[CVerse] GSW: Guess who's back, back again...

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>The Warehouse, about 6 hours before the opening bell of GSW Showtime! for October 2016</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> "Mr. Weston? Grimm said I should talk to you."</p><p> </p><p> I gestured for whoever it was to wait a moment as I finished scribbling on my notebook. Most folk these days would use a laptop or tablet, but I liked to keep it old school with pencil and paper when making my booking notes. After nearly selling out the Warehouse with King of California, Grimm had made the call to host the rest of the Showtime! events in his club instead of hiring out random low-key venues. It made sense, but it also meant I had to run most of the promotion out of that place and I tried to avoid his office as much as I could. Between guns, the booze, the smoke from the blunts and the shady entourage Brother Grimm kept around him, I could do with a different work environment. The big couch I had claimed for myself curved around a table like a capital C, yet the man standing in front of me was big enough to complete the circle into an O.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="C0RtPiJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/C0RtPiJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Had it not been for the mohawk and spikes coming out of the shoulders of his black leather jacket, for a moment I would have thought it was Boneyard. This kid looked half the age of Grimm's personal bodyguard though, while still packing the size and muscle. To be fair though, being polite had been a strong clue I'd missed, lost as I was in my thoughts. Boneyard was still mad at me and Magwitch from earlier in the year, when the clown provoked a fight with the big man and I let him walk away with a shiner and the damage to his pride Boneyard had already inflicted by the time I showed up.</p><p> </p><p> "Name's Mutant, sir. Used to wrestle in Puerto Rico, but they cut me. Mr. Grimm called to sign me and he said I should talk to you about the rest."</p><p> </p><p> I'd heard of the kid alright. Trained with Lee Wright in Piledriver, same dojo that gave Jack Bruce, Skull DeBones, Rick Law, the Peak Brothers and so many others to the world of wrestling. If he was in Rico with FCW, I could reasonably expect Power to have taught him a thing or two about wrestling as a big man.</p><p> </p><p> "Good to meet you, Mutant. Looks like you take kayfabe pretty seriously, anyone told you this is 2016?" I joked. "Yeah, right after they told me wrestling's fake and hip hop's dead, but it didn't stop me from loving either" he bounced back. I chuckled. "Alright, so you can talk, maybe even shoot from the hip. But can you wrestle? This isn't FCW, you gotta be ready to blade and take some nasty bumps." Mutant bobbed his head, perhaps amused by my question. "I know what I signed up for. Used to team with Bull Wrecker in Puerto Rico. When I got cut, he tried to use his connections and land me a gig with Kajahara in Japan, but you know what it's like over there. Gaijin <strong><em>and</em></strong> black? Not gonna happen." I nodded in understanding. "Still, we already got State of Destruction as our monster heels. We'll have to repackage you, push you in another way. Don't think our fans can relate to 'Mutant' or your whole punk rock look..."</p><p> </p><p> I spent the next half hour with Mutant, going over his potential changes and building up his new character. He was pretty open to everything besides messing with his mohawk. I could respect that, it's pretty distinctive, takes time to grow and from a few clips of himself he showed me in FCW, he was down for some really <em>weird</em> stuff, so he could keep the damn hair in return.</p><p> </p><p> "Senor Weston?"</p><p> </p><p> It was only a few minutes since I was done with Mutant. Now I was about to get back into booking Showtime! when I got interrupted again. And no one had called me 'senor' before.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="mQhVqkL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mQhVqkL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Lg4AAi3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Lg4AAi3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> "Ah, Hellech. Look, I'm a bit burned out now, so go find Magwitch. You two are gonna team up, then fight each other. If I see anything there, we can talk about keeping you around."</p><p> </p><p> He nodded and moved on. I knew it was all an act, being the obedient employee to get on my good side. For a two time IPW Tag Team champion and coming in from the enemy camp, he sure was expecting something bigger. Cindy stayed behind though.</p><p> </p><p> "Something on your mind?" I inquired. She too had jumped ship from IPW, and while she was good to have around, she didn't really hang out with the rest of the locker room, so I doubted she had simply come to introduce Hellech to me. Behind the scenes, she was the exact opposite of her on-screen character. Her boyfriend was still working for our rivals and the pair had to go through the humiliation of seeing her act out like an absolute slut while with us, but such is war.</p><p> </p><p> "It's about Muvva. We got engaged and I was thinking maybe... you know, show up here, do a love triangle angle with me and whoever..." She probably saw the expression on my face and her train of thought got derailed. "Listen Cindy, I get it's hard to be on opposite sides and all, I really do. Muvva's a great case and I'd love to employ him, but the roster's already bloated and I don't want to start another arms race of poaching each other's talents. Everyone I've signed was already released from IPW and I'd like to keep this state of cold war with Nemesis..."</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Pr8YGB5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Pr8YGB5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">"F*CK THAT GUY!"</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> She startled me and probably everyone else around, who turned to see what was going on. "I left IPW because of that f*cker and now you're telling me you don't wanna step on his toes?" My immediate instinct was to be comforting and understanding, but somehow I thought this would make me look weak against her outburst. "Listen Cindy, I know you hate the guy, Grimm hates the guy and guess what, GSW exists just to stick it to that guy! Nemesis is a legend in this business, hardcore business especially, thanks to his work in DAVE. Maybe you don't respect that, maybe I don't respect that either, but right now, your man does and he works for him. Keeping a cool head is what's best for business, because talent jumping ship left and right means all my booking plans go down the sh*tter. You want him to be here, you tell him to take my offer instead of John's when his contract runs out."</p><p> </p><p> Cindy left in a hassle, but I was hoping she'd heed my words once she'd calm down. I let out a long sigh, picked up my pencil and scribbled a few last notes on my agenda.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45658" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Grimm SoCal Wrestling presents: Showtime!</span></strong></p><p> Friday, Week 1, October 2016</p><p> Live at the Warehouse</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Electrified Cage Triple Threat match</span></p><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"> Winner becomes the #1 Contender for the GSW American title</span></p><p> Busta Capp vs Cali Slick vs Deaf Touch</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Death's Door Tag Team match</span></p><p> Madman Boone & B-Trayed vs Hard-1 & Raheem Stash</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening match</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Death's Door Tag Team match</span></p><p> State of Destruction vs Magwitch & Hellech</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Plus the revelation of a new roster member, a special announcement from Cindy and many other surprises!</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

