What is the worst part about censorship? Nobody knows! The Guerrilla faithful were definitely not censored when it came to their hatred for "The Carolina Caveman" Trevor Lee. Lee, a self-professed "TNA Wrestling SUUUPERSTAR", made sure those in Reseda knew exactly how he felt about them: fat, lazy, pieces of crap who could never be him. And as for Matt Riddle, "he's just a marijuana smokin' hippie". Riddle agreed with Lee's statement and shook Trevor's hand as the bell rung to signal the start of this competitive encounter. Riddle impressed the audience with his vast offence and nearly had the match won on a few occasions, but a well-placed thumb to the eye allowed Lee to capitalize and connect with the Small Package Driver at 11:43 for the cheap win.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="width:625px;background-color:rgb(29, 29, 29);padding:15px;text-align:justify;"><div style="text-align:justify;font-variant:normal;font-size:26px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial;"><b><font color="#9a9a9a">FENIX & PENTAGON JR. DEF. FLAMITA & BANDIDO</font></b></div></div></p><p>

Lucha Libre excellence was on full display as four masked marvels entered the PWG ring with one goal in mind: steal the show! The Lucha Brothers and the Lucha Friends went toe-to-toe in the ring and in the air in a serious Match of the Year contender. Fenix and Pentagon Jr. definitely had the experience edge, but Flamita and Bandido's unique offence helped them throughout the bout. Dives went everywhere and Bandido threw Pentagon into a sea of chairs at ringside with a hurricanrana off of the bar (much to Legion Larry's chagrin)! Only one team could prevail in the end, that being the Lucha Brothers when Fenix pinned Flamita at 13:26 after a top-rope Spanish Fly!</p><p> </p><p>

In the true spirit of competition, all four competitors received a standing ovation after the bell. There was nothing to censor in the friendly handshakes that followed.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="width:625px;background-color:rgb(29, 29, 29);padding:15px;text-align:justify;"><div style="text-align:justify;font-variant:normal;font-size:26px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial;"><b><font color="#9a9a9a">CHUCK TAYLOR DEF. ANDREW EVERETT</font></b></div></div></p><p>

"LET'S GO CHUCK TAYLOR YOU'RE THE BEST WRESTLER IN THE WORLD YOU'RE IN WAY BETTER SHAPE THAN *censored*" was the attempted chant from the Reseda rassleheads as Chuck Taylor battled with Andrew Everett. Everett's flying style meshed well against Taylor's wrestling ability but even a grenade can take down a missile (in this case quite literally). With Everett's ass quite literally exploded from the explosion, Chuck Taylor planted the young hopeful with a ring-shaking Awful Waffle for the one-two-three at 11:11.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="width:625px;background-color:rgb(29, 29, 29);padding:15px;text-align:justify;"><div style="text-align:justify;font-variant:normal;font-size:26px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial;"><font color="#9a9a9a"><b>SAMI CALLIHAN DEF. ADAM COLE</b></font></div></div></p><p>

While the calendar turned to 2017, this old rivalry started a new chapter. Adam Cole and Sami Callihan were ready to prove, once and for all, just who the better man is in a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla ring. Cole and Callihan knew each other well and managed to avoid the other's biggest maneuvers. Adam Cole (baybay!) tried to outsmart "The Death Machine" on a few occasions, but Sami always came back with strong uncontrollable strikes that would make any man cry. In the end, after a long stretch of near falls, Sami Callihan was the one to get the last laugh when he planted Cole with a Lariat and followed it up with the Stretch Muffler at 16:44 to add another point in the W column.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="width:625px;background-color:rgb(29, 29, 29);padding:15px;text-align:justify;"><div style="text-align:justify;font-variant:normal;font-size:26px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial;"><font color="#9a9a9a"><b>JEFF COBB DEF. TIMOTHY THATCHER</b></font></div></div></p><p>

