Joanne Rodriguez, Emma Chase and Bruce the Giant walk out (to J-Ro's music). Samuel Curran says “WHY JOANNE?!” 80 million times and the announce team talks about J-Ro's treachery and betrayal.</p><p> </p><p>

J-Ro: I'm sure many are asking the question... Why? Why, Joanne, did you do it? Why did you turn your back on Queen Dawn, Lord of the Dream Realm? Why did I side with the Lord of Nightmares, Emma Chase? Simple... THIS (she holds out the championship belt). When Dawn abandoned me, I lost all hope. I was unable to win. I was going to lose everything. I had to do it. I had to embrace FEAR to survive.</p><p> </p><p>

J-Ro: It is not because of HOPE and DREAMS that you can accomplish your goals. It is caution. It is the fear of what lies ahead, and how to counteract your worst nightmares. Rejecting your fears is folly. I accepted my nightmares for what they were, and that's why I aligned myself with...</p><p> </p><p>

The Mythics cut her off.</p><p> </p><p>

Krissy: Dawn... the power of DREAMS has awakened. And it is the OWE Champion that controls her power. But don't get arrogant. YOU aren't the only champion. I will defeat you. I will shut the dream world down. And I will become the NEW...</p><p> </p><p>

J-Ro: You will do no such thing. One week ago, when you lost to me, you forfeit your chance for the OWE Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

Krissy: That was a DQ! I was kicking your...</p><p> </p><p>

Brother Grimm's music hits.</p><p> </p><p>

Grimm: Our champion, Joanne Rodriguez, is correct. Krissy Angelle. You have already been defeated by Joanne Rodriguez. Your partner, VAMP, however has not. I will give an opportunity to her as well as all those who won at Slamtom Menace. TONIGHT, in the MAIN EVENT, Vamp, Divine Hope, Alina Rose, Spade will battle each other in a FATAL FOUR-WAY to determine the NUMBER ONE CONTENDER for the OWE World Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

Krissy: Fine. Joanne, be ready. Vamp's power is immense.</p><p> </p><p>

The Mythics start to leave.</p><p> </p><p>

Grimm: Where are you going, Krissy? YOU have a match. And it's happening RIGHT NOW.</p><p> </p><p>

Dawn is hunched over in the hallway, crying.</p><p> </p><p>

When she looks up, she sees Spade extending his hand to her. She reaches out and he helps her up.</p><p> </p><p>

Spade: Hey! I know it hurts when someone you trust turns their back on you. But! TRUE STRENGTH isn't about who you ally with. TRUE STRENGTH is what you are capable of doing on your own. You have to carve your own path! Do not rely on the strength of others! Rely on YOURSELF! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!</p><p> </p><p>

Dawn: Erm...</p><p> </p><p>

Spade: You know what I do to make myself feel better? Follow after me! HAAAAAAAAAAAI (he punches the air violently) YAAAAAAAAA!!!</p><p> </p><p>

Dawn: Um... Haaaa.... (she punches the air)</p><p> </p><p>

Spade: Yeah! That's the way!</p><p> </p><p>

Dawn: Hey... Spade... I feel much better already. Thanks... Can I ask something of you?</p><p> </p><p>

Dawn leans over and touches him in the heart. Suddenly, we see a bunch of tormented spirits screaming in pain. Dawn jumps back, shocked at what she just saw.</p><p> </p><p>

Spade: Nah. What did I just say? Careful who you trust. Trust only your own strength.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 4: Keeping a dragon fed</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Purple Viper is walking into a volcano area with a large bowl of food. There is lava flowing everywhere and a large white dragon.</p><p> </p><p>

Viper: Hehehe, Meal time. I brought you some more food.</p><p> </p><p>

Dragon: Treacherous demon. What are you trying to do?</p><p> </p><p>

Viper: Just shut up and eat!</p><p> </p><p>

Viper extends her hand out and force slams the dragon's head into the bowl.</p><p> </p><p>

Viper: You don't have much longer. Hehehehehehe...</p><p> </p><p>

The camera switches to Alicia Strong's bedroom, waking from a nightmare.</p><p> </p><p>

Alicia: AHHHH!!! What... what the hell was that?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 5: Witch's Way</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jack, Wanda and Smygi are in a rainy forest running away from mounties riding on horses. One of them jumps off and tackles Smygi. He holds Smygi, preventing her from running away. Wanda looks back.</p><p> </p><p>

