The Climb [RMW, CVerse]

<p>Couldn't help but smile with John Silver and Ryan Steel. Ryan's render looks original, but I'm guessing Silver's is a Zeus Maximillion one or something?</p><p> </p><p>

Also, that Fat Cats promo about declaring war on the Stone family makes me thing the big inbound star you teased might be "The 24 hour party animal" Edd Stone.</p><p> </p><p>

I like to think of Slick as being in kind of an Axl Rotten situation, solid brawler who just found himself in a small hardcore promotion and has to play the part.</p><p> </p><p>

Main Event: <strong>The Mission</strong> vs. Spade & Campbell w/ Bowen</p><p>

<em>If Ranger's back, the Mission needs to build some momentum. This can also set up singles matches for Ash</em></p><p>

No DQ, North American Tag Team Championship: <strong>Gangsta Nation</strong> w/ Brother G vs. The Keith Brothers ©</p><p>

<em>No DQ favors the hardcore veterans, plus interference from G and maybe Slick. Gangsta Nation have been six man champions, now Slick won singles gold, time to complete the collection</em></p><p>

United States Championship: "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith vs. <strong>Cali Slick</strong> © w/ Brother G</p><p>

<em>Slick ain't losing his first defense. This will be a hard hitting contest</em></p><p>

North American Women's Championship: Tiffany Jade vs. <strong>Jaime Quine</strong> ©</p><p>

<em>I like Jade, but she's probably a level below Quine</em></p><p>

Singles Match: <strong>Ross Henry</strong> vs. Cameron Vessey</p><p>

<em>Henry's back and losing this would kill his momentum</em></p><p>

Singles Match: <strong>Raymond Diaz</strong> vs. Tadiyuki Kikkawa</p><p>

<em>Biased, because I hate Kikkawa, but Diaz is also who US fans want to see here win</em></p><p>

Six Man Tag Match: Homegrown & Danny Puder vs. <strong>The Fallen</strong></p><p>

<em>Torment needs to look legit. If he can learn to wrestle, he could be a great replacement for Hell's Bouncer/Evil Dead</em></p><p>

Tag Team Match: <strong>The Georgia Bulldogs</strong> vs. The Devil's Rejects</p><p>

<em>Rejects won the last match</em></p><p>

Tag Team Match: The Stones vs. <strong>The Fat Cats</strong></p><p>

<em>Fat Cats pin the declining Dan Stone Jr, then attempt a post match beatdown but Edd Stone debuts for the save. You read it first here, folks!</em></p>

<p>Awesome stuff going on CWL! The Fat Cats and Stone family is epic, same with Spencer and Ash teaming up! Love all the guys you featured in TGL especially Precious Metal who may be the coolest sounding team ever lol. </p><p> </p><p>

Quick Picks</p><p>

Main Event: The Mission vs. <strong>Spade & Campbell w/ Bowen</strong></p><p>

Definitely see some kind of shenanigans to this ending.</p><p>

No DQ, North American Tag Team Championship: Gangsta Nation w/ Brother G vs. <strong>The Keith Brothers ©</strong></p><p>

I just don't think Gangsta Nation is good enough to hold the tag team titles in such a stacked division, maybe as transitional champs though</p><p>

United States Championship: "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith vs. <strong>Cali Slick © w/ Brother G</strong></p><p>

I don't see Cali Slick losing it so quickly, maybe Brother G helps him keep the title a little longer.</p><p>

North American Women's Championship: Tiffany Jade vs. <strong>Jaime Quine ©</strong></p><p>

New champ so I don't see her losing it any time soon. Plus she is really good and will put on great matches with a lot of people</p><p>

Singles Match: Ross Henry vs. <strong>Cameron Vessey</strong></p><p>

While both kind of need the win, I really think Cameron will cheat to victory to extend the feud longer and protect Ross from a clean loss.</p><p>

