</strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">War for Territory #35</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Live from the Centerpiece Bridge, SC</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

James Diaz vs Oscar Tufnel</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Showing a viscious, psychotic edge following his actions at Where It All Begins Again, James Diaz was much more aggressive and reminiscent of his father Ray as he literally destroyed poor fun loving rookie Oscar Tufnel in dominant fashion before adding the exclamation point with a Ray Gun.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: James Diaz, by pinfall</strong></p><p>

<img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

After the match was over, Logan Diaz came out and cut a fiery promo, demanding an explanation for his cousin's actions at Where It All Begins Again. James however simply said he doesn't owe Logan anything and left the ring, leaving the fans and Logan asking "why James, why"</p><p>

The Heartbreak Express vs The Boys from the Yukon (with Lisa Bowen)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A somewhat poor match in terms of action and fan reaction, this one was built around Lisa Bowen's current and previous allegiances, with her timely interference providing the Yukon Boys with the assist to get the win over the Express.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Boys from the Yukon, by pinfall after Lisa Bowen interfered</strong></p><p><strong>

Claire Winters & Laura Flame vs Dee Daniels & Emma Bitch (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Things were slightly better in the subsequent tag match, where both Flame and Daniels, who had made their returns at Where It All Begins, were in action alongside Winters and Bitch respectively. The match was competitive, exciting and every woman had a chance to shine with all four putting up equally good performances before Winters score the surprise win over Daniels with a surprise roll up for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Claire Winters & Laura Flame, by pinfall with a roll up</strong></p><p><strong>

Robbie Wright hit the ring next for a promo in which he bragged over his big win at Where It All Begins Again and requested a match for the Piledriver Championship title next. This brought out the champion Cali Slick who warned the cocky youngster he's gonna get his ass handed to him, before Masked Patriot interrupted to join in and request a title shot after his big win over Buck Winchester. The segment ended at a stalemate, with all three agreeing to let the promotion's matchmaker sort out this mess however they see fit.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Charger Siaki vs Nate "The Great" DeMarcus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

In the night's main event, the devastating samoan Charger Siaki made his Piledriver Wrestling in-ring debut against the ever-exciting Nate DeMarcus. Both young, hungry and talented athletes, they really brought the best out of each other in this bout as they matched each other in strength and athleticism, to the point where it almost felt that the win came through a stroke of sheer luck when Siaki managed to connect with his finisher out of nowhere.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Charger Siaki, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Siaki's celebration was cut short by Julius Moor, who came out to congratulate but also warn him that he has his eyes on him. Moor basically repeated his promo at Where It All Begins Again, promising to destroy Siaki first, but before he could say the same about Reaper, the new Piledriver United States champion came out of the entrance ramp and attacked Moor from behind! Siaki had no qualms about joining and the two men put the boots to Moor, the show ending with the two of them standing tall as the announcers wondering whether Reaper and Siaki have struck some sort of alliance.</p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Piledriver Wrestling returns to the South East</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

In a huge announcement shortly after the annual show of Where It All Begins Again, Piledriver Wrestling is excited to return to its home base of the South Western U.S. for November's Thanksbeating show. The initial response has shown that the promotion's old stomping grounds of the Rainbow Bar & Grill in Florida would barely be able to fit half of the fans wanting to attend, so the venue that will host Thanksbeating 2020 will instead be in Atlanta, Georgia with a capacity of 1.000 seats. According to Piledriver Wrestling's founder and owner Lee Wright, he wants to re-connect with the fans who were "kinda left behind" after the promotion's merge with Mid Atlantic Wrestling and subsequent move to the Carolinas. Wright mentioned that thanks to the promotion's broadcasting deal with The Carolinas Network, this will allow fans in the Mid Atlantic region to stay up to date while Piledriver Wrestling seeks to land a similar deal for the South Eastern area and will therefore be hosting its monthly shows there, with War for Territory still held in the Mid Atlantic region.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Ernest Youngman signs with Piledriver Wrestling</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

"The Assassin of the Squared Circle" Ernest Youngman may have not been offered a contract extention by NYCW, but their fellow COTT allies Piledriver Wrestling were quick to offer him a 3 year deal instead. Youngman is no stranger to Piledriver Wrestling fans, having made both singles appearances as well as participating in the Sam Keith Classic alongside Shady K as representatives of the New York based promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

Robbie Wright opened Thanksbeating 2020 wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving and saying he's grateful about the opportunity provided to him tonight: instead of having to go through a #1 contender's match against Masked Patriot before he could wrestle Cali Slick for the Piledriver Championship, he now had a chance to get it all over with in a single match, a Triple Threat for the belt in the night's main event. Wright did a great job of delivering a hot start to the show and worked the crowd masterfully, often times improvising on the fly to elevate the segment even more.</p><p>

Lora Washington & Laura Flame vs Dee Daniels & Melanie Trigg (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Solid action in the opening contest, where Lora and Laura wrestled against two representatives of Sawyer Sports Services. Much of the match was about whether the two beloved babyfaces could work together as a team after Flame's explicitly expressed desire to chase Washington's title, but the finish saw the dastardly manager slide in a chair for Trigg to use on Flame, only for the referee Alvin Lavin to barely notice despite Daniels' attempts to distract him, leading to a DQ for Sawyer's clients.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Lora Washington & Laura Flame, by disqualification</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Backstage, the camera caught the Diaz cousins already in the middle of a wild brawl that claimed nearly a dozen security members and much of the surrounding scenery before they could finally be pulled apart.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="bnY1FzQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bnY1FzQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