Busta Capp vs <strong>Cali Slick</strong> vs Deaf Touch</p><p> </p><p>

<em>I dont actually know, but out of this three for me Cali Slick is the realistic challenger, and someone who causes doubt in the titlematch if the title is going to change hands or not, meanwhile with Touch and Capp, I know Fro wont lose the title.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Death's Door Tag Team match</p><p>

<strong>State of Destruction</strong> vs Magwitch & Hellech</p><p> </p><p>

<em>A trial match for Hellech, to see if he has chemestry with Magwitch, as their gimmicks are similar enough to make them a tag team inmediatly instead of having to find a reason or a gimmick for two persons to team, they are evil clowns, enough reason to team together and no one questions it, but they will lose just in case they dont have chemestry so next month they can face each other.</em></p>

<p>A heads up to fans of this diary and GSW in general, Poet Justice just kicked off a <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=542614" rel="external nofollow">GSW one of his own</a> and I feel like it's blown this one out of the water, from the music to the visuals and the fact that, you know, the person writing it actually hails from L.A.</p><p> </p><p>

You might have noticed a multiplayer undertaking I've been involved with under the title of "Global Wrestling Council" and alongside my other active diaries (BCG and Piledriver Wrestling) my creative focus and writing time are split thin. With PJ's diary out, it's a good chance to take a small break from this here for a bit, at least during the holidays, while he keeps us GSWmaniacs entertained.</p>

UQzviXg.jpgovPheWR.jpg

Announcing team: Clifford Caves, Travis Century

CC: "Welcome to The Warehouse! That's right, we're at the hottest club and wrestling venue in SoCal baby and this is GSW Showtime!"

TC: "Hardcore wrestling's our business and business has been good... so good we actually don't have to run around small time venues every month for this, we're stuck here and so should you be!"

wg9dbTq.jpgxXSCygv.jpg

Fro Sure comes out with the GSW American title and Kali Fornia. He takes his place up at the DJ booth, puts a headset around his neck and tests the built-in DJ mic.

"Alright my n***ers and n***erettes, let's get this party started!"

State of Destruction vs Magwitch & Hellech

Death's Door Tag Team match

To call this match an overbooked trainwreck would be like saying the sun is warm. In just 5 minutes and 18 seconds, the two teams hit all sorts of insane spots, with State of Destruction running wild on the clowns and Magwitch trying like a madman to introduce fire to the match, leaving Hellech all alone to be demolished by the behemoths.

Winners: State of Destruction

Carrying the GSW West Coast title with him, JOJI is led to the ring by Cummy Ling, who grabs a mic to introduce him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, though I doubt any of you here classify as such, your GSW West Coast champion, JOJI!"

Fans boo the duo, though some can still be heard cheering for the high flying Asian champion.

"I have beaten all comers. Now I am out of challengers."

Mobstar's music plays and he comes out to join JOJI in the ring. Just as it looks like he's about to speak, he catches the champion with a big haymaker out of nowhere! Mobstar continues to beat down the fallen JOJI, responding physically, not verbally, to the champion's challenge.

Lights go out and an eerie music starts to play. Mumbling chants in an unknown language slowly fade in. The screen reveals a scene in a dark forest, shot at night and without any leaves on the trees. A massive man is plucking feathers from a chicken, whose neck has been sliced just moments ago, the blood still gushing out. The man turns to face the camera and footage fades out, but not before his face can be seen.

Cindy comes out to a roaring storm of "Slut!" chants. Dismissing the crowd, she picks up a mic and holds up her other hand. On it, a big shiny ring catches a beam of club lights from around.

"I bet all you skanky b*tches follow me on social media so you can drool over my photos, so I bet you heard the news about me an' Hustle Muvva gettin' engaged. I know you'd like nothing more than to see me run to him in IPW, but that ain't the way I roll. You see, while he's over there and I'm over here, I get to do my thing with whoever I like, get my rocks off. Take lessons, ladies. N***az gonna pick up a side chick anyway sooner or later, so you might as well beat 'em to it!"

Madman Boone & B-Trayed

Death's Door Tag Team match

Boone has some pretty intense moments against both fellow veteran Hard-1 and one half of his manager's kidnappers in Stash. B-Trayed on the other hand is more preoccupied with his own former manager, Cindy, a fact she uses smartly to throw him off game and allow Hard-1 to connect with a Mafia Kick for the knock out.

MexiCain hits the ring with a mic in his back pocket.

"I came out here for one reason, and that's to apologize to mi hermano, Mexico's Finest. I know I cost you a spot at the King of California finals, esse, but you know I was trying to help. So here I am, in front of everybody.. I'm sorry, homie."