Wanda: Smygi! Noo!!</p><p> </p><p>

Smygi: Wanda! You must go! Leave me!</p><p> </p><p>

Wanda: No! Never!</p><p> </p><p>

Wanda pushes the mountie off of Smygi. Suddenly, a missile starts headed towards them. It draws closer and closer in slow motion. Wanda's mouth drops open. Smygi “Nooooo's” in slow motion. She stands between Wanda and the missile and draws symbols in the air. Magical circles appear in the air and the missile crashes into the magic circle. The entire screen whites out...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 6: Defenders of Hope</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Zack, Angel Eater, Bossman are in the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

Zack: As the whole world saw, last Sunday, on Slamtom Menace, Joanne Rodriguez sided with Emma Chase. The Lord of Nightmares has now seized complete control over our dreams. However, worry not. For the world of Nightmares is NOTHING compared to humanity's inner strength. We can over come it. No matter what Emma does to our minds, we still have HOPE. Place your hope in ME, the savior of humanity. Angel Eater, Bossman and I can't save the world without YOUR help. Now, place your trust in...</p><p> </p><p>

Remmy Skye's music hits. Tetsu and Splashdown May are with him.</p><p> </p><p>

Remmy: Enough of this.</p><p> </p><p>

Zack: What is this? Are you defying me? The savior of the world?</p><p> </p><p>

Remmy: No! I too have hope. I too hope to restore hope in this world. BUT your words are nothing but lies. You wish to take control of people's minds, just as you took control of HIS (points at Angel Eater). This world gave me hope when there was none. And I will return the favour...</p><p> </p><p>

Luminora's music hits. She grabs Zack's hand affectionately and starts leaning towards him. Zack looks a little uncomfortable.</p><p> </p><p>

Luminora: Enough of this, Zack. Don't you have more important matters to attend to? You can't waste your time with these three. I will deal with these three.</p><p> </p><p>

Zack starts to leave. Remmy tries to chase after him, but...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 7: Remmy Skye/Inkredible Tetsu/Splashdown May def. Jeremy Jazz/Keith Vegas/BB Colossus by DQ</strong></p><p> </p><p>

As soon as Remmy and Team Splatter gain an advantage, Luminora attacks Remmy with a chair.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 8: Luminora's Hope</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Luminora beats down Remmy Skye with a chair. Skye/Splatter try to fight back, but again, the NUMBERS GAME is too much.</p><p> </p><p>

Luminora: What do you know about the world, Remmy Skye? You are nothing. Noone looks to you for hope. Only Zack Zucks is worthy of our admiration. What are you?</p><p> </p><p>

Remmy crawls up to Luminora and tries to get up.</p><p> </p><p>

Remmy: Zack is a liar. He is using you.</p><p> </p><p>

Luminora slaps Remmy.</p><p> </p><p>

Luminora: USING ME?</p><p> </p><p>

She signals to Colossus. Colossus power bombs Remmy.</p><p> </p><p>

As Luminora and co. walk away, Remmy gets up.</p><p> </p><p>

Luminora: Why? Why do you fight.</p><p> </p><p>

Colossus power bombs him again. Remmy gets up again. Luminora looks dumbfounded, but Remmy eventually collapses.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 9: Disappearing Act?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Divine Hope, Honey and Alina are together.</p><p> </p><p>

Alina: That's what happened... Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to deal with Taku.</p><p> </p><p>

Divine: So... that's how it is... Ouroboros just... vanished?</p><p> </p><p>

Alina: Yeah, I don't know what to make of it. Anna Ki's powers... are they really enough to seal away a demon like Ouroboros?</p><p> </p><p>

Honey: Well, we need to refocus our efforts. The Serpent Clan threat has been dealt with. Steph and Taku have been defeated, with Ouroboros and Howlin Hell Henry disappearing. For now, we must focus on tonight's match. We must think about how to defeat Joanne Rodriguez and reclaim the dream world.</p><p> </p><p>

Divine: Joanne Rodriguez... I didn't think she would give up on hope so easily... Well... Let's go.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 10: Magnificent Magenta</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Magenta is in a room alone, thinking. Suddenly, there's a knock on the door. He snaps his fingers and the door slams open. It's Anna Ki.</p><p> </p><p>

Magenta: Hehehehehe. Up already? You took quite a beating last Sunday.</p><p> </p><p>

Anna: Yeah, about that... Why? Why did you help me?</p><p> </p><p>

Magenta: Help you? HAHAHAHA! Everything I do, I do for myself. (Magenta starts walking towards Anna) To think, a Great Demon would HELP a measly little human like yourself? I saved you because your power is every bit as... DEMONIC as my own. In time, you'll see.</p><p> </p><p>

