My Local To Global (Story/LiveStream)

Recommended Posts

After coming to grips with the game and getting the hang of some features ive decided i will start my own Local to Global on the C-Verse and see if i really can get to Global in a rather long term save and live stream the whole experience, making storylines, interacting with chat, having our very own heroes and villains and everything else involved!

Story Aspect (idea)

But rather than just flood this thread with me going live on Twitch and shoving my channel down everyone's throat im going to also try and do a story based highlights recap of all the shows here on the forums as i think it will give people who maybe dont like watching live streams or missed a couple streams the chance to catch up in the sense and see who has been winning/ losing etc or for anyone who just likes to read how other peoples saves are going. I will do it show by show basis and try make it as detailed as possible so people can actually relate to it in certain ways.

I will start this tonight around 7-8pm GMT for anyone interested to come by and check it out and hopefully the story side will help more people relate to the save as i really enjoy getting others involved and sharing my experiences in the game so hopefully people enjoy the shows/read as much as i enjoy doing them.

Introduction + 1st Main Show - Blastoff

Introduction

Company Name:Extreme Spartan Combat

Company Location:Scotland, British Isles

Starting Weight Classes:Heavyweight, Middleweight, Lightweight

Difficulty:Rock Hard

ESC 1: Blastoff

So after getting the initial location/weight classes out the way i started by hiring 6-8 workers for every weight class between 100-250 dollars per show to ensure i employed the safest tactics for early game finances with the only exception being i added 1 worker with Low Regional name value to help build the other in there division/ main event the early shows and speaking of shows this is how the first ever show went, lets blastoff!

Main Event

(H) Micheal Dali vs Vlasta Nykl

Micheal Dali was our "big name" recruit to carry the heavyweight division for the short term and oh boy did he show why, he totally mauled Nykl in under 1 minute of the first fight and brought the fight to a complete stop, not only will this push Nykl down the my personal rankings for a while it also makes me think you could possibly match this machine in my early game roster!

Co-Main Event

(M) Roland Bristow vs Owen Jackson

Our co-main event gave us another "big name" as Owen Jackson who is our Low Level name value Middleweight fighter was up against heavy underdog Roland Bristow who is known for his karate fighting style.

This fight ended in similar fashion, only difference being the underdog got not only the win but Knock Out Of The Night in what was a huge upset he knocked Jackson out after 4 minutes of the first round with a flurry of punches which gave him the win almost out of nowhere as he was about to lose the first round to Jackson for sure, huge shock here.

Others

(L)Neil Entopolski vs Alan Gallagher

Our Fight Of The Night saw Entopolski win by submission using a Rear Naked Choke on Gallagher deep into the third round, one main factor being the lack of stamina from Gallagher to keep himself in the fight in what was a very close bout 1 round each going into the last round, i think Gallagher can for sure improve of this and come back with more solid fights as for Entopolski this for sure catapults him into the top 4 mix for the first ever title shot in the Lightweight class.

(L)Tommy Ray vs Adam Liddell

This fight was awarded Submission Of The Night, Tommy Ray winning by Rear Naked Choke in the 2nd in what was a very convincing and impressive performance against a fighter i wasnt expecting to be as good as they turned out, Lidell who im sure will bag some wins in this division down the road.

(H)Henry Hooper vs Dmitry Gomolov

The second Heavyweight fight of the night after our Main Event,

this fight went to a split decision and it went in favour of Hooper in what was a very back and fourth match, but the biggest talking point was arguably the fact that not only myself but the narrator scored this to Gomolov so it definitely creates the chance of a rematch down the line, in what many could regard as robbery of a win for an impressive Gomolov.

(M)Erik Cunniford vs Wesley Crockett

Another fight that ended in a split decision but this time to the deserved win on paper, Cunniford who came off the mark slowly to lose the first round but showed alot of heart and determination to fight his way back into it and take the last 2 rounds, these two also seem like they could probe big in the Middleweight division.

Show Overall

<img alt="61WQi" data-src="https://imgur.com/a/61WQi" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

The first show was a success overall, big ko's, surprising wins and really surprising score cards made it out to be better than i was expecting with fighters such as Tommy Ray and Neil Entopolski looking very promising.