Singles Match: <strong>Raymond Diaz</strong> vs. Tadiyuki Kikkawa</p><p>

The only reason I think Raymond will win is because he has pop in the USA, and I am not sure Tadiyuki has any or much. </p><p>

Six Man Tag Match: Homegrown & Danny Puder vs. <strong>The Fallen</strong></p><p>

Fresh feud and the Fallen will win the first matchup.</p><p>

Tag Team Match: The Georgia Bulldogs vs. <strong>The Devil's rejects</strong></p><p>

They are my favorite so I can't vote against them, even though my boy KC is on the other team.</p><p>

Tag Team Match: <strong>The Stones</strong> vs. The Fat Cats</p><p>

The Stones will win the match but the Fat Cats will get the last laugh after the match</p>

I like the development overview being from Joel's POV. Makes sense and gives some depth to Joel, don't want to forget about him! Some potentially good guys you looked at.

Main Event: The Mission vs. Spade & Campbell w/ Bowen

Going with the experienced tag team

No DQ, North American Tag Team Championship: Gangsta Nation w/ Brother G vs. The Keith Brothers ©

The style favors the challengers, but the champs are just better

United States Championship: "Bulldozer" Brandon Smith vs. Cali Slick © w/ Brother G

Did not see, think or predict that Cali Slick would defeat Stone. Now that he has I don’t see a long reign Smith is probably on decline now so he gets a win over a name

North American Women's Championship: Tiffany Jade vs. Jaime Quine ©

Been in Jamie’s corner since she arrived, no reason to change that now

Singles Match: Ross Henry vs. Cameron Vessey

Could be an interesting feud, but the money match sooner or later is Spade vs Ross

Singles Match: Raymond Diaz vs. Tadiyuki Kikkawa

No one is picking the Japanese legend, so I’ll go against the grain

Six Man Tag Match: Homegrown & Danny Puder vs. The Fallen

Just haven’t seen enough out of Danny Puder to go with them, plus the Fallen is back to 3 monster members

Tag Team Match: The Georgia Bulldogs vs. The Devil's rejects

Enough playing for Riley and KC, they win the series

Tag Team Match: The Stones vs. The Fat Cats

Sadly Dad is the weak link and takes the loss.

