fight. If Christian can get the win I think that'll be enough to get him back in GAMMA. Hopefully.

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">It Begins</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

I have signed to GAMMA! They contacted me about a contract. I met with Matt Trip and signed the contract that day. Robb tried to talk me out of it, but I wasn't hearing it. "Robb I know you don't think it's a good idea, but hear me out" I pleaded. "You've said life goes by quick, and you have to make the most of it". "This is my shot Robb" I said. "Anything can happen at anytime and doubt will kill more dreams than failure ever will". "I just don't want to pass on this opportunity" I said. "What's the worst that can happen? I lose a few fights and get cut?" I asked. "I am young Robb if it doesn't happen now there is still time for it later" I said. At the end of our talk he gave me his blessing and vowed to stick by and see this ride through. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Legacy Ruined</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Go Yamamoto was caught in a hotel room with 3 prostitutes. Not long after he was released from ALPHA-1. Not long after that he retired at the age of 39. He was a former champion of one of the biggest if not biggest companies in the world. It's sad when things like this happen but he made his own choices.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Christian Mountfield (17-8) Vs Junior Patinkin (17-4-1)</strong></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

*Junior Patinkin beats Christian Mountfield via SD (28-29 30-27 30-27)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Christian lost his fight. He was dominated the whole fight and in my opinion it was definitely a unanimous decision instead of a split decision. He doesn't seem to be the fighter he once was. Back then he has no problem taking guys down and pounding them out. Now if he can even get a takedown he just lays on top of the guy. He needs to come home to Platinum MMA where he belongs.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WEFF Slam 3</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Well it turns out Christian was at the show after all but things went pretty good actually. He saw me and came up said hello and gave me a hug. He even congratulated me on the GAMMA contract. "Do what I couldn't cousin" he said "bring home a title". He asked me where I was sitting and I told him a few rows back (more than a few actually). He had me move to cageside and I complied. Finally he told me he knew why I was here and that it was unfortunate we had to meet up like this. We talked quite a bit actually and I thought maybe he would be upset with me still being at Platinum and training with Robb. "Stay there cuz, trust me" he said. "Robb is the ultimate coach and under him you'll do great things". To this day I don't know what happened or why he left. Robb doesn't like to talk about it.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Show</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Denise Phelan (5-1 - 0-1 WEFF) Vs Vicki Summers (10-5 - 1-3 WEFF)</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

*Vicki Summers beat Denise Phelan via KO at 2:36 of round 3</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Poor Denise I feel so bad for her. She was doing pretty good the first 2 rounds against Vicki. She was utilizing her jabs effectively. Vicki's wrestling was too good for Denise though. Everytime Denise would get some momentum going Vicki would take her down and just demolish her. In the 3rd Vicki took Denise down and pounded her out cold. Denise will be out for 5 months on a medical suspension. Her father will be coming to Femme Fatale to help her train while she is off. I am starting to think Denise just doesn't have what it takes to make it in the sport. On the big stage for that matter. She just doesn't have that killer instinct. Denise thought she was going to be cut but to her surprise she wasn't and will fight in WEFF again.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Diana England (5-1 - 0-1 WEFF) Vs Tiiu Kass (12-1 - 0-1 WEFF)</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

* Diana England beat Tiiu Kass via TKO in 0:33 of round 2</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Diana came in to this fight as a big underdog. I am happy to report she dominated Kass. She came out very aggressive and was relentless never giving her opponent time to breathe. She TKO'ed Kass in the 3rd and the crowd loved her. During her interview after the fight she called out Hisae Asahi (handed Diana her first loss). "I'm going to kick you ass" she screamed in to the mic and the crowd went wild. </p><p>

</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">

First GAMMA Fight Booked!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I am very excited to announce my first GAMMA fight has been announced. It will be held at GAMMA 64 in Nevada. It will be held in February against Sly Twinge my co OMEGA alumni. Robb thinks this a clearly a ploy by GAMMA to throw me to the wolves. Sly is 12-0 professionally and Robb thinks they are going to try and build him up. We are going to have to derail the hype train!. It is still surreal to me to be fighting in GAMMA. It's crazy to think I can be fighting the likes of James Foster or Tim Boyer soon. These guys are legends of the sport!.</p>

Ya I was surprised as well. I wanted him to build up in smaller promotions first. His popularity was set at zero for all regions. Even now he is only 38.2% mid level regional in U.S. If I could guess it might be because I gave him world class wrestling and boxing skills orrrr because he won both his opening fights by spectacular body shots <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">January, 2004 Happy New Year!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