I kept this very basic but any other info you want me to include in future posts let me know as i write this 3-4 shows behind so certain key incidents in fights or the world are almost impossible to remember when posting comes along, but i just thought id try something different on the forums and hopefully people enjoy the idea and if not then it was always worth the shot in showing off the idea!

Esc 2

In this post we have ESC shows 2 as we have the second half of our roster will fight so we can get a feel for our rather unknown fighters and ESC 3 as well as 4 will be establishing a top 2 of every division so that for shows 5,6 and 7 will be title fights to crown our first champions in ever weight class

ESC 2

Main Event

(L)Mako Day vs Cullen Skink

Fight Of The Night

Our Main Event for this show see's our Low Level named value Lightweight, Skink go up against an unknown and debuting Day, the fight was a landslide ending 4 minutes into the first round as Skink KO's Day with a crunching hook, the future for Skink in the Lightweight division looks bright... a fighter who is exciting to watch and seems to always go for the KO, throwing more power punches than jabs which was surprising to see and just shows his intentions.

Co-Main Event

(H)Ed Bensson vs Glen McBeam

Our Co-Main Event saw two of our most promising Heavyweights go toe to toe, the bout was rated overall as Poor in what i thought was a rather harsh rating with both fighters going on alot of offence, the winner was Ed Bensson on split decision and on another day this fight could of easily gone to McBeam instead, that's really how close it seemed.

Others

(L)Arthur Batch vs Jeremy Gumble

Submission Of The Night

Rated as good and we got another finish by submission in the 2nd,

Batch picks up the win via Armbar against a very very tired Gumble which seemed to be the only real factor in Batch winning this.

(M)Nathan Joslin vs Zachary Brooks

This one saw underdog Joslin win by way of knockout early in the second, Brooks was expected to easily dismantle Joslin so the fact he not only lost but got knocked out it will be interesting to see hos Joslin can do with some momentum on his back.

(L)Scott Runnels vs Victor Griffin

These guys matched up looking like they are easily in top 4-5 of the division on paper, it was a real stand up game with both fighters throwing 45+ punches but with no killer instinct it went to the judges who scored a split decision win in favour of the slight underdog, another close fight that could of easily gone either way... the 3rd or 4th time we have saw this sort of result, but its positive as its nice knowing our booking is matching very even guys together.

(L)Simon Youngman vs Gennady Lopatin

Our opening fight of the night was over in under 3 minutes as Lopatin smashed Youngman to the mat and instantly pulled him into the Armbar, very exciting finish for sure and i was surprised with the instinct of Lopatin to finish asap.

Show Overall

<img alt="zbDlZ" data-src="https://imgur.com/a/zbDlZ" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I will try post shows 3 + 4 before i stream later tonight so that its all up to speed and im not behind, i also found a little info in fight history that gives a little more info on the fights so ill try include some of that when posting because like i said before, i write these up way after having the shows so alot of specific info is forgotten, but anyway hope you guys are enjoying it.

Esc 3 + 4

With all our starting roster having debuted we now use shows 3 and 4 to establish a top 2 in each weight class that will fight for there respective belts for shows 5,6 and 7. We also dip into the free agents and sign a couple more bodies for each division but nothing to really be exciting about, more so some cans to use on hyping up others.

ESC 3

Main Event

(H) Frank White vs Micheal Dali

Knock Out Of The Night

Dali headlines yet another show and wins against a newly signed and debuting Frank White, the fight was a basic landslide and finished in TKO under 2 minutes of round 1, poor White was basically thrown to the wolves essentially here but an impressive Dali all but books himself a title shot for the heavyweight division.

Co-Main Event

(L)Victor Griffin vs Arthur Batch

Griffin and Batch come into this having won there first fights here at ESC, the fight was a little lacklustre at times but Griffin dominated throughout to win by unanimous decision, completing all 3 take downs to be superior on the floor and also outmatched Batch 46 punches to 13, only downside personally for me is Griffin's poor urge to finish fighters off that would benefit him a ton more, but good showing none the less.

Others

(H)Moray McWhirter vs Henry Hooper

After Hooper arguably robbed Gumolov of a win back at ESC 1 that definitely wasn't the case here against a debuting McWhirter, Hooper won this on unanimous decision and rightly so his dominant wrestling skills prevailed and all but ensure him to be booked against Dali for the Heavyweight belt.