The ominous melody of Power Glove's "Night Force" accompanied the grand entrance of Piledriver Wrestling's latest signing, as he menacingly marched to the ring sporting his trademark sunglasses for this next match...</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="VvTA0fk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VvTA0fk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SJYcxhu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SJYcxhu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<strong>"The Assassin of the Squared Circle" Ernest Youngman vs Riley McManus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Youngman certainly didn't have it easy against the former Piledriver champion and this led to an extremely open, competitive match that nearly stole the show. The newcomer's overconfidence ran into a brick wall against the ever-solid McManus, who was extra motivated to win in his home territory of Georgia. For a while, it looked like he and the fans would be getting their happy moment, but Youngman stole it away when he held on to his opponent's tights to secure a shady victory over him and earn himself instant heel heat with the audience.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Ernest Youngman, by pinfall with a handful of tights</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Cali Slick cut a promo next to share his thoughts on the night's main event. Slick said the odds are always against the champion in a Triple Threat match, since he doesn't even have to be pinned to lose his title. However, Slick cut his teeth in the SoCal hardcore scene, where you always had to have eyes in the back of your head and expect the unexpected. There was nothing, he said, that could surprise him tonight; he would defy the odds and score the pin to remain the Piledriver champion!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Julius Moor & Jebediah vs Charger Siaki & Reaper</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A heated, personal match in the night's semi main event, as apparent allies Reaper and Siaki took on the team of Moore and Jebediah. The amish wrestler started the match and looked hellbent on punishing his two opponents for costing him the Piledriver United States title, almost ending the match three minutes in but only getting a two count for his effort. Siaki and Reaper each assisted the other with sneaky shots from the outside, before working together in the ring to flatten Jebediah with a double charging avalanche that saw him get sandwiched between their frames. Moor broke up the subsequent pin and things fell apart as he clotheslined Siaki out of the ring. Reaper followed for an all out brawl, in which Moor and Siaki ended up taking out each other when they clashed head-on in opposing charges. Reaper's advantage was short-lived as Jebediah hit a huge running splash off the apron and all four men found themselves stunned on the ringside floor, leading to a double countout finish to the match.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Result: Draw (Double Countout)</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

The Southern Stars came down to the ring and got on the microphones to recap their achievements: Sam Keith Classic winners, a victory over previous winners The Ring Generals, victory againt the Boys from the Yukon and at Where It All Begins Again, victory over last year's tournament winners and reigning COTT Tag Team champions, The Good Ol' Boys. There was only one way to go next, the Piledriver Tag Team titles! This of course brought out the new champions, The Mid Atlantic Express, for a heated back and forth on the mics, with the two teams essentially hyping a future title match between them.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Cali Slick © vs Masked Patriot vs Robbie Wright</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

In the much awaited main event, three of Piledriver Wrestling's hottest stars clashed in a fight for the promotion's top prize. Wright was off to a fast, flashy start but was quickly taken out by his two hard hitting opponents, who proceded to trade blows for the next few minutes. Patriot threw in the occasional suplex or submission hold to mix things up too, the pace allowing Wright to regroup and recover so he could join the fray. With Slick and Patriot now paying the physical toll of their fight so far, Wright was able to take control of the match and pick up the pace as the main event reached its climax.</p><p>

It wasn't meant to be though, as a spiteful Xavi Ferrera made his appearance to shake the ropes and throw Wright off balance just as the man who beat him at Where It All Begins Again was about to hit a big move off the top. Wright ended up hitting Patriot at a bad angle that sent him out of the ring, allowing Slick to pick up the former SWF star for a Slick-Back chokeslam to score the pin and retain.</p><p>

War for Territory #36

Saturday, Week 2 December, 2020

Live from the Centerpiece Bridge, SC

12RJue4.jpg

The show began with a slick promo from the Piledriver champion, in which he bragged about defeating the odds of that triple threat match at Thanksbeating. Slick's delivery really struck gold here and fans were reaching nuclear levels already, with chants of "Xavi saved it" and "Paper champion" echoing across the Centerpiece Brige.

Jules Knight vs Nate DeMarcus (with Cheerleader Candy)

Nate DeMarcus entered the opening contest with a new face by his side, announced as Cheerleader Candy. For all her good looks and charisma though, she just didn't work as DeMarcus' arm candy and ringside supporter, despite getting a loud reaction from the fans. Fortunately, DeMarcus balanced that out with his own individual skill and great chemistry against Knight, including some pretty hot spots that referenced issues like race and police brutality, before a Snap Tackle put the masked lawman down for the count.

Winner: Nate DeMarcus, by pinfall

Logan Diaz & The Southern Stars vs James Diaz & The Mid Atlantic Express

This six man tag intertwined the family feud of the Diaz cousins with that of the Southern Stars and the Mid Atlantic Express over the tag team titles. As expected, the match was pretty intense and emotions quickly ran wild, leading to referee Alvin Lavin losing control as things broke down, to the point where he had to call for the bell and stop the match.

Result: Referee stoppage

Laura Flame cut a promo next, talking about facing Lora Washington for the Piledriver Women's title. Flame praised the champion and wished her good luck in her scheduled match against Paige Croft for the COTT Women's title, saying she'd be all to happy to face not just the promotional champion, but the champion of the entire alliance.

Paige Croft © vs Lora Washington

Croft was making her first title defense here and Washington looked all to eager to reclaim the title she used to hold in the past. This led to a fast paced and pretty intense match, with both competitors showing a lot of hunger for the win. As the hometown fighter, Washington had fans on her side although Croft did win a few over by the time the match was through and forcing the Piledriver Women's champion to tap out to her Memphis Deathlock certainly established her as a credible title holder.

Winner: Paige Croft, by submission

Julius Moor, Jebediah, Charger Siaki and Reaper just poured out of the backstage area already engaged in a wild brawl that spilled down to ringside, although no match did officially happen. Security rushed in only to be tossed aside and the brawl was simply directed away from the ring so the show could continue despite "let them fight" chants.