Anna: The power of Ki? What do you want with it.</p><p> </p><p>

Magenta: Bow.</p><p> </p><p>

Anna: Pardon?</p><p> </p><p>

Magenta: Be the first to bow to me and I'll let you be my right hand. It is only a matter of time before OWE, no... the ENTIRE UNIVERSE will bow to Magenta the Magnificent. Now, bow.</p><p> </p><p>

Anna: No...</p><p> </p><p>

Magenta: I won't say it again.</p><p> </p><p>

Anna: Nor will I...</p><p> </p><p>

Magenta holds out one finger and touches Anna.</p><p> </p><p>

Anna: AAAAAHHHH!!!!</p><p> </p><p>

Anna wraps herself in her arms and falls to the ground.</p><p> </p><p>

Anna: Such... power...</p><p> </p><p>

Magenta: Hehehehe... now you know the might of Magenta!</p><p> </p><p>

He walks off, Anna still curled in a ball, shaking.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 11: Spade def. Alina Rose, Divine Hope and Vamp in a #1 Contender's Match</strong></p><p> </p><p>

During the match, Ouroboros shows up. Divine Hope and Alina are both surprised and they chase after him, leaving it between Spade and Vamp. Spade eventually wins.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Segment 12: Not backing down</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Emma, J-Ro and Bruce come out to confront Spade. Spade is smiling at them.</p><p> </p><p>

Spade: Come on. Which one of you is it gonna be. I'm ready to face you. Joanne Rodriguez... Bruce the Giant. You are both truly worthy of being called a warrior. I can't wait. My fighting spirit.... I'm so excited.</p><p> </p><p>

Bruce approaches Spade and stands toe to toe with him. Suddenly, Brother Grimm comes down with security and tries to stop them from fighting. Emma snaps her fingers. The lights go out. When they come back on, the security guards and Grimm are all unconscious. J-Ro, Bruce and Emma have disappeared, leaving Spade the only one left standing. We go off the air with the camera showing Spade's smile.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Epic Announcer Voice: With Joanne Rodriguez turning her back on Queen Dawn to corrupt the world of dreams, it seems as though Spade has dreams of his own. How will Spade deal with the power trio of Joanne Rodriguez, Bruce the Giant and Emma Chase? Will Anna Ki be able to overcome the overwhelming power of the Great Demon Magenta? Will Remmy Skye bring hope to this world, as the world has done for him? What is Purple Viper scheming with the White Dragon? Overdrive Wrestling – Episode 34: Breaking Apart

April Week 2

 

 

Segment 1: Dragons and Dreams

 

 

Alicia Strong is in a volcano like area with lava flowing everywhere. She's walking up to a large set of gates. She looks at the gate and nods.

 

We see flashback recap segments where Viper was poisoning the White Dragon's food bowl. We also get Spade lecturing her about seeking the White Dragon's power and sacrificing her own soul.

 

Huey: Alicia! No!

 

Alicia turns back.

 

Huey: Don't do it! You know what will happen. You... You... You will di...

 

Alicia: Huey... Thanks. I know. But if I don't do this, the White Dragon will be no more. I must save it.

 

Huey: What? No more? What are you talking about?

 

Alicia: I saw it Huey. The White Dragon. It was crying out to me. I will save it, even if it costs me my life.

 

The doors open and Alicia start walking through...

 

Huey: Alicia... no...

 

Huey runs after Alicia.

 

Segment 2: Underestimation

 

 

Emma Chase, Bruce the Giant and Joanne Rodriguez are watching the TV sideways. They are watching last week's footage of Spade winning the #1 Contender's match.

 

Emma: What do you think of him?

 

J-Ro: That dumbass? Hmph, there's no way I can lose.

 

Emma: Do not be overconfident. When I looked into his eyes, I saw... I saw... nothing. It was unsettling. There's something about him...

 

J-Ro: Heh. YOU, of all people, having nightmares?

 

Bruce: HAHA! YOU should be having nightmares. I will CRUSH YOU! Just as I CRUSHED you at Slamtom Menace.

 

J-Ro starts to step back, but Bruce grabs her. J-Ro tries to fight back, but Bruce no-sells her attacks. He lets go and pats J-Ro's championship. Bruce walks off laughing. J-Ro doesn't look very pleased.

 

J-Ro: ARGH! Why do I have to be around that guy? Why is OWE just filled to the brim with dumbasses?

 

J-Ro starts to walk off, but Emma starts to talk.

 

Emma: Joanne... Be careful. Spade is not an opponent you can beat if you don't focus.

 

J-Ro: Yeah, Greatest fears blah blah blah nightmares blah blah. Whatever.

 

J-Ro walks off.

 

Emma: OWE filled with dumbasses? You're one to talk.

 

Segment 3: Lunarian King

 

 

Remmy Skye walks to the ring with Tetsu and Splashdown May. As he's walking down, the TV audience gets highlights from his touching flashback sequences where he was the prince of a fallen kingdom and his king saved him from destruction.

 

Remmy: OWE Universe. I implore you, listen to me. I was once the prince of a long lost kingdom, next in line to rule the Kingdom of Lunaria. When the Lunar Demons attacked, I had lost all hope. My people, my family, all destroyed. I was fated to live my undeserved life on Earth. BUT, you people, YOU PEOPLE gave me hope. You accepted me and embraced me as one of your own. Please, you cannot believe Zack Zucks and his declarations. He is no hero. He will not save us. I've seen people like him my entire life. Saying nice things in front of you, but scheming behind the scenes. He is poison, and he does not have good intentions. Zack Zucks. Come out here, RIGHT NOW, and face me. And if you don't... I will seek you out and end your reign of terror myself.

 

Brother Grimm comes out.

 

Grimm: What do you think you're doing? I did some research on you. I know where you came from. And while you may have been a prince a long time ago, you are now NOTHING. You don't get to decide for others who they will fight. That is for ME to decide. RIGHT NOW, your opponent will NOT be Zack Zucks, but it will be... THIS MAN.

 

Segment 4: Remmy Skye def. Brute Kikuchi

 

 

Segment 5: Aspirations cooking

 

 

The segment starts with a recap of Anna/Magenta's segment last week where Magenta says everyone will bow to him. He touches Anna Ki with one finger which causes her to drop to the ground. Magenta leaves.

 

She's crawling on the ground, trying to get her bearings. In the distance, she hears Lindsay's voice. Anna finds the strength to stand up.

 

Lindsay: Anna! Anna! You there?

 

Anna: Yeah, come in.

 

Lindsay walks in.

 

Lindsay: What's wrong Anna? You look like you've seen a ghost.

 

Anna: Oh, nothing. Don't worry. It's just... ummm... the championship, you know? Thinking about our loss. But, we gotta move forward from that, right? Hehehe.

 

Lindsay: Yeah. Hey Anna... There's something I want to talk about.

 

Anna: Yeah, go on Lindsay.

 

Lindsay: You see... Our friendship has been very precious to me. Our time in OWE... Our memories together, fighting together... I hope you don't think any less of me after I tell you this...

 

Anna: Why would I think that? Lindsay! We'll always be friends. Tell me... What's on your mind?

 

Lindsay: Well... I've been thinking. All this championship stuff... This saving the world stuff... It's not for me. See... I've always wanted to own my own restaurant. I've always had a passion for cooking. For baking. I've applied to culinary school. I want to be the best in the world and I want to contribute to the world that way. Can't save the world on an empty stomach!

 

Anna: That's great! I'm with you 100%. Good luck.

 

Lindsay: Really? You don't need my help saving the world and all that?

 

Anna: What are you saying? You're saving the world in your own way. I'll be fine. Just... when you open up your restaurant, be sure to invite me to the grand opening!

 

Lindsay: Yeah! For sure! Thanks Anna. I feel much better.

 

With that, Lindsay walks off.

 

Anna gets images of Magenta in her head.

 

Anna: No way I'm involving you with my next fight. It's too dangerous.

 

Segment 6: You Never Escape

 

 

Jack, Smygi and Wanda finally escape from the evil Northern Lands. We see a recap of Smygi blocking missiles with her witch powers. Suddenly, a magical circle materializes beneath Smygi, Wanda and Jack. The three of them fly off at super speed.

 

When they finally land, the three of them get on their knees and pant very hard.

 

Jack: Heh... huff... puff.. heh... heh... Welcome to OWE. Wanda, you may not remember this place very well, but you were a very integral part of it. Smygi... I hope you enjoy your stay.

 

Smygi: Looks like I won't have a chance to.

 

Smygi points to the sky. Atop a tower, we see Edd Stone and Zoe Ammis looking down on them.

 

Segment 7: Rebuilding a broken heart

 

 

Spade is doing stretching excercises in his locker room. Dawn shows up.

 

Dawn: Spade, you don't have to do this yourself. My power is still strong. I can still resist them. Joanne... Bruce... Emma...

 

Spade: Hehehe, that's the spirit! Betrayed by a friend and picking yourself up. BUT, I will have to decline. I don't need your help. It goes against my principles. My way of the warrior.

 

Dawn: But... But WHY?!

 

Spade: We're the same. Strong people with strong friends. Only to be stabbed in the back at the most inopportune moments. When you think you have a friend to lean on, to depend on, they will turn your back on you and betray you. No. You must stand on your own two feet. I have no interest in allying with you.

 

Dawn: But...

 

Spade: We're all the same. In fact, my opponent tonight... she too is someone with a broken heart. I'm glad Grimm booked this match. I will see with my own eyes her strength. Her ability to pick herself up after a devastating betrayal. We're all the same. Do not lean on others for strength, for in the end they will burn you. Well, cya. Take care.

 

Spade walks away.

 

Dawn: But... no... Spade... you too. You too have lost all hope.

 

Segment 8: Spade def. Jaime Quine

 

 

Segment 9: Love Letter

 

 

Brother Grimm is in his office. He gets a knock on his door.

 

Grimm: Come in.

 

It's Magenta, smiling.

 

Grimm: What do you want?

 

Magenta walks to Grimm's desk and drops an envelop.

 

Magenta: Please, deliver this.

 

Grimm: What? Don't you want everyone to bow to you? What's with the “please?”

 

Magenta: Hehehe, Just because I'm a Great Demon, doesn't mean I don't mind my manners. Now... Pretty please?

 

Grimm: Fine. What is this?

 

Magenta: A love letter.

 

Grimm: A what?

 

Magenta LAUGHS his way out the room.

 

Segment 10: Demon Chase

 

 

Alina, Divine Hope and Honey are chasing Ouroboros through a series of narrow tunnels.

 

Alina: What... what the hell. I saw it. Ouroboros was sealed by the power of Ki. Why... Why is he still here?

 

Suddenly, the earth starts shaking. A hand punches through the wall and starts choking Divine Hope. Alina helps him and starts attacking the mysterious person's hands. The hand retracts back into the wall. Honey starts screaming. She's being grabbed by two hands popping out of another portion of the wall. Alina and Divine Hope run towards her. A giant rock falls on Divine Hope's head, knocking him out. As Alina is running towards Honey, the two hands throws Honey toward Alina. Alina grabs her.

 

Suddenly, Howlin Hell Henry smashes the wall beside Alina. Alina braces herself for impact as the wall starts to fall on her. Before the wall falls on her, Howlin Hell Henry appears behind, hits her on the back of the head, knocking her out. Grabs her then disappears.

 

Segment 11: Forced Out

 

 

Dawn is in the middle of the ring.

 

Dawn: As you all know, the last few weeks have been tumultuous for me. I have had my knight, Joanne Rodriguez, turn her back on me and hand over control of the dream world to Emma Chase. Now, the World of Nightmares will engulf this world. But hope is not lost! Up until just an hour ago, I had lost all hope. BUT, I had a moment of clarity. I know now what I must do. I must stand up on my own two legs and FIGHT the Lord of Nightmares. Joanne Rodriguez, champion of OWE. Strongest in the land. Come out here. I will face you myself, and I will have you see reason.

 

Emma Chase comes out with Bruce the Giant.

 

Emma: Dawn. I must thank you. For handing the keys to the dream world over to Joanne Rodriguez, hence handing them over to me. I have enjoyed the power that YOU have granted me.

 

Dawn: Go away. You're not the one I called out. I want to confront Joanne, right here, right now.

 

Emma: She doesn't want to come. Says it's a waste of time. She already explained, YOU disappeared during her time of need. And now you say that SHE has turned her back on you? HAH. What a waste of time. There's no need for her to be here...

 

Brother Grimm comes out.

Grimm: Tonight, you will be TEAMING UP with Bruce the Giant... to take on... THIS TEAM.

 

Segment 12: Joanne Rodriguez and Bruce the Giant def. The Coastal Guard

 

 

The Coastal Guard's music hits. Samuel Curran is screaming at the top of his lungs. “OH MY GOD IT'S THE COASTAL GUARD” as though they are a threat to J-Ro and Bruce. Meanwhile, the audience is left wondering “whose music theme is that again?”

 

To begin the match, J-Ro tells Bruce to get in the ring and start the match. Bruce just crosses his arms and stands outside the apron. J-Ro keeps telling him to come in. Finally, he does, but he puts his hand around J-Ro's neck, about to choke slam her. “STOP IT STOP IT” J-Ro is panicking. Bruce lets go. J-Ro is on the ground choking. Bruce stands on the apron again. “Fine, fine.” J-Ro turns around only to be met by Findlay Farraday's boot.

 

Bruce spends most of the match in the apron, doing nothing. He refuses every tag J-Ro wants to make. J-Ro is left fighting the Coastal Guard on her own. She fends the two of them off, but soon, their double team moves are too much. It looks like they are about to go for the pin, but then Bruce comes in, double chokeslams them. J-Ro looks up at Bruce, looks at Findlay, then goes for the pin.