(M)Roland Bristow vs Melvin Dale

Roland surprised everyone at ESC 1 co-main event when he knocked Jackson out cold and really stomp his authority over the decision, sadly that exciting and hungry style didn't come in to play here, in a match rated as Poor Bristow still came away with the win but he struggled against a very poor looking Melvin Dale who will more than likely be used as a can so its not comforting knowing the struggle Bristow had after knocking off a great competitor in his last match.

(L)Scott Runnels vs Alan Gallagher

This fight was the first of two fights that saw 2 losers from Lightweight division go toe to toe and try reclaim some momentum after a poor first fight, it ended in yet another unanimous decision that went in favour of Runnels who lost out slightly in the stand up game but dominated massively on the ground to ensure he bagged his first fight in a match rated as Great.

(L)Adam Liddell vs Jeremy Gumble

Fight of The Night

Submission of The Night

This was our opener and also the second fight that saw two other losers in there first fight go toe to toe and try grab some momentum and oh boy did Liddell grab the opportunity... literally as he won the fight by submission in the 3rd, the fight was very close and on stats it seemed Gumble was edging the affair, very even standing up but Gumble's abaility to get Liddell on the ground was putting him in the lead but with Gumble losing his first fight due to stamina we saw that come into play again here as he took Liddell to the ground but with him being so tired Liddell changed position on the ground and quickly and effectively took Gumble out with an Armbar, Gumble's ability to last 3 round has proven him to be a huge disappointment.

Show Overall

<img alt="PHTpj" data-src="https://imgur.com/a/PHTpj" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

ESC 4

Main Event

(L)Cullen Skink vs Adam Liddell

Fight of The Night

Submission of The Night

Skink main events another show alongside Liddell who has fought in 3 out of 4 shows so far, after picking up some momentum last card Liddell faces a very aggressive Skink who again show his dominance in this fight by finishing it on round 3 by TKO the 3rd round finish does not do Skink enough praise as he totally dominated this fight standing and on the ground, Liddell hardly got any offence going and eventually paid the price, Skink all but now guarantees himself a Lightweight title shot and i cant think of anyone who can give him a real good match.

Co-Main Event

(H)Ed Bensson vs Gennady Lopatin

Two our our unbeaten Heavyweights battled this one out in what was a very back and fourth fight for sure full of cuts big strikes and takedowns, at arguably 1 round each going into the third both had a real go of it and with only 2 SECONDS of the fight left the ref stops the fight and awards a TKO (Cut) victory in favour of Lopatin, very interesting finish to say the least.

Others

(M)Erik Cunniford vs Nathan Joslin

Submission of The Night

Similar to the Co-Main Event this saw two unbeaten Middleweights go at it to try ensure a title shot and after persisting to win a successful takedown, Cunniford won by submission almost instantly when he took Joslin to the ground and he had no answer to Cunniford's ground work.

(M)Glen McBeam vs Martin Moore

After McBeam arguably got robbed of a win in his first fight i decided to "feed" him newly signed Martin Moore, it didn't go to smoothly though, McBeam grabbed his win we expected but it went all the say to split decision.

(M)Wesley Crockett vs Lloyd Monson

Very similar to McBeam fight, we basically fed newly signed Monson to Crockett who also lost his first fight, only difference was Crockett finished Monson with ease by submission in the first.

Show Overall

<img alt="s80SV" data-src="https://imgur.com/a/s80SV" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Rankings

I thought since i WAS finally up to speed i would show the rankings after 4 shows and also announce the title matches that will main event the next 3 shows.

Heavyweight

<img alt="8rzA5" data-src="https://imgur.com/a/8rzA5" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Title Fight - Micheal Dali vs Henry Hooper (ESC 6)

Middleweight

Lightweight

ESC 5: Bristow vs Cunniford

ESC 5: Bristow vs Cunniford

ESC5 is the first show of 3 that see's us debut our first title fight, this one being Middleweight title, due to the roster at the time its also our second show in a row where we only have 5 fights but so far from recruiting we wont have this problem again after this as we look to book 8 fights per show.