Masked Patriot & Robbie Wright vs Xavi Ferrera & Ernest Youngman

Patriot and Wright were given a chance here to get revenge for Ferrera's meddling in their title match at Thanksbeating and they did just that, focusing their offence on the Puerto Rican athlete as they vented their frustration. However this did mean that Ferrera's old PSW acquaintance was pretty fresh and unharmed by the time he got the hot tag. Youngman knocked Patriot off the apron and unleashed a sequence of moves onto Wright, before rolling him up with some extra leverage from the ropes to secure the shady pin.

Winners: Xavi Ferrera & Ernest Youngman, by pinfall after illegally using the ropes for leverage

Annihilus vs Carl Bernard vs Jules Night vs Nancy Hollands vs Nicole Pyle</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The show began like every Night of the Champions does since MAW was acquired by Piledriver Wrestling, with an Elimination match between dojo graduates to showcase their progress and crown this year's Golden Graduate Cup winner. All five participants were more or less on the same level and we were off to a shocing start as last year's winner Bernard was the first to be eliminated after a big brawl with Annihilus and a combined effort by Night, Hollands and Pyle who (no pun intended) piled on top of him for the first pin. The remaining competitors then teamed up to take Annihilus down and while the big man did end up out of the ring, he wasn't also out of the match. Jules Night kept the pressure on the fallen monster while the ladies fought it out in the ring. Hollands got the fall over Pyle, but she had little time to savour it as Night crept back into the ring and took her out from behind with Rick Law's "Long Arm Of The Law" finisher! Of course, that left him on his own against Annihilus and thus the Finnish monster had no problem in squashing the masked lawman to become this year's Golden Graduate.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Annihilus, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Piledriver Wrestling's authority figure in Gorgon was out next and she had an announcement she was less than happy to make: since the Piledriver Champion Cali Slick failed to show up on a night where he was expected to defend his title, he would thus be stripped of it and the title would be hung up the rafters and contested for in a four corners Ladder match between the four men that headlined War for Territory #36: Ernest Youngman, Masked Patriot, Robbie Wright and Xavi Ferrera. Fans popped but they joy was soon cut short by El Masked Sheik who crashed the party, screaming that The Carolinas Network did not approve of such an "extreme" stipulation. Gorgon was not happy to have a wrench thrown into her plans, but under threat of having the broadcast deal called off, she had to yield and agree to make the main event a Four Corners Elimination match instead, but only as long as she could also insert her protege, Claire Winters, into the Piledriver Women's title match.</p><p>

McManus & Garner</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

As the announcing team brought up, the COTT titles can not normally be contested for between members of the same promotion, however given the night's special stipulation of every title being on the line, the alliance allowed this matchup, which essentially featured the champions against every regular tag team except the two scheduled to wrestle for the Piledriver Tag Team titles later on. Given the history between the Good Ol' Boys, The Boys from the Yukon, The Heartbreak Express and their managers, there was no shortage of drama and tension in this match, with the Express eliminated first after Whittaker caught Needham mid-air to reverse a crossbody into a slam for the pin. Garner was the next to get hit with a big move, the inexperienced youngster getting a little overconfident against the Iowa champions and letting his defenses down to get hit with an Iowa Harvest for the pin, which brought the match down to the two bitter rivals, Cruz and Bowen's teams. The rest of the match was a wild slugfest between the four heavy hitters, but the champions were able to retain after an entertaining ten minute bout.</p><p>

The Mid Atlantic Express © vs The Southern Stars</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A much anticipated match, this one did not disappoint thanks to the way these two teams can work as consistent units. Given the competitors' styles and backgrounds, this one played out like a classic oldschool mid-southern territory tagmatch, with the Architect spoiling the match when he low-blowed Tennessee William while Syd Collier was distracting the ref, followed by the Blueprint and a tap out for the Express to retain.</p><p>

Reaper © vs Jebediah</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A proper grugde match given the rivalry between these two big men, the match was an outright brawl, though both men were deceptively agile for their size and that kept it from becoming a slow plodding slapfest. Jebediah did his best and put on a solid performance, however it seems time and time again he just can't find a way to take down Reaper as once again, he succumbed to a Death Bomb as the US champion retained.</p><p>

Next up, Logan Diaz cut a promo on his cousin James saying how he supported him only to get stabbed in the back and lose his Piledriver championship. Logan did a good job in bringing up how he's the smaller of the two and the nephew, not son, of Raymond Diaz, essentially portraying himself as the underdog in this feud but fans apparently wanted action, not words, meaning his promo sort of fell through in anticipation of the family feud match that was scheduled next.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

"Glorious" Logan Diaz vs "Return of the Monster" James Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

This was an interesting shift from the previous bout as despite their size, the Diaz cousins put a lot of grappling and technique into this match. That's not to say of course that they avoided stiff strikes and power moves, on the contrary they used those to emphasize the tension between them and James especially played up his new psychotic heel persona when he refused to step way from a defenseless Logan that he was pummeling, resulting in the referee's decision to stop the match.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Logan Diaz, by disqualification</strong></p><p><strong>

Robbie Wright was up next and he cut a promo to put over the Piledriver Championship and all his opponents, saying however that by the end of the show, he'd be the one to walk away with that title belt.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Lora Washington vs Laura Flame vs Claire Winters</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Initially criticized as fans wanted to see Washington go one on one with Flame, this match delivered bigtime and almost stole the show as all three women pulled out all the stops to create a masterclass of striking, technical wrestling and ring psychology. Both members of the original Piledriver Wrestling roster and early rivals, Flame and Winters had some intense striking exchanges on top of Flame's rivalry with the champion. It was this divided attention that ended up costing Flame the match and Washington seized her opportunity to take out Winters with a July 4th Jam for the pin, successfully making her eighth title defense.</p><p>

