It looks like I was probably going to lose this by at least one vote anyway, but I just saw that DarK_RaideR voted for himself in this poll. I didn't think that was allowed.

I agree, it was strictly written in the rules. This could only lead to total disqualification.

<p>Thank you to everyone who has brought this to my attention. I have just sent a message to DarK_RaideR and let him know that his vote would be deducted from the final tally.</p><p>

Disqualification on a first offence would be over the top and take away from what could be a honest mistake. Not to mention all those who have taken the time to vote in favour or Said Diary.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Everyone will be given a fair chance and honest mistakes happen. If DarK_RaideR were to self vote again, then a DQ would be called.</p>

Didn't notice any rule against self voting, which felt strange, same way being allowed to self nominate did, so I thought I'd cast one my way. Still felt like a dick move once I'd voted, but found no way to change it.</p><p> </p><p>

For what it's worth, my vote goes to DarEatWorld and his ECP diary. I may be a Voeltzwagon fan, but Dar puts so much work in his writing for ECP it won me over.</p><p> </p><p>

Rules are rules and although it was indeed an honest mistake, I won't mind whether Togg rules it a DQ, awards the tainted victory to make me the David Arquette of DOTM or whatever he decides to do.</p><p> </p><p>

You all have my apologies.</p>

This should absolutely not be an automatic DQ. Togg is right, we all make errors and DarK RaideR has owned his. Lesson learned and we all move on. Best of luck to all involved.