Once again we are live at the historic Lowe Ballroom and I am joined in the broadcast booth by my broadcast partners, the legendary Ricky Dale Johnson and the Marshall, Duke Hazard! Last month, Ash Campbell surprised the wrestling world when he showed up and helped Spencer Spade regain the North American Heavyweight Championship. This has led to a major tag team main event when The Mission team up to do battle with Spencer Spade and Ash Campbell. Ross Henry makes his return to in ring action to do battle with Cameron Vessey and so much more. This should be a great night.</p><p> </p><p> RDJ: I couldn’t sleep last night I was so excited for this event. Grudge matches. Tag Team battles. And the legendary Tadiyuki Kikkawa makes his first appearance in the United States in his legendary career to do battle with the equally legendary Raymond Diaz. This is a pureuso super fan’s dream.</p><p> </p><p> MR: I never took you for a pureuso super fan.</p><p> </p><p> RDJ: You kidding me? It’s a little known fact that I love Japanese professional wrestling. I was never able to do a big tour in Japan in my prime, but I wanted to. I wanted to be one of those gaijin that was legendary over there -- but I always had full time, demanding jobs in the States, but I’ve seen ever Elite Series in history and I almost had a match with Tadiyuki Kikkawa back when he was running INSPIRE -- but the TCW management and INSPIRE could not agree on financial terms.</p><p> </p><p> MR: I’ve never heard that story before.</p><p> </p><p> DH: Save the gossip for tea, ladies. We’re here to see some fights! I know I can’t wait for the action to get started.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="GNkzKok.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GNkzKok.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Opening Match</p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> <img alt="51GXQpi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/51GXQpi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="F4wLsLn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/F4wLsLn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XWgjkPi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XWgjkPi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cQq0hR1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cQq0hR1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="poFp2Ka.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/poFp2Ka.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Dan & David Stone versus The Fat Cats</p><p> </p><p> For the first time ever, father Dan and son David were teaming up. Their opponents? Former World Tag Team Champions, The Fat Cats. David did most of the work for his team in this match up. His father is forty-nine years old and has wrestled one match and the last near decade -- and that was last month against him. Despite being in great shape, forty-nine is still forty-nine and one match in a near decade is one match in a near decade.</p><p> </p><p> It was a solid match, The Fat Cats worked hard to make Dan Stone Jr. look good on his bursts in the ring. Dan managed to hit Monty Trescarde with a German Suplex and kept the bridge for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> Dan Stone Jr and David Stone defeated The Fat Cats in 9:16 when Dan Stone Jr defeated Monty Trescarde by pinfall.</p><p> </p><p> Dan Stone Jr was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. </p><p> <img alt="ZSlyKQ6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZSlyKQ6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><img alt="51GXQpi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/51GXQpi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="F4wLsLn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/F4wLsLn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XWgjkPi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XWgjkPi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cQq0hR1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cQq0hR1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="poFp2Ka.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/poFp2Ka.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="6BX3yrz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6BX3yrz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> Father and son hug in the ring. It was a hard hitting, but ultimately underwhelming contest. At forty-nine, Kikkawa is a shell of the dominant heavyweight wrestler he was for three decades. He still hit hard, but he did possess the explosive power that had made him the most revered heavyweight the world over. Raymond, while not nearly as far into decline as Kikkawa -- Diaz has been virtually indestructible his whole career -- is still forty-five and and a twenty-seven year pro with most of that time coming in Japan. After almost eleven minutes of slow, physical action, Raymond hit a Ray Gun on Tadiyuki Kikkawa and got the pinfall victory.</p><p> </p><p> Raymond Diaz defeated Tadiyuki Kikkawa in 10:46 by pinfall with a Ray Gun.</p><p> <img alt="8x5Bau7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8x5Bau7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="GNkzKok.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GNkzKok.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> <img alt="h4VCDrQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/h4VCDrQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="HXLpdxw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HXLpdxw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XWgjkPi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XWgjkPi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ZPSijPY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZPSijPY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ZjCgexS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZjCgexS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Pmhhg2P.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Pmhhg2P.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="LC8rqZh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LC8rqZh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Georgia Bulldogs versus The Devil’s Rejects w/ February Malaise</p><p> </p><p> The sequel to last month’s battle. The two teams put on another sensational match up. Another pure Southern-style tag team match. KC again took a fantastic beating from the Rejects, who kept him trapped in their half of the ring. Punishing strikes, a couple of big backbreakers and a double spinebuster that almost got a three count. KC was able to contort his face to show the agony. KC made the big tag to Riley who came in and cleaned house. The crowd came alive as the Cornerstone took the offense to Johnny and Keith. Johnny and Keith moved around the ring for Riley like they were junior heavyweights -- which was extra impressive from the big superheavyweight Keith Holly. Riley made a tag to KC and then dumped Keith Holly out of the ring with a big clothesline that took both out. KC Glenn delivered a picture-perfect Tune Up the Sunshine Band that landed flush on the jaw of Johnny Anderson. KC collapsed on Johnny Anderson.</p><p> </p><p> IGeorgia Bulldogs defeated The Devil's Rejects in 13:52 when KC Glenn defeated Johnny Anderson by pinfall with a Tune Up The Sunshine Band.</p><p> <img alt="LTiTJNd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LTiTJNd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="GNkzKok.