Main Event

Roland Bristow vs Erik Cunniford

Middleweight Title

Fight of The Night

Submission of The Night

To kick off our first ever title fight this one didn't disappoint, Cunniford who comes into this fight as slight underdog came straight out from the go looking to stick to a firm game plan and take Bristow to the ground and work his ground game after firing 4 take down and missing them all on round 1 he manages to finally get Bristow on the ground with 10 seconds of round 1 left, arguably Bristow was save by the bell, but early in the second Cunniford got him down again and after failing to apply a submission 3 times his persistence paid of and 3 minutes into the round he applied a Guillotine and is crowned our first Middleweight Champion, Bristow just couldn't seem to come out from the start quick enough and work his own game plan but im sure we will see him score more easy wins in the future.

Co-Main Event

Dmitry Gomolov vs Vlasta Nykl

Knock Out of The Night

With Gomolov showing alot of promise we matched him as strong favourite to see if he could rise to the challenge and oh boy he did, not only winning the fight fairly comfortably but with a finish in round 2 by TKO, this will only but sure help his momentum and a claim into the top 5.

Others

Jeremy Gumble vs Scott Runnels

Similar to the co main event this fight was matched up for Runnels to get momentum going his way, only difference being Jeremy "No Gas Tank" Gumble somehow by a miracle took him all the way to the judges scorecard but they scored it a clear unanimous decision victory to Runnels, i would of liked him to finish this one though.

Daniel Brown vs Calvin Cox

These two are fairly irrelevant at the moment in the Middleweight division, as they are both debuting with the company, fairly even match with the standing game but Brown was much superior on the ground and bagged a win on the judges score card 2-1 on split decision, fight was rated as decent.

Frank White vs Jerry Clark

King of the cans Frank White loses again (big surprise i know) to a debuting Jerry Clark by unanimous decision, hopefully Jerry can push on now and make a name for himself, similar to Daniel Brown from last fight.

Show Overall

ESC 6: Dali vs Hooper

ESC 6: Dali vs Hooper

This card has our second belt up for grabs with a so far dominant Dali (2-0) taking on Hooper (2-0) who has been relatively quiet in terms of big wins / finishes, so this automatically puts Dali as favourite with his aggressive style and big power punches we know he is capable of. This card also has us put up eight fights for the first time, something we should be booking as a minimum amount of fights from here on wards.

Main Event

Micheal Dali vs Henry Hooper

Heavyweight Title

Micheal Dali, what a fighter! cant praise this guy enough as he just murders everyone in his path, this title fight being no different with Hooper having no reply and loses to TKO in the first round, Dali is going to need some serious competition or this belt will be his forever.

Co-Main Event

Arthur Batch vs Tommy Ray

Batch comes into this fight (1-1) after a roller coaster of a start to his ESC career, he is up against Tommy Ray who we haven't saw since the very first show after his very impressive win over Liddell, this one ended by TKO in the second after Ray was more or less on top from the go and just seemed to be one step ahead of Batch and topped it off with not only the win but a finish, he also used his interview to call out heavy hitter Skink who is fighting for there divisions belt next show.

Others

Glen McBeam vs Simon Youngman

More or less booked for McBeam to score another win and hopefully finally land a finish which he managed to do, virtually destroying Youngman's leg in the 3rd forcing him to fall to the ground and have the fight stopped, nice momentum push and win for McBeam.

Joel Halliwell vs Mako Day

Submission of The Night

Joel makes his debut against Day who looks to bounce back after a convincing loss to the Skink, Day only took 32 seconds to get Joel to tap here, showing exactly what he is capable off as well as proving that a debut loss is not enough to keep him down, he then uses his new found momentum to call Skink out for a rematch! on the same night Tommy Ray did the exact same.

Melvin Dale vs Owen Jackson

After both losing easily on there debut fights we match a rather unknown Dale with Owen Jackson who when recruited here was only 1 of 3 with any name value and with Jackson proving to be very poor so far in his reign with ESC he gives us some hope of not being a complete let down, grabbing a Unanimous Decision win, still not very flattering.

Tyrone Lawler vs Alan Gallagher

Knock Out of The Night

Gallagher comes in (0-2) against a debuting Lawler, this find ended in spectacular fashion with Lawler knocking Gallagher out from practically nothing with some swift power punches, very exciting to see as its probably the first time after the first few shows that a debuting fighter has showed real authority and really making himself stand out.. winning in style.

Wesley Crockett vs Zachary Brooks

Fight of The Night

This was our first ever Fantastic rated fight and rightly so, Crockett (1-1) and Brooks (0-1)came into this with everything to prove and by god did they show alot of heart, this had big take downs, huge strikes, submission threats and ALOT of ups and downs and best of all this all happend in the first round! as the fight was ended barely 1 minute into round 2 after Crockett landed his 5th huge strike in the fight that was finally enough to knock Brooks out stone cold.

