Unexpected stars and vice versa

Recommended Posts

We know about stars of the game skill-wise like Matthew Dean, Helio, and Lamont Banner but who are guys you never expected to be great turn out to be absolute beasts and vice versa?

Currently in my early 2009 save, the most prominent "star" who is struggling is Sukarno who has gone 5-7 in my company. Rav Kapur is terrible in my save which prompted me to cut him as he went 0-4. I also hear Jericho Stewart is a beast in some saves but in mine he's an unranked prelims guy.

Here are guys who I believe are unexpected stars in my game:

1. Nilson Fantoni (11-2 with losses only to Soldo and Villar)

2. Morgan Wakarewarewa

3. Danny Akabaro

4. Deceptive Danny Rowan

5. Jefferson Mndawe (started off rocky but is now on a 9 fight, 4 year winning streak)

6. Lito Alcala

Please do correct me if some of these guys really are built to be stars.

Some guys that really developed into suprinsing top tier fighters for me are. (No particular order)

Jim Yamane ( never amounted to much in the past in this game he's 17-4 ranked number 12 ww in the world with a few pretty solid wins and pretty beast stats to boot.)

Benny Danare (always a solid fighter for the most part in this game he is 23-5 though being a top 5 lightweight in the world and having elite stats)

Davey Ruston (had a resurgence in his career he's 17-4 12-1 since the game started, his stats are incredible for a super heavyweight)

Wilson Franklyn (always been decent and could devil into a monster in certain games. Was inconsistent though. He been gamma consistent number 2 for awhile now)

Ramon da Silva Ramos (16-3 overall 10-3 gamma, 2 losses were early in career. Just beat top 10 ranked Adam white . Number 3 in GAMMA ranked 7 in the world. Even won a trilodgy series with monroe.)

Bobby Brubaker ( actually consistently performing. 24-6 15-3 in GAMMA number 8 welterweight in the world only two losses since game started were title matches against Manuel Silva.)

Coltrane Aaronson (17-3 10-1 in GAMMA. Probably my biggest shock of the game, Aaronson is a top 10 lightweight and consistently gets first round finishes. Godly striking godly takedown defence great sub def and decent all around ground game. Aaronson really surprised me and turned into a monster.)

Can't mention Coltrane without mentioning the guy who beat him

Mozart Pinto lol he's still not 100% proven as he hadn't been in GAMMA to long. He became the SAMA lightweight champion but left to Gamma right afterwards. Currently rocking a 16-1 record 3-0 in GAMMA. The only man in GAMMA to defeat Aaronson and on his last fight he defeated Jake Keane who had just been coming off losing the gamma title. Future looks set for Pinto to shine. Decent boxer with ELITE wrestling and ground game.

No idea how or why, because he's just an average fighter, but he just wins a bunch against top talent. I don't believe he was ever more than a can in previous games.

Really ? Maybe it's because I almost always start small org I don't know, but even when I don't sign him deschanel is usually a pretty solid higher mid tier range kinda guy. I've seen him become pretty monstrous. That's the thing though all we can go by is our own experiences with the game

Diego. Arteta.

Arteta is so awesome
