I hope theheel noticed that "George South" Wesley Browning got a victory at RMW Live #10!

I did notice the major coat tail riding by my main man Wesley Browning. Maybe a new picture for him will spring him to great things like it did for Rush, Jen, Riley, Puder and the others. Funny you have him pegged like Perfect and I was envisioning Double A

<p>I leaned back in my chair. My hand clutching the mug of cocoa. It had been a whirlwind few months. An absolute whirlwind. Time flies when you are having fun, isn’t that what they say? I took a drink. November we crowned new champions. Logan defeated Primus -- which allowed Primus to head to training camp for his fight. I don’t know what would make a guy with all the wrestling skills in the world also want to fight in mixed martial arts, but that was what he wanted to do so I wasn’t going to stand in the way. He’d be back in a few months, so while he was gone it allowed us to do some other things.</p><p> </p><p> I switched the tag titles in December too. Riley and KC had done a great job with the belts. Really raised them onto the national platform. Websites were talking about it. Clips were all over YouTube -- but with KC consistently getting tours of PGHW, I wasn’t sure how much longer I could count on him being available. The Ring Generals were available. They were skilled. They had the pedigree and history and it opened up some new programs.</p><p> </p><p> Christmas Chaos had been our best show ever. Our most successful show to date. Our last several shows were all sellouts. 500 people filed into the Oxford Arena to see our gladiators do combat. While drinking my cocoa, I pulled up TotalExtremeWrestling.com to see the year end awards and check the status of the wrestling world.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">2018 Year End Awards</span></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Wrestler of the Year </strong>-- Nicky Champion [sOTBW]</p><p> <strong>Company of the Year</strong> - PGHW</p><p> <strong>Tag Team of the Year</strong> - Red Scourge (Blood Raven & Pirata Malvado) [sOTBW]</p><p> <strong>Match of the Year</strong> - Wolf Hawkins versus Steve Frehely [uSPW]</p><p> <strong>Show of the Year</strong> - SOTBW Feliz Navidad</p><p> <strong>Young Wrestler of the Year </strong>- Jacqueleen Morel [NOTBW]</p><p> <strong>Veteran Wrestler of the Year</strong> - El Demonio [sOTBW]</p><p> <strong>Female Wrestler of the Year </strong>- Alicia Strong [NOTBW]</p><p> <strong>Most Improved Company</strong> - Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods</p><p> <strong>Independent Wrestler of the Year </strong>- Devious Dr. Fang</p><p> <strong>Manager of the Year </strong>- Hannah Potter [sWF]</p><p> <strong>Announcer of the Year</strong> - Duane Fry [sWF]</p><p> <strong>Color Commentator of the Year</strong> - Armando Caballero [sOTBW]</p><p> <strong>Referee of the Year </strong>- Shihei Nagano [PGHW]</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I wanted to see what they were saying about our 2018, so I checked out their profile on my own company.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">2018 Top Five’s for RMW</span></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Top Five Shows</strong></p><p> 1. Jakob Yoder had lost the RIPW USA Championship to former RMW grappler, Robin DaLay -- so that’s two of our guys to hold gold there since leaving us. Jakob has also won the RIPW Tag Team Championships with a guy from the SWF school I didn’t know. That was nice to see. The big man was turning into a star for them. I hated not having him -- but we were still developing nicely.</p><p> </p><p> 2018 had been a great year for us. We put on twenty-five shows. Forty-nine shows so far. I was eyeing our Third Anniversary for our 50th. We were not going to hold a RMW Live show for January just to make sure the Third Anniversary was show #50. I was excited. Beyond excited. I would finalize the card later, but we were about to turn the corner. We were so close to being listed as Regional -- I was going to bring out all of the stops to make sure we got to regional after show fifty.</p>

<p>Sgt. Bison</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="0kGgpyk.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0kGgpyk.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><span style="font-size:14px;">

Sgt. Bison</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Bison, real name Lance Lawler, grew up in a military family. They used to be called military brats, but he always hated that term. He wasn’t a brat. His dad was in the infantry. Got deployed. His father did three tours of Afghanistan. His grandfather served in ‘Nam. His great-grandfather served in World War II. Lance had wanted to serve too. That had been his whole plan. Get through high school and then enlist. Real life had other news for him. Lance was a diabetic. A type I diabetic. Had it his whole life. It disqualified him from military service. They wouldn’t let him enlist. It wasn’t safe. Active duty and a body’s inability to produce and regulate insulin and need for strict, regular low-carbohydrate meals do not mix for a group that live off of MRE’s that are carb-heavy, in extreme temperatures, and often having to move under extreme pressure. Lance understood when he was diagnosed when he was fourteen. He understood that the military wasn’t going to be for him. Instead, he had to turn to his other love. He had discovered wrestling when he discovered TCW and The New Wave. Two armed forces guys out there throwing punches and taking big bumps. As he got older, he discovered tapes of them in DAVE. Of wars they had had with the Peak Brothers, the Animalz, The New Jersey Devils. The buckets of blood they had bled. They were his favorites. He saw himself in them.</p><p> </p><p>