Tomasz Benes vs Lloyd Bensen

Our opening fight of the night saw debuting Benes up against a lacklustre Monson, the fight went all 3 rounds that went all in favour to new boy Benes, he showed some nice promise here dealing with Monson easily, but no finish definitely puts a downer on what could of been the perfect debut.

Show Overall

<img alt="oIFoI" data-src="https://imgur.com/a/oIFoI" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Thought id post to ask for a little feedback on this story aspect as im not even sure if anyone is reading the story part or is really bothered by it, the actual live streams have been amazing with a ton of support so i canT thank all you guys enough for the kind comments and hanging out in chat, but some feedback / opinions on the "story aspect" would be awesome as it does take some time to write up especially with the s shows become slightly bigger.. im having fun with this side of it but if no one is bothered with it i guess writing it up is pointless,

im open to negative or positive opinions of course so fire away, thanks guys! peace - Sam.

Hey Super!

First off, I definitely think (if you haven't already) you should reach out to a mod to move this to the WMMA Dynasties forum, if you haven't already.

I've noticed a lot of people were enjoying the stream, so I think writing up the shows is a great idea so you don't have to keep recapping for people who show up mid stream. It allows them to read a recap themselves rather than watch vods which is super time consuming.

My only suggestion would be to possibly flip the order so it reads from openers to the main event. Also, you could give more blurbs about new hirings, anyone who is poached, future match ups, etc.

ESC7: Skink vs Griffin

ESC7: Skink vs Griffin

Not a whole lot to recap here with our last show to cap off our 3rd weight class champion and speaking of champions our Heavyweight champ Micheal Dali almost immediately got signed to an exclusive deal after he won the belt, he moves to ALPHA-1 permanently meaning we have a Heavyweight title vacated, Dali was a big draw so will be missed and its hard not to fear the worst that this will continue to happen.

Low Card Fights (Quick Recap)

I thought id breeze through the first 4/8 fights on the card as they are ALL new fighters making there debut and hoping to make a name for themselfs

Christian Green vs Ronnie Hart - We start off with the newly vacated heavyweight class, going in favour of Christian Green who also won Submission of The Night, winning in under 1 minute 30 by way of Rear Naked Choke, fairly easy win for him so im excited to see how far he can go.

Allan Stiller vs Earl Wilson - Earl wilson wins this won by TKO, another exciting finish and Wilson shows real promise as well, he dominated completely on the ground landing some massive big strikes before he finally got the finish.

Kurt Price vs Moore David - Another TKO win in the second round going to Kurt Price, this fight though was very back and fourth with Moore David landing some huge shots at the end of the first round as he ultimately got stopped by the bell, big props to Kurt though who changed his game plan and took the fight to the ground and managed to get the W from there, Great battle from both.

Brian Eastman vs Broone Simmons - This one went all 3 round, Eastman dominating with the stand up and Simmons dominating on the ground, but in the end all 3 rounds went in favour of Eastman who grabs a debut win.

Top 4 Fights

Ed Bensson vs Eddie Crockett

Knock Out of The Night

Bensson comes into this against an unkown Crockett with alot to prove as we just got word the title is vacated in there division, Bensson took full advantage and picked up a TKO win at the end of the first round to catapult himself into the mix for a title shot.

Neil Enropolski vs Marc Strong

We havent saw Neil since his impressive win on the very first show and he kept the momentum going here no questions asked, it only took him 1 minute to dismantle the newly debuting Marc Strong, very impressive.

Co-Main Event

Moray McWhirter vs Gennady Lopatin

These two are matched up to give an extra "easy" win to Lopatin to move him into a challenger for the title, huge favourite and solid momentum backing him it didnt quite go as planned as McWhirter (0-1) wasnt having any of it and he surprised us all by not only taking Lopatin all 3 round but winning all 3 fairly easily, not only is this a huge upset for Lopatin but it blows our Heavyweight division title match out the water as Lopatin was expected to be fighting for it after what was thought to be an easy win here.