H9lfJM5.jpg

Mexico's Finest hits the ring for an intense staredown with MexiCain. The tension is relieved when the two men hug each other, but all of a sudden, Finest turns the hug into a Belly to Belly suplex! A stunned MexiCain tries to get up, only to get hit with the Hard Times (Spear) from the big bad man, who leaves his former ally lying in the middle of the ring.

Deaf Touch (with Little Miss Sunshine)

Capp and Slick make their entrances, then Deaf Touch comes out

and with Little Miss Sunshine carrying the King of California trophy. With three men inside the cage and three managers outside, the action has a lot of moving parts but the focus remains on the drama unfolding inside the ring for the most part of the sixteen or so minutes this match lasts. Capp and Slick team up to take out Deaf Touch, but their alliance crumbles once it's time to make the pin. The two go at it, with Capp's explosive aggression giving him the advantage at first, until Slick showcases a cool head to use it against him and send Capp onto the electrified cage wires. With Capp out for a bit, Slick gets to work on Deaf Touch, but can't get the pin due to DT's well documented resilience. Capp rejoins the fray by taking out Slick from behind, thus allowing him and Deaf Touch to go one on one for a while, until a double attempt at a Mafia Kick takes both men out. Slick has a golden opportunity to win the match and of the two fallen opponents, he chooses Deaf Touch, who he hits with a Slick-Back for good measure before pinning.

Winner: Cali Slick

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em><strong>The Warehouse, one day before GSW Urban Warfare 2016</strong></em></p><p><em><strong> </strong></em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> I was on my usual spot in the Warehouse, the C-shaped sofa I had claimed as my makeshift office. Hunched over my laptop, I was checking out the opening match from this year's Shawn Gonzalez Memorial Show 2016. LatiNoFear hit El Hijo Del Fantasma with his finisher, cover, one two three. Kid had potential, shame we had to let him walk due to his past with the law. As if Grimm and his entourage were any cleaner.</p><p> </p><p> "Got a minute, CJ?"</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="wg9dbTq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wg9dbTq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Fro wasn't his usual cheerful self and if <em>Fro</em> wasn't cool, something was <em>really</em> wrong. I offered him a seat and slapped my laptop screen shut so I could focus on the news. This was something big, I could feel it.</p><p> </p><p> "I got a call from the Guru to discuss some stuff about Showdown at Sundown this next week, ya dig? Now I know you got some beef with Mr. Anderson over there..."</p><p> </p><p> To say I had 'beef' with 'Mr.' Cliff Anderson was an understatement. We sure butted heads during my time with CZCW, especially while I tried to get rid of that ridiculous "E.M.M. Moe" gimmick, but when he kept holding me back in favor of masked high flyers despite the Citizen X character getting over with the fans, I told him to f**k off and moved on to MAW.</p><p> </p><p> "...but it looks like he started up some sh*t with Grimm too."</p><p> </p><p> I tried to swallow. Grimm was a madman with money and connections to the underworld. He was a known hothead on a short fuse. Was Anderson trying to provoke him into self destruction?</p><p> </p><p> "Thanks for the heads-up, Fro. Appreciate it, I really do. CZCW is the big player in this state and I know they've been pushing you pretty hard. You could have just shut up and moved on. So why tell me?"</p><p> </p><p> Fro smiled. At last.</p><p> </p><p> "GSW is my home, man. Grimm brought me into IPW, gave me a shot, so I stuck with him after the split. Hooked me up in the rap game, too. I'll take that over being the Funkmeister in CZ'dub and dancing around like a clown."</p><p> </p><p> It was nice to know that he thought like this. Fro had it all: the skills, the mic chops, the charisma and the elusive 'it' factor. If he wasn't a skinny black man, the big companies would have already signed him away and pushed him to the moon. I thanked Fro and bid him farewell; my phone had been ringing for a while.</p><p> </p><p> "Yo, new guy show up yet?"</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="12RJue4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/12RJue4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The familiar deep voice of Cali Slick on the other end of the line had a tone to it I couldn't recognize. Was he messing with me again?</p><p> </p><p> "Yeah he's here alright. We've been going through the details of his debut. Why, wanna work with him?"</p><p> </p><p> Slick burst into a hearty laugh. He always had this serious demeanor, hearing him laugh conjured images of a mad gang boss laughing off a threat before shooting the perpetrator in the face.</p><p> </p><p> "Work with him? B*tch, Johnny boy Nemesis already made me an offer to replace him! Guaranteed push plus a lot o' that sweet, sweet Gil Thomas dough."</p><p> </p><p> It had begun. A new round of back and forth signings. I'd pulled the trigger on bringing Hustle Muvva onboard, but if that meant losing Slick, it wasn't worth the trade. Not now, not ever.</p><p> </p><p> "You know I got plans for you, Slick. If you're trying to corner me, it's working. You know Grimm's fond of you and we can outbid whatever those sh*theads offered to pay you. D'you really wanna move to the minor leagues?"</p><p> </p><p> Slick was silent for what felt like an eternity.</p><p> </p><p> "Hell naw, CJ! I'm just f**king wit' cha, boi! The offer's true though, so you might wanna watch out for rats like dem Mexican Hardcore Killaz. I expect your bonus money offer to be just as true. Run that through Grimm, along with the card, will ya?"</p><p> </p><p> *click*</p><p> </p><p> I let out a sigh of relief. Fro and Slick were both cornerstones of the company. For a few minutes that day, I almost thought I'd lost them both. The clicking of heels on the Warehouse floor snapped me out of it. I raised a hand and ordered a glass of Hennessy.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="3pgtwAI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3pgtwAI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> "Sure thing. Looks like you could use one."</p><p> </p><p> This business wasn't being kind to me, hadn't been since day one. I should have gotten the hint by now, but I guess I was just too stubborn to quit.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45658" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Grimm SoCal Wrestling presents: Urban Warfare 2016</span></strong></p><p> Friday, Week 3 October 2016</p><p> Live at the Warehouse</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Barb Wire Cage match for the GSW American title</span></p><p> Fro Sure vs Cali Slick</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">GSW West Coast title match</span></p><p> JOJI vs Mobstar</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Barb Wire Weapons match</strong></p><p> MexiCain vs Mexico's Finest</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Overhead X Wires match</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner remains with GSW, loser leaves the promotion</span></p><p> Cheech Kong vs Omar</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Clown Wars match</strong></p><p> Hellech vs Magwitch</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Barb Wire Weapons match</strong></p><p> State of Destruction vs Top Dolla & "The New Jersey Devil" Tank Bradley</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">State of Destruction vs "The New Jersey Devil" Tank Bradley & Top Dolla</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Barb Wire Weapons match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Bradley may have made his name in DaVE, but that doesn't mean jack sh*t to the GSW fans; he's white and he's from the East Coast, so they shower him with pure hatred from the darkest depths of their souls. Fortunately, the two resident monster men make short work of him and his wigger teammate in this chaotic mess of a match, who again forgets to check himself so he ends up wrecking himself with another one of his signature balcony dives.</p><p>