GAMMA cut Sean Morrison!. I was shocked. He was on a 3 fight losing streak but the guy is just such a legend I thought they'd have him around forever. </p><p> </p><p>

Ryan is angry. He hasn't fought in like a year and he is fed up with OMEGA. "This Guest has me over doing photo shoots and all this other stuff and for what?" he said. "What is he doing? keeping all this stuff for personal use?" I laughed at this. I can understand his anger with OMEGA completely. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">February, 2004 Let's Get It On!!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Christian has been booked to fight early March on a large show out of Vermont. He will be fighting on the main card against a young local star. Diana has been going after Asahi on social media and is campaigning for a rematch. I think Diana just got careless and made a mistake. She was after all taking the fight to Asahi until she got caught. Asahi responded and accepted Diana's challenged and called Diana's antics desperate and childish. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">GAMMA 64 From Nevada - First Fight With GAMMA!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Arthur Lockhart (2-0 - 0-0 GAMMA) Vs Sly Twinge (12-0 - 0-0 GAMMA)</p><p> </p><p>

I came out strong in round 1 throwing punches in bunches and getting out before Twinge could counter or attempt to clinch/grapple. I was peppering him with 4-5 punch combos that were landing clean. He eventually got a hold of me near the end of the round and pushed me up against the cage. I kept my guard tight but he landed a few good shots. 2nd round was pretty much the exact same as the first round. Robb told me to stick to doing what I did in the first. In and out. Twinge got a hold of me again near the end of the 2nd and pushed me up against the cage. He landed some good body shots and a few knees. The third Twinge came running at me opening bell and we ended up in a hug. He pushed me back, and as he was doing this, I nailed him with a shot to the ribs. He collapsed on his hands and kness clutching his ribs. I jumped on his back and began to pound on him. A few big shots got through and the ref stopped the fight. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Post Fight Interview</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Interview conducted by Mason Green (MG)</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MG:</strong> How does it feel to win your first fight in GAMMA?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AL:</strong> Great! Sly was a tough fighter and I think we put on a great show for the fans.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MG:</strong> Yes it was a good fight as rated by the fans. Tell us what went on at the end of the fight.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AL:</strong> He came out charging and we kind of collided with eachtoher. He kind of shoved me back a bit but not far enough. It was all just instinct on my part. I saw an opening and I took it. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MG:</strong> You have devastating body shots! you almost ended this fight with a third consecutive TKO by body shot.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AL:</strong> My coaches at Platinum MMA are world class trainers. I have natural punching power and we have been working hard on getting my technique down. I am able to just dig in and unleash. I visualize what I have to do and do it. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MG:</strong> What's next for you? </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AL:</strong> I don't do call outs man. Whoever GAMMA wants me to fight I will. I have a lot of respect for fighters in general but it takes a lot to get to this level. I'm lucky to be here and grateful for the opportunity.</p><p> </p><p>

MG: Anything else you'd like to say?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AL:</strong> I want to give a shout out to all my coaches at Platinum MMA especially coach Robb. I also want to give special shout outs to some good friends who have been by me and will continue to be by me. The four horsemen.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Aftermath</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

"You do realize there are 2 females in your so called 4 horsemen?" Ryan jabbed. "That's the best you could come up with?" he asked. "I don't know man" I said in defense. "That's just what popped in to my head" I explained. Denise and Diana thought it was sweet I shouted them out. The show was a sellout with over 8,000 in attendance. It was fueled by the main event of Spencer Rubenstein Vs Anthony LeToussier for the Light Heavyweight title. These two had been going back and forth over the internet and interviews for a couple years. Rubenstein won the fight by TKO in 1 but the fight was made a no contest when Rubenstein failed a drug test. It was revealed his results showed signs of TRT usage. LeToussier was livid. On another note I am now officially a RANKED GAMMA heavyweight. According to their website I am ranked 24th. Only going up from here.</p>

March, 2004

*Christian Mountfield beat Local fighter via UD (30-27 30-27 30-27)

Christian got an easy win over a low level fighter. He dominated the fight but won't gain any attention with his win. The fans were booing most of the fight. He is now 18-9 and 4-1 on the indy circuit.