Washington's joy was short lived however, as all "Playboy" Jake Sawyer and all four of his clients surrounded the ring to beat down the exhausted champion, apparently furious with the fact that neither of them had been booked to wrestle at the big show.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Charger Siaki vs Julius Moor</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Ever since his arrival, Julius Moor has been steamrolling through the biggest, baddest opponents Piledriver Wrestling could throw his way and this was another chapter in his saga. The menacing Samoan put on somewhat of a sub-par performance, the match ending up as little more than a series of head-on charges between two raging bulls, but it fortunately never made it past the nine minute mark before Moore hit the Charging Tackle that kept Siaki down for the pin.</p><p>

Ernest Youngman vs Masked Patriot vs Robbie Wright vs Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

With four of Piledriver Wrestling's biggest stars in the ring, this match took the classic Japanese "King's Road" approach in terms of presentation, with all four men pacing themselves to build up drama through psychology that showcased their resilience and fighting spirit. The start of the match featured several near falls, with competitors still fresh and with plenty of people available to break up pins and it wasn't until the fourteenth minute that Xavi Ferrera got hit with the Wright Move and then the Patriot Slam to get eliminated. This led to a de facto alliance between the two remaining babyfaces and the decision paid dividends once Youngman got eliminated, leaving Patriot and Wright to finish it up as the match crescendoed into an athletic contest full of competition and hunger for victory. Wright hit Patriot with everything he had but couldn't keep the persistent masked man down so he had to go high risk, only for him to crash and burn when he came up empty. Patriot finally hit Wright with a Patriot Slam and fell on top for the 1-2-3, winning the match and reclaiming the Piledriver Championship to kick off his second reign.</p><p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>"Baby? Baby, please wake up..."</em></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="koi6P3f.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/koi6P3f.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="12RJue4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/12RJue4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Kandii's knuckles almost went white as she grabbed and shook Cali Slick's muscled frame with the strength only a hearty dose of adrenaline can provide. He mumbled something, but his head dropped, unsupported by the muscles on his neck. The mirrored red shades he'd always wear in public slid a bit down his nose. The airplane's seatbelt apparently was the only thing holding him from collapsing down to the floor.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>"Someone call an ambulance!"</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

On the way to the hospital, riding on the back of the ambulance and holding Slick's hand, she couldn't help but think back on the mess that was their relationship. The mess her entire life was. She was born and raised in Portland, but went south to chase her Hollywood dreams of being an actress. Like most aspiring actresses, she eventually had to face the harsh reality of show business overflowing with aspiring workers. Her good looks helped her land a job as a waitress, then quickly shot her to hostess at Brother Grimm's Warehouse. When the boss decided to set up GSW, he needed hot ladies for the crowd to feast their eyes upon, which was how she inadvertantly got into the business as Busta Capp's arm candy. That's where she and Slick met. Where they began dating. And just when they started going steady and making plans to move in together, GSW folded. She still had her job at The Warehouse, but Slick was immediately signed by Piledriver off to the East. They pushed him hard and put the title on him fast. Slick would still do shows for Pro Wrestling Max in San Fransisco, but his main gig was Piledriver. They were bigger, they paid better and they had a TV deal. So she had to yield and follow after him. Slick put in a good word and Lee Wright decided to bring Kandii on board so they could spend some more time together. They put her with Nate DeMarcus first, but the two of them didn't click so that was going to change. Whether they'd openly recognize the real life relationship between her and Slick or whether they'd try teaming her with a new wrestler, she didn't know yet. What she did know was that she flew in from Portlant, Slick flew in from L.A., they met in Dallas and by the time their flight landed in Atlanta, Slick was a subdued shell of a man from all the pills he'd guzzled.</p><p> </p><p>

Kandii knew from back in them GSW days, Slick would work crazy hardcore matches and he needed the chemical assistance to rebound in time for the next show. She hadn't thought much of it at the time, especially given the overall atmosphere in GSW's locker room. Most wrestlers would drink the pain away or hit the blunt so hard they'd barely feel anything any more. Slick's tag team partner Aces High was a notorious party animal and drug fiend, to the point where Grimm fired him before 2016 was over. Compared to that, a few painkillers seemed innocent enough. Seeing Slick almost flatline now, she viewed things in a different light.</p><p> </p><p>

And as if that wasn't enough, she'd have to call Piledriver and tell them Slick wasn't going to show up. At Night of Champions, of all shows, and while he was still the champion. There would be consequences for that, both immediate and regarding his long term booking, if not his employment status in general. Maybe hers too. Life just wasn't going to get any easier for either of them anytime soon.</p>

Cali Slick kicks off the show and he's in a foul mood after being stripped of the Piledriver Championship at Night of the Champions. He promises to reclaim the strap and says it starts tonight, when he faces the new champion Masked Patriot and Julious Moor in the main event together with the biggest, baddest black man he could find to be his teammate, Reaper. Reaper then takes the mic and cuts his own promo on Moor, saying he will begin tearing down Moor tonight and next month he will finish the job when he beats him to remain the Piledriver United States champion.</p><p>

The Piledriver Tag Team champions are backstage and are interviewed about their match tonight against the Southern Stars and Riley McManus. Looking confident, the Express say they beat the Stars last month in McManus' home state of Georgia; now they're in their own territory, MAW territory, and they've recruited a very special ally for this match tonight...</p><p>

Lora Washington, Miss Atlantic Wrestling, Laura Flame & Claire Winters vs Sawyer Sports Services (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A match made in the aftermath of Sawyer's group attacking the participants of the three way title match at Night of the Champions, the victims are joined by Miss Atlantic Wrestling here and all eight women put on another solid performance with Emma Bitch getting the pin over Claire Winters with the Payback.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