As soon as the bell rings, Notorious come out with the GSW Tag Team titles high in the air.</p><p>

<strong>Barerra:</strong> Yo you guys want a real challenge? Come get some real challenge?</p><p>

<strong>Rivera:</strong> What mi amigo Carlos here is saying, you look real bad whoopin' the asses of rookies and has beens but we bet you can't do jack sh*t against a real tag team like us. We've beaten all comers, might as well beat you also in a one-on-one match!</p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Hellech vs Magwitch</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Death's Door match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A grudge match following the clown team's defeat at the hands of BB Colossus and Boneyard two weeks ago, this one sees Hellech pull off all the lucha-inspired flips, kicks and dive in his arsenal. Magwitch, on the other side, gets by on sheer power, hardcore violence and absolute disregard for his own well being. The match is chaotic but ends clean after Magwitch catches Hellech mid-air and hits the Stump Piledriver onto a steel chair to lay out his opponent for the ten count.</p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Omar vs Cheech Kong</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Overhead X Wires match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The wires are set up to form an X above the ring and right where they meet, a briefcase is hung up. Inside is a contract, promising whoever retrieves it, an extension of their run with GSW, meaning the loser of this match says goodbye. This setup not only makes for a compelling story, it also allows both competitors to showcase their athleticism and ingenuity. Both men excite the fans with their spectacular aerial skills, but Omar also has the toughness and brawling skills that Kong lacks. Using those to put the hurt on Kong and get the fans behind him, Omar slowly breaks down his opponent and eventually manages to give himself enough time to climb the wires, crawl to where they meet and unhook the brieface to win.</p><p>

The somewhat emotional moment of Kong's departure is followed by the surprise appearance of IPW's Hustle Muvva! Fans boo the former IPW champion, but it doesn't seem to get under his skin at all.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Muvva:</strong> Shut the f**k up, b*tches! I ain't here to entertain you, I'm here for my fiancee! Cindy! CINDY! Come out 'ere!</p><p> </p><p>

Deaf Touch comes out, an arm around Cindy and another one around Little Miss Sunshine, both clad in extremely provocative clothing. Little Miss Sunshine is carrying the King of California pimp cup trophy, while Cindy's got a mic in hand.</p><p>

<strong>Cindy:</strong> Hey babe. I know you're wond'rin' what's goin' on and I appreciate you showin' up here, I really do. Thing is... we can't start a family with those paychecks we've been gettin' from IPW, baby!</p><p> </p><p>

Fans cheer at the verbal shot and a "F**k IP-dub!" chant starts boiling up from the crowd. Between their reaction and Cindy's words, Hustle Muvva is too confused to notice a huge Jamaican walking up right behind him...</p><p>

Raheem Stash simply puts Hustle Muvva in a Sleeper Hold, his massive biceps easily choking the air out of Muvva's throat until he collapses to the mat, easy prey for Deaf Touch and Stash to beat down before they leave.</p><p> </p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">MexiCain vs Mexico's Finest</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Barb Wire Weapons match</strong></p></div><p></p><p>

MexiCain really looks like he doesn't want to fight his friend and even now insists on apologizing. Finest is hard to read, as usual, but once he answers the offer for a handshake with a chokeslam, his intentions become more than obvious. Despite the items lying about wrapped in barb wire, the match features a surprising amount of actual wrestling, at least in comparison to the show's first two matches and until Finest actually introduces a weapon to the match. Way more aggressive and lacking any second thoughts, Finest easily gets the upper hand in what's becoming a battle for survival from MexiCain's side and pins him clean after a Hard Times (Spear) onto a barb wire-wrapped chair he'd stuck between the ropes on one corner.</p><p>

GSW West Coast title match</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">JOJI vs Mobstar</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Death's Door match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Cummy Ling is absent from JOJI's side this time, perhaps signifying how seriously he takes Mobstar as an opponent or in an attempt from the champion to protect his good looking valet. Now a singles wrestler, Mobstar shows he can really go on his own as well, dishing out a street level beating to the dreadlocked underdog. His own excitement gets the best of him though and after recklessly throwing himself at JOJI, the champion dodges to send him crashing out of the ring, head first onto the barricade. JOJI slingshots off the ropes, hops onto the top rope and hits a spectacular Miracle Explosion onto the outside, pinning his challenger there to retain.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner and STILL GSW West Coast champion: JOJI</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