April, 2004

"A year Lockhart! A year!" Ryan came in to the gym saying. "I haven't fought in a year". "I swear I am out the first chance I get" he confessed. I did understand his frustration. I mean don't get me wrong it's good to have some time off and sharpen your skills but a year off? when you're healthy and could fight 4-5 times a year.

May, 2004

Christian has been booked to fight in early June. He will fight on the main card vs a local fighter who isn't known to well. The event will take place out of Minnesota. Also in the news, Vicki Summers has resigned to WEFF.

June, 2004

*Christian Mountfield beat Local Fighter via KO in 1:43 of round 3.

Christian won his fight by KO. Ground and pounded him out cold actually. He looked really impressive like his old self. In other news Diana resigned with WEFF and should be fighting soon or as she put it "Whooping ass".

July, 2004 Okkkk........

WEFF 40 has been announced. Vicki Summers (10-5 - 2-3 WEFF) Vs Liz Brunnell (6-1 - 1-1 WEFF) on prelims. Oh ya did I forget to mention Denise and Diana were offered a fight.....vs eachother....and they accepted. "We talked about it and accepted it" Denise explained. "Why the hell would you do that?" I asked. "You guys are best friends". "We will remain best friends" Denise said chuckling like it was a joke. "Look they offered us a fight Arthur, who are we to turn it down?" She said. "I thought I was on my way out losing both my fights, but they gave me a chance to prove I belong here" she said. "I have to do it" she said firmly. After she explained it I understood better. She is right. She is 0-2 and if she refused the fight who knows. I am not sure if she can beat Diana. If she can use her wrestling she has a chance. Denise is a great wrestler but Diana is a great striker so we will have to see. Ryan loves the idea of it. He literally wants to bet on the fight. "Diana is going to win. No doubt" he declared. "I am so confident in my girl i'll wager hmmmm.....my fight purse." he said confidently. "Ya maybe once you pay me the money you still owe me Mr. double or nothing" I said. "That was years ago man, you need to let go of the past" he said trying to get out of it. Ryan was booked on the next OMEGA card at the end of August. He will fight Garth Neill (6-1 - 0-1 OMEGA) on the prelims and he is already bragging on how he is going to spend his bonus money. "Fight of the night for sure hmmmm..... with knockout of the night or submission of the night to go with it." I got a good laugh out of that. "Maybe all three" he said in wonder lost in his own madness.

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">August, 2004 - Fezzik update, A retirement, The girls rumble and Beeker.</span></strong></p><p>

Fezzik got KO'ed! In a good fight that was back and forth for the first 2 rounds Fezzik was ultimately KO'ed by Hiro Arai. Arai opened both the 1st and 2nd rounds swinging and tagging Fezzik. Halfway through both rounds Fezzik would take Arai down and try and slap on a submission. Then came the 3rd where Fezzik shot in for a takedown at the opening bell and was caught by a knee that had him falling on to his hands and knees. Arai jumped on him and just obliterated him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WEFF 40 in Ontario</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Liz Brunnell (6-1 - 1-1 WEFF) Vs Vicki Summers (10-5 - 2-3 WEFF)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Vicki came out strong in the first round taking Brunnell down early in the round and doing some good ground and pound. There was a moment I thought she put her out. Brunnell recovered and managed to get up where she continued to get peppered with jabs by Summers. Summers came out strong again in the second landing a takedown. Once on top of Brunnell Vicki was able to secure the TKO win when Brunnell tapped due to strikes. To everyone's surprise in her post fight interview she announced her retirement to focus on her family and life outside of the cage. Vicki retires at 32 years old with a career record of 12-5. The biggest highlight of her career was fighting for the WEFF bantamweight championship title back in July of 1998. She lost a UD to Michelle Adams in the main event of WEFF 7. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>*Vicki Summers beat Liz Brunnell via TKO in 4:44 of round 2.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Diana England (6-1 - 1-1 WEFF) Vs Denise Phelan (5-2 - 0-2 WEFF)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