The Mid Atlantic Express & Dr. Dixie vs The Southern Stars & Riley McManus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Dr. Dixie was the wildcard in this match and indeed the Stars & McManus didn't know what to expect, making this a quite open contest between the skill and familiarity of all wrestlers involved. Speaking of familiarity, Dr. Dixie seemed to be really comfortable teaming with the Express, Syd Collier especially and to play up fans' suspicions, the two men teased hitting the Chop and Change, the tag finisher from back when Collier used to team with Cameron Jones as the Dynamite Express in MAW, only for McManus to interrupt their posing and shove Collier onto the Architect before he hit Dr. Dixie with a Slingshot Suplex for the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Southern Stars & Riley McManus, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

"Return of the Monster" James Diaz vs Quentrel Garner</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

This match could have, in theory at least, been a showcase of two of the promotion's most promising blue chippers. In execution however, Diaz overwhelmed his opponent and never stopped attacking, dominating the match and hitting his father's Ray Gun finisher for the pin to win in spectacular fashion.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: James Diaz, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Logan Diaz came out after the match and he cut a promo on his cousin, saying that nothing's over between them after Night of the Champions and once this year's Rip Chord Invitational was over, he'd be lobbying for a rematch between them.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Ernest Youngman vs Robbie Wright vs Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

With Masked Patriot winning the Fatal Four way title match at Night of the Champions, the remaining three competitors met once more in this triangle match, the winner of which would make a big step towards finding themselves in a title match once more. Furthermore, Wright and Ferrera rekindled their rivalry, though it was Youngman who eventually took the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Robbie Wright</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Cali Slick & Reaper vs Masked Patriot & Julius Moor</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

As mentioned in the opening segment, Slick and Reaper teamed up to take on Patriot and Moore in the main event, a hard hitting match that was pretty oldschool in execution despite its competitors being a bit more cartoonish than the typical rugged wrestlers one would find in a more "traditional" promotion.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="58PKe45.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/58PKe45.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Charger Siaki made an appearance too, attacking Julius Moore to force a DQ finish and the show went off the air with all the wrestlers trying to pull the two brawling men apart.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Masked Patriot & Julius Moor, by disqualification</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Saturday, Week 4 January, 2021

Live from the Sweat Box, GA

Rip Chord Invitational XV Quarterfinals match

yRkXfDa.jpgGIRKb76.jpguN4bdE9.jpg

"The Barbadian Barbarian" Donte Dunn (4C) vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera

Though many Piledriver Wrestling fans may not be that familiar with the Barbadian Barbarian, the big brawler's natural charisma and athleticism quickly won them over. On top of that, he and Ferrera seemed to bring out the best in each other as they pushed to ever greater spots and as a result, fans were quick to come alive for this contest, an exciting opener that saw Ferrera come out victorious after he threw Dunn head first onto an exposed turnbuckle with a Ferrerarana for the pin.

Winner: "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall

"Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota (CZCW) vs Robbie Wright

One of the pioneers that popularized the high flying wrestling style in America, Ota was no stranger to the audience and they cheered for him, despite his character technically being a sneaky heel. This was exactly the story this match was focused on getting across, with Ota's trickery throwing Wright off his game for a quick win in just under six minutes after the COTT Junior Heavyweight champion blinded Wright with an unknown substance while referee Alvin Lavin was busy removing a shuriken from the ring.

Winner: "Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota, by pinfall after blatantly cheating

Héroe (OLLIE) vs "The Assassin of the Squared Circle" Ernst Youngman

Despite being a masked luchador, Héroe did very little high flying in this match. Instead, he stuck to his guns and his rock solid technical skills to put on a clinic alongside "The Assassin of the Squared Circle" that wouldn't be out of place in Youngman's former home of NYCW. A very open, back and forth match, this one got a great response unlike what one might have expected from an actual wrestling clinic and a Superkick from Héroe sealed the deal to send him to the next stage of the Invitational.

Winner: Héroe, by pinfall

Ross "The Boss" Henry (NYCW) vs Cali Slick

Last of the quarterfinal matchups, this one featured two men with lots of similarities as well as many differences. Slick wasn't shy about going there either, insulting the fallen Henry as "fake" and "a show off" between outbursts of his own offense. Arguably the most intense and hard-hitting bout of the first round, this brawl saw both men bring their A game but it was Henry who got away with the win after powering out of a Slick-Back chokeslam attempt to respond with his own Earthquake Powerslam finisher.

Winner: Ross "The Boss" Henry, by pinfall

During a brief intermission, Claire Winters took to the ring and addressed her former tag team partner's recent announcement on social media, the fact that Eri Sato had just given birth to a baby boy. Winters gave the audience something to cheer about and wished Sato all the best for her and her newborn, saying she's itching to see her back in action and reform the Kick City Connection!

Ross "The Boss" Henry (NYCW) vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera

Both men went through the first round over opponents that shared a lot of similarities with themselves and this second stage saw them facing another legitimate athlete in the race for the finals. They also wrestled pretty physical matches in the quarterfinals and the toll that took was evident in this one, but Henry had the smarts to play possum and avoid a High Impact Frog Splash to hit his own Earthquake Powerslam next and win it.

Winner: Ross "The Boss" Henry, by pinfall

Héroe (OLLIE) vs "Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota (CZCW)

Speaking of exhaustion, how about the toll that years of high flying and aerial spots have taken on the 46 year old Ota... While he may have gotten away with a quick and dirty victory in the opening round of the Invitational, wrestling a second match on the same night clearly exposed his waning stamina and Héroe had no problem in grounding him and hitting another Superkick for the pin by the seventh minute of their match.

