Shane McMahon's WCW 2001

Recommended Posts

The name at the bottom of the contract does say McMahon however it says Shane McMahon

The wrestling world is buzzing over the purchase of WCW by none of than Shane Mcmahon. No one in WCW or any other companies know who's staying or going. All that is confirmed up to this point, Shane is putting his own money to remove all debt from WCW and purchase completely from Ted Turner. The legal situations with the contracts of WCW superstars are now all taken care of and are able to perform as of Monday. Shane McMahon has said he will take some time to mull over the roster and potential options going forward, he is planning on first Nitro to be in January. Shane has announced all current champions will remain in tact.

WCW Champion: Scott Steiner

WCW United States Champion: Hugh Morris

WCW Tag Team Champions: The Insiders (DDP and Kevin Nash)

WCW Cruiserweight Title: Chavo Guerrero

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Vince McMahon is stunned with the news of what Shane did and that this is not a WWE gimmick to purchase WCW Shane has done this on his own to get out of his dads shadow. More news and updates to follow as we get them.

A word from the booker:

I know a lot of people have tried this exact dynasty and some have created great dynasties some not so much. I'm just going to hopefully add some cool things that others haven't explored yet. Either way I love booking especially in the 2001 time frame, so hopefully anyone who reads it enjoys it if not cool.