This is it the moment you've been waiting for and I've been dreading. I will get right to it. After a touch of gloves and hug in the centre of the cage they both came out swinging. I didn't like this idea on Denise's part. Denise held her own for 3 quarters of the 1st round. Both landed some good shots. Denise managed a takedown with under a minute remaining. Denise landed a few powerful punches that hurt Diana. Just when I thought the ref was going to end it, the bell rang. The 2nd round started off the same as the first with a high five this time. The crowd was in to it. Diana came out firing and landed a few heavy shots that rocked Denise. How she was still standing mid round was nothing short of amazing. Denise switched up the game plan and landed a quick take down on Diana with 2 minutes to go. She landed a few good shots before Diana was able to get up. With one minute left Denise took Diana down again and began to bring the pain. Round 3 was all Denise!. Her wrestling was superb and she took Diana down 3 times in the 3rd alone. She tried to work a couple of submissions but wasn't able to seriously threaten Diana with anything. At the end of the fight I scored it 29-28 for Denise. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Denise Phelan beat Diana England via UD in round 3. (29-28 29-28 30-27)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After the fight Denise resigned to WEFF. She could now rest a little easier that she was going to be around a little longer after all.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">OMEGA: LeFleur Vs Silvers</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Garth Neill (6-1 - 0-1 OMEGA) Vs Ryan Beeker (4-0 - 1-0 OMEGA)</span></strong></p><p>

It's important to note that Ryan had been a madman in the gym working hard on his cardio. In case I haven't mentioned it, OMEGA fights go 12 rounds.....at 5 minutes a round!. Ryan's fight went as you'd expect. A lot of show boating. Ryan actually looked pretty amazing show boating aside. He utilized his wrestling and was able to get 6/10 takedowns through out the fight. He didn't do a whole lot on the ground but it still added up. Neill was tired mid fight and began to look sloppy. After the 6th Ryan was able to clinch with Neill and land some great knees from the clinch to the body and face. Ryan's take downs after the 6th round were impressive. He actually used some good ground and pound in the later rounds. Neill didn't really have an answer to Ryan's takedowns or knees from the clinch.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>*Ryan Beeker beat Garth Neill via UD in round 12. (117-110, 118-110, 116-112)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Post fight interview Ryan used his time to brag about his undefeated record. When asked what is next for him he smiled and said "Bigger and better things my friend.....bigger and better things" </p><p> </p><p>

Not long after Ryan was signed to GAMMA.</p><p> </p><p>

Ryan is becoming very popular. He even has this thing called a "blog" on GAMMA's website where you can ask him anything you want (literally guys feel free to role play and ask him something)</p>

Beeker - Now that you are in GAMMA who do you see as your top three fights initially? More specifically who do you see as a first fight no challenge really, 50/50 match that could go against you if your not prepared, and one that may be a reach for your current skill level and record?

Christian Mountfield (19-9) Vs Ricky Heath (17-7)

Christian was on a large local show out of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was up against GAMMA vet Ricky Heath. Heath dominated the fight. He picked apart Christian with leg kicks, jabs, and excellent take down defense. Christian tried for 6 take downs and landed none. I am starting to think Christian may be done as a fighter. He just doesn't have it anymore. The fire and determination are gone.

*Ricky Heath beat Christian Mountfield via UD in round 3. (29-28, 30-26, 29-27)

October, 2004

Sean Morrison retired at 37. Morrison held the GAMMA Lightweight title for 5 years from 1995-2000. He made 7 defenses and will go down as one of the greatest fighters to ever step in the cage. In other news me and Denise are getting pretty serious. We are officially a couple!.

November, 2004

Matthew Dean finally lost!. Neil Napier beat Matthew Dean by TKO in round 3. Dean had made 12 successful defenses of the Middleweight title prior to this loss and held the belt since 1996. I looked in to it and he's 35 years old. He definitely still has some time to make another run.

Fight Announcement!

Well here's the news you all have been waiting for! I have been booked for my 2nd GAMMA fight. It will be held in Las Vegas Nevada in the middle of February. My opponent will be Vs Antonio Rimando (4-0 - 3-0 GAMMA). He is a submission specialist so I am going to have to keep it standing. He is a BJJ black belt. I remember watching him on GAMMA's clash of the titans reality show. He made it to the 2nd round before he was beat by GAMMA vet Sylvester Collins. He's won his first 3 GAMMA fights by Submission so i'll definitely be working on my submission defense and takedown defense for this fight.

December, 2004

Happy holidays everyone!. I re-signed to GAMMA. OMEGA offered me an exclusive contract also to come back and fight. I respectfully declined. My new deal with GAMMA has afforded me the opportunity to focus solely on training and fighting. Me and Ryan also moved in to a new apartment now that we are making some decent money. Every time I do something to bother him now, he will stop what he's doing and look at me and say "You better watch it Lockhart before I move to Heavyweight and kick your ass". I usually reply with "Ryan, I'll tie my hands behind my back and beat you up with my ass, which you supposedly can kick, if you're not careful". I think his arrogance is rubbing off on me a little.