Winner: Héroe, by pinfall

Riley McManus came out next and Georgia fans gave the hometown hero a roaring welcome. McManus cut a textbook babyface promo to praise Fumihiro Ota for his contributions to wrestling, but quoting his own career and what MAW, COTT and Piledriver mean to him, he added he can't bear to watch a man so much past his prime represent the Junior Heavyweights of COTT. Though no small man himself, McManus said he'll drop to just below the weight class limit in order to get a match against the Super Ninja and hopefully bring that COTT title around the waist of a man who can properly represent the alliance.

Reaper © vs Julius Moor

Providing fans and wrestlers alike with a little break between the semifinals and the Invitational's big final match, Reaper hit the ring to defend his US title against the big man who has set to destroy all big men, Julius Moor. The match began as a wild brawl all over the place, but the two big men soon paced themselves to avoid getting exhausted too early and after the exciting start, the match switched to a showcase of stiff shots back and forth, given how the two men were unable to use most of their power-based slams against each other. This did however make the finish all the more special, as Reaper finally managed to put both hands on Moor's throat and lift him up for the Death Bomb, a somewhat shocking outcome for some but absolutely expected after TCW announced, just days before the Invitational, that they had signed Moor to an exclusive contract.

Winner: Reaper, by pinfall

A pre-recorded message from James Diaz aired next, in which the young wrestler cut a quick, basic promo to answer his cousin's challenge and accept.

Héroe (OLLIE) vs Ross "The Boss" Henry (NYCW)

Probably the first Rip Chord Invitational finals ever, or at least in a very long time, to not feature a representative of the hosting promotion, this match was still very well received by the live audience thanks to the skill and popularity of the two finalists. Henry came out carrying the NYCW Empire title belt in a show of strength and confidence, but that didn't seem to scare Héroe who has also won championship gold in OLLIE, albeit no singles titles yet. The match was grounded from bell to bell, with no high flying on display but some great wrestling still, especially every time Héroe managed to lift up Henry for a suplex. Both men rose to the occasion, performing above and beyond exhaustion in a fierce display of fighting spirit despite this being their third match of the night and after going to the well one too many times, Héroe saw one of his suplexes reversed with a standing switched into the Earthquake Powerslam that secured the pinfall.

Winner: Ross "The Boss" Henry, by pinfall

Piledriver Wrestling's champion Masked Patriot came to award the Rip Chord Invitational to Henry and the winner cut a victory promo to celebrate his win, putting over Patriot, Héroe, the invitational itself and all of this year's competitors.

War for Territory #38

Saturday, Week 2 February, 2021

Live from the Centerpiece Bridge, SC

uN4bdE9.jpg12RJue4.jpgaJatmCo.jpg

Xavi Ferrera kicked off the show with a promo demaning a title match against Masked Patriot, since he was the only man on the Piledriver roster to make it past the first stage of last month's Rip Chord Invitational. He was cut off by Cali Slick, who laid his own claim to the title after he was stripped of it at Night of the Champions in December. The solution was provided by Piledriver Wrestling's authority figure in Gorgon, who set up two big matches for the night: Ferrera would be given his title opportunity tonight, while Slick would be facing the other two Inivtational participants, Ernest Youngman and Robbie Wright, in a triple threat match to determine the new #1 Contender.

Lora Washington, Laura Flame & Claire Winters vs Sawyer Sports Services (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

Sawyer's group attacked Washington, Flame and Winters after their triple threat title match at Night of the Champions in December, which led to them requesting a 4 vs 4 match at War for Territory #37. As the broadcast duo filled viewers in, Melanie Trigg left that match with serious neck damage that would sideline her for quite some time, leading to Sawyer's group requesting a rematch this time. Fans were pretty into this match despite its overplayed setup in all sorts of variations and Winters scored an impressive win for her team after taking out Daniels with a Flying Knee Strike.

Winners: Lora Washington, Laura Flame & Claire Winters, by pinfall

Despite earlier announcements and in clear defiance of her doctors' recommendations, Melanie Trigg made an appearance wearing a neck brace collar to attack the winning team, only for it to backfire when Miss Atlantic Wrestling joined the babyface team to send Sawyer's group into a cowardly retreat.

Logan Diaz & Nate DeMarcus vs James Diaz & Charger Siaki

Before their scheduled singles clash, the Diaz cousins found themselves in this tag match, one that really upped the intensity just moments after the opening bell. Despite his flabby frame, Siaki proved tough and strong enough to team with the ripped James Diaz, while the athleticism of DeMarcus complimented the amateur wrestling background of Logan in beautiful fashion. There was certainly no love lost between the Diaz cousins and the ending of the match saw them brawling at ringside, while Siaki barely avoided a Snap Tackle to respond with his Crash Test finisher and score the pin.

Winners: James Diaz & Charger Siaki, by pinfall

Of course, the ending of the match meant little to Logan and James Diaz, who continued their ringside brawl in a preview of what fans can expect, before security struggled to pull them apart and send them backstage.

Going Coastal vs The Good Ol' Boys © (with Vinny Cruz)

Former title holders Going Coastal returned for another shot at the COTT Tag Team titles, with California Love Machine also carrying a niggling neck injury. No strangers to each other, the two teams put on another solid performance, with Langton and Fitzpaine trying to isolate CLM and work on his damaged neck. Fans were hot for the tag and Frankie-Boy Fernandes finally got it to hit the ring like a house on fire, knocking Wooton Fitzpaine onto Vinny Cruz who was on the apron, only to bounce back, duck under Langton's clothesline and catch him on the rebound in a rolling schoolboy pin.

"Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota © vs Riley McManus

A match set up during the recent Rip Chord Invitational, McManus showed up to wrestle Ota for the COTT Junior Heavyweight title match and the two competitors told a compelling story in the ring between Ota's ninja tricks and McManus' grit. Once again, Ota's age showed inside the ropes and ten minutes were far too much for him to wrestle up to his usual standards, leading to a desperation move in order to retain his title when he put his feet on the ropes to keep the challenger down for the count.

