Congratulations. There's a lot of users who happen to be teachers on the board too (like me!). If you need help, advice, resources, etc. don't be afraid to give a shout out!

Now back the originally scheduled hype train...

Also a teacher! 13 years at it. Special Ed.

Can't wait to do Local to Global Baby. Martyr and Anders Thunder are going to rule my universe!!!

Who would be a good character to play as...I'm looking for someone ambitious enough to start his or her own company, but have no money to do it with.

Not a teacher, but spent 5 years working as an attendance officer/pastoral support.. does that count?

Nah, disagree massively. The fact is, we know when we’re dealing with Grey Dog they don’t make commitments they can’t or won’t meet. We also know this isn’t Sony or EA, who can commit to exact times months in advance. If the game is available for download a minute to midnight Arizona time, GDS have done exactly what they said they would. At no point did anyone commit to the demo being available as soon as the calendar says April 23, and I think everyone knew that wouldn’t be the case.

This really isn’t a big deal, honestly. The game is almost certainly going to satisfy the overwhelming majority of us. The wait, the tension, the wondering, it’s all part of the experience. Enjoy it.

I think you both have valid points tbh. Someone has the right to complain as long as it follows board rules. I'm fine with waiting myself tho with no complaints

do you think they have adequately anticipated the demand? I feel like the game is more popular than ever and combining that with everyone being cooped up... people are super looking forward to this.

SD Jones one of my favorite jobbers ever. Made Demolition look like monsters.

Lots of emotions with this release in conjunction with many being stuck at home and having the time to jump on immediately. One thing to keep in mind here is no one knows the details or what is going on behind the scenes. Similar to someone having a bad day and us not knowing what they are going through to cause it, we need patience. This game is going to be fantastic as you all know.

Just like Bischoff, who waited to have Hogan v Goldberg on a PPV...wait...wrong example...

Just like Bischoff, who waited to have Hogan v Sting on a PPV, we must also be patient.

I look forward to all the awesome discussions this game will bring.

Oh I didn't know we had a buncha education types here! I am also an education type. I have Zoom calls with some of my kids this afternoon and I am super psyched to see them but also super sad because that is like the exact window of time that we're guessing the demo to drop lol.

LOL me too Brother. 8th grade pre algebra Zoom meet at 1235

What are the main attributes you guys look for when signing new workers? I set up a thread in the TEW2016 section. This is the only thing that I’m still not to familiar with and need help with as it’s not as simple as having one overall rating such as in ewr 4.2

Obviously popularity is huge, but Star Quality and Good ring ability. If you are starting a new fed, you can get tons of great Euro and Aussie workers into your fed for like 250 bucks a show. They will get over like gangbusters.

Star quality and psychology for me, although with the changes to star quality this time around then it's going to be less important.

The other posters have good advice so follow their points too but it also partially depends on your product. A guy with slightly more pop in a pop > performance fed may perform better with slightly worse in-ring talent than a guy with less pop. And also like if your promotion has "Key Features" in Lucha or Daredevil, the Aerial skill is probably more likely to be important than in other feds.

Can you give me the TL: DR version of the star quality change?

In 2016 it's pretty static, main way of going up is if they increase in size. According to journal, this time around it can increase early in a worker's career as they gain more confidence and there are more random events that affect it as well.

This wasn't me saying that people should complain. This was me stating that if people do complain then they have a right. Like I said, about time I get home, the game will be out. But people in here are saying that others shouldn't be frustrated. No matter if they are Sony, EA, Chucklefish or a startup, gamers should know when the game is coming out and shouldn't have to guess. It is something they need to figure out and fix. It is one of their only problems. If it's a server issue, then they need to fix that. They've been putting out games for close to 2 decades now. There is no excuse for it. I won't complain about it but if you can't see how that would be frustrating to others then I don't think I'll be able to get this point across to you.

I love Random events. TEW 2016 question. It breaks my immersion when a new worker pops up, aged 20 with like Dan Stone's picture. How can I turn that off?</p>

If I’m looking for prospects then psychology, etc doesn’t matter to me because it will improve. Entertainment or star quality is a lot harder to make increase.</p><p> </p><p> Beyond that just stats and imagination. I might pass up a slightly better worker if I feel like the gimmick/character of the lesser worker fits my roster better. With the new game that might include a tag specialist who is slightly worse.</p>