Main Event

Victor Griffin vs Cullen Skink

Lightweight Title

Fight of The Night

Our first ever Lightweight Title fight has a rather quiet Griffin who has took 2 wins from decision come up against a super aggressive Skink who was also called out last show by not only 1 but 2 fighters and this fight shows exactly why as he came out from the go pressing Griffin and just smashing him with huge strikes, 2:05 in round one was all it took for Skink to be crowned winner by TKO and be crowned the first ever Lightweight Champ, he used his interview to reply to Tommy Ray who called him out, basically calling him stupid and he is ready for the challenge if Ray is man enough to back up his words, this gives me great ideas for booking but Skink will be in the same boat Dali was in terms of star appeal so i fear he may not be with us for much longer.

ESC 8 + ESC 9 Preview

ESC 8

ESC 8 takes place 1 year after our very first show, with no real solid progress being made the last year i will be trying to bolster some skillful fighters into our roster as well as aim for bringing in another weight class to ensure we can manage 8 fights a show and 1 show every month, this will also help us develop even more guys rather than having just 2-3 that stand out as the threat of the roster being poached by bigger companies only going to get stronger and stronger especially with our Heavyweight Champion Dali the first to go straight after he was crowned our first ever Heavyweight champ.

This show comes straight after our 3 title shows we had back to back, so as you can imagine the main goal for this was to ensure 8 fights on the card, there is another handful of debuts to take place here as well as some top 5 rank guys that we hope will carry the show to be a positive result with critical and commercial ratings.

Bottom 4 Fights (Quick Recap)

Martin Moore vs Mitchell Edwards - Moore comes into this looking to avenge his debut loss to Glen McBeam where as we have Edwards making his debut and try and kick off his ESC career with a big fat W, sadly for Edwards it wasnt quite to be and Moore got a nice finish to bounce back from his debut loss, TKO after 1:40 of round 1, great win and finish for Moore rather than going 0-2.

Frank White vs Darren Tanner - We arranged this fight so that a debuting Tanner would grab a debut win and White would fall to 0-3 since he has been easily beaten by everyone else we matched him up, but to everyone's surprised our number #1 can has had enough of getting picked on and he finished Tanner with an armbar midway through the second round, not only getting his first win and throwing my plans for Tanner out the window but actually grabbing a finish, WELL THEN!

Joshua Campbell vs Scott Runnels - Similar to the last fight only difference being here that we didn't get any nasty surprises and Runnels did what we expected and got a W to help build him back up, TKO finish in the 3rd against another debut.

Tomasz Benes vs Nathan Joslin - Benes (1-0) and Joslin (1-1) come into this both looking fairly good, sadly for Joslin he suffered a big loss here to an impressive Benes who looked really sharp, he now pops up out of nowhere really with 2-0... definitely getting my attention for the future of Middleweight bookings.

Top 4 Fights

Daniel Brown vs Owen Jackson

Brown is similar to Benes where they both have appeared midway through the year with a relitevly unknown vibe, hes matched up against Jackson who is one of our biggest earners as he was the biggest name that we signed for Middleweight when we founded the company, sadly for Jackson though he got knocked out cold... AGAIN! this time it only took 43 seconds of round 1 and we instantly cut him from the roster after as his performances 100% aint matching his salary, Brown on the other hand is looking bright with 2-0.

Roland Bristow vs Wesley Crockett

Knock Out of The Night

Bristow, who was the first man to knock out Jackson who was just cut from the company goes up here against a tough competitor in Crockett who stands at 2-1, the fight was over early though with Bristow displaying exactly how lethal he can be and he knocks Crockett out cold asserting real dominance to go 3-1 only suffering a defeat to the champ, Cunniford.

Co-Main Event

Dmitry Gomolov vs Jerry Clark

With the heavyweight title vacated both of these men go into this knowing a win could shoot them right into the top 2 for a title shot, Clark who is fairly new only 1-0 with his win over the #1 can White goes up against a very dangerous Gomolov who sits at 1-1, Gomolov managed to take the important win here using his wrestling skills to grind out the 3 round not giving Clark much chance at any offense and he scores a Unanimous Decision win.

Main Event

Tyrone Lawler vs Mako Day

Fight of The Night

Submission of The Night

An aggresive Lawler who looked amazing on his debut is up against a very impressive Mako Day who will look to stamp more of a claim on his challenge he made the the champ Skink who he currently has his only loss due to, this fight was a great contest full off back and fourths, submission attempts, big strikes, taunting and 2 empty gas tanks and in the end Mako Day had enough left in the tank coming up for the midway point of round 2 and finally secure his submission hold, big win here for Day to further strengthen his challenge to Skink for a rematch.

