Scandal fallout

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Hoping for an answer regarding scandals: Recently in my promotion, Gorilla Monsoon went to the press saying that everyone was smoking crack backstage, or something.

The resulting scandal is preventing me from negotiating new TV deals.

The message says it won't blow over for more than a year.

Is there any way out of this or is my promotion going dark for a year-plus? That seems a bit much.

<p>How much money do you have? Because you can always start you're own broadcaster.</p><p> </p><p>

Personally, I'd be more concerned about everyone smoking crack backstage! I'm automatically assuming it's true, because I trust Gorilla Monsoon implicitly! <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

He lied to us when he said that fans were literally hanging off the rafters and it turned out they weren't. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> As for the fallout of scandals, I can't speak from experience because I haven't had it happen yet. But that does sound a bit steep. I could see bigger broadcasters not being willing to renew TV deals, but you would think smaller broadcasters wouldn't mind taking the risk as there have always been TV stations that looked at wrestling as easy money (especially those that required wrestling shows to pay for the air time).</p>

Thanks for the replies.

I was also fond of Monsoon, until he started snitching.

I'll press on and see if the heat dies down. I'll post the result, if no one else shares a similar experience before then.

Resolution

If anyone is experiencing a similar scenario and is looking for an answer: I had the scandal in May; it initially said it would take more than a year to blow over; I was able to negotiate new TV contracts in Sept.; I'm now told there are 12 months before the scandal blows over completely.
