Phone conversation with Ed Monton.

Ed: "... let me get this straight, you want me to be your road agent/trainer for a new promotion you are trying to open up from scratch? A local promotion, that you want to call World Championship Wrestling, based in the southeast region of the United States?"

Me: "Yes... that is correct."

Ed: "Where did you come up with that name?"

Me: "Well, their is a text based wrestling game out there called, "Real Word Wrestling". Not sure why it's called that since it's a fictional universe. Anyway, one of the promotions in the game is called World Championship Wrestling. I thought that was a great name for a promotion and I kind of took it."

Ed: "A game? Seriously?"

Me: "Yeah, I know. But it does have a nice ring to it, right?"

Ed: "And you are going to run two shows a month from the get go? One reocurring event and a second PPV style event, with no PPV?"

Me: "...Yes. I was thinking Mayhem for the reocurring event and then the second monthly event(s) would have different names."

Ed: "You are going to make a lot of people upset when you open a wrestling promotion instead of rebuilding your title belt company."

Me: "I know, but after three catastrophes, to include a server malfunction, an intern overloading the circuits causing a fire and a hurricane, my insurance company has cancelled me after this last pay out."

Ed: "Looking at this small list of workers you are looking at, you'll be bankrupt within a year. Plus, you do realize that I would be your highest paid employee?"

Me: "Yes, I figure I'll lose money for at least the first year, maybe two. But with you training the guys and helping with the matches, I believe that expense will pay off in the long run. Don't look at it as being my employee, but more as a partnership. As a matter of fact, I would welcome any advise you would provide. Title belts I know, the business, not so much."

Ed: "..."

Me: "Look, I have a summer home down here that you could stay in rent free. If nothing else, look at it as a paid vacation.

Ed: "..."

Me: "Ed, take some time to think about it and talk it over with your family. Take a look at the guys I'm looking to start with and get back with me."

Ed: "Fine. I'll get back with you in a few weeks."

Me: "Thanks, that's all I'm asking for. We'll talk later."

Ed: "Ok, good-bye."

And that was most of the conversation I had with Ed Monton about coming down south and working for me. Eventually, he agreed and came down south around November of 2015 to finallize the promotion. I had met Ed a few years back when I delivered some title belts to CGC right after Alex took over. For some reason, Ed was always around and kept me company while I waited for Alex or his representative. It was during those waiting periods that he and I spoke and became friends, to some extent. He hadn't been my first choice however. I tried the usually suspects, Stately, Nemesis, etc, etc. but they wouldn't have anything to do with me as a boss. It wasn't until I found Ed's number written down in an old organizer that I called him.

OOC: Ok, so I'm not the best when it comes to this game, but I enjoy playing it. I'm the player that takes the default data, creates another "universe" and then adds about 20 OP characters to it just to see how fast I can rise or more for the best grades I could get. However, I started a game as if I was doing a diary and began to write things down and it kind of grew from there. Figured since I was writing it down, might as well share it with whoever might be interested.

So yes, wCw. Yes it is loosely based on the real wCw. Event names, TV names (if I get that far). As Deadpool would say, "that's lazy writing". Yes, that too.

Anyway, there is really no rhyme or reason behind what I'll be doing, but figured I'd put it out here for everyone.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Thomas Morgan defeated Philippe LaGrenier in 14:37 by submission with a STF. E+

In a decent match, Jack Avatar and Riley McManus defeated Austin Smooth and Ray Snow in 25:04 when Riley McManus defeated Austin Smooth by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. D-

Riley botched the suplex injuring Austin's shoulder. Smooth was later diagnosed with Chronic Shoulder Pain and was told to rest it for about a month.

Our first show is in the books and I can't complain about how it went other than the injury to Smooth.

On to our second event of the month, wCw Sin.</div>

Story of the match was regardless of what Riley said, he seemed almost afraid to use his suplex against Snow. Ultimately that hesitation is what cost him the match.</div>

McManus comes to the ring and takes a mic. He again apologizes for Austin's injury and gets interrupted by LaGrenier who steps out from the back. LaGrenier basically mocks Riley and calls him an American baby. Riley appears to snap out of his funk some after that comment. Riley says this baby will see you later tonight. LaGrenier says, in his French accent, "Ooh, a date. You're on big boy". Crowd chuckles at that. E+

Myself and the new United States Champion, Thomas Morgan are in the ring. I congratulate him on winning the title. He says, "Thank You." (Man of few words) I go on to put the entire locker room on notice. I tell everyone that numerous new superstars are here to prove themselves. (We are now considered a small promotion) I point to Morgan, "You now have a target on your back. Good luck."

As soon as I leave the ring, the lights flicker off/on and someone slides in behind Morgan wearing a bloodied hockey mask. Dane gasps, "That's MARTYR! Martyr lays Morgan out with a package pile driver that Dane calls the Vengeance Driver. Martyr grabs the US title and stands over Morgan. Martyr tilts his head to the side while staring at the title. The lights then go out and immediately come back on. Martyr is gone and the US title is draped over Morgan. C+ (with me) D (attack)

Remmy Honeyman / Conner Threepwood versus Cal Sanders / Riley McManus

In a decent match, Remmy Honeyman and Conner Threepwood defeated Cal Sanders and Riley McManus in 8:15 when Conner Threepwood defeated Cal Sanders by submission with a Stretch Plum. During the match we also had Austin Smooth distract McManus. D

Smooth did nothing but walk down to the ring. That was enough to distract Riley and keep him away from the corner and miss a Sanders hot tag.

I start the show in the ring, mic in hand. As I start to address the crowd, the lights flicker, then go dark. They immediately come back on as Martyr is looming in front of me. As soon as he tilts his head to the side, I waste no time bolting out of the ring. The lights go back out and then come back on. Martyr is gone and I go check my pants for stains. C+

From the announce desk I say that the last 4 matches were round 1 for the new wCw Championship. Just like we did for the US title, except seven of the eight are all new superstars just signed. The eighth contestant is US champion, Thomas Morgan. I go on to say that Morgan was the only one to impress me last month with is title win. He could very well be a double champion after tonight. A (Whoa!!!)

As usual, I start the event in the ring, mic in hand. I run down the matches for tonight;

Findlay O'Farraday will defend his wCw Championship against Jack Avatar.

Conner Threepwood will be in a triple threat match against George Wolfe and Austin Smooth.

Thomas Morgan will defend his US title against Ray Snow.

I'm interrupted by Felipe Caballero who enters the ring. Me: "If you're here to complain, you need to resubmit your complaint in 30 days for further denial". Caballero lowers his mic and can be seen saying "Screw you!" (He's not happy with his win/loss record)

The lights flicker off and on before going off again signaling the arrival of Martyr. Lights come on and Martyr is standing between us, slowly looking between us both. He slowly tilts his head sideways at me and I slowly back out of the ring. Martyr then tilts his head toward Caballero and instantly attacks, laying him out with his Vengeance Driver. Martyr stands over Caballero as the lights go off and then on again. Martyr is gone as I make my way to the announce desk with Dane and medical personnel check on Caballero. C-