As the lyrics drop and lights go up again, a massive, <em>massive</em> mohawked man pounces at JOJI, laying him out with a flurry of blows. Near 400lbs and almost as big as BB Colossus, but with muscle instead of fat, the big bad man makes his presence felt as the song reaches its crescendo. Security pours out to stop him and he sends bodies flying out of the ring, continuing his assault almost until the music ends and he retreats.</p><p>

With Moore Vincent in the ring, Cali Slick comes out with CJ Weston by his side.</p><p>

<strong>Weston:</strong> Cut the music! I got an announcement to make! As you all know, my client, Cali Slick, will be fighting Brother Grim's favoured son, Fro Sure for the GSW American title inside a cage made of barb wire! That cage is something I specifically asked for, because as we all know, outside interference is a thing that can tip the scales in favour of one side. So with that cage in place, Cali Slick and myself won't have to worry about the likes of Boneyard or BB Colossus. So now the only thing we got left to worry about is what's inside the cage. That includes you, Moore. I know you've been bending the rules in favour of Fro and thanks to a few phone calls I made, the California Commission of Pro Wrestling Referees knows that too. So for such an important match as tonight's main event and due to your prior unprofessional conduct, they have provided me with someone to replace you for this match. Please welcome...</p><p>

<strong>GSW American title match</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Fro Sure</span></strong><strong> (with Kali Fornia) vs </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Cali Slick</span></strong><strong> (with CJ Weston)</strong></p><p><strong>

Barb Wire Cage match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Confident and laid back as usual, Fro Sure takes a few jabs at Slick, but the challenger's expression does not change. Fro tries lock on and slap a hold, but Slick easily overpowers him and tosses him away, with Fro managing to stop just inches before hitting the barb wire cage wall. The champion's arrogance turns to confusion and Slick presses his advantage to hurt him with a few power moves. The pain shoots Fro into proper fighting mode and thanks to a few well placed punches, he gets back in the match. Momentum swings back and forth as GSW's top dogs duke it out and Slick seems to have a slight advantage thanks to Weston's fresh pair of eyes and coaching instructions. No member of Grimm Inc makes an appearance throughout the match and with Fro running out of both allies and ideas, he eventually gets hit with a Slick-Back (chokeslam) onto the barb wire cage board, before Slick covers him. Referee Chad Brent drops to the mat to count, one, two, three!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner and NEW GSW American champion: Cali Slick</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Cali Slick's music switches to Ice Cube's "Hello" as Busta Capp comes out with Kandii to celebrate. Capp joins the new champion in the ring and gestures at Fro and Moore Vincent, signalling this is the end of Grimm Inc, but Slick doesn't take kindly to Capp stealing his spotlight and acting like it was him who won the title. The two men start arguing about something, but the timely interference of CJ Weston seems to defuse the situation, at least for now, as the show wraps up.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Urban Warfare had been a huge success, despite barely <em>not</em> topping that month's Showtime! as our best show to date. Needless to say that by this point, IPW was seeing our back on a regular basis. We'd plucked Hustle Muvva and their repeated attempts to grab Slick and Capp were turned down before I could even consider matching the offer. Our losses were shrinking rapidly while the fanbase was heading the opposite direction. Both the business and the economy were booming. Hopefully we could grow to what could be considered "Regional" size soon, finally stop being compared to the likes of IPW or SWF's developmental in the East.</p><p> </p><p> Numbers aside, October had also been a month of roster shakeup. Hellech dropped in after IPW cut him but didn't stick around. Kong said goodbye with a great match, putting Omar over on his way out. Bradley I wasn't counting, he'd been hired for a one-night deal and delivered his absolute worst. Looking forward, it wasn't gonna be any easier. Moore Vincent's contract had almost run out and just to be sure, I wrote him out with the whole "corrupt ref" angle; if Grimm wanted to keep him around, fine, he could play second fiddle to Brent. Mobstar, Finest and Dolla still had mileage in their contracts. As for Voodoo, I was more worried he'd be off to the big leagues before I could fully utilize him proper. Oh well, such is life in the indies.</p><p> </p><p> The tag title showdown had been set up nicely and just to stretch it a bit, I called in the Inner City Express after I heard ACPW cut them. "Pimp Touch" as the boys now called him, was still going hot with Stash as his wingman. His list of enemies had only grown longer with the arrival of Hustle Muvva and this in return made my life easier with a bunch of matchups I could put together in the upcoming shows. Likewise, the main event scene was a complicated mess between Slick, Capp, Fro, Grimm Inc and so forth. Business was good.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45658" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Grimm SoCal Wrestling presents: Showtime!</span></strong></p><p> Friday, Week 1 November 2016</p><p> Live at the Warehouse</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Brass Knuckles match</span></p><p> Mexico's Finest vs Hustle Muvva</p><p> <em>If Hustle Muvva wins, he will be offered a contract with GSW</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event</strong></p><p> Tag Team Grudge match</p><p> Deaf Touch & Raheem Stash vs Madman Boone & B-Trayed</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Special GSW Debut match</strong></p><p> Voodoo vs Devyn Retribution</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opener Tag Team match</strong></p><p> State of Destruction vs ACPW's Inner City Express (Jay Becker & Malik Cash) </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

Fro Sure's music hits and the former champion comes out. Kali Fornia is by his side, but she looks extremely disinterested, unlike all her previous appearances.