Two wrestling artists walked into the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla ring and only one walked out victorious. Both Timothy Thatcher and Jeff Cobb knew a win here would guarantee them a potential chance at the PWG World Championship in the future, but this was all about wrestling respect after the opening bell. The two competitors rolled around the ring and looked for the advantage but it was Thatcher who had the upper hand to start. As the match rolled on, Thatcher lost a kneebar that allowed Cobb to push through with his strength advantage. Cobb, the former Olympian, was the one to emerge victorious at 15:27 with the Tour of the Islands.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="width:625px;background-color:rgb(29, 29, 29);padding:15px;text-align:justify;"><div style="text-align:justify;font-variant:normal;font-size:26px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial;"><b><font color="#9a9a9a"><i>PWG TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS</i></p><p>

THE YOUNG BUCKS DEF. ROCKNES MONSTERS</font></b></div></div></p><p>

The Young Bucks' quest on showing the world that they are the best tag team in the world resulted in another PWG World Tag Team Championships Open Challenge. Tonight's opponents consisted of the RockNES Monsters in their PWG return! Johnny Yuma and Johnny Goodtime have not missed a step since their last go in Reseda, but Matt and Nick Jackson are on another level. The RockNES Monsters tried their best but fell short to the kings at 14:47 when Goodtime was planted with the Meltzer Driver.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="width:625px;background-color:rgb(29, 29, 29);padding:15px;text-align:justify;"><div style="text-align:justify;font-variant:normal;font-weight:normal;font-size:26px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial;"><b><font color="#9a9a9a"><i>WINNERS WILL CHALLENGE FOR THE PWG WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP</i></p><p>

RICOCHET & WILL OSPREAY DEF. CHRIS HERO & MARK HASKINS</font></b></div></div></p><p>

Chris Hero and Mark Haskins have issues. Ricochet and Will Ospreay have issues. In order to get an opportunity to challenge for Zack Sabre Jr.'s PWG World Championship, those issues needed to be placed to the side.</p><p> </p><p>

They were not.</p><p> </p><p>

You could have cut the tension in the air with a knife in the American Legion Hall as Hero and Haskins refused to communicate for the entirety of the match. Ospreay and Ricochet, on the other hand, talked a little bit but were always looking to one up each other. It was Ricochet and Hero who started the match, effectively telling the BritWres stars that they weren't needed in a PWG ring. The actual format of a tag team match was quickly thrown out the window as the match descended into chaos.</p><p> </p><p>

Everybody fought everywhere around Reseda, with all four competitors looking to be the one to win the match and show superiority. Mark Haskins nearly had the match won with a Sharpshooter on Ospreay at the fifteen minute mark but Chris Hero broke it up by grabbing the Battle of Los Angeles Winner's head and planting him with a Piledriver! Hero, ever the *censored*hole that he is, decided that he had enough with the match and soon returned to the back to leave Mark Haskins to fend for himself.</p><p> </p><p>

Haskins held on for as long as he could as Ricochet and Will Ospreay had a contest to see who could land the coolest aerial maneuvers. As the match came to a close, Ricochet ascended to the top turnbuckle and connected with his patented 630° at 21:16, but Ospreay threw him out of the ring right after and got the winning pinfall for himself!</p><p> </p><p>

Mark Haskins was screwed over. Chris Hero doesn't give a f~ck. Ricochet's pin was stolen. Will Ospreay is a thief.</p><p> </p><p>

As the dust settled, Reseda cleared out but the future was decided: Ricochet and Will Ospreay will have a chance to settle their differences in an eventual three-way with Zack Sabre Jr. for the PWG World Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

In a match that accurately fit the title of the show, both Andrew Everett and Dragon Lee took to the sky to amaze the Reseda faithful. The CMLL star wowed the audience and is quickly becoming loved in the Legion Hall but the "Apex of Agility" was out to prove his worth as a potential contender for the PWG World Championship. After a lengthy back and forth competition, it was Everett who walked away victorious following his Toe Touch Moonsault at 14:25.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="width:625px;background-color:rgb(79, 115, 163);padding:15px;text-align:justify;"><div style="text-align:justify;font-variant:normal;font-size:26px;line-height:normal;font-family:Arial;"><b><font color="#e5eef7">JEFF COBB DEF. PENTAGON JR.</font></b></div></div></p><p>