Cali Slick vs Ernest Youngman vs Robbie Wright

Up next was the semi main event established during the opening segment, a triple threat match for the right to challenge the Piledriver champion. Slick, Youngman and Wright all participated in this year's Rip Chord Invitational only to be eliminated during the quarterfinals, but that doesn't mean they're not great wrestlers, which is exactly what they proved in this match. Between Slick's hard hitting strikes, Youngman's slick suplexes and Wright's high flying, this match had something for everyone and really took the show to the next level, with Slick eventually getting the win after chokeslamming Wright onto Youngman with a Slick-Back.

Masked Patriot © vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera

This isn't the first time Patriot and Ferrera met and their familiarity showed, not just in their dodging and reversals but also in the way they methodically approached this match. Now also a two-time Piledriver champion, Patriot pushed Ferrera and fans were treated to a dramatic contest with some excellent in-ring action. Once again though, Ferrera went high risk with the High Impact Frog Splash and came up empty, allowing Patriot to hit the Patriot Slam and score the pin.

<strong>The Southern Stars vs Charger Siaki & Reaper</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

With Julius Moor now out of Piledriver Wrestling, Siaki and Reaper once more teamed up to take on the Southern Stars in a simple, hard hitting and brawl heavy tag match. Nothing pretty or fancy about this one, it did a solid job of getting fans warmed up and the Stars got the win over Siaki after a Texas Meat-Grinder.</p><p>

The really interesting (and probably also story significant) part came after the match, when the Mid Atlantic Express hit the ring to attack the Southern Stars, with Collier putting Harker in the Texas Cloverleaf and the Architect applying the Blueprint on Tennessee William.</p><p>

"Glorious" Logan Diaz vs "Return of the Monster" James Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The much anticipated next chapter in the ongoing rivalry between the Diaz cousins, this match allowed them to have a much wilder contest thanks to its anything goes stipulation. James Diaz had the advantage as long as he was able to keep Logan out of the ring in order to eliminate his technical arsenal and brawl with him, but the more experienced Logan proved he's not a former Piledriver Champion by accident and showcased some high ring IQ in bringing the fight back inside the ring as wel as tricking his cousin into falling for a roll up.</p><p>

Youngman showed up for this match accompanied by his former valet at PSW, Venus Angeletti, as he and Ferrera took on the equally athletic team of Wright and DeMarcus. With Cali Slick penciled in to face Masked Patriot for the big title later on, the contenstants here tried to make a mark and joust for position in the post-show landscape, while DeMarcus did his best to keep up. Had it not been for Venus Angeletti at ringside, he may have had a better night though, because the good looking manager interfered and working in unison with Youngman like they used to do in the past, the former PSW and NYCW wrestler took out DeMarcus with the Hit.</p><p>

She claimed that she is so good, she has beaten everyone there is to beat and has run out of worthy competition, so she made an open challenge for any wrestler on the roster or another promotion to show up and face her in a singles match any time in the future.</p><p>

Masked Patriot © vs Cali Slick</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Three months in the making, the seeds for this match were planted when Cali Slick was unable to show up at Night of the Champions in December to defend his title; thus, Slick was stripped and Masked Patriot won the vacant title, only for Slick to return demanding a rematch. After January's Rip Chord Invitational and winning a triple threat match to become the #1 contender, Slick finally faced Patriot for the belt and the match did not disappoint as the SoCal native's gritty intensity was up on display against Patriot's all-american amateur wrestling style. An exciting and pretty physical contest that looked like it could swing either way, this one kept upping the drama and tension as both men hit bigger and bigger moves only to come off with a two count every time, until...</p><p>

Cip f'n Conduit appeared out of nowhere with a chair in hand! The Piledriver dojo graduate and former champion himself, who had been off wrestling in Puerto Rico with FCW, ran to the ring and slammed Patriot with the chair right in front of the referee's eyes, leading to a DQ finish to the match. Conduit then took out Slick as well and hit Patriot with several more chair shots before security was able to drag him away.</p><p>

Robbie Wright, Riley McManus & Jebediah vs Xavi Ferrera, Reaper & Annihilus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A solid multi-man opener, this one was about a team of skilled, experienced babyfaces going up against the bigger and more powerful heel team. Having Jebediah's power in the face team and Ferrera's athleticism in the heel team rounded out things for both and after a nice back and forth for about ten minutes, Annihilus and Reaper hit Jebediah with a Death Bomb and a Choke Grip for the finish.</p><p>

With Animal Harker glaring menacingly behind him, Tennessee William cut a fiery babyface promo on the Mid Atlantic Express and their most recent sneak attack last month, saying the Stars want a match to get back at Collier and the Architect, regardless of whether the Tag Team titles will be on the line or not!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Charger Siaki vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A quite physical contest between two big bulldozers, this one was surprisingly heavy on the grappling instead of being just a standard brawl, reminiscent somewhat of a sumo contest as the two competitors spent a lot of time locked up and trying to maneuver each other around.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="SX0rBai.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SX0rBai.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The deadlock was broken when James Diaz made an appearance and despite him not actually interfering in the match, his presence was enough to split Logan's attention and create an opening for Siaki to control the match and build up towards his Crash Test finisher in order to score the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Charger Siaki, pinfall after a distraction from James Diaz</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Backstage, Lisa Bowen walked up to Ernest Youngman and commented on how useful the assistance from Venus Angeletti at Damage Inc was, before adding that she had just dumped those useless Boys from the Yukon in order to form a new, much more powerful group of clients, in which she offered Youngman a spot. The answer never came though, as the feed had to return to the ring and viewers were left wondering about Youngman's response.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