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GNkzKok.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Singles Match</p><p> Twenty Minute Time Limit</p><p> <img alt="YVV6cka.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YVV6cka.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="i3MJlMR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/i3MJlMR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XWgjkPi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XWgjkPi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="M3O8EQn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M3O8EQn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Pmhhg2P.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Pmhhg2P.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="AfVjMF4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AfVjMF4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> “Bulldozer” Brandon Smith versus Cali Slick © w/ Brother G</p><p> </p><p> This was an ultra physical match up. The master of American Strong Style, “Bulldozer” Brandon Smith against Brother G’s Crown Jewel, Cali Slick. They beat the holy hell out of one another. Two big men who would not back down from one another. Two men who just wanted to inflict punishment. Brandon Smith hit a headbut on Cali Slick that looked like it knocked both men loopy. Cali Slick hit a right hand on Brandon Smith that might have broken his own hand. Brandon Smith hit the Backdrop Driver but Cali Slick barely managed to kick out before three. Brandon Smith pulled up Cali Slick. Cali, in full view of the referee, drove his foot mule kick style into the groin of Brandon Smith. This caused an immediate disqualification. Cali than threw several right hands at Brandon’s face before backing off and grabbing his United States Championship.</p><p> </p><p> Bulldozer Brandon Smith defeated Cali Slick in 11:40 when Cali Slick intentionally got disqualified.</p><p> <img alt="LTiTJNd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LTiTJNd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="GNkzKok.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GNkzKok.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Tag Team Match</p><p> Thirty Minute Time Limit</p><p> No Disqualification</p><p> <img alt="WWW9kJ7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WWW9kJ7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="d9BATji.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/d9BATji.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="DBD7zMH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DBD7zMH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Pmhhg2P.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Pmhhg2P.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="AfVjMF4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AfVjMF4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XWgjkPi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XWgjkPi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="LqKqiEK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LqKqiEK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="j3Mq0eH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/j3Mq0eH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Gangsta Nation w/ Brother G versus The Keith Brothers ©</p><p> </p><p> The second championship match for Brother G’s goons -- Cali Slick managed to hold on to the United States Championship and now Ali and Muvva were going for the Tag Team Championship. This was another very physical match that really electrified the crowd. The Keith Brothers continued to show the excellent tag team work that comes with being twins and Ali and Muvva showed their penchant for violence and its ability to blend effortlessly into the physical, old-school product of CWL. Ali came out with a steel garbage can loaded with weapons that they used to perfection. Kendo Sticks, a mop, the garbage can itself. It was something different for the crowd and they ate it up. Muvva hit a big Tornado DDT off the ring apron onto the trash can on the ring apron. In the ring, Sayeed Ali hit Matthew with a kendo stick in the abdomen and then hit him with a kendo-stick assisted G.B.H. Driver.</p><p> </p><p> Hustle Muvva and Sayeed Ali defeated The Keith Brothers in a No Disqualification match in 14:38 when Sayeed Ali defeated Matthew Keith by pinfall with a G.B.H. Driver. This was a very good match, the crowd was very excited to see Ross Henry and Cameron Vessey continued to show why he might be the backbone of the CWL roster -- another sensational performance from him in a match that allowed Ross Henry to shine -- but also look vulnerable as a guy coming back from injury. Vessey went after the previously injured arm and Henry sold it beautiful. After fifteen minutes, Ross hit the Earthquake Powerslam for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> Ross Henry defeated Cameron Vessey in 15:19 by pinfall with an Earthquake Powerslam.</p><p> <img alt="e5wmXmn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/e5wmXmn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="45989" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="goVDjy6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/goVDjy6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XWgjkPi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XWgjkPi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="mgsmc0P.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mgsmc0P.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="o3PEmtO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/o3PEmtO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> Just as Ross Henry is standing up from the Earthquake Powerslam, The Headhunter, Jeffery Aroma hits the ring and blindsides him Aroma pummels Henry with several heavy strikes. Ranger, in particular, was on a mission. I sat in my office on Monday morning. It was the beginning of July. We had just held our seventh annual Summer Spectacular to rave reviews -- it really delivered across the board. The only sub-standard match was the legends match between Kikkawa and Diaz -- but still fans forgave that because Kikkawa was almost fifty and they knew he didn’t have what he had before. Dan worked his second of three matches for us. When he asked me if I could use him, I told him I didn’t just want a one off, but could he work an angle to help get some guys over and he agreed. He’d work through Independence and then he’d go back into retirement. While he wasn’t the wrestler he once was, the guys really enjoyed being around him. He was a great teacher in the locker room, plus with him here he was helping Sean and Victoria work through the marital problems that caused them to separate but never divorce. Maybe there was hope for them to work on those problems and reconcile?</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Y2vhQew.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y2vhQew.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="pgAICqc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pgAICqc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Across the desk from me, Scott and William sat anxiously. They weren’t used to getting called into my office. I wasn’t used to having them in my office. I look at them and tried to smile.</p><p> </p><p>