Thus, he created the Sgt. Bison character. Using his knowledge of the military, his love of brawling and bruising. He created the Capital Punishment -- a slingshot brainbuster that he could hit on anyone. He had enrolled in the Rocky Mountain School of Wrestling -- he had seen the ads online and made the long drive from the swamps of Louisiana where his father was currently stationed. He took his training seriously. He watched what he ate. He kept up with his insulin. He worked out. He listened to his coaches -- Mr. Oxford, Mr. Bryant, and Riley. He listened closely. He asked good questions. He would never get to serve his country like his family before him -- but he could be a good soldier in a different army. He was going to be all he could be. He wasn’t Lance Lawler. He was Sergeant Bison.</p>

<p>I sat in my office chair and looked at the man across from me. I had known him for quite some time. We had battled each other in the late 90’s for the HGC Tag Team titles. Before it was TCW. He had been around. He had broken his body in Japan and had returned to the United States for one last run, one last attempt to make big money before his body finally gave out on him. TCW sent him packing almost two years ago. They didn’t think his body could do it anymore and no one had picked him up. How is that possible? Bryan had such a good mind. Such a good understanding. He had been TCW World Heavyweight Champion. TCW International Champion. TCW World Tag Team. Had been a superstar in SWF before that. Had cut his teeth in Japan. Had earned it. Now he was sitting across from me in my office.</p><p> </p><p> “How you feeling, Bryan?” I asked him. I was honestly concerned about him. I had worked in Japan. For Golden Canvas when it was still puroresu and wasn’t trying to be modern. I knew the toll my body paid -- and Bryan was a much more physical worker.</p><p> </p><p> He grinned the Vessey grin. The same grin Larry had. The same grin Cam had. “I’m still kicking. Still got a few miles left in the tank. Not as many as I’d like, but I’ve got some.”</p><p> </p><p> “That’s great man. I’m glad you’re feeling okay. You going to go work with Larry?” I asked.</p><p> </p><p> “Maybe eventually. Not yet. He doesn’t need me as a worker. I’m not ready to be behind the curtains yet. Problem is, there’s nowhere for me to work. TCW cut me loose, so obviously they don’t want me. I won’t go work for Eisen again. I have no interest in Packer and he has no interest in me. I can’t physically do Japan any more. I was thinking… How about I come here?”</p><p> </p><p> I looked at him. Eyes wide. Bryan was a star. His name value alone…. But, why? “Why?”</p><p> </p><p> He shrugged. “You’re doing it right. Old school, hard hitting action. You’ve got my nephew here. I taught him. I’d kind of like to work alongside him before I hang it up.”</p><p> </p><p> I looked at him again. “You sure? I can’t pay you all that much.”</p><p> </p><p> “I’m rich.” Bryan said with a grin. “I’m not interested in money. I want to do something good for the business before I hang it up. Let me do it here. Let me do it for you.”</p><p> </p><p> I took a deep breath. This could work. At least for the short term. Bryan Vessey in Rocky Mountain Wrestling? Why the hell not.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:14px;">Rocky Mountain Wrestling Presents: The Third Anniversary</span></p><p> The 50th Show</p><p> Saturday, Week 4, January, 2019</p><p> Live from the Oxford Arena, Special Bell Time of 7:00 PM</p><p> Also Aired On Demand on the Rocky Mountain Sports Network</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Championship</span></p><p> Sixty Minute Time Limit</p><p> “The Living Legend” Bryan Vessey w/ Lisa Bowen versus “Glorious” Logan Diaz ©</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Grudge Match</span></p><p> Eight Man Tag</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> American Demolition, Riley McManus, and KC Glenn versus Bowen Services [Valentine, Vessey, Waldorf, and Statler] w/ Lisa Bowen</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Special Attraction</strong></p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> “Bad, Bad” Lenny Brown versus “The Straight Shooter” Joel Bryant</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Grudge Match</strong></p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> The Griffins versus The Devil’s Rejects [Holly and Anderson]</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Match</strong></p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">$1000 To Winner</span></p><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"> Winner Also Gets Future Title Shot of their choice</span></p><p> 30-Man Rumble</p><p> Featuring: Acid, Acid II, American Elemental II, Blue Tiger, Brett Dewes, Charger Siaki, Clyde Puder, Ekuma, Elemental IV, Franklin Rush, Frantic Ali, Hugh Ancrie, Ian Identity, James Diaz, Juan Soler, King Malietoa, Leonard Vedder, Louis Tully, Marcel LeFleur, Princeton Pryce, Ray Badell, Sgt. And we are officially 50 shows in! This is a major milestone. We've completed three full years (from first show to this show). 50 show in that time period. My how times have changed from the days of Jebediah and Shady K to now. I love seeing the evolution of the company, the evolution of what we are presenting.