January, 2005

Happy New Year friends! Just a couple years ago I was new to this whole blogging thing. Now I pride myself as somewhat of a pro. Affonso Villar was awarded fighter of the year going 3-0 winning all 3 by KO. His 2004 wins were over Jin Katou, Zvonimir Asanovic and Tadamasa Yamada. The female fighter of the year was awarded to Daniela Sadorra who went 2-0 in 2004 with both wins coming by TKO. She had wins over Clare Peyton and Jenny DeNueve which was for the WEFF Flyweight championship title.

Denise is booked to fight in the middle of February Vs Mizuki Watanabe. Watanabe is a top ranked Bantamweight fighter. She is a serious fighter and was once a Champion in Japan. Unfortunately I won't be able to go to this fight as my fight is the day before.

In other news Phillipe Ziske has finally signed to GAMMA. After dominating competition in XCC for years he has finally made the transition to big time fights. Fans have been calling on Ziske to sign with either GAMMA or Alpha-1 since both companies have opened their doors to a Featherweight division. Exciting times people.

Thank you for joining the Beeker fanclub!. News and information will automatically be sent to you're email without permission.

initially top 3 fights are probably against nobodies. I am a superstar so they are probably going to want to hype me up a bit. Get some easy wins. First fight no challenge would be Simon Vine. Old washed up fighter, mid ranked. Remember kids....tattoos don't make you tough. They do have the potential to make you ugly, which Vine is already. 50/50 i'd say Jack Humphreys. I dig his style and his look. He's a cool SOB and I like to think we are similar in our style and personality. I'd definitely beat him though. He's like 40 or 45. Boy my reach can touch anyone. Did that make sense? It sounded good when I said it to myself. Look the Welterweight division isn't ready for a fighter like me. I am a breath of fresh air. Anyone they put my up against is going to be in for a tough fight. I am young and very talented. I am only going to keep going up from here because a star belongs amongst other stars (That slogan is mine so don't try stealing it)

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">February, 2005</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Christian will be fighting early next month against a fighter named Big Magic. I kid you not, that is his name. Big Magic is famous for his street fight videos that appeared on the internet in 99-2000. I have to admit I was interested in them and watched them. He's got some power in his hands but that's about it. I'd say it'll be an easy win for Christian. He will be on the main card out of Georgia.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WEFF 42 from Toronto, Ontario.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Denise Phelan (6-2 - 1-2 WEFF) Vs Mizuki Watanabe (11-4 - 2-0 WEFF)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Watanabe came out in the first firing from all angles and landing. Denise didn't offer much defense. Watanabe put Denise down half way through the round with an uppercut, mounted her, and started raining down punches. The referee called the fight and Denise lost the fight against an opponent she just wasn't ready for. She won't listen to reason. She's just not good enough yet to face the level of competition that Watanabe is. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>*Mizuki Watanabe beat Denise Phelan via TKO at 3:13 of round 1. </strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">GAMMA 70 from Las Vegas Nevada</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>#22 Arthur Lockhart (3-0 - 1-0 GAMMA) Vs #18 Antonio Rimando (4-0 - 3-0 GAMMA)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Round 1 I found my speed was to much for him to handle. I would get in pepper him with a nice combo then get out before he could counter. Everytime he'd try and grapple I'd just let loose. It was a good strategy that kept him away. I did end up cutting him above his left eye near the end of the round. In between rounds Robb told me to keep getting in and out like I did in the first. He also wanted me to work the jab and try and worsen the cut. 2nd round I was able to effectively keep him away from me with jabs and leg kicks. This was the round I knew my speed was to much for him to handle. I was throwing leg kicks and also punching his thighs. He tried to take me down but thanks to my take down defense training me and Robb had been working on he wasn't able to. Near the end of the round I went to throw a jab to his thigh and he ended up throwing a kick at the same time. His leg ended up colliding with my hand and I broke my wrist. 3rd round my right hand was useless. I don't think he caught on. By this time my kicks had done a lot of damage to his left leg and he was limping pretty good. He became hesitant in his offense and anytime he'd come forward i'd fake a kick and have him thinking twice. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>*Arthur Lockhart beat Antonio Rimando via UD in round 3. (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) </strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Post Fight</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