Fro: It's cool, it's cool... We hustled Slick and now we got hustled in return. I ain't even mad at the man, he beat me fair and square. Thing is Slick, you still didn't have the last word. Someone else stole your spotlight in this big win. I know Grimm Inc's got my back. Can you say the same for your little Busta b*tch?

K14fImu.jpgLBt9mdU.jpg

State of Destruction come out to the menacing riffs and raps of Faith No More and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E., flanking the other members of Grimm Inc.

Grimm: We're running the show here. Not Weston, not Slick, no go**amn Sports Committee. This the streets, n***as! And my n***as here gonna show these ACPW punk asses how we roll, before they curb stomp them Notorious b*tches for the tag titles!

Her interest resurfacing after Grimm's words, Kali Fornia takes BB Colossus and Boneyard by the hand and leads them to the ring for the opening match.

ACPW's Inner City Express vs State of Destruction with Kali Fornia

Death's Door match

With a reputation for being spot monkeys able to put on the occasional high flying match, the Inner City Express launch themselves at their opponents showing blatant disregard for their own well being as they use their bodies as weapons. Although State of Destruction can't follow such a frantic pace, they are still big and strong enough to respond: Cash gets caught on the top rope before he can pull off a dive when Boneyard grabs him by the throat, before subsequently chokeslamming him through a table set up on the outside. The spot puts out Cash for good and left alone to fend for himself, Becker soon suffers the wrath of both State of Destruction monsters.

Winners: State of Destruction

Voodoo vs Devyn Retribution

Death's Door match

Devyn hits full speed from the opening bell hoping to surprise his opponent, but Voodoo shows he can keep up thanks to his surprising athleticism. Caught unprepared and losing all hope, Devyn quickly gets mauled about and thrown like a rag doll in a proper car crash of a squash until he is laid out with a spinning powerbomb called the Fate Spinner.

Winner: Voodoo

Ling: Hey there, big creepy man... You seem pretty tired for a quick easy match. Good thing I got myself a real athlete here. A man who can go all... night... long!

JOJI: They told me you're next in line for a shot at my title. If that's how challengers are chosen in this company, so be it. I'm a fighting champion. I'll see you in that ring!

Deaf Touch (with Little Miss Sunshine) & Raheem Stash (with Cindy) vs Madman Boone & B-Trayed

Death's Door match

Boone and B-Trayed enter first, looking ready to do some damage. Deaf Touch and Stash come out with their "managers" leading the pimp daddy and his muscle man to the ring. Stash and Boone lock up horns to kick off the match, the two big powerhouses trading blows until Boone's experience allows him to gain the upper hand. The veteran tries to end things on his own though and after some back and forth, Deaf Touch blind tags himself in and eventually grounds the big man enough for Stash to come in for some double team moves. Returning the favor, B-Trayed doesn't bother to break up any pin attempts and Boone is left on his own to power out of each cover, until he finally gives the hot tag to his teammate who comes in hot and gives Stash a bit of a rough time, before Deaf Touch catches him unaware with a Crooked Moonsault for the ten count pin.

Winners: Deaf Touch & Raheem Stash

Carrying the crown jewel of the company on his shoulder, Cali Slick hits the ring with CJ Weston close behind him.

Slick: Two weeks ago at Urban Warfare, I did what I set out to do. I stuck it to Grimm Inc and won back my title. Seein' them come out here today though, I don't think my job's done. Grimm Inc is still together and as much as I hate to admit it, Fro was right. I had to make my peace with Busta Capp so I could focus on winnin' the title, but he just couldn't stand the thought that I won and he had nothing to do with it.

The opening lines of Ice Cube's "Hello" feel like a response to Slick's words as Busta Capp comes out, Kandii on his side as always.

Capp: Seriously n***a? I had nothin' to do with you winnin' that title? B*tch, only reason you got that strap's 'cause I let you take it off of Fro! I got outta your way so you could take the gold from Grimm Inc after they f***ed us both! I had your back against 'em, n***a! Now you wanna start beef with me?

Weston: Gentlemen, calm down. Like the champ said, the enemy's still out there. How about we focus on finishing off Grimm Inc, yes?

Music hits and still looking unconvinced, the involved parties retreat backstage.

Mexico's Finest vs Hustle Muvva

Brass Knuckles match

If Hustle Muvva wins, he will be offered a contract with GSW

The main event plays out a lot like a boxing match, only the competitors wear brass knuckles instead of gloves. Punches sting, leaving cuts and blood all over as momentum goes back and forth while fans cheer Mexico's Finest on against the IPW Invader. Pumped up by fan support, Finest gains a slight advantage and after putting Muvva in an armlock, removes the knuckles from his hands. Finest plays to the crowd, signalling his dominance and setting them on fire, but Muvva still has an ace up his sleeve: the neck chains he's left on one ringpost, which he wraps around his fist to clog Finest and lay him out for good.

Winner: Hustle Muvva

Main Event

Special Tag Team match

Fro Sure & Cali Slick vs Death Row (Knuckles & Shady K)

I dont know how well Fro and Cali can work as a functional team, but that doesnt matter, one is the champion, the other is a former champion and contender for the championship, they arent losing to the SWF rejects.

Semi Main Event

Barb Wire Weapons match

Hustle Muvva vs Raheem Stash

The IPW Invader vs The GSW Prospect, I have to give the win to Stash, I dont see you feeding him to Muvva, with all the potential he has, he shouldnt be buried.

Grudge match

B-Trayed vs Madman Boone

Madman is a great asset even if its to put over the main eventers, but B-Trayed isnt at his level so I see Boone getting a bit of momentum.