There will be a bit of a lull between shows as I write some narratives, work on some multiplayer things for the multiplayer diary and do some personal life stuff. The thread will still be active -- because I have at least four narratives that I want to get done before the next show card gets posted. Now, when I say lull, that probably only means a few days, but I've been producing at a steady pace so far.

To those of you who have been with me since the beginning, thank you for sticking 'round. For those who found this diary a little bit later on, thanks for finding us. I hope that I have been able to continue to entertain you both with the shows and the narrative pieces that I have constructed. 2018 was our best year in business. I have high hopes for 2019. I'm predicting we will lose several top stars and by the end the of the year we will have seen some major changes.

Onward and upward from here!

<p>She sat on the carpeted living room of her one bedroom apartment. Bare legs were tucked under her body. Her almond-colored eyes were wet and sad. She looked at the couch where KC sat. His hair was disheveled from the gym. His face sullen.</p><p> </p><p>

“I’m sorry.” He said. His voice meant it. His eyes meant it. He meant it. “The offer is too good to pass up. Twenty-eight thousand dollars a month. Fully guaranteed. I can’t pass that up.”</p><p> </p><p>

“But it’s in Japan. It’s six thousand miles away.” Her voice was sad. Carried the weight of disappointment in it.</p><p> </p><p>

“I know. But -- I can’t not go. I can’t pass this up.” </p><p> </p><p>

“I know. But… What about us?” She asked. She meant it. Sure, it’d only been less than a year -- though it was closing in. Ten months of going steady. Eleven really, if you count March -- which she did but he didn’t. He counted from the Oxford Invitational to now. But she didn’t. She counted from the first date. </p><p> </p><p>

“I know there is a lot of distance… But I’ll have some time off from time to time. You can come out to see me too. We can make it work. You could… You could move with me?” He offered. It wasn’t the best idea. They had never lived together. To live together in a foreign country where only he spoke the native language? That could be dangerous.</p><p> </p><p>

“I can’t move to Japan.” Marjorie said. “I don’t know Japanese. I’ve got a job here. I like it here. This is my home. My mom is here. My siblings. My dad. Rocky Mountain Wrestling is as much my vision from a production standpoint as it is his. I can’t abandon it. There’s no job for me there. No job doing what I’m doing now.” She was adamant.</p><p> </p><p>

“Then we do the long distance until we figure out what we want to do. I know it’s going to be hard. But we can do it.”</p><p> </p><p>

She shook her head. “No.” She took a deep breath. “I can’t do that distance. I can’t. Not just the miles, but the time difference. We’d never speak or never sleep. It was fine for the tours. I can’t do it with you living there full time. I just can’t.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Marj. Don’t…” He began to plead but she shook her head again.</p><p> </p><p>

“I can’t, Kevin. I love you. I do. With all of my heart. I’ve loved you for -- well, longer than I was willing to admit. Well longer than I told you. But I can’t do six thousand miles and the hours of time difference. I just can’t do it.” She swallowed hard. She didn’t want to cry. Not right now. She would later. In bed, with her pillow. Breaking up wasn’t easy. Breaking up with someone you loved was even harder. Breaking up because of this… Well this was something she had not prepared for.</p><p> </p><p>

KC nodded. He understood. This was the life he had chose. He could have chose to stay in Rocky Mountain Wrestling. He wanted to be a star though. He wanted to be known world-wide. He had ambition and goals. He didn’t get into wrestling to work the independents and grind out a living. He wanted to be the best wrestler in the world. He was being offered more money than he ever thought possible. The kind of money he used to lay in bed and dream about. He loved Marjorie. He did. He knew he was being selfish. He couldn’t have it all. That wasn’t fair. Or realistic. But he wanted it all. “Please.” He squeaked out. Hoping beyond hope.</p><p> </p><p>

Marjorie heard his please. Saw the look on his face and it broke her. The tears fell. The tears she wanted to hide. The tears that would only make this harder. Her tears made his own fall. He wouldn’t admit to his friends that he cried. When he told them this story, he will have been stoic. Taken it like a champ. Right on the chin. But here in her apartment -- with no one but them to bear witness he cried. </p><p> </p><p>

Marjorie shook her head. Brown locks tossing about. “No. I can’t. I’m sorry… But… It’s over.”</p><p> </p><p>

The words came out of her heavy and almost choked out in her throat. KC ran his fingers through his hairs and tried to blink back the tears, but every time he blinked it just caused more tears to fall. He nodded that he understood. He did understand. “Okay...I’m sorry Marjorie. I love you. I do.”</p><p> </p><p>

She turned away from him. “Just.. Please. Go.” Each word was hard for her to say. Hard for her to get out. He did leave. He walked out and shut the door behind him and she cried on the floor of her apartment. Cried until she fell asleep on the floor. Sure, KC Glenn was leaving Rocky Mountain Wrestling and that sucked for her dad. But she loved him and now he was heading six thousand miles away -- and that was heartbreaking for her.</p>