Show Overall

<img alt="gocKJ" data-src="https://imgur.com/a/gocKJ" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

ESC 9 Preview

ESC 9 has a few prelims in use for the first time as we stick to our 8 fights per show policy for the new year, our main event will feature another #1 contender for the vacated Heavyweight title, Glen McBeam vs Christian Green and the winner of this will face Gomolov for the title, our Co-Main Event also features another Heavyweight bout between Ed Bensson and Moray McWhriter as both try and build back up some momentum towards that top 4-5 heavyweight ranking spot, we feature a few more debuts with all 3 prelim matches all debuting fighters, nobody seriously notable features after the Co-Main Event as in my opinion this card is one of the weakest we have done so far, i have hope some of the debuts can make a nice bang and create some buzz like a few others have done recently.

<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2018_02/1434846979_esc8.jpg.ed416d5356dc8c8317c0bfd8c9401288.jpg" data-fileid="3393" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3393" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="1434846979_esc8.jpg.ed416d5356dc8c8317c0bfd8c9401288.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2018_02/1434846979_esc8.jpg.ed416d5356dc8c8317c0bfd8c9401288.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Esc 9 + ESC: Blastoff II Announcement

ESC 9

ESC 9 has some big Heavyweight fights incluiding McBeam and Green main eventing for the winner to go on and face Gomolov for the vacated title, this card also has us take advantage of the prelims for the first time 3 of our 8 fight are taking place in the prelims, all debuts with the exepction of everyone's favourite Lightweight can Jeremy Gumble with a few really exciting looking debut fighters, this card is so small in many ways as we set up for our 10th show that will be "ESC: Blastoff II" that will feature our biggest and best fights yet, more on that on a separate post though, dont want to spoil too much! hehe.

Prelims

Gitano Santo vs Broone Simmons - Middleweight bout here that features 2 fighters that look fairly promising, Santo does come into this fight having missed out on the weight cut which is a little worrying as he also won the fight by TKO late in the first, can only wonder if the bad weight management had a big effect on this one.

Jouke Van Rijn vs Jeremy Gumble - Our favourite can Gumble did his job correctly here and didn't give me any surprises, beaten by Van Rijn on unanimous Decision, the fight was alot closer than i was expecting and really could of gone to Gumble but luckily like i said, NO SURPRISES PLEASE GUMBLE!

Zhorah Sidirov vs Joel Halliwell - This one ended in a complete shutdown after only 2 minutes, Sidirov smashed Halliwell with some nasty hooks to knock him out cold and snatch Knock Out of The Night and make a real statement on his debut.

Main Card

Calvin Cox vs Nikolai llic

Calvin Cox (0-1) up against the debuting Nikolai llic, this fight went the whole distance mainly because Nikolai couldnt seem to initiate a finish on Cox so instead it grinded on and resulted in a Unanimous Decision win in favour of Nikolai, rated as good.

Adam Liddell vs Earl Wilson

Earl comes into this after winning on his debut against Liddell who has been rather yoyo like on his form, it proved for an interesting bout with one kick boxer (Liddell) and another Shoot Wrestler (Wilson) the fight itself last till the 3rd round, Liddell doing work on the stand up with Wilson dominating with ground game, up until 3rd round Wilson was dominating with a massive 56 ground punched and 9 power punches, it seemed destined to go in favour of Wilson in what would of been a hard fought win but after 2 minutes the referee stood both fighters back up after a lack of progress and Liddell turned into the terminator for 10 or so seconds and inailated poor Wilson with kick and crazy flurry of punches which caused a huge cut on Wilsons head and the fight was stopped almost immediately afterwards handing a big win to Liddell.

Juan Silveira vs Vlasta Nykl

Fight of The Night

We intended to feed Nykl to our debuting stud Juan Silveira since Nykl was already 0-2 but he decided he didn't want to get punched in the face today and outplayed our promising young star like he was up against Stevie Wonder and finished him off after 2 minutes of round 1 by TKO... GOD DAMNIT NYKL WHAT HAVE U DONE U STUPID IDIOT!