While the opening contest was very lucha based, this following contest featured heavy shots and some death-defying power struggles. Jeff Cobb has been impressive since his PWG debut late last year but Pentagon Jr. is no slouch in the ring and is always ready to show "Cero Miedo" and throw down with anybody who stands in his way. The action went back and forth in typical Guerrilla fashion but Cobb pulled through at 15:02 with the Tour of the Islands to earn the one-two-three.</p><p> </p><p>

If you asked these two to come fly with you, they obliged. The masked marvels of the squared circle flew all around the American Legion Post and dazzled with destructivity. A few ringside chairs took their final rest when both Fenix and Flamita launched themselves with Topes and Tornadoes through, literally, all three ropes. Nowhere was safe - not even the table shaped announce desk where Fenix connected with a Spanish Fly over top of the sitting Excalibur! Once the action returned to the ring, Flamita tried his damndest to put away his newfound rival, but "The Man of A Thousand Lives" finished things at 12:31 with the Fenix Driver.</p><p> </p><p>

Who do you turn to when you've lost your Best Friend and need backup in the fight against The Young Bucks? Family that is! Answering the PWG Tag Team Championships Open Challenge was none other than Chuck Taylor and his cousin (family records still under investigation) Brian Cage-Taylor! The Fightin' Taylor Boys were on the same page for the entire bout in this family feud! Chuck Taylor nearly had the match won with an Awful Waffle, but a Superkick courtesy of Nick Jackson's boot made sure he wouldn't be able to secure the winning pinfall. In the end, it was The Young Bucks who put down the Chuck Taylor challenge at 14:44 with the More Bang For Your Buck to successfully retain the PWG World Tag Team Championships.</p><p> </p><p>

His goal: become PWG World Champion and reign supreme over Guerrilla island once more. Matt Riddle, however, proved that he's here to stay and nearly won the contest on a few occasions. Riddle and Hero beat the ever living crap out of each other in what seemed less like Hero/Riddle and more like Hero/Kingston! Riddle connected with his own Piledriver, but Hero stood right back up and planted Riddle with two of his own and finished the match with a Rolling Elbow at 17:57 to prove his dominance!</p><p> </p><p>

ZACK SABRE JR. DEF. WILL OSPREAY & RICOCHET</font></b></div></div></p><p>

While it may only be February, we have a definitive Match of the Year contender on our hands. Zack Sabre Jr. came into this bout with the sole goal of continuing his dominant reign as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Champion - he faced the tough threat of both Ricochet and Will Ospreay, whose flying abilities counteracted Zack's penchant for submission grappling. Ricochet and Ospreay's recent problems came back and bit them both on their rears during the match, as they became a little too focused on showing up one another instead of going for a collection of pinfalls. When either man nearly had the match won, the other was there to break it up. "The Technical Wizard" took full advantage of his opponents' hatred for one another and used it to clutch the victory at 25:33. Following a Will Ospreay 630 onto a downed Ricochet, Zack swept in and forced Will to submit to the Jim Breaks Armbar to keep the title firmly around the waist of the man from the Isle of Sheppey!</div></p><p>

Just want to say as a regular PWG-attendee that this is by far the best PWG diary I've read on here. Everything about it is perfect (putting my personal feelings about Haskins aside <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) But keep it up man, I go in and out of the forum so I won't always be here for predictions and stuff but man this is awesome

<strong>Comments</strong> - So every pick here is about is based on building for PWG's future. RingKampf, SPPT, Lee, Riddle, Osprey, Scrull all need wins to build up and they can be huge for you long term if handled right. Dunne on the other hand cant be rushed and ZSjr is the best option at the top of the card. The guys taking the losses can afford too lose at this point to start off serious feuds with their opponents.</p>