“Thank you guys for coming in today.” I said as genuine as I could. </p><p> </p><p>

“Of course.” Scott said in his heavy Texas drawl. “What’s up?”</p><p> </p><p>

I glanced down at the papers in front of me and then back at them. “I’m letting you go” I said straightforward.</p><p> </p><p>

“You’re what?” Scott said slacked-jawed.</p><p> </p><p>

I nodded my head for emphasis. “I’m letting you guys go.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Why?” William asked in that low Tennessee blues voice. “We’ve been good employees. Model employees even.”</p><p> </p><p>

“You have.” I said -- and I meant it. They had been good employees. For almost a year and a half they had worked for me. They’d been consistent, put on good matches, not created any problems in the locker room. “But I have to make some changes. I’ve got guys down in Texas that I want to bring up and I have to create room on the roster.”</p><p> </p><p>

“So we’re getting cut to let unproven talent come up.” Scott said derisively. </p><p> </p><p>

“You’re getting cut to create space. You’re not figured in to the tag title picture. You’re not figured in to any major storylines and I don’t want to have you on TV and beat you into powder. If I let you guys go, you can get work someplace else and not have your name value ruined.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Whatever. Do we need to sign something.” Scott said. William just look stunned. I felt bad for them, I did. I did not like cutting people. It wasn’t easy. You were telling people that they were losing a steady paycheck, but this was a business. Sometimes it had to be done. </p><p> </p><p>

“Yes.” I said as I slid the release papers across the table to them. Scott took the pen on the desk and signed it immediately. He got up and walked out. He was pissed. I understood. I couldn’t hold it against him. William sat there for a long moment.</p><p> </p><p>

“I think you’re making a bad decision.” He said in a low voice.</p><p> </p><p>

“I know you do. But, it’s my decision to make.”</p><p> </p><p>

He nodded. He was resigned to his fate. He signed the paper and left.</p>

<p><strong>Author's Note</strong>: Dan Stone III is a Dan Stone Sr. regen that I made the narrative decision to make another member of the Stone Family. In my eyes, the Stone Family should keep pumping out people into the wrestling business and it fit to have the Dan Stone Sr. regen become Dan Stone III! </p><p> </p><p>

Also! What are your thoughts on Summer Spectacular? The arrival of DSIII? The return of Primus Allen? Let me know!</p>

“Can I get some f*****g momentum?”

6BX3yrz.jpg

I looked up from my computer screen to see Paul Huntingdon standing in my office.

“Come again?” I asked.

“Can I get some damn momentum? I’m one of the most over guys on the roster. I’ve wrestled for the Eisens. I’ve wrestled for South of the Border -- in feautred roles for both. I’ve got name value -- and you keep jobbing me.” Paul rambled on. He was clearly not happy with how he had been used recently.

“Paul. You’ve been in featured programs.”

“That we keep losing.”

“But that’s what the business requires.” I said. I’ve never understood why people get so upset. Our business is a work. Sometimes you’ve got to lose. Paul’s character is as a rich, chickenshit heel. He’s not supposed to win. The Fallen are supposed to rarely lose. They’re big monster heels. He’s the opposite. He’s supposed to lose and then come out and brag about himself anyway. That was his *role*.