Death's Door match

Omar vs Voodoo

Voodoo is on the fast track to a West Coast Title shot, so he will continue beating sensesly the midcard.

Veteran versus Psycho Clown match

Hard-1 vs Magwitch

I dont particularly like Magwitch, also the veterans put over people, but they need some wins under their belt if they want to be considered serious threats, and can put over easily the prospects.

Opener

GSW Tag Team titles match

Notorious vs State of Destruction

Sinceramente, aun no se como lo van a hacer, pero dudo que Notorious vaya a perder tan pronto los campeonatos, se van a salvar de alguna forma.

Magwitch makes a graphic entrance with a cigarette in his mouth and a blowtorch he uses to light it up. Hard-1 takes off his neck chain so he can swing it as a weapon and the two are off to the races for a hardcore brawl that makes full use of the surrounding scenery, including the finish of Hard-1 hitting the Mafia Kick to send the psycho clown crashing through the glass surface of a nearby table for the ten count.</p><p>

For all his athleticism, Omar can't really manage to get any damage done against the massive Voodoo, who shakes off his attacks and retaliates with clubbing blows. Forced to go high risk in hopes of getting under his opponent's skin, Omar resorts to his arsenal of high velocity attacks. The moves barely stagger the big man and once he's onto the new gameplan, Voodoo somehow manages to catch Omar in the middle of a crossbody, reversing it into the Fate Spinner to win the match.</p><p>

Barb Wire Weapons match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Hustle Muvva is off to the races before introductions are even complete, grabbing a chair wrapped in barb wire to swing at Stash; the big Jamaican isn't intimidated though and manages to grab Muvva's forearms before impact! After a tug of war over the chair, Muvva switches his game plan and kicks Stash straight in the jewels. The assault that follows is only cut short thanks to the interference of Cindy, allowing Stash to recover and hit Muvva from behind. After getting some damage done, Stash traps Muvva's foot in a chair and viciously stomps it, but the IPW import just won't stay down.</p><p>

Probably assuming his man needs a bit of help to get the job done, Deaf Touch comes out and gets on the ring apron but his presence seems to upset Stash who is adamant about doing what he was paid to do on his own. The dissent ends with Muvva knocking Stash onto Deaf Touch to send him flying to the ringside floor, before Stash bounces off the ropes to get caught with a Hustler's Headbutt for the pin. Now victorious, Hustle Muvva grabs Cindy by the arm and drags her with him backstage.</p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Death Row vs Fro Sure & Cali Slick</span></strong><strong> (with CJ Weston)</strong></p><p><strong>

Death's Door match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The former SWF stars know how to work as a tag team and GSW's hardcore environment allows them to shine in a way they were never able to do so while with the Eisens. Local 'defenders' Fro and Slick are familiar with the style and have the support of the crowd, but for all their individual skill, they are far from a proper tag team. Their long feud over the American title isn't helping either and every time they manage to get some momentum going, they seem to implode, allowing Death Row to make a comeback until Weston decides he's seen enough and rallies the troops. Death Row shift their attention to the veteran manager to take him out with a double chokeslam, but as it turns out his sacrifice wasn't in vain and Slick is able to hit Shady K with the Slick-Back before assisting Fro to put Knuckles in the Sure Thing piledriver.</p><p>

<p>I looked at the numbers again. No matter how many times I went through it all, they wouldn't change. Only thing that could change was me accepting them and man, that was easier said than done. After all these months, IPW was once again ahead of us. And it was all because of one man.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Ls7FL1p.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ls7FL1p.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> Edd f**king Stone</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> I had no one to blame but myself. I was the one who told Cindy I didn't want to poach more talent and start an arms race with Nemesis. Then I went ahead and did it anyway, not for her sake but because I figured Muvva could work a nice angle with her, Stash and Touch. In response, Gil Thomas flexed his financial muscle to bring in the black sheep of the Stone family. The 24 hour party animal was now working for both TCW and IPW. <p>Main Event</p><p>

Last Blood match</p><p>

<strong>Fro Sure</strong> vs Madman Boone</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Fro Sure is a rising star, and one of your top 3 main eventers, he shouldnt be losing against the veteran, Boones role now is too put over the top guys of the new generation that can put over GSW.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Co-Main Event</p><p>

Barb Wire Weapons match</p><p>

<strong>Busta Capp</strong> vs Mexico's Finest</p><p> </p><p>

IPW Defectors Derby</p><p>

Brass Knuckles match</p><p>

B-Trayed vs <strong>Hustle Muvva</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hustle Muvva was a big coup, and even if it kind of backfired with all the Edd Stone Issue, theres no going back, so its better to get all you can of the situation, and Muvva is close or even already a main eventer, and he comes with the Invader heat, so is a very good card to have in your hand.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Opener</p><p>

Last Blood match</p><p>

Magwitch vs <strong>MexiCain</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Flanked by State of Destruction, the owner of GSW comes out to a big pop.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Gimm:</strong> Christmas is early up in this b*tch! Y'know, earlier this year when we started doin' Showtime, we had to use smaller places than this joint. Now it's been less than a year and tonight is the first time ever you crazy moth****ers have sold out the Warehouse for a GS-dub show. Got me in a fine-ass mood since I heard. So I thought I'd give you n****s something back in return and give myself a Christmas gift too. At Game of Death, I'm gonna make Cali Slick defend his American title for the very first time...</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><a href="https://youtu.be/_VVdwnipYCg" rel="external nofollow"><em>[if you wanna find me, come to Long Beach, 213 is where I be, I'm from Long Beach...]</em></a><p>

Grimm's announcement is cut short by the music of Cali Slick. The GSW American champion comes out and it looks like he'll come to blows with State of Destruction, but Weston intervenes to calm things down, saying Slick just wants to talk.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Slick:</strong> Don't look so happy now, do ya n***a? See, I wanted to come out here and hear this sh*t firsthand. I wanted to see if you got the balls to say it to my face. Who you gonna make me fight for the gold?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Grimm:</strong> Oh I'm as happy as can be, you lil' b*tch... You ain't gonna look so smooth tho, 'cause you're opponent will be... Busta Capp!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><a href="https://youtu.be/n3Jwxs9b_gE" rel="external nofollow"><em>[i started this gangsta shit and this the mutha****in' thanks I get?]</em></a><p>

<strong>Capp:</strong> That another o' your tricks, Grimm? Gotta come to terms with reality, man. Fro lost the strap. Grimm Inc ain't winnin' those tag titles. Your crew's done.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Grimm:</strong> Far from it...</p><p> </p><p>

Grimm drops the mic and joins State of Destruction in attacking both Slick and Capp. Weston is quickly taken out by Boneyard and Kandii screams her lungs out at the edge of the brawl until the locker room empties to pull everyone apart and get the show started.</p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">MexiCain vs Magwitch</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Last Blood match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

MexiCain is well aware of what he's up against so he his full speed as soon as the opening bell rings, assaulting Magwitch with everything he can pull off and then some. This sets the tone and pace of the match, with Magwitch using his size advantage to control the brawl for the most part. Totally unhinged, the psycho clown brings plenty of violence, weapons and buckets of blood, both his and his opponents', to the match but this strength of his is also his greatest weakness, causing him to lose focus and overdo it with theatrics or giggling hysterically, allowing MexiCain to eventually spike him on a steel chair with a DDT for the knockout win.</p><p>

Notorious hit the ring, circling the exhausted MexiCain</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Barerra:</strong> 'sup esse? Sucks to be in the opener killing yourself against clowns, huh? Sh*t, to think you used to hold these titles not so long ago...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rivera:</strong> But then you lost 'em and you lost LatiNoFear too. Had to stick with Finest only. Watch his back. Help him out. Stay in his shadow. And what did you get for it? A title shot? Thanks? Pat in the back?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MexiCain:</strong> You gonna keep talkin' sh*t about me amigo, or you gonna get to the point</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rivera:</strong> My point is you can beat clowns all you like, but you wanna do any better than that, you gonna need some help. Who can you trust, if not your own... Raza?</p><p> </p><p>

The three men bump fists and retreat together to the backstage area.</p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">B-Trayed vs Hustle Muvva</span></strong><strong> (with Cindy)</strong></p><p><strong>

Brass Knuckles match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Despite having been promoted as a clash between two former IPW wrestlers, the match itself has nothing to do with it. Instead, the focus is on Cindy, former manager of B-Trayed before jumping ship to Stash and Deaf Touch and now cornering her real life fiance after he beat the Jamaican at Gangsta's Paradise last month. The action is typical GSW hood style brawling, but it is the presence of Cindy at ringside that adds tension and a sense of uncertainty: she could be the deciding factor here, though for what exactly and in who's favor is anyone's guess. Even when the action spills out of the ring, she is around but doesn't get involved though her presence seems to inspire both men to greater feats of violence instead of worry them about what she'll do and eventually Hustle Muvva takes this one home after hitting his opponent with the Hustler's Headbutt for the ten count.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Hustle Muvva</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The theme of Deaf Touch seems to light a fire under Muvva and the GSW King of California is barely able to make an entrance with Little Miss Sunshine by his side before Muvva charges him for a brawl that takes both of them to the backstage area and an uncertain outcome.</p><p>

Cummy Ling leads JOJI to the center of the ring and procures a mic for him.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>JOJI:</strong> I know people wonder how I can hope to defeat Voodoo at Game of Death and keep my West Coast title. He is big. He is mean. He is violent. And I'll give it to him, he is talented. But when it comes to talent and skill, he just can't compare with me. I won this prize for a reasonghfbksdg....</p><p> </p><p>

JOJI starts having spasms. Cummy Ling checks up on him until a big cough has him spit out blood! The shock of it (and part of the blood landing on Ling) sends her into a fit of screaming. The lights go out and Ling starts screaming again, until the big screen comes alive with the face of Voodoo on it.</p><p> </p><p>

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Mexico's Finest vs Busta Capp</span></strong><strong> (with Kandii)</strong></p><p><strong>

Barb Wire Weapons match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Despite always being around, Busta Capp hasn't actually wrestled a match in a while and with Grimm's announcement at the start of this show, he's looking to build momentum but most important, make it to the main event in two weeks without an excess of physical damage from tonight. Finest on the other hand is coming of a loss to Hustle Muvva and must be thinking about the actions of Notorious and MexiCain earlier. If nothing else, the setup adds drama and has both men slugging it out with a burning desire to win but the presence of Kandii provides an edge to Capp, who ends up winning the fight by blocking a chair shot with a Mafia Kick that sends it straight into the face of Mexico's Finest</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Busta Capp</strong></p><p><strong>

Fro Sure vs Madman Boone</strong></p><p><strong>

Last Blood match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Boone's massive size and power advantage makes him the favorite here and that's before taking into account his experience involving hardcore matches. The only thing working against him is age, something Fro is well aware and trying to use in his favor with swift dodges and a fluid, fast paced style looking to exhaust the veteran. Apparently his time with CZCW has taught him a thing or two about quick and hard hitting matches, allowing Fro to execute his plan to perfection and wear down Boone for the win.</p><p>