Once again, the Piledriver Women's champion Lora Washington came out to the ring with a mic in hand and cut a promo to repeat her Damage Inc challenge to any wrestler on the roster or another promotion to show up and face her.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><iframe width="560" height="315" src="</p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fQz97BYFrMY" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/fQz97BYFrMY"</a> frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="KLfWIJG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KLfWIJG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

Holy... it's <span style="font-size:14px;">Killer Kass!</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Though shocked by the appearance of the former USPW star, Washington stood her ground and the two shared an intense staredown moment in the ring, before Kass waved her away, indicating that this was not going to happen tonight as instead, she was scheduled to wrestle someone else.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Killer Kass vs Miss Atlantic Wrestling</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Clearly a highly symbolic match, Killer Kass' debut in Piledriver Wrestling was against Washington's fellow uber-patriot, Miss Atlantic Wrestling. As if out to send a message as well as assert her dominance, Kass never really allowed her opponent to build up any offensive momentum and in the short space of just over five minutes, destroyed Miss Atlantic Wrestling before hitting the Kill Switch to win the match.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Killer Kass, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

A celebration of how Piledriver Wrestling's female division has evolved through the years, the video package that aired next was centered around two roster originals, Laura Flame and Claire Winters.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Frederique Antonio Garcia © vs Masked Patriot</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Following the old recipe of the alliance champion touring to defend his title against local promotional champions, the main event was simple in execution, yet entertaining enough to not come across as one of the same. Despite his 45 years of age slowing him down, Garcia put on a good show and even used that feature to break up the pace of the match and garner some heel heat as he denied fans a promised big spot with his antics.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="rbZkSAB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rbZkSAB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Still, the main event was once again ruined by the presence of Cip Conduit, who once again attacked Masked Patriot for a DQ finish. With fans booing <em>him</em> now instead of Garcia and the announcers wondering why he was acting that way, Conduit left the ring with a smile...</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Frederique Antonio Garcia, by disqualification after Cip Conduit interfered</strong></p><p><strong>

Cip's smile froze however when he realized that the way backstage was blocked by none other than Cali Slick! Having received a chair shot himself at Damage Inc and with Conduit's actions costing him the title match, Slick was in no good mood and destroyed the dastardly Conduit, ending the show on a high note as fans actually cheered for him.</p><p>

Saturday, Week 4 March, 2021

Live from the Sweat Box, GA

The show opened with Marvin Earnest and Ernest Forthdyke-Hume interviewing Cip Conduit on his return to Piledriver Wrestling and the motives behind his actions since. Cip pointed out that except Xavi Ferrera and Masked Patriot, he too is a two-time Piledriver Champion and if those men, Cali Slick, the people in the back or the fans won't give him the respect he deserves for it, he'll just have to force them to when he becomes the first ever, the only three-time Piledriver champion!

The Southern Stars vs Charger Siaki & James Diaz

A rematch from last month's Damage Inc. opening contest, the Stars wrestled against Siaki and his new tag team partner James Diaz, following James' assist during Siaki's match against Logan Diaz at War for Territory #39. Siaki looked determined to get revenge for the pin he took last month but his fire ended up burning him when Animal Harker rolled through one of his moves to score another pin over him.

Winners: The Southern Stars, by pinfall with a fast roll up

Following the match, Lisa Bowen came out with the Mid Atlantic Express, revealing them as her new clients and the foundation of her new group, Bowen Services. Bowen cut a good promo on the Stars facing the Express for the Piledriver Tag Team titles and judging from the fans' reaction, it is a match they wouldn't mind seeing one more time, especially with the added factor of Bowen and her new group thrown in to alter the dynamic.

"Killer" Carl Bernard vs Riley McManus

Georgia fans were all to happy to see their native hero Riley McManus in action and Bernard got a lot of heat as he beat down on the beloved babyface, but McManus took the blows and made a textbook babyface comeback to win this, complete with an impressive display of strength as he lifted the massive Bernard up for the Slingshot Suplex.

Winner: Riley McManus, by pinfall

Cheers for the victor quickly turned to boos as the Piledriver United States champion Reaper entered the ring and hit the exhausted McManus with a Death Bomb that the recipient sold like he'd actually just had a bomb go off at his feet.

Non-title match

Cali Slick vs Cip Conduit vs Masked Patriot

This match was built around Slick and Patriot's ongoing title rivalry, with Conduit inserted due to his recent actions. Essentially, Patriot had the chance to get a modicum of revenge, Conduit was given the opportunity to show he deserves a title shot and Slick was out for both of the above. Again, Slick teased what might be an upcoming babyface turn as he beat down the despicable Conduit, at times even cooperating with Masked Patriot to hit the former champion with a tag team maneuver or two. Of course, there was no shortage of fighting between current and former champion, but after a sneak attack from Conduit on Patriot, things quickly went back to Slick brawling with Conduit and a Slick-Back ended the match while keeping the champion looking good.

Winner: Cali Slick, by pinfall

Logan Diaz cut a promo on his ongoing feud against his cousin James, basically recapping their feud and setting up the next chapter: Logan said their first bout ended via DQ, so they had a no-DQ match. That one ended with a chance roll up, meaning nothing had been proven beyond any doubt. Thus, Logan suggested one final encounter to solve this once and for all: a Last Man Standing match!

Lora Washington © vs Killer Kass

The culmination of Washinton's open challenge and the surprise appearance of Killer Kass, the main event featured those two with the Womens title on the line. Although Kass' size and style would suggest a typical powerhouse monster heel, the former USPW star proved here she's every bit as well-rounded as her opponent, surprising Washington as well as the fans with her chain wresting ability and even some high risk aerial moves. Every time Kass went for a high risk move howerver, her size slowed her down and Washington was able to regain control of the match, leading to a desperate move from the challenger who used the ropes for some extra leverage after a big slam.

Winner AND NEW Piledriver Womens champion: Killer Kass, by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage
