Help! Sudden dip in popularity in all the regions.

Recommended Posts

I am almost 1 year into the game as ECW and i don't know what has happened suddenly. In the last 1 month, i have dropprd 5-10 pop points out of the blue in every region in USA except my main two regions where i have tv deals and i am still increasing in pop there. What exactly has happened? Decline in pop isn't stopping either and i am losing pop by 1-2 every week in every other state. This has started happening since last month. My ratings have been great so that isn't a problem. Could it be because i ended my relationship with a dev territory last month? But that territory had presence only in one state.

Please help me and tell me why is all this happening? I have worked really hard and grown to 82 momentum and 72 prestige. Why is all this happening?

Some companies have popularity in nearby regions that's higher than what spillover would entail. Not so bad if the owner goals are "Must Not Fall Below Regional". Not so good if the goal is "Must not lose popularity in North America".</p>

You'll start losing pop after so many shows if you aren't seen in those regions. Also, did you buy any of the feds you were posting about yesterday? I ran into that issue in one of my games. It seems to trigger something where you'll just hemorrhage pop in the country you just bought out if you haven't been seen there but fixes itself immediately after you get a TV deal there which is why you never, ever, ever, ever buy a fed you can't get a TV deal with immediately if you aren't seen there already.

Understood the problem then. I had a ppv deal with a network which had a tiny coverage in majority of US states. But few months back, that network closed. Now i just have a deal for PPV in 2 states. That is ehy i am losing pop in all other states now suddenly? How to rectify this problem since no network is willing to work with me till i reach cult? Even then, i have to reach a certain level in some states which i can't do without a tv deal.

Only way to rectify it is by being visible there. If you can't get on there via a network then you'll have to hold shows there.

<p>Depending on how many regions it is, that could get expensive - and, of course, you've already lost a chunk of popularity. You need to be seen there every two or three months (I think! Someone will no doubt confirm) to avoid losing popularity. </p><p> </p><p>

Assuming two months, and that you had popularity US-wide you would need to run a show every week touring those regions until you can get TV/PPV nationwide again.</p><p> </p><p>

And until you can get back to those regions, you'll continue to lose overness.</p><p> </p><p>

Not easy, this game, is it? <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> While I'm loath to suggest using the editor, losing your PPV deal is a bit of a blow. You might want to look and see if you can re-open the carrier you were with, and get your deal back.</p>