“That’s garbage and you know it.” Paul said. “I don’t mind losing -- I really don’t, but I need to win more to keep my damn heat. I can’t just lose, lose, lose and still be a top guy -- and I’m here to be a top guy.” Paul let into me. I didn’t normally let talent talk to me like this.

“Paul, calm down.”

“No. Robert, I don’t *need* to be here. I could get work with Allen or Eric. Hell, Pee-Wee’d love to have me too, I’m sure. I’m here because you told me you could use me. So either use me well or let me go.”

I looked at Paul and I’m sure my look was an incredulously one. “Excuse me?”

“You heard me.” Paul said. “Book me better or let me go work some place that will. I’m not here to be a job guy. I’m not here to put over the next generation. I’m here because you told me I was going to be a top guy. I got to work with Ross… Jobbed. Homegrown, jobbed. We’ve done nothing but job to them too. If you’ve got no plans for me other than being a guy who puts your faces over -- then let me go somewhere that wants to use me like I want to be used.”

I was taken aback. He was, essentially, putting me between a rock and a hard place. He was one of my more popular talents and while I didn’t look at him as a main event champion or as my top heel -- Bowen Services was my top heel group and they were going to continue in that role -- he was valuable. I ran my hands through my hair. “Paul. Be reasonable.”

“I am being reasonable. You know what your choices are.” Paul said before he turned and left and I sat there like he had just smacked me in the face. I had decisions to make now. I had no idea what those decisions were going to be…

Great Summer Spectacular with lots of moving parts. As usual I went out on a limb with a few picks and got burned lol

I like the idea of The Family Stone getting some fresh blood and I’m sure one of you render pals will give DS3 a youthful makeover.

I’m hoping Brother Grimm’s crew won the tag belts so they can drop them to Riley and KC

Good to see Ross get a big win and then with Primus coming back that will certainly kick things up a notch in the heavyweight title scene

MR: Hello and welcome to another exciting and thrill packed edition of Saturday Night Slammasters. We are coming to you from the Sweat Box. Tonight, we have a mega ten women tag team match -- the person who secures the victory will go to Independence to challenge for the Women's Championship. Ross Henry and Primus Allen are expected to be here, plus in our main event, The Mission will team up to wrestle The American Cobras.

RDJ: That is a blockbuster main event. The Mission are coming off of a big victory at Summer Spectacular. Ranger punched a ticket to Independence to challenge for the North American Heavyweight Championship.

DH: It's a shame they're going to get beaten by The American Cobras!

PH: So the Stones are bringing out the baby of the family? They’re bringing out the runt of the litter, little Dan Stone III. Good. We want to destroy the whole family tree. Not out of malice though -- it is just good for business. With the Stones gone, it creates more opportunity for us to make more money and ultimately money is what makes the world goes round.

CD: And when we win, we’ll buy the Stone Family house and turn it into our vacation home.

MT: Or the guest house for our vacation home!

BS: I have to hand it to you Cali, you outsmarted me at Summer Spectacular. I didn’t expect you to kick me in the family jewels to retain your championship. But you did. You took the easy way out -- and I’m okay with that. I’m okay that you took the easy way out -- because it means I get one more chance to beat your ass. It means at Independence, we’re gonna dance one more time -- and you’ll get wrecked by the Bulldozer.

RH: First match back was a success -- but then Bowen Services tried to take me out once again. They failed -- because someone had my back.

PA: That’s right Ross. I spent several years along side Lisa Bowen. She helped me achieve a lot of success, but that was then and this is now. I’m a different man now. I’m a focused man. A man focused on what Spencer Spade has. I am the Evolution -- and it is time for Continental Wrestling League to evolve once more.

I’m one half of the greatest tag team to ever lace up a pair of boots -- and for years I’ve searched for two guys who could carry the mantle of the Warlords.