Co-Main Event

Ed Bensson vs Moray McWhirter

Dont you just love it when you match up 2 of the promising guys on you're roster and everything is going smoothly, back and fourths with nice strikes and alot of ups and downs and then all of a sudden the fight gets stopped because of a cut and you're Co-Main Event then gets rated Poor? yeah i love it too.. NOT! but none the less this was a huge point for both guys and Bensson came out on top in what was a super close battle, big win for him here to push on after we get a new Heavyweight holder.

Main Event

Glean McBeam vs Christian Green

With Gomolov already guaranteed his place for a shot at the Heavyweight title we come into this main event looking to find his opponent, a very impressive McBeam (2-1) who only suffered one loss to Hooper in what was regarded robbery of a win for McBeam, his opponent is a rather fresh face in Green (1-0) who looks like a big promise and already sits on #3 on the heavyweight ranks, this fight lasted all 5 rounds and went into the hands of the judges who scored it a unanimous 50-45 victory in favour of McBeam who just looked more hungry for the win in a rather one sided bout, McBeam defended perfect against the take downs and was able to just work his lethal stand up game and he now sets up for a Gomolov vs McBeam title fight.

Show Overall

Prelims

ESC:Blastoff II comes up next that will see the debut of a new weight class as well as some big named fights and more than one title fight! up next will be an pre fight overview of what to expect / some more info on the big event.

ESC: Blastoff II Preview

ESC: Blastoff II Preview

I decided for our tenth show to put on some big title fights and its also the introduction of the Bantamweight division where we are holding a 16 man tournament to introduce the weight class with the winner being announced our first Bantamweight champion, the first 4 fights for that tournament will be on our prelims with 5 main card fights, 2 title fights and the bottom 3 all Heavyweight bouts, anyway lets get to a quick rundown!

Main Event

Cullen Skink (#1) vs Scott Runnels (#5)

Lightweight Title

The main event for the show will see a rather sought after Skink up against Runnels who has been rather impressive as of late winning his last 3 fights in a row which earned him this title shot, regardless of this he will have to be on top of his game to stand any chance of taking Skink down.

Co-Main Event

Erik Cunniford (#1) vs Daniel Brown (#4)

Middleweight Title

Our second title fight has Cunniford also make his first defence against 'The Lion' Brown who comes into this 2-0 and still rather unknown with both his wins against fighters regarded outside the top 5, so this instantly puts him as big underdog, but could we see Brown's true ability? or will Cunniford do whats expected and run through him.

Frank White (#8) vs Martin Moore (#6)

White comes into this off the back of his first victory which shocked everyone, can he make it 2 in a row? well if so hes against a rather unstable Moore who we have saw beaten off the now Heavyweight champ McBeam but also secure a win of his own, its all going to depend on who wants that W more.

Chris Boyle vs Jacqueleen Lefebvre

This fight has 2 new Heavyweights debuting, a very promising European prospect in Lefebvre and a highly popular american Boyle who was convinced to more across the pond to the UK by the company and he will make his UK debut as he currently sits on 4-0, this should be a very close fight and regardless of the winner im sure both of these guys will secure some big wins in the Heavyweight division here at ESC.

Joze Marek vs Simon Youngman (#13)

Another debut in Marek is up against the Heavyweights favourite can, Youngman who we are expecting more of the same here. This shouldn't be too difficulty of a debut for Marek who looks very dangerous on paper.

Rather than do a prediction score for this card as i have saw this done quite alot its fairly pointless given i play the whole save live and im usually 2-3 shows ahead when writing these so i thought id ask who you're favourite fighter(s) is so far while reading through or watching on Twitch or maybe who you really like so far in the C-Verse?

Definitely for me it's the Lightweight division. HW has a bunch of green promising rookies but no one has stood out yet. Unfortunately it's hard for them to get out of Dali's shadow and no one has stepped up with consistently big finishes and good performances. Middleweight is solid but lacks big personalities, Cunniford getting booked at SIGMA hurt the flow of the division.

At Lightweight Mako Day has been great, got outclassed by Cullen Skink in his debut and has popped right back up, finishing his other opponents and calling out Skink for a rematch. Griffin was the only guy to beat Scott "Decision" Runnels, and has stamina just needs to work on his ability to finish fights. Tommy Ray and Entopolski are both dynamic and finish fights with power.