There were no interviews for me. I think it's because the fashion I won. Good news - I am now ranked #20th in GAMMA. More good news me and Denise are going to be spending a week in Las Vegas. I am 21 now after all. I am not really a gambling man, but I do like to have a few cold ones every once and awhile. There is bad news however. My broken wrist has sidelined me at least 5 months. In other news Anthony Letoussier has just been popped for recreational drug use. After he lost to Rubenstien he went on this tirade about how big of an ass Spencer was and that he'd never stoop to a level so disgusting.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">March, 2005</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Denise's fight Vs Mizuki Wantanabe has been declared a no contest after she failed a drug test. It was found she tested positive for recreational drugs. Denise is understandably upset. It is an unfortunate part of the sport. You train your ass off. Losing is one thing, but losing to a cheat is a whole other ball park. Diana will face Liz Brunnell (6-2 - 1-2 WEFF) early next month on the prelims of WEFF 43 out of Ottawa Ontario. Brunnell is coming off a loss to Vicki Summers in her last fight. I was going to do a write up on Christian's fight against Big Magic but I am to disgusted to do it. Magic KO'ed Christian. That's all I will say. I am sorry if I seem bitter. I know how good Christian was at one time and he was so much better than that. Every year Alpha-1 holds these one night tournaments where fighters fight for the chance to win the grand prix. I really enjoy them. I think all weight classes are allowed because there was this guy who looked like a super heavyweight fighting a guy I know had to be a middleweight. It's wild but it makes for a superb night of fights. I will be following more closely from now on.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>#22 Diana England (6-2 - 1-2 WEFF) Vs #20 Liz Brunnell (6-2 - 1-2 WEFF)</strong></p><p>

Round 1 Diana came out strong landing some nice combos on Brunnell. Near the end of the round she cut Brunnell with a glancing elbow she landed after Brunnell got her in the clinch. Round 2 Brunnell clinched with Diana early in the round and muscled her up against the cage. From here she used a mixture of knees, foot stomps and short range punches to frustrate Diana. The ref kept the fight going as Brunnell was actually putting in work. Diana just couldn't break free of the clinch and she spent most of the round against the cage getting beat up. She did manage to re-open the cut Brunnell had suffered in the 1st. In the 3rd Diana tried to keep Brunnell back with jabs and kicks but ultimately wound up clinched against the cage. Instead of the same routine Brunnell applied in the 2nd, she switched it up and took Diana down. Diana had no answer and couldn't do anything. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Post Fight Shenanigans</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

After the bell Diana was - excuse my language - pissed right off. She went on an expletive filled tirade against Brunnell. "You know you couldn't take me in a real fight, that's why you used all those P**** moves" she screamed. She even finished her water and threw the empty bottle at her while saying "Like you, nothing B****". The crowd loved it but I can imagine management didn't take it well. Diana was notified of her release from WEFF the next morning. </p><p> </p><p>

Beeker has a fight!. Beeker will fight at GAMMA 74 in California in early August. His opponent is 12-0 and 4-0 in GAMMA who goes by the name Evan Pizzarro. Robb thinks this is a dangerous match for Ryan. Evan is an accomplished judo practitioner and has superb submission skills. His weakness is his striking. Unfortunately Ryan isn't exactly the greatest striker either so he's going to have to play it smart and safe. Take him down and grind out the win. </p><p> </p><p>

We have a newcomer to the gym by the name of Guy Moss. He is actually pretty well known within the MMA community and especially known within the wrestling circles. You see Guy competed in the Olympics in 2004. He didn't medal but to even qualify is quite the achievement. Robb's always told me I have Olympic potential. I introduced myself to Guy. He's pretty laid back. He can be a little serious at times but it's more of a motivated thing. He's also pretty quiet and doesn't say much. He will open up to us eventually. New gym jitters. Ryan doesn't like him. "I'm telling you man, the guy's a serial killer or something". "Do you see how serious he is all the time?" Ryan reported. "He reminds me of the Chinese guy in blood sport who stomps on Jackson's head". "You know, where Frank goes NOOOOOO in slow motion ( he actually did the slow motion part) and it's just a shot of his crazy ass face stomping on Jackson's head". "That's him man" Ryan said. In all honesty I think Ryan is a little jealous. Ryan prides himself on his wrestling. Guy has OLYMPICS on his resume and I think it's on Ryan's mind.</p>
